Maria . . . Are you alright? Bryan asked, making his way over to her, You don't look too good, That was an understatement. She didn't feel good. We're at the inn that couple led us to yesterday, don't you remember? The ferry sank and we all almost died . . . Maria stared up at him blankly.

The bedroom door opened and a familiar pink-haired girl came stepping out into the hall. So that's who's room it was. Good morning, everyone! ... What's going on? Noëlle greeted them.

Maria stared at them in confusion. The ferry sank? The vague memory of clinging to a table flitted through her memory, but was gone as soon as it came. ...Morning. She returned the greeting. It... sank? she looked up at Bryan. Her long blond lashes fluttered as she tried to concentrate. I don't... it hurts... She swallowed and held her side. I keep trying to remember and it hurts my head. Maria sounded like a small child, not her usual cool confident self. The pants hung loosely around her waist and she reached down to pull them up. My side hurts really bad. I don't--Bryan?

She reached out and grabbed his arm. I feel... fun...ny... The hallway started spinning and a warm liquid began to trickle down her side. Her legs were trembling until her knees finally gave out beneath her and she collapsed beside him. Everything went black.

ooc: sorry for shorts posts lately, not feeling well :c

He breathed out a sigh of relief, hearing the boy's respond. "Thank God!" he grinned at him, "I thought the bandage on your head was something serious. My ankles kind of hurt but mostly, I just tired myself out from... uh, yeah... last night." he muttered the last few words, then swallowed again nervously.

As the two continued to talk, a female voice pitched into their conversation. She didn't look like she was having a good day - not just because of the tragic events that were occurring, but she didn't look well. She seemed drained and worn out. Tucker's eyes widened at what she began to say. 'What's going on...?' Did the girl not remember anything? Bryan was the one who spoke first, with him not being speechless unlike the cherry haired counselor.

Before Maria could have reacted, which took some time, another young female joined in. Pink hair. It was Noelle - the younger sibling of Bryan. Filled with concern towards Maria, he gave Noelle a small wave and a gentle smile. He was about to answer her question quickly but Maria had finally responded to them. She spoke stuttering and with pauses in between. Tucker decided to keep his chestnut eyes on her, his concern rising for the poor girl.

The 21-year old pieced together what happened next. The words that came out of her mouth were barely audible, she didn't look well and she complained about pain. By the time she reached out to grab Bryan's arm weakly, Tucker stepped forward. The girl succumbed to the loss of energy and gravity at the same time, falling next to Bryan. Before she could, however, Tucker reached for her and grabbed her by the waist and shoulder gently, almost cradling her even. He looked at the two siblings, swallowing again for a moment, before he worriedly spoke the words he never wanted to say "We have to go to the clinic."

OOC: (My bus arrives in ten minutes.) EDIT, later @school: I actually did get to fully do it before the bus came, and I got to format it. It's done.)

Stratana bit her lip in reply. "I... Well you saved my..." She sighed. "It's not just that. Normally, people hate me; hard to believe I know." She gave a confident flip of her hair, cementing her for the moment as a bit of an airhead, but quickly recovered her credence. "Even when they're nice to me, it's because they want something from me, but you didn't have to do what you did; you didn't just save me, you saved a lot of other people too. I was just a equatorial save." Again, her serious tone was marred a bit. "Then you open up to me, and I realize: I should hate you." Tears started to well up in her eyes. "But I don't, and even though that, like, confuses me, I can't ignore that either. Even though I've known, like forty billion guys, I've never felt like this." She pressed the hands close to her heart, because she could feel it tensing up inside her; a new feeling for too.

She looked off in another direction rather than look at Lexi for this next part. "I'd like to say I didn't have sex with at least half those guys, but that's kind of hard to say, because that's all they were after in the first place and I didn't care enough to think any different-" She cut herself off; her tears had choked her throat, and she tossed her head into her pillow, her face wet with salty stings of realization and grief.

"Iunno." Was Sebastian's reply. 'You're cute and I like you' would have been his reply if he could manage the words, but he was tired of being called a creep. "I usually tend to care about people, but no one seems to ever care. You seem to care, so helping you out feels right."

