That night ended with Altair sleeping on a chair with his arms crossed. Time moved on and morning hit. Before the teen could even open his eyes a sound reached his ears. A peculiar new story was being played in the background and Altair listened to it thoroughly despite pretending to be fast asleep. His little waiting game had come to an end and now it was time he had to confront the girl himself. The time to play ignorant had come to an end and he could not ignore hearing this newscast. "Heidi...you've still never told me anything about yourself" Altair said before opening his eyes and staring over at the girl.

"There is no point in hiding anything, I want to hear your story with your own words, not from any of the documents or rumours I've heard" Altair said. Those strange voices she heard, the self-pain she endured, Altair never took a blind eye to all of that. Altair had done all his research and so did the old man. He could have said something, but he waited, he wanted to hear the words from Heidi's own mouth and to know she was comfortable enough to tell him.

There was a time when Daniel was caught for pick pocketing, though instead of reporting it to the cops the guy called on his friends. That beating was brutal and should have thought her a lesson never to be forgotten, but instead she returned the favor and carried on with stealing things. Still, she was sore for weeks after that.

Right now reminded her of that night as every inch of her ached in some way. There was not a movement she could make that didn't cause some pain so she did whatever she could to stay still and tried going back to sleep but there was a weight on her chest. At first it felt just like another ache but as she started coming to it was...different.

Eyelids fluttered open. Silence remained. A dimly lit room greeted her vision along with a white ceiling made to look blue by the morning light.

This...was not the ceiling of her room.

Heading twitching slightly as she tried to look to her side, unsuccessfully, Daniel realized that there was in fact something on her chest. It was hard to do but she managed to tilt her head just enough to see what it was.

    ...

Hands suddenly reaching around in the slowest manner possible, she found herself desperately looking for something help her for now she stared straight into the eyes of a monster of a snake with limited ability to move. Moving didn't seem like it would be a good idea anyway, but if she could she might of just flipped out and flung the thing across the room.

Maybe the thing was sleeping...with no eyelids it was hard to tell but it hadn't attacked yet so it was possible. Or maybe it was just taunting her.

Aha. Here was something...something with buttons? It could be a remote in which case maybe the TV would draw the snake's attention and make it go towards it. Or it could provoke it to strike. Though with little choice here she decided to just go ahead and press them.

A moment passed. Nothing turned on or change in the room but shortly after the pressing of the buttons the door to the room opened and someone turned on the lights. Thank god they didn't scream. No, there were not screaming but there was running. Running away?

No please don't leave me alone with this thing. I can't fight it. I can't be so defenseless. Just fucking save me, please just - -

A shadow loomed over her and then a hand, it reaching for the mouth of the snake. What a brave, stupid soul. Not saving themselves.

It worked though, as they grabbed the mouth, holding it shut. Once they had that and picked up the things tail with their other hand they - the man by their voice - called out for help. Seconds later others were in the room and the one with the snake left, mentioning calling for someone to take it.

A deep sigh of relief was had as the doctors - wait why were there doctors? - began examining her for bite marks. It didn't seem like any will be found.

So...just what exactly happened to land her in the hospital?

    xxxxxxx"Get up!"
xxxxxxxHer eyes snapped open at the rude awakening. That steely soprano voice could not disguise itself even in her dreams. She loathed that sound and even more so, she loathed what her mother tossed down onto her lap. It was that dress. Marina glanced at the clock and frowned. "It is not even visiting hours yet," she whined.
xxxxxxx"It doesn't matter. You're being discharged and coming back home with me. The reporters will arrive in two hours time and you better do something about your attitude."
xxxxxxxShe narrowed her eyes at her mother as she walked out of the room. A petite black nurse with sleek curled hair shuffled in after her mother's grand departure. The woman informed her of the fact that she would be helping her bathe and get dressed. This was the most distasteful news yet. Worse than the dress. Not only would she have to spend an unknown amount of time with this nurse, but she would be touching her. How disgusting. Clara, as the nurse had called herself, helped Marina out of her bed and to the bathroom-- much to her undeniable protest. The bathing, it was by far the worst part. She squirmed both in pain and in protest. There were deep dark bruises covering her entire body and when the soap touched the gash in her arm, she screamed.
xxxxxxxDrying off was just as bad, as Clara took a towel to her damp body. Marina felt like she would throw up during the whole ordeal. She helped her into the dress and put her hair up into a ponytail, with the big blue bow resting at the base. The long white sleeves covered her freshly bandaged and the nurse suggested staying off the heels for a little while. That was heart breaking. Would this day provide any good news? She sighed as she waited on the bed for her mother to return. Her phone flashed with new messages. Elliot. So he finally responded.

xxxxxxxShe read the most recent message first, then the older one (but not older by much). Marina found it simpler to just respond to both messages at once. It took her a minute though to fully understand whom he meant by blue haired menace. Eventually the name came to her and she chuckled.

xxxxxxxClara came back with her mother and a wheelchair in tow. She lowered her down off of the bed and into the chair. Clara gathered up Marina's things and placed them in a small bag on her lap. As they walked, and Marina rolled, down the hall, her mother babbled on about the various things she had missed in her time away from home. Her eyes drifted around the halls absently until she caught a small slithery movement in one corner. Her breathing stopped and then there was shouting.

xxxxxxx"Shut all the doors! Did anyone call animal control yet? Or Antilum Labs?!"[DOUBLEPOST=1358935306][/DOUBLEPOST]

xxxxxxx"Heidi...you've still never told me anything about yourself" The sound of Altair's voice startled her. How much had he heard? "There is no point in hiding anything, I want to hear your story with your own words, not from any of the documents or rumours I've heard" Welp, that answered that question.

xxxxxxxHer brown eyes flashed up to his black body in the chair. He was still as Marcus. It was sad, but she had almost begun to grow accustomed to seeing him that way. She glanced down at Marcus who appeared to be out cold on the floor. Altair had been pretending to sleep. Why would he do that? This was a nightmare. She didn't want him to know. She didn't want him to look at her differently. She had been trying her hardest to conceal it, but it did know good. They were just too noticeable.

xxxxxxx"I...I didn't want you to know. I just...I didn't want you to treat me differently, 'cause I..." she trailed off. "...My mom. It's hereditary. I got it from her." Tears stained her cheeks more quickly now. Heidi went back to gazing upon the vacant television screen. She couldn't look at him, not while having this talk. Talking with Harley about it was bad enough. "I've spent most of my life in and out of hospitals. My grandma used to take care of us both, until she died..." At the hands of Ramona. "Then they took my mom away and sent me to live with Aunt Stacey, who is not sick." Her chest, it hurt too much. She couldn't keep going. Why did he want to know? Would he use it against her somehow? She hoped not, but anyone wishing to know the intimate details of her life made her wary.

xxxxxxxHeidi pulled her knees up to her chest-- this act was so much easier in her own body-- and wrapped her arms around them tightly. It wasn't just the two of them. She couldn't start freaking out. Casey, Zoey, and Marcus were there too. Heidi buried her face into her knees, hiding the shame she felt about her existence as a whole.

