xxxxxxxxxx He listened to Heidi's stomach growl and let out a little chuckle as she told him that she was hungry. Her saying this reminded him that he hadn't eaten all day as well, and felt hungry too. " Let's go get something to eat then, shall we? " He offered her his arm, and then began walking, wondering where to go . . . The diner that they went to yesterday should be open, and it seemed like they didn't just serve breakfast, so he decided to lead her there.

The trip was quiet, but Harley didn't mind; Heidi seemed hungry and he wanted to get some food in her so that she would feel better. Why he was caring so much about her, he really didn't know, but he hoped it stayed this way. Sometimes, his malicious side would want to come out, and he wouldn't want her around for that. When they arrived at the small, but warm diner, they were directed to a table and he ordered what he wanted.

" I'll walk you to the girls' dorm building after we're done eating here, okay? " he told her. It was late, and he didn't want her walking around this big place by herself. He didn't know what she would do if left alone. Would they bother her more, the voices? He sighed as their food was sat down in front of them. He was happy that service was fast; it was late, and he was getting more tired by the minute. " Don't worry, " he told her, when the two of them were almost done eating, " I'll pay. "

Nothing but small talk had passed between the two of them while they ate. Heidi must have been hungry - and he knew that he was. When they were both done, Harley left tip money and then went to the register to pay. He was so full that he was slightly tempted to rub his stomach in content, but he decided to against that as he called Heidi over and led her out of the building, " I hope you got enough to eat, " he told her at the entrance to the girls' dorms, " I'll see you tomorrow? " he then asked with a wink, giving her a paper with his number on it, " If you ever need anything, at all, call me. Again, I'm sorry for everything before. "

Just an hour, a shower, and two cigarettes later, Harley was crashed out in his bed, tired from walking everywhere.

{ } || astronomy tower incident les valses macabres des morts

Nightfall.

There was a soft drizzle among the trees as Olivia emerged. It took her a longer time to reach the Astronomy Tower than she expected, and not to mention the detours and tea breaks she required. It was not that. It was not simply just that, because-- because she would always lose confidence when growing closer to the Astronomy Tower. She would decide to retreat, go eat lunch, take a break, or visit later, and it was only after strolls of confidence-setting in the gardens of the Heliocanthea was she finally able to move past the forest towards the Astronomy Tower.

She gazed upon it, her umbrella a tightly-held barrier from the cold lapse of the drizzle's soft windy tickle. These mountains typically had more rain than snow on these nights. The tower as, as usual, stood by itself on a hill right before the mountains, looking down at the rest of the Academy grounds. It was alone. Isolated. A guardian on the boundary of the universe, that cast its watch-dog gaze across the edge of the infinite in order to protect the tangible world from the dangers that lie beneath the fabric of reality. It was a symbol of the island among the hills and mountains in which the Academy lay. A sanctuary for all those requiring respite from the cacophonous choir of the noisy, bitter world.

But tonight? Tonight was different. The drizzling rain rapped its fingers gently against the stone surface of the tower. There was something ... off about the Tower tonight. She couldn't place her tongue on it. But it was as if her instincts were acting up on her. Her instincts of-- of her past experiences with everything? N--no, it couldn't be.

Olivia inhaled gently, and began her stroll towards the tower, all the while calling out for her friend. Her gentle voice echoed through the misty rains, shouting -- "Viola!" "Viola!" But it took a good while, when she approached the very door of the tower, until her call was responded to. Immediately, a gentle chirp sounded in response from the top of the tower. Olivia looked upwards. Something was flying towards her. Finally! Oh, yes! Olivia smiled joyfully, pressing her hands together. It was Viola! The white dove dived quickly and was almost like a miniature jet, its one red robotic eye looking around curiously and the metal tips of its wings a stark contrast in the rain with its illustrious white feathers. With another chirp, Viola landed on Olivia's shoulder.

"Viola!" Olivia said with touches of happiness in her voice. "Viola! I was so worried! Where--"

She stopped.
What was-- what was that on Viola's wing?
Olivia lowered her head towards Viola to take a closer look. It was-- it was red--Oh.
Oh ... oh dear.

It was blood.
Blood?!

... Blood.

...

Olivia bit her lip.
That's right. John ... John Quincy, was his name? The gentleman's name? The one the people with the e-mail were supposed to kill. The one that the inexplicable, supernatural urge had driven them all to. Was this why Viola had been here all night? Oh no. This-- this was not happening, was it? Calm yourself, Olivia. Do not breathe loudly. Do not.

She rushed up the stairs and reached the top of the tower.
And--
And what greeted her--

was--

was--
[IMG]

The murdered body of the man named John K. Quincy.

Was this ...

Was this really what--

What happened in here?

Father ...

Father ... where-- where are you?

Did you leave me in here father?

Please do not leave me here.

Please.
Olivia let out a piercing scream, and fell to the ground, fainted from the stress of the memory.

