    "I know she's annoying Nat. Don't worry, they'll leave soon...maybe."

Natalie smiled at her friend. She seemed to have the same dislike for her cousins. Soon, the two girls began singing along to the music Natalie was playing. Once the song was over, Natalie lay in bed next to her friend, giggling. "You know Esty," she said, "I'm having fun with you here, all things considered." She sighed. "I've been through so much lately, and you and Alex have both been with me all the way. So thank you. Couldn't ask for a better best friend." Natalie smiled at her.

"Hey, I'm sorry about Bianca being a ***** this morning. Sometimes the smallest things will ruffle her feathers."

"Oh, it's fine." Natalie said simply. "As long as she stays out of my way, it's all good."

"You know, it could do us some best to get along her. We are just lucky enough that Estelle let us stay here. Just try to ignore her next time will ya."

Bianca allowed her sister to hug her, and she put a hand over her twin's arms. "Why? That Natalie is nothing but a child. She mooches off our family, and does nothing to repay them. And don't you EVER sleep with clothes on? Sheesh... This isn't your bed."

Whitney. Her twin and best friend. She didn't know what she'd do without her. She studied Whitney as she got dressed and crossed over to Natalie and Estelle's room.

"Hey, I'm sorry about Bianca being a ***** this morning. Sometimes the smallest things will ruffle her feathers," came Whitney's voice.

Tch. The audacity her own sister had to apologize for Bianca's behavior.

"Oh, it's fine." she heard Natalie reply, "As long as she stays out of my way, it's all good."

Bianca stayed there with her mouth open. How... DARE she? Did Natalie REALLY believe she was so special that Bianca was unworthy of her presence? Ugh, these people... It was impossible and unacceptable for someone to stay here. No doubt Natalie felt she deserved all the attention because she's in an "emotional state" due to what she's been through recently. More like a permanent state of stupidity. In a huff, Bianca got out of bed and walked downstairs, giving Natalie a 'I'm-gonna'freaking-kill-you' stare as she passed.

She looked carefully for Vega, and approached her. "Vega, is there any way my sister and I can have a different room? Natalie is too loud." Even if she disliked Vega, she had been brought up the right way, which had been learning to speak to her elders with respect.

Evan continued doing his work until his phone went off. Checking it to see that Ria texted him back saying sure thing...and that she was coming over...wait, coming over? Evan realized there may have been some sort of miscommunication between the two of them. Not to mention his phone went off again to show a text from Torv. He wasn't entirely sure how to answer this question presented to him by Torv...especially since he was already in quite the predicament as it was. Nevertheless he couldn't turn down his communistic comrade, especially after he just sort of inexplicably left. Not like Evan would pry on that subject seeing as he also had the habit of disappearing every now and then.

With that out of the way, Evan put his phone in his pocket and closed the laptop in front of him. Shoving it into the case he had been given he quickly bolted out of the library where he had been doing his work. Though he remembered to run quietly, because as much of a rush as he was in, this was still a library and it required quiet. As soon as he got out of there he immediately put on his rollerblades and started booking it down town as fast as he possibly could. He had to make sure that he beat Ria to his house or else it would look super rude of him to not be at his house after inadvertently inviting her over. What he wouldn't give for a pair of motorized rollerblades right about now.

Going much faster than usual and putting much more effort in as usual he continued to haul ass, taking every short cut conceivable he finally made it to his apartment building...unfortunately he saw that her car was already parked there. Well that was unfortunate. He continued to go as fast as he could, taking off his rollerblades as soon he could he ran up the stairs to see that she was already at the door. W h o o p s. Grabbing the door knob before she could he stood there, panting a bit for air, saying "wh-why wel-welcome Ria. S-so glad you could come." After catching his breath he opened his door and let her in.

"Well as you know, place isn't much different from last time you've been here." He stretched out his arm invitingly to his place. Around the apartment it had gone through no change at all really. Kitchen was still small, living room area was still a bit of a mess, the tv still had its "OUT OF ORDER" sign on it, and of course, his fridge was still filled with bacon. "Oh, hope you don't mind but someone else asked to come over so I said he could. Really sorry for not asking you first," he clasped his hands together and started bowing apologetically. After bringing himself back up he said, "but ya know, the more the merrier right?"

Pierce's house was actually just about ten minutes away from his apartments. Instead of heading straight there, he stopped by Jimmie's [ which was surprisingly open! ] and got them a pizza, in case she was hungry. He picked up a couple of sodas too, and rented a dumb looking movie from the BlueBox. Once back in his car, he rounded the corner and looked for the blue house.

Oliver parked on the side of the street and stepped out into the warm, Spring air. He didn't like warm weather, but he had to admit that this was a nice change of pace from the gloomy, slushy weather of Winter. They needed a change of pace, he thought.

He knocked on the door with his foot and waited for her to open. It didn't take long for Pierce to open up.

    H-hi Oliver.

