THERE'S a STIRRING INSIDE of ME.

Sophie laughed... Pierce recoiled at the outburst and slid a few inches closer to the edge of the booth. Her gaze moved helplessly to Quentin for support, even though she knew it would be pointless. She dropped her line of sight to the faux wooden pattern in the table, letting her loose locks of hair fall in her face as her cheeks burned red. She didn't look up again until Sophie stopped laughing. When she was done, the girl was smiling at her. Of course I do, Pierce. Sophie replied. How wonderful. That made her feel a thousand times better. Sarcastic comments that she could never verbalize began to race through her mind. But don't worry, I enjoy everyone's discomfort. I really am curious about you and him. There is no he and I, she thought. He must hate her after what happened. He seems rather attached to you since yesterday.

❝ I really don't think so... she muttered to herself.

❝ What do you think of him? Sophie asked.

Pierce swallowed nervously. Her clammy hands rubbed her cool bare thighs raw under the table. The topic was embarrassing enough the way it was, but Sophie was asking in front of another person. Sure, Quentin seemed fairly disinterested in the whole thing, just absently eating his food, but it made her want to shrivel up and seep into the floorboards. I-I'm not sure. I uh... I d-did like him, but n-now I don't know. Plus he must hate me now... The hurtful comment she had made at breakfast still echoed in her ears, coupled with the way she had abandoned him in his time of need in the Candy Store made her look like a terrible person. ❝ It's just... it's all so-so--

❝ Please! Don't die!

Her head snapped up and she turned her gaze in the direction of the voice.

❝ Lexi, quick, call an ambulance!

❝ He's gone, Stratana!

❝ Oh... my GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHD!

Pierce watched with wide-eyed horror as one after another dropped to the floor and died. That Stratana girl that was from her cabin but had been absent the first night was one of them. Blood had been coming out of her mouth. Pierce shrieked and she could feel her body turn to gelatin. She slid under the table and pulled her knees to her chest. She sat on the floor between Sophie and Quentin's feet. Nopenopenope. This was too much. She couldn't deal with anymore death--not now, not ever.

❝ STRATANA!

❝ Sebastian! Wake up! Come on!

There was more shouting. Pierce covered her hands over her ears and shut her eyelids tight. She couldn't do this. The nightmare was only getting worse. Daddy! She could feel herself getting ready to cry. Her eyes stung and her chest constricted. Her breathing was shallow and her whole body shook. I just wanna go home! Why is that so much to ask for?

❝ What happened? The strong sturdy voice of Erik came barreling through the restaurant. She faintly heard the sound of the door shutting hard after he marched in. ❝ Girls, you have to get away fro-- Pierce stopped listening. She pressed her hands tighter against her ears. She couldn't do it.

Erik had turned to snuff out the cherry of his cigarette when he saw the horror through the wide windows of Mcdonald's. He dropped the cigarette butt on the ground and crushed it with the toe of his shoe before taking off in a running stride towards the restaurant/gas station. He could see the chaos unfolding and his heart dropped in his ribcage.

He burst through the doors of the restaurant taking quick powerful strides to the two girls by the bodies on the ground. His breath caught in his throat and for a moment he had trouble swallowing. "What happened?" he called out. "Girls, you have to get away from them." They were a mess and broken to pieces. He felt for them, truly. Erik closed the distance between Lexi, Natalie, and himself. He tugged lightly on each of their arms to no avail. "Girls you can't sit in this mess." He tried not to look at the three dead campers on the ground.

His brown eyes snapped on the shocked employees behind the counter. "Is someone calling 9-1-1?" That seemed to bring them back to life. "Girls come on." He grabbed each of them, dragging them away from the others. They were weak and distraught. Even through the exhaustion and the pain in his hand, pulling two smalls girls to the side required little to no effort. He directed them to a booth a little ways away. "Sit here. The both of you need to try and calm down." His heart was racing but he took slow steady breaths. He needed to stay focused and in control. These kids were depending on him and he had already slipped up once.

Lexi sat there crying as much as she could, before Erik dragged her and Natalie away from them. She heard him ask if anyone had called 9-1-1, and soon after, she heard the workers do so.

"Hello!? 9-1-1!? We've had three deaths here tonight! ... no, I don't know how! The girl started coughing up blood and then..." the young man's voice and the conversation faded away before Lexi could make out the rest. She just cried into her hands, completely scared of what would happen next.

Then she decided. If they had already found out about David, then she'd fess up. It was only right. But... She needed to get Natalie out of here. The young girl had her whole life ahead, she didn't need to be dragged into all this. She stood up and looked at the others. Turning to make sure Natalie couldn't hear, then back to the others, she made one request;

"If any of you are leaving, take Natalie. I don't want her dragged into this anymore. Enough's enough."

Lexi then proceeded to sit back down and stay quiet. The employee came back, saying the police was on their way and all that ****. She gulped.

Natalie, meanwhile, was a total emotional wreck. All those deaths, she just couldn't stop crying. Erik had forced her away, but she didn't want to leave Sebastian. The cops were alerted for sure, and if they knew about David's murder, then Lexi and Bryan would be ****ed. Utterly ****ed.

What could she do? She couldn't say she did it, but leaving would be wrong... The young girl teared up again and cried into her hands again. It was just too much.

Erik stood guard as Lexi and Natalie cried in the booth. The manager announced that the police were on their way and for that he was relieved. All this could be over and done with. He was so tired. They had been up all night and undergoing far too much stress. With the police coming, they could get the kids taken to the hospital to be examined. They were all sick from Lightbrooke and could end up like the three of the floor. He averted his gaze from them. Their parents could get them from the hospital. They could all happily go home after some proper attention. The odds of them all needing hours of extensive therapy to help cope with their many traumas, were rather high. Remembering that made his chest ache again. He was such a failure. He couldn't do anything to protect his campers. Now, they had lost even more.

