Lorenzo put his handheld system back in his pocket.
he tried to look for a water fountain at the circle.
"Please don't tell me that there's not any water here" mumbled Lorenzo.
The temperature has been increasing since he's got here.
after a while he gave up looking for the fountain.
"i'll just sit down in the shade"
Lorenzo sat down on a bench under an apple tree.
as time passed by Lorenzo got tired and fell asleep on the bench, dropping his handheld system.

The Camp Circle came into view and Noëlle sighed, a gentle flood of memories filling her chest with a reminiscent warmth. The warmth only spread when she laid eyes on Bryan, who stood smiling just a few feet away and making conversation with another counselor (?). Eager not to appear eager, she walked past him and gave him a friendly wave before disappearing into the crowd of students with Jacqui, sitting towards the edge of the wide circle.

Yes, the Camp Circle was, quite literally, a giant circle made of the occupants of the camp. They all gathered around, huddling close in the center, right across from the cabins and dining hall / loft. To the left of Noëlle stood tall, thick trees and plants--the border of a much darker, deeper forest. To the right, wide lake shimmered; ripples sparkling in the sunlight.

Suddenly, a deep bass came blasting through tall speakers. They had set up a mini stage in the center of the circle, like they sometimes did, right where the campfire would normally be. Jacqui's face looked like a startled rabbit, but those who had been around before simply started to cheer. Noëlle crossed her legs beneath her and scanned the crowd, letting her eyes linger on Bryan for a moment before diverting. A few seconds later, a tall, scruffy looking guy with a baseball cap maneuvered his way to the stage, tapping on a headset to make sure it was working before speaking.

WELCOME CAMPERS -- NEW AND REVISITING! ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR THE TIME OF YOUR LIVES?

Noëlle shook her head back and forth, slightly embarrassed. It was meant to pump everyone up, but it was a bit cheesy. Still, the younger bunch -- like Jack -- were highly responsive to it.

The camp leader on the stage was named Kevin. He was a regular here, around 24 in age. Noëlle wondered what exactly he did as a living.

Well you've come to the RIGHT PLACE!

He reached behind him, into a basket he had taken up on the stage with him, and hauled up an armful of bags of marshmallows, tossing them out into the crowd and earning more cheers. She didn't bother trying to catch one, but Jack was bending over backwards for one.

Alright, be careful now!... It's nice to see you guys here on this beautiful Saturday evening. My name is Kevin and I'm going to be basically filling you in about Camp Fortissimo! Basically, there are a few things that are standard here.

The first is meal time. Everyone will be treated to breakfast, lunch AND dinner. Your camp counselor will let you know what times. You must attend all three meal times and all group's will have their attendance taken before and after. Then, there are camp meets like this one. When you hear the chime over the intercoms, you are to meet here at the Camp Circle. These can be random or scheduled. Lastly, there are mandatory camp activities! We won't spoil the fun quite yet, but these are various camp-wide actives that we'll all be participating it at once. Your counselor will lead you to these activities!

Don't worry, though, a lot of what you do here will be your choice. We've got tons of stuff. Hiking, karaoke, canoeing, pottery, swimming, archery, horse-back riding, volleyball, fishing, laser tag, painting, gardening, yadda yadda...And, of course, we wouldn't be Camp Fortissimo without MUSIC! Just head on down to the music hall if you would like some practice time. You'll have to sign up for a room in advanced though.

Right now we're going to sort you into cabins! Take one of the cards. It will have a letter on it and that letter is the cabin you're in. Once you've gotten your card, you can head on over to your cabin and get settled. We'll be having dinner later, and then we'll have Super Cabin Fun Time! Be safe guys, and look forward to one heck of a summer!

Kevin left the stage with high energy as the box circled around.

While standing in the circle Allen's eyes began to wander. It was not long before he saw the person who held his current desire, and just in time to see her fall. At the sight a small smile formed on his lips but was quickly erased before he made his way to her. It had been too late to help the girl up or greet her on the spot but he put on his best worried expression.

"Are you alright?" he asked, dropping his own bag next to his feet. Maybe she wanted to forget that the fall ever happened, but it had been such a perfect opener. In fact he did not know if he would have been able to suddenly approach for a conversation like this without it. Only if they ended up in the same cabin would he have been able to speak to Pierce so easily on the first day.

However, while waiting for a reply music started and the speaker came out. He still listened for her words, but his eyes went to the stage. This was his first time at the camp so it was all new to him, taking the boy off guard. How loud...and annoying. Nonetheless he smiled while listening.

At the end of it he waited for the box to make its way to them, grabbing a card when his turn presented itself. Cabin A. After a peek at Pierce's it would seemed that he was not lucky enough to share one, but this may just work better like this. He grabbed his bag and made his way there, not wishing to overstay his welcome, not yet anyway. "Have fun."

So this was the guy's first year. Maybe if he had been here before she could stick a name to the face, like for Tucker who seemed to be coming back from a run. It was only her second year coming to this camp but apparently that guy grew up here or something along those lines. She wondered if she would continue to come here for years to come or not...

"Ready as ever." The reply came with another smile but beyond that she would leave the other two to chat among themselves, as fading in the background sounded nice right about now.