Hey, he greeted back, taking her in. She looked different, but mostly alright. That was good.

Immediately following his first step into the house, Oliver removed his wet shoes. He watched Pierce walk to a new area and followed shortly behind her, taking in his new surroundings and trying to stop himself from feeling so guilty, some how.

This new room was the kitchen, so he placed the box of pizza down on the counter the seemed more suited for it, and held tightly onto the DVD.

Th-thanks for the p-pizza, she stuttered, avoiding his gaze. Y-you d-didn't have to c-come. He stepped back to allow her more room for grabbing the plates, and watched as she set them down, glanced at him, and then turned away. His lips pressed together. After a few moments of silence, he forced out a response.

    I know.

The next silence was quickly cut short by the clanking of the plates against the counter.

D-did you find it here ok-kay?

Yep, no problems. You're close by. He looked away himself and clicked his tongue, feeling awkward. The awkwardness was relieved a bit when she brought him some apple juice, which made him want to laugh -- but he wasn't sure how she'd take it so he refrained and took a sip and sank back into feeling uncomfortable.

S-so... you brought a movie? Finally, she sat down, letting him know it was okay to do the same with his slice of pizza. He followed her and took a seat, slapping down his BlueBox copy of 'THE WHITEBOARD'. It was about a young girl who could communicate with restless spirits using her ~ special whiteboard ~. Interesting enough concept, but really corny poster art and it looked like it had terrible actors in it.

Yeah, but it's okay if you don't want to watch it. He shrugged. ... Where is your mom? He hoped it didn't come across too forward, but he was curious.

Work. ... W - we could watch it n - now. U - um, m - my room might be b - better. The living room is... well... um... different.

Different ...? I don't mind, he mumbled. She either didn't hear him or didn't care, and turned a new way. Well ... Okay. He said, following behind her.

I'll - I'll take the movie... And she did, putting it into the DVD player and starting it. The room lit up with the before-the-movie previews, but Oliver was too busy controlling his wild heart rate. Pierce's room smelled of her. He remembered the scent, from their time at the box office -- when she'd arrive first. It was normal that it was smell like her but a girl's bedroom was ... He had never even been in Grace's room before. Aaaaaaaah.

Timidly, he set their plates down on the bed, but kind of just stood by it until he was invited to sit or something because he was in her room tho. He was usually not such a prepubescent 13-year-old but for some reason Pierce just made him feel less confident in himself. Like anything he did was going to traumatize her for life, especially after the whole deal with ... Sophie ... How he had just kind of ... left.

He shook his head to clear his thoughts.

So, are you going to be able to work with the movie going? We can start after we eat, if you want.

"You know Esty," she said, "I'm having fun with you here, all things considered."
"I've been through so much lately, and you and Alex have both been with me all the way. So thank you. Couldn't ask for a better best friend." Natalie smiled at her.
"Just what friends are for. I'm glad you're having fun with me here though. Everyone has taken such a liking to you, I don't know if we would be able to think of life without you." She smiled.
"Hey, I'm sorry about Bianca being a ***** this morning. Sometimes the smallest things will ruffle her feathers."
"Oh, it's fine." Natalie said simply. "As long as she stays out of my way, it's all good."
Estelle laughed at Nat's remark. "So, is Alex coming over anytime soon?" Estelle asked her curiously as she straightened up on the bed. "It would be nice for you guys to catch up." She smiled. "I haven't seen him in a while either." She laughed.
She thought about the boy, older and more...capable then Nat was. She would keep an eye on him. Anything to prevent her going through the same thing that happened to her at Nat's age. She shook her head violently, starting to remember the shattered memories. Why did she always do that? Even the smallest little thing could drive her back into such a depressing sate of mind. She sighed, lying back onto the bed.
"Nat, I suddenly don't feel so well... I'm just going to lie down here alright?" She told her, rolling over to face the wall, hiding her face full of tears from her best friend.
"Vega, is there any way my sister and I can have a different room? Natalie is too loud."
"She's a friend of Estelle's, so you shouldn't complain. I see how you treat her. Grow up and stop being *****y. You have no place in this house to ask for things. And don't act all innocent I can hear you yelling bloody murder at each other. Now go do something productive, I'm working." She snapped at her. Vega, angry as she could get, was really not in the mood.

Well, he wasn't expecting to find out the Estelle had some company of the family variety. Huh, it was actually something that he wanted to see.

"Who was that?" Leon asked Alex seeing that he'd finished sending a message. It seemed that Alex did some more changing than just stop his stuttering.

"Just a message from my girlfriend." It didn't take much to see that Leon was surprised by his answer, though he didn't say anything doubting him. Which was good since he was planning on heading over to see her. "You can come with we to see her, after all you did want to take a look around some of the places I hang out at."

"That works." A girlfriend of Alex was something that he definitely wanted to see for himself. So as Alex made his way out his room, Leon followed behind him.

