    She would float...
Adrian snapped his head back up with a horrid and angry expression. How could Pierce say that? A sudden migraine made him close his eyes crack his neck loudly, and as he reopened his eyes, they looked to be darker in color, a pale orange, like his sister's eye.
"I'm going to disregard that last comment." Adrian's voice was not his own, but it sounded guttural, like nails being dragged across a stone.

Adrian snapped his neck, and his eyes turned back yellow (or was it a trick of the light?) and looked at Pierce.
"I-I-I..." He began to stutter, "H-how..c-could.."
Adrian looked down at his plate again. He felt like crying. Again, how could Pierce say such a thing? It just made his brain reel like crazy.

The room seemed to drop by two degrees as the tension in the room rose. Adrian suddenly had mixed instincts of whether to try and strangle Pierce, or to go completely mute to everyone for the rest of the day. In the end, he chose a different option. He sighed and let out a slight 'hmph' and replied, "Yeah, I guess she would float. But then again, it's a very depressing thought, seeing a dead body floating. Just shows that there's no life in it."

THERE'S a STIRRING INSIDE of ME.

Adrian's eyes seemed to darken as he turned his sharp gaze on her. Had she really said that out loud? There had been no intention in doing so. She hadn't even meant to think it. All the color seemed to drain from her as his frightening look sharpened like knives. I'm going to disregard that last comment. His voice sounded different-lower, more feral. There was a dangerous gleam in his eyes and she had to pull her gaze away. She looked frantically around the room, wishing to disappear into the foundation. Her heart thumped and skipped sporadically in her chest and her breathing was low and shallow. She hadn't meant it...

I-I-I... He began to stutter, H-how..c-could.. Adrian suddenly sounded like himself again, but more distraught. She willed herself to look at him and a pang of sadness and guilt filled her. Pierce pushed the half-eaten meal away from herself, hands trembling. Yeah, I guess she would float. But then again, it's a very depressing thought, seeing a dead body floating. Just shows that there's no life in it.

Her breathing hitched in her throat and she feared she might faint. She wasn't sure how long it took her to realize that she had been holding it in, but she exhaled and made small choking sounds as she gasped for air. I-I didn't... I didn't m-mean to say that. I'm... I'm sorry. She looked ashamed and her face fell into her hands as she rested her elbows on the table, completely forgetting about Sophie even being there anymore. That was horrible of me.

Adrian had soon noticed Pierce's change in color. I-I didn't... I didn't m-mean to say that. I'm... I'm sorry. Pierce said shakily, letting her head fall in her hands, That was horrible of me.
Adrian started to pity the girl. She didn't look like the type to just say unkind words all the time, and let out a rare, sad smile.

"It's alright Pierce, I forgive you." Adrian said quietly, "These accidents just show how messed up we are now. The best thing we can do is to be the better person and forgive and forget, as well as learning from our past mistakes." He pushed back Pierce's plate gently, insisting that she finish eating. "You'll need energy for today. The last thing we need, is a girl ready to crash, especially considering how grim the situation was."

Adrian himself seemed to like Pierce a little bit more, considering her apology. And besides, Adrian wasn't like Toni; a person who holds grudges. He calmed himself down and said, "And besides! We might as well talk about something more committed to humanity rather than the Grim Reaper, so, lets talk. What're your favorite colors ladies?" Adrian was now talking to the girls more fully.

The young man opened his eyes. His eyelids felt really heavy. His body felt drained. Was it really morning already? The incredibly dim sunlight that sat on the wooden floor of his room answered his question. A sigh escaped his lips as he both of his hands reached up to brush his hair back and then rub his eyes. How long had he slept for? An hour? Two? It felt like five minutes, but he probably slept for at least 3, or more hours. Not more than four.

With a grunt, he sat up on his bed, allowing the thin bed sheets to slide down his scarred chest. His head turned to the window of his room, glancing at the clothes he hung there. He slid his legs off of the bed and stood, finally. It took him a second to absorb how drained he was but he remembered everything in that second as well. The forest fire, the ferry disaster - he wasn't home. He wasn't alone. There were students out there, students he originally signed up in the camp to take care of. He couldn't just go back to sleep - not now. With that in mind, he tossed the bed sheets wrapping his waist and legs before walking to the window and grabbing his clothes.