Adrian stood up, grabbed his plate, and dumped the leftover scraps in the trash.
"This is just stupid." Adrian said as he disposed of his plate, "I can't eat with being reminded that I lost someone."

He climbed the stairs quietly, not emitting another word, as well as for Pierce's sake. She went redder than a tomato after his little whisper. He entered the lobby and asked as to where he could get fresh air without needing to leave the Inn, and was told that he could go to the garden. He went to the door, and entered.

Bryan gave Maria a concerned once over, trying to figure out what was wrong with her. She looked pretty faint . . . Maybe she was dehydrated? Or she hadn't eaten too much recently? Low blood sugar? He didn't know what to think, and there wasn't much room to say anything because the door behind him opened, and he spun around.

"Good morning, everyone!" Bryan bit his lip at the sight of his sister. He wanted to talk to her now, but there was a bit of an emergency at hand. It would have to wait . . . " . . . What's going on?"

He looked back to Maria who looked confused by the thought that the ferry had sunk yesterday and Bryan didn't understand how she didn't remember. It had been pretty scary, and he knew he wouldn't forget something like so quickly! "It . . . sank?" He frowned. There was definitely something wrong with her. "I don't . . . It hurts . . . I keep trying to remember and it hurts my head . . . "

Maria then mentioned something about feeling funny and the color was pretty much drained from her face as she grabbed Bryan's arm. She collapsed. "Maria!" Bryan exclaimed reaching to grab her, but before she could, Tucker was already on the scene, gently holder her around the waist and Bryan sighed with a bit of relief.

"We have to go to the clinic."

Bryan nodded as he motioned for Tucker to go ahead, and then he turned to his sister. "Maria's sick," he frowned, "Just kinda . . . popped up here. I don't think she remembers anything. Are you okay? Feels like we haven't talked much at all . . . " He grabbed her hands, "You know you can talk to me whenever you wanna . . . Oh. A boy named Quentin, he told me to tell you hello." Bryan gave a small smile.

"We should get to the clinic, for Maria -- unless you don't wanna come?"

O-okay? Aislin responded in a bit of confusion. She hadn't thought that what she said was confusing. Pierce pressed her lips together and furrowed her brow in concentration. A-Ah I forgot to introduce myself. Sorry. My name is Aislin and I like ducks.

Pierce glanced around, not realizing until then that some of the people with them might not know each other. Um... Pierce, she added in response to Aislin. Humor played at the corner of her lips. Ducks were super cute.

Um... um... ignore that... last... part...

Another figure entered the dining room and her face paled. It was a tall blond boy and he wasn't wearing anything except for a towel and slippers. She dropped her head and hid her face behind her hand so that she wouldn't risk an awkward and inappropriate stare. He had quite the audacity coming down to breakfast so under dressed. Her heart thumped rapidly in her chest and she pushed the empty plate away. Pierce was ready to disappear in the depths of this inn and never again see the light of day. This morning was too much, and this boy was definitely making the tip of the iceberg with his act of indecency.

This is just stupid. Adrian said as he disposed of his plate, I can't eat with being reminded that I lost someone.

That snapped her back to attention. She watched as his vibrant red hair disappeared out of the dining room. What was he talking about? No one had been reminding him of anyone. Who did he lose? Her rich brown eyes glanced around the room doing a head count. Not everyone that she had seen the night before was present for breakfast at the moment. She hadn't seen Toni around. Did his sister not make it? A slight gasp of horror escaped her and her hand flew to her mouth. The girl had to have made it. Certainly she was around somewhere and Pierce just hadn't seen her yet. She slumped back in her chair and her shoulders fell. Pierce couldn't help but imagining how pathetic she must have appeared to everyone else.

Tucker nodded at the younger counselor, holding Maria more securely. He cradled her into his arms as he got to his feet. He glanced back at the two siblings, Bryan began talking quickly to Noelle. It made him smile for that moment on how great an older brother he must have been to her. How great a family they must have been back at home before all of this... Quickly, he turned to face forward again and hastily made his way down through the hall and down the steps. His chestnut eyes filled with concern as he looked down at the fragile girl in his arms. She reminded him of a chinese porcelain doll right now - utterly beautiful, but so easily broken. Like, what was even happening to her? He really hoped she was okay.