Bronagh woke up slowly, the after-effects of the medication still heavily effecting what she was doing.
I hope I get to leave here on Christmas or something...
She sat up, she could not leave. The nurse had moved her wheelchair so she couldn't take off on her own. She felt trapped and sighed, lying back down.
Instinctively she grabbed her phone and opened up her email, she had a decent amount of Bellhurst student emails, she couldn't say who's was who's she had taken them as she had seen them when the school sent out emails for announcements.
Bronagh typed out a letter, smiling slightly out of the corner of her mouth. After she re-read it a couple times, she pressed enter.
ooc: go ahead and choose whether or not you got the email.
Bronagh continued to look around on her phone after she sent the message, within a few minutes she was getting a few students replying.
-No way! I cannot believe that, did this really happen?
    -It's always the quiet ones
-What a shame, I hope you are alright though er... B?
Still on her medication, Bronagh dozed off again, locking her phone as it slid off her stomach and next to her.

OOC- Jesus, Bronagh is bringing ALLLL the drama llamas. All of them. Also what the fudge does pending mean? @_@

Allison woke up the next morning and turned her head to see herself sleeping next to her, thus confirming that yes they were still body swapped, she and Elizabeth. It looked like the two of them had ended up sleeping with their backs to each other and Harley was left alone. Well that was fine, who knew what went on on his bed the past few days. She slowly got up and just sat on the edge of the bed for a time before stepping off and allowing Elizabeth to have the rest of it. What should they do today? Were there still snakes in the room? Did they get in? She really found it hard to believe that the people whose JOBS were catching these things and containing them or at least cleaning up their mess, all went home and called it a day yesterday. Leaving everyone else to fend for themselves.

"And I assume that your Aunt Stacy must treat you like crap" Altair said as he stood up and walked up to the girl and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I would never treat you any different from the way I do now." Altair said closing his eyes as he let out a sigh "Nothing will change at all, I just wanted to know from your own word, so I can help you" Altair said giving her a soft smile

Help? Isn't it far more than that?

"So don't worry, just stick by me if you wish" Altair said.

A broken girl...wouldn't she be the perfect tool to observe?

"I'll protect you" Altair said. His head began to hurt, but he would dare show it now. The girl had endured her share of pain and he would do all it took to help her from this pain, but could he really say that she was better off with him? Could he really stay true to his words? He truly wished to stick to those words.

Step by step he walked on towards his destination. Walking down the streets and into the building, Darrius smiled as he stood before the door before him. Closing his eyes Darrius twisted the knob and kicked the door open. To his delight somebody was actually inside "YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'VE ARRIVED!" Darrius yelled as he walked in an raised an eyebrow upon realizing just who was inside the room "and daaaaaaaaaaaaamn its all sexy in here. I guess my body is to thank for that" Darrius said happily as he walked up to his body. He was pleased to see his body in good shape, which made him feel a bit ashamed for not taking care of his new body. "Sooooooooo how are things? wanna work on a little experiment with me?!" Darrius said leaning his arm on Elliot's shoulder.

xxxxxxx"I'll protect you" Altair always seemed to know how to make things better. Harley too. They were awfully similar.

xxxxxxxShe wiped her eyes and sniffled. How long could he possibly keep to that? How could he protect her from herself? She was her own worst enemy. Much worse than Crestatia. No one could top the things they do to her, not even if she tried-- and no doubt she will. Altair's (well, Marcus's) strong thick hand rested firmly on her shoulder. Why did he try so hard to make her feel better all the time? Heidi hugged his waist, burying her face deep into his thigh. She didn't want him to go again, not ever. "...you won't leave again?" It was hard for her to voice her feelings, especially this one. She didn't want him to know how lonely she had become in his absence. She didn't want him to have to worry about her. She had become nothing but a burden on everyone she came in contact with lately.

xxxxxxxShe needed to do something about that. She couldn't let them always try to help or protect her. It wouldn't allow her to live long enough to help everyone else. Heidi continued to clutch Altair(Marcus)'s waist. She needed to do something important, before Crestatia got bored of her too. She had said everyone was useless and there was no one satisfying. Had she killed anyone yet for being useless? If Heidi always depended on others to get her out of situations, would she be viewed as useless as well?

Marcus had woken up earlier in the day. upon hearing noises and noticing that his vision was slightly blurred. Hearing the sounds of his own voice through another's ears was weird. Kind of like when he could hear his voice coming out of the speakers of his T.V. becuase of the microphone he was using to strategize with friends. Thinking of playing games in his dorm made him think of Theodore, and if he was still awake. He groaned and drifted back to sleep, this couch seemed much less cushiony then it had been when he first drifted off upon it. And he felt colder, as if his blanket had fallen off. Weird, but sleep seemed more important, he just seemed so tired, despite not doing anything rigorous yesterday. Also weirdly, his bruises felt like they'd been used more then he originally had intended. Whatever, sleep first, ask questions later, thought the fourteen year old as he let the darkness of Slumberland cloud his mind and eventually his consciousness.

He was out again and then he was back up. He groaned and checked the time with his phone. Ugh. It was nearly the afternoon. He shivered and pulled his jacket on tighter. Judging by the fact that these hands are not his own, he was still in Altair's body. He pushed himself off the...carpet?! Why the hell was he on the floor? He jolted himself awake. Why was he so far from the couch? Okay. This is freaky, too freaky. He didn't remember even going to sleep on the couch like he was previously thinking he did. Marcus's mind made Altair's body intake and exhale air at a much faster rate then normal. He gritted his teeth and nodded at the two conversing before heading to the bathroom and wincing a bit with each step, yep definitely felt like he'd rolled across the floor towards the door in his sleep. Which was...odd. To say the least. Okay Marc. No time for that bull. Check your phone, and resume with the normalacy. You can analyze freaky crap with Altair and the others later. He nodded at the foreign face in the mirror as he splashed himself once more in the face before toweling his face dry and trying to smile. He then whipped out his phone and stepped into the kitchen, his stomach rumbling as he texted Marina back. He was glad he could talk to her, and she was at least polite to him, unlike older people who were very ignorant or ignored the younger kids as if they were ranks. Marcus shook his head and began to type.

