    DAY 5 1/4DATE JUNE 19THLOCATION TRAIN STATION
    MOOD IRRITABLE❤!! NOTHINGWEARING
    OOC . . .

After a strange series of events, the group of campers found themselves stranded and Sophie was not in a good mood. She would have fought the man, rather than apologized, would have taken the truck, rather than turned it down. Sure, the driver wasn't in a good state to drive, but that was an easily solved issue; knock out the man and drive themselves.

As a bonus, they could have left him on the side of the road and not gave any shits.

Unfortunately, none of what she would have done was the case and Sophie was feeling very grumpy.

"Sean . . . Are we gonna die?" Sophie looked out of the corner of her eye to see a small blonde girl standing next to Sean.

"Not you. Hero. remember?" he replied, and she looked at his face. She had to admit he was a decent physical specimen, but having never interacted with him, and hearing what a tool he was made her laugh.

"No one is going to die." Sophie's sharpened gaze fell on Erik. She was completely loathing him at the moment, but kept a neutral expression. "We're all going to be just fine. Things may look bleak right now, but I honestly think this is better than chancing it with another stranger and ending up somewhere else we shouldn't be, or worse."

"We could have just knocked the drunk out and taken his truck," Sophie said with an exasperated sigh.

As she listened to the conversation about the map, Sophie sat her bag down. She didn't mind walking, especially since the weather wasn't so bad at the moment, if a little cold. After shrugging on a coat, she walked over to the map a gauged the directions in her mind, committing them to memory. Out in a far open like this, they could get lost easily, but if they kept going the right way, they should be fine.

She shouldered one of her bags and began to walk into the night with the others. This was going to be a long night.

Well ... Shit. This was peculiar. The train left, the lights went out ... David was gone, and her sudden paranoia seemed a bit silly now. It would have been really nice, to get that ride and finally be back home ... assuming that they really would have made it there alright. The fire and that ferry right ... it really shook her up.

Erik had taken the role of the 'leader', which was sort of admirable, but ... Really? They were walking alone, in the dead of the night--err--early morning? ... What time was it? They knew nothing about the town ahead of them and ...

This was getting a bit ridiculous. They were just putting themselves in situation after situation. Instead of following along with Erik right away, Noëlle took a step back and turned to Bryan with a deep, bracing breath.

I ... I don't know if we should go. Do you think we could find a way to call mom? I don't know it just ... I guess I'm scared. What do you think?

The moment the lights went out, a chill of terror ran down her spine. She could feel her body freezing up and not from the cold. Pierce rubbed her hands together, knotting and unknotting her fingers. Her knees started knocking together and she bit down on her lip, hard.

Are you coming? It was Adrian.

She glanced up at him, pulling the collar of her sweater to her chin. Um... she hesitated. Walking out into the dark seemed terrifying. She could feel her heart rate picking up in her chest and she didn't know what to do. They were leaving. There was no way Pierce could sit in this empty train station at night by herself, but also walking through the middle of nowhere in hopes to find a town was terrifying.

    I ... I don't know if we should go....

Pierce glanced back at the pink-haired girl named Noëlle. She was talking to her brother, one of the counselors. Maybe this could be her opportunity to stay where they had shelter. She took a step back, stumbling. Pierce was so conflicted. I-I don't kn-know... Um.. It's just... Her brown eyes shifted nervously. She hugged the large sweater tightly to her body. Her legs were covered in goosebumps and shivers ran up and down her body.

    DAY 51/4DATEJUNE 19THLOCATIONTRAIN STATION
    MOODWARY❤??NOTHINGOOC. . .

As far as Bryan knew, it was probably already past midnight. He honestly couldn't believe the train conductor didn't take them back! They were just a bunch of young people, what were they supposed to do? But Bryan didn't panic. They pretty much had the situation under control . . . for the most part. He was glad that there was someone who was good at reading maps, because he wasn't. Bryan wouldn't admit it, but he kind of got lost in his own backyard!

The train station was pretty creepy, and Bryan didn't want to stay longer than he had to, but since the others were there, there wasn't much to worry about. He couldn't believe their crappy luck! He was still pretty weighed down by . . . by the stuff Noëlle told him earlier that day, but the both of them had kept mum about it and he was glad that his sister was looking better by leaps and bounds.

He remembered that Elisa tried to talk to him earlier, but things started happening and there was no time for conversation at the moment. He wanted to go talk to her now, but she looked a bit stressed out by the situation.