Marcus. Marcus was his name.

And Marcus had left him here, finally, by his room. Cherno was tired. So tired. He had barely had any sleep to be had -- really, besides the entire unconscious knockout. What even was that? Cherno ruffled through his pockets and glanced at the box of pills that had been left in his hand. What was the label on them? They looked like normal painkillers to him.

But-- but that professor of medicine. Where did he see her before? It was on the tip of his tongue. Ugh. Goddamn amnesia!
Cherno kicked his door gently in frustration. Was old Cherno always this violent?
She said that it was planned. It was intended -- his loss of memory. But ... why? Well, Cherno couldn't figure that out right now. Could he ever? He balanced his box of pills on the tip of his finger as he looked dimly at them with his analytical eyes. Did he need these right now? His left hand felt sore -- more sore than recently. It was strange. It was as if the moment he began remembering things, his left hand started to hurt ... again. Cherno sighed. Did he want to tie it to anything? Perhaps it was a clue to his own person beforehand.

He gently pushed open the door and glanced inside his room. It was surprisingly clean -- had his roommate visited yet? The list said that his name was Casey Heckles. Heckles. Was he the son of the famous fisher man from Coy City? He wasn't surprised at all that such a rich billionaire and owner of a fishing conglomerate could afford to send his son to such a prestigious place as the Academy, really.

He looked at the corner of his room, and just like his Benefactor said, there were his things -- all ready and accounted for. Did-- did his Benefactor know about his amnesia? Who were they, really? It really was painful to ... to not remember things. Memories made up a person. Cherno rested his face in the palm of his hand and sighed again. Depression descended upon his frame like a positive parabola. He sat on the bed closest to the window, before kicking off his shoes and lying on the soft duvet, resting his head atop his arms behind him.

John hadn't replied yet.

Why did he say all those things to John? All he could remember of him were a few texts, really. Nothing special. And-- and yet, he felt something for him. Something deep in his heart.

So why hadn't he replied yet?
Fuck.
This is how John must have felt when Cherno was unable to reply.

...

He placed his phone by his side and looked at the ceiling.

...

Dammit.
He picked up his phone again.

Okay. Okay. Enough texts to the guy.
He was probably okay. Perfectly fine. So why did Cherno seem so worried? He picked up his bottle of painkillers and held it above his face, to the ceiling. Would he know when exactly he would need these? Or--
Or ...

...

Fuck.
Cherno rushed and picked up his phone again.
Why?
Why did his heart suddenly ache so much?

Cherno slowly rested his phone beside him, his hands trembling. In the darkness of the room, as he slowly drifted to sleep, it would be impossible to see the tears that stained his cheeks.

Harley brought her to a diner for food. It was good food, even though she didn't eat much. Her hunger was great, but having so little to eat made it impossible to consume much. The bits of small talk exchanged between Harley and herself was pleasant but uncomfortable. Small talk wasn't something she was used to. "I'll walk you to the girls' dorm building after we're done eating here, okay?" The girl's dorm? But, she wasn't staying in the girl's dorm. Oh. Harley didn't know that. She was about to comment, but then the subject changed just as quickly.

After they left the diner, Harley proceeded to walk her to the girl's dorm. By this point in time, she didn't have the heart to tell him that she wasn't staying there. He walked her up to the door and stopped outside the large building. "I'll see you tomorrow?" he then asked with a wink, giving her a paper with his number on it, "If you ever need anything, at all, call me. Again, I'm sorry for everything before."

"Tomorrow," she responded simply, holding the piece of paper tightly in one hand as he disappeared into the night. Now she would have to walk back to the boy's dorm alone. The grounds were dark and creepy at night, but she tried not to let it bother her. Heidi moved quickly, having watched far too many horror films in her time in captivity. Upon reaching the boy's dormitory, she pulled the large door open quietly and snuck up the three flights of stairs to the floor Altair's room had been on.

Which one was it? She stared at the room numbers for a long while as she debated which to enter. Taking an educated guess, Heidi moved to one farther down the hall. She hoped he hadn't locked the door on his way out earlier. Her hand turned the knob, finding it unlocked, fortunately. The room was warm and inviting. She shivered once as the cold left her body and noticed the sleeping figure in the bed opposite Altair's. Oh. The roommate must be here now. Deciding against causing a scene, Heidi pulled one pillow and one blanket off of Altair's bed and curled up underneath it. It was high enough off the ground for her to easily fit-- and after the hospital, she had come to like the idea.

Heidi continued to hold Harley's phone number snuggly to her chest as she drifted off to sleep. No one had given her their phone number before, not that she had a phone, but still. She would have to keep it safe in case of emergencies. Would he really hold true to the few promises he made today? She liked him. He was nice, even if he did yell at her. She deserved it. Altair, Anthony, Harley. They were all really nice to her. There was a small smile etched in her lips as she slept soundly.

