[ LEVEL TWENTY - BGM20 - STATUS: ??? - UPDATE ]

There was a darkness so steep that no matter how much one were to climb they would never be able to escape it. In fact the more they tried the further they would fall. It consumed all it touched, devouring them whole. What's worse was that it was spreading, covering the lands at amazing speed. At this rate his kingdom would surely fall.

"Sire, what do you plan on doing?"

The one to ask was his loyal right hand man Sir Plume. Without Sir Plume's input the kind would have not made it this far. However Anthony has noticed that of late his plans were slipping and sometimes he would disappear altogether, like he was becoming a ghost.

"Sire?"

From the tower it was easy to see the shadow growing on the horizon as it drew ever so close. Already had it claimed the lands of his former enemies whom he now felt pity for. And even some friends were gone.

"Are you frightened?"

This was a new voice as the owner of the first had vanished. The new speaker appeared to be composed of the same darkness the looming shadow and was just as fearful.

"Don't be, for you know I am always here for you. I will protect you and stop any who desire to hurt you. No one shall ever come between you and whatever it may be that you long for."

Slowly this person faded too and soon the darkness was upon him, swallowing the castle. And yet he remained whole, floating in a never-ending abyss. Yet despite how terrifying it had seemed it felt comforting, like something he'd always known...

How easy would it be to let it take him and simply drift away...

But alas a pain overtook him as a blinding light came into view, forcing the king back into the unknown.

Eyelids slowly opened to reveal a white ceiling looming above. And behind them were the mismatch colored eyes of Anthony Evans that now looked around the room. It was so foreign, as if he were someplace he did not belong.

Did he belong here?

The question was a puzzling one, one that could not be answered in just the five minutes given before the boy sat up and began dressing for the day, left the room for some breakfast and returned to blog. How...odd everything he did felt. Was he still dreaming? For it felt like a dream. None of this felt real, as if he was walking through some thick fog that weighed his bones down.

Maybe he had woken up too early and the effects of sleep lingered...

Breaking this train of thought was a series of beeps drawing his attention to his pocket, which held the ever present red flip phone he had recently acquired. Apparently had woken up too early as his alarm set for seven o'clock was only just going off. How strange, for he slept in more than anything.

Oh, there seemed to be a message as well. From his aunt.

How strange. What was hard? Why was he going to be staying over there? Were...these tears?

None of it made any sense. Everything was fine and everyone he knew had to of been alive and well so why did it feel like so many people were missing?

It hurts. It hurts so much.

While clenching his chest the boy nearly toppled over as the fog grew heavier and heavier. He tried crying out for help but only choked sobs came at first. When words finally could form he tried calling out for his mom but she did not come.

Wasn't she a bad person? He hadn't really given it much thought but he was told that whenever he spoke of her. Still, despite her wrong doings and judgement she gave him care for fifteen years and had a softer side some would have never seen. A side that Anthony worked so hard to receive praise from and make smile and was waiting for to come back.

But it wasn't coming back, was it? She will never been seen or heard again. The same was true with his dad, Abby, Temperance, John and other victims of this twisted game. But no...it wasn't the game that took their lives...it was his sister...who said she did it for him.

Because of him they were dead and never coming back.

Wasn't this room on the third floor? Was three stories enough to kill? It didn't seem like it but already had the boy moved over to the window and began looking down while he thought about it. Maybe there were more floors, enough to do the job...

"You can't do that baby brother. I won't let you hurt yourself."

"Shut up!"

The voice silenced itself at his command but another one soon rang in his head.

"We still need a hero."

Sniffling and wiping away his tears the boy moved from the window. It was too early for this, wasn't it? That didn't mean the urge went away, no by all means did he want to run and jump out of that window. But for now...he wouldn't.

Taking deep breaths he went to calm himself, pacing across the carpeted floor with unease. It was against the rules, wasn't it? No suicide. Breaking it could have resulted in hurting the others which he's done enough of so no matter how strong the urge it couldn't happen. The hundred days wouldn't last forever either so he could make it. He had to.

Collapsing back into his bed Anthony buried himself in the sheets once more, unsure what to do next.

The first thing Matt became aware of was the throbbing pain in his head then of the light filtering through his closed eyes. Murmuring quietly to himself, he slowly opened his eyes, allowing them to adjust to the light. Hmm?? This wasn't his new room nor was it his room at home, where was he? The last thing he remembered was introducing himself to his new room mate and that was in the morning, he didn't recall going to bed. So what happened? Propping himself up, cringing a little from the pain in his head, he looked around. It seemed to be like a hospital? No, more like a medical bay or infirmary, he might still be at Brookridge. He'd got hurt? Well that would agree with the pain in his head.

Then he became aware of the figure on the chair to the side of him, resting their head on his bed, fast asleep. Zoey. How long had she been there if she'd fallen asleep? How long had he been out for? He didn't know, maybe she could answer his questions but he had no intentions of waking her up, she seemed so peaceful. How bad had he been for her to stay by his bedside? She cared about him, the feeling he got from knowing that made him happy to be alive. She was such a good friend and one he didn't ever want to lose. He hoped he hadn't caused her too much worry though in a way he was disappointed he couldn't have seen her reaction when she found out that he'd been sent here. He still wasn't certain what had happened.

