"I... Uh..."

She smirked. "You plan a date, and I will work with your clothes and make up. I'll teach you all you should know, but then, after that, you need to do whatever I say."

"Well... Uh... It's just that... this is REALLY out of my comfort zone..." It honestly was. The prospect of throwing herself at a guy just because she was dating him wasn't very her. The way Cel made it sound though, it was her last hope. In a way, she was right. What else was she gonna do? Alex had seemed to enjoy kissing Estelle, so she'd just have to be more enjoyable.

"Do we have a deal, kiddo?" Cel said with a smirk.

Natalie looked at the ground, then back at Cel. "...Yeah. It's a deal." she said grudgingly. She felt like she had just gotten herself into something she'd regret at a later date. But it would seem worth it if she got Alex back. She might also end up giving Estelle a piece of her mind. It wasn't just gonna go away. She would have to make it go away. Natalie hoped Estelle had a good excuse for doing w\hat she had done, because she'd need it.

Tucker laughed. He apparently found it as funny as she did. That was good. She wasn't sure her joke would go over well and things were still pretty touch and go. He smiled before replying, ❝ Sorry, sorry. I'm just not taking my chances, you know? With how much of a klutz you are?❞​

Excuse me? Her fork froze halfway up to her mouth and she raised a brown eyebrow. ❝ You are a much bigger klutz than me.❞ she told him. How could he even call her a klutz? Maria was significantly more poise than him. ​

​

After another bit of laughter, he swallowed and cleared his throat, ❝ But okay, I haven't been able to look around much either. Walking sounds good! Whenever you're ready.❞ he smiled and leaned back in his chair.​

​

Tucker was suddenly waiting for her to finish eating and it made her self-conscious for taking so long. She swallowed down the rest of what she could rather quickly. When her blue eyes caught the sight of the server in her peripheral, she flagged him down. The man nodded and was coming back with the bill. He had started to hand it to her when Tucker seemed to realize what was going on and snatched it away with a grin on his face. ❝ I'm paying! Least I could do to make up for all the time we haven't spent together.❞ He sounded sweet, but it only left her feeling nauseated. Paying for one breakfast wasn't going to suddenly make up for what happened between them. ​

She forced a smile back on her face as he paid the bill and the tip. They got up to leave the dining area and tension seemed to twist up her insides once more. He placed his wallet back into his shorts pocket, ❝ Ready to go?❞ he asked.​

​

Maria nodded. They walked out and the bright sun warmed her skin. The pair started a lap around the building and all the huts. There was a good deal of space between the both of them that gradually became smaller as they walked further. Things were quiet for a long time. An awkward tension had settled between them and it made things impossible for any sort of conversation. As they reached the backside of the resort, Maria noticed a sign for a walking path. She pointed to it and looked over at Tucker. ❝ Wanna go up there?❞ she asked. The map on the sign showed that it would lead up the hill. When he agreed, they turned down the dirt path that wound its way through a forest of trees.​

She stepped closer as the path narrowed and birds chirped in the distance. The sun wasn't as bright in here and the humidity was stronger. Maria brushed her bangs out of her face and stepped carefully over a large rock in the path. She looked up at Tucker then back down at her feet. Something needed to be said to break the tension, but the only thing on her mind would probably lead to more drama and pain. She sighed and stopped walking, glancing up and down both directions on the path to make sure no one else was coming. ❝ Can we take a break?❞ she asked him. It wasn't that she actually needed it, but it just seemed like the best way to get anything out there. Maria sat down on a large boulder slightly off the walking path and stretched her legs out in front of her. She leaned forward, touching her chest to her knees and inhaled slowly. As nice as it would be for them to be friends again, they couldn't so long as Tucker avoided the major issue.​

❝ Tucker,❞ she said his name as she sat up. Her blue eyes drifted up to his and she could see hidden there in his face that he was still in pain. ❝ I'll always be a better actor than you. If you still don't feel well, you should have said something.❞ That wasn't exactly what she had been planning to talk to him about, but it was a start. She ran her tongue over her bottom lip and wiped away at the thin layer of sweat that coated her skin. Her eyes met his and she sighed. ❝ What were you going to say yesterday? Before you started to get sick? I don't really think we can be friends again until we've acknowledged what I told you.❞ He hadn't said anything about it so far. ​