"If any of you are leaving, take Natalie. I don't want her dragged into this anymore. Enough's enough."

Why would they be le--David. His brown eyes slowly shifted to the blue haired girl in the booth that had just spoke between sobs. She had killed him. His eyes widened with realization. They were all accessories now. It would only have been in self defense if Bryan was the one that had killed him, but even then he still would be in trouble because David had been unarmed. "Everyone is dragged into this." His tone was sharp and his eyes narrowed on her, but he said no more on the matter. Lexi was distraught with the loss of someone close to her. He wasn't going to lay into her about how incredibly stupid she had been by killing David, not now anyways. He set a strong firm hand on her shoulder and gave it a tight squeeze.

Before she could have an actual conversation with the electric blue haired girl, more of her friends came over. At least, that's what she thought - they looked like they all knew each other and were just a big group of friends. She frowned a bit, then realized how awkward she must have been just popping in with their group. She took a sip from her water as her eyes stayed glued on the group. Her eyes focused on Lexi, the girl who had approached her, and let her fingers gently touch her arm as she excused herself from the group.

With that, she got up on her feet and walked away from the group. Suddenly, she spots a table at a distance and familiar Blonde hair caught her attention. A smile formed on her lips - it was Richie! Joining him was the cherry hair coloured Tucker and the brunette, Bryan. She felt her smile go the slightest bit wider, which was kind of silly - but it made her feel nice inside. Before she could take another step though, a loud scream rang through the entire fast food joint. It came from behind her. Snapping her head at that direction, she realizes that it came from the table she was just at. A large, muscular boy's body was slumped over the table with some younger girl pounding at his shoulder and screaming. The bluenette was in so much shock she couldn't even register what she was saying. Then, a busty girl - who she remembered as the one from the bus to the ferry - and her cabin mate, Sebastian, sprang to their feet - screaming as well, but again, she couldn't register what she was saying. Though, she pretty much got a good idea of what was happening.

"Oh... my GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHD!"

It came from the bustier girl, as blood covered her palm. Elisa lost her grip on the glass of water she was holding and it dropped to the floor, splashing water all over her boots and up her ankles. Then everything went really quickly from there. The busty girl dropped. Then Sebastian dropped and when he did, her heart did skip a beat and her breathing stopped. She knew that guy. Well, she knew the others too - but she actually knew this guy. She shared a cabin with him for a day. He seemed really nice - and now, he's dead. Gone. She could feel tears stinging in her eyes. They were all campers and now they were all dead. Just dropping there, swimming in their own blood.

She stood there, unable to move. She found herself gaping at them in horror. A counselor came over and dragged the two girls who were luckily still alive away and someone mentioned the police coming - but she still couldn't do anything. She felt like someone was out there to get them. She really did - and she was completely terrified. Why was everyone just dying? Was she going to die too?

WEATHERCLEAR SKIES 54°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 6/19/2013 - 5:00AM ✖『DAY』 05

Alexandra did the idiotic thing and killed him, rather than knocking him out like I suggested before we got into the truck.

For a while, she didn't want to move. They had been driving for a long time before they finally pulled into a bright gas station. It took her turning her heavy head to take in the McDonalds, and make out the garbled voices coming from all around her.

They were stopping, to eat. She didn't want to eat.

They were leaving the car but she stayed put, resting her aching forehead on the glass of the window. Her eyelids fell, just a for a few seconds, and then her stomach growled violently. She nearly vomited, but swallowed instead.

Something was wrong with Bryan. He was stuttering. She hated people who stuttered, but Noëlle couldn't hate Bryan. Instead, she was struck with a profound sense of terror at his instability. She hadn't ever seen him, the way he was now, and what was worse was that she couldn't do anything. He had always been there for here but ... What had she been for him?

Nothing ... Her voice was hoarse and unrecognizable. Her breath fogged up a fuzzy circle on the window.

He didn't need her. He didn't need her, the way she needed him.

Fuck, she needed him.

Her body trembled and nausea consumed her. Finally, she opened the car door and dragged her aching body inside of the McDonalds, after grabbing a crumpled up twenty dollar bill from her bag.

She bought a snack wrap, and a lemonade. Then she took a seat alone and started to nibble on her food every once and a while. Her gaze switched from the food to Bryan, compulsively, over and over. He was there. She wondered if he was okay ...

When she couldn't bother with eating anymore, she was up wandering around the McDonalds. She stared at the newest toy they had on display, for the children, and then wondered if she would ever have kids. She waltzed around again, passing a sticky garbage can and wondering why people were so inconsiderate. It was disgusting.

Then, she took the steps necessary to reach the front counter. There was a tired looking, freckle kissed, red-head waiting to take her order. Instead, she asked if there were any phones to be used.

You can find a payphone right outside. She replied, uncaring, not even making eye contact with her.

Noëlle decided to stare at her until she was met with a confused and slightly-irritated gaze. She asked for change for two dollars and got it, then stepping outside into the cool air.

It wasn't difficult to find the payphone, and once she did, she called her mother.

No answer.

Some kind of hallow, tired message was left on the answering machine; one in which she droned on and on about camp, the ferry, Bentley, and Bryan not being okay.

The answering machine cut her off before she was through and she slammed the receiver down. Her body shook again and tears begin to fall, even though she didn't immediately understand why.

