Adrian got on the trolley as soon as it came, shoveling in with Noelle and Pierce. He sat next to Pierce, by the chance of opportunity. But strangely, Adrian ignored the fact that he might make her nervous. Instead, he sat there on the seat right next to Pierce, not letting out a word.

Adrian closed his eyes. He thought that maybe if he hung around Pierce, but not converse with her, she might get used to it, but if she went red another time, he would back off completely. His thoughts strayed from her to his own thoughts. He felt depressed, considering that he lost his sister not just more than a day ago.

He sighed, keeping his eyes closed. He suddenly felt mad at himself. If he didn't pull off that stupid little frog stunt when abandoning ship, Toni would still be here. But, if he hadn't pulled the frog stunt, he would've sank to the bottom like a teabag. He gave up on what he could've done, finally leting the fact sink in that Toni was meant to die on that very day. It had been set in stone all along.

    Hi there,

Noelle was surprised when she heard a stranger's voice. Taking a few steps back, she came into view of a kind-eyed boy with light hair. She could recognize him, but didn't remember his name.

Oh, hi! Her voice was a bit tired, but there was still a fire lit in her tone. It had been a while since she really spoke with someone new-ish. Honestly, she would have to start doing a better job at remembering names ... I'm sorry, am I in your way?

Just in case, she backed further up against a cabin door to make a bit more room. It was ridiculous, how cramped everything was. Was it really that difficult to figure out where to sit? They were literally the only passengers, and standing around wasn't helping anybody ...

Lexi raised an eyebrow at Stratana. "Whether you act on them or not doesnt matter to me." She walked to the trolley behind everyone else, not wanting to alert them of what was going on. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I like you, but I'd be fine just being your friend. It's not a huge loss, and you said it yourself, we can be best friends."

It was true. Lexi did want a friend. She hasn't had one since she killed Nina. No one ever found out, but she was afraid they would. Traci had even tried to speak with her, but Lexi just didnt want to.

Natalie giggled. "I'll tell you on the train." Then she poked his nose and skipped off, eager to see Lexi again.

At that point, Lexi was approached by the same kid she had bumped into before. "Oh, hi! Um... Alex, right? Yeah! You're the one I bumped into in front of the bus! How are you?"

Richie shook his head with a chuckle at the girl's response. "No, you're fine. I was actually just hoping we could talk..." He really hope that didn't come off as creepy. "I-I mean, you seem nice to talk with is all. It's been awfully lonely and stuffy with all that's happened, so seeing a friendly face like yours is very refreshing." His smile was bright and genuine. She seeme- wait, what's her name?

"Oh I'm sorry, I forgot to ask you your name," he said with a slightly embarrassed tone. This was good though, this interaction, because she hadn't walked away by now. Maybe she didn't even notice his rather unfortunate appearance. With that thought in mind, he quickly adjusted the towel around his waist so it was even tighter. Now of all times would not be good for the towel to loosen and fall.

James didn't even have to return to his room. Being kicked out and told to grab his things did remind him that he was upset for losing his case to the water, he sighed, it was too late now to cry about it, but he would later. He took two more biscuits with jam sandwiched between the bread out the door and into the trolley and ate it while they were taken to the train station. When they arrived he cleaned himself up and willed himself to not think about his clothes poor condition and just thought about changing into fresh comfortable clothes at home.

James did frown a little when he made a brief notice on the fact that such a tiny place even had a station, after all he didn't remember seeing or hearing about the station here while he was in school. He slowly shrugged it off, it must not have been important enough to be mentioned. Still, the ferry should have been enough transportation, but he guessed that the train was a good back up if the ferry captain decided to crash their boat into another boat on a clear and bright sunny day just after the passengers escaped a fire. The more he thought about their situation, the more upset he got. Getting on the train was easy, they were admitted with no questions asked, so he settled himself in a booth and began to wait for the food cart to come his way.

