He was simply sitting there, still not doing much when he noticed Zoey get up. For a second, he was almost positive he was going to be left back to his own world, that is until he felt something drape over him. Warmth. He felt it and realized that it was most likely an extra blanket. He wasn't exactly sure the purpose behind giving people in shock blankets, because it sure as hell didn't make him feel any less lost.

When she asked if he felt any better he simply nodded, even though the answer was clearly no. He felt her hand grab his again. It was an interesting feeling. He didn't really know what to make of it but still accepted it nonetheless. He still sat there, blank expression an all, listening to Zoey give the status report of everyone. It was good to hear that no one else was poisoned. The less deaths the better after all. He heard her say something about how they would all be okay but he wasn't entirely sure about that. Out of nowhere four people died and he was honestly hoping that they at least knew what did it. For now it just seemed like some random freak occurrence that caused people to die.

He was busy thinking of this when he felt another squeeze on his hand and a pat on his shoulder. They were still an interesting feeling. Like one of reassurance. It was nice, but the feeling didn't last too long. He was pretty sure that it would be a long while before he could truly just walk past this and feel reassured by anything. "Ready to get out of here soon? It's not very fun to be here..."

He really didn't know what to do in this scenario. Leave the hospital and do what? Go home? Like that would be any better. He honestly didn't want to step outside of this place at all yet. Sure it was probably going to be pretty damn boring here, but it was probably way safer than anything that could happen outside on his way home. A myriad of scenarios started flying through his mind in which he would die before he even got halfway home."No thanks. I think I'll stay here for now." He was able to tell her in his still blank tone and blank expression.

Pierce was lounging around at home today. She had left Sophie's yesterday and felt remotely better as soon as she got into her mom's car. However, that wasn't before wiping out on a patch of ice and clearly being laughed at by Ryder Duvont. How embarrassing! Her mom was at work and she was now lying in her bed listening to music. Oliver had finally texted her back and it was from him that she learned what happened. It was horrible, but there was a sick sense of gratitude in her that she left when she did. Pierce had seen enough people suddenly drop dead two years ago and she definitely did not want to see it again. The news was muted on her television and their were images of the Bennett household on the screen. From what she understood, they were running reports on the deaths but couldn't give many names since it was an ongoing investigation and most involved were minors. She appreciated that law. It brought her a sense of security.

Oliver had asked her if she was okay. She stared at the message on her phone for awhile, not sure of how to respond. She was glad to have not been there, but her mind kept flashing to that McDonald's. Memories continuously resurfaced and she just wanted them to go away. If only she hadn't finished off the last of her mom's liquor. She also hadn't been friends with any of the people that died, but it didn't make it any less traumatic. They had all worked closely together during rehearsals and Richie and Alex had been with them for the camp fiasco. She rolled over in her bed, lying on her stomach, and skipped to the next song on her phone--All Signs Point to Lauderdale. Pierce reopened the blank text message and began typing.
It was easier to talk to people via text message. There was no stuttering and she could think out her replies first. No one could visibly see her reactions so there was little embarrassment. She bit her lower lip as the next A Day to Remember song began to play. They made her feel better about life. They were also the extent of the screamo that she would listen to, which was little to none.

Maria sat on the living room couch petting EAP. He was shedding allover her black dress, but she didn't mind. Stephan sat beside her watching television. He had Sundays off and for once decided to stay home. His right arm was around her shoulders and she was curled in beside him. If you didn't know better, it would look like something a couple would do, but this was purely him being a good big brother. He was home when she got back yesterday and she had told him what happened. He had spent most of the evening asking how she was feeling and if she was going to be able to get through this. She hadn't physically seen the kids die, but was present when they carried the bodies out. She cried in his arms for a long while and he cooked her dinner to help ease the pain. Those stupid kids. What did they get themselves into?