I said, 'I love you' and then I ran away.​

It was only that mere moment that Julius realized that he was in bed with a girl . True there was nothing sexual about it, but regardless it was still a fact and for some reason he was fine with this, he didn't really mind and he was slowly getting used to it. He really liked it and it just made him think even further about things. "The doc said I should rest in bed for a good while" Julius said before turning his head and glanced over at her "But if you want...we can skedaddle out of here and do something" Julius said with a smile.

"Things have been so confusing for me lately...I've never met somebody like you" Julius said closing his eyes "Every time we meet is an adventure...sure I do a lot of ridiculous things but hanging around you is another level" Julius said chuckling as he held her hand "So tell me...whats the deal between us? are we just friends? acquaintances? or something else?" Julius said opening both eyes slightly looking down.

Lennox shook her head. ⌈ No, no. You should stay here and feel better. You wouldn't be as much fun like this, ⌋ she replied. It was true, after all. He would just be in pain and discomfort the whole time. How could she tease him like that? There was nothing funny about picking on someone who was already suffering.​

⌈ Things have been so confusing for me lately...I've never met somebody like you. ⌋ Julius said while closing his eye. Aw, how sweet. She liked that she was confusing his soul. ⌈ Every time we meet is an adventure...sure I do a lot of ridiculous things but hanging around you is another level. ⌋ He took her hand in his. Was he saying that she did were ridiculous? Because Lennox would have none of that. ⌈ So tell me...what's the deal between us? Are we just friends? Acquaintances? She was surprised to see both eyes opened. It caught her off guard. Lennox met his gaze and looked at the difference between the two eyes. His right eyes seemed out of focus and more dull than his left. It was the first time she had seen what lie beneath the eye patch and to be honest, she had expected it to be hollow or fake. Lennox squeezed the hand he was holding and slid in as close to him as she could get. ⌈ Well I was hoping we could be something a little more than friends or acquaintances. I have enough acquaintances and I don't particularly like my friends. ⌋ She leaned in and pressed her lips to his again. ⌈ I like being this close to ya, and I don't really care for being this close to anyone. ⌋​

Hearing that she was sick was understandable, though even if she wasn't it's not like he was going to hold it over her head or anything like that. Well he wasn't quite sure what was the best option for them to do. They could try tennis. It would definitely have him feel better to fail in front of his girlfriend rather than professionals. Then again, he had no clue if she'd even played it before. ​

"We could go play tennis." He suggested. If she wasn't up for that, then they still could go for a hike or something like that. The resort did have plenty of options to do after all. All they would need to do is to find something to do that suited both or at least one of their tastes.​

Julius was honestly surprised to have seen that Lennox had not agreed with his claim to leave the medical ward. He had been expecting the two of them to run off and do shenanigans but it seemed the wild Lennox had actually chosen to hold back because of his condition. It looked like when she wasn't tormenting him she could actually be pretty sweet. He glanced up at her eyes as she held his hand tightly and in return he held hers tightly as well.

She wanted to be more that acquaintances and more than friends, it was what he wanted as well. Their lips pressed against each other, but unlike before there was no shock. It was true that he never anticipated it, but at the same time it was the outcome he unknowingly desired. "I feel the same way...I've met many people...and said many farewells...I've never gotten close to anybody really...but its different with you" Julius said shifting his body to the side as he used his free hand to brush away the hair from her face. "Then its settled..were more than friends.." Julius said with a smile "So...with that settled wanna do? I know you don't want to be in a dull room like this so why don't we leave...I'll be fine" Julius said keeping his hand on her cheek.