Before he started to walk, Noëlle appeared, taking a deep breath in front of him. He frowned. "I . . . I don't know if we should go. Do you think we could find a way to call mom. I don't know, it just . . . I guess I'm scared. What do you think?"

Bryan patted his sister's shoulder and smiled at her in the dark. He hadn't even thought about mom. She of was probably worried sick! He kind of felt bad for not contacting her before, but there wasn't much to do about that now.

He looked around in the dark, walking up to the station quickly, and finding a payphone. Crap, did he have any change on him? Bryan patted himself down until he reached his back pockets. Aha! Three quarters. He pulled one out and slipped it into the slot, dialing up his mom's cell number.

    After a few long moments, ". . . Hello?" came a woman's hesitant voice.

"Mom?" Bryan asked, feeling a bit of relief and giving a thumbs up to Noëlle, "It's Bry - "

"Bryan, where are you?! Is Noëlle okay?! Are you okay?!"

"M - Mom, mom, calm down!" he said in a hurry, "We're fine. In a bit of a bad situation, though . . ." He scratched the back of his head and sighed.

"I know! First the fire at the camp, then the ferry sinking! I heard about it on the news, and I was afraid . . . Even your father . . ."

Bryan went solemn at the mention of dad, and looked at Noëlle, "Do you wanna talk to mom, sis?" he asked her, holding out the phone, "Don't. Mention. Dad." he whispered into the receiver before passing it on. He slipped a second quarter into the phone for good measure.

Bad news just loved to follow them everywhere and it just seemed that they really just could not get a break...well at least the train didn't crash this time. With as sigh Julius watched the scene unveil and soon enough they were left with practically nothing out deep in the middle of nowhere. Letting out another deep sigh Julius walked forward and couldn't help but chuckle when he heard the words of Sophie. "Come now that sounds like the easy productive way" Julius said giving her a pat on the shoulder as he walked up deep into the group and closed his eye.

"Alright before we do anything lets check out our options first. The situation isn't the greatest...no transportation nor food or water. Its dark and yadda yadda stuff you guys already have figured out" Julius said as he as he rubbed his temples "We can rush off and try to head off to the next town, but like I said its dark and who knows what really lurking out. There are risks, but the end result will be worth it. Our other option is to stay her until we have sufficient light and move out then. We can be more organized, but once again the risks are quite huge" Julius said letting out a sigh. "of course we have another option...and that is to do both" Julius said opening his eye.

"We can always split up into two groups and see with option would be best" Julius said crossing his arms as he watched those that were listening to his words "You guys are old enough to make your own decisions so lets start." Julius said. For him, fate was something a person carved by themselves. These kids needed to make their own path and the adults were merely there to help guide them.

Quentin had stopped teasing the boy when he saw he was aroused. Quentin was surprised when Sophie did as well. He didn't know what to think of Richie. The boy was obviously hot for him, which was a first for him. He didn't mind, but it wasn't requited. At least I got some fun with Sophie out of it.

He was lost, but Quentin was uninterested in the events of the moment. They had dodged a bullet and both of his girls were safe, and that was enough for him. Noëlle was still hugging that counselor. Curse his bones. He still had not gotten to talk to her and was saddened by it.

Sophie seemed okay, if miffed about walking. She's more playful than I first thought. I wonder what it takes to get her out of sorts? He tried to think of a prank to pull on her, but all he could think of was Cupid's Brew. That would kill two birds with one stone. It's all I have on me . . . he observed with a frown.

He stayed close to Sophie and heard her mumble about taking the truck. Too late now. She still had bags, at least. Quentin could tell she knew what she was doing, or thought she did. He caught up to her and whispered, "We make our third risky escape. What do you think will happen this time?"

Her eyes lit up with relief. Mom. Mom! Was she really on the phone? Her heels started bouncing on the old wood of the platform. It was dark, but she wasn't focused on that right now. The phone worked! It had been so long ... Over the last few days, she had thought that she might never hear her mother's voice again, or see her face. All of the emotions were hitting her at once.

When Bryan handed the phone to her, she nearly cried in joy, pressing the reciever to her ear and finding herself sniffling.

Mom, I miss you. She greeted, bluntly. There was no need to be prideful. It was the truth.

Noëlle, sweetheart! I miss you too. Where are you?

Um ... She pulled away from the phone a bit, trying to remember where they were. We just came from Bentley Grove. I'm at a train station near Lightbrooke ... Some of the group is planning on walking to town and staying there for the night, but I just want to go home ... One of the counselors say it's about two miles from here but I just ... Is there any way you could send help? Someone to come get us?