Stephan seemed to be over his hissy-fit about EAP, at least for now. The kitten snuggled himself in between the two of them and was purring lightly. She had her phone out, trying to think of something to do. She couldn't just sit in the house any longer, she was going stir crazy and the less she did, the more she thought about what happened. Maria had woken up screaming last night and clutching her side. Stephan had come barreling into her bedroom and spent the rest of the night in there while she slept. It was comforting having him by her side, even if he rarely showed her this side of him anymore. What was wrong with him?
You could always stay home, he commented. His blue eyes were focused down on her phone as she scrolled through her contacts list. We could play a game and I'll make you something to eat. It was tempting.
I can't, she replied. If I sit here any longer I'll go crazy. Every time I close my eyes I see body bags and then I remember those other kids from two years ago. I had missed the ones that suddenly died in McDonald's, but I saw that other kid, James, collapse to the ground by the truck out in the parking lot and I keep picturing him hitting the asphalt and coughing to death. It was horrifying. She knew Julius didn't throw him very hard, but he had died regardless immediately after. Maria mashed her pink lips together. She had gotten dressed as if she were to go out, but she always did that. You never know. I just don't know who to text.
He plucked her phone out of her hands and began scrolling for her. You don't really hang out with many people for having so many followers. he laughed, but she glared.
    What's your point? she snapped.
I'm just saying, Stephan shrugged. What about Noëlle? he asked as he came to her name.
I'm not sure," Maria looked uneasy, Recently, hanging out with Noëlle is like talking to a brick wall. I don't know what's going on with her and she won't really let anyone get through to her. She watched him start scrolling again.
You've been hanging out with this Tucker guy recently right? What about him? He's the one that convinced you to buy the cat, right? His brows furrowed, but he didn't sound too annoyed over it.
Maria slid out from his arm. Yeah, but I'm not sure about Tucker either. I think I need to give him some space for awhile. I'll probably wait to talk to him again until he calls me. She watched him shake his head and toss her phone back at her.
Well then, you're at a loss. That's all your friends right? A whopping two. Stephan laughed and she glared further.
I have more than two friends! She jumped to her feet and slipped on her boots and coat. Her black purse was sitting on the counter and she scooped it up with one hand, letting it fall in the crook of her arm.
Leaving so soon? Did you decide who you're going to message?
It's none of your business. I don't even know why I came to you in first place. She huffed out of the apartment in annoyance, hearing the sweet sound of her brother's low chuckle. At least some things never changed.
Maria walked down the hall. The building was fairly quiet. She couldn't even hear the usual blare of apartment 3-11's television. She sighed and scrolled back to the top of the Contacts List, selecting Bryan's name. They hadn't done anything together in quite some time. Hopefully he wasn't busy. If not him, then who else...?

Another frown crossed Zoey's face. Dennis was sure out of it. So shocked, so scared. He didn't even want to leave the hospital. She wondered to herself what caused the fear in his head. It had to start from somewhere, maybe long ago. Maybe not so far away at all.

She waved a hand in front of Dennis' eyes, seeing that he was completely sucked in his own panic. He couldn't be left alone for very long. She wondered where his family was, if he had any. Wouldn't they be here with him? "Um... Dennis? Do you have a favorite song? I mean, I suck at singing, but I can sing for you if it'll make you feel better, hm?" She put her free hand over his hand, holding it still. She wanted to comfort her friend in some way or another. It seemed like Julius knew exactly what to do. Zoey... she was kind of at a loss what to do. Plus, what if she gave off the wrong idea.

What the cupcakes. She shouldn't really care about that.

She got up from the chair, finding a spot next to Dennis in the hospital bed. She made sure she didn't get tangled in any wires or IVs . She sat on it, letting her shoulder touch his before she wrapped an arm around him and still held his hand. Everyone who looked in would probably think she was his girlfriend or something, but she was just trying to help out a friend in need. She looked at him with her eye, watching him carefully. "So... how about a song? Or something else even. Want me to draw for you?"

He was kind of hoping at this point Zoey would leave, as he kind of just felt like being left alone. Sure being alone would probably result in some sort of massive panic attack that spanned across the entire day and night for who knows how long and nothing would probably change, but he still felt like not really showing himself to anyone. But then something unexpected happened.

Zoey just sort of hugged him? It was weird to say the least, well more of just looked that way. He didn't really feel any romantic sort of intention behind it, which was excellent because that would've probably sent him into some sort of colma at that point. This felt more like a, friendly gesture of some sorts. It was comfortable and reassuring, which was probably what he needed at this point.

"So... how about a song? Or something else even. Want me to draw for you?"