As he waited for that to happen, he found himself missing the playlists on his phone, and in turn he found himself wanting to sing and so, he shut his room's door and settled near the window to began a haunting but beautiful Italian lullaby. His mental system sighed in relief, similiar to a stressed out junkie getting their fix. It felt good to sing. Now if only that damn cart would come.

Ah, it's Noelle, she smiled. It was really nice of him to try talking to her. Not very many people reached out like that anymore. Still, she found herself diverting her gaze to the entrance of the train, hoping Bryan walked through. After a few minutes, she visibly deflated and redirected her attention fully on the boy before her. Her smile spread into a genuine one when she noticing what he was ... Wearing. Man, he was kind of adorable. She wondered if he was older or younger than she.

I forgot yours, too, honestly. ... Ricky? It didn't feel right, but. You're so friendly, it's sweet. .... Maybe we can talk a bit later! I'll come find you, later on during the ride? I'm waiting for my brother, Bryan.

She scrunched up her nose, feeling a bit like a baby. She hoped she didn't come across as rude, by they were standing in the middle of the hallway.

...Noelle seemed a little distracted. Her eyes seemed to pass through him, like she was expecting someone to appear behind him. He supposed it was a good thing, because at least she wasn't focusing on him. Maybe he was boring her though? She was kind, and she didn't seem like the person to just come out and say something like that.

His smile grew wider when she incorrectly guessed his name. He giggled a little. In a way, Richie found it somewhat endearing. "It's Richie, nice to meet you!" The boy allowed his laugh to become louder, just enough that Noelle would be able to hear it. He didn't want her feeling awkward or uncomfortable about her wrong choice.

Ricky was a nice name though.

Then, the girl announced that she was on the search for her brother... her brother, Bryan. Richie felt his heart throb at the mention of his name. They hadn't talked at all while they were at the inn, or the thing. Cocking his head to the side slightly, he replied, "Oh of course. Good luck finding him!" He waved to her as he shimmied past her. Before he took a seat on one of the nearby chairs (they were in a hallway after all), he added, "Can you tell him I say hi, and that we should talk again soon please? Thank you~" His voice was sweet and almost melodic as he politely made his request.

With that settled, Richie happily took his seat and clutched his clothes to his chest. He crossed his legs and slumped in the hard, plastic chairs. It wasn't very comfortable, but it was at least more comfortable than sitting upright. He sighed a joyful sigh and took in everything calmly. The train wasn't very crowded, he noticed. It seemed like the only people on the train were... them. It made him feel a little uneasy, but he brushed it off and relaxed.

    MOOD AMUSED / ANNOYED❤!! NOTHINGWEARING
    OOC . . .

As Sophie barely paid mind to the others in the trolley, she came to realize that she was a bit disappointed they were leaving the island. Sure, it was definitely suspicious, but how interesting it was didn't escape her notice.

Hah, wouldn't it be something if the trolley had some sort of strange accident as well? She half-expected something like that to happen -- was that a bad thing? Perspective was a misunderstood concept in many ways.

Cane had seemed pleased to see them all go, which was a bit of a breather from the rest of the kooks of the island who only seemed too happy to have there. She was maybe going to miss her snappy and snarky attitude. Sophie was going to have to make a note to write about Cane later.

A huffing and puffing voice joined the crowd on the trolley and Sophie looked up with some intrest to see a flushed-face Bryan looking like he'd just had the run of his life.

She wondered if Quentin had gotten on the trolley yet. The Trolley Song ( "'Clang, clang, clang' went the trolley." ) began to play in her mind as she visualized Meet Me in St. Louis. Judy Garland could really sing, couldn't she?

With everyone else, Sophie made her transition to the train and found a secluded seat ( luckily ) by a window, listening to the incessant chatting around her.

Noëlle had kind of left him standing in the hallway, which didn't make Bryan feel the best, but he didn't really think he could do anything about that. All that was left was for him to follow Tucker to the clinic.

He walked out of the inn just in time to see Erik walking into the clinic and wondered why he was going there. "What happenened?" he heard Erik asked, and one of the physicians replied. Erik looked and maybe felt more worried than Bryan did. Bryan didn't know Maria that well, but maybe he did. He listened to the reply from the older man and looked anxiously towards the room Maria was in.