JULIUS was looking into her eyes and Lennox suddenly felt this spark that was different from everything before. She had been legitimately open about her feelings and looking at Julius made her kind of nervous. He had told her the other day that he was interested in her, but he was also older and significantly more mature that it made her nervous. What if he looked at her now and thought of her as just a kid still or something and told her she was just wasting her time. It was a real concern. She liked to be in control of the situation and right now she felt awfully vulnerable.​

⌈ I feel the same way... ⌋ Oh. That was good. She exhaled in relief. Julius continued, ⌈ I've met many people...and said many farewells...I've never gotten close to anybody really...but its different with you. ⌋ He shifted his body to the side as he used his free hand to brush away the hair from her face. Lennox smiled at him and felt strangely comfortable. Even with Julius touching her, it wasn't excessive or unwanted. It was nice.​

⌈ Then it's settled..were more than friends.. ⌋ Julius said with a smile, ⌈ So...with that settled, what'd you wanna do? I know you don't want to be in a dull room like this so why don't we leave...? She felt her heart rate quicken in her chest and she shook her head. ⌈ You said I would just make things worse and you actually look like you're in a bit of pain. ⌋ Lennox poked him in the chest and gave his hand a squeeze. ⌈ I don't mind staying like this. Then, when you're all better, we can run off and go on lots of wild adventures. ⌋ She rolled onto her back and made a wide half circle with her hand to accent the word 'adventure.' Her voice took on a less serious tone and was light and dreamy. ⌈ We can go out on that boat ya bought which sounds exhilarating and we can play volleyball and go swimming and get married and go on a hike and drink a lot of liquor and ... ⌋ Lennox mashed her lips together and her brow wrinkled in concentration as she tried to think of more activities they could do when Julius wasn't injured.​

The playful and mischievous voice of Lennox was now gone and as more and more he listen to the girl, the more he saw the softer side to the girl. He liked this side of the girl, but at the same time he liked the mischievous side of her as well. It gave her a unique character that he just liked so much and made exciting. When she spoke about how he said she would make things worse for him he felt some guilt for saying that despite merely joking around.

She was fine with sticking around him and with the head pain he received from the accident he was more content letting it rest. He watched her speak and it just brought a smile on his face to see such enthusiasm. Together they were sure to have many grand adventures and Julius was sure of that, but one thing she said immediately made Julius' eyes widen for a second. He was sure he heard her speak of marriage and immediately he was going to say something about, but couldn't really as he listened to her speak on. She seemed so happy with what she was saying and he really didn't want to interrupt her.

When she took her pause to think up more things Julius merely closed his eyes and began to laugh "Come now Lennox we have lots of time to do all that stuff" Julius said looking back at her. "I'm not going anywhere..we'll have as long as we want to do as we please...you don't have to think about it all now" Julius said.

The walk had been excruciatingly quiet. He really tried to keep the chipper mood he had started out with in the morning but he couldn't seem to keep a conversation with her. He could barely find himself to start one.

Now, they were seated by a big rock as Maria asked for a break. He agreed and rested his back on one of the trees. He looked around at the forest. It was truly beautiful. These were the types of places he loved the most. Surrounded by greenery, secluded, far away from human beings - far away from those who could hurt him, or rather, those he could hurt.

❝ Tucker,❞

He snapped his head back towards he at the call of his name. He wore a small smile on his face as their eyes met. ❝ I'll always be a better actor than you. If you still don't feel well, you should have said something.❞ He was about to laugh, amused by her first statement, but he worried that she actually noticed that he still wasn't feeling well. Tucker had tried his best throughout the entire day to hide the weird shivers he felt.

❝ What were you going to say yesterday? Before you started to get sick? I don't really think we can be friends again until we've acknowledged what I told you.❞

His smile quickly disappears and he looked elsewhere for a moment. He knew what she was talking about. Right before he finally openly complained about the attack-ish pain he felt from yesterday started, he had said "I don't know about that." That being Freya. To be exact, how Freya made him happy. It slipped from his mouth before he even realized it but that was because he was true. At that moment he just didn't know if he believed what Maria said about her. For some odd reason there was this feeling of... feeling of incorrectness. For a moment, thinking about Freya in that sort of way made him feel awkward. It made him feel wrong. It made him feel- "Ow."

