"So Alex, what were your plans at camp?"
"I-I didn't plan much t-to be honest." Alex replied. He didn't really have any plans at camp, he was just going to go with the flow of what ever happen. Aside from the fire that is. "W-what were your plans Lexi?" It seemed fair that he asked too. After all he barely saw her during the time that they were at the camp.
    "Stratana... Are you okay?"

Stratana, that's what her name was. Well that solved one mystery, that just left why he got an uneasy feeling from her. The fact that he just figured out her name now was further proof that he couldn't have done anything. Clearly asking her wouldn't solve the issue, hopefully just ignoring it and trying not to do anything wrong would solve the problem.
"Lexi, I don't want to be on this train. I don't like feeling chubby and not being able to move."
But you look fine. That's what he wanted to say, but it seemed like too much of a risk considering how touchy of a topic that that could be. Besides it was directed at Lexi, not him. He was confident that she could make her feel better without the risk of ticking her off.

Lexi looked at Stratana. "Well... I don't know... Let's go for a walk or something. Go see Natalie and Sebastian I guess." She looked at Alex. "Be a sweetie and wait for us here? I want to talk to Stratana alone." Lexi grabbed Stratana's hand and led her away.

Outside the cabins in the walk way, Lexi questioned Stratana. "Okay, what's up with you? I want the truth, and I want it now, Stratana." Lexi was serious now. No more fooling. If Stratana had something to say, she needed to say it now.

Natalie, meanwhile. Skipped in the corridor. Train rides were fun, especially when all her friends were there. All two of them. Sebastian and Lexi. Her only two friends. The thought sunk in, but she didnt mind. She was at least happy that she made any friends at all.

    Suddenly, Natalie heard voices.

"Okay, what's up with you? I want the truth, and I want it now, Stratana."

That was Lexi. What was going on? She crept behind a cabin door and peered it open, then listened.

Silence was all anyone got from Tucker for a while. He'd give a small smile if anyone directly called for him, but walked on. He felt kind of guilty for not dealing with the doctor when Maria came out of the clinic alright. Thank goodness Erik had been there. He also felt guilty for not being able to respond to him, more so when he couldn't find himself to speak up when Maria talked to him. It was like something was caught in his throat and he just couldn't speak - like one of the doctors pinned him down, put a tight grip with his right hand on his neck before pulling out an exacto-knife with the other and ripping out his voice box.

He really didn't trust doctors. He loathed them. Everything seemed to keep adding onto the heavy feeling in his chest that he tried to mask - but he kind of gave up after Maria. It wasn't her. It was just the thought that he couldn't do anything and he had to leave her to... doctors. He stayed by her silently, kind of like a guardian, when they waited for the train to arrive but once it did he just couldn't find himself being around anyone at the moment. He got into the train, found an empty cabin and walked into it. He had nothing but the clothes he had on with him, so all he did was lie on his side, close his eyes and try to be oblivious to everything.

He sat there, breathing and thinking for a while again. Why now? Camp was supposed to be fun. It was summer, summer was supposed to be fun. So that meant summer camp was to be twice the fun! But holy macaroni, this was just a nightmare. To think that all the disasters were bad enough, the twenty-one-year old found himself being haunted by things of his past - something he'd never wish to visit ever again. It was just the feeling of not being able to help anyone including himself, the doctors that attacked him in the hospital, leaving people to disaster like his troopers during the fire, the noises of the breaking ferry, all the children's screams and cries, but most especially the death.

It was a nightmare, though. He could hear it. All of it. All the screaming of children, the grinding of metal, and that helpless feeling. Yet, it was all darkness. It was a nightmare, yes, it was! It was the demons waking up from their slumber inside the back of Tucker's mind which he tried so hard to lock away - but they found their way out. The demons. The doctors. The children. They all reached out to him. Wake up! That's all he had to do! Just, wake up! But it was no use. He felt paralyzed. He couldn't move, couldn't breathe, couldn't speak - no, couldn't scream. That's when they began to appear, like a dying film being rolled on the screen. They got closer with every blink. Doctors, with children in their grasps, not being able to move or stray away. He wanted to tell them to run, to get away - but he couldn't move! Couldn't speak! They got closer, dropping the children on the floor - where they lay limp, crying and clutching their knees. Bruises covered their entire bodies. The doctors reached out for him, holding handcuffs and ropes and metal sticks in their hands. He felt like he was in a straightjacket. He wanted to get out so badly, but it was just the same - he couldn't move, he couldn't breathe, he couldn't scream. Even though he so badly wanted to! No! No! No! That's all he wanted to scream. No! HE shut his eyes. Maybe they'd go away then! But NO! That never worked. They were always there! NO! N-

    "Tucker!!"

