James pursed his lips. "Who could stab this face." He laughed dryly. "That was just a joke." He smiled. As she kept talking he could feel himself steady getting angrier. "Even the bravest kids in the school who think they are the **** couldn't." He crossed his arms.

"What IS she trying to imply!?!" He clenched his fist tightly. "To hell with staying here!" He snapped. "Look I get you had to watch someone die in front of you today, but we need to get it together. We're going to die if we stay here, at least if we leave we have a higher chance of survival. Think about it: When the other group finds out their representative is dead they're going to go after SOMEONE. It doesn't matter WHO'S done it it'll be a purely blind rage. If they come corner just in here we're trapped at least if we go out there we can run away." He pointed out. "We're all just afraid as you are."

"Except for me." He thought. "But we need to get the ball rolling here. My reasons are selfish I know, but my sister is out there and she's probably thinking her brother is a failure for not being able to protect her from these people." He screamed. He took a deep breath, lowering his voice. "Whatever you want to do, is up to you, but I say, we go and see what's going on out there."

Anthony was almost started by Jenn's announcement. He had been lost in thought about what Derron had to share about his experience in the challenge room. Their first volunteer described what he went through as a nightmare - and it sure did sound like one. It made him feel sick to his stomach while he went on about the happened since he could almost imagine it as the other boy spoke. Almost. He was sure that being in Derron's shoes during those moments were absolutely worse.

    "
I stand by what I said. We need to find the other groups and stick together. There's power in numbers, and we won't figure a way out of this by sitting around feeling sorry for ourselves."

He had turned to face Jenn as he spoke and stared at him blankly, assessing what he said. Anthony was all for teamwork and good sportsmanship just like in his doubles matches back in school but what the other boy had said didn't sound exactly right. He didn't want to be the one opposing everyone but he just wanted to keep thinking realistically: The guys who captured them along with the rumors of this horrific happening on the news made it clear that only one was to survive - if there are any survivors. Aside that, the reason why only one survives is because everyone else is pushed to murder each other.

Additionally, challenge one was just completed. Someone had died and by shifting his gaze back to Derron for a short moment it became clear to him that the first blood drawn from their group affected the other participants and in turn, all the other groups alongside their volunteers. How was the group of the one who had passed felt about all of this? How about the student from the group of the one with the killer? How about the others?

To Anthony, it seemed a little too optimistic for everyone to suddenly band together and fight. Well, call it what they wanted but whatever they coined together would probably look like rebellion to the men who captured them - and with the shock collars secured onto their necks, it just didn't seem like the brightest idea to him. However, speaking up and being that one guy who was against the idea could put him at a bad place, which in any other given situation, he really wouldn't care but in one as dangerous as this? He had to choose wisely. It would be great if others in his group thought the same - but was that chance a risk he was willing to take? Hmm...

He looked back at Jenn, and inhaled a rather deep breath (which he soon regretted since the air was so dusky). Exhaling, he lightly pushes his glasses up on his nose bridge,
"We have to be careful." he started, nervous about his choice of words but continued, "I agree with moving, we can't just stay here but we must be wary of the others. Humans can be pushed to do horrible things with their life on the line." he looked at the others in his group as well before repeating, "We have to be careful."

We have to be careful. I agree with moving, we can't just stay here... but we must be wary of the others. Humans can be pushed to do horrible things with their life on the line... We have to be careful.

Careful? Careful? At a time like this? Someone could be dying right now. Jenn clenched his fist, fighting the urge to snap at Anthony. This is the worst time, he warned himself, the very worst time to start a fight. Disagreements were embers - Any little spat could start a fire, any opposition become an excuse to kill someone. They had to stay unified. He had to keep them unified.

Careful... Yeah, of course... That was all Jenn managed to say, still lost in thought. He itched the collar again. One slip-up and they'd all be fried - so was there really any power in numbers? Or would that just get everyone killed sooner? There had to be a balance. There had to be a solution. One that didn't end in x = 1.

One thing at a time, he coached himself. Work with what you know. These guys like to watch teenagers kill each other, right? ...No, more than that - If that was all it was, they could've just lined them up, handed them pistols, and said shoot. But they made them squirm first. They made... They made a game out of it.

