He barely believed that he had asked her to join him tomorrow, especially after yesterday but for what? Hell, he had no idea! What were they going to do? He really wasn't sure, it just... it felt right. It felt like it was the right thing to d-

A sharp pain hit his chest, causing him to inhale sharply and bend forward slightly. Thank goodness he stopped himself before ramming his head onto the glass sliding door in front of him. One bump on the back of his head was enough for the trip, thank you. His head continued to throb and he slowly turned to face back into the room. He saw Erik, sitting there with a small smile on his face.

The red head put a hand to the side of his head, and walked forward slowly, sitting on the edge of the bed. "Y-yeah, I talked to her. I'll tell you about it later but god, I feel awful. I think I'm going to pass on the hiking. Sorry man."

It wasn't the awful feeling he had earlier that morning and yesterday, it wasn't as painful but it sure was annoying. It was more physical. It wasn't the familiar demons that relished in his guts and muscles and mind and heart. This felt invasive and alien, as if it were fighting off all the little happy feelings he started to have concerning Maria. It was very odd.

Tucker brushed it off as he lied in bed and tried to ignore the pain. He pretty much stayed in the hut the entire day, had some food courtesy of Erik leaving the hut and coming back and played some video games on Erik's phone, since he broke his own. It was the chill, break he finally needed to just get things together. Who knew it would take a lifesaver moment at the pool with the girl he was so hesitant about for the past few months, a terrible trip to the darkest areas of his mind, a broken bathroom, a brave conversation with Maria in the morning and an entire day coped up in the hut to make him feel appropriately relaxed in a beach resort?

"I AM GOING TO DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" Julius cried out as the boat ran rampant on the water. He wanted something to pump his blood, but he definitely didn't want something that would give him a heart attack. At this point he began to wonder just why he hadn't gotten a heart attack. "SOOOOOOOOOOOORY" Julius yelled as people in the water scurried away to safety. His determination to get this thing to stop had reached it core and as he sped towards the beach. He slammed his foot on the breaks but then a snap was heard and Julius's eye began to twitch "YOU DAMN BROKEN BOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT" Julius yelled as the boat hit the beach. The boat ricochet off the ground and was sent into the air with Julius still in it due to the seat belt he wore

Everything slowed down in the eye of Julius as the boat spiralled around in the skies of the beach. Was this it? was this how it all ends? no matter how hard he tied he could not get out. It was the end for him and he would say goodbye. He saw his life flash in a mere instant and soon there was crash. Through the wall of a hut the boat had crashed through and Julius let out a groan. It seemed he was fate was too kind. Still dazed from the craze he stared over at the managers that were on scene. "S-send the bill to the Menon family...I'll buy the boat too" Julius said weakly before resting his head back and passing out.​

 

Since it seemed like Seraphina wasn't responding to his message, Shane decided to walk around instead of waiting in the lobby all day long. If she'd did show up while he was gone, then she would be able to reach him. After all he would still have his phone on him. The first and only thing he did was to play some tennis. Needless to say, he sucked at it. Half the time when he did hit the ball it either hit the net or was a fault. When he finally got physically tired, he headed back to his room, took a quick shower and climbed into the bed where he went to sleep.

 

Lilly did not end up doing much after Maria wandered off mumbling about how she wanted to see Ryder. Lilly was one to mind her own business, but she was curious why she needed Ryder. After that, Lilly got dressed and wandered around and found the arcade in the resort and played Buck Hunter until she stopped herself from using too much money. After that she went to the beach and drew in the sand rather than build sandcastles. She went swimming for a little while in the ocean, then she went and got herself food. At around 10pm, the same employee from the previous day told her that she needed to go back to her room. When she got back to the room, she pulled out her phone and played a couple of games and talked on her Trillian app. When she was finally tired, she showered up, got into pjs, and went to sleep.​

 

Dennis[/url] woke up that morning feeling really weird. He looked around and saw that it was morning time. Then he looked at the date and noticed something really weird. It was two days later from when he went to bed. Was he actually asleep for all of yesterday? Jeez, how did he manage that. Then again, he had this weird dream that seemed pretty long. It involved him having to do an arbitrary amount of fighting all because of the whimsy of some being wanted him to so he could get stronger, and he couldn't leave until he won. Man, that was quite the dream. Oh well he was awake now and had a whole days worth of things to catch up on. Actually, he had this odd feeling that he didn't really miss much yesterday. Weird.