"Uh, sure. That'd be fine." Shane replied. Well if he had a list of 'First' then he could add "Meeting the Parents of a Rich Girl' to it. Especially since they were apparently old fashioned, which hopefully would mean anything bad as long as he was a gentleman or at least gave off a good impression.
"Is there anything you would like to talk about Shane?"
Oh sure, put him on the spot like that. Now what was there for him to talk about. Come on man, think of something to say. Racking his mind for anything to say, he eventually settled on one of the many wonder about the house. "How did you even find this place?"

"Well..." Seraphina started. It bugged her that he didn't try to make any moves on her, even when they were alone. It wasn't an annoyed feeling though... it was more of a longing now. It was almost a feeling she liked. Indescribable and now at a lost for words, she smiled. That wasn't what she had in mind, but it was a good story none the less.
"It was in one of the journals. A very very old journal. One of my Grand Fathers from long ago, Vincenzo was walking along the gardens, he was a older man. He walked along, and carried a lantern with him. He was in a reflective time, knowing he would soon die. He thought about, a girl he had once met, Lily. His first love. She was a poor girl of a even poorer family. His parents did not approve of such. But he had been seeing her in secret for a long time. Soon, much to his parents disbelief, they had a child, 2 twins, Harmony and Melody. Unfortunately she been captured by men who wanted a ransom, thinking Vincenzo would give them money to let her free.
But his parents were angry with him, and didn't allow it. He had left the house in a fit of rage, and tried to save her. She left the children with him, and promised she would one day return. Vincenzo was walking out in the gardens, preparing for his death, when he saw what looked like a Ignis Fatuus, a Will-O'-The Wisp. He had heard of them in legend, there are many. They bring you towards destiny, or lead someone to something which cannot be theirs. He followed them, through the walls of the garden. He had found a place where the wall had fallen and was cracked big enough for someone to get into it. Even though old he followed. The Wisps gathered together, to make a being, a ghost like human image. It was her. She had truly come back to him, even after all this time. He spent the night with her spirit in his arms. He went back in when the moon was high above the small lake, and she vanished, lights fading into the sky, like stars one by one. The next morning he was ill. He told his daughters"Your mother has come for me, now I am ready. The only cure for old age, is just to die." The next morning he was gone, but Harmony, the eldest twin by mere seconds, found the secret place, and kept it to only herself. She hid the journal in the library, and vines grew over the tunnel entrance, covering it up." Seraphina explained, taking a breath.
"I found the journal myself, and now.. we're here." She smiled at him. "Sorry if I've bored you, I love story telling. That one is one of my favorites..." She smiled sweetly at him, getting very close to him. "Of course, they're all just hearsay, but so romantic.." She hinted looking at him, so close that she could feel him breathing. "Don't you think so?" Her eyes sparkled with a intense golden glow, though they were a deep sea blue. She felt her soft skin blush at the silence grew thicker and thicker.

At that instance, Natalie received a reply from Alex.

    To: Natalie
    From: Alex
Message: Well I could stop by, I got my cousin as well. Maybe we could help.
She smiled and sent a quick reply:

    To: Alex
    From: Natalie
Message: Sure! Bring him over too if you want. But just be careful, Bianca's a bit judgmental.

"That was him now. He's coming. And bringing his cousin. There may be something init for you too if you two hit it off." Natalie giggled.

Bianca just stared at her. "And it's THAT attitude that drives customers away. Explains why this place is so barren." Screw respecting your elders, Vega didn't act like she was older. Bianca stomped back upstairs and went into Estelle and Natalie's room. "Whitney, we're going back to our room to hang out now." She grabbed her twin and pulled her by the wrist. "You don't need to socialize with the likes of THESE people."

Maria had been standing at Evan's door for a good minute or two. He was lucky it was warm outside or he'd get a serious talking to over the fact that he was keeping her waiting. She was about ready to just bust into his house without a formal greeting when thundering footsteps sounded down the hall. Maria jumped and moved out of the way in time for Evan to come barreling towards her. He grabbed the doorknob and stood their panting a bit for air. She raised a curious brow and rested one hand on her hip. Just what exactly was he doing? Evan was out of breath as he said, Wh-why wel-welcome Ria. S-so glad you could come. After catching his breath he opened his door and let her in.