Large hands lay on his body, gripping him tightly, and shaking him vigorously. It was just a dream - no, a nightmare. He gulped, before wipping his head up. A large man towered over him. He didn't wear a look of concern on his face. His chestnut eyes were filled with ill intentions with his patchy cherry hair matched his grotesque appearance, worse, an evil smile cracked onto his face. He wore an orange jumpsuit. The grip from his hands on Tucker's body became much tighter, hurting actually. No. Why was he here? No! He still couldn't seem to move. No! He was supposed to be locked away. NO! JUST- "NO!!!"

Gasping out, he sat up from where he lay. Sweat trailed down from his temples. His eyes were filled with panic as he blinked quickly, looking at the people in his cabins. It was a couple of students, with worried expressions on their faces. It was a nightmare, after all. Like, a double nightmare. He stared at them for a moment, breathing heavily before he ran a hand through his damp red hair and closed his eyes.

"Tucker, are you... okay? You were grunting, moving and mumbling in your sleep, we got worried." It was that Joanne girl from the first day and the year before. She was alive? That was good. The counselor opened his eyes, to look at her. "I'm fine. Just fine." he said before getting to his feet and heading for the cabin door, before any word could escape the other students, he spoke again, "I'm fine. Don't worry. I'm fine." all lies, of course, but he really didn't want them to worry. He closed the door behind him before he walked down the hall of the train. He could feel his body shaking, as he balled his hands into fists and stared at the ground as he walked. It was haunting him. It really was. This was a nightmare. Everything was just horrible.

Out of the corner of his eye, he spots a familiar looking frail girl. Blonde hair, delicate features. It was Maria. He stopped and looked at her for a moment, watching her pull something out of her pocket, only having it fall to the floor. The train didn't help at all. She couldn't reach down for it as it rolled around, escaping her grasp. She also looked like she was in pain. He let his eyes avert her for a while before he looked back at the fragile girl again. Every blink at her added to his guilt from earlier. He pressed his lips together, licking them nervously, before he walked up to her without a word, getting down on one knee as he reached for the pill bottle on the floor. He looked up at the beautiful girl with a blank expression, too tired and too lost of what exactly he was doing to bring up a smile. He held the pill bottle out to her. Still, silence. He blinked, realizing she probably needed more help than that, he got up to his feet, took a seat beside her before he popped the bottle open and dropping one of the pain kilers into his hand. He grabbed her right hand gently, before placing the little pill into her palm. He looked at her for a moment, still in silence, before he finally got to speak up, "Do you need water for that?"

"Be a sweetie and wait for us here? I want to talk to Stratana alone."
"S-sure." Alex replied. So he was right, Lexi was going to figure to what was up with her. That just made one less thing for him to worry about later. Though he would fully know not to worry or not unless he actually asked Lexi about it and depending on what was said, would decided whether or not that he found out.
Think of it this way, you got a girls attention without having to do anything.
Well that certainly was a self-esteem booster, not that he really needed one anyway. For now all he could do was wait until she return with possible answer to this dilemma. He was a patient guy so he could wait, it not like it was something dire or anything like that.

Elisa's happiness from the doctor's 'no breakfast for you' episode quickly vanished. She blinked at her broken phone after she pulled out of her bag. It gave its life to the ocean. It was so dead. She tried her hardest to revive it back in her room in the inn they occupied earlier, before hopping onto the train and having her orange juice breakfast - but she was interrupted by the rude inn keeper who quite literally kicked them out. So, obediently, she grabbed all her things, dumping it into her military bag, before she followed everyone into the train.

Needless to say, she was really upset with the fact her phone wasn't working - it was her last piece of technology, and the only one capable of grabbing internet connection. Though, she highly doubted that she would ever find any until she got home. She began to wonder how her followers thought of her. They probably just thought she was having a fun time at camp, when really she's been through all of this. It would be a highly interesting story to tell, sadly, with no photographic evidence which meant no photosets with filtered photographs to show anyone. It would have been really pretty - especially on her main blog! All the colours and all the creepiness. Her followers would probably really love it. Plus it would probably get her more likes with a story of the princess surviving such a horrifying ordeal - that is, if she did survive.