He sure hoped she was okay. Bryan didn't even know what was wrong with her to begin with, but he thought it couldn't have been anything good. He listened in on the conversation, taking a seat next to Tucker and was glad to hear that it wasn't anything serious. Oh . . . Amnesia? Right, right -- she didn't remember the ferry sinking.

Ack, a mild concussion . . . Bryan thought with a bit of worry, It wouldn't be very good for her to sleep, then?

Bryan stood on attention when the woman in the pink scrubs came, and next to her came Maria, looking mostly okay. Bryan sighed with relief. The nurse whispered something to her, and then she came to them.

After a bit of conversation, Bryan knew they had to hurry or they would miss the trolley and train. Cane seemed really happy to have them all out of her hair. Bryan split from the group, grabbed . . . Well, was left of his stuff, and then jet downstairs and to the trolley just in time for it to go. Some of the girls around him giggled at his slightly dramatic entrance, but he looked around for Noëlle, not haven't any real success finding her until they boarded the train.

"Noëlle," he called, worming his way through the crowd to get to her. He saw Richie talking to her and tried to get his attention too, but he ended up walking away before Bryan reached his sister."H - Hey," he began a bit breathless, "Sorry, got caught up at the clinic. Looks like Maria is gonna be alright!" he commented, "I didn't know you were friends with Richie -- he was in my cabin, y'know."

She was about to give up and just find a seat on her own when she spotted Bryan making his way breathlessly down the hall.

Sorry, got caught up at the clinic. Looks like Maria is gonna be alright! I didn't know you were friends with Richie -- he was in my cabin, y'know.

Her lips formed a frown. Richie was sweet, but ... well, maybe a little too sweet, when referring to Bryan. It was most likely her imagination, though. She tended to exaggerate such things when her brother was around.

He says hi, and would like to talk to you, soon, she murmured, lowly. The sound of the horn blared again somewhere ahead of them and she smiled. Will you sit with me? You can leave later, if you'd like, but I think we should talk while we can.

It was a little less comfortable talking to Bryan than it usually was but maybe with their talk, that would be resolved. Instead of waiting for him to answer and leaving room for another interruption, she took his hand and lead him through the dissipating group of students and into a cabin.

The door slid open effortlessly, which surprised her a bit considering how thick it looked, and there was a lock from the inside.

Noelle locked the cabin door, placed her bag down and took a seat across from Bryan. Her fingers fidgeted nervously in her lap.

... Sorry. I know I was a little pushy, maybe, but ... A nervous glance out of the window alerted her that the train had started moving now and that they were on their way home. That brought her a bit of comfort. ... Hear me out, okay?

"He says hi, and would like to talk to you, soon," Noëlle murmured and Bryan wondered if he should move to say hi to Richie real quick, but decided it against it when his sister talked again. "Will you sit with me? You can leave later, if you'd like, but I think we should talk while we can." Yeah. While they could.

"'Course," he told her with a smile, not feeling any sense of awkwardness. She suddenly took his hand and led him into a cabin where they sat across from each other.

". . . Sorry. I know I was a little pushy, maybe, but . . ." The train had started moving before she continued. She looked a little fidgety and Bryan wondered why, ". . . Hear me out, okay?"

All of his big brother protective instinct alarms started going off at once, and he tensed up, worrying that something might be wrong with her that she was reluctant to tell him. He took a moment to relax and smoothed out his pants, "Sure, what's up? Is everything okay?" He just couldn't refrain from asking.

Quentin's clothes came back a while later. He had been getting very impatient with nothing to do. He had tried to get his MP3 player working to no avail, and had balanced his coins on the nightstand several times. He couldn't use his potion. He couldn't even leave without wearing something. I want my sketchpad. The arrival of the clothes was something. He got dressed in a huff and made his way downstairs, just in time to be told to leave with the others.