-Hey Marina. Glad you're alive enough to text. ...I didn't think that email was real, but these Bellhurst people seem to KNOW it's real. The body swap confirmed it for me..I guess. Anyway, we should meet up! It would be nice to see a familiar face. Be safe! I heard a snake get shot a few minutes ago!

xxxxxxxShe was ready to rip out the god forsaken bow from her hair as her family gathered in the sun room. The photographer wanted it in an area with plenty of natural light, but the room made her shiver in the winter time. The glass walls were deplorable when it came to retaining heat. Marina rubbed at her arms, careful to avoid the part in the sling. Her mother would not even allow her to put on a jacket or sweatshirt. It was inappropriate given that they were indoors. She rolled her eyes. This day was a nightmare. She only wished to go back to school (hopefully snake free) and make up the lost time with her clients.
xxxxxxxThe trip out of the hospital had been terrifying. She practically cried the entire time it took to get to the doors, but actual tear shed in public was inappropriate. Everything was inappropriate to her mother. Crying in public was not dignified in her mother's eyes. They had managed to evacuate the building rather quickly, and to that she was grateful. As far as she knew, the snake was still loose inside when they made their way out.
xxxxxxxHer phone went off in her lap and she checked it quickly while the crew finished setting up. A message from Marcus. That was surprising. She had not actually anticipated a response from him. Marina smiled as she tapped open the bubble to read his message.
xxxxxxxJust as she was hitting send, her mother ripped the phone out of her hand and pocket it. "We are busy now. Your phone can wait til later." Figures. Her family gathered around her on the sofa, Nathan included, and a reporter from the news paper began to fill the void with questions. They looked like the picture perfect family as always. They were whole, an even set of four, two and two, and on the surface, the ideal happy American family. Nathan wrapped his arm around her shoulders while her father stood behind the couch. Her mother sat beside to the left and rested one hand firmly on Marina's knee. It was a warning. Stay in line. The grasp on her knee would not have appeared menacing to the naked eye, but she fully understood what it meant.

Ah, this was no help. She even mocked him with who he was trapped with, which brought a frown to his covered face.

Before turning his full attention on the one in his body Elliot clicked send, placing his phone down on the desk afterwards. Though just as it touched the wooden surface Elliot was knocked off balance, jumping away from who he had assumed as Darrius. It had been his own body leaning on him but who knows where it's been now?

Complaints would have been made but the magic word had been spoken.

    "A-an experiment? Like what?"

Ben awoke to the sound of vibrations. He sat up on the the work bench and checked Olivia's phone. Only a single message from the day before. It must have been his phone. He looked over at the figure of Olivia in his own body. The computer screens in front of her cast a glow on her face and tinted the bloodstains purple. Her peaceful face showed that she was lost in sleep. He pondered on whether to wake her but decided against it. His body would need sufficient rest if they were to be switched back into their own bodies. Whenever that would be.
Ben surveyed the basement room. The floor was covered with scattered gears, screws, nuts and bolts. Several incandescent light bulbs hung from the low ceiling. A robotic bird perched itself on the back of Olivia's chair, its head darting back and forth around the room. Had Olivia created the bird in this room? Ben knew many of Olivia's skills, but an inventor as well? If anyone could be called a Renaissance woman, it would be her.
He checked the unread message on Olivia's phone. It was was from Marina, asking for a status update. He quickly typed out a short message to ensure that he and Olivia were safe.
Olivia and I are fine. Currently in Burnt Mansion on Bacchus Road. Only minor injuries for me. Don't know about Olivia.

xxxxxxxxxx It had been a very disturbed sleep that night, although she was heavily under due to the drugs. Her mind had been black and so had everything else - until it hadn't been.

Some time in the middle of the night, she couldn't determine when, there had been a strong press against her forehead, and then a strong, horrible voice echoed loudly, " WAKE UP." At that moment, her eyes shot open and a boy with dark skin and piercing silver eyes was face to face, nose to nose with her.

As she sat up in her hospital bed, she shuddered, remembering the last words of her supposed-nightmare . . .

    "I WILL BREAK YOU."

. . . She certainly did not like the sound of that. There had been other things, too, but they were recalled with little clarity - or so she wanted to think. Many things were flowing into her mind at the moment, and she began to think of her time spent at Trembling Mountain. That had been a nice little trip, a reprieve from the hell that she had lived through in that auditorium. Her room had been rather nice, hadn't it? She remembered that small coffee table with flowers on it, and the soft beds . . .

There had been two beds. She had a roommate, one she hadn't been expecting. A very pretty girl with rosy cheeks and strawberry-blonde hair.

Kallisti blinked her eyes and began to remember that person.

    A K A : x1 0 0 xD A Y S : xC H A I N xO F xM E M O R I E S

She looked shaken, and Kallisti took a step forward, " . . . M, are . . . Are you quite alright? " she asked her, slowly, not wanting to set her off or anything off, " You seem . . . stirred. " she observed, more calm, " Is everything alright . . . ? "

" Kall . . . " Kallisti raised a thin eyebrow when the dreaded name began to come out of mouth, but then " Quintus, was it? " and Kallisti sighed to herself, content that this wasn't incompetent. Although . . . This was a rather odd turn of events, a very radical change was happening here.

" . . . Yes, it is Quintus, thank you. " she said with a little gratitude. She had really yet to tell anyone why she didn't like her first name, and she doubted that she would ever tell anyone.

" I'm alright. I apologize for worrying you, if I did. " flashed a sort of look at Kallisti that didn't quite sit right with her, but she shrugged it off, " No, I was just taken by surprise. It is not in the norm to see ladies running in the hall as if they were being chased by their worst fears, though . . . " But she didn't finish and cleared her throat. She wasn't scared of , but she preferred not to make an enemy out of her if she didn't need to.

    M's

herself, just standing there, almost looking dumbfounded.

For just a moment, Kallisti decided to open her door, but then with more thought and a shrug of " It could not hurt. "

Kallisti frowned and adjusted her brown scarf, " M. " she said, " Are you alright? " It felt like deja vu, " You look . . . rather upset. "

" Hello, Quin." she said, her voice normal and then immediately turning into a wreck, " I'm fi - ne. "

What did want her to do, leave here there in her misery, not pity her?

but this was MM, the very bitchy, picky girl.

    " H - he left m - me - he - "

" He s - stood me up, he - he lef - left me alone! What do I do? What do I do? I - I can't, it hurts, Quin. "

    It was only and herself.

" M. " she said, calmly, and when there was no reply, " M. Breath. " she said, again, " Breath. It is time to get up. Give yourself small commands to start doing things again. Breath, M. Do not cry, everything will be alright. " she said, smiling a little.