Oh god ... A terrible, shaky groan left her mouth and tears fell from her dark lashes. Her arms wrapped around herself, nails digging into her rib cage as the tear drops became streaks down her cheeks. Her hands lifted her shirt up just enough to cover her nose and mouth and she sobbed into it. Bryaaaan ... She whimpered longingly, desperately, into the collar of her shirt.

Unable to be away from him any longer, she reentered McDonalds.

Oh... my GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHD!

Instantly, she tensed, her eyes widening.

Struggling for air and panic on full, Noëlle found the source. A girl was crying over someone's body, then ... Two others.

People were dying.

Please stop ... I can't ... Bryan! Her eyes found him, but she felt like she couldn't move. Someone was calling 911. The police were coming. She thought about David. Thought about how she had attacked him, in the car. Thought about that mist ... and everything else.

She wasn't able to call for her brother again so soon, as James came running through the door, large, sweat covered, and pale faced. He rammed into her and she fell back, into one of the exit doors. He pushed her out of his way and threw the door open, running for the car. Her body twisted under her and she sniffled, unable to hush the choking sobs leaving her pathetic frame. James ran for the driver's seat. He was wheezing and fumbling with the keys of the car.

Had Bryan not ... ?

Bryan! She exclaimed through cries. I want to go home ... I w-want to go home. I want to go home. I want to go home ... I wan-want to go home !!

Things were quite peaceful with Julius and Maria and though he wasn't the greatest at comforting at least he himself could take comfort in knowing that he was able to comfort the girl. Relaxing like this was nice and Julius began to feel a bit tired. He wondered if taking a very quick nap wouldn't hurt, but then a commotion occured and Julius' attention immediately was sent over to the restaurant.

The fatass of the group suddenly rushed out from the exit and before he knew it the boy was heading straight towards the truck. With all that sweat and fatigue, surely something disastrous was occurring. Letting go of Maria, Julius hopped out of the truck to check out what was going on, but suddenly he noticed the boy do something really odd and head over at the driver seat "Where the hell are you going?" Julius said before the sudden roar of the engine started to sound. Immediately, Julius' eye widened and acting as soon as he heard the sound, Julius rushed to the driver seat, opened the door and immediately grabbed the fatass by his shirt collar. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING" Julius yelled as his big muscles began to budge as his grip tightened.

Using all his strength, Julius pulled the fatass and tossed him out of the truck and onto the ground. He really wasn't forgiving when he tossed the boy on the ground since he wasn't in the greatest moods and the boy's fat could always cushion the blow and make him bounce. "ALRIGHT YOU'D BETTER DAMN WELL EXPLAIN WHAT THEN HELL IS GOING ON" Julius yelled standing in the way of the driver seat as he cracked his knuckles.

OOC SIGH, SO MUCH TROUBLE. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED.

Sophie wasn't entirely sure what was going on, and her reaction time to it was unusually slow, but before she could reply to Pierce, the girl named Jenna -- who had apparently been with them all this time -- rushed over to Sean's side. He was slumped over the table and the younger girl was panicking. Sophie frowned and wondered what was wrong with him, and then she coughed herself, and remembered the mist was still in most all of their systems.

As she watched the scene take place, it all seemed rather surreal. Planned. Staged? Sophie wasn't exactly one who had grip on complete reality. She frowned. And then they were all down for the count. Sebastian, Stratana, and Sean. How strange.

Sophie found herself standing, staring at their bodies and feeling . . . nothing, actually, but a strange tingling in her body and a small voice in the back of her mind told her that she should be panicking, that they were dead (?) and that she should be doing something. The feeling of caring couldn't exactly be found, but this was weird. Too weird for her.

When she heard that the workers were panicking and calling 911, Sophie didn't want to be here anymore. She kind of wanted to go home, really. Be in her room and write in her journal. She sighed, feeling conflicted. And there was no need for her to stay, it seemed that Alexandra was going to stay, was going to confess to murder? Not that Sophie cared, but Alexandra null and voided her reason for sticking around for the authorities.

"Everyone is dragged into this." She heard Erik say, and she went quiet again. Not all of them had witnessed David's murder -- and really, it was self-defense, and he was drunk.

Sophie let out a little laugh at the whole thing. She really couldn't have planned anything better herself. A small part of her found that she enjoyed what was going on, as she usually did enjoy chaos, but . . . Another part, the usually ignored bit, wanted her to panic and scream and worry and . . . Be meek little Sophie again.

No thank you. she thought to herself, pushing her hands into her pockets and bending under the table to get a good look at Pierce. "If you don't want anything to do with this, you should leave. Being in police custody isn't fun." Of course, it was Pierce's decision, and Sophie wasn't going to drag Quentin like she had last time.

She walked out of the station.

"Bryan!" she heard over her shoulder, "I want to go home . . . I w - want to go home. I want to go home. I want to go home . . . I wan-want to go home !!"

Sophie looked up at the sky after joining Maria and Julius on the tail gate, but then Julius got up after a hefty boy rushed passed them and into the driver's seat of the truck. Sophie didn't like where this was going. She hopped off after Julius did and watched the scene unfold.

. . . She couldn't help but laugh. She knew there had been a reason she liked Julius.

MOOD. . .❤??NOTHINGOOC. . .

Bryan stood, frozen, staring at the three dropped. He couldn't . . .

He gave a dry heave, but nothing came out. He was expecting his meal, but nothing. His throat burned, his head was spinning, and everything was slowly fading away as his body weakened up, and he stumbled back into a chair. He tried to breathe, tried to calm down, but all he did was hyperventilate and run his fingers up and down his pant legs, scratching at the jean fabric.

He stood again.

He sat again.