Having given Marina a nod, Casey waved goodbye as she left the area. The fortune brought great joy to the boy and he was ecstatic. Clenching his fist Casey jumped up and raised his fist as high as he could "YESSSSSSSSSSS THERE IS A GOOD CHANGE I'M GETTING A GIRLFRIEND WOOOOOT!" Casey cheered happily as he did a little dance of joy in the halls. He was so happy he really didn't care about anything. Coming back to school was great and already he was enjoying things. After calming down, Casey returned to his dorm room that he had left for vacation. With a relaxed smile Casey jumped into bed and fell fast asleep. In his excitement he didn't actually realized that he gained a new roommate.

Food wasn't hard to find and Altair was starting to get a better feel of Brookridge now. With stomach full, Altair proceeded to explore around the area. He traversed a good distance and then in the end he came up to the one place he was truly looking for. "Bingo" Altair said with a grin as he walked into Brookridge's very own public gym. Time went on and Altair went through his usual harsh training regiment. Without the old man around, what he did was considered child-play in his own eyes. Nonetheless it still felt great to get his body in shape like this and felt this would have to be a normal thing of his scheduled.
Soon enough the day came to an end and Altair returned back to the Academy and headed towards the dorm room that he had obtained. Opening the door Altair glanced around and stared over at the bed next to Altair's. He was sure this time it wasn't a pile of pillows and this time it was actually a living human being. Not paying any real attention to the roommate, Altair head over to his bed and raised an eyebrow at the scene "what the?" Altair muttered quietly as stared at the bed that was missing a pillow and a blanket. It confused him for a moment, but when he noticed something under his bed the silver haired teen could only smile when he realized what it was. Shaking his head, Altair took the remaining blankets and placed it over the girl's sleeping form. "Silly girl, its getting cold out and the floor is no place for a lady to sleep on." Altair said very quietly with a gentle smile and gave her hair a stroke "enjoy your time Heidi make friends and have fun...that's all I wish from you...I want you to be happy even when I leave.." Altair said calmly as he stood back up. Getting up onto the bare bed, Altair fell fast asleep.

When Alyssa returned to her dorm, she was the only one there, but her letter of introduction was placed on a table. Alyssa guessed that her roommate came in and read it.
Then she remembered what Lisa told her, and her promise to never tell anyone about her biggest secret.
That was the only thing on her mind when she showered and put on some pjs.
"Be strong, Lisa." Alyssa said as she drifted off to sleep.

The rest of Ace's day was uneventful, just hanging out with his friends and working more on his comics.
When he returned to shower, he noticed his roommate was sleeping, and that his note was gone.
"Yes! My roommate read it!" Ace smiled as he showered, put on a tank top and some sweatpants, and fell asleep.

{Day: 18 1/3 Tumblr Wearing x & x Wig}

"I know the now.
I study the past.
To Predict the Future."
xxxxxElliot. Elliot. Elliot. Marina kept checking the final touches of her dorm room. A first session was always important, but was even more so when it occurred with someone who refused to attend. She had been trying to convince him for quite some time to come in just once, but to no avail. This was not his cup of tea. They clashed on most ideals. He lived in the here and now. Only believing what his senses could allow him to. She believed in the future, the afterlife, the properties of divination and even magic to a degree. Not that she believed anyone could truly perform magic, but that it was out there somehow. Existing in some far off place no one could truly access.

xxxxxShe straightened her wig in the mirror and pulled the hood of the cloak up and over her head. Cloaks were one of her favorites. They were far more fitting for a psychic than a coat or jacket. The curtains were pulled together, blocking out the early afternoon light. It was lunch time-- noon--, but this was far more important than eating. Incense burned near the window, filling the room with a mixture of jasmine and lavender. Her deck of cards were stacked neatly on the coffee table, the sketch of Casey's palm lay beside it. That was important. A bottle of hand-sanitizer sat on the end table next to her small couch. The disinfectant was important. She had already washed her hands half a dozen times. Hopefully he would believe her.

xxxxxMarina was jittery with excitement. She couldn't wait to get this started. Elliot. Whether he believed anything she said to him didn't matter, only the fact that he would come and give it a shot. Would his hand be similar to the ones she had already seen, or would it match most everyone else in this school? The psychic had yet to decide which outcome she would prefer. Taking a seat on the leather sofa, she dealt out a hand of cards while she waited. Would he be late? Someone of his caliber was most likely always on time. Very punctual. She grimaced at the outcome and quickly reshuffled the cards and set them back down.

xxxxxThe dim lighting provided a shroud of mystery to what she did, but to be honest, she only made it dark for the theatrics. It would make things easier to see if all the lights were on, but she liked keeping the interest of those that were her clients. Twinkle lights circled the ceiling, illuminating the constellations she had plastered to the walls. Astrology. That was fun stuff. She did not understand how anyone could deny the truth that was in horoscopes. Often times, she found the predictions and characterizations to be quite accurate to the individual. What was Elliot's sign? She would have to learn of his birthday and look it up. Marina was a Pisces. March third. given the time limit in the email, she would have her birthday just shortly before the arrival of their death. What would happen then?

xxxxxShe pondered her thoughts contently while sitting there waiting for Elliot to arrive. Oh what fun they would be having.