The teen gripped on her phone at that thought, before she placed it back into her bag. Man, that thought sucked. Like, how would anyone even know about her death if ever the case? All her friends online. Kent. Mimi. Opal. Prince Lulu. Blythe. And everyone else! How would they know? Would they even care? Elisa gulped at the uncomfortable thought. Thinking about it made her want to throw up. It really did. Plus, the train wasn't helping. She looked down at her military bag and opened the ziplock with her appetite pills. Logically, they probably wouldn't help at all, but she took one out from the six left, making five, and popped it into her mouth. Swallowing it. She still felt a little sick, and the stuffed cabin she was in wasn't helping, so she got to her feet and walked out.

She glanced at people through cabins, they were with friends, talking about. She smiled at them, with a pang of envy in her spirit. She kind of just wanted to forget and be happy like them - even though they seemed not so happy. But like, they had company. She was alone. After that thought, being away from the internet, she felt even more alone. But she didn't bother with them since they seemed busy and content with each other's company so she kept walking. That's when she spotted a familiar boy with brown hair. He was alone in his cabin. It was Bryan.

She felt her heart begin to race and her cheeks heating up. Blushing again? What was it with this guy? She pressed her thin lips together as she stared at him from a distance. He looked kind of tired and unhappy. She didn't blame him. She was sure a lot of people were, which she wouldn't care less for, but seeing Bryan who was usually so happy and sweet in a state like this bothered her. He was alone. All alone. Wait. So was she! She clutched the strap of her bag, before she began to take steps forward, she hung by the cabin's door, peeking her head in, "H-hi Bryan." she squeaked. A short, incredibly awkward (at least in her terms) silence followed after, so she quickly said "U-um, I just noticed you looking... a little glum. Um. A-are you alright?"

Her arm was outstretched as she feebly attempted to reach the yellow bottle rolling around on the floor to no avail. Maria was ready to give up when suddenly there were legs in her face. Her blue eyes shifted up as the figure crouched down. A weak smile was on her face as Tucker reached for the bottle and held it up for her. Her hand reached for it slowly but then he sat down beside her. What's he doing? He was so quiet and he didn't appear to be his usual cheerful self. Did something happen to him? The sound of the pill bottle popping open was the only noise in the room. She watched his chest rise and fall as he breathed, pulling one of the pills out. He was being awfully helpful, but that just seemed to be Tucker's character type. From what she had come to see over the last couple summers, he was always one to help out.

He grabbed her hand gently and warmth radiated where he touched her. Maria felt him place the pill in her hand, but her mind was lost. She was too busy watching his face. He looked tired. His cherry red hair was slightly damp, making it appear darker. Do you need water for that?

Her expression was blank for a moment, lost in his features. She pulled her hand away slowly and cleared her throat. It's fine. I can swallow it dry. Maria let her saliva collect in her mouth before carefully dropping the pill inside and forcefully swallowing it down her throat. She wanted to sit up. He felt so far away with her head on the cushioned bench. Gently, she set one hand down on his thigh, just above the knee, and the other on the edge of the bench, pushing herself upright. Maria retracted her hand from his leg and clasped her hands together in her lap. I hope you don't mind. I just... really wanted to be upright. She lifted her head and smiled at him. Her blue eyes were still rimmed with red from having her contacts in for so long. They burned. She wanted to rub them, but it would only make it worse.

Maria pulled her hair together and let it all fall over her right shoulder. Her fingers tugged on the knotted curly platinum blond locks as she tried to brush them through it. The car was filled with more silence. She never had a hard time coming up with something to say, not to mention she had been hoping for some company. I can take the bottle back now. She shifted carefully on the bench and reached out to take the bottle and cap from him, her cold fingers grazing his. Maria resealed the lid and shoved the pill bottle back into her pocket. Thank you, she added in the silence. For carrying me, that is. She stared down at her hands. A loose lock of blond hair fell in her face and she tucked it behind her ear.

Adrian was surprised to get an answer. He had half expected her to jump out the train. He snapped out of the thought, and responded, "Red, black and purple. I like black and red the most because black represents wisdom while red means bravery."
Adrian went a small shade of pink when Pierce studied him. Her face then went red as she buried her head, and asked looking at him, Are... Are you okay?