And then she offered her hand, " Stand up, M, it is alright. "

She snapped to attention when spoke, " . . . Thank you. "

" You are welcome. " she replied, taking back her own hand, " I am only sorry you had to be seen, but I doubt anyone was paying attention. "

" I'll come to your concert, tomorrow. " said to her quietly, and Kallisti raised an eyebrow.

" Thanks again. " And with that, was out of her presence.

While Kallisti wasn't completely dumbfounded she was very confused as to what just happened. was a strange girl, indeed. " You are welcome. " she replied to the long-gone girl softly.

And that's when, from behind the curtains, stepped a much calmer looking Kallisti, her violin and bow in hand. Someone had to be her focal point . . . She saw , Anthony, Elizabeth, Xavier, Chase, Ashina, Aileen, Brian . . .

She made her way over to , smiling, " I am very glad that you could make it, M, "

" I hope you enjoyed yourself? What did you think? "

There had been the words she didn't hear . . .

"Quin, that was gorgeous. I really...You're really good," She murmured in a quiet voice.

    "To be honest, I..."

She gave a small wave towards Quin and turned to go.

Back to Kallisti turned . . . When she realized she missed what said, the girl was turning away, giving her a wave. " Dammit, " Kallisti inwardly cursed to herself - she missed what MA said, so rude of her! She chided herself for a moment before deciding that she wasn't letting the other girl go so easily, " MA, " she tried again, " I apologize, I missed what you said . . . "

    . . . She had already gone.

    A meeting . . .

" Why the hell don't you just off yourself MA? It's obvious you don't even want to live! Don't waste the rest of our days by persevering when you don't want it! "

" I believe that you should go calm down. You have no right to speak to anyone in such a manner, and I feel that your presence is no longer wanted here. "

" Those people are not my friends! And i never once said that i was the only one affected! I just think she should act a little more like she cares! MA here seems awfully thrilled about all of this! It's sick! I didn't even want to come here. To sit with you ****ing people Quintus! Oh, look at me! I'm Quin! I'm so great! I can play the violin. Everybody loves me! I talk like I'm from the 1800's. How's your mom Quin? News flash! You're not that great! "

Before anyone could say anything, MA was on the table. She smacked the beverages that were in her way out of it and crawled over to the other side of the booth. Her hand raised and without much of a warning, she slapped Temperance right across her cheek--hard. It wasn't in the way she had slapped Brian's hand away. It was meant to hurt. If she could kill with a slap, that would have been her intention.

Secretly, she had been pleased . . .

And it all had happened so fast, that night . . . One moment, they were reconciling, the next, they were running for their lives . . .

. . . and then with a frantic turn of her head, she saw MAD and let out a heavy sigh of relief - at least she was safe. Kallisti was very thankful for that . . .

" MAD, are you hurt anywhere? "

    "Are you okay?"

Kallisti almost wanted to laugh at the question, " I am . . . whole, in one piece, for the most part. "

    "It's getting late...But I can't go home."

" Why is that? " she asked, " Do . . . Do you need a place to stay? I have a spare room at my home, and I am sure my father would not mind a guest . . . "

"U-um...Yes, please, if you wouldn't mind, Kallisti...I need a place to stay." For just a moment, she could feel her face turn white hot - she didn't know if it was from rage or if it was from embarrassment, but no one called her Kallisti, only her father did these days - and there was a reason for that.

" You are free to take a shower and grab something to eat when we get there, and I will have a fresh change of clothing for you. I hope you do not mind. "

"I don't mind," she curled slightly against the door. "Thank you."

She did not dislike her. Not much at all. In fact, she was growing quite fond of her. Perhaps more fond than she should be - and in only such a short amount of time . . .

" Have a nice day, MAD, " Kallisti told her with a smile, " You may come find me at lunch, if you would like. "

She had been pleased that she wore her clothing.

Her eyes widened a little in surprise when she saw a familiar figure laying on the floor, near the back of the library and just a few feet away from the computers; MAD. The girl looked very uncomfortable, and so Kallisti bent down and observed her a little; she looked really peaceful when she was sleeping, but there was something wrong.

" MADE, wake up, " she said as softly as possible, " It is a little late. "

    "I'm sorry. I don't know what happened."

" You do not have to apologize, I merely thought you were sleeping in here. It seems almost hellish everywhere else. "

    " EHH, QU - QUINT - "

    "Q-Quin? Are you...Are you okay?"

" S - she followed after all . . . " Kallisti thought, tears welling up in her eyes. Well. Almost. " I am here, MADE, " she called out in a more measured tone, getting up from the ground, " It is alright, I am okay. Are you okay? "

" MADE, are you alright? " she asked, while it was dark around them, " Please forgive me, I just - I just had to leave the auditorium - I should have - have done it in a more subtle manner . . . " Dear god, what was she bumbling about, " Are you okay? "

" I'm fine . . . " MADE replied, and Kallisti stood up straighter, being put more at ease with her reply, " . . . Are you . . . Um. " she began, and Kallisti looked at her with curious eyes, " Well, I mean . . . uh. Are you . . . Are you okay? "

" Yes, I am alright . . . " she replied, slowly, " I just had a little scare in the auditorium. It was a most . . . unexpectedsurprise, but I am fine, now. " she continued, and then she gave a small smile in the dark, wondering if MADE could really see her face, " . . . Thank you, for asking, I mean. "

"I'll...I'll be back, Quin. There's something I want to check."

She nodded, sure of herself now. Without giving either of them the chance to follow, MADE strode off and disappeared in the darkness.

Indeed, it had been wondered where she was going . . .

" Excuse me again, Altair. " she told him, standing up, " I feel the need to check on Miss MADE. " Quickly, she began to walk down the hall, and when she felt she wasn't moving fast enough - for she had a bad feeling ( that feeling was right ) - she began at a run. It still wasn't fast enough for her - so she sprinted.

    What was she doing?

" WHY IS SHE OPENING THE DOOR?! "

    " MADEL! "

    " I have to stop her! "

Why was she even getting into this mess!?

    " MADEL! "

And MADEL wanted to go out into this!?

What on earth was the girl thinking?!

Without a second thought, Kallisti snatched MADEL away from the door so roughly that the two girls fell back and were now on the wet tile floor, the door once again closed. It was eerily silent all around them and she could only hear her harsh breathing and thumping heart.

    She was angry.

    Outraged.

She could not believe this girl that was now next to her.