Lightbrooke ... ? Her voice was inquisitive, and still a bit worried. Noëlle could hear shifting, and then some typing. She smiled a bit, remembering how much she missed technology. Alright, I see it. What if I sent Joey out to get you?

With a frown, Noëlle wondered why she couldn't just come herself. Then she remembered how late it was ... and that she would have work, tomorrow. It still felt a bit dismissive, but there must have been a reason. Joey was a neighbor of theirs. He was always willing to give them an extra hand, and had become a bit of a father figure for her over the past few years. As long as someone came, she supposed.

She looked to Bryan and pressed her lips together in thought.

Mom says she can send Joey to come get us here ... What do you think?

Oh, that'd be -- . . . Oh, the others . . . I'd feel super bad if we just left the others. I . . . Man. I don't know. I kind of don't want to leave the others stranded out here.

Honestly, Noëlle could give no true shits about them right now. Mother was a bit dismissive and now Bryan wanted to stay for the sake of ... them. Her shoulders slumped. She just wanted to go home!! Home, home, home!!

The phone started to beep annoyingly.

Well ... Bryan feels bad about leaving the others here ... I'll try to call you later, but if you don't hear from us for a while, you know where we are so please send someone at that point, if you can. I miss you. I love--.

The phone cut off and Noëlle sulked, hanging up and frowning. Her stomach rumbled.

Welp. Her destiny, clearly, was to be stuck out here.

Maria was going to hold up the whole group with her walking pace. However, no one made it very far as other decisions were now being tossed out. She watched as Bryan and Noëlle made their way back inside the train station and what appeared to be the direction of the payphone in the dark. The Vicodin she had taken hours ago in the private car with Tucker was starting to wear off. She could feel the ache and throbbing pain of her cut side and was pretty sure her bandages needed to be changed, not that they gave her any extras. Maria shivered and rubbed her hands against her arms.

Alright before we do anything lets check out our options first. The situation isn't the greatest...no transportation nor food or water. Its dark and yadda yadda stuff you guys already have figured out, came the voice of that new counselor--What'shisface?--as he rubbed his temples. We can rush off and try to head off to the next town, but like I said its dark and who knows what really lurking out. There are risks, but the end result will be worth it. Our other option is to stay her until we have sufficient light and move out then. We can be more organized, but once again the risks are quite huge. he said letting out a sigh. Of course, we have another option...and that is to do both. She watched him open his only eye.

She glanced around at the others hesitantly. Both? We can always split up into two groups and see which option would be best? How would they know what's best without any means of communication? You guys are old enough to make your own decisions so lets start. he said.

She certainly was old enough, being an adult now, but not the rest of them. Maria stood there silently conflicting with herself. She was good with maps and directions which meant she would be an asset for those that wanted to leave--if they wanted to leave--, while she was also in a ton of pain and walking anywhere would just make it worse and burden the others by not being able to keep up. She chewed on the inside of her cheeks, wishing she knew what to do. It would be best if she sat down and rested, but she didn't want to seem useless in front of everyone. She had already been quite a burden on them to start with--what with the fainting and the carrying, and the babysitting her injuries. There was a difference between receiving attention and being a burden because they had no choice but to watch her. They should want to follow her around and dote on her, not feel obligated.

Maria pressed her face into her hands and sighed. It was a tough decision. I'd like to stay, she finally said. If they were breaking up or taking votes, that was her's. She would be too cold and exhausted from walking any further. As if agreeing, her legs began to tremble and gave out on her. She took a careful seat on the steps of the train station, pressing her arms to her chest and rubbing them with the palms of her hands.

    OOC . . .

It seemed that they weren't moving very fast, so Sophie slowed down and looked around. Quentin, it seemed, was tagging along with her. How cute. She wasn't in the mood, though.

"We could make our third risky escape. What do you think will happen this time?" he asked her and she gave a short, tired laugh.

"If we go out, we might get eaten by something. If we stay here, someone might find us and kill us." she explained tiredly, "Either way, I do think we're a bit screwed. I'd like some rest, so staying here in the station is preferable, to me."

"Alright, before we do anything, let's check out our options first." Sophie looked around in the dark to find the looming figure of Sir Dashing Patch talking. "The situation isn't the greatest . . . No transportation, nor food or water. It's dark, and yadda yadda stuff, you guys already have figured it out."

At least he was keeping her amused.

She listened to him speak while setting her things on the ground and rubbing at her wrist. It was starting to hurt again. Hopefully the dull ache wouldn't turn into something worse.