It appeared to be early morning, which would explain why it was so quiet and Zoey was still asleep. She actually was really pretty, he might have a tendency to go over the top with the compliments but the fact was she was pretty and she had a smile to die for. He was never sure if she actually believed him or not when he complimented her, she tended to just laugh, which he quite liked. He just sat and watcher for a bit, she was so at peace and he just wanted to protect that and not let anything ruin it. He didn't feel like doing anything that bad for when she woke up however he did decide to pretend he was asleep so she wouldn't know he'd woken up when she came round. He had to have a little fun with this and couldn't wait to see her reaction.

{Day: 20 1/3 Tumblr Wearing!! Wig}

xxxxxMarina walked down the city street, cheeks red and puffy. It was bitter cold outside and looked like it might snow soon. She woke early and decided the sooner she went to visit Dylan the better. He would most likely be asleep, since he had probably only got in a few short hours ago. Marina had sent him a text and canceled her appointments for the day. She hated canceling on people, but it was a must. If Dylan's name was on the list too, then he was just as much at risk-- and probably clueless. If it came via email, he probably hadn't even seen it yet-- that technilogically illerate *******. She smirked before pulling the key out of her purse and inserting it into the lock. He should really change his locks. If it was this easy for her to swipe his key, then imagine how many others could do it.

xxxxxShe quietly entered the dark apartment and made her way to the small bedroom. The whole place was small, in actuality, but that didn't change the fact that his bedroom was still the smallest she had ever seen. at home, her room was twice the size of her dorm. Politicians daughter. Staying at school year-round meant the media received less Marina Sario related scandals. It was bad for elections. She was bad for elections. Sighing, she slipped off her heels and took a seat in a chair near the bed. Watching, waiting. Any other day she would crawl in, but she really didn't want to wake him. There was plenty of time. She could wait for him to wake up naturally. Pulling out her phone, she stared at the bright screen in the dark. The hood of her dress rested atop her head, and her long brown hair hung loosely down her back and around her shoulders.

xxxxxIt was early. Too early. Heidi had already showered, gotten dressed, successfully managed to find the dining hall for the first time, and was now curled up in a ball on the bed trying to better understand her new phone. There was still no word from Altair and she was beginning to get worried. On top of that, she had been having some weird conversation with Anthony on tumblr the night before. She had managed to figure out how to download apps and missed looking at all the fun horror movie images. It was something she hadn't done since she was sent to the hospital.

xxxxxThere wasn't much to do in the prison that was her bedroom, but read mystery novels, watch horror flicks, and stare at the computer. Unfortunately, no one ever talked to her on the computer until now. Nobody knew her. She had been like a ghost at school, aside from the few times she had breakdowns. Everyone knew those. Everyone knew she was the freaky crazy girl that had to be chaperoned to all her classes. But it was fun deary. Just think about all those wonderful things we did to the PA's. It wasn't fun. I hated it. Oh come now. No. It wasn't. Her arms remained snuggly around her knees and the phone was held within inches of her face. Heidi had been unable to tell if the mass in the other bed was just pillows again, or Altair's roommate Tyler, so she did her best to stay quiet. It was difficult though, with their need to grow louder.

xxxxxToo long had it been since she last took any sort of medication. How much longer could she fight it? They already gained control once. She didn't regain dominance, they gave it back to her-- to prove they were the ones truly in control. They could give and they could take. She could do nothing but fend them off for as long as possible.

xxxxxHer eyes drifted downwards to the decalled phrase on her black sweater. I have issues. Was the old man trying to be funny? She didn't see the humor in it. Accurate, but not funny. Her gaze moved back to the phone. What was wrong with Anthony? Where was Altair? She didn't even get to talk to Harley yesterday. He had been too busy. And, she ditched Casey. He was nice too. Why was everyone so nice to her? They don't understand, deary. None of them know except your prescious Harley, and even he doesn't understand. You aren't someone to be treated kindly too. You are someone to be feared. We are someone to be feared. They were right, like most times. When would everyone realize she wasn't safe?

The mass in the bed indeed was not pillows, but actually Tyler. The mass proceeded to move awkwardly before sitting upright to reveal the boy in front of Heidi. ...With sleepy eyes, he yawned, "Morning Heidi," to the girl having noticed her there. ...Besides being sleepy, he could tell though that something seemed to be bugging the girl. "Hey. You alright?" Of course he realised that being a complete stranger to her, that might make his question awkward, "Um. I mean, I know you don't know me, so if you don't wanna talk it's fine. But I'm here if you feel like it." he finished his offer.

Zoey's eyes slowly opened as the sunlight hit her face. ...Where was she again, and why she sitting like this? Oh... yeah. Matt.
She sat up slowly, looking at the unconscious form in front of her. She had found out yesterday what had happened to Matt and that he had yet to wake up. The worry had set in instantly, and she had run to find him. ...Ever since then, she had sat by his bed-side, looking after him and waiting for him to wake up. The fact that he wasn't was just worrying her further. So much so that she had fallen asleep beside him, EVEN while fully dressed. She stood up and gently brushed the hair from his eyes, feeling a bump on his fore-head from where he had hit it. "...You idiot. Making me worry like this..." she mumbled. ...She felt cramped from how she had slept, so she stretched up and then walked around the other side of the bed to the window and glanced out of it. Matt was her only friend here. She had no one else. He'd been the guy that Bellhurst had assigned to look after her as a new student and she had been so grateful for everything he had done for her. ...Maybe it was time she told him the truth soon. ...Everything about her and why she was here... about why she had come to Coy City in the first place.