Dennis walked around and saw a magazine just lying around. He flipped through it and read an interesting article on the founder of the resort. Apparently the dude was some big medical firm owner who simply opened up a beach resort out of whimsy or something. He was a Doctor G. and apparently had long red hair...or was it short. These pictures were kind of inconsistent. There was also an article about knives right after that. This was a weird magazine. Throwing it away in the trash Dennis went down to his true destination. It was the pool.

Dennis enjoyed pools. They were a good place to swim and not nearly as deadly as the ocean was. And boy Dennis did not enjoy his deadly oceans. Setting up a chair by throwing his towel on it, Dennis stripped down to a bathing suit and jumped into the pool. After feeling the water rush through him, he swam all the way back to the top. It was a nice morning right now, and he didn't want to get into swimming just yet. So instead he merely lie there in the water, on his back.

"Can I borrow your phone? Since you know, I broke mine."

It probably was a very odd thing to wake up to for his older, dark haired friend. Tucker was already out from a shower, dressed for the new day and ready to leave. Erik, who was still in bed and in pajamas and barely opening his eyes, understood what he was going to do - as they talked about it before sleeping last night - and pointed to the desk where he left it.

The red head whispered a quick thank you and then walked over to his friend's phone, picked it up and began to type up a message for her.

To: Maria​

Morning Maria! This is Tucker, um, my​

phone is weird so I borrowed Erik's. ​

Anyway, I'll wait for you at the lobby. ​

No rush or anything : )​

He hit send and then placed the phone back down. After which, he gave a small tap on his friend's shoulder before heading out of the door as he made his way to the lobby just like he said.

Tucker had woken up abruptly earlier that morning, terrified again but with no recollection as to why. He tried not to bother himself with it though, as he remembered that today was the day he would spend some time with Maria - since they finally got back on a good note... or at least, he hoped. It seemed like it was going well. Maybe it was because she was a little out of it yesterday morning but he was really, really telling himself not to think that.

He reached the lobby moments later and took a seat by one of the lounge chairs. He looked around, trying to think of some things they could do because he slowly started to become nervous. He licked his upper lip, what activities did the beach resort provide that didn't involve water?

LENNOX looked down into the bottom of the yellow pill bottle. She shook it around for affect, but it did not change the fact that there was only one more pill to be had. She swallowed the one for today and hesitantly slipped the bottle back into her bag. This was a bad time to be on vacation. Maybe things wouldn't get to crazy? She took a nervous breath and left the room.​

​

There had been so much talk this morning about the boat crash that the she deemed it worthy to go check out. Lennox was both amused by what Julius had done and sympathetic to his overall plight. He was probably in a lot of pain right about now. Well that's where she stepped in! She could play nurse -- it was always one of her favorite things to dress up as -- and nurture him back to health. Wouldn't that be something? Granted, she did promise to stop teasing him, but how often does someone get to say they flipped their boat into a building? That was just unheard of. This wasn't the movies, things like that didn't happen every day.​

She made her way to the disaster zone which appeared to be thoroughly sectioned off. How lame. Oh well -- she sighed. Lennox wandered, looking for where Julius would be. He wasn't at his hut. One message to Erik confirmed that. Funny, she still didn't have his number. She would have to get that at some point in time. There was apparently some sort of infirmary at the resort and after talking to the staff, it was discerned that he would be there. The tips of her fingers trailed against the wall as she wound her way down the path to the infirmary. A sign hung in front of the door and a smirk spread on her lips as she read the words. Bingo.​

Her hands pressed to the door and she pushed them open wide. The room was filled with natural lighting and the air conditioning was blowing strong. Her shoes were silent against the floor as she walked down the rows of cots looking for the one Julius was occupying. They were all empty, save for one. Lennox came to a stop at the foot of the bed and peered down at him. How to go about this? No teasing was just not any fun; plus, there was nothing said about teasing him while he slept!​

She slid onto the thin mattress down by his feet and crawled over his sleeping body. Lennox hovered over him on her hands and knees, her long black hair cascading down around her, and cocked her head to the side. He should see something pretty when he wakes up after having had such a bad accident the day before. She mashed her lips together and tapped him lightly on the nose with the tip of her finger. ⌈ Wake up sleepy head. ⌋​

Seraphina woke up. She had gotten way too much sun the day before, and her skin, had a lightly tanned tone, though burnt the day before. She saw that Shane had text her. "Oh man! I missed my chance!" Seraphina muttered.​