Bryan ran fingers through his hair. Oh, someone was calling 911. Good. Good? What if they found out about David? Bryan could get in trouble for that. He didn't want to. That man, he didn't deserve to die, but he definitely shouldn't have laid a finger on Noëlle, that had definitely been a bad idea.

Forcing himself to turn away from the scene, Bryan finally took a few, shaky deep breaths. People were dying, one after the other. There had been more death in his life over the last four days than there had been during the last . . . nineteen years of his life. He didn't know if he could do this anymore. He ran his hands through his hair, thinking of what to do next. Well, he didn't feel like being here anymore. Not here. Not really anywhere.

God.

"Bryan!" He heard the voice and spun around, looking for the source. She was lying on the ground, next to the sliding door. She looked like she was saying something else, but he couldn't make it out.

Things clicked. He rushed to her side. "O - Oh god, Noëlle, are yo alright?" he exclaimed, sweeping her up into his arms. God. God. God. He was a terrible person. "Sorry -- S - Sorry . . ." He wasn't allowed to leave. He couldn't leave her. She needed him, and he would be there for her. No matter what. "You -- want to go?" he asked her, easily standing with her in his arms, "It would - . . ." It would be better to what -- stay here?

Probably not.

"I wanna go home, too." he told her, trying not to shake. Off in the distance, he heard ambulances and police cars. They were coming. Bryan his sister outside just in time to hear ". . . EXPLAIN WHAT THEN HELL IS GOING ON?" Bryan stopped short. That was Julius.

He set down Noëlle on the tailgate, but kept hold of her hand and saw a boy on the ground, who might have been fretting against Julius' force.

"Julius," Bryan said clearly, "We -- . . . We want to go h - home."

He would have just taken the truck, but for some reason, he didn't have the keys, and he couldn't just leave all of these others behind . . . Could he? He just wanted to go home.

Adrian reopened his eyes just to see his entire group squabbling. It was already starting to piss him off. They were squabbling to the point where Adrian could literally...

Adrian cracked his neck and his eyes rolled back into his head for a second. He stood, an angry look on his face as he yelled at his entire group, "ALL OF YOU MAGGOTS, SHUT UP!"
It didn't matter if they had been listening or not, Max turned towards Julius who was holding a chubby boy by his shirt collar and growled "Let the tub of a lard ass run. That's what cowards always do, and besides, if you got the truck keys on you, he can't go anywhere but walk."

"As for the rest of you," Max's guttural voice reached everyone, primarily the one's grieving over the loss of the three who are dead, "Let me just lay one card on the table: I'm not trying to act like a leader, because nobody died to make me one, and I doubt anyone would want me as one. But you all have to stop SCREAMING! Yes, the three people are dead, but I've already made my peace, even though I never knew them and I never will get to know them. So just please calm down! You're making enough of a scene as it is!"

"Call me all rude if you like. But you either have to decide to go, or to stay. By the looks of this entire commotion, the police are probably en route now."

A girl's ear piercing scream cut them off from any further conversation. The worn-out twenty one year old immediately got to his feet, alerted by the shriek. His gaze quickly fell on Elisa first, who stood there motionless with her back turned to them, but his eyes quickly passed her and caught the scene. There stood five students, well four, as one of them was hunched over the table. He was a big guy, Tucker could already tell by that alone that it was the Sean guy. Anyone's typical jock, real tough and all but there he slumped on the stable not moving.

A short while after only three students were left standing. Another had fallen. Tucker completely tensed when he realized who it was. Stratana. One of his troopers. Immediately, he felt like a phantom had punched him in the stomach and filled his insides with everything horrible. That was one of his troopers. He was supposed to be the Super Trooper. Not just any super trooper - their Super Trooper. Her Super Trooper. His insides felt like they wanted to explode and scatter all over the floor. It wasn't even nausea, just utter horridness. His body twitched as he stared at the curvy girl he knew who lay on the ground motionless. He wanted to go over to her and cradle her in his arms and bring her back to life somehow - but his feet felt like they were nailed to the floor. He stood there and watched in horror, with the awful thought hammering around his mind, 'YOU DIDN'T SAVE HER.'

Two students were left standing. Another kid fell. Blood was all over the place. His eyes stayed wide with horror, boy, he hoped that the number left standing didn't drop to one. His hands that stationed by his side were shaking. His mouth gaped open. He heard a noise come from Bryan next to him and he quickly looked at the younger counselor. He was clearly in a much worse state than he was. He looked like he was going to have an attack of some sort. Tucker wanted to tell him everything was going to be okay but he knew he'd be lying because things were definitely not okay. Plus, everything was happening so fast. Bryan was sitting then he was standing then he sat again. Then Erik dragged the two girls who still stood - and still lived - away from the nightmare. Then Noelle, Bryan's sister, yelled for him and he immediately went to her. Elisa still wasn't moving. Richie seemed really shaken by it too and had not moved either. Muffled cop and ambulance sirens seemed to be getting closer. He noticed the other students a distance away, Sophie, and his two troopers Pierce and Quentin. Then, Sophie left, with a rather ignorant expression. Pierce was under the table. From outside, he heard Julius screaming his head off. Snap. Snap. Snap. All of that just happened like that. There were so many ways to go now for him. Cower away and run. Get the kids out. Vomit some more. Examine the scene. Help Erik. Help Julius. Help Bryan. What was he going to do?

"Everyone is dragged into this."

The cherry haired male gulped, balling his hands into fists. Erik was right. This wasn't good for anyone - and they were all part of this. Police would be here soon and he hoped they wouldn't make the connection to the dead truck driver Dave if they had spotted him on the way. There would be the police interrogations and all those routines. Things would get pretty crazy. Heck, what if the police arrested them. Then again, what if they'd help? No. He was thinking too far ahead. Right now, he had to think of what was happening - the police was still pretty far away. He glanced at who was left in the food joint. Okay. 'It would be best to get them out.' he thought. 'The kids shouldn't be exposed to something so horrid.'