The fabric he held between his fingers were still a little damp, hanging them over night didn't seem to help but it was all he had so he slipped his shorts on, then his tank top. His polo seemed to fair better in the drying department, so he switched that from the striped tank top he wore, buttoning up the polo to hide his bare skin. Satisfied with a dryer top, he motioned out of his room and walked across the hall. He saw some familiar faces in the hall, but his grumbling stomach was too much for a small conversation. He sent them a tired smile - at least, he tried to send his usual chipper smile but his messy hair, wrinkled clothes and sleepy expression probably didn't work out well for that.

He made his way down the stairs, following the scent of scrumptious breakfast food... possibly a little too eagerly. He took a sudden step back before he could bump into the older counselor, Erik. "Whoa! Hey Erik, sorry 'bout that... Morning!" his tone was very tired at first but then he remembered the chipper mask he usually wore for everyone - one that everyone knew, so he greeted with a very enthusiastic morning. Possibly before the older man could reply, he quickly added with a laugh "Well, I'm starved! So I need to go get some grub. See you around!" He sent the guy a thumbs up with a grin, then made his way into the dining hall. There were many students around. He could see his trooper Pierce with Sophie, and a couple others he didn't get the chance to know by name. He stood by the edge of the table and reached down for an apple that he bit into before he began getting some breakfast into his plate. Taking a seat, satisfied with the breakfast he got, he looked at the students with a bright smile. He had to be happy. They must have been going through hell too. "Morning everyone!"

    "......what the fuck just happened"

    "...I don't even fucking know..."

    "...we died because of gas..."

"daaaaaaaaang Altair...you really need to control your gas...your fart killed them all"

"WHAT THE?... HOW THE...HOW THE HELL DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE....? "

"it just does...but still..such an odd situation we are in..how are we alive"

    "...yeah"

Another crazy dream entered the mind of Julius and immediately Julius sat up and held his head "urrg my head hurts" Julius said with a groan as he stood up from his bed and immediately head into the shower. After some sexy Julius shower time the man got out and let out a sigh as he placed on his now dry clothes and glanced at a nearby mirror "well then another day...lets see what fate has in store for me" Julius said as he pulled up the eyepatch he held in his hand and tied it over his right eye.

Having fully awoken, Julius stepped out of the room he was staying in and stretched as he let out a sigh. Since he was so out of it the last day he never really took much notice to where they were. He had absolutely no idea where they were at and he found the whole scenario quite strange. At first he figured they would still be near the port, but this became invalid when he realized the Grants took them on what seemed to be an hour drive. The Grants were surly rich so he wondered why they didn't offer their home for rest and was curious about why they were driven an hour long.

Hunger was nagging Julius and deciding not to ignore it, Julius decided to ignore his thoughts for now and head off to find something for him to devour and fuel his stomach so that he would have the necessary energy to go about his day and be able to kick any ass that troubles him. He noticed a few familiar faces upon reaching the dinning hall and closed his eye and raised a hand "Morning Kiddos" Julius said happily to the others in the dinning hall as he got himself some food.

Aislin awoke to her mind thinking upon the list of people who had died from the fire... she wondered how many more had died in the boat incident just yesterday. She felt her arm in the cast and closed her eyes.
    Confirmed Dead From Fire: 7
She could not remember the names of all the people but remembered the names being listed in alphabetical order, the first name being Alice. Aislin sat up and took another painkiller she had received. Aislin forced a smile on her face and left the room she had stayed in.
Total Missing: 5. The big name being Kevin.
Aislin walked down to the dining hall. There seemed to be a conversation going on, and some else, her councilor Julius actually, seemed to have just entered as well, along with another girl she didn't know the name of. Everyone just seemed to be coming in at the same time. Aislin sat down at the table and smiled at everyone, "Good Morning."
Might as well while the conversation seems interrupted.
Aislin quietly got herself food but had moved her left arm instinctively first and a pain jolted through her although she tried not to show it. She then got herself some food with her right arm. Shoot, how am I supposed to play drums now... I guess I could always play the cowbell...