Splitting up? Not like she cared where the others went. She was tired, and wanted rest, otherwise these others would regret it.

"I would like to stay," said one of the other girls.

"I'm with the moon goddess," Sophie said with a bit of sarcasm, and then she looked at Quentin, "What are you going to do?" she asked him.

"Follow you, I suppose. What else is there to do?"

"Aren't you just adorable." she said, a little snide, but still tired.

"If it helps, I'd like to stay, too." Bryan called from the payphone.

"La-di-da for you, darling," she called back. "Everyone else?" She honestly didn't care what they did.

She couldn't quite understand why so many people behind her were just starting to stop and stay. Where where they going to hang? In the abandoned train station? Aislin shook her head and stepped forward, turning around and saying, "Well, if it is that long of a walk. We might as well start now, and it's okay if it is dark. We have stars to guide us." Aislin then smiled, "The eyes adjust."

Without waiting for anyone and assuming someone would follow, Aislin clapped her hands (which only served to remind her that her arm was broken) and turned around, starting to walk down the road into town.

Adrian looked at Pierce quietly. She looked much more afraid then he did. It was time to be the bigger man.
"Pierce," Adrian began. "I know for sure that we can't stay here, but we don't really have a choice. The fog is too thick to cover the distance, and moreover, it's too dark. We should follow the counselors and see what happens."

He held out one of his hands. "And if anything happens, I'll be right here. Promise?" Adrian knew that there was really nothing that anyone could do about the train situation. But he was sure, very sure, that he would shield Pierce from harm. Sure, she could've stuck with Aislin or Julius for that matter, but what Adrian was asking was Pierce's trust.

If Pierce declined that promise, he would understand and walk away. If she accepted...lets just say tha Adriian would protect Pierce like his life depended on it.

The cool air embraced her body immediately, biting at her skin. Her bony fingers immediately raised up to clutch her skinny arms, rubbing them quickly in attempt to conjure some body heat. The train halted to a stop as soon as she started her conversation with Bryan and everyone got off. She followed after Noelle who entered the cabin she and Bryan were with earlier but with the rush, none of them really spoke to each other and they all just went into the cold night. Following this was angry yelling and harsh words from the people who took them in and were supposed to take care of them - well, at least, that's what she understood. This all resulted to a failure, as the train and the truck began to part ways.

Her teeth began to chatter. Elisa always got too cold too easily - probably due to the lack of fat and protein in her body. She squatted down with her legs together and kept her arms close to her chest as she kind of hunched over and tried to feel the warmth of her own body. This barely helped. The air was still freezing and the clothes she wore, a leather skater skirt and the white bustier top, weren't helping at all. Her blue eyes looked up at everyone ahead, everyone was filled with worry. She couldn't make out by their faces but she knew, in fact, someone came in and pitched a small "Sean... are we gonna die?"

"No one is going to die."

Tucker nodded sternly, even though he was so sure that no one noticed that in the dark. No one was going to die - no. Not in his hands. No more lives were going to be lost under his responsibility - which grew on him increasingly as more and more unfortunate events seemed to pile onto their group. He looked at his fellow counselor, Erik, really glad that there was someone like him in the group. A natural leader.

He began to feel guilty again, as all that seemed to happen was that Erik would be filling in for things he should be helping out with. Erik was doing so much, while he did nothing. He shook his head quickly. No. There was no time for self-pity! He was a counselor! He wasn't supposed to be some sort of anchor to the group - no, not right now! He had to be an adult to the children with him now. He had to keep them safe. He had to help them. He looked back at the people around him as Erik disappeared into the darkness for a moment, only reappearing in his vision as he saw the fire emitted by his lighter. It was either incredibly late at night or too early in the morning - all he knew was that it was very dark. He could barely see a thing. Before any thoughts about being alone in the dark, strapped to no escape reentered his thoughts the twenty-one year old squinted as he tried to make out the faces of the ones near him. He saw Quentin, Pierce, Elisa, Stratana and Richie - at least, those he could name. The rest, he recognized only by their faces. They all looked so scared - no, more like, terrified.

"We can always split up into two groups and see with option would be best. You guys are old enough to make your own decisions so lets start."

Elisa shivered as she heard the eye-patched counselor speak. So it was stay or go? Both were pretty much an equal gamble - but the answer came to her quicker than she thought. It was too cold for her to move on, he felt like she had been frozen by some sort of ice beam. Plus, she was never good with walking long distances since she never had enough to eat for energy consumption. She'd just weigh the group down, of course. She was scared though, which made her kind of want to just get up and leave already - but she knew she really couldn't.

