[---Day 12 (4/4)---January 1st---Location: Home---Mood: At ease---Ooc: N/A]

Today had been rather nice. Sure Dennis did next to nothing, but it still was oddly putting him at peace. His mind hadn't really gone to anything on the deaths that had happened, and despite recently happening, neither the funeral. He just sat down and continued playing games on his console until he finally realized how late it was getting. After noticing that, he switched the game off and prepared himself some dinner. It was nothing more than some instant noodles, but it was something a person with not too much money and no job at all could really eat. And it still certainly hit the spot.

With dinner done he threw the cup the noodles were in away and through his spoon into the dishwasher. As he started to run it he started pondering on what to do tomorrow. Maybe hang out with someone? Though he didn't really know who to hang out with. Maybe just walk around town. Or better yet bik- "oh my god." He facepalmed at what he just realized. Ever since he biked to the musical for the performance and since the party at Sophie's he never once went back to the school. He had accidently left his bike at school for at least 6 days and didn't really want to think of what condition it might be in with all the snow going on after all this time. After banishing the negative thoughts he resolved that priority number one was going out to the school and retrieving his bike...even if he did have to run all the way there.

Sighing at this revelation he walked over to bed and changed into his sleeping attire. Slipping under the covers he started to think of just random thoughts in general. With nothing much left to do he just closed his eyes and drifted off to the delightful realm of sleep.

Pierce was tired by the time she got home. Sure, the spa had been relaxing in a sense, but it didn't leave her fully rejuvenated. Her nerves had been on edge as she feared she might do something wrong in the process of everything going on at the spa. She also felt rather exposed being nearly completely naked -- only covered by a towel -- with Sophie and the strangers that massaged and exfoliated them. She couldn't help but occasionally steal glances at Sophie and her perfectly petite body. Everyone seemed to like her.
The drive home had been filled with minimal chatting. School was starting in two days. She told Sophie that she wouldn't be able to do anything with her tomorrow because she had a lot of homework to catch up on. Sophie seemed skeptical, but since Pierce had canceled her plans with Oliver, it was the one hundred percent truth. She hadn't even dared look at her phone other than to check the time. She was too afraid to see what response he might have sent her or worse, none at all.
What do you want, Pierce? Do you want me to leave? ... Do you really ... Want me here, with you?
She sighed as she put on her pajamas. Maybe she should text him again apologize. Would he even accept it for canceling on him? What does he want? She had no idea. Relationships were too hard. It was easier if she just didn't get involved with anyone. Pierce crawled into bed. Her muscles felt relaxed, but her mind just kept wandering. It took forever for her to finally fall asleep. She kept thinking about the nice day she had with Sophie and the day she was supposed to have with Oliver. Her chocolate brown eyes gazed longingly at the portrait of her father. If only he were here. She sighed and eventually dozed off.

DAY: 12 - 4/4 | DATE: January 1st, 2016 | LOCATION: Home

After eating his food and hearing his little sister's question to him, he calmly put down his silverware and exhaled.
"Look, just tell me on your own time, ok? If you really want to tell me about your eye, you can tell me tomorrow. But for now, you should probably go to bed. You're free to spend the night again." Afterwards, he grabbed the dishes and set them into the sink and prepared to wash them. It took him no less than five minutes to completely clean the dishes, silverware, wring out the sponge, and dry off his hands.

When all was said and done, he went back to his room after saying good night to Zoey. He made sure everything was in its proper place and made sure that all of the lights in his house were off before going to his bedroom. There, he did his nightly routine and then turned off the lights and turned on his TV. He sat there, flipping through the channels to see what he could watch. Seeing the Science Channel, he set the sleep timer and put his TV remote on the night stand next to his bed.

The show that was currently showing on the Science Channel would lull him to sleep with the boring talk of physics and particles and all of the other stuff he didn't really care to understand. To him, it might as well be in French since he didn't really understand what the hell was going on anyways. After ten minutes passed, he was soundly asleep, bored to sleep by the information being spewed from his TV.