When Alex got up, he took a quick stretch before getting up. He looked towards his clothes from yesterday, surely they were at least dryer than they were. Upon putting them on, he found that he was right about his assumption. Now that that was taken care of, he left his room and headed towards the lobby.
Just he'd expected there was breakfast being served and a line of people. Considering the choices though, it was enough to make passage go by fast. Taking his place in line, he went through it and came out with some waffles already covered in syrup. Whether it was pancakes or waffles, Alex made sure that he had syrup with them.
With that all said and done, Alex proceeded to the table where he sat down and started eating. Maybe he would attempt speaking to someone later, right now though he was more concerned with eating.

Richie[/url] awoke feeling refreshed and alert. His limbs felt much better also, which was an added bonus. He pulled the covers off of him, then realized he fell asleep in his clothes... boy, he must smell pretty bad. After existing the bed and slipping into the complementary slippers that came with the room. The front of the pale blue slippers were decorated with little candies, like lollipops and gumdrops. It was sooooo cute, in fact Richie was probably going to keep these after his time at the inn ended. He looked around his room, which was much more empty than he thought. Where was all his stuff...?

...Oh shit that's right! Fuuuuuuuuck... his Cupid's Brew, his BonBon, and all his clothes were probably at the bottom of the sea! He groaned heavily, and counted to ten calmly. It was fine... it could all be replaced, it would just take some time. Wait, most importantly, his pills! He quickly searched his pockets and discovered it in his back pocket. They were perfectly safe in his air-tight container. After the tightness in his chest faded, Richie headed into the bathroom and stripped. These clothes... they were the only thing the boy could call his own anymore (at least until he returned back home). He turned on the water and stepped into the shower, sighing softly. He allowed the warm and relaxing stream to envelope him. It was all so soothing, and especially after the past couple of days he survived through. He was so tempted to... pleasure himself to relieve all his bottled stress. But alas, he wasn't in /quite/ the mood for that sort of action. Maybe another time...

After he finished scrubbing himself clean, he stepped out of the shower and wrapped his waist with a towel. He slipped back into his slippers and picked up his clothes. These were pitifully disgusting, and he slept in this? Ugh, even after his shower, he still felt pretty gross. He stepped out of his room, which made him slightly embarrassed. He was shirtless, and the only thing separating him from utter public embarrassment was a thin towel. Great... but what other choice did he have?

Richie walked into the dining room area and took a seat in one of the vacant chairs. There were others in the room that he didn't recognize, which him feel even more uncomfortable. However, a lone face stood out: Tucker. He announced a cheerful good morning greeting to all in the dining room; it certainly perked up the atmosphere of the room. The almost-naked boy couldn't help but smile.

...He really hoped nobody was staring at him, and most importantly, judging him. He swallowed hard and allowed his eyes to focus on the folded hands that rested on his lap, his smile slowly disappearing.

    MOOD AMUSED❤!! NOTHINGWEARING

Sophie listened to Adrian explain the situation with his sister and wasn't at all surprised when he said Toni was dead. The only fault that girl's death had for Sophie was that she had lost one of her sources of amusements. But that was the great thing -- sources could always be replaced. There wasn't much sadness to be had from Sophie, nor lost love.

" . . . with my sister's carcass." She abstained from rolling her eyes. She understood the situation, but spilling out his feelings like that in public, and so quickly after it had happened, disgusted Sophie. She already didn't like this boy -- just as pathetic as his sister?

Quiet fell over the room and she looked over at Pierce, wondering what she thought about what he said. And then - "She would float . . ." It had been a bad idea for Sophie to start drinking her milk because she had nearly spit it out -- instead forcing it down her throat, and then letting out a laugh. And she didn't feel bad for it at all.

After laughing, she looked over at Adrian to gauge his reaction. "I'm going to disregard that last comment." Sophie rolled her eyes. Yeah, she hated him and didn't care for his disgusting tone at all. At least he was amusing her a little.

When she looked back at Pierce, the girl looked pale and Sophie frowned. "That was horrible of me."

"I got a good laugh out of it," Sophie said, "No harm, Pierce, no foul." But she was mostly saying that to get at Adrian. When he had said he'd 'forgiven her' the moment was suddenly over and it was like he didn't care about Toni anymore. Some brother, ahaha. Only caring when it was convenient for him? Maybe. She didn't answer his next question because she didn't care.