Well it was an offer to try and help him out of his stupor and help him get back on his feet, but he wasn't exactly sure as he still didn't want to leave too badly. He tried to think of a song of his that he really enjoyed, which was difficult because a) he didn't have a particular favorite song and 2) a lot of songs that he enjoyed listening to weren't even in english, so he wasn't entirely sure how well that would go over. However when it came to drawings he tried to think of something he would like to see drawn. He was a terrible artist after all, and as such he kind of admired any art that wasn't completely horrible. When thinking of what to have drawn his mind flashed back to that horrid scene in the house. He certainly didn't want that drawn on paper. Quickly trying to shift the thought over to something completely different he literally blurted out the first thing he saw based on what his surroundings provided him. "A parrot."

'What the hell did I just say? A parrot? Jesus man might as well just yell saying your eyepatch is very much in my face and all I can really see! Well at least you didn't say a pirate or some shit like that.' Dennis's mind was patronizing him for saying pirate ship but it was actually something different. His mind for the entire day was transfixed on the deaths, so much so that this was the first time that his mind yelled at him for something different. His eyes weren't entirely blank and filled with terror anymore.

Everything felt so new to him as his heart beat continued to beat faster. To live like this felt great and though he knew that only disaster awaited for him if he got caught, he knew he could not turn back now. Closing his eyes he let out a sigh and tried his best to calm down. There was no mistake in his decision and though he was told there was nothing to fear, he decided he must witness it with his own eyes. "Alright...mission begin" he said as he stared up at the hospital before him

Immediately as he clenched his fist, he rushed into the hospital and entered the building as fast as he could. "Mission aknowledged, find Julius and confirm his safety...sub mission is to kick his ass if he has done anything stupid" he said to himself as he rushed forward. Jonathan Menon began his search for his brother, but when he entered the hospital he was quite amazed by the scenery of the area. The place was crowded with people and though common to normal people, he felt a ting of nervousness creep up his spine "Oh god..." Jonathan muttered. The first task he decided was to ask where Julius was staying and once he learned of his brothers location he moved out...but unfortunately he had quite the tendency to get lost.

Soon enough Jonathan had no idea where the hell he was and immediately he only let out a groan as he began to search the rooms for his brother "Juuuuuuuuuuuliiiiiiiiiiiiuuuuuuuuuussssssssss" Jonathan called out as he ran though the halls trying to locate the damn injured idiot he called a brother.

Location: On Campus/Her Room {} Mood: Exhausted/In Pain {} OOC: Gawd hopefully this is a good re-enter post :/
Exhaustion and pain were the only things going through her mind as she made her way back into the camp, dragging a large luggage bag behind her while clutching her side. The last week of her absence was full of anger, hurt, and regret. Honestly, she didn't have to go grab her computer. She did it more out of frustration rather than actually wanting to get it back. Not sure if it was a good or a bad thing, but so far, it's not faring too well.
Eventually making her way to her room, she shoved her bag against the corner and slid down the wall. I'll set that up later...right now...oh man...it hurts. She lifted her shirt, wincing as she tenderly examined the stab wound. "Can't believe those bastards pulled a knife on me...those pricks." The makeshift bandage she made out of some torn clothes she found didn't help too much, but it worked enough to not leave a bloody trail all the way here. Her clothes were ruined though. Great...how am I gonna explain this to anyone?
She got up with some difficulty and headed over to the kitchen area, finding some bandages and replacing the cloth with a stronger bandage. This should do the trick. Still hurts like hell though. Hopefully I won't be doing a lot of moving around and stuff. She sighed and made her way to her bag which she took with her to her room and started to plug everything back in. She made sure the group would never mess with her again unless they were expected to face a world of pain and suffering. For now, she let them off, even after being stabbed.

Finally she felt like she was getting somewhere with Dennis.

She grinned at him, giggling when he blurted out for her to draw a parrot. "Let me guess, the eyepatch inspired you?" She patted his shoulder once before she leaned away from him to grab her backpack by the bedside. "That's okay!" She pulled it on her lap before zipping it open, shifting through the contents of it. "Parrots are really fun to draw. I got to warn you though, my drawings can get... kind of silly." She finally found her small sketchbook with a pencil attached to it and pushed the backpack out of the way before she linked an arm through Dennis' so he still had the sense that someone was still there with him and then she opened up to a blank page.

"Hm..." Zoey then began to sketch, making her lines very light. She then thought of a random song, something that her and her dad loved to sing to each other sometime. Before she knew it, she was saying the words softly

"The devil went down to Georgia, he was looking for a soul to steal.
He was in a bind 'cos he was way behind and he was willin' to make a deal.
When he came across this young man sawin' on a fiddle and playin' it hot."