She just shook her head at him. Evan was quite the character. So glad you could invite me, she replied. Maria walked in after and took in the sights. His apartment was the same as always, down to the Out of Order sign he taped to his television the first morning she had woken up here.
Well as you know, place isn't much different from last time you've been here. He stretched out his arm invitingly. Oh, hope you don't mind but someone else asked to come over so I said he could. Really sorry for not asking you first, he clasped his hands together and started bowing apologetically. After bringing himself back up he said, But ya know, the more the merrier right?
Maria gave him a hesitant glance before setting her stuff down. Sure. The more the merrier. She was definitely curious about who it might be. After taking off her shoes, Maria moved to the living room and began to set up a work station. She pulled her laptop out of her bag, along with her notebook and textbooks. She set everything into a neat pile on the coffee table and pushed the bag under the table with the inside of her foot. Soooo, who exactly is coming over? She couldn't help but ask. Curiosity got the best of her. Maria placed one hand over the chunky necklace at her throat, feeling the familiar pain in her chest that never seemed to go away anymore. She didn't want to get her hopes up as to who it might be and knowing Evan, he'd probably invite Torvald or someone over. She rolled her eyes at the thought and took a seat, extending her legs out full in front of her.
She clasped her hands on her knees and leaned forward to open her computer. Maria didn't think Evan actually had internet at his place, but at least her phone at that HotSpot function, so they wouldn't be without internet, if they actually ended up working on lessons. She had also noticed that he didn't comment on her hair. Did he honestly not realize? Maria knew Evan was dense, but she hadn't expected him to be that dense.

The movie started and Pierce made a small circle around her person with her school supplies. Her pizza plate sat to her right, pillows were propped up between her back and the wall, the laptop was resting directly in front of her, and the textbooks and notebooks to the left. She took slow, calculated breaths to keep calm. The last time Oliver was over, they were in the living room. The only people to ever step foot in her bedroom were her mother and Sophie. Even Doctor Dan had never crossed the threshold of her bedroom. She swallowed nervously and took a tentative bite of pizza to fill the silence. The opening credits played in the background, but she didn't look at the screen.

Oliver looked over at her and asked, So, are you going to be able to work with the movie going? We can start after we eat, if you want.

Pierce nodded, having not touched her Algebra book. Y - yeah. I can work easy with -- ah -- with the noise. She gulped and reached for the glass of apple juice she brought with, drinking it all down quickly. There was some opening laughter coming from her television and she glanced up at the movie. It was just getting started and already looked super cheesy. Communicating with ghosts via whiteboard? really? Pierce bit down on her lip and set the glass on the nightstand beside the photo of her father. Her chocolate brown eyes shifted hesitantly to Oliver and she cleared her throat. Th - thanks for ah ... coming. You don't know how much it means ... to me. Her face flushed red and she quickly added, A - Algebra, ya' know? Ha ... haha... She twirled a lock of long brown hair around one finger. Her heart was drumming wildly in her chest and she quickly looked away from him.

Her gaze landed on a photo of Sophie and herself and she grew quiet. Pierce picked at her fingernails and stared down at her hands. She wanted to be happy about Oliver coming over and no longer having to be alone, but between the hole left in her from her father and then Sophie, plus the absence of her mother as of late -- it was hard. She sighed. Her only solace was the constant checkup messages from Oliver. It really did make her feel guilty. Without looking up at him, she muttered,
I really am sorry that you have to keep checking on me. Even though the movie was playing, the words were lost on her. She chewed on the inside of her cheek, having no desire to truly eat. It had been hard to get herself to eat over the last couple months.

"That was him now. He's coming. And bringing his cousin. There may be something init for you too if you two hit it off."
Estelle laughed. "Alright, if you say so." She said dryly. She really doubted it. Plus she didn't know if she could handle just being around his cousin, never mind 'Hitting it off'. Not in the state she had put herself in. She sighed, still looking away from Nat.
Vega's anger was rising "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TALK TO ME THAT WAY YOU SPOILED LITTLE BRAT." Vega yelled as she heard the shops door open.
Estelle heard Vega as Bianca came and removed Whitey from the room. Estelle her the ringing of the door's bell downstairs. "Vega's scaring the company again." Estelle said to Nat as ran as fast as she could to the downstairs.
She ran down, tripping at the very last step, crashing into Vega. Both sisters fell to the ground, and Estelle started to laugh. "Oh, I'm ok." Estelle laughed, her sister had broken her fall. "Watch it!" Vega said, getting up and slapping Estelle with a cloth used for cleaning the table. "Hey sorry I tripped." Estelle laughed. She stood up, brushing herself off.
"You ok Vega?" Estelle asked. "Yes, but that selfish little-" Vega looked towards the door as Estelle cut her off. "Sorry about that, Alex." She said walking over to the boys, seemingly ignoring the other one. But still she felt the colour in her face start to leave it. "Um- it's a little bit... erg... crazy around here... I'll show you upstairs." Estelle said, feeling sick to her stomach, she walked up and sat on the couch, where Nat had come up. The other sisters were shooed into the bed rooms, Bianca and Whitey didn't seem to want to stick around.
"I'll- I'll make us something." She said uncomfortably as she told them to sit down. Her hands shook as she poured a drink for the 4 of them, and took out some snacks from the fridge. She brought them over, nearly dropping them all. Her skin was paler then the palest pedal on a flower. She sat down beside Nat, on the corner of the couch so no one would sit on the other side of her. She figured Alex would sit beside Nat anyway, but the other boy made her very very uncomfortable. She drank in silence, waiting for Nat to start the conversation.