They were already all set to die - DID SHE REALLY WANT TO GO SOONER? DID KALLISTI REALLY HAVE TO ADMIT THAT THE PEACOCK TEMPERANCE WAS RIGHT? "

Before she knew it, she was actually yelling these words at Madeline, and she couldn't stop herself, " I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU, MADEL, WHAT WERE YOU DOING? " she continued on, her voice giving way and echoing through the dark halls, " DO YOU REALLY WANT TO DIE SO MUCH THAT - that . . . " Her voice began to crack, " I c - cannot believe you would just . . . g - go out - there - i - in that horrid weather, and - you were g - going - to j - just l - leave me, just like - th - that . . . "

What was she doing? Why was she crying?

"Quin?" Her voice was small and shaky. Her cheeks burned and she turned away with a sniffle. "Aah..."

She was alive, and that was what mattered . . .
Discussions, debates, voting . . . The victim and the killer.

    What an awful night.
Kallisti sniffed, she could feel her eyes stinging slightly as she leaned on the railing of the balcony. When she turned around, that was when she heard the doorknob jiggle, and then have it open. She raised her eyebrows - who was it? " . . . Hello?" she called out, making her way towards the wall. Her blue eyes peered towards the door opening and then she saw someone she definitely wasn't expecting ( but had been slightly hoping to see ).

    " . . . MADELI. " she breathed, going around back to the table, and near the other girl, " This is . . . your room, as well . . . ? "

Kallisti wasn't . . . disappointed that MADELI was here, in front of here, but she was nervous.

She felt a little strongly for her, not necessarily friendship, though they might be close to something of the sort, but rather . . . She didn't want to admit it.

" Aah, Quin . . . " And her attention turned to the other, who was pale and nervous-looking, " I'm sorry. The man gave me the key for this room . . . Could have been a mistake. I can request another room, if you want. " she finished a very small voice.

" N - No . . . " she replied, a little too quickly. " It is . . . It is fine. Unless you would like to change rooms, I do not mind you s - staying in this one. " she admitted, a slight, rosy tint coming to her cheeks, " I was just going to . . . explore the rest of the hotel, I have nothing much to do . . .Th - There are two beds after all, and . . . "

Kallisti didn't know what to do - she was almost scared by this, " Wh - What will you do . . . ? "

" I would like to go down to the hot springs eventually . . . When it gets darker. Until then . . . " Kallisti found herself leaning forward ever so slightly, almost anticipating the rest of what MADELI was going to say.

" I have some stuff to do, I'm sorry. " Oh . . . Her heart sank a little, " But we should meet at the hot springs soon! "

    " I'm . . . sorry, Quintus. Please stay safe, though. Don't die. "

" You will do well to do the same. " she replied, returning the smile and feeling much more calm. She could almost laugh at that last bit, she thought to herself, as MADELI left the room. " I will be waiting. "
Honestly, yes, she was disappointed that MADELI hadn't shown up. Was she really so . . . unreliable? Kallisti frowned. That time, when she had gotten that message on her phone . . . It must have been something important.

At the end of the night, it had only been Kallisti.

She wanted MADELI to show up . . .

With a deep, longing sigh, Kallisti stepped out of the bath and went to the locker room to dress herself.

Once she reached the third floor, she slowly walked down the hallway and then into her room, closing the door quietly behind her. she placed her stuff on a chair and walked to the beds, sitting on the edge and leaning forward.

    She wondered where MADELI was.

Kallisti snapped to a standing position abruptly, " Looks like I just missed you . . . " MADELIN told her, making her way to the second bed and sitting down, " I'm . . . really sorry, Quintus. "

" It is . . . okay, do not worry about it. " she finally said, leaning back, " I should have . . . I should have waited, just a little while longer. It is late . . . would you like to go to sleep . . . ? "

Perhaps tomorrow, they could try again . . .

    MADELIN nodded slowly.

She could not have seen what was coming next . . .

" Hey Quin . . . Can I have your number? " came the other girl's small voice, and Kallisti could feel her face warming up, " Y - Yes, you may. "

wondered why MADELIN had asked so suddenly

    phone vibrated.

    again.

    and again.
    What had she been thinking?
What had she been working at?
    She had been abandoning things?
She had finally become fed up?
She truly wanted nothing to do with this.
    I miss you . . .
    I miss you, so much . . .

    Why did you leave me?
That next day, there had been clueless waiting . . .

Kallisti sat up in her bed, early in the morning, just barely recalling the events of last night.

bed was empty, she raised an eyebrow, wondering where her roommate had gone

Finally fully recalling last nights happening, Kallisti smiled.

    felt very happy

both of them, being very happy.

Once downstairs, Kallisti found that there were numerous people surrounding the entryways to the bath

    women's side.

whether or not she should check it out

turning away from the scene, still wondering what might be going on,

    completely unaware that outside,

ambulances and police and a coroner; body bags and stretchers were the last things on her mind.

Hmm, maybe MADELIN would come, soon.
For a while now, Kallisti had sat a the table

Every five minutes she would check her phone

being silly - just because those things had happened last night, they didn't mean that MADELIN would be talking to her constantly.

There was one thing, however, that continued to trouble her mind; the e-mail.

    " NO ROMANCE ",

    text message . . .

MADELIN hadn't said her feelings out loud

What did that mean for her? She had returned those feelings, but nothing had happened to her.

. . . Did this mean MADELIN was well, too?

Over and over again, it felt like she was mishearing the crowd

    two distinct names coming . . .

    " MADELINE Moore "

    "Temperance Spike "

But Kallisti couldn't move, she could only stare at the baths' entrance

    policemen and paramedics

breaths wouldn't come from her mouth, they wouldn't fill up her lungs, and her chest started to feel as if it were constricting

impossible it felt to breath right now.

impossibly fast she put this all together.

This was horrible. Perhaps she was acting this way for nothing.

And then she saw the back of an official's jacket. In bold, white letters, it read " C O R O N E R ".

    You are gone . . .

She collapsed to the ground, her body clattering against the tile.
You are gone . . . You left me.

Your name . . . it is MADELINE . . . MADELINE Moore. You fell in love with me? Is it my fault? MADELINE. . . Why did I forget you? MADELINE. . . Have I killed you?

Madeline . . . You are dead now.
A drowning human, she had been, and as if she had just broke the surface for precious oxygen to circulate through her body, through her lungs, she gasped, grasped at her heart, and leaned forward with waterfalls of tears pouring from her eyes.

    Madeline, Madeline . . .

Madeline, how could she have forgotten Madeline? How awful, terrible.

    She cried more.

    Her heart hurt.

    She was hurting.

The heart monitor was speeding to dangerous levels, soon someone would becoming to check on her. They might even be rushing to her as she thought. But she didn't care. That girl. That moody, defensive, delicate, shielded, masked, shy, terrible, wonderful, beautiful girl. She was dead. Gone. How does one grasp that concept? Removed from the world forever. Was that even possible? No, it could not be . . . Of all of the six billion people on the planet, she was no longer one of them?