That desire was then aided by the start of introductions where no one could question her silence for it was required. All focus would be on Kevin and his speech.

Now...if she remembered correctly she was in charge of Cabin C so after grabbing her things, and giving a bye to the others, she made her way there to greet the students once they came.

As Alex continued to follow the crowd, he decided to look around at the camp. For the most part not much had changed. Sure there were a few noticeable differences here and there but nothing too drastic. During the silence when his iPod changed songs, he turned towards the other campers. Not many of them were worth mentioning or him going to the trouble of failing to talk to them. At least, most of them were like that. There was one girl who stuck out to him, only because she was looking at him strangely. Still he turned his dull eyes back to the front and continued walking.

Maybe you should talk to her.

Said the voice at the back of his head, it did like showing up at times like this. Maybe he would, if of course he could get over his shyness. But he had little motivation to actually deal with that problem now so he would ignore the voice like he always did. Though he knew that it'd be back eventually, it always came back. It was difficult to get away from something that is a part of you. If he could, then he would've done it a long time ago.

Once Alex saw part of the camp circle, he dug his hand into his pocket and paused the music that was playing. The headphones would stay in though; he always kept them in his ears whenever possible. With nothing playing in his ears, he wasted no time taking himself a seat and waiting in silence.

WELCOME CAMPERS -- NEW AND REVISITING! ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR THE TIME OF YOUR LIVES?

Well you've come to the RIGHT PLACE!

Out of reflex he caught the marshmallow tossed into the crowd, who was he to turn to a free marshmallow, even if it was a regular camp treat. When he started to talk about what they would be doing at the camp, he started to zone in and out in a weird pattern. It was like after he said something important he stopped listening and somehow managed to pay attention again when it was important again.

When the basket came by him, he reached in a pulled out a letter. A huh. That only left the question of who he was going to be paired up with.

    ??MOODINDIFFERENTOOCMUSIC IS VERY LOUD

Erik had arrived the day before. He liked to get there with plenty of time to prepare and that was always one of the best ways to do it. He had spent the night tapping away at the black and white keys on the upright piano at the camp, fine tuning his already perfect skill. With no one around to bother him, he had no care about whether or not it was against the rules to smoke in the building, let alone on the camp grounds. The cigarette had hung limp between his lips as his body swayed in time with the music. He could feel it pulsing through him and it felt as wonderful as it always did when he played. Dark bangs covered his eyes, but they did not hinder his ability. Erik didn't need to see in order to play. All that his senses relied on were touch and sound. He could easily play with his eyes closed.

He stood out on the docks as the afternoon sun beat down on his skin. It was an exceptionally hot day for the first day of camp, but that was no bother. Erik just finished a quick swim and his hair dripped wet onto the shirt he was wearing. His skin glistened from the water that clung there and the reflection of the sun's rays. He should have been with the others awhile ago, but with how hot and beautiful it was out, there was no way he could go without a swim to cool off before everything kicked into high gear. He slipped his feet back into the sneakers he brought with him before walking off the dock. The sounds of his footsteps echoed against the wood and waves splashed around him. Their lake was a nice one that rarely had problems with weeds or stank.

Erik made it back to the circle just as Kevin was coming on the stage. He liked the guy, honestly, but sometimes his upbeat, woo summer camp!, personality was too much to handle. It was especially high on the first day. Granted, it was to gear up all the younger campers, but still. He ran his hand through his damp messy brown hair and let his gaze roam over all those in the circle. The counselor's were spread out in different sections of the circle and he gave a slight head nod to the few that noticed him looking. He nodded his head on occasion as he listened to Kevin go on about the scheduling and whatnot. He pulled his camper list out of his back pocket and checked the names. He had his stuff set up in there already. It would probably be easiest for his campers if he just met them there, so as soon as Kevin finished his speech and the cards began to get passed out, he slipped through the masses and began to walk to the line of cabins.

He pulled open the screen door, inhaling the wooden scent. Sadly, smoking would have to be done out in the woods now when there were no students around. How sad. Erik sighed and ran his hand through his hair once more before taking a seat on the one individual bed in the room. The campers would be in bunks, but the counselor's had their own separate twin bed. It was so much smaller than the one at home, not to mention less comfortable, but after a few nights the annoying differences would become a thing of the past. He leaned his back against the headboard and kicked his feet up onto the bed. His hands were folded behind the back of his head and he smiled at the empty wall across from him. His campers would be here shortly and buzzing about the new summer and getting settled in.

Everyone moved closer to each other, and eventually stood shoulder-to-shoulder, huddled in somewhat of a circle. Feeling uncomfortable, Emalynn slipped out to the back and listened to what the camp leader, Kevin, had to say from there. It wasn't like he was mumbling, she could here perfectly fine where she was standing. In fact, she found it amusing that everyone was willing to sacrifice their own personal space.

When it came to choosing letters for their cabins, Emalynn wasn't particularly enthusiastic. There were people who rushed closer to the box to pick their cabins first. She was glad that she had stood in the back because the people in front of her were just being shoved aside. It was ridiculous.

Not like what order you choose your cabins affects anything. What are you even wasting your energy for?

