DAY: 4 - 1/5 MOOD: Displeased as usual LOCATION: Breakfast Table

Being able to read to his heart's content was doing wonders for his mood. He had been significantly happier reading in relatively silent peace. There had been some sort of clamoring here and there, nothing that was too bothersome for him. The books he had at hand were far more interesting than whatever was going on with those no good morons in the house. Having the others there in the house was a gripe for him, but since he rarely ever saw them it wasn't much more than a minor nuisance. Reading through the Percy Jackson series was a great way for him to kill the time. They even had House of Hades there, which was shocking. He knew that it came out fairly recently, so seeing it here in this dream library was a pleasant surprise. It was definitely a great read, that was for certain.

It was morning now, and it was just about time for breakfast. He had been slowly losing track of what day it was as this dream wore on. Constantly reading in the library certainly didn't help that either. The well-read sadist made his way to the breakfast table where other people had already gathered. And just like that, at the mere sight of the others, his displeased mood came rushing back. The faces of the others reminded of him why this wasn't exactly a dream as he took his seat away from the others. As he sat there, he started to wish that they'd just disappear. All at once or one by one, either would do as long as they were just gone.

The scent of breakfast wafted through the air, and even though it should've made him want to eat more, he felt a strange tingle in his spine. Something just felt really off about the smell of the food, even though it was to die for. There was just something about it that made him dislike the scent. For the life of him, he couldn't say what it was. As he stared down at the proffered plate of breakfast, he couldn't find anything that seemed strange about it. Nothing he could think of that was out of the ordinary was on the plate. Just a good looking meal.

He picked at it with a fork repeatedly before finally deciding to take a bite. Much like the scent before, the taste was great, but putting it in his mouth just felt really off. It was just so bizarre, it was good, but at the same time it wasn't. The conflicting messages in his head started to give him a headache as he continued to eat. Perhaps he was over thinking the whole thing. He had really hoped that it was all just in his head. Still, the feeling that something was wrong with the meal just wouldn't leave him.

"Maybe they just got up and went for a walk." Lili repeated. That was probably true. She had skipped breakfast the other day and no one probably thought it was out of place. They could just be in one of the other rooms.

Lilica picked up a fork and started tapping it on the edge of her plate. The girl next to her had asked he name. "My name?" There was a pause between sentences."Lilica. I'm Lilica." She realized that despite being in the hospital for so long, she didn't actually know any of the other patients. As she continued to tap her fork on her plate in a steady rhythm another person, a younger girl who was holding a bear, came strolling into the dining room and took a seat near where she had entered. The two seemed to know each other. Lilica looked at the food as the little girl asked her about it. It smelled like normal food and looked like normal food. But something bothered her about it. "No." She said answering the question.

Someone else had walked in and took a seat at the table. Tap. Tap. Tap. Lilica continued tapping the fork on her plate. She recognized the guy who had walked in, but she didn't know his name. And he didn't look particularly friendly, so she made a mental note to not bother him if she could help it. Lilica suddenly had a thought. Wouldn't the chef have told them what they were eating for breakfast, and where was the Dream Maker she should be her. Shortly after she had those thoughts she forgot about the and just kept taping on her plate.

A voice had called out and the cue for Laurence to awaken had been set. His eyes had slowly opened up, but the very moment they had fully opened up the blondie had risen to his feet excitedly and placed his sunglasses on. "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING BROTHERS AND SISTERS" Laurence cried out all too happily to the brothers and sisters that were around him as he got himself ready and rushed out of the room.

Such a lovely smell had found it's way into the nose of Laurence and he felt like he was at a higher plane of heaven. He happily skipped down the halls towards the dinning room and gave everybody a wide and happy grin. "LET US DINE ON OUR DELICIOUS BREAKFAST!" Laurence cried out. Today was such a wondrous day for him, the headache that had plagued him was now over and he was able to awaken to such a delicious smell.

Laurence couldn't wait to chow down on the food made my chef Tamsey. He took his seat, took his utensils and readied himself to eat. With his knife he cut the meat and with his fork he stabbed it and pulled it up to his mouth and began to chew on it. It was a lovely taste one surely made by the hands of the goddess' chef. It was like Chef Tasmey took the most shittiest of objects and turned it into such a delicious and wondrous of meals. The man deserved praise and Laurence was sure to give the man the praise he deserved. To be with the people he loved and be able to share such a meal, surely this was what he had thanks for. It was like thanksgiving....without the killer turkeys.