I have an idea. I dunno if it'll work, but I promise I'll be careful. Jenn took a few steps into the open doorway, then looked back to see if the others would follow. It wouldn't be so easy by himself...

Aeron could only nod in response to what Anthony said, but Derron replied by slammed his fist against the wall. It wasn't that the brute didn't agree with his words, it was just that he as royally pissed. How long would it be until that fist slamming stopped? Aeron wondered this as he stared over at Derron and sighed.

Derron was the first to rise to his feet and follow Jen while Aeron followed behind. He did not have much hope for whatever Jen had planned, but they really had no real option at the moment. There was no guarantee that they would be getting fed so food was probably going to be a problem for them as well.

These captors desired entertainment, it was the only reason Aeron could thing of. The collars on their neck were sure to kill them if they did anything undesirable. He thought about what Anthony said and it was something they definitely needed to be wary of. Nobody could say that they were saint like and would offer their life randomly. He was sure as hell nobody was troll like that they would off themselves first for no goddamn reason. For now Aeron just followed on with his hands in his coat pocket.

"I stand by what I said. We need to find the other groups and stick together. There's power in numbers, and we won't figure a way out of this by sitting around feeling sorry for ourselves."

So it seemed like they were going to venture out of the room in an attempts to find a way out. It wasn't a bad idea and certainly was better than sitting here waiting to be picked off one at a time. Since Kaied was never one of socialization unless either asking for something or someone had spoken to him before hand, he'd spent most of the time that the others were discussing listening in and thinking about it.

"I agree with moving, we can't just stay here but we must be wary of the others. Humans can be pushed to do horrible things with their life on the line."

With that in mind, it would be ideal if none of the other groups had fallen that fair. While he did think that was unlikely to happened for the moment, humans could only take so much and even that differed among every person. Though even if one person did end up like that, hopefully said persons group could handle them. Now if it was the entire group, well again he doubted that it came to that.

Eventually he stood up from his spot as he watched Jen and Aeron walked out the room. Since their next course of action was clear for the most part, he silently followed behind into the darkness.

It was officially decided for them to get up and fucking do something finally -- about damn time. Dominic really hated sitting around like a little bitch. He was better than that. If these punks were playing fair, he could totally take them on. They only had the advantage because of the shock collars. They were able to zap them every time they misbehaved, like dogs. It was disgusting. Dominic was used to being treated a lot of different ways, but never like a damn animal. Those stupid sons of bitches were gonna get what they deserved and not an ounce less.

They walked out of the room by the glow of the flashlight. They had barely made it into the hallway when they came to a T intersection. They could keep going straight, or turn right. The group of fiery male teens only debated for a minute before settling on turning down the new hall, Derron having stated that he definitely went straight earlier to get to and from the 'Challenge Room.' The opened up to a doorway, long since missing its door. The room was large and filled with stalls, sinks, and urinals. The flashlight allowed for them to easily see that it had once been a bathroom.

Up against one wall slumped the dead figure of that chick Sancia and against another sat that homo boy -- what's his name?? -- Brody or something. Dominic looked at Derron with a mixture of confusion and indifference. I thought you said that bitch died in that other room you were in? he questioned the guy. Dominic walked over to Brady and kicked at his ankle with the toe of his shoe. Hey faggot, what are you doin' all the way out here by yourself? If you wanted to see some pussy, you should really ask a living bitch. Playing with the dead is creepy as fuck.

He clicked his tongue to the roof of his mouth and shoved his hands into the front pockets of his jeans. Dominic was already bored of their little adventure and he wanted to go smash some abductor heads in. They deserved a good beat down and he was prepared to give it. As soon as he comes face - to - face with them, that damn collar won't mean shit.

Jenn shoved his elbow into Dom. Dude, clean out your fucking mouth.

As if I have to fucking listen to you, Dom said, and shoved him back. Jenn paid him no mind, and knelt beside Brady.

Hey man. You all right? He considered putting his hand on the kid's shoulder, but thought better of it—Might just make things worse. Instead he left him some space, hands in plain view, and tried not to loom over him. It's okay, we're not gonna hurt you.