After a few minutes, the box made its way to Emalynn and right away she reached her hand in to pick out the first piece of paper she touched. Before looking at it, she handed the box over to to the person on her left, then stood up, grabbed her bags and started walking.

Now outside, Emalynn paused and took a look at the small slip of paper. D. Cabin D. The girl walked over to the line of cabins and searched for the one she was assigned to. When she found it, Emalynn took a moment just to observe the outside. It wasn't very different from any other cabin. Not like she was expecting anything particularly different. They were camping after all. Typical.

The girl sighed and stepped into Cabin D. From the door, she could see someone else in the room. Because he was sitting on the twin bed, Emalynn assumed that he was a counsellor. First impressions were always important, especially if they were of someone of authority, so she quietly fixed her hair, before he noticed that she had entered.

"Hello, I'm Emalynn Andrews, and I was assigned to this cabin," she introduced.

Through the whole introduction, Bryan couldn't help but smile. This felt pretty great, and most of his nervousness about who would be in his cabin was shrunk to the back of his mind. While listening, he found himself stealing glances at . . . a few others, but mostly kept his attention on Kevin.

When the marshmallows were tossed out, Bryan actually caught a few of them with a laugh and then passed them to any campers who didn't get some, mostly the newer kids who were way nervous about their first summer here. When Kevin came down from the stage, passing around what would have their cabin campers on it, Bryan wondered if he would share with anyone he . . .

"Here you are, kiddo," Kevin told him with a grin, "Good luck!"

He looked down at the note. Cabin E with . . . Ah. He recognized all of these names. He smiled at the first one. Well, then it was time to get going! Bryan didn't wait to find his campers, but he headed out to Cabin E to be ready to greet them. Before he left out, he stopped by Noëlle, "Hey little sis," he said with a smile, grabbing her by the hand and swinging her into a hug, "Are you excited for this summer?" he asked her, setting her down, and then stayed to talk for a bit. "It sucks that you're not in my cabin -- I was kind of hoping for that! I guess we'll see each other during activities, though."

After talking to her for a few minutes, Bryan bid his sister goodbye with a kiss on the forehead and began to head off. Deciding to jog, Bryan was to his cabin in no time, setting his stuff down that he brought to the Camp Circle, and sat in a chair, popping one of the three marshmallows that he had. He smiled brightly at the thought of being a counselor.

Setting down both the packs, Sean sat and listened with half an ounce of interest to what it was Kevin had to say; the marshmallows didn't hurt his attention span either. Waiting until all announcements were over, he received his letter with a smirk. His immature mind connected Cabin D with something more vulgar, and not only that, but his mind started to run through pranks already, with the card barely in his hand for two minutes. Thinking to himself, he mindlessly picked up both the bags he had brought with him to that spot; including Stratana's...
Making his way to his designated cabin, Sean opened it to see two persons; one of which was a girl. Sean eyed her up and down from behind subtly, and then looked to the other person. He had just come in to here "Emalynn" being said, and added gruffly, "Sean. 'Sup?" Settling in, he tossed both bags to the floor and surveyed the bunks; not too bad, but they looked a little short for him, and there was no way he'd be doing top bunk. Pretentiously, he made a place for himself on one of the lower bunks within the room by throwing one bag, his own, on top of the bed, and the other, Stratana's under it; without realizing he was tossing around technically stolen goods. 'First matter of business', he thought to himself, finding an open area on the floor, he fell face forward and caught himself with his hands before faceplanting into the wooden boards, "I gotta do my evening exercises." He advised, and immediately set to work on push-ups, counting upwards as he rapidly performed rep after rep. His usual target was 100 per set, which was of little bother to him to perform. Already, he had passed 20 and was quickly counting up.

Stratana waited with nervous ambition as the groups departed, leaving few enough people to dare to pick up her letter. She took it without so much as budging her rotator cuffs in any given direction. Why did she have to sweat so much during hot weather!? A third party might have argued: Karma, but Stratana was not quite well aware of her cruel nature. With her letter in hand, it only took a quick glance to get the clue she was in Cabin B. However, all that was irrelevant as she booked it for the showers, since she knew where she was headed afterwards. She was in such a rush, she had completely forgotten she wasn't weighed down with her backpack.
A year of Fortissimo's Music camp had taught her where the showers would be, but she had not been in the mood to guess her cabin later. All the same, the path there was generally, and thankfully clear as she stormed into the female shower section. Finding an empty stall right away, she stripped out of her damp, clingy clothing and hopped right into a shower. While she was in a rush to be cleansed, she had not lost her senses though, as she stood off to the side and away from the range of the shower head as she turned the water on at full force.
Words could not describe her serenity as she bathed in the steadily streaming water jet. She could have stayed in there all night, if she hadn't been so tired. 'Better make this quick...' She set to work as she felt her muscles still feeling jell-oey from earlier.