Oh my goodness! Shane I'm so sorry! I'll make it up to you. Meet me in the lobby, we can go hang out or something​

Seraphina sent her text, and then hurried to get ready. "I might have missed my chance yesterday, but not this time." Seraphina said, brushing out her hair after her shower. "Every minute counts now." Seraphina thought to herself. She hurried get dressed. She smiled at her outfit choices, and then left the room. She went down the hall, getting the strangest looks. Mostly men and kids, while other women just rolled their eyes. She smiled as she saw Shane. "Hello Shane." Seraphina walked over. She kissed him on the cheek and then gave him a wave. "I'm sorry about the other day, I was very sick." Seraphina told him. She noticed that some of the people in the lobby were staring at them now. Some had mouths hung open, others just rolled their eyes once more. "So, what do you want to do today?" Seraphina asked, her face bright red.​

Estelle was lying down on her bed. She felt like the worst person ever. She felt so guilty that she kept throwing up. Her stomach turned. She was pale as snow. She lied down on her bed, holding her head. She had kissed Alex. Of course it had been an accident. But it was NAT'S BOYFRIEND. She would kill her if she found out. Alex had come into her room to check on her 'cause she was feeling sick, and then... She shook her head. ​

Tears streamed down her face. She had totally ignored that that was her first kiss. A real one anyway.. a one that wasn't scarring. She had to admit that she liked it. She felt sick again. How could she?... after everything how could she like it? And why did it have to be Alex. She bit her lip. What was really bad... is that she wanted more... ​

Cel unfortunately had heard her room mate crying and had decided to comfort her. She didn't need a friend, she needed an advantage. If she could get in on the drama in the group, she would have blackmail, and that would mean an advantage. She liked drama. She craved drama.​

"...And, it just hurts, Cel... I mean, Estelle was supposed to be my best friend, then she goes off and ignores me for someone who betrayed her trust, then she goes off and kisses my boyfriend!" Natalie said, clutching Cel and breaking down once more​

"Awww... I know... I know" Cel said in a fake comforting voice."You'll just have to admit that he doesn't like you anymore." Cel Said with an evil smile. "Unless..." She said, bringing her head up. "Oh of course you could just, get rid of this, ****." She said to her. She made the most outrageous hand movements. "Well... you could. Oh, but you're just a baby. You wouldn't want to... Oh fine if you want to know so badly."​

"You take it up a step. You have to go past your comfort level, and seduce him." She said, as a matter a factly."I could help you you know. For a price...." ​

Everything had hurt so much and worst of all it was his head that hurt the most. Luckily for the one eyed man it seemed that he was actually carried out of the boat and not just left in there. Being in some form of medical ward was always were Julius would eventually end. His head took the most damage and were bandaged up.

Sleep was peaceful and he enjoyed it quite well. Maybe his headache would finally get away in time and he could apparently get some good relaxing time to enjoy. He still had the boat so there were a whole bunch of stuff he could really do with it. Maybe Lennox would love to go on the boat, she had a thing for pirates so she might like it.

He continued to sleep and rest his head until he felt something on his nose and a voice reach out to his ears. The voice was familiar but in his state he just couldn't figure out who it was. It annoyed him and Julius couldn't help but let out a groan "Oi...dumbass let me sleep..." Julius said. Despite his words he still felt a presence over him and his eye opened up "OI DUMBASS I SAID...L-LENNOOOOOOOOOOOOOX?!!" Julius yelled in pure shock as his eyes widened upon noticing just who was over him. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING OVER ME?!" Julius yelled.

 

"S-seduce him? How am I supposed to do that? Ph, but you said you'd help me for a price...."She quickly scavenged her pockets for anything of value she could use to pay off Cel. "I don't really have anything I can offer... What would this price be? I'd be willing to do anything to get Alex back. He means so much to me..."Natalie said, a bit disappoints in how badly things had been going lately. By this point, she technically had no friends besides Cel. Bianca was busy with Whitney, and Estelle had betrayed her.