Every morning Elliot ate breakfast of the healthiest foods he could get his hands on, though today it had been a bit lacking. How awful. Horrid. A simple nightmare. Nothing could be found but simple whole wheat toast. No, how could he ever forget to go shopping for things to digest? Oh yes, it had been that email's fault. At first it was brushed off with laughter but after the series of events that seemed to followed the teen could not bring himself to leave the room other than for class as he racked his brain over the possibilities.
How could a prank result in natural catastrophes? It was blasphemous! Simply an act standing to rebel against the laws of physics, something that should never be tampered with. Oh, it was going to get everyone killed. Everyone crushed in earthquakes or drowned in floods or even maimed by the next lunatic to pass through. Though if that meant a few less annoying creatures roaming about Elliot could hardly complain.
But pushing that aside he had to get on with his routine for not a moment could be wasted as once gone time could never be restored. So once finished eating a twenty minute hot shower was taken as it was taken at the start of every day at the same time, 9:00am.
Once out he felt exposed and disgusted with himself so drying off happened quickly and the putting on clothing even faster. On top of his layers of clothing which included a t-shirt, sweater, and jacket along with thick jeans there was his ever present medical mask covering his face. And with that he was ready for the day.
The day...ah, right. He had an appointment. Was he so tired that a feeling of obligation to do things that...woman's way appeared in him? How awful. This called for an extra layer of black nail polish to be applied before his departure, as even though it contradicted nearly everything he done to stay as clean as possible it soothed his mind.
Yes. So he was ready now. And being late was not a good thing to do, never a good thing. So why was he walking so slow? Aha. What nerves were these? Oh, this female he had to interact with now always gave him an uncomfortable feeling. Not only did she believe in what he thought to be a sign of insanity she so openly had sexual intercourse with so many people. Just one person touching another was a thought that made bile form in his throat so this...was already getting to be too much.
No matter...he would just have to get this over with. It was far too late to turn back after all. So after a deep breath he knocked on the door before him, nearly a hundred percent sure it was the correct one. A moment later a voice called for him to enter. Ah...pity. She was in. Another breath would take place before he finally went inside, examining the room through the lenses of his glasses with curious eyes. It was nothing past what he expected though still lacking in what he thought he would see. This was good though. And she even remembered the disinfectant! A pleasant start.
"Good afternoon, M-Marina," he choked behind the mask before checking his watch, "it seems I got here just as it became twelve o'clock so this is good, correct?"
The young adult moved to search for the place which he was meant to sit but everywhere screamed of someone else's presence. Filth. But he had to sit, didn't he? That is how he had assumed these things were done. So he shows no signs of the anxiousness he felt swelling up inside and smiled, though it would not be seen.
"Pleasant day, pleasant room... Yes, this isn't as bad as I thought it'd be, so far. So we shall sit? Or do your...c-clients normally stand?"

Marcus chowed down merrily. This pizza was really good with his fries. His mind flickered back to that Cherno fellow as he let his mind wander to recent events. The Bellhurst kids seemed to be true, through and through. He thoughtfully began to chew his food as he figured he should double check on the fellow. He seemed like he was on death's door. Some food would do him some good! He could show Cherno the ropes despite being the younger one. He smiled a small private smile before heading back to his room after disposing of his tray. He made sure he was adquately dressed and bustled over to the room Cherno had told him the day before. Oh boy, his first day looking for a new friend and whamo! He might already have one, Marcus was getting nervously giddy so once outside the appointed door, he stopped, slapped his cheeks and forced his body to take a few deep breaths. "Marcus, your first impression must have been good, because he wants to talk to you again. So don't screw up. Maybe he'll go shopping with you." Merely saying that quietly outloud cheered up Marcus. The poor bum kid from Bellhurst looked like he needed a good friend and a new wardrobe.

Aside from an uncle and cousin who lived in Coy City before the flooding, Marcus knew little to nothing about Brookridge's neighbour. He could only hope they all didn't talk in the weird confusing manner that Cherno talked in. He made a mental note to check with his cousin before the day was through. He sighed, took one more deep breath which did nothing to still his beating heart and took the plunge. Rising his fist up to knock on the solid door of Cherno's assigned dorm room. Nervous Marcus prayed that the doormate wouldn't pick up. He was feeling three times the shy just thinking about it. What would he say? Duh he'd ask for Cherno. But what if it was another Bellhursty! And he tripped on his tongue while talking and looked like an utter fool. What if they were older boys. And cool, like Cherno, kind seemed, in a weird Cherno way. "Dude, calm down before you have a panic attack!" He berated himself quietly before applying three knocks on the door and tensing up as if a gun was in his hands and he was on a military mission. Some soldier.

xxxxxxxxxx Kallisti woke the next morning, very early, for what she discerned was for no reason. Simply not feeling up to rising early today, she shifted around in her bed for what may have been hours on end, trying to find a comfortable position that her stomach wouldn't hinder her peace too much. This time of the month always made her feel indolent and unproductive, but she knew that some time, soon, she would have to leave the warmth of the covers and bed to face the world.