    Sebastian Sonata
Location:Circle, Cabin E<>Clothes<>Song<>Mood: Content<>OOC: For those realizing that Sebastian thinks a lot: this is no accident.
A handful of marshmallows squished in his grasp, Sebastian coolly took his letter with the "Cabin E" below his name. Faintly, Sebastian chuckled at heart; this had been his cabin his first year, and so it appeared he was going out the way he came. What's more, he saw the name "Bryan Chambers" under "Counselor", and noted the fact he was sharing the cabin with two girls. Both of these facts were ones Sebastian had not quite a clear idea of what he precisely thought about either. Bryan Chambers had always been something of a compatriot and one of the spare few Sebastian could really talk to at camp; another person included Bryan's younger sister, Noëlle. As for the girls, it wasn't the first time he was bunking with the opposite sex, but sometimes things could get awkward. Usually, this would be in the way of barbed compliments he wasn't certain if they were meant to be more barb or compliment; such as it was duly and frequently noted he was a handsome head on top of narrow shoulders and a slight frame. Of course, he'd bulked up some since last summer, but only by a few pounds, and all that hard work in his only favored sport, Weight training (He didn't have to socialize in a gym unless he wanted; no necessary contact.), had done little more than to make him much less bony and more normal in size. At any given rate though, despite his tone, he was still rather svelte.
Whistling the piping part of the bridge from "Send me on my way", he made his familiar way toward Cabin E as he contemplated. Now that he had carelessly dug up the tune from the farthest reaches in his mind, he couldn't get it out of his head, but this was not unfortunate; the tune pumped him up and got him excited to finally being settled in camp, or at least soon enough he would be. Then there was just the Treasure hunt to deal with. Sebastian had secretly wished he'd have been sharing a cabin with Sean again this year, because Sebastian knew full well how cruelly the bulky jock could manage himself in competitions. On the other hand, Sebastian didn't think he'd miss the pranks Sean always liked to play on those most available to him; his cabin-mates.
Eventually, he reached Cabin E, and taking in its unchanged appearance, Sebastian entered the cabin, swinging his bag to the floor as soon as he entered. Sure enough, there was Bryan. He was seriously beginning to reconsider applying for a Counselor position, so that he could step from student to adviser following his next year. The camp fed his imagination, so frankly, he'd miss it; even if Kevin was a little "campy" about the camp introductions.
"Hey, Bryan; long-time-no-see." Sebastian noted to the pre-arrived tenant. "Now that you're a part in charge, do you know the time when we eat?" Sebastian asked leisurely, this being the first thing on his mind while he was ravenous, as his stomach did front flips. Just because he was thin did not mean he didn't eat; that was his fast metabolism at work. Plus, Sebastian wanted to skip the formalities of Counselor-Camper introductions; it was strange how people who knew someone else years felt the need to introduce themselves once they counseled the other person for the first time.

Luckily for Julius he received his book back, but at he moment he really needed it for what was to come. As he began to read the through the book like a child cramming for a final exam at the last minute, the sudden announcement from Kevin caught his attention and just listening to this man made his eye twitched "...what the hell?! I thought this was a musical camp? oh god...just what the hell kind of a camp is this...Horseriding?....okay I can probably accept that but Archery?! no way am I going to let some damn kids run around singing while shooting arrows and trying to murder one another" Julius muttered to himself as he listened to the words.

Things were becoming far worse but what he noticed next only made things worse "wait the bloody moment...I'm going to be dealing with a group...alone?" Julius muttered as he closed his eye. He assumed that this was going to be a group thing, that somebody would be there to fix and of his screwups....but nope...all alone...forever alone with these kids. Rubbing his temples and letting out a loud groan, Julius just decided to do whatever he could and if he screwed up horribly... well at least he would get one of those golden stars that said you tried.

And so Julius was informed of the cabin he was in charge of and headed off to meet the kiddos he was in charge of. Things could go either way and he hoped he did not receive any assholes in his group. This summer was sure to be quite the long one but Julius had no other choice but to persevere...and dodge any musical arrows headed his way. The cabin that he was in charge of was very close by so Julius entered first. He turned a chair to face the door and sat on it. With arms crossed and eye closed he awaited those that would join his team.

Sophie closely observed the other people who gathered around her, and she forced, carelessly, her way to the front so that the was able to stay. It was amusing because there were boys and girls who glared at her without actually seeing her face, and when she turned to look at them, some of them looked horrified. She couldn't have gotten much more pleasure out of that than she had.

"Please, I beg of you to say something," she asked them, a genuine smile plastered on her creamy face, lighting up her white-blue eyes. When no reply was made to her, she laughed at them and walked towards Kevin to get her cabin set. She hoped they were people worth messing with. Cabin C.

After making her way away from the Circle, she smiled in passing at Bryan and Noëlle , two siblings who she had encounter in her previous stays at the camp. She greeted the both of them, but didn't stay to chat. She could play on Noëlle later, maybe.

Half of her hoped that she would be the first person to the cabin, but then she saw Samantha, and sighed. She looked tired. Sophie smiled. "Good day, Samantha," she said, immediately claiming one of the top bunks and climbing up the ladder to lay belly-flat on the bed, "Seems I will be in your cabin. Exciting, hmm . . . ?"

She didn't expect and answer, but she was looking forward to the sort of reaction she would get, and waited for the others to come.