Zoey pressed her lips tightly together. Not today, maybe another day. She became very quiet, finishing up her soup and ate the noodles. It really did help her feel a lot better, and she was grateful she had a big brother to watch out for her now. Her sore throat was even feeling a lot better than it had been earlier, her coughs were even less and less.

Soon, night had come and Zoey was plum tuckered out. She texted her father to let her know she was alright, and she would return home when she wasn't so angry at him. Zoey found her way back to the bathroom to where the cold medication was and took some more with water. She hoped this horrible ickiness she had would soon disappear. But she knew colds lasted longer than they needed to.

She then asked from Freddie for some of his clothes to wear as night clothes instead of her own attire. She found herself in the guest bedroom once more, changing into her night outfit before she plopped into bed, snuggled up under the blankets and pillows, and fell soundly asleep, only coughing here and there throughout the night.

The spa day with Pierce had been wonderful, though Sophie felt a little spaced out for more than half of it. She had done a fairly good job of covering it up, so it all worked out in the end.

School would be officially starting in two days, and Sophie fretted that, because it meant she would have to return home, to that house. Her parents might actually show up as well. She was surprised that they hadn't already, considering what happened post-Christmas . . .

Her imagination quickly brought on the smell and sight of blood and she felt nauseous. That girl, Seraphina, she just had to stab herself, didn't she? That had brought on the terrible memories of those four days two years ago . . . Although she tried not to think about it, they really had been getting to her again. Making her slip up in her person.

It was really annoying.

Though she wouldn't admit it, she was really happy that Pierce wasn't forcing her to leave. She never worried about imposing now, and still didn't, but if her friend was against her on it, it would have been troublesome. Speaking of, was she still going tomorrow, with Oliver? She would have to wait to find out . . .

With a tired sigh, Sophie climbed into bed, next to the sleeping girl, and drifted off herself.

He was disappointed that Noëlle never replied to his text message, but maybe she was just busy? Sigh, some other time, then . . .

He wondered when his Cupid's Brew package would arrive. Maybe he would have to do a little research on it this time? Love potion or not, there was definitely something up with it that put him off. Still, if it really was the real deal, he wanted to try it on one of his girls and see the effects.

He got up from his computer chair and gave a wide stretch, and then climbed into bed to fall asleep minutes later.

- - -

The remainder of Bryan's day wasn't good. He was in shambles. Worse than that — he couldn't even function properly because he was so worried about Noëlle. She kept not answering her phone, and with Julius' suspicions . . .

He was short of nothing but hysterical. He couldn't even drive home! Harley had to come pick him up, and . . . He almost went home, to mom. Had she noticed that her daughter was missing? Maybe not. Noëlle was usually scarce in the house anyway, but now . . .

But now . . . She might actually be gone.

He was forced to lay down in bed, but he wasn't sure if he ever fell asleep or not.

Um, hey... Maybe ice skating, tomorrow is a bad idea, unless you still want to?
otherwise, i guess i'll see you
around. oh, and i'm returning
the movie. so... yeah.... happy
new year and all that...

Oliver ignored the text for most of the day, bouncing back and forth between replies in his head. He didn't leave the house, but he wasn't exactly depressed or anything. It was just all beginning to feel tiresome. He needed a break. Reed left early and didn't come back home for hours. When he finally did [ just as Oliver was plopping in a movie to watch ], he left shortly with a woman he didn't recognize and said he'd be back in a couple of days.

The rest of his day was spent normally, and alone. Eventually he logged onto his laptop and began to browse the internet. It didn't have an extreme hook on him like it did some people, but it was nice when there was nothing else to do. He hadn't even realized he was signed into his messenger until an alert from Mary went off.

She wished him a happy New Year and told him she missed him. Apparently she was back from Flordia or whatever and had done a lot of thinking. He didn't buy it. Not really. Especially not once she alerted him that she hadn't gotten the job she wanted -- it turned out to be a scam. She was just looking for someone to vent to. He listened, though, and apologized for hurting her.

He wasn't really sorry.