    I'd like to stay,
    "I'm with the moon goddess,"
    "Follow you, I suppose."
"If it helps, I'd like to stay, too."

The first came from a girl whose voice seemed quite tired and like her own, shivering slightly. The next she recognized as from the girl who was at the breakfast table earlier that morning in the inn. She couldn't make out the first male voice that she heard, coming nearby from the voice of the breakfast table girl but the next one - oh, she knew too well. It was Bryan. She inhaled sharply as he heard him mention his decision. It was lame, but that totally secured her final answer. She stood up from her squatting position, still clutching tightly to her bony arms as she said in her shaking voice, "I-I'll be staying too!"

Tucker had moved forward to the other counselors, now beside Julius and Erik, "Count me in." He knew that heading out would require him using his abilities more. He knew he would be more help moving than just staying still. He would help them, one way or the other, knowing himself - but he would help them all more by being out there. He sort of predicted the ratio of people leaving and people staying to be less to more respectively which seemed true as more and more people voiced out their decision to stay. He looked back at the people who decided to stay, they still had really frightened expressions on their faces and looked pretty tired. It made him upset seeing them all like that, he pressed his lips together, before clearing his throat and stepping forward, clapping once before finally using the chipper tone people missed the past three days,

"Hey, chin up campers! Tomorrow... Today... Whatever, it'll be a new day! The sun will rise, the summer heat will return and we'll all be okay! We're going to go home! So don't look so glum - this is an adventure and we're going to make it through! Keep your thoughts bright and remember that you guys have each other. So don't stray and everything will be okay! Yeah!" He grinned very brightly, still not really caring if people noticed. Tucker, however, noticed that he was kind of that counselor. He realized that when things are gloomy - it was his time to get everyone smiling. It was probably annoying and not much people would probably smile back but it was worth a shot - because Tucker knew that's what he could do and no one else. It was the one sure way he would help out.

He breathed in deeply, still keeping a smile on his face. It was a mask - but that didn't matter right now. He glanced at the students' mixed reactions to his attempt of giving hope/radiating positive thoughts to them. That's when he saw the fragile girl in the crowd from the train earlier. Maria. He honestly still felt guilty, plus, once the train stopped they both just kind of hopped off of it and went their separate ways. He still hadn't really been there for her - not by his means anyway - and now, he was leaving her. Well, the girl probably didn't have a choice, but still - the feeling of responsibility didn't leave him. It was nothing romantic - even though she was beautiful - it was just... he was so tired of seeing people sad or hurt or hopeless in his hands - especially when he knew he could have done something. He walked over to her. As he got closer and began to see her more in the dark, he noticed she was shivering as she sat on the steps of the train station. He quickly removed the polo shirt over his striped top, letting it slip off his toned arms and letting the cold air bite at his bare shoulders. He didn't mind the cold but did mind that he was showing off some skin - and that the scars the rose from his sides and his chest would now probably be seen but this was no time for self-pity and it was probably too dark for anyone to see anyway. He placed the shirt gently on her shoulders, letting it wrap around her - kind of like when he offered his jacket to Pierce during scavenger hunt night. He smiled at her quickly, "Just stay put. Everything will be okay." he told her and began to make his way back to the other counselors with his cold hands in his pockets. He left immediately, not really wanting to hear from her since... well, he didn't really know. He didn't want to hear an objection to what he was doing - but he did feel much better. He finally talked to her without any horrid thoughts in his head - so what he told her finally felt real and not forced due to circumstance. He stopped by Erik and Julius again, smiling at them both before the smile would begin to disappear as dark thoughts would soon begint o haunt him again, "We should get going."

"Stratana, I know you're afraid. I am too. So much has gone awry lately that I can't help but be scared!" Tears welled up in her eyes. "But listen, we can't give up! Not for anything! This is only just beginning, and we can make it out. I promise you, we'll make it out together. Just please... Don't cry. I don't like to see people cry." She smiled at her and gave her a quick hug of reassurance. Stratana didn't want to see Lexi cry either, so she gave her a tiny kiss on the cheek, tasting the salty tang that had dripped from Lexi's eyes on her lips.

"I think people are separating and heading towards town. What are we going to do?"

Natalie clung to Sebastian's arm. "I'm really glad you and I are together and didn't get separated, Sebastian." She was so warm. He hung on every word.