The 21 year old glanced at the dining hall as he passed it. He saw many students up and socializing - which was nice. It was good to see the others weren't too frazzled. He didn't wave to them, obviously, but nor did he send anyone a smile as he passed quickly - he usually would, to you know, kind of give the send off that everything was alright, there was nothing to worry about, but the young male didn't really find himself doing that. He was much too worried about Maria right now, but also, the thought of going to a clinic began to get to him. He could feel his heart racing and his jaw clenching. He didn't dare slow down his pace, this was far too important for his fears to come over him.

As he exited the inn and crossed to the clinic, he gulped down a big knot in his throat that quickly traveled down to his stomach - but there was no time for any of that now. He used his shoulder to push the doors open before rushing into the clinic as he walked forward and yelled, "She needs a doctor A-sap!" It took a second for the clinic to absorb what just happened - it probably looked like those scenes in the movie where the couple or the father and son just came from a car crash and one of them was badly injured and had to be carried to the nearest hospital. Nonetheless, the doctors quickly came, bringing a bed where Tucker - with the help of some doctors - placed her on it before they got to work on her on the spot.

A doctor stood from the huddle of other doctors and walked up to Tucker, as the others rushed her off to a room. "What happened to her?" The cherry haired counselor swallowed again nervously, "She was here last night for sure. She remembers nothing of last night. She fainted. That's all I know." he answered quickly, barely taking a breath and with a different tone than his usual. He didn't look at the doctor either, who then responded "Well, I was busy with others. I'll find someone who worked with her last night and perhaps they'd be of better help." Before the doctor could make his way back to the hall in the clinic, Tucker reached forward for his arm, stopping him from moving forward. He looked at the medic fiercely, before uttering "You better."

The doctor only responded with a really nervous, half-scared look on his face but nodded anyway and pulled away from the counselor. Tucker watched him go without a word before releasing a really big sigh and taking a seat in the nearby chairs they had for people who were waiting. He buried his face into his hands, simply breathing - quite heavily, kind of the one that one would hear if someone was crying. Shaky, heavy breathing. But the young adult didn't cry. He wasn't going to, not in front of the doctors he didn't trust or in front of any students or counselors. He didn't want to be there but he knew he wasn't going to get up and leave. A feeling of responsibility fell on him. He wanted to make sure Maria was okay.

    WEATHERFOGGY 52°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 6/18/2013 - 10:35AM ✖『DAY』 04

Tucker greeted her with a wave, but both his and Bryan's attention lay mostly on the ... clearly disoriented Maria. The blonde-haired girl was obviously not in the best shape, and within a few moments, she went slack and fell. Tucker caught her swiftly, and Noëlle felt disgusted with herself for being grateful that it wasn't Bryan who had.

We have to go to the clinic.

Tucker's bright eyes were wide with worry. A quick glance towards Bryan confirmed that a similar thought process was going through his head. Before she could say anything, specifically about what had happened to her last night, Tucker was heading off with Maria in his arms and only Bryan was left. She thought the he would maybe stay with her, and they could finally talk properly, but ...

Maria's sick, just kinda . . . popped up here. I don't think she remembers anything. Are you okay? Feels like we haven't talked much at all . . . You know you can talk to me whenever you wanna . . . Oh. A boy named Quentin, he told me to tell you hello. His warm hands took in her cooler ones and she closed her eyes with a deep breath, fully prepared to return to her room with him to discuss the fire and how she felt. It was strange to her that Quentin had gone out of his way to say hello to her, but it was ... kind of sweet, though not at the top of her list of concerns.

    Hey, Bryan-- ...

We should get to the clinic, for Maria -- unless you don't wanna come?

Oh. Understandable. She was 'sick', or something. Selfish, Noëlle. Disgusting, Noëlle.

Her hands dropped slowly from his grasp and she locked her eyes onto the staircase leading to the first floor. There was no way she was going to that clinic again, hopefully ever.