Pain. The sudden pain he felt again in his chest caused him to slip up once more. He quickly cleared his throat, hopefully she didn't notice, "Um, yeah..." he started blindly. He didn't know what to say. He was caught off guard. To buy him some time, he walked over to her slowly and stopped in front of her. He looked from side to side to make sure no one was around. Though this didn't help on buying him time at all apparently because he still had no idea on what to say.

'I just I don't know. Like, don't don't know.' his chestnut eyes made their way to her blue ones. Despite how icy and cold they seemed in the warm climate, he felt a strange but nice feeling. It was weird but the good kind, it was a very familiar feeling but he couldn't remember where he had felt it before. It was like he knew he could tell her anything and everything. It was quickly accompanied by the painful shiver but he continued to try and ignore it and before he could stop himself yet again, his thoughts became clearly audible.

"I-I don't know what to feel anymore Maria... about you... about Freya-" his chest tightened painfully, but ignoring it, he squatted down to meet at Maria's level, "E-everything is just beginning to... to turn upside down or something. Even if it hurts, I can't forget a word you've said to me. I can't ignore it. I'm waking up terrified but I can't remember any of the nightmares as I usually do. I've broken my phone and I don't even care! The only reason I brought it was so I could text Freya and even though Erik offered me his to text her, I haven't. I don't... I don't really want to talk to Freya."

Another sharp pain ran through his side, as if someone had punched him quickly in the ribs. It made him shut his eyes for a second and wince but he looked back up at Maria and kept going cause he suddenly couldn't seem to stop, it was probably the pain the surged in him that gave him the adrenaline, "It just feels wrong. I don't even want to send her a t-text- ahh, but all I can think of is you. I want to spend time with you here at the resort a-and when we're together I know it's awkward but for me, right now, it feels right."

The pain grew around his torso. It felt like long needles were being pushed through him. From squatting, he dropped on a knee and sat, propping an arm on the raised knee to try and keep himself up. "And I-I just don't get it. I know how I am. You know how I am. After that first day I would have probably caught a cab back home if I had to but here I am- with you! And I swear I didn't force myself to be here. I wanted to." his fist clenched tightly as he winced again, groaning after as his chest felt so tight he swore his heart was beating so fast and air wasn't going into his lungs properly but he didn't stop, "A-and something feels missing and I know it's not Freya- uuurgh, I don't know what it is and I want to know what's making me feel so empty-" his head began to spin, he hd to put a hand on the ground now, "-and I feel like the answer's with you. I don't know what's telling me this but when I'm with you it just feels right. I-I don't know what's happening, everything is just so hazy and confusing and weird. I can't ignore it. I really can't - expect for today, when we were at breakfast-" he coughed, "and walking-" he coughed again, "I didn't think about it. I-I didn't-" and once more, "have to because-" another cough, "it suddenly didn't feel empty."

She appeared on the court, now in her Tennis outfit. She smiled at him. "I wonder if he's good." Seraphina said as she stretched. She got her racket, and bounced the ball a couple of times. "Are you ready Shane?" Seraphina asked him. "I haven't played in a while, so I'm a little rusty." Seraphina said to him. She bit her lip, trying to think of how she was going to do this. Cel smirked, and then went into her clothes bag. She laid something out on the bed."Here, Try this on." Cel Said, trying to fake a sweet smile. She took her makeup out of her bag . "We'll do your makeup, and reserve a table at the dining hall. He won't be able to resist you, then you take him back here..." She said to her, giggling. "Then, after that, you'll deal with that 2 faced ****. I have an idea...." Cel smiled evilly. ​

"There are tons of boys on this island..." She said laughing."If you can find someone to hook up with her... we could get her to fall in love and then I'll go in and mess it all up. Or even better, after you know she's fallen for him, kiss him... in front of her." ​

"It would just... break her heart." She said, her voice dripping with a fake sweet tone.​

"That part of course will take some time, but that's what we should do." She explained. She loved this. This was the best idea she could think of. Her heart was pounding fast from the rush of being... well herself. Cruel. Evil... "Whatever you want to do. Just let me know and we can start. Partner." ​

Natalie looked at Cel. "Um... that's a bit far isn't it? Alex and I haven't even been together for a full year!" She was blushing furiously at the thought, even if it did seem interesting enough.