Night came and dinner was had. A warm shower was taken after, and when he was through, it was time for bed. Before shutting off is light and falling asleep, he texted Pierce back. He wasn't going to force her into things. He'd be lying if he said it didn't irritate him, but between neglectful Mary, emotional Grace and stuttering Pierce ... He was better off just quitting while he was ahead. He was irritated with playing games. He wasn't going to say he 'wanted' to spend time with her. It wouldn't be a lie, he did, and he was looking forward to their day together -- but as much as he liked Pierce [ or, wanted to ] she was coming across as an attention whore like everyone else. Girls with zero self-confidence frustrated him. Why did she have to be dramatic and cancel? Why couldn't they just spend the day together without the bullshit?

Everything frustrated him ...

To: Pierce
Alright. That's fine. See you.

All he could do was merely search around aimlessly ready to find whatever clue he could get, he was desperate and just couldn't even concentrate properly. Was Jonathan ok? was he dead? it hurt to think of such things, but he couldn't just stop. He needed a break and so he placed a hand on the nearby wall and began to try and catch his breath. He panted as his hair fell forward and glanced down at the ground. He continued to breath in the air, but soon enough something caught his eye and Julius walked over to it.

He merely walked as if in a daze, as if being drawn by the object before him and once he finally got there he crouched down. His eyes began to burn and the gastric juices began to threaten to escape. He picked up the object and held it tightly in his hand as he clenched his eyes tightly and gritted his teeth "I knew it...I ****ing knew it...I was hoping it didn't happen...I tried to deny it...but..." Julius began to say before a tear fell down "Damn it...worthless...how many times am I going to screw up like this?!" Julius said opening his eye once more to stare at the item.

The necklace that Bryan gave to Noelle....what he held in his hand was that very item and what it truly confirmed was that Noelle was in the hospital. How would Bryan take this news? would the boy go mad? Julius couldn't falter, if he did then he wouldn't be able to truly fix this all. Noelle and Jonathan, they had the chance of still being alive and he was going to make sure they stayed alive. He could still recall that conversation that Noelle had with him, he wanted her not to live a life of fear, and not to worry about death. Julius still wished this for her and for Jonathan to live the life he wanted. Wiping the tears away Julius stood up and closed his eyes before bringing out a phone. Bryan needed to know, but if Bryan couldn't handle the news then as sad as it was he would have to hold any information from the boy.

With the message sent, Julius placed away the necklace and exited out of the hospital. Tomorrow he would do some more investigating and at the same time he would confront Bryan about this. The two of them lost siblings and needed to work together to resolve this. With that over Julius walked out and headed home. Julius had hoped his release from the hospital would be more happy, but fate always just bit him in the ass. Entering his house the man collapsed on his bed and fell asleep.

Not too long after leaving the shop, Shane soon ended up back home. He soon made his way towards the bathroom and showered when he got there. Once he was finished he headed into his room where he climbed into his bed and went to sleep.

Her morning was miserable. Very miserable.

Right as Sasha woke up, she was subjected to many medical injections since her infection wasn't completely gone yet. That process left her whole left side numb for about a hour. Also police came in to question her since she did have stab wounds. She made a lie about falling onto a knife and ignoring the wound for a few days.

To make matters worse, her family couldn't visit her. Actually more like contact her because they left a few days earlier, thus missing the calls from the police. What a start to a day.

She sighed and laid back on the hospital bed, staring at her surroundings, having bad memories of her last visit to a hospital. At least the person who saved me could check up...not that I want them to...

Ryder grumbled crankily as he cleaned his room. His mom was downstairs cleaning and crying in the kitchen when he woke up and she instructed him to 'march his butt right back upstairs and take care of his room.' So his room needed to be cleaned, but they weren't even allowed to step foot into Richie's. He sighed as he rifled through the things under his bed. He had somehow acquired a great number of his brother's things under there. What was he supposed to do with them now? Toss them? That would probably put his mother into a whole new sobbing fit. He couldn't deal with anymore crying. It would probably be best to just dump it all in Richie's room and let his mom deal with it later. As Ryder reached into the dark underbelly of the black void that was below his bed, his hand suddenly began to grope a small box. He wrapped his fingers around the sides of it and pulled it out.