She paused a moment to erase a little mistake. There was a shape like a little parrot head starting to form, and then gradually a body. She resumed her song.

"And the devil jumped upon a hickory stump and said: "Boy let me tell you what:
"I guess you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too.
"And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.
"Now you play a pretty good fiddle, boy, but give the devil his due:
"I bet a fiddle of gold against your soul, 'cos I think I'm better than you."
The boy said: "My name's Johnny and it might be a sin,
"But I'll take your bet, your gonna regret, 'cos I'm the best that's ever been."

Another pause and she looked back at her sketch, then to Dennis. He didn't seem to mind, so she decided to sing the last bit of the first song to get it to a stopping point at least as she continued to quickly sketch out what Dennis ordered.

"Johnny you rosin up your bow and play your fiddle hard.
'Cos Hell's broke loose in Georgia and the devil deals the cards.
And if you win you get this shiny fiddle made of gold.
But if you lose, the devil gets your soul."

And then she sighed out, finishing up her little sketch. "There we are." She held it out for Dennis to see, smiling at him. "What do you think of him? Looks kind of dumb, huh?"

"Let me guess, the eyepatch inspired you?"

He mentally face palmed at his own bluntness about the eyepatch thing. Even if she said it was okay he had been trying not to notice or bring it up in anyway prior because, well when someone has something as obvious as an eyepatch it tends to be brought up a lot in conversation. He pulled out her sketch pad and started drawing, while still having one of her arms linked with his. It was fine having someone else there with him, it helped alleviate his panic for a bit.

"Parrots are really fun to draw. I got to warn you though, my drawings can get... kind of silly."

Well something really silly to see would be him drawing a parrot. It would probably look like an incomprehensible mess of squiggles, so he was fine with basically anything. Then she just started randomly singing a song. He didn't really bother paying attention to the lyrics at all and didn't really care what the song was at all. It sounded fine enough to him that he didn't really care. Although he did space out for a bit there while she was drawing. His thoughts weren't as morbid or panicky as they were before but just random thoughts. Things about stuff that didn't really matter but felt that he should've paid attention to as well. He even stumbled upon something he found strange but was snapped back to reality at Zoey's finished drawing. He looked at the picture and was met with something he was not expecting.

It had a hat...and a mustache! The thing was pretty funny to look at. He let out a small chuckle at the sight and said in a more light hearted tone "nah it's fine. Great even."

Zoey laughed when Dennis chuckled, seeing that he was slowly coming out of his shock. "I was trying to make him look like a pirate, but it looks like he took a trip to Mexico. Maybe I should have given him a bowl of nachos or something to munch on." She then drew the initials Z.A.K. at the bottom of her drawing in fancy cursive before she ripped her drawing out of the book and handed it to the boy next to her. "Here, you can keep him or throw it away if you want to."

She set the pencil back on her sketch book and wrapped an arm around him again, smiling at him. She wasn't going to ask him how he was feeling now, because she could somewhat tell. Plus, that might trigger him to go back into shock. "Do you want me to draw anything else for you?" she asked, ready to jump into action. She loved drawing for friends, she always had. It was like a second hobby to her in a way and she enjoyed every minute of it. People seemed to enjoy it as well. And she loved to put a smile on their face.

Sarah sat in her room, hopelessly bored and annoyed. Natalie hasn't called her all day. Then again, a lot had happened at Sophie's house. She sighed. Maybe it'd be a good idea to go see everyone at the hospital later.

Yeah. It would. But not in these clothes. Bleh, was it seriously the same dress as before? Good god, she needed to outgrow this habit. First things first, she needed a good long shower.

Sarah looked at her phone and sent Natalie a quick test, proposing they go see everyone. Natalie would likely approve, unless she was still incredibly freaked. With any luck, her siblings would have talked to her and comforted her by now. Either way, it was time to shower. Sarah got her towel and walked into the bathroom, locking the door behind her.

Quentin sat in his room, in front of his computer, staring hard at the screen, going over the previous day's events. He hadn't joined the others for breakfast, but when he did leave the guest room, police had been everywhere, and before he knew it, they had questioned him about the house, the others, and what he was doing, and then whisked him off to the hospital for a check-up for which he had been cleared of a poison he didn't even know about. In short, the day had been confusing, yet eventful.