Sebastian sighed heavily. "I heard the name "Lightbrooke". I know that place; I spent a summer there." It was odd though, because right now he felt like he'd fallen off the face of the Earth. "We'd better stick together; you might even want to see if we can stick with Lexi. You've mentioned how much you value her."

"You're not going to mind if I tag with you, will you?" Came a voice from behind, and Sebastian turned to see Sean with a slightly comforted Jenna in toe.

He bent down to her level and said, "You should go talk to some others or have some time by yourself. Just don't leave the sight of the group." And so Jenna walked off, not in any particular hurry to leave Sean's side.

"I don't mind; do you, Nat?"

The[/url] interactions between those of Bentley and Candlewood did not go smoothly. Obviously. They were essentially stranded in an unfamiliar place, at least to most of them. Though he and his mother had never actually been here, they'd gone to similar quiet towns to escape the cramped and bustling city of Candlewood. Red Bank, one of the sections the city, was particularly crowded because it had a superb downtown area. The noise of the night was the worst though. His family lived in an average neighborhood, filled with friendly and generous people who would always have barbecues and throw pool parties in the summer, but it was located right next to the downtown. It was a blessing and a curse; Richie could easily access the area in a matter of mere minutes, but the nightlife was simply unbearable. His family contemplated, on several occasions, on whether moving was best, but the prime location by the alluring downtown area was quite rare they always decided against it.
Suffice to say, places like this were almost he and his mother's escape.

The large mass of people seemed to have their minds set on two options: stay or go. Several voices rose through the soft murmurs, and he specifically recognized Elisa's, Sophie's, Bryan's, and Quentin's. They all decided to stay by the train station, which was a tempting choice. Between publicly embarrassing himself and the whole inn incident, Richie was pretty exhausted. Then, he looked to the group of people who huddled together for the expedition through the darkness. Tucker was in that group...

Even thinking in-depth about which to choose exhausted his already depleting mental energy. He sighed and made his way over to Elisa. He felt he was making the right choice. Going out on a potentially dangerous endeavor would be too much for the tired boy. Besides, it'd be better to let the big, tough grownup men do it instead, right? As he headed towards Elisa, he called out, "I'll be staying here at the train station." It wasn't like anyone cared though.

Once Richie reached his pale blue-haired friend, he greeted her with a cheery, "Hey, how are you?" It was forced, mostly, but expressing what he truly felt (exhausted and slightly irritable) would surely drive the happy-go-lucky girl away. His stomach growled menacingly shortly after his greeting.

    Oh great.

Erik had stopped walking as abruptly as he started at the sound of Julius's voice. Splitting up? It really didn't sound like such a good idea. They were safer if they stuck together, but he couldn't force those that wanted rest to come along. He stood there waiting as everyone began to decide on what they wanted to do. His brown eyes washed over them as more than half stated that they wanted to stay. He sighed. If it came down to it, he would go alone. Erik glanced over at Julius, wondering what he possible wanted to do.

"Well, if it is that long of a walk. We might as well start now, and it's okay if it is dark. We have stars to guide us." said the smiling voice of a short-haired blond girl, "The eyes adjust."

    He smirked.

Pierce, Adrian began. I know for sure that we can't stay here, but we don't really have a choice. We should follow the counselors and see what happens. She looked at him confused. They had just been given a choice and the one she didn’t really care for either of them. Pierce nibbled nervously on her lip as he held out one of his hands. And if anything happens, I'll be right here. Promise.

Pierce swallowed before glancing back at the others that were now staying. She didn’t want to walk out in the dark. She would rather sit there with them and wait until they knew more. Um… her heart skipped a beat as she brushed away his outstretched hand. I’m going to stay, she said softly. You can go though, if you want. She took a step back up the steps. You’ll probably ah-hah… do more good… going with. She wanted to stay with the others and there was no way she was going to tell him why. Sure, everyone was probably a little scared, but she was most definitely more than that. A little scared didn’t cover it. The night shadowed terrors. It blanketed them so that they could easily sneak up on their prey. At least here with a group of people something bad was less likely to happen than walking as a small crowd out into the darkness beyond.

Count me in,” said Tucker. Erik nodded at the red-head, pleased to see that someone else was so willing to join them.

He looked over at Julius questioningly in the dark. “You stayin’ here or headin’ out with us?” Erik didn’t particularly want to leave Bryan as the only adult in charge of so many kids, but Julius didn’t really seem like the type that would lie in wait.

Hey, chin up campers! Tomorrow... Yeah!