The box was ornately wrapped in colorful reds, golds, and pinks. He undid the ribbon that held it together and the sides fell open, exposing the contents within. There was a small heart-shaped vial with liquid inside. His head started to hurt as he tried to remember where it came from. It wasn't anything he had seen before. A small card was attached, reading: Cupid's Brew. Right! It was some strange 'love potion' he found on the internet. He had planned to give it to Richie for their birthday next month. It seemed right up his twin's alley.

He sat down on the floor, leaning his back against the side of the bed. His fingers poked at the cutesy vial gingerly until he finally lifted it from within the box. Blue eyes tunneled on it. What was he supposed to do with it now? It was meant to be a sort of joke present, as if it could really make someone love you. Hah! Too funny. Ryder rolled it around in his hands, back and forth. Maybe he could return it, or give it to Elisa. Elisa seemed like the best option. She would probably enjoy it. That sounded like the most logical option. I could always use it. As if. Who would he even use it on? Stupid Richie. Well he had kind of liked Sophie, but after what he walked into one week ago, he wasn't so sure about that anymore.

He just had really mixed feelings. The police were unable to identify what the drug inside everyone was. They were definitely drugged. Ryder hadn't been there. Maybe if he had -- No. He had to quite telling himself that. But he was the older one. The eldest were supposed to look after their family, even if they didn't particularly care for them. Except in their dad's case. He wasn't looking after the family. He was living in that little pit hole of a house. The place stunk like booze and dirty clothes.

Ryder sighed again and put the vial back in the box. Maybe if Sophie was madly in love with him then she would share what she knew about the deaths. She had to know something. It was an idea. Not one that he felt proud of in the least bit, but an idea none the less. Ryder decided to file it away in his head for later.

He wrapped up the small box once more and moved to his bed, leaving his room still a mess. It was actually a larger mess than when he started. He flopped down on the bed and pulled his laptop close to him. If he had found the site, maybe others had as well. Ryder vaguely remembered talk awhile back, which was why he hadn't been too freaked out when the website magically appeared in his web browser. It still scared the shit out of him, but not so badly.

His fingers typed slowly on the keyboard, one by one, until he had a status message composed. He wasn't the fastest typer and often times had grammatical errors. It was easier to just do shorthand, even if it wasn't the prettiest. Ryder pushed the computer away from him, the box resting next to it and got to his feet. He needed to finish his room before his sobbing mother came barreling in and stole his Xbox or something. That would most definitely be the end of the world. How the hell would he play games then? Emulators were so not the same.

Estelle smiled as she woke up from sleep, and realized that the shop was opened today. She hurried into the hallway and picked up her gardening outfit from the far left hand side and then went into her room to go change, she looked nice in it she thought. She skipped out on breakfast and went down stairs and sat down at the front desk. Vega came to shoo her away saying for her to go water the plants. She stood went around doing what she normally did, singing to herself as she did it. She tried to do her job without getting into her sisters' way but it didn't seem to work.

Estelle took a minute to look out the window. Not one single person had come in today. She sighed doubtfully and then went back to watering the plants. Xion had come out to help, but ended up tripping Estelle, having her land on the floor watering can flying and dumping water all over her head, the watering can then landing on it. "Owwww..." Estelle said, trying to get up but then slipping again. This was not her morning....

Morning arrived for Julius and unlike the usual times, Julius awoke far earlier than he truly needed to. This truly never came as a surprise for Julius as he had a very hard time sleeping. He had no idea how his brother and favourite student was and Julius needed to do something before something happened to them. He wanted to rush on over, but he needed to at least build up strength otherwise his sleep deprived self would have made some terrible decisions.

Hopping into the shower, Julius washed his skin and soon enough began to re-wrap a new set of bandages over his body before setting his clothes on. Gathering the things he needed, Julius stepped out of his house and soon enough was out into his car before he knew it. With a sigh, Julius pulled out the necklace that belong to Noelle and closed his eyes. "Noelle....just stick with Johnny boy....I'll get you two back" Julius said before starting the car.