Eventually, he had figured out that Sophie and Lucas were at the center of it, and it was all over the news, being framed as a few things; an accident, potential suicide, and potential murder. Most of the news channels were covering it, interviews with the guests of the Bennett Home, and covering background on the Bennett Family, even though it was all surface details. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett weren't home so often, apparently.

Quentin's first instinct had been to text Noëlle, checking to see if she was alright, but that was yesterday, after they had released him from the hospital. He wanted to see her, see how she was doing . . . They had talked about getting together, but nothing had really been set.

He opened his e-mail and began to scroll through his inbox, which was filled with a few notices from school and projects, and other things. Eventually, he found the last e-mail that Noëlle sent him.

TO: Noëlle Chambers FROM: Quentin Freeborn Hey again! I've been thinking... We never set up a date for our little outing; with all the recent things, I figured a respawning of what happened all that time ago isn't something we need. How about we meet Tuesday, if you're not busy? We could go out to lunch, somewhere. Pick a place? We can meet up on campus, and go from there.

He read over the message, making sure it didn't sound too pushy or anything. Hopefully, she would respond soon, since today was Sunday. In the meantime, Quentin decided to go get something to eat, coming back to his dormitory with chicken nuggets and a Frosty from Wendy's. Yum. Hopefully, the food would keep his mind away from all of that stuff.

    MOOD NEUTRAL / THOUGHTFUL❤!! 0%WEARING
    OOC

    . . .

Compared to the chaos of the last two days ( only one of which was enjoyed ), things were relatively quiet throughout the home. All intruders and . . . dead bodies had been removed, the blood from Seraphina's corpse had been cleaned away, and things were normal. Kind of.

Lucas wasn't home, so Sophie was by herself, all alone, inside one of the largest houses in the city. It was a little unnerving walking everywhere, but she had set a playlist of classical music to ring about the house so that white noise didn't pass her ears.

It was evident that Lucas was the prime suspect of the situation at hand, but Sophie still couldn't believe the cause. Cupid's Brew, of all things! She remembered when she had first purchased a bottle, two years ago. The silly, but cute design of the vial and the pink liquid; it looked like a genuine, generic love potion. All of a sudden, it was a poison, and Sophie wanted to know where it came from and who made it. Such a curious little thing . . .

Sophie ran her slightly tanned hands through her long hair, taking a deep breath and pushing past the feeling of wanting to vomit. The sight of blood had been a major trigger. Originally, she had thought that the events of that summer hadn't affected her so badly. Sophie wasn't affected by anything. The invincible Sophie. Except not really.

She wondered what the others thought, now. That she had planned it all? Sure, have a wide-scale party at Sophie Bennett's home, get everyone wildly and stumbling drunk, play the hospitable host, serve them all a great breakfast the morning, and then poison a few of them. It did sound like a decent plan, but she wouldn't have killed them. That was far beyond her reaches of . . . anything. Quentin and Pierce must think terribly of her now, and that was a little unfair. Even Oliver . . . And then when Sophie thought of Freddie — she hadn't even really said goodbye to him, just let the events take course, and he had been gone.

    Sophie groaned.

Some time later, Sophie sat in a different chair of the living room, with a large-wafflecone chocolate soft serve from Braum's.

    TO: Pierce
    Did you hear what happened?

She stayed in her pajamas all day. Her mother had to work late so it was just her. The bedroom was dark and the shadows cast an eerie glow with the candles that burned in on the dresser and night stand. Yup, the bed, Bowling for Soup, and herself. The headphones hung lazily around her face. Pierce had dozed off a few times, having spent pretty much the entire day in bed. It was less scary this way. With music blaring in her ears all day, she didn't think too much about what happened two years ago. If she had been in that dining room, it would have no doubt been a repeat of before--cowering under the table and having a panic attack. It had been too much before. For a fifteen-year-old, watching three people die was a traumatic experience.

Pierce was half awake when the music momentarily paused for her phone to beep saying there was a new message. She sleepily lifted it up to her face, the light of the screen blinding her eyes. It was from Sophie. The music continued and All-American Rejects came on. Her phone was playing some pretty classic stuff today. It was refreshing. She clicked open the message from Sophie and her brown eyes scanned the words on the screen quickly.