Dylan was a light sleeper. Always had been. The moment that Marina had sat down, his eyes had opened, alerted by her presence. He knew it was her instantly, and he didn't panic. Because it was dark, she had yet to notice he was awake. Instead though, she pulled out her phone, and the bright screen illuminated her face. She was wearing one of those ridiculous outfits of hers again that she seemed to love so much, but for once, Dylan was slightly surprised to see that she wasn't wearing one of her wigs. It wasn't a big deal though.
Finally deciding to break the silence, he spoke, "Not gonna give one of your wake up blow jobs? That's a surprise." He realized that the suddenness of his voice appearing might startle her, so he sat up in his bed, the sheet loosely falling around him and revealing his bare chest. "Not like I care though. Although you are acting odd today. I'm gonna assume this isn't just a pleasure visit and you have some business with me?" Typical Dylan. Cutting straight to the chase instead of messing around. He reached over to his bedside table and grabbed a packet of cigarettes, taking one out and to his mouth and lighting lighting, then he held the packet out to Marina knowing that she too smoked on occasion.

Marcus was elated as he exited the small 50 Dragons Gaming Dojo, he had tracked down the Assassin's Creed game he played with that Quin girl and even discovered the first two before it. Then to his even greater joy he'd found the two sequels after it. He wondered if this game would ever end. He figured he'd start from the beginning as soon as he got home. Brr, it was cold though, but according to the backside of the first video game. Al...Altire, Atair, this Altair fellow went through all kind of hell or so the video store clerk told him. The van's backseats were heated and Marcus could feel his fingers trade the cold energy for the much wanted hot ones, he clutched his bag in his lap like he always done. He would master this game, and hopefully become as good at RPG's as he was in first person shooters.

The camera work looked...funny, as if the camera was following the character, what was that all about? His head snapped up from the instruction booklet of the first Assassin's Creed game, his chauffer, Jeeves, asked if him there was anywhere else he'd like to go, and Marcus's head shook no vigourously, ordering him to drive back to the school so he could get cracking into the Codex, whatever that was. Marcus snorted and wondered if he'd ever get to use a gun in this series. A plus to all this was that he was supporting a decent seeming home country studio. As his foot hit the ground of his campus, he gave a single wave to Jeeves before heading towards his dormroom to safely store his new treasures away, he wondered if his roommate was awake as he softly opened the door, in case he wasn't.

xxxxx "Morning Heidi,"

xxxxxShe pulled her face away from the screen at the sound of a Tyler's voice. Heidi glanced over at him and nodded slightly. "Morning," she mumbled quietly. Her eyes quickly darted back to the screen. Still no messages.

xxxxx"Hey. You alright?"

xxxxxShe didn't respond. Instead, Heidi sent Altair another text.
xxxxx"Um. I mean, I know you don't know me, so if you don't wanna talk it's fine. But I'm here if you feel like it."

xxxxxShe glanced back over at Tyler after hitting send. Maybe telling someone would be good. Casey didn't seem to care all that much, though. Would Tyler be the same way? Heidi cleared her throat and set the phone down on the bed. Her hands hugged her knees as she debated over what to say. Bangs blocked her vision and she spoke to the floor. "Altair... Altair hasn't come back. Not for awhile." Her sentences had that same short choppiness to them that they always got when she was upset-- never able to articulate a proper response.

xxxxx "Not gonna give one of your wake up blow jobs? That's a surprise." Always the jokester, she thought, sarcastically. Her eyes flashed up from the screen and to Dylan's face. His blond hair was a mess on his head and she smirked slightly. "Not like I care though. Although you are acting odd today. I'm gonna assume this isn't just a pleasure visit and you have some business with me?" Of course he cared. He could not deny it forever.

xxxxxShe pocketed the phone and pulled the hood down to rest on her shoulders. The long sleeves dangled by her legs as she rested her hands in her lap. "Most people would believe I act odd every day and do not pretend as if you are not disappointed. We both know you would rather wake up in that fashion." Marina teased, but her voice did not contain its usual playful inflection. It was serious. The matter was serious. There was no time for jokes. "You would assume correct." She took one of the cigarettes from the pack and pressed her lips down on the end. Marina lit it and took a long drag before finally speaking again.

xxxxx"There are matters to attend to Dylan." Definitely serious. She only referred to him by his actual name during serious conversations. Marina had come up with a silly nickname for him ages ago, purely to annoy him. The necklace she was wearing weighed heavily on her chest. The metal was cold still, from being outside, and seemed to restrain her more than it had any time before. "I know you never check your emails and such, so I thought I would make a housecall. Have you seen that strange one, about only having 100 days to live? I figured you probably would not have and I have been conducting some...experiments, if you will, in regards to it."

It was so hard for Matt not to smile as Zoey awoke and when she called him an idiot, he wanted to burst out laughing. He was an idiot, it was true, but hopefully not a too bad one and he did feel a little bad for making her worry. Although it was hardly on purpose, he wouldn't hurt himself on purpose like this...well maybe he would but he wouldn't knock himself out as he wanted to see the reactions. Then she stroked his face, it felt so nice but it was so ticklish and it took all the self restraint he had to not smile or open his eyes. It was as if she knew as was just testing him to see how good he was. Knowing Zoey that was actually a distinct possibility though. He did it though, he somehow did it, he managed to not give the game away. Or at least if Zoey had noticed, she was playing along and pretending she hadn't. She'd taken her hand off his face now, which was a relief, and he counted to five slowly in his head.