Adrian opened his mouth and was about to lie, but his inner instincts told him to come clean if he really wanted to be with this girl.
"No, I'm not." Adrian said, his yellow eyes truthful, "First we get caught up in the flames, sending a majority of us to the hospital, then our ferry crashes for an unknown reason. As for Toni.." His voice cuts off and he puts his thumb and index fingers on his eyelids, and shakes his head. He reopens them, and this time, there's a bitter hardness.

"Toni had taken care of me since I was born. We have lousy parents so we lived completely independent. Sure, she was annoying sometimes, but in the end, she mattered. And as I jumped out of the ferry, I saw her slip and break her neck. It was painful." Adrian laid his head against the seat with his eyes closed again. He somehow felt better, as if a bottle of poison left his immune system all in one go.

"Okay, what's up with you? I want the truth, and I want it now, Stratana." Lexi was serious now. This made Stratana turn beet red with embarrassment, especially as Natalie and Sebastian soon followed into the same small space.

"Isn't it obvious he wants you?" She murmured. "The whole desperate boy air he's giving is-"

"Palpable." Sebastian finished Stratana's sentence. "The same thing is happening with you. You seem a little "Jealous"."

Stratana seethed with rage. "Fine! I'm jealous of Alex, and I'm in love with Lexi, alright?!"

Sebastian nodded. This was unexpected, to be sure. He'd only been playing when he tried to suggest Stratana was acting out of jealousy. To find out she had taken a very different route in life seemed... welcomingly strange. "Be that as it may, I think we should go into the cabin. Natalie has been wanting to talk to you, Lexi." And just like that, he ushered the three others into the cabin he'd seen them leave.

Stratana sulked back in. "I didn't know I was being that obviou-"

    "Painfully."

    "Shuddit."

The twenty one year old nodded at her, pressing his lips together before turning away from her. He didn't sit up. He didn't leave. He just sat there silently. He wanted to help her out, but now that he did, he didn't exactly know how - or what to do, or anything really. Even though he already spoke, he still didn't feel like talking anymore. He felt drained. Even though he just helped her out, he felt like he wasn't doing anything. Anyone could have reached down and grabbed that for her. What made him any different? The thought didn't exactly help. He wasn't helping himself at all, actually. He just felt even more empty and scared. He could still feel himself shaking slightly. Was that helping Maria? It probably didn't. It probably made it even more awkward than it already was. But what was there to do? Like, what now?

Suddenly, he felt a hand on his thigh. His body tensed up immediately as he inhaled sharply. His grip on the bottle he still had in his hands tightened. Pressure was then added on his thigh, which made him panic even more, but when he turned to Maria, who had been the one who did that, he saw her sitting up more properly with his help. If it wasn't Maria, he knew he would have just pulled the hand away and stood up immediately. If he did that though, he would probably just hurt her, so it was good he kept his cool - or at least tried to.

I hope you don't mind. I just... really wanted to be upright.

He cleared his throat as if to speak, but then just pressed his lips together and shook his head with a no-worries expression. He averted his eyes from her again, not really being able to look at her. The stitches on her and her tired red eyes reminded him of the guilt he felt. He placed his right hand on his knee as he sat there. He didn't lean back, obviously not being relaxed at all, but tried to keep his composure for Maria. He didn't want to trouble her further. He gripped the bottle in his hand tightly and clutched the fabric of his shorts over his knee with the other.

I can take the bottle back now.

His eyes turned to her quickly, then at the bottle in his hands, then back at her. He swallowed before he slipped out a small "Oh yeah" then, she took the bottle from his hand which her loosened his grip on immediately. She put it back in her pocket then added, Thank you, For carrying me, that is.

He reached for the back of his head, scratching his still damp scalp. "It was nothing" he said to her. He then added a small smile after, just because it seemed polite - because, it really was nothing helping her. Nothing to her at least. It was kind of selfish actually. Tucker knew this. He helped others to give him some sort of recognition, actually no, that wasn't the right word. It was like a pat in the back. It was like his debt. He helped others to help him believe that he wasn't a horrible person - when he knew so well that that's what he was.