She stared at the message blankly for a minute. Sophie was only apologizing because Lucas told her to and she didn't even know the reason as to why she might be upset. Typical Sophie. Pierce sighed and pressed the reply while propping a pillow under her head. She clicked her tongue on the roof of her mouth, thinking about what to say. Oh Sophie...

There. She didn't necessarily want anyone over right now, but it was probably really creeping being at home for her. Was Sophie freaking out about it? She would be, but Pierce freaked out about everything and Sophie was a lot stronger than her. My Paper Heart came on and she raised the headphones back to their proper place on her head. Pierce couldn't really stay mad at Sophie anyway. From what it seemed, the other girl had been completely right, not that it was surprising. Sophie was more experienced with romantic entanglements than she. Of course she knew better, it had just hurt being told so bluntly that no one would like her because of who she was. It was something people with low self-esteem were only supposed to say to themselves, but not now apparently.

Pierce rolled her head to the side and looked at the portrait of a man clad in a military uniform smiling at her. She reached out for it and hugged the picture close to her body. I wish you were here dad. There was a lump forming in her throat and she swallowed it down as her eyes began to sting. It wasn't fair. None of this was fair.

    . . .

The ice cream had been delicious, and made Sophie feel loads better, accompanied by the music. Eventually, she had changed the playlist to something more peppy and dance-like so she could dance about her house without worrying about being indignant.

A loud ring told her that someone had messaged her, and she was really hoping that it was Pierce, or even Freddie, checking up on her.

    FROM: Pierce
    I did. Oliver told me.
I also saw the news about it.
    I'm fine; wasn't upset.
    Don't worry about it.
    How you holding up?
Is it scary being at home?
You can come over, if you want.

Oliver told her, did he? Sophie cynically wondered what he had to say about it. Talk about a bad impression . . . It was going to be more difficult and complicated to win him over, now. Pierce mentioned that she wasn't upset, but Sophie had other ideas about it. Lucas had told her about her bad behavior, and she remembered what she told the other girl in the restroom.

It really was cute how sensitive she was.

When the invitation had been sent, Sophie made no hesitations in accepting ( without messaging back ) and leaving her home after writing and leaving behind a note for Lucas to read. Since it was late, and still snowing outside, she packed an overnight bag and hit the road, arriving at Pierce's strange but enjoyable home some time later.

She knocked on the door and was then let in just moments later.

Good evening, Miss Mhenjer, she said with a warm smile, liking the warmth of the house. I hope you don't mind, I brought over some ice cream. Despite already having some herself, she bought a bit more to share with Pierce.

When the doorbell rang, Pierce jumped out of bed--falling to the floor. She scrambled to her feet and grabbed her phone off the bed, pulling the headphones out of the auxiliary jack. It was true that she invited Sophie over, but she had not anticipated her arrival in such a manner. Sophie never responded to the text and had gotten there rather quickly. At first, Pierce wondered if it was someone else randomly showing up at her house at really 9 o' clock. When she got to the front door, she checked the peephole to find that it was in fact her friend.

Pierce opened the door quickly, welcomed by Sophie's smiling face. She was holding a tub of ice cream in one hand, and what appeared to be an overnight bag in another. Always prepared that one. Good evening, Miss Mhenjer, Sophie said with a warm smile, I hope you don't mind, I brought over some ice cream.
She nodded and stepped out of the way to let Sophie into the house. The chill from the night air seeped into the kitchen and she shut the door quickly, thankful for wearing a long-sleeved shirt. Hey Sophie, she replied and grabbed the ice cream from her. Pierce walked over to the cupboard and pulled out a couple bowls, along with two large spoons. She dished the ice cream up and handed one to Sophie before putting the bucket into the freezer. Thanks for the ice cream. Honestly, I hadn't expected you to come over. She forced a smile on her face and brushed her bangs out of her eyes. I'm guessing it's really that bad at your house right now? Pierce wouldn't want to be their either. If someone ( or someones ) died in her house, she would be packed up and ready to move in a matter of minutes. My mom won't be back til later, but if you're hungry I can make you something, or we could watch movies or something... She wasn't really sure what would be appropriate to do.
Comforting People was not a specialty of hers. She was used to being the one comforted. When those kids from school and camp died, her mom took three days off of work and the entire time Pierce just sat in her arms and cried. It was more than just their deaths though, it was the stress of the whole ordeal. It took her body weeks to finally feel as if she could relax. The turmoil that raged inside her had kicked into overdrive and her mental state was rather lacking.