Suddenly he opened his eyes and grinned, sayin- wait she wasn't looking at him and hadn't noticed, however instead of letting this ruin his plans before he knew exactly what he was doing he was already acting. His hand shot up out of the bed and covered her eyes, preventing her from seeing him. "Guess who, gorgeous. Missed me?", he asked now sitting up in bed and ignoring the pain in his head, instead laughing ever so cheekily.

Tyler looked at the girl and tilted his head as she displayed her concern. He could tell she was rather timid, and it made him feel protective in a sense. He wanted to help her. It's kind of like how he was with Quin, although Quin had a strength to her too. Not that he perceived Heidi as weak, he didn't know her so it wouldn't be a fair judgement. He just felt he should do what he could. Making people smile was a good thing after all. "Well... it's true I haven't seen him that much lately." He mumbled. But then he looked at her with a smile on his face and with courage in his words. "It's simple then. All we have to do is look for him." He decided, standing up. "What do you say?"

"Guess who, gorgeous. Missed me?" As hand clamped down over her eyes. "Bloody Hell, Matt!" She screamed out as she nearly jumped ten feet into the air. She turned around to him with anger in her eyes and her hand heading towards his head, but she stopped herself at the last moment realizing hitting someone in the head who has concussion wasn't the best possible move. And... he was laughing just so innocently and heartily that she couldn't stay mad. The relief in her heart that he was awake was great too which further served to remove her annoyance at him. "You're such a dumbass! Do you know how worried I was? You've been asleep for days." She told him before suddenly hugging him. "Of course I missed you... you idiot." She told him in a fashion that she realized was slightly tsundere and completely unintentional.

"Most people would believe I act odd every day and do not pretend as if you are not disappointed. We both know you would rather wake up in that fashion."
Dylan smirked that dark handsome smirk of his. Well, he was a guy. Of course he enjoyed such things, and the fact was that Marina was definitely very skilled. Of course he wouldn't say no if she offered him or just plain did it. That didn't mean that he actually cared whether she DID do it or not. But he wasn't going to argue. It was too tedious and Dylan had learned through his years of experience with women and in particular, Marina. Arguing with them never worked.
"You would assume correct. There are matters to attend to Dylan." Dylan picked up on the use of his name instantly. So indeed these were serious things that were to be discussed. The flirtatious Marina barely used his name in such a way. So what was it? Had a client of hers gotten too close for comfort and needed a warning or what? It wasn't the first time. But... even then, those events were never 'that' serious. So this must be something else. He took a long drag of his cigarette "I'm all ears. Shoot."
"I know you never check your emails and such, so I thought I would make a housecall. Have you seen that strange one, about only having 100 days to live? I figured you probably would not have and I have been conducting some...experiments, if you will, in regards to it."
"You know I never check my emails and then you ask me if I've seen 'that' strange one." He exhaled a cloud of smoke and stared at her through it as it dissipated. "I thought you were psychic, surely you already knew I haven't seen whatever it is." He shrugged as he got up and grabbed a towel, ready for a shower and taking his boxers off not caring at all that a lady was present. After all, they were no strangers to each other's bodies, so it didn't matter. "One Hundred Days to live though? See? This is why I don't do that internet bullshít. But go on, I'll entertain whatever... experiments you have to talk about. I know the logic of this world is messed up. Stranger shít has happened. It's why I don't call you a lunatic and write you off as plain crazy. I know there is more to you than what others might perceive, so go on then. If it's interested you this much, then the least I can do is show as much interest as you do in me."

xxxxxHeidi lifted her head up slightly. He was going to help? One more to add to the list. Stop it. But you're doing such a good job-- luring them in with that sad girl, poor me, act. It's not an act. I...I don't need his help, or any of them. Of course not deary. You can do it all on your own. Stop it. Leave me alone! Ha. That will never happen deary. She clutched her hair in her hands, pulling tightly and reburied her face in her knees. Not now. This couldn't be happening right now. Just give in deary. Just give in.

xxxxx"S-sure," she said in a shaky breath. Her limbs constricted as she held herself tightly in the ball. They needed to find Altair. That's what she would have to focus on, not whatever was raging inside her mind. Altair. Where are you? He's not coming back deary. Can't you tell?

xxxxx"I thought you were psychic, surely you already knew I haven't seen whatever it is." I thought you were psychic. I thought you were psychic... That stung; more than Dylan could know. She kept her expression flat though, never giving away how much his comment may have actually hurt. Marina took another drag off the cigarette letting him continue. Before he did though, he began to undress. That was unexpected. Not that it was anything new, but still. She gave him a once over, smirked, then averted her gaze back to the cigarette between her two fingers.
xxxxxShe needed an ashtray. Ah yes. The nightstand. There was glass ashtray sitting next to lamp. That was dangerous. Didn't they have warnings about smoking in bed? "One Hundred Days to live though?" He began again. "See? This is why I don't do that internet bullshít. But go on, I'll entertain whatever... experiments you have to talk about. I know the logic of this world is messed up. Stranger shít has happened. It's why I don't call you a lunatic and write you off as plain crazy. I know there is more to you than what others might perceive, so go on then. If it's interested you this much, then the least I can do is show as much interest as you do in me."
xxxxxHe questioned whether or not she was psychic, then said he did not write her off as crazy. Conflicting arguments Dylan. Conflicting arguments. She sighed, before standing. Marina snubbed out the half-smoked cigarette in the ashtray and glided across the room-- closing the distance between the two of them. She leaned in close, brushing the bangs away from his face and smirked. "You should always listen to me. I need your hand. If my prediction is correct, your lifeline will match those of us I have already experimented on. And to be exact, there are eighty days left. Today would mark day twenty, not that you would know." She chuckled lightly.
xxxxxShe was still rather low-spirited, but did her best to relax. Dylan's presence usually helped with that. It was an odd feeling. So many sought her out for comfort, and until she had gotten to know Dylan, there was no one she had ever chose to do the same with. Marina did not even consider him as client. He wasn't, to be honest. He typically never asked for advice, his life story was mostly shrouded in a veil of mystery, and she was the one that had to entice him-- not the other way around. It was a strange game they played. Where he was the opposite of all those she helped. Marina liked it that way, though. There was no way she could confide in someone that so heavily relied on her. It would make things...a relationship, which is not something she was interested in. Especially now.
xxxxx"Take your shower first. Then we'll talk more." She gave him a kiss on the cheek before turning in the direction of the kitchen. "I'll cook something while I wait." She smirked. Cooking, it was not a strong suit. Everyone always cooked for her-- at school, at home, everywhere. Marina sauntered out of the bedroom, her hair bobbing up and down on the backs of her shoulders.