    WEATHERCLEAR SKIES 60°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 6/19/2013 - 12:10AM ✖『DAY』 04

When Noëlle left the bathroom, tossed the water and headed back to the cabin, Elisa was there. Not in the mood to really bother with her -- or Bryan, at that particular point, she entered the cabin, grabbed her stuff and left again. She had made up her mind, but it still kind of bugged her. The wound was new and tender, and she didn't really have the patience to confront that. She wanted to sleep and start over. Wake up a new person, with a new vigor. She was tired of being sad.

    Time to go, kids!

Noëlle stirred at the enthusiastic voice of their conductor. Was he supposed to be back here? Where were they? Ack, she felt so disoriented! Her eyes fluttered open and then she winced, closing them again. Bright lamps from outside blasted the train with yellow light. Her throat vibrated with a groan, and she twisted herself further into the seat cushions.

The closest we were able to get you kids to Candlewood was Lightbrook. My cousin, David, offered to come pick you lot up in his truck and he's not the most patient. Should get you there alright, though. He can drop you off at Fortissmo, and you can have your parents pick you up. Buses aren't runnin' this late, after all ...

He trailed off, staring at her for a moment and then at whoever else was visible, and then shrugging and opening the doors to the car they were in.

Noëlle swung her bag over her shoulder and stood up, peeking over the rising figures of people to make sure Bryan was okay and exiting the train, too, before stepping off into the cool night air. Her eyes were heavy, and she felt exhausted. Getting in the car with this ... David guy didn't seem like the safest thing, but ... What could he do? There were so many of them. Though, she would rather her family pick her up. She missed her phone. Her parents were probably so worried ... She wondered about the others, too. The groups they had left behind.

Her arms folded over her chest to warm herself, and the roaring of an engine caught her attention and she walked towards the dirt brown jeep that they were all apparently to pile into. So much traveling ...

The conductor and a group of workers from the train got off, talking with each other and laughing. He motioned towards their group and broke out into louder roar. Her eyebrows furrowed. Was she being paranoid or what? Hmm...

    WEATHERCLEAR SKIES 60°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 6/19/2013 - 12:10AM ✖『DAY』 04

As she moved closer and closer to the truck, the anxiety and nervousness she had felt when getting off grew. This was bad. Really bad. Her feet stopped and she turned around to face the other's, specifically Bryan. Slowly, she shook her head back and forth. The laughter of the conductor and workers continued off to the side and David revved up his truck, leaning out of his window. He had a friendly face, but cold, dark eyes.

What're you waiting for? Let's go! It's late and I'm tirrrrrred.

He had clearly been drinking, though he didn't seem ... enormously drunk. Noëlle took a step back towards their group with a nervous frown. The cold bit at her ankles and cheeks.

Erik stepped forward and passed her, and she twisted around to watch him. Her stomach turned. Something was wrong ...

David right? My name is Erik and as nice of an offer as it was for you to volunteer to drive us to Fortissimo, I think we're going to have to decline. We can manage our own way back from here, thanks. We've just had too many strange occurances in the last couple days and would rather play it safe, ya' hear? So yeah, thanks but no thanks.

She could barely hear Erik over the sound of the truck, let alone the messy reply that followed.

You mean to tell me ... Hah! I came all of the way out here for NOTHIN'? Load of ... Well, alright, whatever. Thanks a lot, Frank!

David shouted back towards the conductor, who stopped his chatting to gaze towards them. David started driving away, muttering something and Noëlle felt a bit relieved ... That was, until she took a step towards Erik to thank him, and Frank -- the conductor -- interjected.

What was that all about? I try to do you a favor and ... ! She wasn't sure why he was so angry, but her fingers were shaking. She stared wide eyed at Erik. Favors are difficult to come by, from us Bentley residents. Kindness is difficult to come by. What are you expectin' to do now? You're all basically kids, I can't just LEAVE YOU HERE, but I gotta get home before six. Cane TOLD me you guys were selfish lot but we still helped you out ... ! Patrick, Cane and I ... We're gonna be getting enough of an earful from upstairs ...! His green eyes pierced Erik's. His face was flushed. The workers from before shuffled back into the train with worried expressions on their faces.

She was honestly about to step between them when she heard a voice speak up.

Hi, although I cannot speak for everyone. I am really sorry that you went through this much trouble to get us here, and I am also sorry if declining the offer of a ride offended you in any way.

She recognized the girl from the other day, in the clinic ... the awkwardness. She felt a little bad about that now.