    Frederick "Freddie" Anderson
    DAY: 7 - 4/4 | DATE: December 27th, 2015 | LOCATION: Hospital ==> Home

After the horrific ordeal that had just happened had passed, the hospital found that there was no immediate danger to Freddie's health. One of the nurses had told Freddie that his car was brought to the hospital and handed him his keys. That was convenient. Now he didn't have to worry about going to Sophie's place to get his car back. Right... Sophie. He was wondering how she was doing. After all, this whole thing did happen right in her dining room, in front of people she knew from the University. It would be bad if he didn't her anything about it. At the very least, make sure that she was doing better now. The last he had seen of her was when the police took her for questioning in her house. In that terrible state that she was in. Man...

The nurse directed Freddie to the parking lot where he found his car waiting for him.
Well, time to head on home. He got in his car and jammed the key into the ignition. It roared to life as he re-adjusted the seat to a position better suited for him. Whoever drove the car to the hospital must've been pretty damn tall. The seat was nearly all the way back. He pulled out of the parking lot and headed home.

He took the toothbrush and toothpaste he had brought with him back into his house. Freddie haphazardly tossed them to the sink as he got ready to take a shower. He felt like he needed one, not even to get clean. Just to have some time to think to himself clearly and acknowledge what had happened that eventful morning. It was strange, even though he was there and clearly witnessed it happen, Freddie had a hard time wrapping his head around it. As the water splashed all over his body, his mind attempted to make sense of it all.
I witnessed four people die. What possible reason could there be for it? And what was the cause of it all? It could be poison, but I don't think it would cause someone to stab themselves like that... Drugs? That was one possible explanation. But how much of one would have to be put into their food or drink to make them have heart attacks?

The thoughts slowed down as he exited the shower and dried himself off. He threw on his bathrobe and plopped himself onto his bed. Freddie just stared at the ceiling for an extended period of time as he continued to get his mind in order. "The party was... pretty crazy, to say the least, Aria." Talking out loud could help him sort things out in his mind. Hopefully, this little chat with his guitar would help him out, even just a little. "Well... I got there late because there was a pretty bad traffic accident. Sophie was not happy about that. She was also pretty wasted by the time I got there... Yeah. I had some catching up to do. So I did just that, I drank, and drank, and drank as I chatted with Sophie throughout the night. Man, she was so drunk that she asked my if I liked anybody. I didn't really tell her anything about that though. All I said was that if she still remembered in the morning, I'd answer then. Didn't have a good answer for that question, though. Anyway, I fell asleep after that little exchange. The next morning though..." Freddie paused as he recounted the events of the party. "... That's when things got super crazy. It started off like any other morning-after. Mild headache, a bit of disorientation, but I still had enough presence of mind to remember what happened last night. Thankfully Sophie didn't bother to follow up on her question. So Lucas made us breakfast and everything. And then... and then... people started... dying." It was hard just saying that, already. Freddie hadn't really experienced something like this before. "Yeah... four people... younger than me... all dead from heart attacks. One of them stabbed herself, though. It was..." He let out a huge sigh. "It was awful. The police and the paramedics came and... the last I saw of Sophie was her getting taken to her kitchen for questioning..."

That's right, he should probably check up on Sophie right now. He wasn't sure if she was doing ok. Freddie sat up from his bed and grabbed his phone from the computer desk next to his bed. He typed up a quick message and sent it to Sophie:

After it sent, he tossed his phone onto his bed as he sat back down on it. Why did they have to die? And right in front of his eyes, too. If had heard about it, things may have been different, but it happened right in front of him. Another sigh came out. "Give me a fucking break, man."

    . . .

Pierce greeted Sophie and let her into the house, and the two then walked kitchen for bowls after she set herself down, and then settled themselves at the counter.

I'm guessing it's really that bad at your house right now?

Sophie thought about the question. She had been alone there, and while it hadn't been the most pleasant, she supposed it hadn't been so bad. Still, without any company, and what with everything that happened, it wasn't an ideal place to be.

Mmhm . . . Also not so wonderful when your name is plastered on the news, and everyone thinks you're some sort of psychopath . . . She sighed, but put a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth thoughtfully. ❝No, I'm not very hungry, but thank you. I think a movie sounds rather nice,❞ she replied, as they then moved into the living room.