Chef Tamsey with delight as the children began to file in one at a time. Oh how grand this was. Oh! And someone had partaken in his special! This pleased him greatly. "Today, I made you all special hash-browns with... chicken." He just couldn't ruin the surprise, now could he? "That is why I have served you today, it would have upset my servers to serve you this special dish of mine. Oh, but if you don't like it... I guess I could fetch you something else more desirable for your pallet." He sighed. He really hoped everyone would eat and enjoy his creation. "Mistress Dream Maker will possibly be late this morning. She has some things to attend to. But please, eat! Feel free to start without Dream Maker. She will perhaps join later." He bowed and stood in the corner of the room, prepared to take orders if he needed to just in case someone didn't like his special...

Another person had entered the room. "LET US DINE ON OUR DELICIOUS BREAKFAST!" He was really loud. Though, she couldn't understand how someone could be so happy in the morning. She looked at her food wondering what it was. But whatever it was is smelled good.

After seeing some of the others beginning to eat she didn't want to be the one who was left out. Lilica had stopped tapping on her plate and brought the food up to her mouth with her fork. The food was delicious. She had never had food like this before. It was actually. Almost as soon as she had started eating the chef had come in. What she eating was hash browns with chicken. Taking another bite of her food she continued to listen to the chef. The Dream Maker was apparently going to be late today. Which was fine. after all he said she would join later. As the chef went to stand in the corner, Lilica got up from her seat, careful not to bother those around her, and walked over to him.

"Hello," quietly she continued, "Do you cut you hair?" Lilica pointed at his hair. Then she pointed to her own hair which almost went down to the ground. "Mine has never been cut."

No one had asked for a different breakfast yet. Good, good, good. Everyone seemed to enjoy the meal with no questions asked. He was happily standing in the corner when one of the guests stood from her place at the table and came over to him. She greeted him, and then began to talk to him. No one had every talked to him before, save to ask for what kind of meal they wanted. He was just fine with that. This was a bit odd to him though. "Er, why no," Chef Tamsey said with a smile, taking his hair and stroked the long beautiful locks. "Never in my life had I cut this beautiful hair... Save to trim the bangs. Although once one of my chickens chopped at it with scissors, quite on accident." Chef Tamsey waved his hand as he laughed. "It was a disaster. Long hair is beautiful though, don't you think?"

Xyloh was usually one of the first people to be at breakfast, but today she was running late. She must have slept longer than she thought she would. She was rushing her way to the dining room only to stop herself in front of the music room again. She stared at the the blue violin, which almost taunted her for her inability to play.

Xyloh decided she wouldn't eat breakfast today.
She made her way in and grabbed the blue violin and started up with her attempts again, she had to tune up the violin from her playing the night before. She kept stressing herself out until the point where she took a break and calmed herself down by playing the violin Pizzicato.

"Chickens with scissors? " Lilica didn't know that chickens could use scissors. Now that she thought about it she realized that there were sharp objects here. She had never been allowed to use scissors. The girl started to wonder if she should look for some scissors later. And maybe a hat.

Lilica started getting pulled into her thoughts when she was brought back to reality, if that's what you want to call it, when she heard the chef continue. " Yeah!," Lilica put more excitement in her voice." Long hair is the best. It flows in the wind like wheat!" She had this weird fascination with wheat. When she saw pictures of a golden sea of wheat, she always thought they were really pretty.

Her voice quieted back down to an almost saddened tone as she started again. "Oh, you can also braid it . But, I don't know how to do that. It's confusing." Lilica remembered the first and last time she tried to braid her hair. They looked cool so she wanted to try. But she ended up knotting her hair and it took her hours to undo what she did. The girl perked up again as if she remembered something. "You have chickens?"

Much to his surprise upon waking up, Leon found that he'd ended up falling asleep in the library. A closer looked showed that the book he was reading was in front of where his head had been, on the last page he remember reading as well. Before he could make any other observations, a delicious smell graced his nose. Clearly breakfast was ready so he closed the book, making sure to mark the page he was last reading, and left for the dinning hall.
When he got to the Dinning Hall the food had just been served and most of the others were there. There were some people who were there. The girl who gotten stab with a fork and the one who'd gave him a piece of banana bread were the ones that he noticed first. The others, he remembered what they looked like so it was easy for him to tell that they weren't here.
Taking a seat, he remained quiet as he waited to be served. It wasn't like he was in too much of a hurry anyway. If anything after eating, he'd probably head back to the library to continue reading to book.

"You don't know how to braid your hair?" Chef Tamsey asked with a raised eyebrow and a tilted head. This was so out of character for Chef Tamsey. Never had a guest of the house carried a conversation like this before with him. He was actually touching with someone on a personal level for once. "Oh dear, I can braid if you would like me to? Right after breakfast gets cleaned up?" He smiled and stood to attention. "Or you could ask Allie, Callie, or Charles to do it for you if you rather. They're pretty good with hair as well!"