Pierce forced a smile on her face at the sound of her counselor’s words. He wasn’t really her counselor anymore, was he? Even now, he had that bright cheery attitude about him that was infectious and spread warmth throughout her body. She looked back at golden-eyed red head before her, the thumping of her heart growing louder. A numbing sensation ran through her body and her smile turned more genuine. I-I’ll be fine.

Maria was still rubbing her arms, listening as everyone voiced their opinions. She didn’t feel so bad about wanting to stay at the train station now that so many others had agreed. Moon Goddess? She laughed to herself. Sophie probably meant it as some sort of insult, but she would take it anyway. She voluntarily called me a goddess. Even if she did say it sarcastically, it was still a compliment. She was smirking stupidly until she realized that there was now someone standing in front of her. Her blue eyes drifted upwards in time to see Tucker stripping out of his sweater. She watched him curiously and chanced a quick glance at his briefly exposed abdomen in the dim moonlight. A smug expression spread across her face as he gently placed his sweater on her body. It smelled like him, warm and delicious. Tucker didn’t say anything the whole time, and although they spent a good chunk of the train ride together, there hadn’t been much exchanged between them at that point either. She had drifted in and out of a drug induced stupor and dozed off a few times. She hadn’t been too certain on what he did while she was out of it, but the ride had been rather quiet.

Tucker gave her a quick smile and she felt a flutter in her stomach. Her cheeks burned slightly and she smiled back. Just stay put. Everything will be all right.

I don’t doubt it, she told him, still smiling, but he was already walking away. I hope he doesn’t get too cold out there. Maria sighed.

We should get going,” Tucker told him as he came walking back.

That was awfully sweet of you,” Erik teased before taking one last quick look around.

You’re not going to mind if I tag with you, will you?

Erik glanced around to see Sean talking to one of the other kids. Sebastian? “Meathead,” he called out to Sean, “You’re coming with me.” He walked over to the tall muscly kid and grabbed him by the shoulder, dragging him back to their group. “Stay put.” He narrowed his eyes on him before turning back to the others. “All right,” he started, “We’re heading out in just a minute.” Erik checked the time on his watch. It was after midnight. “As soon as we get things situated in town, I’ll head back over here to get the rest of you. I’m hoping it shouldn’t take more than two hours to get back here. Those of you that are staying get some rest and try to keep warm. If you have any change on you, you should try giving your parents a call. I’m sure most of them would be more than willing to head out here to get you rather than waiting or wondering what happened to you.

He looked over at Bryan, still inside the train station, and gave his group of deportees a quick wave before heading up the stairs to meet with the other kid. Erik pulled him off to the side to speak in private for a minute. “You’re in charge now, so make sure you keep a sharp eye on everyone. I wouldn’t let anyone go wandering around if I were you. We don’t know what’s out here and breaking up into groups any smaller than what we are already at could be dangerous. I can see there’s something going on with you and your sister and I don’t care what it is, just make sure you watch the other kids too. I’ll be back as soon as I can, hopefully with good news.” He clasped him on the shoulder and gave Bryan a quick squeeze before nodding and turning away. “Take care newbie.

Maria watched as Erik walked away. Her eyes were focused on the group of people that were getting ready to leave. She watched Erik walk over to Bryan and remember something from the map. Her bare feet touched the cold ground at the bottom of the steps and she pushed herself upright. Maria winced in pain and clutched her side as she rushed--more like limped and stumbled awkwardly--over to the others. Before you go, she glanced up at Tucker, who didn't seem to really want anything to do with her, and then looked to Aislin instead, When I was looking at the map, it showed that the road comes to a T about a half mile down the road. In order to get to Lightbrooke you'll need to take a right at that T and then just keep heading straight. After that you should be able to see the lights from the town and know you're almost there. She gave them all a quick nod as Erik rejoined the group. Be safe. He responded with a grunt and a ❛ let's go ❜ before stalking off into the dark.

She waved goodbye to their fleeting figures and headed slowly back inside the train station. Her stomach was all knotted up as she took painful steps up to the platform and rather ungracefully collapsed on the nearest bench.

James didn't waste time standing after it was announced that they were splitting into groups, immediately he sat down on a bench. Sleepy, but not fatigued. He couldn't spot his Emalynn in the counselor based group that was leaving, so that meant he could rest till morning came and they would return with a bus or shuttle, something! And two miles? In the dark? Treble please. He was not hoofing that distance until absolutely nessesary. So he wiggled into the hard bench until his body made if comfy.