THERE was laughter from beside her and Lennox could feel the rumble of Julius's body as he chuckled. She wondered what was so funny and rolled back onto her side to look at him. ⌈ Come now Lennox we have lots of time to do all that stuff. ⌋ And? She wanted to make sure there was plenty of things for them to do. No moment could be a dull one! He turned back to meet her gaze once more before saying, ⌈ I'm not going anywhere.. We'll have as long as we want to do as we please... You don't have to think about it all now. ⌋​

She pursed her lips into a pout and crinkled her forehead. ⌈ I was just trying to come up with as much as I could so that we could take advantage of this resort to its fullest before we had to leave. Obviously there is probably going to be more drinking done than anything else. You should get better real fast so that we can get on that. ⌋ Lennox let go of his hand and slipped her arms around his shoulders. She wrapped her bare legs in with his and hooked her arms together behind his neck. ⌈ In the mean time, there's plenty we can do for fun here. ⌋ She winked at him before burying her face into the crook of his neck.​

Estelle had finally gotten something to eat. She was awfully pale, and a day of madness had left her tired and puffy-eyed. She rolled over on her side. She coughed out, and tried to speak, but all that came out was a silent wimpier. She lied on her back, and store at the ceiling. She wanted to sleep, she could escape the world through sleep. Or books. Books were nice but she didn't want to read. She didn't feel like it. She could hear her heart pound in her eyes. She drifted off to sleep, but her mind even in dreams.. was clouded with questions and cries. ​

Cel laughed... what a foolish little girl. She had a big price in mind... ​

"It's not any trouble. As long as I got my dues." Cel said in a fake comforting voice."Sometimes you have to be mean to get what you want in this world." Cel Said with an evil smile. "Being 'Better' or a goodie goodie won't get you anywhere." She said to her, sitting on the bed, her hands flailing.. "Time to go to sleep. For me anyway. We have a lot of work to do tomorrow."​

"A stupid little girl." She wrote down in her journal."She doesn't know what she's getting into. Oh well... now is my chance to get someone on my side... and to cause some drama... I'll get to watch it all... and know that it's because of me that this poor girl has her heart broken. Plus, after we're through, I'm in control and it's my turn to get this little twerp to do whatever I ask...." ​

She was pleased with herself, and then, still an evil smile on her pretty face, fell asleep. ​

Julius looked over at her pouting face and let out a mere sigh with a small smile. He had to admit he found it quite cute even if it was either a fake pout or not. "You don't need to worry about this place. It won't be the last time we come here. I'm almost like bros with the owner of the resort so I can get us back in here when we really wish to...though I sort of know what you mean" Julius said. Even if they could return they would still be returning to their dull lives and it would be best to just live the moment.

His arms wrapped around her as she rested her head on him and Julius closed his eyes. Things were moving too fast for him...so why the hell did he wrap his arm around her "Um..Lennox...don't you think we are moving a bit to fast?" Julius said looking down at her "I mean I think we should slow down things a bit...I'm still new to all this..." Julius said still not forgetting the whole marriage thing.

 

[/url]Dennis had been taking it pretty easily today. There was just not much going on at all. Between him chilling in the pool and...chilling in the pool. Maybe he should get some friends...Nah, that wasn't anything necessary right now. Not to mention he had the odd feeling he'd be completely irrelevant to everyone in a few days (his time that is) anyway. So that didn't really matter anyway. What did matter was going around and exploring this place as much as humanly possible. Dennis dragged himself out of the pool, drying himself off, before getting his shirt and shoes on and going on a little adventure around the place. He didn't exactly know where to go seeing as he had actually no idea what this place had to offer, but hey that's what exploring was for!