He placed a gentle hand on Richie's shoulder, looking down at him he tell him rather sternly, "Take Elisa and wait outside. You don't need to see anymore of this." he didn't wait for the young blonde to start moving.

"ALL OF YOU MAGGOTS, SHUT UP!"

Tucker's head snapped to the boy screaming his head off. It was some red head, Adrian was his name.... perhaps, but he didn't really care. After his first line, he literally let everything he said come in one ear and out the next. This boy was being incredibly inconsiderate and selfish and people were scared. This was definitely not the time for this. He felt his teeth grind together in annoyance, and took a step forward towards the jerk, prepared to scream at him and drag him out of the fast food place, but his eyes fell on Quentin and Pierce. What would happen if he did slap the self-centered kid? What would happen if he just went to his two troopers? Who needed him more. He really wanted to give the Adrian kid a piece of his mind and shut the one who was being the real maggot up, but he knew that wasn't his place. With an annoyed grunt he ignored the boy - but made a mental note to speak with him later.

He moved on his decision, approaching his two troopers who were left in their booths. He was their Super Trooper. He still was. There was no way he was going to not be one ever again. He sent a gentle gaze to Quentin, pressing his lips together as he inhaled. He tilted his head towards the door, "You should wait outside with the others. Ignore the other red head." he told him. He realized in that moment that he didn't actually spend that much time with this boy - but he remembered him for being excited about the scavenger hunt with a smile on his face. He blinked, staring at the boy trooper once more before he squatted down to help Pierce.

His eyebrows furrowed together and lips turned, wearing a very sad expression. His little girl trooper was always this frail, delicate and timid character. He couldn't even imagine what she must have been going through right now - but looking at her sure made his chest hurt even more. She was covering her ears and her eyes were shut so so tightly. She was shaking. The super trooper scooted closer to the trooper, crouching more so he didn't hit his head under the table. He stretched his arms out to her, gently placing his larger hands over hers. He stayed close to her, keeping his face quite near hers so that she could hear his comforting shhhh's. His thumbs rubbed over her index fingers' knuckles as he whispered to her, "It's okay, Pierce. It's okay. You're not alone. You're never alone. It's okay." He whispered this to her over and over before he felt comfortable enough to think that she felt less scared and pulled away from her as he looked into her eyes and spoke, "Come on, let's go outside and away from here. It's okay, you don't have to look over there. You can keep your eyes closed the entire time. Don't worry, I'll go with you." He forced a smile to creep on his lips, just to make let her know that he wasn't lying. After the girl obliged, he helped her out from under the table. He kept her in a comforting half embrace as he lead her out of the fast food place and away from the crime scene.

Lexi stood and walked over to a blonde guy (Richie) before he was totally gone. "C-Could you... Take Natalie with you? I don't want her to be in this anymore, and she's already so scared... We all know I may get arrested today, and I don't want her to see that. She's too shaken up... Please... Just... Take her home.

She turned to her friend. The younger girl was sobbing into her arms and shaking. It broke Alexandra's heart to see such a young girl thrust in the middle of this. She herself may have already screwed up too much, but it wasn't too late for Natalie to do something.

Lexi eyed him once more, waiting for his answer.

"You look like you could use some good rest. Maybe you should try and eat a little?" Bryan nudged the box of chicken nuggets towards Richie. He shook his head no adamantly. He continued, "At least try. I know this sick feeling is still overwhelming, but it'll be worse if you don't eat..." The boy sighed, figuring he was right as he picked one up and are it hesitantly. He was afraid of swallowing, since he might puke it back up right on Bryan. But holding the mushy mess in his mouth would do no good either, and he was pretty hungry ( as much as he didn't want to admit it ). Richie swallowed the nugget and... nothing happened. His stomach felt settled, which caused him to smile slightly at Bryan. His crush was right, he did feel better.

Richie opened his mouth to thank Bryan for the food, but before he could even utter a syllable a scream rang through the McDonald's. He felt his body instantly freeze as he slowly turned around, terrified of what he might see. He closed his eyes as his body was completely turned... he was so curious as to what was happening, but he knew if he looked he'd be mortified. The numerous shrieks that followed the original forced Richie to view the horrific scene in front of him.

Three... three people were on the floor. Blood was spilling out of one's mouth, and the two others... oh God. The boy's eyes began to water as he felt his stomach churn, and the vomit soon followed. He clutched his stomach as he collapsed to the floor. This was... a nightmare. People were dying right in front of him... people were dying...

Richie forced himself up and immediately grabbed a napkin from the table, wiping the residue from his lips. He tossed it to the side and felt his body freeze again. The full reality of what was happening finally sunk in... he was petrified. He literally couldn't move a muscle; his breathing became raspy and shallow as it became harder and harder to breathe.

A gentle hand, placed on Richie's shoulder, broke his frozen state. He didn't care who it was; he turned around and hugged them tightly. He looked up through his tears, and saw it to be Tucker. He clenched tighter as he said firmly, "Take Elisa and wait outside. You don't need to see anymore of this." Richie detached and nodded, quickly locating Elisa. As he began to walk, his friend following close behind, another approached him.

It was the blue haired girl... Lexa(?). Through her uneven breaths, she managed to ask, "C-Could you... Take Natalie with you? I don't want her to be in this anymore, and she's already so scared... We all know I may get arrested today, and I don't want her to see that. She's too shaken up... Please... Just... Take her home." Richie didn't know the girl too well, but nonetheless he accepted her request. Who was he to reject it anyway...?