    More crying.

    It hurt, so terribly bad.

A discovery was made, then and there; she had suppressed these memories - no . . . Kal had suppressed these memories, without her permission. Did he think this was better for her? Did he know who he was up against? A demoness. That had not been a nightmare last night.

    She continued to cry.

Kal had suppressed those memories in hopes of her not having to deal with them. A sort of defense mechanism.

The face of that boy with her voice. He had woken her up. She had seen his golden eyes, and recognized them. That sit in the hallway.

    Altair.

    More crying . . .

Madeline, the girl. Slowly, or maybe not so much, Kallisti had grown feelings for her, ones that she didn't recognize or even want to recognize, considering the circumstances. She could not love Madeline, they're was no way for them to be happy together, so long as that demon ran the show.

Madeline had, did make her happy. She had been happy with Madeline. There had never been a dull time around her. It was always an adventure, always something new . . .

Something new . . . She would be lying if she said she hadn't been surprised by the confession. She didn't really have time to think about it properly, though. Only a little had she. Text, not voice . . . That was also unsafe. Did she know that? She must have. Maybe.

Her eyes were beginning to hurt, and she couldn't keep them open properly. Less tears, now.

Perhaps she had physically been unable to say it. Not just because of this game, but because she was nervous. Nervous of what? Kallisti clicked her tongue. She was no longer sad. She missed Madeline. It was a sort of yearning sad, not so much anymore crying - not that she had done much crying since her death.

How had she died? Kallisti shook her head. Probably shouldn't think about that.

    No romance.

She thought Madeline wanted to win this game, with her assertive and aggressive behavior. She thought she wanted to survive. And for a little while, Kallisti believed she would.

    Until she didn't.

Kallisti had killed her. Terrible, isn't it? Yes, she had been so caring and nice to Madeline that it had killed her. Strange. Her heart hurt. Feelings for her had been present, no doubt, but Kallisti certainly wouldn't have risked her life, her chance at winning this game merely for the sake of loving. Loving. A waste it was. Humans were awful. Madeline had been not so different from the rest of them, but that was before. Before Kallisti cared.

Temperance. Madeline was a lot like her, and Kallisti hated Temperance. What had made them so different? Not that it mattered. They were both dead. She didn't know why Temperance died, but Madeline. No romance. Had she not cared? Careless, foolish. Completely idiotic. Kallisti replied happily.

Just because she wasn't scared of death, did not mean that she was ready to die. Crestatia could do whatever the hell she wanted, she could kill her whenever, but Kallisti would live this out until she was ready to die. Suicide - hah. Romance? Fuck that. She had already seen the out come of that.

Madeline had been an idiot. A beautiful idiot. Kallisti hadn't loved her, not yet. Would she have been allowed to live, Kallisti would have died sooner, rather than later. If she looked at it from that angle, Madeline had saved her. Ironic. Kallisti didn't need saving, yet she had been, and now that the deed was done, Kallisti didn't think she regretted it at all.

But it still hurt so badly.

    So what to do, now?

She had killed three people in her life. One of them was her biggest regret. Another had to be done. The last saved her.

" Are you alright? " asked a doctor, who had caught her attention. Her heart monitor had slowed radically. Kallisti nodded.

Perhaps she was a little worse for the wear, but she felt better than alright. She was alive right now. Madeline was not - and just because she was gone now, that didn't necessarily mean she would never see her again. Perhaps Madeline was waiting for her, in whatever afterlife existed for them after this game. She could not be sad about Madeline, not anymore.

    She was.

It was not good, but there was no use in the feeling. Kallisti felt she had a limited of time left to live. She would die, soon, perhaps. She could not win this game; she had never thought she could. Crestatia hated her. Useful. Why? She didn't remember doing anything out of line. Because Kal had repressed her memories? Kallisti laughed silently. That was certainly not her fault. How silly Crestatia was.

She wondered when she would return to her normal body. " If you do not like me so much, perhaps you will never return me. " she thought, knowing that Crestatia could probably hear her, " What is it you want, Crestatia, hmm? My life? You already have it. To see me tortured? We shall see how that goes for you. What do you want me to do? How important am I to this game, Crestatia? " Perhaps she wanted to see Kallisti kill herself - but that was against the rules, no? She wanted Kallisti to break rules so that she may punish her more severely - speculation, of course, but it wasn't doubtful.

    . . . Madeline . . . I miss you . . .

    Christmas was soon, wasn't it?

    "Dear Miss Lein,
    I am well.
I was unable to follow the rest of yourselves because of the presence of the police.
    I suppose, in time,
I shall tell you of my qualms with them.
However, what is of more importance is your personal well being.
    "

Olivia sighed gently. The only sound in the cold room was the light tapping of fingers upon her phone.

"I assure you that it is in my guilt that I led to the harm that you face.
That is a positively terrible first impression. Like a falsetto hitting the wrong note.
I am ... filled with much regret.
Please tell me any outstanding injuries you may have.
I have, at my disposal, some tools that may provide temporary relief to your pain.
    -- Olivia"

    Switch.

    "Dear Miss Sario,
We are still in our bodies, Ben dearest and myself.
I hope you are well. Are you out of the hospital yet?
I understand you are not particularly fond of my company from time to time.
I hope we may amend that over tea.
After all, we are in the same boat."

    Olivia's hands shook, very briefly.
She quickly gazed at the large gash marks upon the walls. The ruined, dusty couch she sat on upstairs seemed to suck her deeper and deeper into a black hole.

"If you request of me to require anything, please ask.
After all, I too have my connections.
    - - Olivia"

    Switch.

    "Dear Mr. Nunn,
    Greetings.
It was good of you to not take up my prior invitation on the helicopter.
If possible, may you tell me an update on the status of snakes in the Academy?
    Thank you.
    - - Olivia"

She paused, resting her small phone close to her large knees.

    There was one more text.
Oh. She had not checked the recipient.

    Click.

    ...

Oh! Oh it was him! He-- he was okay!
    A--ack.
What are you doing, Olivia, did your heart just mispalpitate? Keep calm. Reply slowly.

    "Malchik,
You're a right fool and in all honesty I could care less about your well being but for the sake of others I am glad you are relatively alright.
I am lonely and cold in this prison of memories that traps our pasts that I was foolish enough to return to.
Please do not come because being here is enough of a toll on my mind simply having to get the machinery ready. Hopefully the move may come soon.
Your presence would simply make my senses less sensical, as they always do.
You already arouse them enough with your terrible taste in beautiful things, mmm?"