... Nah, I'm kind of hungry, actually. Haha. You guys go on ahead. Maybe we'll talk later!

Without looking at him again, she folded her arms over her chest and descended down the stairs swiftly, nearly tripping on the last one. Her nose led her to the breakfast room (which was a bit too 'personal' for her) and she quickly sat and made a plate. Her eyebrows furrowed and her nose crinkled up, a whirlwind of unpleasant thoughts floating in and out of her head.

I should find Quentin. I should say 'hello' and ask him if he needed anything. It's sweet he's making such an effort -- though it'd be vain of me to assume it's because he ... may be interested in me.

It had been so long since anyone confessed to her, and she had been so distracted with her pathetic attempts to blur the lines of 'sibling-ship', with Bryan. The thought of others -- Quentin, Marina -- having some kind of interest in her excited her. Made her feel normal, less like an incestuous freak of nature.

    Ack ...

The food was good and reminded her of holidays at home. Before she could finish it (or talk to Quentin), though, the slightly-grating voice of last night rang out over the sound of a hand bell.

Cane stepped into the breakfast room with a cigarette tucked being her ear. Two long, spiraling curls of her dark hair swayed free, while the rest was braided down her back. Noëlle wondered it if was real.

She wore brown boots laced up to her knees, a long, billowing black skirt, and an off-white corset.

    Inappropriate.

Good mornin', kiddos. It's about time you get the hell out of my Inn. You got lucky with Patrick ... the rest Bentley ain't so friendly. If I had found you all bobbin' about in the ocean ... Well, in any case, I've been told to send you back home to ... Candlewood, was it, on the train. She paused, a smile spreading her lips and her eyes glimmering like diamond daggers. Don't worry about the tickets, not that a bunch of freeloaders like you would botha'.

Without making sure they were all done, Cane slapped the hand-bell down on the table and started to gather the dishes.

There are two scheduled trains that'll take you deadbeats home. ... What are you waiting for? Go gather yer shit and go!

Suddenly, something came over Lexi. She walked back to Stratana and pulled her in for a long kiss. "Shut up, okay?" She smiled. "Let's go get breakfast." She took Stratana's hand and led her to the breakfast room.

Natalie looked at Sebastian. "Can we go downstairs and see if Lexi's there?" She got up and walked to the door.

    -----------

During breakfast, Cane came to them and basically kicked them out. Lexi groaned, but nonetheless went to gather her stuff. She dragged Stratana with her the entire time, not letting her out of her sight. Then she proceeded to wait outside the inn for Natalie. Who knew where the little girl had gone?

Natalie had barely made it to the breakfast room with Sebastian, when Cane told them to get out of her inn. "Well, guess we better get our stuff, eh Sebastian?" Natalie skipped back to her room and picked up her suitcase with her good arm. She waited for Sebastian in there, a bit sad that her time with her new friends had been cut very short.

Alex was actually surprised by just how many chances he had to interact with someone. Fortunately his inner voice was being silent, which made this all the better. Now he wouldn't have to worry about it bothering him.

After hearing what Adrian had said, he thought about it for a moment before he realized who he was talking about. Toni, she was missing from this picture. No wonder he was acting like that, it was his sitter that he lost. It must’ve hit him pretty hard.

What fresh hell was this. Had she woken up completely off the bed or something. She was practically kicking them to the curb. Who does that to a bunch of kids?! Still, something told him that if they didn't leave, she would only be worse than what she was now. Since he'd finished eating, he headed back to his room and grabbed his things.

When he got outside the inn, he saw that he wasn't the only one here. It was expected but it was Lexi that was there, not some other person. This was his chance to actually talk to her and that's what he did. "H-hello Lexi." He said.

Aislin was confused by the reaction. Had someone done something wrong to make this woman angry? It may or may not have had something to do with all of them being dropped off at once, but Aislin really had no idea.

She didn't have anything because she lost her things on the ferry. What she did have was a soaked wallet, her iPod shuffle, a dead trackphone, and a coupon in her pockets. Other than that it was just Aislin and her lone working hand.