Basil slipped into the music room, finding the source of the lovely music. Although Xyloh was just practicing, anyone who could play a musical instrument was amazing to the little boy. Although he was drawn by the melody of the violin, Basil's eyes were tired. He looked drained and pale as if he was sick, and he might as well be. The boy wondered if anyone would notice anything different, or ask... For now, he was going to somewhat keep to himself. The less others knew what was happening, the better it was. That's what Jonquil told him. He had a basket with white lilies and black looking roses in them, freshly picked from the garden. Where was the boy that knew about the flowers...?

Not wanting to disturb Xyloh, Basil silently threaded across the room to one of the vases that was full of wonderful, beautiful vibrate flowers and picked a black rose out of the basket. He didn't realize how shaky his hand was... Just looking at the rose made his stomach churn.

    "Mroooow."

The noise from his kimono made Basil jump, knocking over the vase on its side. Water spilled everywhere and the vase rolled on the table top, threatening to fall. Basil quickly grabbed it before it crashed to the floor and heaved his shoulders with relief. Oh, he made such a mess. And such a noise as well. He kept his eyes down as he set the vase back in place, silently placing the flowers back where they were supposed to go.

Lilica was happy that someone was talking to her. When she would try to talk to someone it would only be a brief exchange of words and that was it. Most of the time she was usually ignored because she didn't really stand out. To be honest she was actually surprised that Chef Tamsey kept talking to her. And she was even more surprised when he offered to braid her hair.

She grabbed her hair. "Right after breakfast get cleaned up," Lilica echoed. Hearing that some of the others that worked could also braid made her feel helpless, like she was the only one who couldn't. But the chef had offered. She furrowed her eyebrows and pursed her lips in thought. Letting someone do her hair wasn't something she'd ever let anyone do. And after a few more seconds of thought she replied with an answer. " Um... Okay. But only because you seem nicer than the others." Honestly, Lilica had been a little afraid of the staff when they were introduced when everyone arrived in the dream world.

Analise quietly ate her breakfast not asking anymore questions once chef Tamsey explained what they where eating. It didn't quite taste the same as chicken but perhaps it was one of those giant chickens and they tasted different. The was at ;east the best that Analise could guess given her current knowledge of what was in front of them. After a few bites of the chicken despite tasting good Analise found herself not really enjoying it all that much. She just didn't happen to be in the mood for meat that morning, so she picked around it instead just eating the hash browns. They where good hash browns, not bland and soggy like the ones at the hospital. Analise ate almost all of them on her plate.

Once Analise finished eating leaving a small pile of meat on the side of her plate she turned to Sammy. "So I was planning on going to find Basil. Want to come with me?" Analise slid her sketch pad onto her lap and gripped it tight. She was both excited and nervous about showing Basil her drawing. "I was going to show him something....." Analise hesitated before going on. Questioning if she wanted to show Sammy her drawings or not. "Would you tell me if it is any good before I do?" She finally completed her thought as she flipped to the second page of the sketch book. The one that held the picture of Basils cat. She tried to avoid showing or making Sammy curious about the other picture she drew. She didn't know why but that picture of the black rose was something she was uncomfortable showing people.

Samantha ate the food presented to her quickly. She still wasn't sure what it was, it tasted like chicken but a little off, but whatever it was didn't matter to her; it tasted fantastic. She looked down every now and then at Mr Bear, making sure he hadn't wandered off again. She turned her head to the side slightly as Analise asked her if she wanted to go with her to find Basil. "Who's Basil?" she asked. She had no idea who he was, but she liked the name Basil. Maybe it was because it reminded her of the spice that was used in her mothers' cooking, something she often enjoyed helping with before she had begun having the hallucinations.
Sammy was about to ask more about Basil, until she saw Analise's sketch book. Her eyes lit up just a little bit when Analise asked her if she would tell her if the drawing was good or not. Drawing was one of the things she had enjoyed in the hospital, even if she didn't do it much, but was she good enough at it to be a judge? She peered over a little at the picture. A short gasp escaped the girl's mouth as her child mentality took over. "What a pretty kitty! You're drawing is prettiful!" Samantha complimented. The word 'prettiful' was something she used to describe something she thought was beautiful, much to her parents' discouragement.