He threw his key toward the counter without breaking his stride. He had something to do. Finally. I have to catch Noëlle . . . and Sophie. He wasn't sure how he felt about travelling by train, but he figured it was just as safe as the boat. Hah, isn't saying much. Ah, well. I've survived two disasters already. He still felt silly about the whole thing. He ambled out the door and toward their exit strategy with a devil-may-care confidence.

He couldn't find Sophie, but he found Noëlle talking to the same counselor from that morning. He was happy to see that she had a cheerful expression on her face. I'm glad she's feeling better. I wonder if he told her . . . He smiled wide. She was adorable. He moved to approach them, but they stepped into a private cabin, stopping him in his tracks. Bu-but . . . His shoulders slumped in disappointment. Now what?

He took the seat nearest to him, across from an Aryan boy from Bryan's cabin. The boy looked friendly. Quentin managed a hello before going back to sulking.

This wasn't the easiest thing to talk about, and bringing it up seemed nearly impossible now that he was right in front of her. There was so much she wanted to say, but ... She wasn't sure how to begin with any of it. The fire, how she had felt abandoned with him switching rooms that night, the loneliness of the ferry, and that strange doctor ... Then there were some deeper things, like how she had been feeling about him for years.

No, that would have to wait for about another lifetime.

Noelle had no kind of ... Incest fetish. It was no kind of sexual fascination -- or phase of curiosity (well, she did want him, but it wasn't because he was her brother). She wasn't sure how she would view a friend or another family member if they partook in such a thing, or if it would disgust her, and if she were honest, she genuinely didn't understand why it was so taboo.

It was normal for little girls to admire their big brothers, right? Especially when they were as charismatic and affectionate as Bryan was. Things hadn't always been sunshine and sparkles between them, but Bryan was always there for her. When they were younger, he was her best friend as well as a grade A Playmate, and when they got older, the admiration just ... Never faded. Miraculously, they never entered that bratty puberty spawned sibling hatred, and pretty soon -- with no close friends of her own -- Bryan had consumed her thoughts completely.

She couldn't imagine being without him some day. The thought of him being married with children, away from her, made her blood boil.

There had been a time when she had really tried to get close to people. Failure after failure had driven her deeper into her acknowledged brother-complex and now .... Well, now anyone else was just a distraction. She wanted him to love her. She wanted him to need her, to crave her, to hold and kiss and touch her -- the thought of him really loving her drove her nuts! Maybe it could have been anybody, if the circumstances were different, but it wasn't. It hadn't been. Noelle knew who she wanted.

Terrible thing was he might never know. Not unless she sucked it up and tried out that love elixir she had purchased. She knew it wouldn't work as it was meant to, but even if it was just an aphrodisiac, seeing him squirm and watching his face flush in just that one instance -- warm, green eyes on her -- that would be enough. It would be even better if he took her in that moment, like an animal--.

Her cheeks went red. That wasn't very appropriate. She closed her eyes. Before any of that, she needed to talk about this ... Incident.

Mm ... Well, she began, softly. The train rumbled around them and she mentally thanked it, as it would hopefully drown her fragile voice out to any eavesdroppers. The other night, during the scavenger hunt, I ... Well, Alice got sick. I offered to take her back to the camp circle and ...

Man, this was hard! Her eyes were already burning with tears as guilt overwhelmed her and panic swelled.

I took us to a clearing, to have a smoke ... I dropped the match I was using and ... Everyone went up in flames s-so quickly ...! I hadn't meant to, I swear. I just. ...I went to go tell Alice we had to go, but there was a bear and I ended up running and the fire ... She was shaking, and all somewhat perverse thoughts of before we're wiped clean from her mind. Alice never came back. Alice was dead, she finally concluded. It was her fault. The poor girl had been so terrified, and instead of making it better like she tried to she killed her.

I don't know what to do, now. I'm scared of everyone finding out. I'm scared of everyone blaming me. I'm scared of confronting Alice's family, and I -- I'm really afraid of what you'll think. I've been feeling so distant from you lately and I wanted to tell you the night it happened but we didn't share a room. I ju-just don't know what to do." She lifted her eyes and wiped her tears with the back of her hand. "I need help ... Please don't hate me, please. I know it's my fault I just ...