Cristina woke up in the morning feeling somewhat normal. She was definitely feeling a lot better than two days ago. Yesterday's full day of bed rest was definitely worth it. She rolled over to face Quin's side of the room. It seemed that she was still sleeping. She had returned late the night before, after all. Cristina had heard the door open and close in the middle of the night.

Cristina wanted to speak more with Quin but, her roommate was sleeping so peacefully and soundly that she did not want to wake her. Cristina got out of her bed and grabbed her sketchbook out of her bag. She decided to draw the view from outside her window. There was a cardinal sitting still on one of the bare branches of the tree outside. It's pretty. She did her best to capture the bird's beauty. She was glad that the bird sat still on the branch and did not fly away in the middle of her sketching. She smiled. Art...I hope the baby likes art too...

She sighed and continued to sketch as she waited for Quin to awaken.

" You sure do forget easily, don't you? "

. . .

" Come on, how can you not recognize me? "

. . .

" More silence? If you don't say something soon, I'll leave. You're wasting my time. "

" . . . Please don't go. "

" Now you decide to reply. "

" Forgive my lateness . . . How are you? "

" I'm dead. How do you think I am? "

" . . . R - right . . . "

" I bet you don't even remember me, do you? "

" Forgive me. "

" ALRIGHT, I THINK THAT'S ENOUGH TALKING TO HER. "

xxxxxxxxxx Kallisti was still mad at Kal for doing that, for waking her up. That pink voice was so familiar, she had the person at the front of her mind, their name at the tip of her tongue, yet she couldn't recall. It was the most irritating feeling and she wished it gone. She had not seen the owner of the voice, it had only echoed throughout the void where she stood; that voice . . . delicate and strong at the same time, had warmed her so much, circled her whole body, made her feel . . . lovely.

But Kal . . . Goddamn you, Kal . . . she thought, scrunching up her face in displeasure. Why did you not let me talk to her more? SO THAT YOU COULD WHAT - BREAK DOWN AGAIN? I DON'T THINK SO. I still do not even have the slightest of why you would think I would 'break down'! I wish you would just tell me . . . NO CAN DO, LOVE.

When she had waken up, Cristina had been sitting in her bed, sketching. Kallisti's dream had slightly shaken her, so she awoke with a small start; surely, her roommate had taken no notice of it, though - she hoped.

" Good morning, Miss Cristina. " she said, sitting up in her bed and rubbing at her eyes. She moved around slightly, adjusting her night clothing so that it looked more . . . appropriate on her. She swung her legs out of bed, unconscious of the fact that Cristina might see the makings that were on her legs, " How are you? "

She looked at the pad Cristina held; she was sketching a cardinal, and when Kallisti followed her line of sight, she found the subject of the girl's drawing outside the window. She smiled. This girl was an artist. Kallisti counted herself very lucky to have gotten a roommate such as herself.

YOU'RE SHOWING YOUR SHAME, KALLISTI. I do not know what you are on about . . . YOU'LL SEE. MAYBE. IF THIS GIRL IS SMART ENOUGH. . . .

xxxxxxxxxx He had been right, the girl had been gone before he had even woken up. Not that he blamed her. Not really. To be honest, he thought she was silly, sleeping with him like this, and then leaving in shame. He had seen it plastered all over her face as she cuddled into his side, last night. She was scared of judgment by her peers - not that most of them were more pure than she was.

It seemed that Harley didn't have a roommate anymore - the guy never returned to their dorms, so he basically had a room to his own. Not that he minded, living alone for three years. Alone . . .

His mind traveled back to how it ended up being like that. On the outside, his family was a picture-perfect deal. No one would be able to guess the many dirty businesses that went on in the inner workings. Frankly, he thought his family was the worse thing in his life. Sure, they could afford basically anything in the world that they wanted, but they were all malicious people. Yeah, they looked out for their own, but it was an obligation-thing. The only real human in his family from the previous generation was Lilith, his aunt, Lee's wife, Lorinda's daughter, and Kallisti's mother.

. . . And he had seen what happened to her.

He loved Lilith like his own mother ( even though his own mother was a complete wreck thanks to his dear old dad ), and he had thought that Lorinda loved her very much, too, but . . . Well, suffice to say, he thought wrong.

Hey.
Sorry I didn't say goodbye last night.
I was tired. And had a girl over.
Well, you probs didn't want to know that.
Ahg, Alli. Life, you know?