    Olivia giggled sinisterly. Playtiiiiiiime.

"Are you out of your body yet? I am still trapped in Ben's shell. Don't be sorry you can't be inside my wonderful body, philistine. Too good for you of course!
    Keep me company.
We must have the first part of our appointment over this text.
    - - Ollie"

    Ahaha.
How sweet it felt to toy with Mr. Anderson. Only justifiable with him. Foolish young man. He was making progress. Olivia was so very proud. Her mood felt a bit lighter.

    Only a bit.
She hoped he would not come here after her. What a buffoon. Seeing this again? Any-- any reminiscent tune on the Roncesvalles Case? Him?

    No.
    She would not allow that.
Olivia stood up, she was shaking a bit. Why was she shaking? Stay calm, Olivia.
    Stay. Stay calm.

Olivia walked to the former kitchen of the burnt out corpse of a manor. Stay calm, Olivia. Why are you trembling. There is no need to tremble among this sea of scars and bloodstains forgotten ...

    Of course not.
You were a strong girl now. You were a lady.
    Olivia clenched her fist.
In the old kitchen, scarred with black, puffy burns and cracked granite counter tops, the familiar photograph sat in its haughty frame, burnt, scarred, ripped in pieces. Drops of blood were splattered by its glass. She walked over to the dirty, nasty, mocking thing. An abomination. Uncivilized creature. Dastardly ghoul that dashed hopes away.

Right. Right. Keep mocking. Do as you wish.
Olivia violently ripped the photograph and frame from the wall. It came away as if done many times before, before being replaced.
The Roncesvalles Family. What a wonderful family. Sweet, sweet family. May such a family shatter to pieces so quickly?

May such a family shatter to pieces so quickly.

Like everything in this rancid falsetto corpse of a dead home.

Olivia raised her hand to throw the photograph to the floor. One inch. One move would lead her to do so. Violently. Break it to pieces like it had done to her heart.

    Slip.
    She let it drop.
Her hand was held up in the air, unmoving, her heavy fingers trembling slightly in the cold air.
The photograph would survive a drop, of course. It fell to the ground with a sharp cracking noise, but did not shatter. It did not split. It stayed intact. Just like her memories of the entire debacle.

The winds chimed their soft, airy voices through the corpse-house. Olivia breathed in and kept her face solemn, before slowly moving back to the main room. Broken glass crackled beneath her feet, she gently walked back down into the basement.

Ben was already set and awake. He had woken up some time before her, but Olivia needed to go upstairs for a moment to settle things and breathe.

"I have returned," She said gracefully. "Ben dear, are you ready to undergo your temporary fixations? Please-- please tell me where your injuries lie on my precious body."

Did she slip for a moment? She covered up any doubt with a well placed giggle.

"Be as detailed as possible. It is my body, after all." Olivia winked coyly.

Altair's eyes widened as the girl sudden grasped his waist and began to cry once more. Slowly glancing down at the girl, Altair softly smiled as he raised his hand and pet the girl's hair like he usually did "I already told you didn't I? I will always be there for you, I promise....but Heidi you have to make me a promise. Promise me that whenever you have a problem, no matter how hard it is to do so...please tell me so I can try to help you...alright?" Altair said with a smile.

Darrius's smile widened upon noticing his body suddenly gain interest. "Now this little experiment is a simple one, one where we prove a little theory of mine or not" Darrius said as he crossed his arms and smirked "As you can see we both have switched body all too magically. If my sources are to believed then this is the work of a mere demoness" Darrius said shaking his head "of course this all sound like mumbo jumbo, but it doesn't hurt to try and and test this out" Darrius said opening his eyes and spread out his arms "Let us try to summon forth the demoness! She needs a catalyst and one of us shall become it! The other shall speak to her themself!" Darrius said.

Cristina woke up to a nurse bringing in a tray of breakfast for her. The girl sat up adjusting the position of her pillows so that she could sit in a more comfortable position. The food wasn't exactly appealing, but she was hungry, so she did not complain. Before the nurse left the room, however, Cristina decided to ask about Quin. "Umm...About a friend of mine...Cristina...is she here? Is she alright?" she asked.

"Yes, her room isn't too far from here. Would you like me to take you to see her after your breakfast?" the nurse offered. She needed to thank Quin for saving he-

"Do you want me to take you to see your parents after their surgery?"

NO! Cristina shook her head and lied, "No...It's okay, that's all I wanted to know. Thank you." The nurse raised her right eyebrow at first, but then smiled and left the room. Cristina searched the area around her bed to see if she could find the bag with her cell phone. It was left at the foot of the foot of the bed, so Cristina reached down and grabbed it, pulling out her phone. She dropped the bag back down on the floor.

    She decided to text Quin.

With that done, she put her phone in her lap and decided to start eating her breakfast.

Before Darrius replied his phone rang from the table, prompting Elliot to turn and pick it up once more. Olivia had replied again.

Of all places... Why had she gone there? He began a reply, asking this very thing, when another message popped up and interrupted his typing. One from Marina, telling him those who were victims in the crash. Most were names he was unfamiliar with, but some, some...

He resumed his message to Olivia.

    Stupid girl.

If it were not for the presence of the current owner of Elliot's body and - what was that? A suggestion to summon the demon supposedly behind this? - he would head out right now despite her telling him not to go there.

He eyed Darrius before looking back down at his phone, using it for Google as he searched up methods of summoning. Might as well try this so it may prove the existence or nonexistence of this C demoness.

"Many sources say that it's as e-easy as having an open invitation but warn that y-you must have a specific goal in mind for summoning a demon and may have to pay a price for it. A-also says you should be respectful..."

He felt silly. This was silly. Olivia was hurt and he was thinking about summoning something that, if real, may try to kill him on the spot for doing so. He just had to wonder for what reason Darrius wished to summon her.

The humming of a ceiling fan starting up and the constant beeping of a heart monitor is what initially woke him; but it was the uncomfortable sleeping position that made him open his eyes. His entire body was ridiculously stiff. He found the most comfort in sleeping on his side and that was not an option. His leg was obviously broken, and maybe his neck and he most likely sprained or broke his wrist. He hadn't bothered asking Valerie what was wrong with him. His nose crinkled. Disappointment. He hadn't managed to get her number. What a failure he was.

His eyes glazed over the fan and cast themselves to his right. Yes. No mistaking it. He was at Antilum Labs. His lungs stretched and his ribs ached as he took a shaky breath. From his peripheral he could see the gleam of the observation glass. Behind it, his father taking a sip of coffee and gazing down at some documents. Theodore's perpetual frown turned into scowled.

At least stand by my bedside like a normal parent.