Richie turned his head as he noticed Bryan finally approach Noelle out of the corner of his eye. He manage to overhear Bryan mention him (which made him smile slightly) and Noelle tell him that he said hi. Then, she took Bryan's hand and led him away to another part of the train. Hm, maybe something big was going on between them? The way Noelle looked when she spoke about him, how she'd get all flustered when he wasn't around... could she-?

It wasn't any of Richie's business anyway.

He looked at the empty seat across from him with shallow eyes. Someone appeared and took a seat. The boy's eyes quickly shot down to his lap to avoid eye contact. Like a young child, Richie slowly picked his head but until he was again looking at... Quentin! He let out a sigh of relief as his smile returned. He heard him utter a hello, to which Richie replied, "H-hey there. What's your name?" He stuttered slightly as he spoke gently. It would probably freak Quentin out if Richie knew his name before they'd even ever met. At least in his mind.

This was the first time they properly met, and he was dressed like this...? How embarrassing.

Stratana went on alert mode with Alex around. Was it because she didn't want her newly formed secret to be revealed just yet or...like, ever? Or was she starting to get jealous with Lexi talking to another guy? She figured if it was the second, then she was getting way in over her head, because the first thing that came to mind was: Cupid's Brew. Why would she want to use it on Lexi though? She'd gotten it to have fun and play god with boy toys, not to actually attract someone so she could be happy... did Lexi make her happy? ... yes... a soft and trembling "yes" popped into her mind. She knew she had it in her bag still... what was she going to do? She was going to wait until she saw any clear and pleasant..no, not pleasant...oh! Present danger... in Alex. She watched them both with eagle eyes, waiting for Alex's response.

Sean did not enjoy the lecture he was given as the duo of Sean and Jenna stood together in the Dining Car. Conspiracy theory after theory spewed from Jenna's mouth like mad. Not just the Bentley ones either, but dozens of government and even ones about extraterrestrials. Eventually, Sean had had enough.

"Right about now, "Danger" is the last thing I want to think about. I need a rest from it!" He shouted louder than he meant to, frightening Jenna in the middle of a story where she claimed to have known someone who knew someone who knew an El Chupacabra.

Jenna was on the verge of tears, and immediately after, following clearing his nostrils of hot air, he apologized. But Jenna was still scared even when she said "It's okay."

Sebastian took Natalie to a secluded cabin, as the. "So... we're on the train, and I believe you had something to say. Frankly, I'd like to find out what the truth is." He didn't press up against her, he didn't invade her space. The worst he did was give her a sultry stare into her bright big eyes and closed the cabin door behind them.

As Julius crossed his arms and sat along with the others, the appearance of Cone soon caught his attention and he listened to her words. Hearing them only made the man close his eye and chuckle at the girl. Unlike most of the people looking at her all confused at why she was so rude, Julius actually like the girl's little personality. He had to admit he would have been a bit pissed off if he had to share his own inn for free to a couple of freeloaders. Julius wouldn't deny that he was a freeloader, and since they were offered a way out Julius gladly took it.

Julius wasn't that thrilled about taking a train after the little incident with the ferry, but he knew that the kids needed to get home and Julius would do what he needed to get them there. From the look of it, it seemed he was the oldest one of the group and though he admit he had almost zero knowledge as a counsellor, he still had to take responsibility. Being a counsellor didn't mean crap at the moment since right now they were not in some sort of camp, but in a serious situation where kids were lost and separated from home.

With a sigh Julius walked into the train and took a seat nearby the window and glanced out of it. Trains were fast moving vehicles and Julius wondered just what they would do if anything happened to the train. Julius shook his head and sighed with a smile as he realized just how paranoid he got and let out a yawn as he continued to stare out the window.