The details given told her it's just as dark out there as it is here, they were likely to be given weapons before being sent at each other, and even good people can be tricked into killing. She felt regret over marking Rae as a bad person so quickly, but she will still be wary of her anyway. Killing someone must change a person.

Though this isn't to say she wouldn't be wary of everyone else as well.

"If this is a game... The boring will be..." She didn't feel the need to finish it, not as they were already planning on moving out anyway. So instead she swallowed hard, nodding to herself.

She just needed to keep moving...wait...and run...

Wait, were they still talking? Talking was pointless as they were taking so long. They needed to move.
"Can't find help here." As this was said she moved to leave the area, looking back at them. Being stabbed in the back would be awful...but heading out alone didn't seem much better. Especially if any of the other groups managed to get along.

Group Four leaves the confines of their room.
They decide to explore what is further down the hall.
With the beam of the flashlight, it is determined that they reach a DEAD END.

Dust and debris falls from the ceiling. Liberty looks up and points to the spikes shaking and Nolan calls out for them to run back.

After leaving she decided that being lead of the group was not ideal, for if any danger came their way she would have to face it head on. But being at the end was also bad... Even the middle could have serious downsides.

Oh. What a headache. But in the end no change of her position came as they braved the passageway, though it was a short walk.

    Dead end already...

If it were not for Libby bringing attention to it right away it was possible that she wouldn't have noticed the danger until it was too late, but thanks to her that was not the case. Then Nolan's comment helped, bringing her legs to life as she turned to run back.

Aria here's Nolan's call for them to run for it. Aria wastes no time, spinning down back the way they came. She takes a deep breath, her heart pumping. "It's not the running. It's the fear. Calm down Aria. Shhh." She thought to herself. She took another deep breath. "Death is so terribly final..." She thought. She cringed. "No no no don't think don't think just keep running." She thought. She ran as hard and as strong as she could, not looking behind her.

Liberty didn't wait to see if the others were coming. There was no way she would risk death by those damn falling projectiles. It was survival of the fittest here and she was going to make it safely back to their room. She ran as fast as she could straight ahead.

Carlie may have been a cheerleader, but she was no runner. After hearing Nolan's voice, she broke out into the best sprint she could and booked it back to the room.

Everyone checks to see if they are okay.
The dust seems to settle and cautiously,
they move back towards the mess.
In the middle of it, lay Leon.
Concrete covers his body and blood trickles down his back
and sides from the three spikes that landed after
he was knocked out from rubble.
Further inspection shows no sign of life.

Aria glances back up at the ceiling
and her eyes widen in surprise and disbelief.
A small hole opened, revealing light from the floor above,
unfortunately, it's too high to reach or widen.
Instead, they are left with Leon's lifeless body
and a litter of razor sharp spikes and concrete.

Aria didn't scream when she saw Leon caked in blood. She wasn't a screamer. She was in too much shock to even whimper. She shook with anger and the feeling of betrayal. She took a deep breath, her knees nearly giving away. After making sure she had seen no signs of life in Leon, she stood up. She felt a rush of cold air go down her spine. That's when the panic started to set in. Someone had just died. She took a deep breath. "Don't panic Aria. Don't let your thoughts win, don't think, just, focus. Focus, no, stop that. Stop thinking about it, you'll be ok. Everything is going to be alright. Relax relax. It's fine it's fine it's fine." Her hand shook. She was trembling. "The worst thing you can do is think about it if you think about it you'll get more afraid fear is nothing but a trick of the mind. Just stay calm. Breath. Cool Aria. Cool down..." Her breathing was heavy, but her eyes turned to stone.

"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives." She sighted mournfully. She blinked tears away from her face, realizing she had no idea who this person was that had just died. "There's a hole open in the ceiling." Aria pointed. "It's way too high for us to get up to it. It looks like it's going onto another floor. It doesn't look like sun light, but I could be wrong." She said, looking up once more. "I suggest we move on, before something falls down it. It doesn't look very safe." She explained. "We can't just stay around here. It isn't safe, obviously." She stated.

She has to ignore the body. Giving it attention would only cause panic and maybe even vomit. It took everything just to hold back a scream, which ended up leaving her breathless yet again.