Despite never meeting Natalie before, Richie easily found her. He'd seen her around quite a few times, so he easily recognized her petite frame. Grabbing her wrist with his other hand, he led her outside along with Elisa. She fought back, naturally... she must have had a real deep connection with... them. He couldn't even bring himself to... his thoughts trailed off. His mind was racing faster than he could process, and it made him feel light-headed. Not even the brisk air helped.

...He began to weep.

Quentin enjoyed his conversation. Sophie seemed to enjoy it as well. Sophie revealed a bit of herself when the shy girl joined them. She said that she enjoyed others' discomfort. I see. He was enjoying their conversation right up until it was interrupted by wailing. Tch. Can we get no peace? He turned toward the source of the commotion with the others.

"Oh . . . my GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHD!" It was Stratana. She seemed to be coughing up blood. He thought she was being over dramatic until she collapsed, along with two others, including the jock who stole her bag. He twitched and covered his ears as if it would help. All that he could think about was the scene with the bag on the bus, superimposed onto the collapsed figures. It feels like ages ago.

He didn't know them personally, but the deaths were starting to get to him. He was already assuming that the three were dead. Maybe it was seeing things happen in front of him. He started to wonder just how lucky he was. Whatever the cause, he was dazed until a word triggered him.

". . . 9-1-1 . . ." His head turned toward the phrase, but he couldn't pinpoint the source. . . . Police? He shook himself, trying to focus. Didn't we steal a truck and leave a guy for dead back there? He got the distinct feeling that calling them as a bad move. More than anything, he did not want to get sidetracked again. I should leave.

He caught something out of the corner of his eye. It was Sophie. She was already moving toward the door. He stumbled after her, gaining focus and speed with each step. How does she keep calm? When he made it out, there was already another bit of excitement. One of the counselors was chewing out a fat kid who he had apparently thrown to the ground. "What is going on?"

Some red headed kid started barking out orders. Tucker showed up and told everyone to ignore him. Quentin had no trouble -- the kid was annoying more than anything. Everyone seemed to be freaking out by now. He wasn't sure if anyone had called 9-1-1 yet, but he wasn't eager to find out.

"I just want to leave . . ."

Sophie glanced at Quentin and almost looked sympathetic.

Elisa felt like she was frozen from the inside, as she stared blankly at the crime scene in front of her. All the blood. This wasn't the fake blood she'd adore on the photos she'd look at constantly. These weren't mere nose bleeds or bruised knees. This was death - and it was real. She felt herself shiver all over and even jumped slightly when Richie had retrieved her, pulling her along and away from the place.

As she followed him, she couldn't take her eyes off of the group. Her eyes kept dancing from one dead body to the next and back. She just couldn't stop looking. Her eyes were still wide in horror but other than that her lips stayed shut, her breathing stayed constant. If it weren't for her eyes and shaking, weak body then people would probably think she didn't care less or was fascinated even. But she was scared. She was so, so scared.

Once she followed her friend out of the food joint, with her eyes still glued on the pile of dead bodies and her mouth remaining shut without uttering a word. They were dead. They were really dead. She couldn't quite grasp it - the reality of that they were gone. Perhaps that was why she couldn't find herself to look away. She blinked twice, then her lips separated slightly and she finally averted her eyes for a moment but she looked back again. Finally, with a lick of her upper lip, she turned her back on the food joint but she stayed silent, as she crouched down to hug her knees. The cold was biting at her skin, more so a sinking feeling settled inside of her. She wanted to go home. She wanted to get out. She just wanted to get in one of the police cars and have them drive her home.

The sound of weeping caught her attention. It was her friend Richie. She looked up at him, watching him and not really doing anything. She couldn't. She was scared. She was terrified - horrified. People were dying all around her. She didn't have internet access for comfort. She lost most of her things. Disasters occurred almost in sequence. She was miles away from home. The police were coming and she was going to go with them but she was scared.

There. The scrawny teenager bit deeply into her lower lip. It had sunk in. The reality had finally sunk in. So she just crouched there and waited but she looked down at the ground ahead of her, before she rested her forehead down on her knees and began sobbing as well. This was a total nightmare.[DOUBLEPOST=1368919858][/DOUBLEPOST]

As he led his litte trooper out of the horrid food joint, he kept his arm around her in the cold air of the night outside. He stationed her next to Quentin, giving her shoulder a tight squeeze and a small smile before leaving her. He then approached the oldest counselor, Julius, who was surrounded by quite a number of people. He looked at him for a moment, battling between the decisions he was indecisive about in his head.

"I'm going to stay and wait for the police." he told him as he scratched the back of his head. He understood if the others wanted to just get out of there immediately and he wanted to be with them but he couldn't run away from the police. He was done with that. When he was younger, if he wasn't so afraid of his father who threatened to kill him if he didn't submit, then maybe he wouldn't have been under his abuse for those six years. The police helped him so much. They put his father behind bars and away from him and got him and his mother back into shape.

The deaths they were tied to kind of hung at the back of his mind, but he couldn't betray his trust for the police. This, in his mind, was the right thing to do. So he looked back at the people near him, Julius and Bryan who held Noelle and Maria and everyone else. They were all scared. So so terrified - and he was too, but he tried his hardest not to show it. His signature smile has disappeared, but other than that he was in a calm state.

He glanced at the road, as the muffled police sirens seemed to approach. He still didn't see any red or blue flashing lights though. He turned back to Julius, "If there are some who want to stay too then I'll be here to take care of them, don't worry I won't slip up. But if you're planning to go - I suggest you guys get going." with that, he gave a small, forced smile to Julius and a pat on the back for Bryan.