Aislin decided after she turned in her room key to Cane that she would just wait outside. When she got outside she looked around at the town from where she was standing and was not used to seeing little to no cars driving around. I didn't think it was that small of a town...

Erik watched in shock as Tucker ran out the inn and was headed across the street to the clinic. There was something in his arms and he realized the familiar shape to be the camper he had escorted back the previous evening. He gave a hasty word of departure to James before following after Tucker and out the front door of the inn. Erik crossed the street quickly and found the red head sitting by himself in the waiting room. He took a seat beside him, scuffing the feet of the chair on the floor. The younger counselor looked stricken with panic and he set a reassuring hand on his shoulder. “What happened?” He listened to the reply and a few minutes later one of the physicians appeared from down the hall. “Well?” he asked the man in an accusatory manner.

As I told you last night, she’s fine. I did what I could last night to bandage her up. We only have Novocain for an anesthetic given that we’re a clinic and she had been rather uncooperative so proper stitches could not be used. Butterfly stitches aren’t meant for a cut like that. They don’t hold as well since they only rest on the surface.” The man shook his head, salt and pepper hair was smoothed back so meticulously that it did not seem to be bothered by the motion.

So why did she faint,” Erik immediately piped in. Tucker didn’t seem to be in a state for asking questions, or much anything else.

Exhaustion I’d say. She needs to rest. Her body needs time to recuperate and that can’t happen if she’s up walking around or moving too much. Did you get the pain killers I had sent over?

Erik nodded slowly, his features tight. “Yes, and as for the amnesia?

The man sighed, clearly not enjoying the constant berate of questions. He glanced down a clipboard that he had been carrying and pinched the bridge of his nose. “Stress. And a mild concussion. She said something about it coming and going in patchy waves, as to be expected. After some rest and trying not to focus too hard on it, it should all come back.

She’s awake?” he asked incredulously. Erik hadn’t expected her to regain consciousness so soon.

Yes. Nurse Amy will bring her out in just a minute. When I left she was cleaning up the streak of blood that ran down her side and wrapping her up in a new bandage. I highly recommend getting her to a hospital when you get back into the city. She’ll need proper stitches or she’ll just keep ripping her side open and bleeding, which I can assure you will be rather painful.

Erik nodded as the tired looking physician moved to the reception area and set the clipboard on a rack with some others before disappearing back down the hall. He sighed and rested his hands behind his, leaning back against the wall. “See. We’re all good,” he said, not really sure if he was trying to reassure Tucker or himself. They had already lost so many people in the last couple days. Even with camp gone, he felt responsible for all of them. He was the one with the most experience. Sure, Julius was older, but he had been a counselor for a day. Even Bryan had more experience given the fact that he had been a camper in previous years.

A woman in rose-pink scrubs came walking out to meet them. Her brown hair was pulled back into a tight bun, but the curls in her hair were visible still. Her features were weathered in she looked to be in her mid fifties. Pale blue eyes had sunk into her face and large rimmed glasses seemed to cover up most everything from her nose to her dark eyebrows. Day old makeup circled her eyes and the smell of vanilla mixed with antiseptics wafted off of her; beside her stood a dazed Maria.

She didn’t look quite as pale as the night before. Her body still looked small and frail in the clothes that didn’t belong to her and a small patch on the side of the white shirt was a dark crimson where the popped butterfly stitch had leaked blood through the bandage. She gave a sheepish wave to them and the nurse bent down and spoke so low and softly in her ear that Erik couldn’t make out the words. Her features turned hard and rigid as she nodded slightly.

Maria looked curiously over at them before taking careful steps not to further injure herself. She looked in pain, wincing with every step. Her blue eyes seemed to shimmer with determination and she stopped in front of Tucker. “They said you carried me,” was all she said to him. He couldn’t quite read the look that crossed her face and he ran his hand through his hair as he always did.

We should get back. It’s time we all left.” He wasn’t really sure how that was happening, given the fact that he ran out before hearing the announcement, but they were leaving—one way or another. “Do you need help walking?” She shook her head no before taking slow careful advances towards the door.