Just a few hours later, at nine o'clock ( which she deemed was far too late for waking up ), Kallisti rose from her bed and padded her feet to the shower. Twenty minutes later, she came out of the steaming bathroom with a towel wrapped tightly around her body and fetched clothing for the day. Cristina, it seemed, was still fast asleep, and so she took great care not to make too much noise, lest she should wake the other girl up.

After slipping on her V-neck sweater shirt, she slipped on some socks and looked at the clock; it was nearly ten, now. With a sigh, she wondered about today's plans. Perhaps she should explore the grounds, more? Miss Olivia could also be in want of proper company, and Kallisti would love nothing more during the day than to take tea with her once again. As the thoughts glided through her mind, she sat on the side of her now made-up bed, her hands folded together, and she leaning forward with her elbows resting upon her knees.

Her mind traveled to Johnathan K. Quincy; the God Kisser. The fine-print rules had specifically said "No religion." Is that what Johnathan had died for - if he had died at all? A devout Christian, he was, for absolute sure, he was a worshiper of the Christian god, but Kallisti wondered if there was any kind of deity that could be worshiped and not be punished for such. Crestatia, perhaps? Though why anyone would want to worship a demoness as herself, Kallisti had no idea. Admirable power, yes, cleverness and cunning, she was.

Abigail Rider. The name abruptly slammed into her with full force of shame, pain, and sadness. Kallisti could not say that she was traumatized of it from the aspect of that girl's murder being her first, but the swiftness in which she had taken the action, in which she had decided that she would die . . . The vote it had been put to, the realization that with Abigail's life came Kallisti's own - she had almost died in that auditorium . . . Someone had saved her life, right? Crestatia had spared her after she was saved . . . Who had it been that rescued her?

. . . Come to think of the situation, she had never discovered the person.

On the nightstand next to her bed, her phone vibrated and she looked at it to continue. Who was it, she wondered? She didn't want to think of that so she simply lifted if from its place and read the name listed on the message. Father . . . Her father!

Kallisti, your grandmother told me that you're at Brookridge.
Why didn't you tell me? Not that I've been home these few days.
I miss you. Grandma told me to come see you, soon.
I love you, Kallisti.

Her heart thumped. Why hadn't he told her where he was? Where had he been - had he been worried? Lorinda . . . Of course she would tell him . . . He would come visit her? She would like that very much . . . a normality in her current, hellish life, her father . . .

Forgive me father, I should have left a note.
I did not think I would not be coming home. I was only here to visit the school . . .
I do not know how I ended up staying . . . I have a dorm room, now.
I want to see you soon, father, I miss you . . .
- Kallisti

With a quiet sigh, she began to twist her dark, dry hair that ruffled at her shoulders. Her blue eyes drifted to the sleeping form of Cristina, wishing for company, soon.

{Day: 18 1/3 Tumblr Wearing x & x Wig}

Marina had to refrain from giggling at Elliot's unease. This was going to be so much fun, she could hardly control the swell of excitement within her. "Good afternoon, M-Marina. It seems I got here just as it became twelve o'clock so this is good, correct?"

"And a pleasant day to you to Elliot. Yes. Punctuality makes the world go round." It was a joke, but in her line of business, she needed clients to be on time. No one could cut into someone else's session. It would cause far too many unnecessary issues.

"Pleasant day, pleasant room... Yes, this isn't as bad as I thought it'd be, so far. So we shall sit? Or do your...c-clients normally stand?"

Oh this was too easy. She pursed her lips, withholding the laughter, and leaned over the armrest of the sofa. Marina picked up a small plastic container and handed it to Elliot. "Disinfectant wipes. For the couch. I assumed you might like them." See. She could be accommodating as well. Patting the spot on the couch next to her, she signaled for him to take a seat. "Whenever you are ready Elliot." The psychic gave him a moment to compose himself and sit down before continuing. Picking up the deck of cards, she puckered her lips and smiled at him softly. "You know, some clients may stand, but those are for different purposes." Laughing lightly at her own joke, she pulled the hood of the cloak down with her free hand-- letting it rest loosely behind her shoulders.