Sam reveled in the mass chaos around him as the students gathered for Camp Circle. The screaming, shouting, shoving, confusion and bundle of walking nerves that were the newbies...they all gave him a rush of pleasure. His hazel eyes followed a brightly colored girl's t-shirt for a while until his eyes lit upon Tucker, the center of his latest fantasies. As if his daydreams weren't rated R already, he watched Tucker wipe sweat from his temples and already he could imagine seven ways he could make Tucker sweat just like that without any heat at all.

Closing his hanging mouth, Sam brushed his hand through his bright red hair, and took up a cross legged sitting position next to...who else? Bill-from-accounting. Slapping a hand on Chad's back, he gave the visibly shaking boy half a smile and struggled to keep his gaze away from Tucker. It was a treat to be able to see him so soon today and he wasn't about to start spoiling himself by staring.

His eyes flicked, again, towards Tucker talking to who he hoped was just another counselor. The last year he'd come, Sam hadn't gotten a chance to talk to Tucker...this year, he was sure it would be different. This year..he'd make a point of it. Removing his gaze from Tucker as deafening music came from the speakers, Sam let go of his warm smile and sunk into his natural: '****'s given = none' attitude.

WELCOME CAMPERS -- NEW AND REVISITING! ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR THE TIME OF YOUR LIVES?

Oh yeah...time of his life trying to get a guy to change his preference...

Well you've come to the RIGHT PLACE!

He sure as hell hoped so.

Sam's interest peaked when marshmallows were thrown into the crowd. Hopping up, he snatched one out of the air in his mouth. It was going to be a damn good day. His right hand flicked out and grabbed another of the white, fluffy treats soaring past his head. Stuffing the first into his cheek with his tongue, Sam closed his hand around the marshmallow and made a show of blowing into the side of his hand and bubbles came out from the ring he created with his index finger and thumb.

A few NPC girls sitting around him clapped. Winking at them, Sam took the box moving around and drew out a card. Suppressing the urge to suddenly do a card trick, Sam glanced at it and shrugged. Cabin B. Was that B for Bad@ss? Probably not. Picking up his things, Sam waved bye to Chad-from-accounting and tramped off towards the cabin. How much he wanted to lay down and sleep~.

The voice caught her off guard. Pierce's gaze shifted to the source of the voice that disturbed her thoughts. Her cheeks turned red with embarrassment as she realized who it was. ❝Y-yeah,❞ she cleared her suddenly too dry throat, ❝Thanks Allen.❞ Her knuckles turned white as she clutched the strap of her duffle bag closer to her body. She wanted to say something else to him--what, she wasn't sure. Talking to people was not her strong suit--, but music began to blast through the speaker system and the head counselor came on stage.

Kevin started to go through all the usual information that they did every year. She relaxed slightly as everyone became more energized and chatted enthusiastically about what they would be doing. Pierce turned to Allen awkwardly as they began to hand out the cards with cabin numbers on them. She thought he had glanced over her shoulder at her card, but wasn't given the opportunity to check for sure. Allen bid her goodbye and grabbed his bag before running off in the direction of the cabins. Pierce was left standing there waving goodbye at his fleeting figure.

After another moment she began to walk carefully in the direction of the cabins.

When she reached the house shaped building with a large B painted above the door, she stopped for a minute to look at it. The cabins were just as she remembered. Her counselor was Tucker. She had seen him around and he always seemed really nice, but Pierce had never actually had a real conversation with him. Then again, she never really had actual conversations with anyone. She walked up the short steps and pulled the screen door open. It squeaked and slammed shut behind her, causing Pierce to jump and lunge at the nearest bunk available.

Her heart thumped loudly in her chest and nerves caused her hands to shake. The duffle bag slid from her shoulder and thudded on the floor at her feet. Pierce curled up on the bunk and rested her head against the wooden pole that held up the bunk above her. She really hoped that the scavenger hunt would be tomorrow night. It would give her a little more time to prepare herself for the terrible nightmare that awaited. Granted, no amount of time would be enough time to prepare for camp staff and counselors dressed in costumes and jumping out from behind bushes cloaked in darkness with the sole purpose of scaring them. Pierce swallowed nervously and pulled her sticky sweaty legs closer to her body.

" AND SO IT BEGINS... "

Erik sat up straighter at the sound of the screen door opening. A young brunette girl came walking into the cabin. He smiled brightly at her. "Hello, I'm Emalynn Andrews, and I was assigned to this cabin," she introduced.

He jumped to his feet to shake Emalynn's hand just as another camper came strolling in after. "Sean. 'Sup?" Erik nodded at Sean as he proceeded to cross the distance of the room and tossed his bag on a bed.

"My name is Erik Winst and I'm your counselor for the summer. You can call me Erik. It's nice to meet the both of you." Erik ran his hand through his hair after releasing Emalynn's. His attention was drawn back to Sean as he moved to an empty space on the floor.

"I gotta do my evening exercises." the boy said as he laid down to do pushups.

Erik nodded and smirked. A small blond girl looking about thirteen came scampering into the cabin cautiously. "U-um," she started timidly, "I'm Jenna. It said I'm in cabin D."

He smiled down at her, brown eyes meeting her blue. "Erik. This is Emalynn," he pointed to the girl beside him, "and that's Sean over there doing pushups. There should be one more of you." Erik glanced out the window, but didn't see anyone on their way at the moment. "Dinner is at 5:30. We have a bit of time until then. Feel free to unpack and get settled in before we all head down to the mess hall together." His voice was deep and soothing. Hopefully he could calm any unwanted tension that they may be feeling.