Neither of the two boys were expecting the sit before them. Well, at least now Alex knew what Natalie meant in her text. Well hopefully nothing too bad would happen while they were there.
    "Sorry about that, Alex."

"Um- it's a little bit... erg... crazy around here... I'll show you upstairs."

"Don't worry about it." He replied, following behind Estelle up the stairs. When they were upstairs, he couldn't help but notice how nervous Estelle was being. Clearly it wasn't him causing any thing and she seemed used to the ruckus her cousins made. That only left Leon, but he'd barely said two words and his appearance definitely wasn't menacing or anything like that. After all he was related to himself after all.

From the moment that they walked in, Leon was at a loss for words. Not much of this was anything like he expected, though it all seemingly calmed down. When they got up the stairs, Leon noticed that Alex had sat next to another girl that was up there. Was that his girlfriend? It didn't feel right to just ask that out of nowhere so instead he decided to wait and see if anything that was said or done would give him his answer.

That was indeed quite the story she told, and how well she got into the story proved that she not only knew it by heart, but she also loved telling it.
"Sorry if I've bored you, I love story telling. That one is one of my favorites..."

"I wasn't bored, it was quite the interesting story." He replied, noticing that Seraphina had moved closer to him. While he did nothing to stop nor prevent her, he still couldn't help but grow somewhat uncomfortable with being this close to her. It was one of the feeling that he never got adjusted to he guess.

"Of course, they're all just hearsay, but so romantic...Don't you think so?"

"Yeah, I guess so." Just the way that she said that word only made him even more uncomfortable with this. Though it was clear that she serious. If how close she was to him didn't make that clear enough, then the twinkle in her eyes would be more than enough to tell that.

"I wasn't bored, it was quite the interesting story." He replied "Yeah, I guess so."
Seraphina looked at him, seemingly waiting for something, but nothing came. 'Nothing... Nothing at all.' She realized he looked a bit more uncomfortable. Seeing her advances were not getting her anywhere, she moved a bit. Her smile faded as she looked over at the water it gently moving along the shoreline. She moved her hand along her dress to straighten it out. She then looked back at him, no words forming she couldn't say a thing. She put her hands in her lap.
Her eyes had been dull, almost greyish, seeming to respond to her mood. 'Maybe I did something wrong...' she thought. 'I must have made a mistake... maybe... I just misunderstood' She thought to herself, tears starting to arise. She felt her face burn red. She stood up, and turned around for a few seconds to calm herself down.
She sighed heavily, crossing her arms. She took a deep breath, and then turned back to see him. She said nothing, but she knew she could feel a small tear drop onto the ground. "I'm sorry..." She was able to mutter out those words, bringing herself back to her orginal self, her face no longer red and her eyes no longer filled with such emotion..

Great, he upset her. He didn't know what exactly it was that he did wrong, but what he knew for certain was that he needed to fix it. The only problem was he had no idea how to do so. Think man think, there has to be something that I can do. He doubted telling her a story of his own would work and there wasn't many other things that he could think of.
That was when he thought back to the last thing she said. The fact the she was telling him something and he didn't get it was possibly the cause, but just realizing that wouldn't help. What he needed was a way to solve it. That was when the solution dong on him.
"Um, Seraphina." He said and when she turned around to look at him, he leaned in for a kiss. If this didn't work then he really was screwed.

    "I'll- I'll make us something."
Natalie looked at Estelle with a raised eyebrow. She wondered what was up with her. At that moment Alex entered alongside someone she assumed was his cousin. "Alex!" She said happily, immediately taking a seat on his lap and wrapping her arm around his neck once she was seated. "And this must be your cousin. hi, I'm Natalie." She greeted, giving a small wave.

"Oh, one sec." Natalie took a small remote from her pocket and pointed it at the iPhone hook up that was loudly playing her music. "There we go, sorry about that. Estelle and I were singing our heads off while we cleaned my room." She leaned her head on Alex's shoulder. "So how's it been for you two?"

"Oh, is THIS your boyfriend?" said a voice from the doorway.

    Oh joy...

"Yes Bianca, what of it?" Natalie retorted.

Bianca looked Alex up and down, before eyeing Natalie again. "I'll bite, what's wrong with him?"

    Oh. No. She. Didn't.

    Natalie stood up. "Excuse you?"
"You heard me." Bianca said with a nasty smile.
"Take it back." Natalie said, about to just lash out.
"How about I just repeat myself, since I honestly think you're too stupid to understand." Bianca leaned in closer. "What is wrong with him?" She asked slowly.

Before Bianca or anyone else could react, Natalie had grabbed Bianca by the collar and pushed her against the wall. "You're gonna regret that, princess." She said angrily.