The static pop of the intercom hitched once before the distorted voice of his father came through.

Had I been standing there as you awakened, I would have only disturbed you. The salt-and-pepper haired man smiled and his face wrinkled. When had he gotten so old? ...This was not an ordinary accident...Not at all.

The beeping coming from the heart monitor sped up a bit and Theodore swallowed, listening to the sound of his father getting up from the chair and entering the examination room.

    Are you well, James?

It was small talk so he didn't answer. The bastard was fiddling around with the buttons on a black and blue touch screen remote control. As the hospital bed lifted and the seat folded to bring Theodore upright, he felt his right eye involuntarily twitch. A dull pain pulsed through his broken leg and anger flared up inside of him ... if only for a moment. The opening of a glass vile caught his attention and a sweet, cotton-candy like aroma wafted through the room. He already knew what it was by the time his father's hand appeared in front of his face and the vile was forced against his lips.

    Drink it.

The sweet smell did not match the taste. It burned. It was sour and citric like a sort of lemon extract, and it was painful going down. His lips, tongue and then throat were on fire. It felt as though a flaming torch was being dragged down to his stomach. His body shook and his tears pricked at his eyes. He would not cry.

When the vile was empty, he reached his arms up and tore the brace away from his neck, tearing through the bandages around his wrist. His fingernails clawed uselessly against the cast that wrapped around his leg. Failing, he reluctantly turned his gaze to his father. The scientist smiled and turned around. His black shoes clicked against the stainless white floor as he left and returned with a small power saw.

Once the cast was removed, Theodore dangled his legs off of the side of the bed and stretched. He wasted no more time touching his toes to the cold floor after. He was wearing nothing but a hospital gown.

    Is Elliot here?

    Not today.

Good. Before I go...Your snakes are still loose. This is all your fault.

Pity. I do hope to get them all gathered before sunset. They are apart of a grand experiment that could change everything. They are...special creatures. Would you like to see?

    ❝...I am not interested.

It was a bit of a lie. He was very curious...but he promised long ago that he would not get caught up in these schemes. So, instead, he left the room. As he entered the long, dark hallway, he could hear his father, Dr. Timothy, warn him of the side effects. Any light that existed shimmered off of the sleek, chrome surfaces and light gray walls.

Antilum was...humongous, to say the least. Tall. Modern. Sleek. Beautiful, if you looked at it from a certain perspective. There were ten floors in the main building available to the public and five different sectors. A, B , C, D, an E. Each sector was closed off by high security which allowed access to a bridge which then branched off into another building (that corresponded with the appropriate letter). There was no way that Theodore knew of to enter or exit any of the separate branches without passing through the main building's security.

He was on Floor Twelve of Sector C. This is where human experimentation and observation was done. He was quite used to these dark walls and had no problem maneuvering through the long, maze-like hallways and to the elevator. It was quiet, with the exception of a crackling Nel Blu Dipinto di Blu coming from the circle-shaped speakers embedded upon the high ceilings.

The song bounced off of the walls and repeated like usual when it finished. Theodore knew all of the words and tapped his foot to the tempo as the elevator he had boarded descended down to Floor Eleven--where his bedroom would be.

Once no bite marks were found the doctor and nurses ran out of the room to handle the snake problem, closing the door behind them. It muffled the sounds but she could still hear rushed footsteps and shouting.

However long later and things finally calmed down, signaling to her that they had either caught it or the chase had moved elsewhere. And at this point she had enough feeling to sit up and look around.

Oh, so she was back in her own body. So that explains not remembering what happened to get her here. But she had hoped that Aileen would have taken better care of her body. Or could this not be helped?

Looking back down at the button pressed earlier Daniel realized it was the call nurse one and it was used once more. This time a female nurse entered, asking what she could do for her.

    "How did I get here?"

The nurse looked worried but remained smiling. "The helicopter crashed. Remember?"

"Oh, right..." she replied, knowing they'd end up keeping her here longer to check for brain damage now. Oh well, at least she could have a few free meals now. Speaking of...she then asked for jello and water, causing the nurse to leave before returning with just that.

After that she hurried out of there, probably busy securing the floor still. Daniel would feel bad about taking her away from her duties and making sure everyone else was safe but she hardly cared enough to.

Sitting up was becoming difficult so the bed was adjusted to assist her to keep an upright position while she drank. And, oh, it was strawberry jello by the looks of it. It's been so long since she had any and it used to be her favorite so she was rather looking forward to eating it. But before she could even touch it...

    "So it is true."

The door was closing before Daniel even noticed it had opened. And in front of it stood a dark, short haired man who spoke with a Russian accent. He was...big and covered in muscles. Definitely an underling, most likely sent as a spook. There was even the shadow of someone else at the door, waiting outside.

"A Volkov has been hurt. It was tragic to hear, and course we come to help a friend. But the bills are all paid already by a Sario. A powerful man whose daughter is friend, no?"

Daniel took a deep breath to steady herself before replying. And as much as she loathed it she could not hide her accent here, as many may consider it an insult to natives. "It was just a pity payment, we aren't friends. I barley know her." She didn't know her at all, though who would believe that? No one, not without knowing the body swapping event at least.

The man laughed, shaking his head. "How unfortunate, 'cause you see, knowing 'er would be very beneficial for our friends. It could even say...make us forget your father's debts and wounds he cause his brother."

"He can deal with his own issues. As far as I care we are not related."

"There should always be respect for family. And besides, he is not very healthy at the moment. Not smart or young enough for this either," he said, picking up the jello cup and tipping it forward, seemingly using the gesture to replace a tip of a hat. "Be safe young one. We wouldn't want you to get into anymore accidents."

Without even realizing it Daniel had started to hold her breath before he spoke that last sentence, releasing it once the men were gone.

Now, with no one watching, she began to shake. The cause was a mixture of fear and anger, the two emotions colliding to the point where an explosion just may happen.

Darrius was so enthralled to learn that the boy before him was willing to actually go through with this...well technically he never actually said he would, but nonetheless he did not hear a word of protest and that was good enough for him. He sort of felt a tinge of excitement and really wished for this to work. The price part that Elliot spoke of made Darrius wary, but Darrius would merely have to bargain with the deity. Closing his eyes Darrius raised his hand and immediately pointed at Elliot "GREAT DEMONESS C!, I INVITE YOU HERE TO SPEAK WITH ME! I OFFER THE BODY THAT FORMALLY BELONGED TO ME SO THAT WE MAY CONVERSE! PLEASE HUMBLE MY REQUEST!" Darrius yelled out very dramatically. Usually they did this sort of thing in the movies so Darrius figured why not do it now.