"Are you ready?" She clicked her tongue and began to deal out the Tarot cards on the table. "You see, recently, I have only been able to deal a certain set of cards. No matter how many times I shuffle or how well they are mixed up, I pick the same ones." Laying the cards face up, she frowned. There they were again. "I also noticed something when I was with Casey Heckles yesterday. There is a particular line on your palm that coincides with that of your lifeline." She paused and turned on the sofa to face him. "Your hand please." Marina quickly lathered up with another layer of hand sanitizer and then reached for Elliot's hand. She had a feeling the only way she would be getting it was by force. "Right here." She tapped on the crease in his left palm. "Most people do not know of it and it is supposed to run from this point here, all the way down to the wrist." Her pointer finger trailed across his palm, directing the path. "On Casey, it does not. It stops right here." Her finger tapped just above the heel of his hand. "Your's...your's appears to be doing the same thing. Mine as well. Even...even on Casey's brother Altair. I noticed this the other day when I met him. It is not complete."

Letting go of his hand, Marina reached across the table and picked up a sheet of paper. It was printout of a hand that she had gotten off the internet. "This is what it should look like, but it does not. The cards here, on the table-" she gestured dramatically, "keep coming up as death. Limited time. It is just as it was stated in that email, that I know you received as well. So, if you didn't take it seriously before, I hope you shall now. This, this is rather disturbing." She cleaned up the cards off the table before redirecting her attention back to Elliot. "Would you like to try picking cards to see if they have the same outcome?"

{OOC: ---WearingDay 18.1}
At some point during the night, Heidi had grown too cold under the bed-- which seemed odd given the fact that she had more blankets on then she had taken originally. She shivered and suddenly the floor was no longer comfortable. With sleepy eyes, she crawled out from underneath the bed and stood beside Altair's bed. He had no blankets. He had given her all of his blankets? Surely he must be cold too. "Altair...are you awake?" No response. He was clearly sleeping, even she in her groggy state could have figured that one out. "Can I sleep with you?" she whispered into the darkness. Nothing. Well, if he didn't respond then it obviously wasn't a no.
She curled up beside him and pulled all the blankets over their two bodies. He was warm even without the blankets. It was nice. Sleeping beside him seemed to bring her comfort and rested her weary mind. The only thing to disturb it now, was the early afternoon light. How had it gotten so late in the day already? Not that she cared. Heidi continued to remain snuggled beside him, her face buried under the covers. It was surprising Altair was not up yet. Had his roommate woke up yet? Heidi didn't want to accidentally wake up Altair, so she remained beside him unmoving. How long would she have to lie there? Not that she minded.

O-oh was she...finding his reactions amusing? Laughable? Well...she looked like a cartoon, so aha! He would not say anything of this out loud for the time being but it still felt like a victory on his side and thus he was able to happily sit down, after wiping his spot up of course. And for this Marina was given thanks.

Though what came after that, that joke or whatever it might have been, was completely lost on Elliot so only a blank stare was given in response. Perhaps he would had figured it but the necessary time to do so was not given before the other had moved on the those cards. What were they?

Ah. Tarot cards.

All of this was feeling rather silly, though the fact that the same cards kept appearing piqued his interest. Wait - No. No, she had to have been lying to him to set the mood or something. Dishonesty had to be the answer here, for no way something like that could actually happen.

Anyway.

Casey Heckles. That name... A fellow student. Someone else on the list. Was - Ah! The dreaded moment was upon him now. It was time for, he gulped, physical contact...

Even as she cleaned her own hands he did not feel like surrendering his so easily, though was allowed no time and little choice in the matter.

Twitch.

Twitching the hand she grabbed had much difficulty staying still for the first few seconds though froze soon after. Why did she insist on prolonging this tragedy by showing him how this tasteless fact. Oh but it did not end there. No, of course it did not. For now he must pick some cards. Wonderful!

Well, his hand was already tainted so long as it was carefully used this could be dealt with in a neat manner though afterwards the hand sanitizer greeted the person like an old friend who had faded from from everyone's lives for years only to return in a tearful reunion. That and a pair of latex gloves pulled from the black jacket's pocket's and promptly used to cover the pale hands of Elliot.

All the while doing this though replies were given in accordance to the email. What a silly thing. Though with each passing moment it became harder to deny it's plausibility... Science could not fail him now, not after these long years of existence. It was the only source of comfort, truth, and stability known. So for it to vanish now would mean life held little meaning at this point.

Though, if science no longer proved as life's greatest mysteries did this mean magic would consume all in its place? Dear Hawking, save him from this cruel life.

"I grow more wary of this...thing we must play our way through in order to reclaim our original lifespans more each day. First, haha, game? Hundred days to live? Ha! Though after the rain and snow, with the sun still out? Not to mention quake and eclipse... Floods and deaths..."

Pausing for a moment he adjusted his mask in thought. "I shall study the ones involved and figure out which piece they are. Are you a queen? Or a knight? Maybe just a pawn. We could all be pawns but how boring would that be?" He paused again, though this time to laugh. "A god passing time with a game. What a waste - if it's real mind you - to do such a thing with said power."