Erik slumped down in the seat across from Julius and sighed. His bag fell to his feet and he leaned back against the wall, rubbing his eyes. He allowed his body to relax, but only slightly. Worry lines etched themselves into his face and his muscles were rigid with tension. He didn't look at the older man. His eyes were shut and his chin pointed up towards the roof of the train as it pulled out of the station. They were going home, or so he wished to believe. It was starting to feel like they would never get there. Some unseen force of nature wanted them all to suffer relentlessly.

He kicked his shoes off and stretched his legs out in front of him. Erik couldn't take any more time spent with the kids, not right now anyway. He needed some adult company. Things were seriously wrong and they needed to arrange a way home for all of the children once they arrived in Candlewood. He felt like he couldn't rest or relax until all was said and done. He hadn't eaten anything and most of the previous night was spent jumping up from his spot on the floor to check on the status of Maria. His head bobbed up and down with the rhythm of the train on the tracks and he inhaled deeply. His chest rose and fell slowly as he began to nod off, but sleep wasn't permitted, not now.

His dark eyelashes fluttered as he opened his eyes. The brown in them moved to Julius across from him and he cleared his throat. Erik wiped his hand across his face in an attempt to wake up better and rubbed his eyes again. "Do things still feel weird to you?" he asked him, "Because I can't help but feel as if this nightmare isn't quite over." He hunched forward, resting his elbows on his knees and clasping his hands together. His shoulders sagged and brown hair hell in his face like a veil. Everything seemed so wrong. From the moment Garth took command, things were off. The kids probably would have been better off at camp risking the chance of running into a bear.

"H-hey there. What's your name?" Quentin sighed and looked up at the boy. Upon further inspection, he seemed a little too focused on Quentin to be a stranger. He raised an eyebrow slightly. I don't know you. "Quentin." He wanted to talk to Noëlle, but if this boy could distract him, he would welcome it.

The boy's demeanor was still friendly, his vibe cheerful. He was pretty, the type who could get what he wanted from women if he made an effort. The boy's clothes were . . . not there. He was wearing nothing but a towel. What have we here? Quentin smirked.

He almost forgot his manners. "Yours?"

    "Yours?"

The blonde-haired boy smiled at Quentin as he replied, his voice wavering, "Richie, nice to meet you." He watched as Quentin's eyes scanned his bare body. His smirk made Richie blush slightly, causing him to turn his head slightly to the side. Hopefully Quentin wouldn't spot his rosy cheeks.

Why did he always get so nervous talking to his crushes? It was natural, sure, but it happened too often. Okay... talking with Quentin for the first time is a perfectly acceptable reason. But what about with Bryan? The two had talked on and off throughout their time together at the camp and the ferry (which the thought of made Richie shiver slightly), but every time he'd always been nervous. It was just... weird. That feeling when your heart drops into the pit of your stomach... the feeling he felt when he was around Bryan and Tucker. And now... he began to feel the same feeling around Quentin. Richie looked back up at him, not caring if he noticed his blushing face.

The two fell silent. He needed something to talk about, before their interaction faded. He then noticed the expression on the blue-eyed man's face; it was one of sadness. The poor thing looked like it was sulking over something. "H-hey... um, you don't seem very... happy. Is something the matter...?" He wanted their first talk to be something meaningful, something that both of them would remember... what was he thinking? He couldn't make a move on Quentin, not for a while... maybe not even ever. Not on him, Bryan, or Tucker. As far as he knew, all of those attractive and kindhearted men could be as straight as a ruler.

    ...But then again, maybe not.

Though it was barely noticeable from his face, Alex definitely glad that Lexi responded to him. For someone like him, talking to a girl of his own accord was a milestone, which made him very proud on himself.
Congratulations on talking to a girl.
This was one of those few moments when he didn't care that his voice said something to him. Still if he continued to dwell on this then he might miss his window of opportunity. He would have to say something now.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine. How've y-you been?" Alex asked. That was when he noticed the look that he was getting from the other girl. He knew that he didn't know her and yet she was staring him down like he did something wrong. "Um, c-can I help you?" That seemed to be the quickest way to find out her reasons.
When the train arrived, he decided to take another chance. "Mind if we sit together?" His voice was being quiet, not that it would matter right now. If it had said something, it would just be a compliment on how he's acting now opposed to how he usually is.