When they stepped outside, he noticed a small familiar brunette girl standing outside the inn in a sweater that seemed to be a little big on her. “Pierce,” he started, “What’s going on?

She glanced nervously from him to Maria, and then finally Tucker. “Leaving,” she said matter-of-factly. “The innkeeper said to grab our… stuff— a look of disdain crossed her face, “—and get out. W-we have tickets for the train. Trolleys are coming…

He nodded at her and gave the girl a quick pat on the shoulder. Erik helped guide Maria over to a bench to sit and wait. He told her to lie back on the cool cement surface while he ran inside to grab his backpack and the pill bottle that had been waiting on the nightstand. It only took him a couple minutes to run up to the second floor, gather everything up, dump the key cards on the front desk where an unfriendly Cane sat, and then hurry back outside. He joined the small crowd that was beginning to form stood near the injured girl.

Stratana tagged along with Lexi the way down to dinner thinking, 'She kissed me back... And I didn't feel repulsed...' She couldn't stop thinking about it. Did she want to hold her hand? 'Maybe it might feel alrigh-' Lexi grabbed her hand at that moment, and It. Felt. Awesome! Like she was going to melt whenever her fingers wrapped around Lexi's. At breakfast, however, she tried to keep as much distance as possible, while still remaining close to...this girl. Then came the bad news: Basically, a group eviction notice; Cane was kicking them out of the inn. She didn't have much time to groan however, as Lexi dragged her back upstairs to go retrieve their things. At breakfast, she hadn't eaten much, almost as though that empty hole that plagued her stomach had been filled.

Up in the room, she gathered up her effects and heaved them onto her back. She felt all wobbly and light-legged; but bloated to. She couldn't get over how crazy her once perfect life had gotten: she wasn't adored for once by everyone, she had to gained at least ten pounds, and now she was in love...? With a girl?

Once they were outside, Stratana said quietly, "Lexi... I want you to know, I'm pretty confused right now. I think I have emotions for you that I didn't think were real... but I'm not ready to say "I love you" or anything. Just know... in a short amount of time, just by meeting you, I've fallen harder than I ever have..."

Sebastian gathered up his effects and looked at Natalie. "Trains make me uncomfortable. The ferry didn't help." His answers were brief. "Something about this whole "ordeal", for lack of a better term makes me uncomfortable. So uncomfortable, that I feel like asking this:" He closed distance to Natalie so that they were face to face. They were alone in their own room, and he was so close, he could feel her breath on his face. "How do you feel about me?"

    "Shiii-"

"Sean!" Jenna caught him, just following Cane's speech.

    "take mushrooms." Sean grumbled.

"I say good riddance." Jenna whispered into Sean's ear by standing on her tippy toes on top of her chair at the dining table they shared. "I didn't trust this place anyway."

Later, up in the room, it took Sean longer to gather up his things sprawled about than it took Jenna to pack up. However, with all that in hand, they ventured out together for the train station. Sean felt his stomach drop. Nothing about this felt right, and he almost sensed that Jenna might have been right all along. These thoughts flooded his mind as he took his spot with the others outside, keeping Jenna close at hand.

Aislin had been zoning out for not too long when the corner of her eye spotted in what her eyes could potentially have been the cutest male she had seen outside of a television show. Why hello there handsome... mmm I just wish you didn't have that hair color.
Aislin saw the boy talk to Pierce, who was helping a girl to a bench, then he disappeared off into what she assumed was the Inn and then she watched him appear again, "Well well well, how did I miss that gorgeous face walk through the camp..." She had spoken to herself, but if someone had really wanted to acknowledge it she wouldn't have cared. At this point she wanted to know that boy's name... or man. For all she knew he was a councilor. Whatever age he is just...

Adrian came out of the garden just in time to see that the lobby was active. It seemed that the everyone in his posse was being evicted. He shrugged. Since he didn't bring any stuff with him, he was more than happy to go outside. He was surprised to see that some people were outside already, waiting.