"Altair...are you awake?"

"hm?...well now I am"

"Can I sleep with you?"

"Your a big kid, you can sleep alone"

"I-I know its just-"

"Fine, just make sure not to make any noise, I need my beauty sleep afterall"

"Really! Thanks Altair!"

"Anytime..."

His slumber was pretty deep and the teen merely slept on the bare bed. Sure it was cold, but he really didn't mind at this point. Knowing that Heidi was okay was good enough for him. He was upset that she was sleeping on the ground but he couldn't change anything at that point. During his slumber he heard what seemed to be somebody speaking towards the teen, but he merely thought of it as a mere dream. At this point everything felt like a mere dream, the sudden feeling of warmth and the feeling of another person right beside him. With a smile the sleeping teen placed an arm over Heidi and held her snugly.

A small amount of time moved on and soon enough the late sun rays caught the teen's attention. Twitching from the sunlight, Altair's eyes slowly began to open up "Huh what the?" Altair said groggily as he noticed his arm was around something. Pulling off the blanket, Altair's eyes widened upon noticing just what he had been snuggling with "H-H-HEIDI?" Altair said quite stunned.

Cristina woke up on her own that morning. No alarm, no random noises to wake her up, and most importantly no Tamora. She was extremely grateful that her new roommate was one with etiquette and common sense, both of which her previous one was lacking. She sat straight up, covering her mouth with her right hand as she yawned and rubbing her eyes with her left. Afterwards, she looked in Quin's direction, only to realize that she had been looking at her. Was she waiting for me to wake up?

Cristina tilted her head and smiled a Quin. Her speech keyboard was charging on the nightstand next to her, so she simply waved to her roommate to say 'hello' or 'good morning,' either was fine. She then proceeded to unplug her keyboard and then held it in her lap as she waited for Quin to speak.

Tyler slept dreamlessly for once. It was a calm and deep sleep that nothing would wake him from. He was out like a light. Nothing would wake him from it at all. Noth-
"H-H-HEIDI?
...Tyler woke up.
"Wha- What the?!" Tyler exclaimed, sitting bolt upright and glancing left and right realizing where he was. ...Yes. He'd moved to the dorm now, of course. That's right. And... the exclamation must be his room mate. Tyler recognized the fellow. It was Mr. Ubisoft himself. ...And... a girl? ...Okay.
"...Uh... I'm sorry to interrupt you two?" Tyler questioned. Well, he wasn't exactly interrupting more in that he was already here. ...Was Altair even the type for such a thing? Apparently so.
Tyler didn't mind what people did behind closed doors, that's their business... but um... in the same room as him while he was asleep. That was a tad more awkward. And so... Tyler just kept silent now, his eyes awkwardly shifting between Altair's and that of the no longer sleeping girl.

Zoey woke quietly and refreshed. Being able to sleep nude meant she'd been so comfortable, she felt like she was floating. She slipped out of bed careful not to wake her sleeping room mate, and dressed quickly into a pair of shorts and a shirt, before grabbing her running shoes. She also grabbed fingerless gloves just in case she needed the extra grip for climbing. She left a note to let Crystal know she was going out for a run and then she was out the door, shutting it quietly behind her. She already knew where the running track was thankfully, and she was good at memorizing routes, so she didn't get lost on the way.

...

On the track, everything was blocked out but the path before her and the music in her ears. She could feel her breath growing sharper and faster as oxygen moved through her body and kept her muscles working, her lungs pumping the life giving air around her easily. Zoey was proud of her stamina and physique. She'd always loved running and various other sports and right now, running like this... she felt truly alive. Nothing to do with the email or anything else was on her mind. Just... the track in front of her. But... already Zoey was itching for more. Being stuck to the track made her feel confined. She wanted to run free. This was not enough... "Time... to kick things... up a notch." she spoke between breaths as she soon left the track entirely and started running 'free' elsewhere.

xxxxxMarina waited patiently for Elliot to build up the courage to pick the cards. She closed her eyes and lay them out on the table in the exact order he had drawn. All the while, listening to him speak. He was nervous about all this. It was understandable. Not even she, a psychic, had begun to grasp the concept of death. Truly it was terrifying, but she had quickly come to learn over the years that death isn't the end of things. To that, she was grateful. Marina didn't necessarily believe in God or the bible, but there was some sort of afterlife out there somewhere and she embraced the idea of not being done.
xxxxxIt made this whole email situation a lot less scary as well. In her opinion, at least. Opening her eyes, Marina pursed her lips and grimaced. She glanced back up at Elliot and then down again at the cards. "See. They are the same. Still don't believe me, even though you watched me shuffle them and you drew them yourself?" It was the exact same hand as all the other times. 18 days she had been dealing the cards for herself, and each time this was the outcome. Now, with someone else picking them, they still came out the same. Their lifeline had been cut short, and the cards predicted death. They were running out of time. Eighty-two days. That was what they had left, along with all those other poor souls.
xxxxx"I would like to try and meet with the others from that list, along with any that may have been Bellhurst students. I have no doubt in my mind of the outcome, but need to see it myself anyways." Seeking them out would need to be done quickly. She needed to gather together all the facts as quickly as possible. It would save everyone time that way.