Dennis eventually stumbled upon a small area that just had two lone, what appeared to be, gravestones just randomly in the ground. No one seemed to pay them any mind, but Dennis was rather creeped out by these random tombstones, but he proceeded to read them anyway...for adventure? The first one said "Here Lies Cassidey, she died in the most preventable way possible. What a shame really." That was...interesting. Dennis was pretty creeped out by that. What did it mean by, preventable? He turned his attention to the next tombstone and all it said on it was "S ane." Well that was not nearly as interesting. It was like no one could really think of what to write in description of this man. There looked like something was faded between the S and the A but Dennis couldn't make it out. Feeling thoroughly creeped out by both these random tombstones, Dennis decided it was time for dinner.

It was there in the dining area where he decided to get something for his dinner. He sat at a table, not too far from some weird brown haired guy who just seemed to devouring meal after meal, without pause. The man had an interesting appetite to say the least. It was then that a blond haired man had arrived to take his order. "Hello how may I serve you today? Would you care for some Ham? Everyone loves some good Ham-" the man stopped taking his order and immediately went to assist a female who had just arrived. He seemed very eager to help the girl, though the girl looked quite fiery and was not having any of his would be advances. After a much longer time of waiting than he should've, Dennis got his food and finally left the dining hall.

On his way back to the room that he shared with three other people, he wondered about Pierce. He hadn't seen her at all since the...incident, and was wondering what she might be doing. Hopefully she wasn't in solitude and tears, trembling for eternity. Dennis eventually made it back to his room and sat down to watch him some TV. There was this weird television program that seemed like captain america, only the person who was supposed to be the Captain looked more...golden. Oh well. Dennis eventually just went to sleep wondering what he would do tomorrow.

Hearing that she'd played tennis before severely cut his confidence down from what little he actually had. Well this certainly was going to get painful. "Don't worry, I don't have much experience playing." Boy if that wasn't an understate. Still he needed serve and that's what he did. ​

Fortunately he managed to release a descent serve, though he was still worried about how the rest of the game was going to go.​

Tucker remained silent after she spoke. He appeared to be in deep thought as he leaned his back against a tree. She watched him carefully and her muscles tensed when she heard him say the word, ❝ Ow. ❞ Maria was having a hard time understanding why he was in so much pain. As far as she knew, he didn't injure himself saving her in the pool. He didn't look physically sick or injured. If he somehow had a trauma of some sort going on inside him, that might be the problem, but hadn't said anything of it so far. He cleared his throat. ❝ Um, yeah... ❞ He continued to wince in pain some more and she chewed on the insides of her cheeks. Tucker's condition seemed to be getting progressively worse as time ticked by and it made her increasingly more nervous.​

❝ I-I don't know what to feel anymore Maria... about you... about Freya- ❞ he squatted down to meet at Maria's level, ❝ E-everything is just beginning to... to turn upside down or something. Even if it hurts, I can't forget a word you've said to me. I can't ignore it. I'm waking up terrified but I can't remember any of the nightmares as I usually do. I've broken my phone and I don't even care! The only reason I brought it was so I could text Freya and even though Erik offered me his to text her, I haven't. I don't... I don't really want to talk to Freya. ❞​

It really bugged her that Erik would do that. He never seemed to be for the idea of Tucker and Freya, but at least there was a positive to it. Tucker hadn't bothered to text her. Some of the intense twisting in her chest eased ever so slightly. He shut his eyes for a second and winced, but he looked back up at Maria and kept going , ❝ It just feels wrong. I don't even want to send her a t-text- ahh, but all I can think of is you. I want to spend time with you here at the resort a-and when we're together I know it's awkward but for me, right now, it feels right. ❞​

This felt right to her too. It didn't used to be awkward. They had been moving past that awkward phase. When they were just friends, things were easy. There was never even the slightest hint of awkwardness between them. They were a team. They functioned perfectly together. Then a mild air of awkwardness settled in once they shared that kiss in the auditorium, but after Christmas, it had gradually been going away. They spent that whole day together watching television and movies at her apartment. It was fun and sweet. There was nothing really that awkward about it. Things didn't become strange again until Freya.​