Seraphina's eyes lit up as he leaned into kiss her. She didn't think he would... She smiled. She felt a faint blush on her face as she moved closer to him. This time she didn't resist. She put one of her hands on the side of his shoulder, brushing it with her hand slightly as she slid her arms to put them around his neck. She had realized that she had never kissed anyone before and slightly panicked. 'What if I don't do it properly? What IS properly? Ok... just relax... go with it. I didn't think this through did I now?'
She tried to look him in the eye first but then close them, feeling his warm lips brush against her own. She felt as if she had melted into his arms. They parted and she looked at him, still holding him close. She didn't know what to say to him now. She smiled at him lightly, moving her hands down to hold his own.
'Prefect...' She thought to herself, a her face redder then herfieryhair. It was... She looked at him again. 'That must have took him a lot of courage.' She thought her eyes softening. He was probably much more nervous then she was. She held him in a hug for a few seconds, and let go, taking his hands instead, still close together.

Angrier then she had ever been in her life, she moved Nat out of the way gently before lashing out at Bianca.
"How dare you?! How dare you insult my friends, and think you can just get away with it. Bianca, I have put up with you for a long time but no more. You live under my house and therefore you will follow my rules. You need to cool off!" She had grabbed Bianca by the collar too, but realize she wasn't setting a good example. She grabbed her tightly on the arm, and struggled to take her down the stairs.
She opened the door, and pointed to the outside. She handed her nothing more then her coat and a mask. "Get out." She whispered menacingly.
"Vega. A lesson needs to be learned here. Watch the door please." She hurried back up stairs. "I'm so sorry. Alex, Umm..." She realized she didn't know the other boys' name. "Cousin of Alex, I promise we're not crazy." She nodded. "They scream bloody murder at each other." She laughed. "I've never seen you so mad Nat." Estelle said drinking from her cup.
"Oh well, she won't bother us anymore. She just needs to cool down. I'm so embarrassed." Estelle said, taking another sip of her drink, remembering that she had been almost terrified of this boy a few minutes ago, she remained quiet, looking at him only one or twice. It was unsettling. She felt a bit sick and lied back on the couch.

"I see...so she left without even telling me..." Jonathan said closing his eyes as he let out a sigh. Not a smile, frown or even a scowl appeared on the boy's face as he listened to what his brother had to tell him. Jonathan had frequented his brother's house numerous time and even had his own key for the place that he had made sneakily when Julius did not expect it. He shook his head and walked out toward the kitchen "Well...its for the best...I'm happy for her" Jonathan said.

This did not amuse Julius at all, he merely sat on the couch and crossed his arms as he watched Jonathan walk off into the kitchen "That it? you act as if you don't care at all..." Julius said watching the boy as he was looking through the fridge and soon pulled out a can of cola.

"well, what do you want me to say? hm? Noelle is getting out of this plagued city and she has a huge chance to live on...I'm glad for her" Jonathan said with a soft smile before opening up the can and began to drink from it.

Julius' eye narrowed at the boy as he listened to him speak. In his eyes it was just bullshit that Jonathan would act so calmly about the situation. Jonathan was one of the few that had been able to keep an eye out on Noelle and if anything Jonathan had been pretty close with her. The fact that she left without telling him would have at least affected him somewhat. With that Julius closed his eyes and said the conclusion he had come up when observing his brother's actions. "Jonathan...you have feelings for Noelle...don't you..." Julius said

Immediately just hearing that caused Jonathan's eyes to widen and instantly he began to stop drinking his cola and cough as he beat his chest. "What the he-" Jonathan began to yell as he glanced over at Julius but immediately stopped the moment he caught sight of Julius. He was ready to deny it, but denying it wouldn't do anything really. He lowered his eyes softly and stared down at the can that he held in his hand "yeah....I do..." Jonathan said.

With that mere fact said Julius' eye opened up and stared at Jonathan with his eye narrowed "so why is it that you can remain so calm? don't you feel any form of frustration" Julius said. He never understood relationships and at the moment he felt he never would. Relationships were just hurricanes of emotions.

"Its because Noelle will never return my feelings in return..." Jonathan said noticing the confused look of Julius from the corner of his eyes and just let out a small silent chuckle as he continued to stare down at his can and narrowed his eyes softly. "I've accepted this a long time ago...her feelings for Bryan...they are not just a sibling bond, but her love for him is something greater than that...Bryan is gone and her heart is crushed...I can't fill that void" Jonathan before closing his eyes calmly "which is why I've accepted it...simple as that" Jonathan said

"If you know your feelings would never be returned then why are you sticking with her so much..." Julius said. He always knew Noelle and Bryan were close, but Julius never realized just how much Noelle truly felt about this. He never understood love, but this was not just about love, he never really understood his brother's actions really...

"Its simple really..." Jonathan sad as he turned to face Julius as he closed his eyes with a smile "If I can make her happy in some sort of way...then thats good enough for me" Jonathan said as he reached down into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He went down to Noelle's name and with that he began to write a text.