"Good morning, Tucker." Sophie said when he had come in, looking chipper as usual.

    "Mornin' kiddos."

Sophie looked when more people started pouring into the dining room for breakfast. "Good morning, Sir Patch." she greeted with a smile. Too much noise in here, now but Sophie didn't try to talk to the others. At least she had gotten to know Pierce a bit more.

    "Aaaaachoo!"

She woke with a start, groaning as she sat up from her bed after the morning sneeze. She felt sticky and icky, looking down at herself, she realized why. She had fallen asleep with her clothes still on. Groaning once more, she knew she had to rise and take a shower. She glanced at her shoulder for a moment. The bandage still wrapped around her bruise and cuts, but the ice pack - which melted into a water bag over night - lay on the bed silently. She picked at the little safety pin that tucked the bandages together and pulled it out, removing the bandages on her shoulder. The bruise still looked bad, all blue and black. She sighed, then got to her feet.

Passing out almost immediately last night, she had not been able to dry anything properly. She bent down and grabbed her military bag, dropping it on the damp bed. She pulled out the set of clothes she had in there, which were still soaked wet. She groaned once more. This didn't seem like such a good morning. She scattered all her things on the floor below, letting them rest separately as they dried, but grabbed a towel, the clothes she had on and the clothes from her bag, then went to the bathroom to shower. She dumped all her clothes into the sink after undressing with the ones she had on, left water to run over it then cleaned herself up with a nice, hot shower.

After feeling completely refreshed, she exited with a towel wrapped around her thin body. She turned the faucet off and began to squeeze the water out of her clothes as well as she could. After, she changed into the clothes she had on earlier, wanting to keep her other set of clothes in her room to dry off. Dressed in her incredibly damp clothes, she made her way back to her room. The clothing stuck to her skin immediately, her white bustier top becoming almost transparent and showing off the black tube bra she wore underneath and her thin body. She lay her clothes out as well before she made her way out. She stood by the hall for a moment, not really knowing what to do. She could smell breakfast, but she wasn't exactly planning to grab something to eat. However, her thirst did seem some tending to. So she made her way across the long hall way.

She spotted Bryan ahead, and immediately began blushing as she realized her current state. Wet clothes, wet hair, see-through top. Her reddened cheeks were probably really obvious on her pale skin. She gulped and hung her head down, beginning to walk briskly past Bryan and the group he was with.

With a final spoonful of breakfast into his mouth, he swallowed and smiled. That was delicious! He lokved home-cook meals. They were always the best. It made him forget the sadness for a moment, as he just sat there, quite unnoticed and enjoying his meal alone. He reached forward and began gulping down the cold glass of water in front of him. As he did, he glanced around. More people had come in. The other counselor, Julius was there, he gave him a small wave as he drank. Then he noticed a girl walk in after him, but what caught his eye was a certain blonde boy who took a seat not too far away. Tucker practically choked on his water, lunging forward as he coughed. Was... was that boy just wearing a towel???

He sat up, clearing his throat, as he looked at the young boy. It was Richie. Richie, again? What was it with Richie? Sure, the boy must have been incredibly nice and sweet but Tucker always seemed to have really... awkward moments with the student. Eyeing at his bare chest, he looked away immediately, flustered. He couldn't look at the kid. Wasn't it really inappropriate? At a table?

It probably wasn't his place but he stood up from the table with his head hung down and approached the young boy. He glanced at him quickly, he knew exactly what he was going to say to the boy originally, something between the lines of "please get dressed" or "what happened to your clothes" but when he did look at him, he noticed how he looked a little unhappy. A pang of guilt fell on him. He really didn't like being awkward with people - especially other campers. So he looked away, scratching the back of his neck before he cleared his throat and said, "Hey uh... Richie, right? Are you alright?"

Their conversation was interrupted by a cracking voice, "Um - Bryan? Noëlle?" Bryan looked over his shoulder again and saw a girl with long, blonde hair. Maria was her name, and Bryan recognized her from the previous years at camp. She didn't look to good at all; Bryan frowned.

"Can someone tell me what's going on?" she asked, wincing.