Maria took slow careful steps. The pill bottle rattled in her pocket with every sway of her leg. Everyone seemed to be seated by the time the train pulled out of the station except for her. Even with pain killers, each step with her left leg seemed to jostle her injury and cause pain to swell in her side. Her lip was swollen and purple for biting it so hard and long to try and hold back the tears. When the train had lurched forward, her effort had almost been wasted. She missed a step and narrowly managed to catch herself on the wall, but not without a shooting pain radiating up her side. Maria took short shallow breaths and pulled herself together long enough to enter one of the private cars and lower herself onto the bench inside.

She slid down the wall of the bench until her whole body was stretched out on its surface, her left side up. Curly blond hair fell in waves around her face and hung off the edge of the bench. She was tired, but the words from Nurse Amy bothered her too much for sleep. That creepy old man doctor was a little more handsy than she thought a doctor should be and it was unsettling. They just kept staring at her like some foreign object and a chill ran down her spin. She shivered, which caused more pain in her side. I could really go for a sweater right about now.

It was silent and lonely inside the private cabin. The door was left ajar, but the narrow hall was vacant of noise. The only sound in the room with her was the rumble of the train and the occasion horn blaring. She wished for something to do--music to listen to, someone to talk to, anything really. Maria didn't like being alone. She enjoyed having people swarm her and give her attention. Being sick or injured had its benefits in that matter, but not right now. At the moment she was alone. The look on Bryan's face before she collapsed, the panic in his voice before everything went black, it was beautiful. He was so filled with concern and she was all he and Tucker were focused on. It would be better if the circumstances were different, but beggars can't be choosers. She would have to earn his adoration over time, but time was limited. Their time together was being cut short. We should exchange numbers! The cheerful voice of his pink-haired sister drifted through her mind. Ah. We did that, didn't we? A small smirk tugged at the corner of her lips as her icy blue eyes stared vacantly at the floor. That was advantageous. She liked them both, but definitely Bryan more.

Spending time with Noëlle would be a perfect opportunity to get to know Bryan better--to get to know both of them. She wouldn't be particularly disappointed in either of them, but Maria was pretty certain Noëlle only liked bo--had she ever seen the girl with a boy that was not her brother? Her head hurt thinking about it--not often, she assessed. Interesting. I wonder what she does like. With all her belongings lost to the ocean like Rose's necklace, she would have to ask Noëlle for her number once more, or some other way to contact her.

The summer would provide for her the long days necessary to worm her way in between the brother-sister duo. Noëlle was still in high school, so anything that happened there would not last long. On the other hand, she was starting her freshman year of college in the fall and Bryan his sophomore. Where was he going to school again? She wasn't really sure how she felt about long distance relationships, or relationships in general for that matter. They never seemed to last. Maria wasn't even sure she wanted a relationship, but running her fingers through that soft brown hair and caressing that creamy skin of his was too much to pass up. From what she knew, he seemed to have a lot of admirers, which just wouldn't do.

She sighed and the movement pulled on the butterfly stitches holding her cut side in together. Her hands fumbled for the pill bottle in her pocket and it slid out, landing on the floor. The steady vibration from the train caused it to roll out of reach and she gave an exasperated groan. She just wanted one. One, in addition to what was already in her system, would be enough to dope her up into the necessary drug induced stupor that would help her sleep the rest of the train ride. The pain would be gone and she would be too out of it to notice how cold she was. Because of the dress she had been wearing, she was currently lacking a bra. Maria draped her left arm over her chest to cover the evidence as the cotton tee clung to her body. Goosebumps encased her flesh and the chill tickled its way up and down her spine. Her toes curled in as they burned from the cold. Maria wished she could curl up to try and get at least a little bit warmer, but anything tighter and she was bound to start bleeding again, not to mention the severe pain that would surely accompany.