With the message sent Jonathan closed his eyes and let out a sigh before the boy suddenly smirked at Julius "Honestly Julius instead of worrying about me you should at least find yourself a wife...at this rate your gonna turn wrinkly...I don't wantcha to die old and alone now.." Jonathan said happily as he began to run and dodge the incoming thrown objects. For the sake of other Jonathan was one who would hide his true feelings in order to preserve the good time...for him nothing was better than these carefree times.

could you do it? betray yourself for love?

Feall is currently living with his parents, just a few hours out from Fortissimo, due to the quarantine forcing him out of his dorm room. Ava May Thompson, his childhood friend, is staying with his family for the same reason. The two of them are in his kitchen, cooking lunch. They are alone, as his parents are both working.

"Can you check on the oven, I'm afraid the food is going to burn." Said Ava, making a motion with her head toward the oven. "Sure, oh, they're just perfect now!" Feall cheerfully said, carefully removing the food from the over, making sure not to burn himself. The duo worked in tandem like a choreographed dance hurriedly mixing, pouring, placing, and stacking things. They loved to cook together, and after the years they'd fallen into a smooth rhythm. "Will you hand me the tongs?" Asked Feall. As Ava reached over to hand him the utensil, they slipped out of her hand. Both of them reacted quickly, and reached for the falling tongs. The utensil hit the floor, rattling as it bounced. Feall's face turned bright red for a moment as he looked down to see that Ava had caught his hand instead. The two of them quickly turned away from eachother and continued working in silence. Personal contact had been a bit of a trigger for the past few months, after Ava had attempted to confess her love for Feall. At the time, Feall didn't know how to respond, and ended up pretending not to have heard what she said. Not the smartest decision, as he was looking directly at her at the time. She had taken this as a sign of his lack of interest, but the truth was he loved her in return, but was afraid to admit it.

Finishing up their meal, they sat down at the kitchen table to eat. The silence was getting a bit too awkward for Feall, so he decided to say something. "So what do you think it is, the sickness going around, I mean?" She thought for a moment. "I'm not sure ... I've done some research, but nothing is really matching up. It's weird." She said, trailing off. "I haven't heard anything, either, the symptoms seem so innocuous, but the mortality rate is 100%...it's disturbing. I would think something so deadly would have much more severe symptoms." He began playing with his food a bit more than eating it. "Same. I kind of have a feeling there's something they're not telling us, which I know sounds like something a conspiracy theorist would say, but I don't know. What we know about the virus so far isn't making much sense and now they've holed us all up in one place. I hope they get it sorted out soon. I don't want to be trapped in Percival forever, you know ... My parents are really worried. They wanted me to visit for spring break but, well, here I am ... Err ... I mean, not that being here - with you - is bad, or anything ... Um ..." She began to stutter a bit and nervously began to attempt at trying to look casual as she continued eating. "It's definitely strange...do you think perhaps the government may be hiding something? Like an alien virus, or a new chemical weapon?!" He asked, taking a few small bites of his food. He was teasing her a bit, but he also had a bit of serious concern. He knew that it could be a very real possibility that there was something behind this that...someone wasn't letting the public know. "Pfft, I hope not." She snorted, not taking the question seriously at all. "Well, hey, let's look on the bright side, we're getting to spend a lot of time together outside of school, and the online classes are so hastily thrown together that we're done with them all before the day's half over. Plus my parents don't get home until at least 6 PM...it's..it's sort of like we're an old married couple." He forced a chuckle and continued eating, hoping she'd just let the awkwardness of what he'd just said slide. "... Yeah, it is." She looked at Feall, seemingly as if asking him to continue with the thought. He looked away from her gaze and blushed for a moment before trying to quickly think of something to say. "He-hey, looks like we're done, let's clean up and watch something, what do you say?" She looked at him for a moment and let out a quiet sigh before agreeing. The pair cleaned up the mess they had made in the kitchen and headed out to the living room to see what was on TV.

They finished up a delicious lunch and scurried off to the robin's egg blue kitchen to clean up after themselves. Ava had to admit, it was a lot more comfortable for her when Feall's family was away. She had chalked it up to feeling less invasive when everyone else was gone ... Not that his family had ever given her a reason to feel unwelcomed. She loved his family and they had made it preeeetty clear that they loved having her around, too.

And so another part of it, if she were honest with herself, was probably just wishing Feall and her really did live alone together. It was like playing house, and it was a lot of fun! It was probably as close as she'd ever get really being with him, anyway. Considering he wasn't interested in her.

Having so much time out of school was strange and depressing. Ava loved school. Not being able to go felt like some kind of cruel punishment, and the online classes only lasted for so long. The worst part about it was that despite all of the free time they had together, Feall and her couldn't actually go anywhere without risk of getting sick and dying apparently. It was stressful enough watching his parents leave the house let alone convincing herself that nothing terrible would happen if the two of them just went for a walk or something.