You just need to set up a romantic date, wear a nice tight short dress, and then come onto him!" She said as if it was the most obvious answer. "You know. Make him remember that YOU'RE his girlfriend. Not this *****. You need to, make out with him or something...."She smirked. "You plan a date, and I will work with your clothes and make up. I'll teach you all you should know, but then, after that, you need to do whatever I say." She said. "Do we have a deal, kiddo?"She smirked. She needed a team mate here. She hated being nice, but she had to get someone on her side. She could handle things herself, but a little wanna be, would do fine... ​

Maria had just been anxiously preparing herself for today. She still hadn't eaten anything since they arrived and it was starting to take a serious toll on her health. She felt like utter crap, even though her insides didn't hurt so much anymore and her eyes weren't sore from crying. Today was going to be interesting and it had her on edge. Tucker had asked to hang out today and after how thing have been going, it could drastically go one of two ways. She also didn't know what to make of how he viewed her now. He knew how she felt about him and that was that. He never said anything about it back to her. Whatever Tucker had intended to say yesterday about Freya was pushed aside by some sudden illness. She paced the room, occasionally glancing at the display of drama going on in there.​

Why was Celosia involving herself in kid stuff? She looked pathetic meddling with some fifteen-year-old's love life. She rolled her eyes. There was a vibration across the room and she hurried over to find her phone lit up. Maria tapped on the screen and a message was displayed with Erik's name. She wrinkled her brow in confusion. What did Erik want? Did something happen with Tucker? Maria tapped the phone and opened up the text.​

Her heart fluttered in her chest and she dropped her phone down the front of her dress. Maria slipped her feet into her flip flops and rushed out the door without a word to the other three girls. The last thing she needed was more drama. The issues she had with Tucker were more than enough to keep her preoccupied. She raced her way to the lobby, only slowing when she was nearly there. Maria smoothed out her hair and straightened her dress to keep it from looking like she rushed there. Her heart was racing and she took a couple slow steady breaths to calm it. When she finally felt better, she walked into the pristine room.​

Tucker was sitting in a chair and her chest clenched at the sight of him. He looked so much better today. She swallowed nervously and steeled herself as she closed the distance between them. He rose from his spot when he saw her and she gave him a timid half wave. ❝ Hey there, ❞ she greeted. Maria exhaled and looked up into his warm chestnut eyes. They looked different, more clear. They weren't as lifeless as they had been. It twisted up her insides and she curled her toes on the foam shoes. ❝ So, ❞ she started, ❝ what did you want to do today? ❞ Maria gave him a cheerful grin. This would be okay. They could be friends, right?​

JULIUS was pretty cute while sleeping, even while totally bandaged up. It actually made him look more attractive, as if that was possible. He looked all rugged and tough like that. She bit down on her lip, barely able to contain herself. He rolled on the bed and let out a groan. ⌈ Oi...dumbass, let me sleep... ⌋ he mumbled between groans. Aww, as if she would let him sleep now. Just watching him was getting her all riled up. His features contorted into a more defined fit of annoyance and he opened his eyelid. ⌈ OI DUMBASS I SAID...L-LENNOOOOOOOOOOOOOX?!! ⌋ Julius yelled in pure shock as his eye widened upon noticing just who was over him. ⌈ WHAT ARE YOU DOING OVER ME?! ⌋​

She snorted. Lennox mashed her lips together to keep from laughing. This was priceless. Her lips began to part as she did her best to contain herself, but a chuckle managed to slip out regardless. ⌈ I heard you were in here and I got concerned. I thought it would be good for your health to wake up to something beautiful. ⌋ She grinned down at him. The sleeve on her shirt slipped off her shoulder and she cocked her head farther to the side, looking slightly disappointed. ⌈ Was this no good? ⌋ Lennox stuck her bottom lip out in a pout and leaned in. There was an exaggerated sad expression on her face and she stared down at him, her blue eyes watching his brown one.​

Things were so unbelievably uncomfortable that the man's eyes began to twitch as usual. It wasn't that it was necessarily that he was uncomfortable with this, it was just...he had absolutely no idea what he should be feeling. His emotions were totally confused and they were rushing around wildly. "How...kind of you" Julius muttered. She was very close to him as her face was pretty closed to his.

He closed his eyes and merely raised his finger and poked her on the nose "Hey what kind of stupid question is that...of course your beautiful so then obviously if your right in front of my face then its quite obvious that I'll be awakened to a beautiful scene" Julius began to say but then immediately began to open his eyes in surprise at what he said before closing his eyes once more. "so...err..yeah...." Julius said awkwardly.

Before he could even think of any other possibilities for what they could do today, he spots Maria approaching him. He immediately stood up, pulling down on his navy shirt. He smiled at her as she waved at him timidly, ❝ Hey there, ❞

"Hey." he said with a small smile. He originally worked out a very enthusiastic good morning up in his head while he was in the shower. It was to be paired with a bright grin and an ecstatic expression as he was very eager to be friends with Maria again. Since things were suddenly going a bit alright between them, he really didn't want to take chances.