He also saw Pierce talking to another one of the counselors. Adrian would have naturally said a comment, but he didn't for another of reasons, one of them being that he didn't have the energy to, and another because he knew that Pierce got embarrassed easily, from what he could gather.

Adrian also saw Aislin staring out the counselor. Interesting. She must be thinking the guy's cute. "I wonder what Pierce sees in me." Adrian thought to himself. He went up to Aislin and asked quietly, "I'm sorry if I'm interrupting your daydream of the counselor, but do you mind telling me what have I missed in my absence?"

Aislin's eyes shot from the gorgeous man to a familiar face from the cabin, "Oh hi Adrian. We um, got kicked to the curb and we are all heading on the train home." She pointed towards the inn and spoke, "If you had anything I'd get it before Cane throws it away. Not saying I am not grateful for her letting us stay and all... but if I were an innkeeper at a small town I'd have thrown stuff away when people had seemed to leave."
Aislin then turned her hand and spoke, "We are waiting for an um... trolley?"

    WEATHERFOGGY 53°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 6/18/2013 - 10:53AM ✖『DAY』 04

xxxCane was really, really rude, but Noëlle kind of liked her -- kind of. She had an interesting personality, at least. That's why she wasn't too offended with being asked to leave. Without a word of complaint, she stood and made her way back upstairs. Her clothes were feeling a bit less damp now, but they were still uncomfortable. She regretted not asking the temperamental Cane if there was some kind of dryer, last night.

The gather-her-belongings mission didn't last too long, since she only had her bag. When she made it back downstairs with the heavy, damp thing swung over her good shoulder, she plopped the room key on the counter and stepped outside into the cool, foggy air.

A somewhat harsh breeze stung at her stocking covered thighs and made her sigh out. It was supposed to be summer, but a nice cup of hot chocolate would be excellent.

She hadn't been in the best of moods lately, but she was beginning to crave social interaction. Too much time alone and too many thoughts running through her mind hadn't been good for her. She was growing a bit cynical ...

Even so, when the pale orange and pink trolley arrived, she entered alone. She had never been on a trolley before. It was a bit childish, but it seemed like a lot of fun, and she wanted to sit by Bryan during it (she ended up taking a seat alone). The guy driving the thing was a cherry-cheeked fellow with moss green eyes and dimples. He welcomed them all inside cheerfully, and took off as soon as everyone was inside.

They drove straight for a bit, and Noëlle was sure the drive would have taken much less than thirty minutes if they hadn't had to stop for every single pedestrian walking in the middle of the street. She sighed and leaned back, fiddling with the ends of her green jacket until they arrived.

The tooting of a train horn caught her attention and she lifted her gaze. The train station was far too large for the scarce amount of people she actually saw around. There was one train puffing smoke out of the top, and a conductor stepped out of it, smiling and waving across a platform at them. Noëlle waved back politely.

It was ... odd, that there was a train specifically for them. She wasn't even sure where the train station at Candlewood was, or if it even existed.

Regardless, she stood and grabbed her bag, thanking the trolley driver (whatever they were called) and stepping down onto the red brick parking lot. This town was a colorful one, and it might have been lovely, had the people been nicer and less eerie. It was an experience, though. One she would journal about later. Until then ...

The heels of her sneakers felt unsupported along the uneven brick, and she was grateful for the smooth blue-painted concrete of the platform. The smell of dough hit her nose, but she was stuffed from breakfast. Still, it was a curious thing, and she wondered if there was a bakery somewhere nearby -- like the one in the hospital.

    That hospital ...

    Her shoulders slumped.

The conductor had already been expecting them, so they were able to walk right through the ticket counter and board the train. Now there was the issue of where to sit. Her heart wanted to find Bryan, and share a cabin with him -- alone -- while other emotions (mainly stubbornness) tugged her back and forth between finding Quentin, Maria (if she was conscious) and going off by herself again.

It was bound to be a long train ride, and someone to cuddle and socialize with would be nice. Sucking it up, she figured she should stop avoiding her brother, and turned around in the rather cramped hall to wait for him.

Bryaaaan, she groaned childishly over the mild flood of students and counselors, hoping he would show up soon.