As he drove he soon found parking and made his way to the entrance of the hospital. For now all that was left for him to do was to wait for Bryan and prepare for a discussion with the man he worked together with two years ago. He had received no reply from Bryan and neither did he have any proof that Bryan would show up, but Julius still decided to see if he would arrive. If not then Julius would simply begin his investigation alone.

Even with Harley at his side, the whole night passed with Bryan lingering in the gray area between wakefulness and sleeping. It was terrible. All he could think about was Noëlle. His thoughts were filled with what might be happening to her. Where she might be. If she actually was taken. If she was okay.

School was starting soon, but Bryan would be damned if he even thought of going while she was missing. God. He was a terrible excuse for a brother! Why did he continue to stay here at Harley's? He should have been there for her — with her!

He turned over on his side to check his phone; maybe she had called him or texted him or . . . anything. No. Nothing. He clenched his tear-glazed eyes shut, and forced himself to take a deep breath. Someone else had sent him a message.

FROM: Professor
Hey....meet me tomorrow outside of the hospital tomorrow at 8:00 AM,
I need to discuss things with you....though if your not feeling well don't
bother...I need you mentally prepared

Mentally . . . prepared?

Bryan recalled two years ago; that had been a terrible situation too, hadn't it? He didn't like thinking about it, but working with Julius had made things a little easier.

This time, though, there was something different at stake — something far more important than that group's survival, and even his own . . . It was Noëlle's. Staring up at the ceiling, his expression darkened. In all truth, he was scared of what might happen, but he couldn't be selfish. His selfishness had led to this situation.

It won't happen again.
Bryan arrived at the hospital a little while after 8:00am, and there he was, Professor Julius, waiting for him. After parking, he turned off the car, and gripped the steering wheel. He needed to be mentally prepared. For what, he wondered.

"Professor . . . " he let out, breathlessly. "I'm . . . I'm here."

Lucas stared out the window with his hands knitted together behind his back. It was snowing lightly. He never asked her, but he quietly wondered if FATIME liked snow.

She hadn't tried to contact him. He hadn't tried to contact her. Lucas and FATIME weren't the poster children for siblings, but he did have some semblance of caring for her. It was more in the point where as long as she was alive, he was fine with their distance.

. . . As it were, though, she wasn't. Not really. FATIME was the internally lively sort, which Lucas had always appreciated about his sister. They were alike in a lot of ways, but she was more empathetic than himself, by far. Her current behavior, to him, was incomprehensible. Through that direction, it was rather annoying, and upsetting. A girl normally set so lively, dead to the world by her own making.

She was such a frail person, he had come to realize over the years. So delicate. So easily crippled. A butterfly, cast in monochrome.

He clicked his tongue and pulled out his phone.

Fatime, you have been sulking for far too long. I insist you quit this emotional asininity.❞ he said in a calm tone. ❝You could not have known, and neither could I. However, what's done is done, and we cannot repudiate our actions. Now, I demand that you gain some pretense of life and come to the Bennett Residence. Sophie isn't present, although Torvald Tannhauser is. He . . . is interesting Fatime.

He took a breath and thought about just how interesting TORVALD really was, to him.

. . . I want to tell you about him, Fatime. Unfortunately, I cannot if you continue your current miserable and pathetic path. You will pull yourself together and come see me. I will not ask again.

He hung up the phone and slipped it into his pockets, and then headed into the kitchen to make an early lunch. It would be around noon by now, wouldn't it?

He walked out of the library and glanced at the sleeping young man on the couch. He was quite pretty, wasn't he? Lucas smiled to himself. Beasts could be pretty sometimes. Beautiful, even. Maybe Lucas thought this because he was interesting.

Beginning to hum a tune with a smile on his face, he walked into the kitchen and began to prepare lunch.

Zoey had decided that maybe another time would be better for her and her big brother to catch up on what happened since he last saw her. It was just the beginning of the New Year after all, and who wanted to darken the hopes and light of it? So, instead, she said goodbye to her brother and wished him only the best. The worst part of the cold was pretty much over. The coughs had subsided to being very few and more quiet, her throat was no longer sore, and she just had the occasional runny nose. Freddie had taken very good care of her. She was going to be alright. Her big brother had taken her home, and she said her hellos to her father who was just on his way to work. She was still not happy with him, but not nearly as mad and as broken hearted as she was a few days ago. Things would be okay between them for right now.