"Maria . . . Are you alright?" Bryan asked, making his way over to her, "You don't look too good," He wondered what was wrong with her. She had gone to the clinic yesterday, hadn't she? He remembered seeing her there, for sure. "We're at the inn that couple led us to yesterday, don't you remember? The ferry sank and we all almost died . . ."

He heard other footsteps approaching and looked over Maria's shoulder to see a blushing Elisa in wet clothes. O - Oh . . . They were see-through. Bryan bit his lip, blushing as well, and returned his attention to the girl in front of him as Elisa made her way passed the group. She should really get into more dry clothing . . .

Adrian waved Sophie off. He already knew that Sophie was strange, but hey, everyone's strange in their own way. Adrian took a large sip of his orange juice. For some reason, Sophie gave him the impression of an apathetic nanny, only watching children hurt themselves for her amusement. Wait a second, a nanny?

Adrian gave Sophie a double take. He left out a long snicker, nearly choking on the juice. "A nanny, my ass. She would be as worth as a box of rocks." He muttered quietly, smiling slyly, "That just goes to show that I care for life better than she does, and I could care less to people I don't actually like. She doesn't seem to have any regards or standards."

Adrian cleared his throat, and continued, "As I was asking, what are you favorite colors?"

It had seemed that he was only addressed by his eyepatch and though he was quite used to it he wondered if an eyepatch was so goddamn unusual to these blasted teens. Closing his eye as he held his temple, Julius shook his head. "daaaaaang I'd be much more nicer to be address on my dashing dazzling looks other than this silly old eyepatch" Julius said as he flicked the bangs of hair covering his head "I mean look at me, Its totally mind boggling that my eyepatch gets more notice than my own self...hell I'd dare say the damn thing probably gained more ladies than me....After all I can't friggin wink...it just makes people wonder if I'm blinking or winkin" Julius said nonchalantly with a smile.

Letting out a chuckle, Julius grabbed himself a plateful of food and head over to sit with the group and let out a low whistle "Now putting away all that seriousness aside I'm glad to see you kiddos doing well" Julius said. Of course he never really knew some of them, but the fact that they came from a sinking ferry meant that some trauma might occur. Some of these people were quite familiar to him, but he barely knew any body at the camp.

Taking a bite of his Canadian bacon, Julius swallowed and looked over at the group "...in fact this place is quite lively..." Julius nonchalantly taking another bite of his bacon. He wondered how these kids were truly faring and wondered if they were actually scared. He felt quite sorry for these kids and all he truly wished was to get them safe at home. Their parents surely must have been freaking out after hearing about the ferry incident.

After the counselor left, Quentin remembered why he was there and turned toward Noëlle. He became worried all over again when he saw her face, and it showed on his. That's right. She was crying. The clinic . . . He would have gotten more angry speculating, so he stepped toward her instead.

He struggled for words. He didn't want to embarrass her, but he couldn't mask his concern. "Will you be okay?" He wanted to step into her room, but he didn't risk it. Not yet. He brushed a strand of her hair back and looked her in eye instead. She seemed distant despite his affections and replied that she was okay. He frowned, but backed off. Maybe later.

He bid her farewell and walked down the hall to his room. He made it without a fuss and called for someone to take his clothes to the wash. While getting undressed, he emptied his pockets and counted the things he had left. A few coins, a ruined MP3 player, and . . . A vial of dubious quality. He laughed and didn't stop for a good minute. It seemed this bottle would bring him back every time something happened at this former camp.

He handed his clothes off at the door and jumped into the shower. He felt much better when he got out and only then noticed the candles and continuous sweet smell in the room. He disregarded them. He picked up his Cupid's Brew and laid on the bed, thinking of which to use it on first. He entertained himself with thoughts of how Noëlle would act under its influence while waiting for his clothes to get back.

"Hey uh... Richie, right? Are you alright?"

Richie looked up as he heard a concerned voice loom over him. He made eye contact with the older man, and blushed slightly. After a second or two, he looked away from Tucker's eyes to avoid any awkwardness. He didn't want to seem rude either, so he quickly decided he'd go with the stretching option. This was one of Richie's most common "eye contact avoidance" moves; this came especially in handy as those awkward family dinner parties. Some other popular ones were the brief eye rub, the closed eyed yawn, and the abrupt, fake cough. All of them seemed to work pretty well for Richie whenever he was in a tight squeeze.