She wanted to reach out and touch him. Tucker looked so pained right now that all she wanted more than anything was to alleviate that pain. Maria wanted to hold him and soothe the aching in his body, but now was not the time. She also wanted to hear what else he had to say and he didn't seem to be stopping. Tucker just fought through the pain. It was endearing, if not naive. He should rest. Tucker never should have left his bed this morning. Now they were out in the forest and he looked like he might just pass out right then and there.​

He dropped on a knee and sat, propping an arm on the raised knee to try and keep himself up. ❝ And I-I just don't get it. I know how I am. You know how I am. After that first day I would have probably caught a cab back home if I had to, but here I am- with you! And I swear I didn't force myself to be here. I wanted to. ❞ his fist clenched tightly as he winced again, groaning. ❝ A-and something feels missing and I know it's not Freya- uuurgh, I don't know what it is and I want to know what's making me feel so empty- ❞ he had to put a hand on the ground now, ❝ -and I feel like the answer's with you. I don't know what's telling me this but when I'm with you it just feels right. I-I don't know what's happening, everything is just so hazy and confusing and weird. I can't ignore it. I really can't - except for today, when we were at breakfast- ❞ he coughed, ❝ and walking- ❞ he coughed again, ❝ I didn't think about it. I-I didn't- ❞ and once more, ❝ have to because- ❞ another cough, ❝ it suddenly didn't feel empty. ❞​

Her bottom lip trembled and tears pricked at the back of her eyes. This time, she did reach out. Maria slid off the rock and landed her bare knees into the dirt. She wrapped her arms around Tucker's torso and pulled him in close. He wasn't big on personal space, but right now she didn't care. He would just have to deal with it. Maria buried her face into his chest and her cheeks dampened with tears. How long had she waited to hear those words? It wasn't exactly how she pictured it -- here, in the forest, sweaty and damp with humidity -- but it was better than nothing. Maria rubbed her forehead against his chest and tears collected on her chin, dripping down onto her chest. ❝ Tucker, you have no idea how much you mean to me. ❞ She sniffled and pulled him in tighter, locking her hands on her elbows behind his back.​

❝ Tucker, I love you so much and I'm not expecting you to say it back, but you have no idea how much what you said means to me. I care about you and I understand you. You can obviously talk to me in a way you never talked to Freya. She doesn't know about your past, only what you want her to know -- the parts you don't mind anyone knowing --, but we both know that I know more. We've been through so much together already. You're supposed to be with her and yet you're out here with me, telling me this. I don't understand what happened, how she managed to get in between, but this - this is the universe saying it should be you and I. ❞ She lifted her chin, resting it against his sternum, and gazed up into his chestnut eyes.​

​

❝ I love you Tucker Knowles. I have pretty much since that horrible summer at camp. Everyone was so emotional, yourself included, but you stepped up with the others and helped lead and what really did it was that ride back from Bentley in the back of the truck... ❞ She bit down on her lip. Maria unlocked her arms and slid her right hand up to his cheek. She held his gaze and straightened her back, pulling his face closer. Tucker looked like he was in so much pain. She blinked back a few stray tears and tangled her slim fingers into his cherry - red locks. Maria pressed her lips to his feverishly. It had been so long. They only shared a kiss the one time and it felt like eternities ago, but as soon as they were together, it was like her body knew before she did. Everything felt perfect and formfitting. Her heart raced in her chest and she pulled him closer.​

​

She could have stayed in the forest with him like that forever had he not pulled away in the most pain he had been in so far. Tucker was wracked with coughing fits and shivering cold sweats. He groaned in pain and winced repeatedly. She jumped to her feet in a panic. He was clutching his chest and rolled onto his side. ❝ Tucker! ❞ she shouted with worry. Her hands flew down to him. She helped him to his feet and struggled to walk him back to his hut. He was putting pretty much all of his weight on her and she had a difficult time supporting him. It was worse than yesterday. She stumbled and wheezed as she dragged Tucker back. The room wouldn't come fast enough.​