Analise hadn't even thought that Samantha might not know who Basil was. Simple thoughts like that rarely crossed Analises mind. "Oh, um Basil? He is a boy I met the other day. That is his cat I drew. He's the gardeners assistant if I remember correctly." Analise said as she began to bite her thumb nail, or what was left of it. She had been biting at it a lot since they arrived in the dream world and at the pace she was going there wasn't going to be anything left to bite at anymore.
"Y-you really like my drawing?" Analise questioned, not used to being complimented on.. well anything really. "Thanks." She finished as she took her sketch pad back. "Um... So Basil doesn't speak, so don't be confused about that if we go to meet him." Analise explained to Sammy not knowing what else to say. There was nothing else to talk about with the drawing so she moved to the first thing that came to her mind. Analise stood up from her chair then tucked it back neatly under the table before pulling out Sammy's chair for her and offering a small smile. Analise was really trying hard to make friends with this girl. Despite their age difference Analise felt comfortable around her unlike a lot of the other people here who had also come from the hospital.

Chef Tamsey smiled and bowed to Lilicia. "Let me fetch a brush for your hair and a hair tie." The chef then scurried off through the kitchen, for there was a small hallway from the kitchen that led into the servant quarters. Soon, he rushed back to Lilicia's side and smiled. "Now, shall we begin?" Eager to begin, Chef Tamsey began to brush her hair gently to get all the knots out. "So you never cut your hair ever either?"

As the chef left to the kitchen, Lilica slumped down to the floor and stretched her legs straight out in front of her. She reflected on what she had done that day. First, she had and actual conversation for once. Which was new. Sure, it was about hair. But still. Second, getting her hair braided was now a task that the chef was happily going to do. Lilica wasn't entirely sure how she got from eating breakfast from getting her hair done, but she had.

The brunette saw her new acquaintance enter the room again. And Lilica scrambled from her sitting position to a standing one. When he started brushing her hair, she covered her eyes with her hands so the only light she could see were the streams slipping between her fingers. Even though she knew her hair wasn't going to get chopped off, Lilica was still nervous. When Chef Tamsey asked her a question she had replied with an answer. "Nope."

OOC// I'm on my phone, sorry. Day is ending today for sure though.

Chef Tamsey smiled at the girl as he gently brushed her long hair. "That's amazing! You must really treasure it greatly. I feel honoree to be able to handle it." As soon as he brushed out the knots, he ran his fingers through her hair and began to braid it. "Such beauty..."

After leaving the dining hall, Leon headed back to the rooms and decided to get some sleep. This time he'd prefer to sleep in a bed then on a desk in the library. So with that thought ou of mind, he got into the bed and fell asleep.

Her hair was in a braid instead of flowing freely behind her like usual. It felt weird, but she could get use to it. Lilica left the dining room. She thought she might as well get some sleep.

As Lilica inferred the girls room and collapsed onto her bed, sleep came easily and effortlessly. She quickly fell into a peaceful sleep just like the night before.

DAY: 4 - 7/7 MOOD: Fair LOCATION: Library ==> Bedroom

Time seemed to escape him as he spent countless hours in the Library reading as much as he could. This time, he had started reading a collection of horrible dreams people had in the form of short stories. The collection itself was titled "Nightmare Fiction," though each individual story within had its own title. One of the nightmares had been about this one figure called the "Bedman," a sickly looking man that remained stuck to a bed that came to life. It was definitely an interesting read, as well as the many other stories that were held within the confines of the book's bindings.

He was about to go pull out another book from the shelf that had caught his fancy, but it seemed to be getting rather late. The spine of the book was simply labeled "Plastic Night." The title alone seemed interesting. There were so many possibilities as to how the story would unfold. Judging from the title alone, he had to guess that it was some kind of horror novel about something involving plastic, perhaps dolls. It was definitely on top of his "To Read" list now, that's for sure. It would have to wait for the next day since this one seemed to be drawing to a close.

It seemed so odd to have to go to sleep in a dream, almost unreal. Then again, he was in a dream, so anything was possible. With all of the reading materials available to him, it had to be a dream. All of the books they had at the hospital were really boring or non-fictional. It wouldn't have killed them to actually get something that didn't talk about old men reflecting on their lives or some bullshit like that.

After some mulling over in his head, he made his way back to the sleeping quarters. As much as he didn't like it, he had to go to bed now. His body was demanding that he do so. How bothersome, if he had his way, he'd just spend night and day reading through the amazing collection of books in the library. That way, he'd be marginally happier. Whatever, sleep was a necessity so that he could function properly. Well, his definition of properly. Others had drastically different ideas of what was proper and all of that nonsense. He really wished he could just strangle those people for having different opinions. It was so annoying. Especially when one person decides to force his down your throat with no prodding of any kind.

Thinking about that kind of thing was harshing his mellow. So with nothing much left to do in the day, he lay down in his bed and fell asleep.