The blonde-haired boy arched his back over the top of the chair, which lifted the front two legs of the chair ever so slightly. He became a pro at all his tactics, but this on especially; too many times he had stretched to far back and ended up falling backwards in a fit of panic and shock. Those were not fun, and were counterintuative to his goal of making the atmosphere as comfortable as possible. As he leaned back, he replied, "Y-yeah, I'm fine thanks... just a little tired and chilly is all. How are you, T-Tucker...?" He, obvioisly, was nervous around his crush and it resulted in a stammered speech. That coupled with blushing were tell-tale signs of affection, and Richie wasn't sure what Tucker's orientation was. No matter what it was though, it would still be super awkward... especially considering what happened on the taxt ride to the ferry.

Gently easing the chair back on all fours, Richie added, "Would you like to sit?" He smiled geuinely at the man as he patted the open chair next to him. Hopefully he'd accept, and they could have a nice, enlightining conversation. Maybe he could even learn about his crush too: what he liked in a partner, what his type was, and maybe even a confession... Oh he was getting ahead of himself. But still, the daydream made the boy even perkier!

Oh, he just had to say yes...!

Lexi saw Stratana and waved at her. She would have called out, but her mouth was full of too much food. Lexi was happy to see that Stratana got her note, although seeing her in those clothes was... It was weird... She almost wanted to cry out; "I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS!" but she didnt. It would have attracted too much attention. Lexi could not decide whether to approach her or not, since Stratana had seen her.

After waiting a few moments, Lexi decided "screw it" and approached her anyway. "Hey Stratana!" She greeted, "sleep well?"

Up in the hotel room, Natalie looked at Sebastian. "Sebastian, are you okay?" She asked with worry.

This guy had taken care of her, and he didnt have to. And now, he seemed... Sadder. Natalie felt guilty. If she had kept her big mouth shut, she would have spared him his grief. She got closer to him. "If you need anything, let me know, okay? You took care of me last night, now I'll take care of you." The young girl smiled. She wasnt one to lie at all. Natalie meant what she said and she said what she meant. She was always faithful 100%. "For now, what say we get breakfast? I'm hungry..." Natalie put a hand on her growling belly.

ooc: really really sorry 'bout the post leaving for tennis cry

Tucker swallowed nervously at the boy's offer. He really didn't want anything awkward with the kid, and he did seem very sweet! He nodded, still unable to look at the boy, but pulled the seat next to him and sat down. He glanced at the boy's face, not looking down past his collar bones. "I'm fine." he said with a smile. "Just a little tired too, didn't get much sleep haha." he cleared his throat as he ran a hand through his red locks, he was kind of hesitant on continuing the conversation but he eventually said "I-if you're chilly you should probably put some clothes on... What happened to them anyway?"

    WEATHERFOGGY 52°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 6/18/2013 - 10:23AM ✖『DAY』 04

He was just kinda . . . there. Do you know why he's in front of your door?

Noëlle shook her head back and forth, watching as Bryan poked Quentin's shoulder and smiling a little. He stayed there, hunched down in front of him, but looked back to her.

HI - I . . . I wanted to talk to you today. Here's probably not a good place, though . . . I think I saw some benches in the garden. There, in a little bit? You must be hungry, so you should definitely get something to eat downstairs.

He wanted to talk to her? ... It took all of her willpower not to make her surprise and joy evident on her face. Instead, she put full focus towards Quentin's rousing voice.

    Hu - What? Oh. Oooh. Good morning . . . Noëlle, and you are . . . ?

Good morning, Quentin! she replied, still a bit jubilantly.

She listened to their interaction patiently, cheeks flushing at the mention of his worry. Well, it wasn't too far off ... A lot had happened ... Then her thoughts drifted somewhere and she turned back towards the doorway, leaning against the wall and staring off of the side of the staircase before them. Her stomach rumbled.

Meet me there after you eat?

She turned back towards her brother with a nod and a smile. Before she could confirm verbally, Maria appeared, asking what was going on. Bryan answered before she could and she let the conversation play on, letting Quentin know she would be alright, and skipping down to the breakfast room.