"Once we are all present, we can start to get to know each other a little bit." Erik crossed the distance of the cabin and rested one foot on Sean's back, resting his elbows on his knee. "I thought you might need some extra weight to help with your workout." He smirked mischievously and applied a little extra pressure with his shoe.

Quentin stayed listless throughout his ride at the back of the bus. He was attentive now at the Camp Circle where he stood chewing on a marshmallow and watching the excited crowd. Nobody seemed to notice him here or there, but that was alright. He had been busy with a drawing that he'd later turn into a painting; unfinished products got priority.

Being last off the bus, he saw a jock type guy play a prissy redhead for a fool while he made off with her bags. Quentin had smiled at that display, but nothing else interested him just yet. One thing you have to say about redheads, they definitely stand out. He kept an eye out and twirled a pencil between his thumb and index finger while he waited to be told what to do. Unlike the girl, he was travelling lightly; his MP3 player, a sketchbook, his lute, and camping supplies were his only companions. Plus one vial of dubious quality . . . We can't forget that.

It had only been two weeks since he'd heard about the camp, but he had to admit, he was excited for it. He had researched it thoroughly; this camp was famous for hosting a variety of wild personalities, and more importantly, many people who came here went away with someone having stolen their heart if not virginity. Looking at the crowd of restless kids, he could see that it would be the perfect place to test out this potion.

Cupid's Brew. An innocuous name for something so hard to come by. He didn't have anyone in particular in mind -- in fact he didn't know anyone yet, but he was used to that. It would be used during his stay, he just didn't know when.

Having reached a decision, he pushed it from his mind and answered the call to grab a card and go to a cabin. His mind's eyes brightened as the speaker explained about camp events. He carried his small backpack and lute case with him to the spot.

When he noticed what he was doing, Quentin took his headset off at the last second and tried to hide it. The music flowed with his mood so he had forgotten about it. Now that he thought about it, he was scared of having his player stolen. At least it's cheap. And better off with the counselors than hidden in a cabin. He pulled out a card, spun back with dance in his step and read it aloud for effect. "B, eh? I should think of a nickname for it . . ."

He glanced at the crowd to see if anyone reacted to his behavior. One or two female eyes sparkled in his direction that stood out from the rest. He got a clear look at their faces and then turned away. Cabin time! Even as tuckered out as he was, he was eager to meet his bunkmates and get some time to finish his drawing.

He arrived to find two of his bunkmates already settled. Neither of them caught his eye, but Quentin nodded to them and took a bottom bunk in the far corner. He turned to them after setting his things down and addressed them.

    "Salve."

The counsellor jumped to his feet and held his hand out, smiling brightly. Eager, huh? Regardless, Emalynn followed up the gesture by shaking his hand. Before the man could introduce himself, however, another person walked into the cabin.

    "Sean. 'Sup?"

Nice introduction? Her smile lessened. From what she could see, it looked as if he did not care too much about what others thought of him. . . which rendered him almost useless to her. Even so, it was the first day of camp, and they had just met, so she did not want to be rude.

"My name is Erik Winst and I'm your counselor for the summer. You can call me Erik. It's nice to meet the both of you."

She nodded, but soon afterwards Sean dropped to the floor to do his "evening exercises." Her smiled lessened yet again. If you're going to sweat somewhere, go sweat somewhere else. She wanted to say that, but she bit her tongue to hold it back. Another girl, who looked noticeably younger than them strolled nervously into the cabin. When she introduced herself, Emalynn smiled at her. She was adorable. Erik introduced them all to each other, then continued.

"Dinner is at 5:30. We have a bit of time until then. Feel free to unpack and get settled in before we all head down to the mess hall together. Once we are all present, we can start to get to know each other a little bit."

Emalynn put her bags on the floor beside her and sat on the wood floor. She sighed. The girl could tell that this camp would be a very interesting one with her new roommates.