Though, obviously he choked up. All his preparation went down the drain because the moment he saw her, his chest tightened and his muscles tensed. He was actually surprised he got himself up to his feet but really, if it weren't for that split second of uncomfortable pain he suddenly felt that broke through the awkward freezing of pretty much everything in his system - he knew he wouldn't have moved at all. Didn't think those weird painful shivers he's been getting since yesterday would be any help - but looks like it did today!

❝ So, what did you want to do today? ❞

Tucker's eyes immediately met with Maria. It was nice not seeing them so sad anymore. There was still something that was a little bit off, but compared to yesterday, she really did look happier - it made him happy too. Alright. This was it. It was time to bring out the enthusiastic-I-am-super-friendly Tucker! The time they were going to spend together today would hold no tears or sadness of any sort. They were going to reconcile completely and become friends again. But hey! Back to reality. Back to reality... He pressed his lips together, "Hmmm." His eyes left Maria's for a moment as he looked around, trying to keep his composure as he desperately looked out for some sort of sign to give him an answer.

It only took seconds but Bingo! A cart of room service packed with a family breakfast meal passed down a hall by the distance. He grinned and turned back to Maria, "B-breakfast!" he said suddenly. He must have been too excited about finding that answer because a second after blurting it out he realized that he may have made only little sense. "U-um, b-breakfast! We should eat. Yeah. Food is... food is good! Especially here... at the resort. Yeah."

Wow, awkward, but thank golly she had agreed. With a small sigh, he reached to put his hand on her shoulder to lead her towards the breakfast buffet but that weird shiver had attacked him again, and for a second he winced at it, but then recollected himself quickly and pointed to where they were headed. "Let's pass over here." he dug his hands in his pockets and walked ahead for the first few steps until she joined him and he walked beside her.

When they got there, they got a table then proceeded to the buffet. He made sure to stay beside her and occasionally helped her get some food on her plate. By the time they had circled around it, they returned to their table and began to eat their meals.

It was quiet, and sometimes Tucker would glance up at her before sticking his spoon in his mouth but couldn't find himself to say anything. How long has it been? Had they just sat down or had ten minutes already passed? It felt like the latter but as he looked down at his plate, it only looked like he took two bites. He suddenly got scared that Maria felt like this was awkward and dragging too. That was like a blinking red light on his road to friendship. He swallowed the food in his mouth nervously then took a sip of the juice he got for the morning, before clearing his throat, "So uh, Maria, is there, uh, any places you really want to visit around here? I'm pretty sure there are cool stuff away from the ocean that the resort provides... I think..."

HE reached up and pressed his finger to her nose, just as Lennox had done to him while he slept. ⌈ Hey what kind of stupid question is that...? Of course you're beautiful so then obviously if your right in front of my face then it's quite obvious that I'll be awakened to a beautiful scene. ⌋ he told her. Lennox pressed her lips together, ready to wake him up a different way.⌈ so...err..yeah.... ⌋ Julius mumbled after.​

She rolled off him, coming to a stop on her side and propping her head up on her elbow. Her black hair swept across her face and she brushed it away. Lennox smiled playfully beside Julius and fiddled with the bandages on his head. ⌈ Are you okay? I saw the damage you caused and you made a pretty big mess. ⌋ In all seriousness, she was concerned for his wellbeing. Her head cocked to the side and she stopped messing with the bandages so not to mess them up. However, this could lead to one great game of Doctor. Lennox found her way to Julius's large hands and she circled her thumb over his knuckles. ⌈ I'd be more than happy to take care of you ... ⌋​

Julius sighed as he opened up his eye and stared back at her. Excluding the times where she came out of nowhere with shocking stuff, Julius was getting more and more used to her presence and despite the greeting she gave him earlier, Julius was actually glad to see here before him now. He felt her play with the bandages on his head and immediately clenched his right eyelid as his left eye glanced up at her hand.

"I'm fine..it'll take more than a boat to end me...though my head is killing me" Julius said as he noticed her hand making its way to his own. What she said last made him close his eye and an uncomfortable look arose on the face of Julius "err...umm...no thanks...to be honest I think you'll make things worse" Julius said unsure of how to put it. With all the near heart attacks he got he wondered what physical pain she would bring.