Then with a nod, he turned away from the group and waited by the front of McDonald's, by Elisa, who was sobbing. He sat next to her, putting an arm around her shoulders. The teenaged girl, leaned into his shoulder and continued crying, muttering that she wanted to just go with the police, get over with it and go home. He leaned his jaw at the top of her head, before he replied in hush tones, "Me too." She sobbed some more as he held her close. He glanced back inside, taking a quick look at the pile of dead bodies, before he looked away and back on the road. He really hoped that things would begin to go their way for once.

Adrian cracked his neck again, returning to normal again, just in time for a counselor to start shuffling everyone out. Whatever he had said this time may have had the decision to leave, because he couldn't remember. Did he just....?
Adrian did a facepalm and sighed. He can't even talk to people normally without having to blank out. Or did his second personality shift control?

Adrian didn't know anymore. He just turned and walked away. If Sophie had decided to laugh, he didn't care, he'd already lost. If Pierce didn't talk to him, he didn't care. He'd already lost his relationship status with her. If Julius took action, he didn't care. He'd already lost the majority of the group's trust anyway. He went to the bathroom. No one was there. He put a hand to his face and rubbed it. He just didn't know how to control the stress. It was too overwhelming. The three accidents, Toni's death, Pierce's cold shoulder, Sophie's stupid rationality to shove Lexi and him off, and the rest of the group's mistrust....and then his brain began to reel.
All he could do now was one klutzy move.

He looked in the mirror, drew a right fist and smashed it. The mirror instantly shattered, severely cutting Adrian's right hand, and permanently shattering Adrian's thought control, making him go into an immediate depression. He grabbed a few paper towel's and wrapped them around his knuckles, putting pressure on the wound. He turned on his heel, then walked out the door. He accidentally bumped shoulders with Pierce, but Adrian didn't care. All he wanted was to get away from all the pain. He threw his hoodie over his face and walked out the door. He climbed up to the truck's rear, and sat in the loneliest corner in the back, curling into a shadowy ball. For once in Adrian's entire life, Adrian felt truly alone. All his emotions slowly disappeared, leaving nothing but a cold black hole in his heart, as he pulled something of an emotionless expression. He was completely alone. And he wanted to stay that way.

Finally! Food! Checking his vests pockets, he found what he was searching for, a body heat dried ten dollar bill. He snorted quietly when he was told to share and to be considerate of what spent. Hahahaha. He was glad they went to McDonalds, his eyes scanned the menus and he ordered without mercy. Three McDoubles and a medium fry with a large drink. Leaving him with two dollars and some change. He filled up his cup with a fizzy sprite and it was done in a flash. Lucky for them, he was not in the mood for ****** fries or slow service.

He was in the mood for the hastily devoured three burgers. He sipped his sprite to wash it down and frowned. This Sprite tasted a bit weird. It tasted coppery and it seemed to be too sweet or something because it made his insides feel funny. James doesn't play that, not with his food. So grumpily he took his fries and drink to the drink station and completely dumped and refilled his cup with more Sprite, to only find the same effect was happening, he angrily made his way to the front counter and bitched about changing the drinks like a true fast food goer. While they checked the back and he waited, he munched on some fries and frowned again, this coppery taste in their food was getting unacceptable! He even felt a little pain in his system, obviously from the anger though. He noted that one fry seemed to have ketchup on it, funny, he didn't grab any packets. Shrugging it off, he took another coppery, salty, processed potatoe-y bite. He could feel the pain growing a bit worse as he thanked the emotionless counter girl for assuring him that the drinks were fine.

He coughed into his hand as he was about to turn around and head back to his seat. On top if the pain he felt a bit woozy. And where in the hell did this stuff come from. It was all red and sticky, and it only came from his mouth. Oh these employees would get his foot shoved so far up their asses for this!

Screaming! Yelling! Death!? Shouts for 911 to be called filled the air and he saw them, he saw them die! His mind flickered like a bad projector playing a semi old movie, they looked faintly like the people who were in the back of the truck with him. He could feel tears start to prick at his eyes and trickle down his portly cheeks as realization hit him. Hard. This was his blood flowing down his cheeks. They had breathed in something and now people in his school's group died back to back like pigs to the slaughter. He narrowed his crying eyes at the truck. It was right there, much faster then a ambulance! And this had to have a hospital nearby, McDonald's spawned where people gathered! He just had to find it in time. His feet heard his mental command and for the first time in his life, he willing dropped food and rushed for the door. Pink haired girl appeared in his field of view and he shouldered her, thinking 'Move *****, get out the way!' Jesus, it took forever to get to the door and push it open. The keys were right in the ignition! What about the others? Plenty of the people got here in cars, they'd be okay. And he could always figure out how to drive and come back for his gem, his Em. The truck roared to life easily and he was seconds away from putting the car in reverse when Counselor Pirate came at him like a spider monkey. More pain, more weakness, and more blood flowed as he moved through the air and onto the ground.

He tried to listen to the counselor's words, but it was hard. He tried to mouth, 'help me', but only his blood and tears spoke for him. He couldn't be dying, right? He was a kid, barely a teen, he was part of the YOLO generation. The world would be able to hear him mesmerize them with his voice someday, right? The blood from his body shifted into a slower gear as he lowered himself fully onto his back, only his tears moving now as his cheat slowed to a huanting chill. 'I just want my mommy.'
But no one could save the now dead James.

Erik waited until after everyone left the restaurant before going to speak with the manager. In the distance he could hear the faint sound of sirens and he rubbed his eyes before giving one last look at the kids on the floor. His eyes locked on the big guy and he raked his hands through his hair. Dammit meathead! He sighed before walking out of the building.