He smiled brightly at the two counselors, they seemed really excited about camp too!! Well, at least Bryan was - which was really nice to see since it was the young boy's first year to be a counselor. Sam on the other hand seemed a little worn out, but who could blame her? The sun didn't stop shining and the heat was crazy - but it was definitely worth it. Tucker began to glance around, looking at all the smiling faces of the students again. It really made him smile - everyone else's smile, like REALLY IT DID. The wide grin on Tucker's face had no signs of ever disappearing, not anytime soon. He looked around, at the students, at the other counselors, up at the sky and back to all the students. Everything pumped him up! He was so excited, he could barely contain it! He balled his hands into fists by his side, moving them in little jabs and punches close to his body and started running in his place impatiently, as if he didn't just have that exhausting run through the camp. "Aw God, just think another fine summer with more people and lots of fresh faces! Man! Just start already!!"
A small yelp came from behind the tall, cherry haired camp counselor as he felt his elbow hit something. He quickly turned around to face a petite, ginger haired girl wearing a sweet, laced, white top paired with denim shorts and cream-colored flats. It was a girl he met from camp the year before - it was only her second year this time. Her name was Joan Lark. The camp circle did suddenly get very cramped and crowded... He gasped, clutching her by her shoulders gently. "Oh gosh, are you okay? I'm so sorry I hit you!" Her big blue eyes blinked at his chestnut irises then her cheeks flushed a rose color - well, he face entirely was actually very red. It was obviously caused by sun burn, he remembered Joan having horridly sensitive skin and her pale complexion made it more obvious she blushed at that moment. "I-I'm okay. It's n-no problem at all... I'm sorry I was in the way." she squeaked. Tucker stared at her for a second, then laughed at what she just said before straightening up to stand properly and genuinely saying, "Silly, you weren't in the way. Don't apologize at all, I'm sorry Joan. But, are you okay? You want some water or anything? You seem really hot." He was about to reach down for his water bottle clipped to the side of his belt but then he noticed the little girl's face growing even more red in color. His expression changed at every second and went from genuinely worried then absolutely confused and finally completely flustered for he noticed what he just said. He stuttered with some 'ums' and 'errs' before he just let out a frustrated grunt and slammed both of his hands to his face. "Oh God that's not what I meant! Not at all! Ahhh Joan no just...! You just look like you need some water and some shade and something cool you know?" He exasperated, looking at her with the most troubled expression while talking very quickly. It probably worked though, Joan began to giggle and Tucker let out a sigh of relief. He took his hat from his head and placed it on hers. "Keep it, I think you need it more tha-"
Suddenly, loud loud LOUD music came from the speakers. He snapped his head towards the center of the circle and gasped happily. This was followed by Kevin, a regular to the camp who wasn't much older than he was, and a very energetic WELCOME CAMPERS -- NEW AND REVISITING! ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR THE TIME OF YOUR LIVES?
Tucker let out a really loud cheer as his eyes brightened up and his grin got even wider. It was starting!! The camp was really starting!! Complete with marshmallows in the air. He crouched slightly then leaped up into the air with his arm stretched out as he grabbed a flying bag of marshmallows. Landing, he cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled out more excited cheers before turning back to Joan. He grabbed one of her hands and placed the bag of marshmallows there before saying, "Share it with your friends and have a great time in camp! See you around!" Joan smiled and nodded then reunited with her friends close by who were happily paying attention to the introduction.
Then 21 year old turned back to his camp counselor mates and crouched down to both of their ear levels, placing a hand on their shoulders. "Well, looks like our work- no, our FUN, has begun! Heheh, that rhymed! Okay, see you two around. Good luck Bryan!" He gave them both an encouraging pat, a big smile and a wave then he snaked through the crowd muttering "excuse me" and "pardon" while sending students warm smiles. But holy canolie, there were so many students! Before he could even exit from the crowd, the cabin letter box was already being handed out and the students began dispersing. His eyes widened in worry, 'No! I planned to be there before my troopers!' but that was definitely out of question as students all around him began carrying their stuff to their own cabins and mostly just cutting in front of him. Then again, it was probably his fault too as he let them all pass in front of him which was a lot of traffic.
On the way to his cabin, he saw a young boy struggling with his luggage and offered to carry it over. He swore the little kid, who introduced himself as Chris, was a Cabin B kind of guy but he was over at some other cabin further away. It wasn't a long walk at all, and the luggage bag of the boy wasn't any problem for Tucker but he was just worried about his troopers - what he called the students he handled (he decided this before camp) - being alone in the cabin. It wasn't before long that he successfully helped out Chris, so he sprinted back to his own cabin, running as fast as he could again. 'Whole lot of running today, huh early bird?' he thought teasingly as he trotted up the steps of the cabin before opening the door with the large B on it.
Three faces greeted him. Coming prepared - at leas the day before - he could make out that the three students already at the cabin were Sam, Pierce and Quentin. He entered the room with a smiling face before exhaling a happy "Phew! I thought the room would be filled before I'd get here. Sorry for being a little late, guys!" he said a little nervously, as he looked at the three very different people. They each gave distinct auras, Pierce seemed very shy and anxious while Sam seemed quite tired but really content and Quentin seemed really cool and friendly. He clapped his hands together, "So hey Sam, Pierce and Quentin! I'm Tucker, twenty one but pretty much with the mental age of a 13 year old. I'm going to be your counselor and you guys are going to be my troopers." he grinned with two thumbs up, proud of what he coined up for his cabin before he continued with a bright smile, "I'm your Super Trooper or your leader but this is your journey and I'm just here to guide you. Now, we're going to be a really fun cabin, okay? In fact, guys and girl, let's make us the BEST Cabin, I mean we are Cabin B after all! But first let's all get settled in, wait for the others and uh, just chill out for a while. Dinner will be served in a half hour so just keep cool and if you have any questions, do ask."

A guy with an eyepatch seemed to be the adult in charge of his cabin. He never seen an empty eye socket before, how did it look? Simply asking seemed to be an easy way to go about it but it was still too early to be an asshole, especially when he was in such a good mood. Pierce had been so cute after all. That was just from a casual conversation too, which made future reactions very promising.

Either way it seemed that he had been the first student on the scene so he smiled to Mr. Eyepatch, still curious about the socket. "Nice to meet you," he hoped, "I'm Allen."