- Harley

He sighed and moved fluidly throughout the room. He didn't know what he wanted to do today. He wanted to relax, mostly, because truth be told, he had been stressed. The thing with Heidi, his ever-loving grandmother being the headmaster of this school and vice prez of its board, trying to keep Kallisti from finding out about Madeline's death . . . And all of these people that he kept sleeping with. Absorbing their emotions; despite popular belief, Harley Jackson was an extremely empathetic person.

He was simply tired.

He wondered if Heidi still wanted help with her phone.

Hey.
Wondering if you still need help with your phone.
You can come over, if you want, I'll be here.
Stay safe.
- Harley.

Stay safe. He always said those words to her. Why was it, he wondered? Now clothed properly, he fell back onto his bed and let out a deep sigh.

Yes . . . Very tired.

Allison woke up surprisingly earlier than she normally did despite how late she went to bed. I feel weirdly great. She decided that as comfortable as the bed was, she felt like doing something today and so she got dressed and left the room as quietly as she could, not wanting to feel Elizabeth's wrath. For the sake of checking because she was curious if she had received any text messages, she found to her surprise and delight that she did. Oh I hope it's not an automated text or something.

Hey.
Sorry I didn't say goodbye last night.
I was tired. And had a girl over.
Well, you probs didn't want to know that.
Ahg, Alli. Life, you know?

- Harley

Allison stared at the words with a dumbfounded face. Really, Harley? Really? Could you possibly be more lonely and desperate than me? God, how MANY people have you been SLEEPING with since we arrived?! ARE YOU THAT MUCH OF A MANWHORE. She thought angrily annoyed as her face contorted into an angry gritted face before shifting back into her normal stoic face. She sighed as she responded to him.

Well, i didn't say bye to you either. Felt tired too. Should we meet again today?

Now that Harley had brought her mind back to the party last night, she remembered hearing that strange girl's voice again. She had said something unintentionally loudly. A certain John Quincy was found dead at the Astronomy Tower. Right where she had followed the police. So someone else really did find him. And she and a few others had found the body. Man, that's rough. It was rather unfortunate that most everyone had overheard the girl as she had stated this just as the overall noise of the room had subsided. Allison had been there a couple times. Always awkward stuff. Hissing as she remembered a few said moments, Allison headed to the Heliocanthea again after breakfast. Maybe Harley would assume to meet there again unless he had a better place in mind. Assuming he wanted to meet again.

xxxxxHeidi managed to pull herself off the bed and move over to the luggage. She would need something warmer if they were to go outside. She dug through the piles and pulled out Temperance's sweatshirt, slipping it on over her sweater. It was clean now. Everything from that night in the woods appeared to be clean. Had someone done her laundry? They must have. She cringed slightly at the thought. She was always forced to do the laundry at Aunt Stacey's.

xxxxxHer feet slipped into a pair of black flats, sockless. She hated socks more than shoes. Heidi's phone made some sort of beeping noise from the bed and she quickly made her way back over to it. Her heart sank when she realized it wasn't Altair. Harley was good, but Altair was missing. Forget about them. If you really want him to live, that is. They coaxed her. She shook her head, reading Harley's message.

xxxxxHelp with her phone? Right. He offered to help her before. She couldn't have help now though, no with her phone. There was only one thing she could worry about, that was Altair. But, what if he was in town? Town wasn't safe. She couldn't hide in town. Heidi nibbled on her lip nervously as she typed out a quick reply to Harley.

xxxxxShe didn't feel right telling him no. Heidi's eyes darted back to Tyler, still in his bed. "Wh-whenever....whenever ready..." she mumbled. Of course it would take him longer to get ready. He had just woken up. She was already dressed and had gone out once. Heidi sat back down on the bed, facing the door and away from Tyler. She pulled her legs back up onto the bed and returned to holding her knees. It was all she could do to keep from scratching, or something of that nature.

"Alright. Um... Well, I need to change so... um... we meet outside?" he asked, and because Tyler's puppeteer decided to time skip ahead for convenience, after Heidi left, and he changed and brushed his teeth, they were both on the move. "So... I guess the best place to look would be the last place you know he was. Any ideas?" he asked. Even he knew how odd things were right now. He didn't know much about Altair, but he knew enough to know that the boy wouldn't worry his own sister intentionally.

"You should always listen to me. I need your hand. If my prediction is correct, your lifeline will match those of us I have already experimented on. And to be exact, there are eighty days left. Today would mark day twenty, not that you would know."
Dylan sighed as he listened to her, "My life line is probably short anyway knowing the stuff I get up to." He shrugged as he tapped his fág on the same ash-tray she had used before finishing it entirely.
"Take your shower first. Then we'll talk more." She gave him a kiss on the cheek before turning in the direction of the kitchen. "I'll cook something while I wait."
He felt a lingering warmth of her lips on his cheek, almost making him feel like shivering from the sensation. "But your cooking sucks." He said quite frankly, and honestly. But by then, she had started to walk away. Dylan found himself sighing again. The girl was very good at hiding things that bothered her, but it didn't take a genius to tell that something had knocked her spirits down. He'd known Marina for a few years now, and probably knew her better than most as she didn't tend to stick around her clients, and while he didn't know much of her family, he had a feeling that only he knew this side to her. Before she could expect anything, he'd touched her shoulder to stop her movement, before grabbing it firmer and spinning her around and holding her, her face pressed into his chest as a hand rested on the back of her head. "You know that comment before. I was being sarcastic. Not that I care enough to explain myself anyway." He said, referring to the 'psychic' comment he had made before letting her go and turning around. He didn't care... much. Marina probably was the closest thing he had to a friend despite their unique relationship. Nobody really attempted to get close to Dylan, which he knew was for good reason, but either way, as much as he said he didn't care, he had felt obliged enough to try and comfort her in some way, which she should know was a big deal. If there was one thing Dylan did, he never hurt girls, whether emotionally or physically. He'd only ever hurt a girl once and that was when she had tried to strangle him with a belt. It had turned out that he'd beaten up her boyfriend, and so she slept with him and then tried to kill him in his sleep. ...A bit extreme... but meh. That was a story for another time.
He started walking towards the bathroom, before muttering, "If you can wait for me to finish, I'll cook us something instead. As I said, no offence, but you burning the house down would be a pain for both of us." And then he had vanished into the other room.