He was staring down at the ground when he heard the pitter patter of footsteps. Erik looked up to see the little girl Natalie rushing back to the building. He held an arm out and caught her at her shoulders, drawing her in. "I don't think so sweetheart." His tone was stern but comforting. He stroked her hair before turning her back in the direction of the truck. "You really shouldn't be in there." Erik walked with one hand on her shoulder, nudging her the whole way across the parking lot. He stopped at the truck and looked around. Everyone seemed to be present now but broken up in a few groups. His brows rose at the sight of James and Julius and just shook his head in dismay. Brown hair swayed back and forth against his eyes and he helped the child into the truck bed.

"Everyone that wants to leave should get loaded up and out of here if that's really what you want to do. They'll be here any minute." His eyes roamed the area and rested on Tucker who was sitting on the ground with a few of the kids. He took three quick strides over to them and rested one hand on his shoulder. His shoulders sagged and he felt as if he were a million years old. Erik gave him a pat before pulling out his pack of smokes. He needed something to do while he waited. His hands needed to keep busy before they became too restless--he was restless.

"Oh... my GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHD!"
The sudden scream had surprised Alex, to the point where he dropped the fry he was about and turned his head towards the source. Once again it seemed that there luck was going was going south for them. Another two kids were dead. He barely knew any of them, but still that didn't change the shocked expression on his face. Death was still fairly new to him, even with all the past happenings
By this point he'd gone outside with some of the others, he didn't want to be around the dead bodies. He just wanted to get some fresh air. No doubt that 9-1-1 being was going to be called. Which could work in their favor depending on how the interaction with the cops when. Maybe this would be the thing that would give them a way back.
"If there are some who want to stay too then I'll be here to take care of them, don't worry I won't slip up. But if you're planning to go - I suggest you guys get going."
There weren't any plans for him to go running and that wasn't going to change. "I-i'll stay t-too." Hopefully this would be what they waiting for an be there way out of all this insanity.

❝ If you don't want anything to do with this, you should leave. Being in police custody isn't fun. ❞ It was Sophie's voice. She heard the girl make her way out of the booth, but couldn't bring herself to join the girl. Her body was frozen under the table. She couldn't bring herself to bundle and move.

There were footsteps and Pierce opened her eyes to see a pair of legs in front of her. She turned her head away and shut them tight once more. There was someone standing there. Fear peaked inside her. She was shaking uncontrollably under the table. Sophie was gone. Quentin was still sitting there, but he rarely said anything. There was someone beside her! Her heart thumped loudly and her breathing was too quick. There was a shifting beside her and whomever had been standing was now crouching beside her. Warm thick hands were pressed against the ones she had on her ears. No! Please don't! She couldn't voice her words. They caught in her throat. Whoever it was, was making shushing noises and rubbing their thumb over her knuckles. There was a tingling sensation in her hands that jolted through her whole body. Her cheeks burned red and stung from her tears.

❝ It's okay, Pierce. It's okay. You're not alone. You're never alone. It's okay. It was Tucker! She breathed a sweet sigh of relief. He whispered this to her over and over. Her breathing slowed to a more steady pace as her heart rate dropped down to a more appropriate one, with the occasional palpitation from his touch. He gently pulled her hands away from her ears and coaxed her into opening her eyes. Tucker pulled away from her as he looked into her eyes and spoke, ❝ Come on, let's go outside and away from here. It's okay, you don't have to look over there. You can keep your eyes closed the entire time. Don't worry, I'll go with you. He smiled. Pierce gave a slow nod before finally managing to release herself. After she obliged, he helped her out from under the table. Tucker held her in a comforting half embrace as he lead her out of the fast food place and away from the crime scene.

It felt so odd and foreign, but incredibly wonderful. It was even better than wearing the sweater he loaned to her that had been trashed in the fire. He smelled husky and sweet, like scented soap and the remnants of exertion. Her bare legs trembled from the cold but her torso was warm. She could feel the beating of his heart under his shirt and her hair clung to her face.

Pierce was silent all the while they walked to the truck. Tucker stopped walking when they reached Quentin and he released her by her cabin mate's side. She felt a swelling of disappoint at the release, but squashed it down. ❝ I'm going to stay and wait for the police. he announced before walking off. Pierce watched him go until something bumped into her. She looked to see Adrian walking by, making no attempt to apologize. Her brows knit into contempt as he stalked off. He was being so cold. Even if he were mad at her, he didn't need to be so cold.

She swallowed and crawled into the truck bed, squeezing into a corner. Her eyes darted to Julius and the boy at his feet. Did he--she shook her head. She couldn't take anymore dead bodies. Everyone was dying. Pierce curled up again and coughed into the crook of her arm. Her hair had almost completely fallen out of the bun she had it in and it fell around her like a veil.

Natalie continued to sob. There was no way she'd be let back in. She wasn't sure if she was more upset that Sebastian was gone, or that she couldn't be with him. And now, Lexi would likely be arrested and/or sent to the nuthouse. What did she have left? None of these kids probably cared at ALL about her, let alone knew who she was. Natalie probably looked overly dramatic back there.

But what could she have done? Shrugged it off like that idiot freak that beat up a corpse? Where was he anyway? She hoped he wasn't with them, because he didn't deserve to go home. He was a freak.

As her thoughts went back to Sebastian, she pulled out her Sonic Screwdriver. He had fixed it for her. She thought it was broken, but he had somehow fixed the soaking wet toy.

Natalie was unsure what to feel. It was her last reminder of him, but what he had said, the way he mentioned them both being fantastic... It just kind of made her sad to own this.