Tucker had decided they should eat. Maria couldn't help but wonder if he could read her mind. While she had not been thinking of food, her body was. It had been too long now and at this point, she wasn't sure how much she could actually eat. It would be dicey. Oh well. It would be better to try and eat than to go another day without food. The fatigue it had been creating was seriously taking a toll on her body the way it was. He helped her in the line to reach some the foods on the other side of the buffet. It was sweet and brought back old memories, but it also left Maria feeling hollow. They couldn't avoid the white elephant in the room forever. There was still Freya in the middle of things and Tucker knowing how Maria felt about him. They couldn't just be friends, as nice as it would be.​

They had been eating in silence. Maria was taking small nibbles at her food, trying to pace herself. If she ate it too quickly, she was bound to get sick. Tucker had still seemed like he was a little under the weather. Perhaps it would be better if he went back to resting. Occasionally, she would catch him glancing at her and she'd look back down at her plate trying to pretend as if she didn't. It was bothering her not knowing what he could be thinking. Why was he staring so much? It almost felt like he was expecting her to not be there every time he looked up. Where else would she go? It wasn't like she was just going to disappear and leave him with her bill. ​

Tucker took a drink of his orange juice and cleared his throat, ❝ So uh, Maria, is there, uh, any places you really want to visit around here? I'm pretty sure there are cool stuff away from the ocean that the resort provides... I think... ❞ It was kind of silly. They didn't need to avoid the ocean entirely. It was true she didn't like the ocean and she couldn't swim, but that didn't change the fact that she could still stand in the water or sit on the beach.​

She shook her head. ❝ I'm not sure. The scenery is pretty beautiful. I wouldn't mind going for a walk or something. ❞ Maria took a bite of toast and swallowed before continuing, ❝ But Tucker, we don't have to avoid all bodies of water. What's there to be afraid of when I have such a great lifeguard on duty? ❞ she joked. Maria gave him a smile, one she hadn't felt in a long time, and everything inside her seemed to lighten. She took another bite of toast and washed it down with a glass of tea.​

 

BEACH ADVENTURE FILLER ARC DAY: THREE​

JULIUS looked uncomfortable at her touch and Lennox sighed. ⌈ Err... umm... No thanks... To be honest, I think you'll make things worse. ⌋ he told her.​

​

She let go of his hand and stretched out beside him. There wasn't a lot of room given that it was a cot and if she wasn't careful, she would probably fall off. ⌈ Well that's disappointing, ⌋ she said with a yawn. Her back popped and she looked over at him, tucking her hands under the side of her face pressed against the mattress. ⌈ Do ya have to stay here long? I was hopin'... ya know, we could do somethin'. ⌋ She looked up at the ceiling. Lennox had never really been good with the whole 'serious' talk. It just made life easier to never be serious. That's why she enjoyed teasing Julius so much. If she got serious, it reminded her too much of her illness.​

If Julius has to rest here for long, something might happen before they can actually do anything together. Her thoughts kept wandering to that lone pill in the bottom of her yellow bottle. A refill was going to be impossible so long as they were at the resort.​

A laugh escaped him. He didn't even realize how he phrased the last thing he said a while ago, he was just worried she didn't want to be near water after that incident during the first day. He put his hands up in a surrender then added jokingly with a small grin, "Sorry, sorry. I'm just not taking my chances, you know? With how much of a clutz you are?"

After a bit of another laugh, mostly to conceal another weird shiver that attacked him, he finished up his pancake as he took the last piece into his mouth. He swallowed and cleared his throat, "But okay, I haven't been able to look around much either. Walking sounds good! Whenever you're ready." he smiles and leans back on the chair a bit.

His insides felt like they were aching slightly. Maybe he should have gotten the toast just like Maria, perhaps the pancakes or the syrup were a bit off. He shifted in his seat as he waited for Maria to be finished. He really hoped he wasn't coming down with something, that would like, totally ruin the whole point of this beach vacation thing.

Caught up in his thoughts and distracted by the weird pangs of pain he would feel suddenly, he didn't realize that Maria had already called for the bill and when the waiter came over with it, he sat up straight and got it before she could. He gave her a wide grin as he kept the bill away from her, "I'm paying! Least I could do to make up for all the time we haven't spent together." he tried to keep his voice sweet and without the hint of pain as he recalled why and how they haven't spent time together. He took enough bills to cover their payment and tip from his wallet and he placed them inside and left it at the table.

He placed his wallet back into his shorts pocket, then as he prepared himself to stand he looked at her once more, "Ready to go?" and with that they both stood, left the buffet and walked out into the sun.