Frank raised an eyebrow and then shook his head back and forth.

Yeah, well ... Me too, kid. Don't want to do this to you guys but ... Left me no choice.

Her walked back to the train and got in without another word. A few minutes later, it was alive again and chugging down the train tracks, around the empty train station and back the way it came.

As the train left, the lanterns went out and they were left alone, in the dark, in a ghost town she had never even heard of.

There was nothing but road, some kind of desert, and this abandoned looking train station.

Stranded? Sebastian wrapped an arm around Natalie to help warm her up, while Stratana clung tightly to Lexi. Jenna was sobbing into Sean's shirt, and all looked bleak for this small group within the larger group.

Stratana felt so vulnerable out in the dark and lonely area. "Lexi... you always make things better; make things better now." She demanded without her senses, making her sound like a child. "I'm really afraid." She sobbed into Lexi's shoulders, and in her strife, gave Lexi's shoulder a flurry of barely noticable kisses.

Sebastian looked to Natalie whom he held close. "Words can't describe how glad I am to have someone to hold right now." He was fighting off tears with little success, rubbing Natalie's back lightly and giving her forehead tender kisses. "Try the fact it's you I'm holding"Speecj" , and I fel even better after that."

Sean hushed Jenna's tears. That was all he could do, and it proved to yield little more to the creepy silence that was all surrounding, even with others talking.

    "Sean... are we gonna die?"

"Not you." He replied as serious as could be, but even he had to fight off a flood . "Hero. Remember?

James walked down the hall of the train at a steady pace. Phew! Were all trains this long and tiring just to get from cabin to cabin. He settled into a chair that wasn't in a cabin to take a five minute break. Where in the hell was Emalynn? He hugged his way up to his feet and kept moving, glee etching onto his face as he spotted her. She was sitting! Thank God, he could sit down too. His gaze took in her situation and a small smile found it's way to his lips, they had Sean and Jenna as company. He had only met them at the scavenger hunt before tthe forest went up in flames. He was about to chirp out a hello when the train slowed to a stop and they were...well, out again but this time for a valid reason. The train had done it's job, partially. James had no idea as to where they were. He was starting to get frustrated as he stuck close to his Fortissimo peers while they were informed of a Mr. David being their ride back to home. He would have danced if so many people weren't around. Instead he waited patiently for a sweet four wheeled carriage to cart them all home. Home, where he could forget about this entire awful mess.

James's anger meter rose. The adults declined the free ride. He groaned audibly and was about to frown before pulling his face into a deflated pout. What the lumps were they going to do now? A petite girl apologized to the conductor who simply left them where they stood. He felt bad for anyone who had left their things. But he brought his primary focus to the direction the now vanished car was gone to.

They had options still, so that was a good thing. He turned his attention to their guardians, hoping they wouldn't do something stupid like huddle to hash out their next brilliant plan. They should get the younger guys opinions as well, because he had a few now that they didn't have a ride. He glanced irritably at their surroundings. Creepy train station. Nightfallen dirty road. And who cares about the rest. His mind settled on the station. Maybe there was a payphone or flashlights or ticket guy who could give them directions. James would be quiet, for now.

Lexi stayed quiet at Stratana's request and just held her. She couldn't make everything better, at least, not right now. But they had hope. Lexi obviously have Stratana all the hope she had, and Lexi wouldn't let her lose it. They had been through too much for it to all just fade away now.

"Stratana, I know you're afraid. I am too. So much has gone awry lately that I can't help but be scared!" Tears welled up in her eyes. "But listen, we can't give up! Not for anything! This is only just beginning, and we can make it out. I promise you, we'll make it out together. Just please... Don't cry. I don't like to see people cry." She smiled at her and gave her a quick hug of reassurance.

Natalie clung to Sebastian's arm. "I'm really glad you and I are together and didnt get separated, Sebastian."

Natalie was holding back tears. She didnt act like a child, and she wasn't a child. Sebastian seemed to like that, so she couldn't just break down and cry. She glanced over at Lexi and Stratana. Stratana seemed really frightened. "Poor girl..." Natalie thought. Then she stood closer to Sebastian. Everything had gone so... Wrong... Her things had been left behind, so she had nothing except the money in her shoe (which she always made sure was in there just in case). She sighed and clung to Sebastian's middle, still attempting not to cry at all.