She quickly sat and made a plate, letting her mind wander again in an attempt to suppress the giddiness Bryan had caused.

Man ... It had been so long since anyone confessed to her, and she had been so distracted with her pathetic attempts to blur the lines of 'sibling-ship', with Bryan that the thought of others -- Quentin, Maria -- having some kind of interest in her made her feel normal, less like an incestuous freak of nature.

    Ack ...

The food was good and reminded her of holidays at home. Before she could finish it though, the slightly-grating voice of last night rang out over the sound of a hand bell.

Cane stepped into the breakfast room with a cigarette tucked being her ear. Two long, spiraling curls of her dark hair swayed free, while the rest was braided down her back. Noëlle wondered it if was real.

She wore brown boots laced up to her knees, a long, billowing black skirt, and an off-white corset.

    Inappropriate.

Good mornin', kiddos. It's about time you get the hell out of my Inn. You got lucky with Patrick ... the rest Bentley ain't so friendly. If I had found you all bobbin' about in the ocean ... Well, in any case, I've been told to send you back home to ... Candlewood, was it, on the train. She paused, a smile spreading her lips and her eyes glimmering like diamond daggers. Don't worry about the tickets, not that a bunch of freeloaders like you would botha'.

Without making sure they were all done, Cane slapped the hand-bell down on the table and started to gather the dishes.

There are two scheduled trains that'll take you deadbeats home. ... What are you waiting for? Go gather yer shit and go!

xxxCane was really, really rude, but Noëlle kind of liked her -- kind of. She had an interesting personality, at least. That's why she wasn't too offended with being asked to leave. Without a word of complaint, she stood and made her way back upstairs. Her clothes were feeling a bit less damp now, but they were still uncomfortable. She regretted not asking the temperamental Cane if there was some kind of dryer, last night.

------ time skip idrk how to go about dis that's a lot of ****ing time ------

The gather-her-belongings mission didn't last too long, since she only had her bag. When she made it back downstairs with the heavy, damp thing swung over her good shoulder, she plopped the room key on the counter and stepped outside into the cool, foggy air.

A somewhat harsh breeze stung at her stocking covered thighs and made her sigh out. It was supposed to be summer, but a nice cup of hot chocolate would be excellent.

She hadn't been in the best of moods lately, but she was beginning to crave social interaction, and she was eager to speak with Bryan. Too much time alone and too many thoughts running through her mind hadn't been good for her. She was growing a bit cynical ...

When the pale orange and pink trolley arrived, she entered alone, placing her bag on the seat beside her -- reserving it. She had never been on a trolley before. It was a bit childish, but it seemed like a lot of fun, and she wanted to sit by Bryan during it. The guy driving the thing was a cherry-cheeked fellow with moss green eyes and dimples. He welcomed them all inside cheerfully, and took off as soon as everyone was inside (with Bryan placed beside her. Squee, and whatnot.)

Say, children, we have a bit of time before your train arrives. Want to take a tour?

She stayed quiet, but the rest of them pretty much agreed to exploring Bentley. She couldn't be so ... eager. Not after the other day.

Let's see ... Tourist friendly areas ... Ohoho!! The candy store, how about! Yeah!

He didn't really wait for their reply, before he was was turning down a loosely paved street and deeper into the fog. Noëlle wondered how he could possibly see, and why there were so few cars. Every few minutes they were stopping for a pedestrian or slowing down for a small group of people. It made her feel a bit sick, and a little nervous, so she subconsciously clutched the sleeve of Bryan's shirt, taking long, shallow breaths.

They drove for maybe fifteen minutes, excluding the stopping and going, before they stopped in front of a circular structure. Bright, shiny, glass-looking letters curved on top if the building spelling 'DREAMER'S CANDIES!' The air smelled of warm sugar and bubblegum, and a music-box like tinkering played from two mega-phone shaped speakers.

I'm good, good, good friends with the family who owns this place -- 'The Dreamers', they call themselves, so I am fantastically positive I can work out a way to get you guys some free snacks for the road! Come on kids! The man got out of the trolley, and literally danced his way to the automatic doors of Dreamer's Candies.

    Tentatively, Noëlle followed ...