He was going to attempt sleep in this preposterous position. But spotted something with his cool baby blues. An opportunity to be a gentleman. Cool. He stood up, not really wanting too, but he did, and he then ambled his way towards Elisa. He didn't know her, but he knew a heavily trembling girl when he saw one! His fingers began to unbutton his vest, he didn't need it, it was a bit warm out after all. His common sense told him to stand infront of her and present it so he did.

"Hey! You're shaking like a leaf! I thought maybe you should take this." He said it gleefully, but a sad frown crossed his face as he held it out to her. "Well it doesn't have sleeves but the point is that if you hold it close enough around you, it should keep you pretty warm." His plan didn't seem full proof so he plopped down beside her. "I'm James, you can call me your eater tonight."

She was so skinny! But with the right diet...

It was becoming clear that they were going to split up into group, which was a good idea. Now he wasn't one for exploring areas that he's never been to, at least without proper guidance so he wasn't planning on venturing out with them. That and it seemed that they had enough people in the group as it was.
"I think people are separating and heading towards town. What are we going to do?"
Alex heard Stratana's voice and looked in their direction, just in time to see her sigh of affection she gave Lexi. Huh so that's what way she swings. If not that then she has a very strange way of showing affection to her friends. Still, he couldn't help but wonder how Lexi felt about it. The answer could be a problem for him in the future if he found out.
Maybe you'll be lucky in her preference.
He only ran his hand through his hair at this at the voices remark. There was no point of him worrying about it too much with so little information to go off of. For now he went ahead and found himself a place to sit back at the station.

Julius let out a sigh and was quite content that they were actually able to plan out something. He had preferred that they stick together, but separating was inevitable and he wouldn't have suggested it if he didn't acknowledge this fact. There was no doubt that he was going to be going along with the others in order to reach the other town, but he really didn't feel quite comfortable about leaving one counsellor behind. If they were to split then he felt that the counsellors should be split as well.

Regardless Julius merely accepted the grouping that was chosen and let out a sigh "Well then lets get our asses in gear and get the hell out of here" Julius said stretching his arms before placing his hands in his pockets and turned his back on the others "Alright kiddos...don't do anything stupid while I'm gone" Julius said as he began to walk ahead "now lets go Team EyePatch" Julius said as he walked on.

Getting to the next town was the first step, but what then? surely they would first need a place to stay and transportation for the others as well. Those things were not the hardest to get, but the question was what they would do next. Once they got to Candlewood would they be able to get home exactly without any problems? He wondered if there would be others willing to help them, but if thats the case was it worth being in their debt? With all this Julius let out a sigh.

So they were separating and going to Lightbrooke... She had heard of that place, it was where her parents went on their honeymoon, a year or so before she was born.

"I think it's best we go. No sense in staying here. We can go out with everyone, get help, and come back for the stragglers... I'm sure someone here is bound to know a person or two there." She took Stratana's hand. "So come on! Allons-y!" She then looked at Alex. "You'll stick with us, right?"

Natalie wasn't sure. Sean seemed like a bit of an oddball. He was also kind of mean, as far as she knew, but, maybe that had changed? Either way, she didnt feel safe with him around... She only felt safe with Sebastian and Lexi, and MAYBE Stratana. Deciding against it, she shook her head, letting Sebastian know that she didnt want Sean tagging along. For some reason, her jaw had locked up and she couldn't say 'no'. She wondered what Sean would think, then she looked over at Lexi, indicating that she wanted to go with them. As she heard Erik (was that his name?)'s grunt, she knew it was time to go. Seeing Lexi follow them, Natalie dragged Sebastian with him, signaling him that it was time to go.

Lexi sighed. It was all or nothing now. They'd e either make it, or another tragedy would befall them. She tried not to think of the fire or the ferry.

Well he was going to stay behind, but seeing as how he was sorta invited, he could change what he was planning. There was nothing wrong with that especially if you had legit reason to do so. "Y-yeah." He left it at that before getting up and catching up with them. Now there were a few extra things to worry about. One being what exactly would they find during there walk and the other was the uneasy feeling her got from Stratana. He never did figure out what the reason for it was and knew that asking her about it would yield no results.
Try not to worry about her, beside you have others things to worry about.
Alex wasn't exactly sure whether it was curiosity of Lexi or the actual situation at hand that his voice was referring to. It was more likely that it was the Lexi situation. His voice never seemed to prioritize any danger that he was in, always proven how it stays quiet during times of distress or anything close to it. After hearing her sigh, Alex glanced in Lexi's direction. No doubt that she was worried bothered about something. or to a lesser extent . "D-don't worry about t-this t-too much." He took another shot in the dark about what was bothering her.