"Yeah, well ... Me too, kid. Don't want to do this to you guys but ... Left me no choice." David drove off and Frank packed up the train and it started up, pulling out of the station.

They were left standing there in the dark. The lanterns went out as the train left. That was eerie. Erik reached into his back pocket and pulled out his lighter. He flicked it and the flame danced in the dark. His finger tapped in the air and he did a quick head count. "Everyone's here," he said, more to himself. The light went out and he slipped it back into his pocket. Erik hooked his thumbs through the belt loops and leaned against to the pole. He remained silent for a minute, listening to the sounds of the night.

"Sean... are we gonna die?" He turned to see Jenna standing with Sean in the dark.

"Not you. Hero Remember?" Sean told her.

Erik shook his head and patted the small blond girl on the top of her head. "No one is going to die." His voice was soft and comforting. Brown eyes drifted across the group and he raised his voice so that everyone could hear. "We're all going to be just fine. Things may look bleak right now, but I honestly think this is better than chancing it with another stranger and ending up somewhere else we shouldn't be, or worse." He stepped over to the wall across the station and pulled the lighter out again, searching for a map on the wall. There was a phone in the station, but upon further inspection he realized it was a payphone. Erik groaned internally, not wanting to show his frustration to the kids. He let the light die out for a couple minutes, not wanting to burn his thumb on the heat of the metal band.

"Is that a map?" came a familiar soft voice to his left. Maria was standing beside him, peering over his shoulder at a glossy image on the wall. "Will you flick the lighter again?" He did so and watched as she took a slow step forward, squinting at the framed map.

    "Can you see?"

"Yeah, just give me a minute. I'm pretty good with maps. Compasses on the other hand..." she trailed off. Maria seemed remotely better. He watched her sway a little and set a sturdy hand on her shoulder. "Thanks," she muttered. "We're right here," she pointed to a marker on the map that represented the train station. "Judging by the measurements down in the corner here, Lightbrooke is about two miles from here. We should probably get walking..." He watched as her forehead creased.

"Are you going to be able to walk that far?" he asked.

"I'll be fine," she muttered and he watched her move over to the others.

"All right," he announced loudly, "We're heading out. Lightbrook isn't too far away. Once we get there I can get us a couple rooms for the night on my credit card and then we'll all be heading home in the morning. No more of this crazy nightmare." He readjusted the straps of his backpack and stepped out of the dark empty station to the road.

(*) Train Station (*) Mood: Worried (*) Music (*) Outfit (*) OOC: This is slowly becoming a horror movie (*)
Alex was utterly shocked by what had just happen. They were pretty much ditch at a ghost town with little options of what to do. Why does this feel like were in a horror movie. Forest Fire, sinking ferry, being kicked out a inn and now this. Either there luck was bad or someone had it out for them.
"But listen, we can't give up! Not for anything! This is only just beginning, and we can make it out. I promise you, we'll make it out together. Just please... Don't cry. I don't like to see people cry."
Hearing Lexi's words gave Alex some reassurance, even if they weren't directed at him. Right now the worst thing that they could do was panic, doing that would only make it harder for them to focus on a idea. It was clear that Lexi wasn't going to panic and he wasn't going to either. It was the least he could do since he's only talked to a few people.
    "All right,"
Much like he did with Kevin back at camp, Alex turned to listen to who called out to them.
"We're heading out. Lightbrook isn't too far away. Once we get there I can get us a couple rooms for the night on my credit card and then we'll all be heading home in the morning. No more of this crazy nightmare."
Good, that was a relief, they were actually planning on leaving this ghost town. That was good, he just wanted to get away from all these surprises right now.

Adrian could not believe it. Were they actually going out there? There seemed to be no other option. He sighed, and got off his butt. He looked at Pierce and asked, "Are you coming?" giving her a small smile of reassurance. Strangely, Pierce was the only thing in this entire hell that calmed him. Adrian didn't looked stressed, but his insides were curling in anxiety.

He steps off and looks around. It was a dark, foggy street, where a lone, abandoned train station sat on the side, utterely lonely. A cold wind blew across his neck, but Adrian didn't look cold. He looked down one of the streets. The fog obscured his vision before he could count the vision distance as one mile.

He looked back to the station. There was some chance that they might find some supplies, maybe even a flashlight or a phone. But there was also a slight chance that danger was nearby. Adrian shrugged. They will have to take the chance.