​

When they were in view, Erik seemed to see them from the sliding glass door and came running to help. He took Tucker from Maria and assured her that the red - head would be in good hands now. She lingered for a bit, feeling unsure about leaving him, but knew in the end hovering would do no good. Maria walked back reluctantly to her room. There was still some dumb drama between her roommates and she rolled her eyes. She was drained.​

​

Maria sighed and went to take a shower before kicking back. She was uneasy the entire time, but she tried to calm herself down with a book. It was difficult to ignore the dumb plotting drama between Celosia and Natalie. She played some games with Lilly to pass the time, but ultimately, her thoughts were clouded with Tucker. He was in rough shape when she left him. Later, she ate by herself in the room before going to bed for the night. She would check on him in the morning. If he still wasn't feeling well, there would be no getting out of bed for him. It wasn't an option.​

Seraphina was happy that the game went well. Though neither of them had played in a while, they had quite a laugh anyway. She went easy on him, of course she figured she would have to either way, since she had been playing for a very long time. She shook her head as she swooped to saved the ball at the final serve. She hit it over, and she watched as it fell on the other side of the net. She laughed. "Good Game." Seraphina said, climbing from under the net to stand beside him. ​

​

"Yeah." By a stroke of luck he actually did better than he thought he would. That alone made him happy. Seraphina smiled. "You're not as bad as you think you are, Ya know." Seraphina said, stepping closer to him. She had a kind of.. 'Look' in her eye. "You think so?" So she could tell that he thought he sucked at tennis. Well that was somewhat comforting. Seraphina smirked. "I think so." She laughed. She ran her hand down his shoulder "I'm not really sure though, sports aren't really my thing." Seraphina smiled. "I see. Well you did play well for someone who isn't all that into sports." Shane replied. "Thank you." Seraphina said. "Anyway. I should probably head back to the room now..." She said to him, though she honestly didn't want to leave. She fiddled with a few curls in her hair.​

"Yeah, maybe we could try something else tomorow." Seraphina giggled, taking one of his hands to pull him in closer. "Yes... I'd like that." She said to him, almost in a whisper. "Then it's a date then." She let go, and then turned to leave. She felt like she was doing ok. So far. There were more things to be done though of course. She walked away, trying not to giggle to herself.​

​

Seraphina who was very pleased with how things went, climbed into bed contently, falling into a peaceful sleep. ​

HIS arms wrapped around her as well and Lennox shifted in his arms and pressed herself closer. She breathed in his scent which had the feint hint of saltwater. It was probably from before his wipe out yesterday. She sighed contentedly into him. ⌈ Um..Lennox...don't you think we are moving a bit to fast? ⌋​

​

⌈ Fast? ⌋ she asked into his chest.​

​

⌈ I mean, I think we should slow down things a bit...I'm still new to all this... ⌋ He sounded hesitant.​

​

Lennox pulled away and looked up at him, meeting his brown - eyed gaze. ⌈ What do you mean? We're just lying here. ⌋ she played innocent. It was the truth, after all. She bat her dark lashes before disentangling herself from him. Lennox reached behind her back and pulled his arms forward. She forced a smile and tapped his nose lightly. ⌈ I'll go. I'll come see ya again tomorrow, hopefully you'll be better by then. ⌋ Lennox slid off the bed and straightened out her clothes. She leaned in to give Julius a kiss on the cheek and then clicked the heels of her boots together.​

She spun around and shoved her hands in the front pockets of her denim shorts. ⌈ Later Julius! ⌋ she said with one last smile before skipping out of the room. Lennox was going to screw this up somehow. She could already see it. It was just a matter of time. Julius was exciting, but he was also grown up. She still acted like a child most of the time and -- tomorrow would be her last day with her pills. Shit!​

​

Lennox chewed on her lip the whole way back to her room with those kids. She sighed and grabbed something to eat on the way and crashed on the couch without bothering to change out of her clothes.​

 

After saying his farewells Shsbe headed back to his room and went to sleep