After speaking Allen had gone to place his bag on the bottom bunk of the nearest bed. It would be easier this way, because climbing down could awaken the one on the bottom whenever he would sneak out. Though only the bag was put down, it was not opened nor did he do anything else as his attention turned back to the older male. He would have to listen to what this one had to say before anything else, and his target was probably busy doing the same, so there was not many options to what to do now but to wait.

Alexandra stepped off the bus. Another summer at camp. It was warm out, which was always nice. She felt unusually relaxed, but it was probably because of the music she was listening to. Normally, she'd be freaking out because there were a lot of people she didn't know. At her school, she didn't have many friends, and she wasn't the best at making them in the first place. Deciding to take a moment to admire the beautiful scenery, she sat on a bench in the Camp Circle. Alexandra was incredibly absorbed. She closed her eyes and smiled. "Ah... so serene..." she said. She wiggled her feet to the tempo of her music, losing herself in nature.

Adrian and James both ha been coinecendentially been put in Cabin A. As they walked into the Cabin, They saw that a majority of the campers had already unpacked. Adrian put most of his stuff on the top bunk, while James put his stuff at the bottom.
"We should probably unpack later." Said James in thought-speak, "The more we wait, the less we can get dinner."
"Good point." Came Adrian's reply. They both dropped the bags off and headed out. As they walked out they heard a familiar "Hey" coming from Toni. The three walked and chatted all the way to the Dining Hall. On the way, Adrian stopped in front of the door leading to Cabin B, and Adrian stopped. James and Toni soon stopped, noticing that Adrian had stopped an looked back to him. "Uh, Adrian?" She looks in Adrian's direction. He was looking straight at a girl. She looked just like anyone, but not to Adrian. This girl, had caused his heart to let out a small, painfully familiar throb. He knew this feeling all to well. He couldn't move. He wanted to but didn't. The girl had mouse brown hair, and eyes to match. She was unpacking, and had her back turned so she could'nt see him staring.

"Well someone's in love...." James said in Adrian's head. Adrian shook his head and hid behind the outside of the doorpane. He threw a dirty look at James and Toni. James shrugged, while Toni threw the same dirty look back at him and snickered. "You are to tell no one about this!" Adrian hissed, his cheeks turning a pale pink in the fading sunlight, "I do not like hi..I mean her!" He looked flabbergasted.
"Sure Adrian." Toni whispered in a mocking tone. "You certainly don't like the opposite sex!"

Adrian's face reddened. "I never said that!" Adrian said out loud, "I just-" He cut off after he heard footsteps from the Cabin. The three take off, and they don't stop until they were at the Dining Hall. They huffed and caught their breath.
"Mind telling me your brain fantasy Adrian?" James said as he caught his breath. Adrian gave him an angry look. Toni smirked, waiting for his answer.
Finally, after 5 minutes, Adrian groaned. "Okay I like her." He said sullenly, "But I can't. I don't want the vicious cycle to repeat."

He went inside, leaving Toni and James outside. Finally, James asked, "What vicious cycle?"
Toni looked at him, looking somewhat guilty. "You don't know what made Adrian stop caring for love, have you?"she asked.
James shook his head no. Toni sighed.
"His first girlfriend, Jessi, died from Terminal Cancer in Adrian's middle school year." Toni said quietly. "That had a large impact on him. He stayed by her hospital bed, no matter how many times the nurse told him that visiting hours were over with. But it didn't stop there." She grimaced, unsure whether to say it or not. "Meridth, his second love, dumped him at the start of high school. I was there that time, and after she walked away, Adrian fainted. He never woke up until five days later."
James' eyes widened. "Brutal. Do you know why Adrian woke up after 5 days, if he so misreable?" He asked.
Toni shook her head and replied, "I haven't got a clue."

Sean grunted when the foot was placed on his back. Shortly thereafter, he grinned. "Sit down if you like, Erik. It takes a lot to stop me. Oh, and no homo." He felt it compulsory to use the derogatory term so he could place himself as far away from it as possible. That was one thing about him: he was a complete and absolute homophobe; he just didn't like the concept, so in turn, everyone who did like the concept had to be mentally inferior. "65...66....67...." He huffed, the reps starting only now to get a little tiring, as he'd done push-ups earlier that day, and the heat persisted. "Oh, and hey, Emalynn? 71...72... Did you want to be in cabin D? Huh, did you 78... want the D?" He went there with a smirk, which was admittedly charming. Sure, he knew the counselor was right there, but in his own mind, he figured, 'Well, he's a guy too, right?'

In short time, he quickened his pace and polished off his set with ease. Jumping to his feet, he gave a little bit of a jump in the air and and landed heavily, rattling the cabin a little. He perspired a little, so he wiped his face with the bottom of his shirt, revealing his sturdy midsection. The feeling of being pumped rushed through his veins as he met with Emalynn's eyes, his shirt mostly brought to his face before he covered back up. He licked his lips half for the sake of clearing away salty sweat from his lips, and half to send a message to Emalynn subtly. He even raised both his eyebrows while meeting with her eyes to cement his point.

Stratana realizes she's stuck in the shower.

    Nothing for Sebastian yet.