Instead of staying at the house after her dad left for the hospital, Zoey changed out of her old clothes and into new ones after taking a shower and freshening herself up. With her scarf around her mouth and nose, a hood to cover her head and ears, gloves to cover her fingers, and good sturdy but cool looking boots to keep her feet warm, she went out once more for another adventure.

After a good fifteen to twenty minutes of being out and about. she came upon a small flower shop, something she hadn't really noticed before until now. Humming to herself, she opened the door and headed in. It was nice and warm inside; Zoey could feel that through her jacket. She took off her hood and stuffed her gloves in her pocket as she walked in further into the shop. Her mouth was opened in a daze as she looked around with her good eye. There was so many plants and flowers, all of them so beautiful and unique. She approached a small blue orchid on a table, taking a look at it as she zipped down her jacket a bit to keep herself from overheating. "Cool." Maybe she would get something for herself while she was here.

...We can chase the dark together; if you go, then so will I...

Homework. Homework. Homework. Her chocolate brown eyes flashed to the phone. Homework. Homework. Homework. One text wouldn't kill her, would it? Homework. Homework. Homework. He probably hated her now. The message last night was so short. Five words. That was all he sent. Homework. Homework. Homework. She put the textbook aside. She couldn't focus. Homework? Please. It was an excuse. She wanted to talk to him. She really did. She shouldn't have canceled, but she had never had a male friend before. The only friend she had ever had was Sophie. Sophie. Her gaze shifted to the brunette that had been living with her the past week. The only sort of relationship she was used to was the weird one she had with Sophie.
I should just apologize and ask him if he still wants to go. No. She couldn't go with Sophie here. I could invite her along... No. She didn't want anyone to be the third wheel and she had a feeling that if she invited Sophie, she would be that third wheel. Plus, then Sophie would be getting what she suggested that late night. The three of us could go on a date. Something about that made her feel extremely unsettled. If Sophie liked Oliver, why wouldn't she just tell her? It's not like she would try and get in-between that.
There was a heaviness in her heart. Did she want to get in-between it? That was preposterous. Or was it? She felt so weird around Oliver, but it was a good kind of weird. She hadn't felt like that since... -- Those thoughts were filed away. She didn't like to think about it. She made a bad decision then, why would this be any different? She wasn't good at making decisions. At least when it came to Sophie, she didn't have to decide. The other girl just sort of imposed her will upon her. Not that she minded ( all the time ).
Homework! That's what she needed to be focusing on. School would be starting tomorrow. She shouldn't have even been making plans on the last day of vacation when she still had homework to do. So stupid. I'm such an idiot. She pulled the textbook back over to her and flipped the page. Statistics. Gross. Why did math have to be so hard? She had planned to ask Oliver for help after skating. Her eyes flicked to Sophie. Sophie was good at everything. She could ask Sophie for help. I don't want to ask Sophie for help. She makes me feel self-conscious enough the way it is. She sighed.
I'm going to take a break. My head hurts, she told her. Pierce picked up her phone and walked out of her bedroom. Sophie would have to go home today. Maybe if she apologized to Oliver enough times, he would still want to go skating with her tonight. Skating in the dark sounded both exciting and terrifying. She wasn't a fan of the dark, but would definitely be willing to give it a shot. A bubble of warmth and excitement formed in her chest and spread throughout her body.
Pierce went to the kitchen to make a snack. She pulled out sandwich stuff from the refrigerator for Sophie and herself. It didn't take her long to make them, so when she was done, she put everything on plates and set them on a tray. It would be easier to carry it all to her room that way. Standing by the counter, her hands trembled while she held her phone. To send or not to send... She was having a difficult time deciding. The biggest factor was how mad he was at her. What if he wasn't mad at all? What if he was relieved to no longer have to go ice skating with her?
... Do you really ... Want me here, with you?