Her focus instantly jumped to the light, giving it all to that rather than the boy. An escape... So close yet they had no way of reaching it. That only made everything seem hopeless so she couldn't look at it either.

Turning she took a few paces away from the scene. If it were not for the spikes she would insist on trying to get up there. Angie would have surely failed to be the first one to speak, being far too shaky and in shock to do so. But there was something soothing in the voice of the one who did.

Now pointing to the supplies Libby kept, giving it her all to stop her gaze from falling upon the deceased.
"Was there..." If only she had practiced public speaking more before now. "A ladder....there..." There being the place where the stuff came from; the supply room. Hopefully they got that.

He was damn sure that the girl died in the other room and her being here was unsettling as hell. Staring at the body was strange this time, it wasn't that he felt anger or hatred at the state of the body but this time just staring at it he felt nothing. In his eye it was nothing more than another body, he didn't feel the need to grieve for her. She was a victim, nothing more.

He couldn't deny that he was ready to kill her at the drop of a bell. When he was told about what everybody had, Derron didn't protest in the slightest but merely thought of ways to kill the others. If he was to die then so be it, but he would drag the bastards that stared it along with him.

"Alright, speak before some sort of **** starts up" Derron said not pleased in the slightest as he stared down at the boy with a narrowed eye. He was growing impatient with this boy and even now he did not know if this boy could be that of a threat or not. He was still on guard and ready to whack the fool with the metal sheet they had if need be.

KILLS - NONE MOOD - HORRIFIED

After the dust had settled from the spiked ceiling's collapse, another dead body lay before them. His breathing hitched as he fully processed that another one of their classmates just died. This is the second time he has witnessed a death and it wasn't any easier seeing it happen. The image of his mangled body would never leave his mind, much the same as how the image of Sancia's dead body was burned into his memories. He pulled off his glasses and rubbed his eyes tiredly.

"Was there..." The shaken girl started. "A ladder... there..." It took him a little while to figure out what Angie was asking, though he pieced it together.

"I don't remember seeing any ladders in the Supply Room," he answered solemnly. After taking a while to collect himself, he turned his back and put his glasses back on, adjusting them with his finger. "Let's go back. I'd rather not risk having to see another person die today." Two deaths in one day was a harsh way for things to start off. He had hoped for the sake of the other groups that they didn't have to go through something similar to what they just did. All they could do now was just try to stay alive and hope that they can get out of this ordeal alive.

Marilyn was nervous as all hell. No, nervous wasn't the right word. Marilyn was freaking the fuck out. And he knew he couldn't have been the only one. Still, he wanted to get out of here, or at least do something to get them out of there. And they all at this point where just sitting around not really sure what to do.

Marilyn grabbed a flashlight from where Rae Anne had placed them and he took a deep breath and spoke, "I hope someone else is coming with me. I'm heading out there..." He nervously looked behind him into the dark room and then looked back at Rae Anne, "Are you sure, hun?"

"Don't call me hun. I'm definitely staying here."

Marilyn looked over at the rest of the group and turned on the flashlight and spoke,
    "Let's go then..."

James stood up as well. His poor sister... he wondered if she had cried when she realized where they were. No. He was the only one allowed to make his sister cry. He clenched his fist, with a whole new determination. He could feel the blood pumping in his fist and he held it, tighter and tighter. He loved the numb feeling that went through him.

He was pleased that someone had finally listened to him. He smiled at Rae Anne. "We have strengths in numbers." He tried to reason with Rae Anne. He was more then ready to go, he needed to find her. Who knew what was out there though. But James didn't go back on his word. It would make him look like a coward, and he had little tolerance for cowardice. His father told him to never go back on promises, and to always pay his debts to others. The people here were just tools to get ahead, give and take. There was no real friendship in the world, and there certainly wouldn't be here. His sister asked him about the people with courage, who tried to do good. His reply was simple: People wanted attention. And what better way to get attention that to save someone's life. It wasn't heroics, it was humans and their selfish needs. To that he remembered his sister very disappointed. But that was life.

"We'll be back before you know it." He winked. He turned away from her, bracing himself for whatever was behind closed doors.