Feall had a car, one he had just gotten a month ago before the outbreak. His parents weren't very well off and they both worked so hard so that he could afford to go to the academy. As ... avoidant as he could be, Feall was a hard worker when he really wanted something. He had been working summer and spring break jobs for years, ever since he was 14 to afford his car, which he finally had enough money for this year.

She[/url] was proud of him, and had considered asking him to go on some kind of a small road trip to celebrate but she wasn't sure about it. Where would they go? To the other side of the county? It would be fun, but to risk getting sick ... was it worth it? Nowadays someone coughing or sneezing would land them in the hospital. It was scary. Regardless, they had to find some way to safely get out of the house from time to time or she was going to go crazy.

They washed dishes and put their leftovers away for a later snack before finally moving to the living room to watch TV. As usual, she took the couch cushion on the left and curled into the armrest, seizing control of the remote and flipping through the channels until she found something appeasing. Feall didn't usually mind. He didn't usually mind most things, he just ~ went with the flow ~, which was respectable in it's own right. Ava was different, though.

They settled on Bizarre Weddings, a reality TV show that chronicled the ridiculous engagements and later the wedding ceremonies of random eccentric couples. It was interesting and also kind of hilarious at times. She enjoyed commentating and getting a feel for Feall's ideal wedding, though it wasn't ever easy to get too large of an opinion out of him either way. Especially about something like ... that. ... Sure wasn't going to stop her from trying, though!

The living room was soon filled with the sound of generic commercials and Ava shifted a bit on the couch, taking her snowy-haired friend into view with a smile. She nudged his leg with her foot to catch his attention.

Soooo, any of those weddings look like a dream come true to you? Her voice was tinged with a clear playfulness and she curled her legs back underneath her, smoothing out her floral skirt. I mean, personally, a shark tank wedding is a bit much but, hey.

Torvald rubbed his mask. What kind of fools were running up and about in the midst of this deadly virus?

    His comrades, apparently.

Could he consider them such, after all thus? Ah ... he leaned back on his chair and tapped his fingers on the desk.

Did he want to go outside to meet the others? Rainbow seemed to throw him off like a misused revolution rag. He groaned. Whatever. He wished for anything in the world more than to finish this work.

Torvald rose slowly like a careful colossus, and floated to his door to take apart the junk barricading it. He moved aside the tables with little effort, the chairs with a miserable attempt at grace that ended with him dropping them loudly and probably startling the entire floor, and carefully picked up the plants and bits of things to set aside where he would try not to forget them among the concert of other random objects. He rubbed his hands together and opened the door.

Rainbow's home was not that far from the Candlewood core, and an uneventful bus ride away, where Torvald sat at the very back, brought him directly to the front door. He had rarely visited the houses of those supporting his revolutionary struggles, and as he stared down the home, he was unsure at first of what to do.

He did not spot the doorbell. Was there even one? Torvald took no chances and decided to knock on the door instead. He raised a fist and banged on the door twice, before stopping himself and turning it into a gentle rap.

    << Oops, >> He said.

Maria had gone to the bathroom and when she came out, there was a loud pounding at the door, followed by a light rapping against the wood. "I'll get it," she called to Evan and made her way down the hall. This must have been the other person he invited to study with them. She stopped in front of the door, wiping her slightly still damp hands on her hips. As usual she still felt worn out and tired, but she had been working on wearing a smile more often, at least to mask the constant feel of heartache. Maria opened the door and much to her dismay, found Torvald standing in the hall. "...Oh. It's you." Her expression fell immediately and she let go of the knob. Maria turned in the direction of the living room and called, "Evan Torvald's here!" He failed to mention who exactly was coming over. The cheeky bastard probably did it on purpose. She moved away from the door and glanced up at the looming blond figure. "Well come in," she said hastily before heading to the living room.

She scowled at Evan and returned to her spot on the couch. The last time she had a real conversation with Torvald was on the floor of Julius's hospital room. He had left to study abroad shortly after. He picked a bad time in the semester to return. The amount of disdain she had originally felt towards him had lessened after that, but she still needed to keep up appearances. Some of what he said really stuck and after seeing Tucker with Freya -- well now she knew what changed.

She looked away from both the men in the room and stared vacantly at the Out of Order sign on the TV. He would rather be with a high schooler. She had been trying really hard to let it go and move on. Maria had never felt so rejected before. In high school she had people following her around all the time and while she stopped acting so ditzy and clueless after the incident, it didn't mean she lost fans in college. The school productions were a great way for her to get her name out there and it paid off, but the only person she truly cared to pay attention to her, had chosen a kid.

She sighed and turned her head. Maria was receiving a look and clearly missed something in ths conversation as she floated in her deppressed little world. "I'm sorry, what now?" Her icy blue eyes shifted between Evan and Torvald. She propped her elbow up on her knee and rested her chin on the back of her hand.