Matt laughed so happily when she jumped, she did really have some quite amazing reactions and that one had worked brilliantly. It was obvious that she hadn't actually noticed he was awake, thankfully. When she was telling him off in only added to his laughter, Zoey was well Zoey and he wouldn't change her for the world. She could shout and an insult him all she liked, Matt just enjoyed the attention. The hug though. Wow. That shut him up. He hadn't expect her to do that at all. It was nice. Really nice. He loved every moment of it and hugged back, lovingly. He just hadn't expected that reaction at all and it made him feel guilty for putting her through all that worry. "Thank you" He whispered, while they hugged ever so quietly. Just two words but they broke through his usual act. They were only quiet but they were genuine and heart felt, he just hoped she realised quite how much she meant to him.

When they finally broke apart, Matt frowned. "Wait what? Back up a bit, how long have I been out for? What happened? I actually don't know. Have I missed much?" He asked, trying to figure everything out in his head. He'd guessed he'd been out for a while but entire days? No wonder Zoey had been worried. Entire days, just wasted to sleep. So many wasted opportunities to prank and so many reactions he'd not seen. He could have done so much in a few days. Not only that but if the email was to be believed, every day mattered. He looked at Zoey, searching for answers from his long time friend, he trusted her to tell him what had been going on. Currently he probably trusted her more than anyone and he liked it that way.

xxxxxHeidi had waited out in the hall for Tyler to get ready. She spent the entire time fidgeting and staring at the phone. It was getting later now. Almost noon. She didn't mind waiting, but she was afraid of where to look. Finally, the door opened and he stood out in the hall with her. Heidi lifted her attention from the phone to look at him. "So... I guess the best place to look would be the last place you know he was. Any ideas?" he asked.
xxxxxHer expression grew grim and she started at him blankly. "u-um...In there." She pointed to the bedroom door. "With you." Her hand fell to her side and she shoved the phone in her pocket. "...before I saw Harley." Maybe going off with Harley the other day had been a bad thing. If she had stayed, would Altair still be missing? Is it my fault? Sadly deary, no, it is not. If we had nothing to do with it, then it's not your fault. Then where is he? We'll find him. Then it'll be our turn to play with him. no... She shook her head and tugged on the ends of her hair.

xxxxx"But your cooking sucks." Marina glared at the door and before she could come up with some sort of snarky remark, she was pulled back. Back around and pressed firmly into Dylan's bare chest, arms wrapped around her. This was an interesting development. He didn't hold her like this too often. It was a rather intimate action and neither of them were intimate people. She breathed him in, the smell of stale tobacco filling her lungs. Tobacco and...sweat, probably. Did he get into another fight last night? "You know that comment before. I was being sarcastic. Not that I care enough to explain myself anyway."

xxxxxShe scoffed into his chest. Dylan was so full of himself. If he didn't care, he wouldn't be taking the time to explain. He liked to pretend he was more detached then he actually was, which was fine by her. If they both acted detached, then neither of them were in a real relationship. She didn't see the need for love, and he didn't feel as if he should be loved. Dylan never came right out and said it, but she had learned to read him well over the years. "Whatever you say," she mumbled softly into his chest.

xxxxxHe pulled away after that and began his walk to the bathroom. "If you can wait for me to finish, I'll cook us something instead. As I said, no offence, but you burning the house down would be a pain for both of us." He said, with his back turned to her. Marina made a pouting face, then stuck her tongue out at him. Sure, she was horrible and he had learned to cook properly after living alone for so long, but it didn't mean she couldn't try. She had only started a fire in his kitchen once, and it wasn't even a big fire. Everything survived and the food was even still edible.

xxxxxMarina watched him disappear into the bathroom before making her way into the kitchen. She took a seat at the small dining table. Serious, everything was so small. The apartment was virtually barren for the amount of money he makes. She pulled out her phone and began to respond to the various texts from clients she received. They were not happy, but would just have to deal with it.

Well... that was helpful. Tyler had no clue where to begin that meant. He thought about calling Mr. Heckles, or that Damn Old Man, Altair's grandfather, but he decided it'd be best to just look for now and if they have no luck, call them later. That still didn't help matters now though. "I don't know Brookridge... so this complicates things, and this place is too large to search everywhere. ...We need to try and narrow places down. ...Or is it even possible he went back to Coy City? Which would just further complicate things..." he mumbled as his keen deductive mind set to work.

Zoey pulled away from Matt's hug and stared at his frowning face. "Wait what? Back up a bit, how long have I been out for? What happened? I actually don't know. Have I missed much?" he asked her.
"From what I know, you've been out two days or so. I heard you hit your head pretty hard..." She mumbled. "I don't think you've missed anything from what I know... but... I was just so worried. I thought you might never wake up with this whole 100 Days thing going on..." And there it was. She'd finally bought up the email that they'd not really talked about.