The innkeeper, Cane, had used a more colorful word than 'stuff.' Pierce wasn't the biggest fan of swearing, so whenever she could substitute, she did. She waited anxiously by the older girl who was reclining on the bench. Did something happen to her? It didn't take long for Erik to return and to that she was relieved. She seized the opportunity to slip away from the others and stand a little ways away by herself. There had been too much stimulation for her today. As rousing as the conversations had been, it was something she was not used to. Conversing wasn't a strong suit of hers and it had completely exhausted her. It required work to hold up a conversation, at least on her part it did.

Her sweater was stiff and heavy on her body. Hang drying clothes always left them feeling brittle. It was not the same as letting them tumble in a dryer. She was just grateful that it was dry in the first place. It was long enough to almost pass as a dress and it helped keep her warm given the cooler temperature that seemed to be in this island town. She inhaled deeply, still catching whiffs of sweets and baked bread. This town just smelled so deliciously good, but it still gave her some uncomfortable vibes. Pierce plopped down on the ground waiting for the trolley to roll up. Some of the others still weren't out front. She hoped they wouldn't be too much longer, because she definitely didn't want to miss that first train ride and have wait until later to catch the second.

The trolley arrived not long after and she sat by herself, staring out the window as they went. People crossed the streets on occasion which delayed their drive time to the train station. She didn't care, as long as it meant they were going home. The window fogged as Pierce sighed heavily, waiting for the ride to finally end. When the station came into view, she smiled happily knowing they were finally getting out of here.

She tensed her tiny body and weaved in and out of the others. The conductor was waiting for them. Peculiar that they didn't even need the tickets that Cane had mentioned were paid for. One would think that the conductor would want to make sure they were all together and no one had slipped in that wasn't supposed to be there. Pierce shrugged it off and boarded the train.

Anticipation began to build. It was her first train ride and she was kind of excited. She walked down the tight corridor before finding a vacant spot to sit and took a seat. Pierce curled up on the bench, pulling her knees in close to her chest and peered out the window. How long would it take for them to get back to Candlewood by train? Would the fog slow down their travel time? She hoped not. Her fingers picked at the cuffs of the sweater. It was bound to start unraveling soon if she didn't stop.

Richie[/url] pushed through the slur of (previous) camp-goers, looking for someone to talk to. His brief time at the inn was a lonely one, and he craved social interaction. He spotted someone who was calling out Bryan's name. Who was she? She looked awfully familiar, but he just couldn't put a name to her pink hair and shimmering blue eyes. He noticed the bag slung over her shoulder and sighed softly as he approached her calmly.

...When the green-eyed boy headed back to his room, the only things he grabbed were his disgusting clothes and his room key. Shortly after he handed the key to the receptionist, Richie was torn between whether or not he should keep the clothes. He'd probably never wear them again, and yet he felt some kind of emotional attachment towards them.

    How odd.

He ultimately decided to bring them along since they were at least semi-dry. Besides, he couldn't wear this pale blue towel forever. He stepped onto the... shit, what were these things called? Ugh, he couldn't remember... not that he cared much anyway. At least the operator was nice. He took a seat next to some random individual towards the front of the... thing.

The ride to the train station was bumpy, and awkward. He had no one to talk with, and everyone he did know was either sitting too far away from him or already engaged in conversation. The ride took much longer than Richie expected, much to his dismay. At least it was finally over as the thing skidded to a halt. His miserable excuse of clothing tucked under his arm, Richie stepped onto the train.

...Overall, his experience at... wherever this place was, wasn't one of his best. These memories would surely be ones he'd try to forget just because of the sheer boredom. Even recalling the events that happened so far today made him depressed. This was absolutely... ah, he didn't even have a word for it. All he knew was that he was not enjoying himself.

The girl in front of him seemed sweet enough to talk with. Hell, even she wasn't, at least he'd be talking to someone. "Hi there," he said kindly. He looked down at his wardrobe awkwardly, and was already regretting this. Richie would surely come off as totally weird. He'd probably never speak to whoever this was again. Still, he kept a weak smile as he shuffled his feet, waiting for her reply.