God! Why did that have to keep replaying over and over again in her head? It was pretty much the last thing he said to her, aside from Happy New Year and goodbye. Why had that moment been so intense? What did Sophie interrupt by coming back to her house drunk? I'm over-thinking it. I over-think everything. It probably was just my imagination. So then why did every time the memory resurface she feel so hot and flustered?

She was still in the kitchen. The sandwiches and chips sat untouched on the tray. Two empty glasses stood tall beside the plates, with a carton of juice next to them. Instead of texting him, she opened the other apps on her phone. There was a strange status update from Ryder Duvont. The first sentence caught her immediate attention. Cupid's Brew. She hadn't heard those two words in two and a half years. Wow. Was that thing still going around? What if -- that was a low thought. She was more mature now. She was two and a half years older. There was no way she could force someone into liking her. I bought it once before and never got to see if it really worked. It probably doesn't, but why would there be so much weirdness involved in purchasing it? She hadn't sought out the site, the site found her. After what happened, she tried to find it, to no avail. Not to buy another bottle, just out of curiosity. What if this was a sign or something?

Pierce typed Cupid's Brew into the web browser on her phone. Maybe she would have better luck this time? Probably not. She should bring the food up to Sophie. Her eyes narrowed on the screen of the phone. Text Oliver. She chewed nervously on the inside of her cheeks as she opened the little green speech bubble with a smiley face on it. Her phone had such a dorky message icon. She clicked on the conversation between the two of them, staring for far too long at the five words he last said to her. Her stomach turned into knots and she wasn't sure if she could eat the sandwich and chips at this rate. Sucking in a deep breath, she worked up the courage to reply. After, she reopened the Google page on her phone and carried the tray back to her room.

Time passed on and Julius began to feel as if Bryan wouldn't show up, that he either felt too emotionally distressed or just didn't get his message. However the funny thing about fate was when was beginning to give up, something would come to change that. Bryan showed, all tired and breathless and Julius merely closed his eyes relieved to at least see that he had arrived. "Good to see you Bryan..." Julius said calmly.

Silently the man merely walked forward, he walked up to the side of Bryan and merely placed his hand on his shoulder gently before opening his eyes as he stared up at the sky. "Bryan....they say a man is truly at his best when something precious to them is at stake...they would do whatever it takes...they would devote their life like no other in order to receive the desired result..." Julius said before reaching into his own pocket.

Letting go of Bryan's shoulder, he immediately grabbed Bryan's arm and immediately brought it up. Removing Noelle's necklace from his pocket, Julius merely placed the piece of jewellery into the hand of Bryan and let go of his arm. "I need your help in this investigation...." Julius said before taking a step forward to leave Bryan with the necklace for a moment before he proceeded any more with the investigation.

[---Day 13 (2/3)---January 2nd---Location: Home---Mood: Rushing---Ooc: N/A]

The morning came and went it like it usually would. Dennis got up, got dressed, and ate breakfast. Afterwards he simply sat down on his couch while turning on the television. After surfing the channels he didn't really find anything that caught his attention and just walked away from it. He booted up his computer to just waste his day away playing games and maybe watching some anime. That'd be a nice way to spend it at least. While the screen was showing the computer turning on his eye just wandered around the rest of his apartment. He looked down on the desk his monitor was on and just simply had his eyes wander around there. Noticing wrappers, his mouse, a bike lock key, a lollipop stick, a- wait a bike lock key?

He stared at it for awhile until he realized why he was so fixated on it. "Oh crap." He face palmed at himself for forgetting that he had forgotten to get his bike today. He even remembered doing this last night. He grabbed his key and threw on a jacket and slipped into his shoes. With the current thought of his bike in mind he started running out of the apartment building. It wasn't as bad as it had been in terms of temperature, but it was still winter nonetheless. He regretted this plan of his, (which was to simply run outside all the way to school,) the moment he started it. But with stubborn pride and no other thing he could really think of at the moment he continued running through town.