After a bit of discussion, they picked out a lighthearted animated movie. Sophie's favorite genre was psychological thriller, but she had a feeling that Pierce wasn't the type, and wouldn't have many of those kinds.

They settled on the couch as the movie started and Sophie practically settled into Pierce's side, body contact and all, enjoying the feel of skin on skin. It was comforting, after spending most of the day alone.

While the opening credits were starting, So, how are things on the Oliver-front? Sophie asked her. It was a bit of a peculiar situation with the both of them, and Sophie. She was interested in both of them, and could have both of them if she wanted, but it would take a bit of maneuvering to keep them from each other, unless it were polyamorous. Come to think of it, a threesome did sound rather pleasant.

Her phone vibrated in her pocket, and she decided to wait until after Pierce replied.

❝So, how are things on the Oliver-front?❞ Sophie asked her.

Pierce put a spoonful of ice cream in her mouth to delay a response. The frozen dairy product melted in her mouth and burned on the way down. She dropped the spoon back into the bowl. It clinked against the side. Her brown-eyed gaze drifted down to Sophie, still nuzzled against her side. She sighed as the opening of the cartoon began to play. Sophie said it was one of her favorites. "I don't know. No where," she finally replied. "You were prolly right. I just--i just over reacted." She bit her lip and remained silent for a minute, watching the screen.

The living room was dark, save for the glow of the television screen. "I was just a little excited i guess, over the possibility that someone might like me. Especially someone as attractive as Oliver." She puffed her cheeks like a blow fish and exhaled. "The last time..." she didn't like to think about it. Sophie had been by her side virtually the whole time. "Well it didn't go well."

Pierce violently shoved another spoonful of ice cream in her mouth and sucked it down. "I'm just no good with people."

    . . .

    I don't know. Nowhere.

Sophie nearly frowned at the answer in the ploy of being empathetic, but a part of her was pleased at the result. It likely wouldn't be a good idea to mention that out loud, though.

You were pro'lly right. I just — I just overreacted.

Nonsense, Sophie replied immediately, There's a difference between overreacting and letting yourself get too excited. She wondered if, when they spoke in the restroom, this was the impression she had? Not very good, but Sophie was a blunt and honest person when it came to her opinions; she didn't understand the value of lying to someone and telling them what they want to hear.

I was just a little excited, I guess, over the possibility that someone might like me. Especially someone as attractive as Oliver.

That made sense, especially since Pierce had self-esteem issues. She was a very pretty girl, it was just her personality that needed a little work. Still, the thought of her and Oliver didn't sit well with Sophie, for a few reasons. Of course, if they wanted to spend time together, that was something she couldn't permanently set a stop to; she would have to manipulate them away from each other.

I'm just no good with people.

Sophie laid her head on Pierce's shoulder. That's fine. You're good with me. she replied, Your people skills just need a bit of work, that's all. Still, it's not really something you can dive into, so you have to start small. Maybe we could go on a date. She paused briefly, before adding the next part, We could ask Oliver to come with us as well, if you like. Pierce would like that, Sophie knew, and it would be a good chance to see how they interacted without actually having to involve herself.

Of course, if he doesn't think I'm some sort of serial killer. She sighed.

    Dennis Baker:
    [Day 7 (4/4)---December 27th---Location: Hospital--->Home---Mood: Betterish---Ooc: N/A]

He smiled at the picture, still thinking it was pretty funny to look at. It had brightened his mood enough to not want to completely shut out the world, but he was still wasn't exactly fit as a fiddle. Still it was better than before. Then he heard her say something about drawing him another picture. It was a nice thought and he did like the picture he had so far, he just didn't know what he would want to see drawn. After racking his brains really hard to think of something he finally came to a conclusion completely irrelevant to the situation.

Dennis was tired. Extremely so due to not sleeping at all the previous night and basically being awake all day freaking out. He had just now realized how tired he really was. "Thanks for the offer Zoey but I think I'll pass. Anyway," he started yawning,"I'm going to stay here for the night. Need to get some....get some...sleep." He fell backwards and just fell asleep right there. The day had been a large mixed bag for Dennis but it ended better than the last one. Regardless he was asleep and it wouldn't be till late into the night where he experienced bad dreams about the day after Christmas deaths.