Dylan let the hot water wash over him and clear his thoughts. One thing that he valued was hygiene. It was an important thing and he always took good care of himself. He didn't waste time in the shower knowing that Marina was waiting for him, so he got in, washed and got out. After drying himself off, he put on a pair of jeans and headed to the kitchen without a word, and... without a shirt. He didn't see a need to put on a shirt. ...It might be a good idea since he was gonna cook and stuff could spit at him, but he didn't really care.
He looked in his fridge... He had a balanced diet normally, but he was running out of stuff from his fridge, besides what he had left worked well for Marina as she was a meat eater. He grabbed a few ingredients and started working at making a fried breakfast, of bacon, eggs, sausages and toast. It didn't take him long, and soon enough, he'd set down two plates in front of Marina and himself. Living alone for so long, he'd learned to cook from early on, and was pretty good. He'd also worked part time as a waiter and other things which just added to his experience. "Well dig in." He offered. This was a common thing for the two of them. Eating breakfast together, usually after a night of being together. Dylan knew how Marina liked things in the morning, in more than one sense.

A few days was an awful long time in his eyes but there was nothing he could do about it now, he'd just have to make up for it, gave him an excuse to go even more mad. He still wasn't certain how he'd actually done it though, how had he managed to hit his head so hard? What had he hit it on? The ground? had he fallen over?

However his ears perked up the moment the email was mentioned and he started laughing. He knew it wasn't a laughing matter but still he found it entertaining. "You can't get rid of me that easy, you should know that by now and at last the forbidden subject is mentioned. I was wondering if you'd got that email since your name was on it, but you never mentioned it." He shook his head, his laughter had stopped by now. "I wish your name wasn't on it, that it was only me. Well preferably I'd like it to not exist at all but we don't seem to be that lucky. I don't think it's a joke any more. The two girls I found at the bath, their names were on it. I don't know if you've been checking the news either but since it started 3 other people on that list have died in various ways, another girl on it is missing. It's scary stuff."

He paused and looked at Zoey, "You're going to be okay. I'm going to do everything that I can to protect you and if we can't stop it then I'm going to make our remaining days the best I can. You're an incredible person and this, this is just wrong." Matt's hand clenched into a fist in determination. For once he wasn't joking about or flirting with her, he was being serious and meant every word.

"...Or is it even possible he went back to Coy City?" He wouldn't...He wouldn't go back without her, would he? Her eyes widened in panic at the idea. Was he leaving her behind? Heidi swallowed hard and began scratching her arms. He wouldn't, but they didn't know each other that well. It had only been a week and a half. He might. She might have bothered him. Was sleeping in the bed with him a bigger deal than he let on? Maybe it angered him. That would make sense as to why he had yet to respond. Clearly, the only logical explanation was that he hated her. Why would he leave, otherwise? It had to be her fault.

She saw the way he would fight with his grandpa. He could handle anyone that tried to hurt him. So, if he's been gone for two days, then he must have left. He was getting rid of her. Heidi's heart sank deeper. Shh...it'll be all right deary. We'll help you through this. As soon as we find him, we'll take care of him for abandoning you like this. Her arms began to have a burning sensation as she scratched vigorously on the sweatshirt. The fabric of the sweater underneath dug into her skin. "I...I don't know..." she mumbled, not really sure to whom. She didn't want them to hurt Altair when(if) they found him, but she also didn't know where to look. Heidi knew so little about him.

Marina set her phone down on the table at the entrance of a shirtless Dylan. It was a delightful sight. One of the best. She always enjoyed a good view, and Dylan cooking shirtless was definitely one of them. Marina sat there quietly smiling as he made her a very meaty meal. When finally done, he set the table and handed her the plate. He did a good job. If there was a way for her to convince him to quit working at the night club and just spend the rest of his days cooking for her, she would do it. The rest of his days... She sighed before looking up at him through bites of sausage.

"From what I've seen so far, this whole numbered days thing seems to be true." she said, finally breaking the silence. She didn't like to talk to Dylan about serious matters. He was someone she could relax around, and this was most certainly not relaxing. "There was one of those new Bellhurst students found dead in the Astronomy Tower two days ago. He was on this so called list. The email recipients-- and all those strange weather occurances lately. Things are amiss. I was drawn to the body, just as I was guided to a different one of the new students-- who also appeared to be on the list. Everyone that I have encountered so far had an identical life line. The same as I. And the cards...well, whenever I attempt to use the cards on myself...I get the same outcome."

She paused to take a bite of toast. "Even with Elliot. I let him choose his cards, and the outcome was exact. It must be a big deal if Elliot is coming to see me." He had to be one of her biggest nonbelievers. How could he believe when he so heavily relied on science and facts. If it could not be obtained by one of the senses, how could it possibly be real? His manner of thinking was so narrow-minded. Marina finished the food on her plate and brought the dishes to the sink. She did not fear death itself, but knowing how soon death would be knocking on her door was another matter. She glanced back at Dylan smiling, but there was something darker behind her blue eyes.

Alex got up with a very slow start. Probably do to getting a few extra minutes of sleep, which turned into a few hours. The rest of his start was very slow and lazy, almost as if he didn't want to get up today. Guess I'll be coming back a lot sooner than planed. He didn't plan to eat breakfast today, so he simply went for a walk.