Evan Allen Walker:
{~~~Day 13 (2/3)~~~January 2nd, 2016, Saturday~~~Location:Home***The Streets~~~Mood:Groovin~~~Music~~~Ooc: N/A~~~}

Evan woke up as he would any day. With much emphatic motions and breaking his alarm gong. After throwing away the remote to his broken television, (which he unconsciously used to hit the gong alarm,) he walked around his house. What to do on this glorious day. After looking at his calendar which, which had giraffe stickers on every day, he noticed that it said today was January 2nd...which meant that he was already two days into the new year and had done nothing of the sort to further his new year's resolution.

After thinking on it, he threw a dart at the giraffe sticker on the wall and figured he'd go fix that problem. He walked out the door and was about to get going when he noticed a few things. One, it was abnormally cold outside. Two, he hadn't put on his rollerblades and didn't exactly feel like going on a drive to the nearest skating rink. It took him a bit longer to realize the third problem than it did the other two, but when he did it confirmed something about the first thing he noticed. He looked down and realized he was only wearing his boxer shorts. Well that was no good. He chuckled to himself and rubbed his head at this realization before going inside and actually putting on clothes to go out with. After putting his rollerblades, he took his window exit and went to the skating rink.

Once there, after a good deal of stumbling around not really knowing what to do, he finally got his ice skates. He was totally going to skate like a graceful...ice skater. Not really being able to formulate a proper metaphor he got to thinking but quickly perished the thought and went right into the rink.

Once there, though it was his first time ice skating, he gracefully glided across the ice. It was truly an exhilarating feeling, being able to feel the frigid air through his hair, the feel of the ice beneath his blades. Once the simple skating was done he moved onto more advanced tricks, like jumping and spinning and anything else he could think that a professional ice skater could, gracefully and expertly... or at least that's how it went in his head.

Once he actually got on the ice there couldn't be a worse skater there. The instant his blades touched the ice he started slipping around and fell flat on his face. Picking himself up he continued to try and try to actually stand or move. Unfortunately, try as he might, he couldn't really regain his balance. He even managed to flounder his way halfway across the rink, granted while drawing some attention to himself, but in the end all he could do was continue to flounder. But that wouldn't stop him for now, not so long as there was still time left in the day.

Breakfast, studying and clothes washing. Above everything -- boredom. There were plenty of things to do in Candlewood, but lack of creativity, funds and friends made this day blend in with every other. Slow, non-pivotal with monochrome skies. Yeah. It was still cold outside. He didn't like hot weather but he was longing for Spring now more than ever. A change.

Despite such things, school would be starting after today. It would prove as a major distraction and serve as a catalyst back into his normal life. He would work with his uncle until he found something that paid more, participate in extracurriculars and try to slowly rekindle things with Mary. Maybe.

Mary, Mary, Mary ...

She clearly sensed his drifting. Oliver was savvy enough to know how girls acted when they were suspicious. She never messaged him before this whole thing. It was always him initiating conversation. She had messaged him five times between yesterday night and this morning. Mary was also beginning to talk less and less about herself and ask him more questions, like she cared about his life suddenly. It felt kind of nice for there to be a shift ... She hadn't always been so selfish, though. Something changed ...

They were still together though, and until he decided to end it, he owed her some attention, so he chatted with her on and off during his chores.

He was in the middle of ironing his clothes for tomorrow when his phone vibrated with a new text message.

From: Pierce
I'm sorry. I'm sorry x infinity. Do you hate me? I still want to go ice skating if you don't. Maybe later tonight after it gets dark? I hope you're not mad...

He nearly collapsed onto his ironing board. What was wrong with her?! Instead he placed the phone down and sighed out, ironing a bit more aggressively [ if that was possible ]. His eyebrows furrowed and he could feel a headache coming on. He had decided not deal with it anymore, but how harmful would it be to go skating? Was that breaking his resolve? And her flip-flopping wasn't making things any easier.

He pressed his lips together and folded his jeans, making room for his shirt and mashing his toes into the carpet. Annoying. The worst part about it was that ... he wanted to see her. He wanted to be upset with her to her face.

Aaagh! This is stupid. He muttered to himself.

It really was dumb and obnoxious.

...

To: Pierce
I don't hate you. What time?