Heidi sat up in the bed groggily rubbing her eyes. She yawned glancing between Altair and the boy in the opposite bed. "Wh-what's wrong?" she asked sleepily. Her hair was a disheveled bed-head mess, and she scratched at the back of her scalp. The girl was still fully dressed from the day before, excluding the sweatshirt she had worn. Bangs hung at odd angles in her eyes and the blankets were only half covering her legs now. Altair was awake now, so she could finally get up, but something seemed to be off. It felt nice having his arm wrapped around her.

She stared at the roommate in the other bed blankly. What did he say? Heidi hadn't been paying attention in the slightest. What was the problem? Other than the fact that it was noon and everyone had still been sleeping, she didn't see one.

Things has suddenly turned to crap in a mere instant. Glancing back and forth from Heidi and his roomie, Altaair's eye suddenly began to twitch "well....what a beautiful way to start the morning" Altair mumbled very quietly to himself as he sat on the bed. Closing his eyes Altair merely let out a sigh and calmed down "alright first things if your thinking anything perverted...stop" Altair said as he began to piece out what exactly to say for the matter. Closing his eyes Altair placed both hands on the shoulders of Heidi "This girl here is my little sister, certain events have occurred and she will be staying with us for a good while" Altair said. He wasn't necessarily lying since the girl practically was his sister now after all thats happened.

Scratching the back of his head Altair let out an exasperated sigh "Heidi I don't want you sleeping on the floor alright? I am perfectly fine so don't you worry about me alright? Just relax and enjoy yourself alright? It calms me down" Altair said. Altair didn't mind the fact that she was snuggling with him, it was just the sudden shock of seeing her right beside him that caused him to react. Heidi couldn't stay in the boy's dorm forever and she needed a female friend that she could trust to take care of her.Shaking the thought aside for now Altair turned his attention to his roommate. "Anyways my name is Altair and I-" Altair began to say to his roommate but stopped mid-sentence Oh? aren't you Tyson?...no..Taylor...not that...TYLER!" Altair said pounding his fist onto the palm of his other hands "Ah sorry about that, but what a coincidence" Altair said with a grin.

{ Latest Tumblr Update Wearing OOC: Apologies if I miss something! }

How refreshing! The cool air felt delicious on the exposed parts of her overheated skin, but still she remained as bundled up as possible. The fever was fading, but that was no excuse to be careless. No, no, now was the time to take extra care of herself. Upon waking up, she decided that she would attempt a magnificent 'NICE TO MEET YOU' breakfast. Witches often paid tribute to grand spirits with prayers and in some regions large feasts. This would be her miniature version of that!...Err, not that her dorm mate was a spirit...hopefully.

She shook the possibility out of her mind and carried on merrily down the aisles of the student store. It was a lot bigger than she thought it would be in here...Rows upon rows of rather intimidating books for class, stationary, and school gear took up most of the diamond shaped room. Then, to the far left from the entrance, there were professional refrigerators, freezers and a section dedicated to snacks and quick foods. This pleased her, as she was able to find milk, eggs, sausage (maybe her room mate would like it?) pancake mix and some pasta for later.

Without wasting any time returning to her room, she paid for everything and literally skipped out of the door and back into the elements. The smell of winter frost filled her with energy as she traveled back to the girl dorms.

It was just reaching the afternoon before she was cooking up a mouth watering breakfast (brunch?) that she hoped Bronagh would enjoy.

Altair put his hands on her shoulders. Why did people keep doing that lately? It was weird. He called her his sister again. A warm feeling spread inside her and a small smile graced the corners of her lips. He wanted her to use the bed, disregarding how he might feel. It didn't seem right, but the subject was changed before schedule disagree. Maybe now would be a good time to go find Harley. He said the would do something together and quite frankly, things were weird here.

Heidi climbed out of bed and slipped her feet back into the shoes from yesterday, along with the sweatshirt she had been wearing. "I'll go. N-nice to meet you." she waved at the both of them before scurrying out of the room quickly. She ran her fingers through her matted hair, once in the hall, and frowned. It was a mess. She really needed a shower, but hated taking them. Leaving the room gave her an excuse not to bother with it for now.

Bronagh didn't shoot up like the last time she woke up, instead she didn't want to leave her bed. She kept her blanket over her head and her eyes closed, hoping that she could fall back into a nice dream, but she couldn't. Instead she smelt something which had her raise an eyebrow and take her head out from undercover and look around the room.
There she saw the person who was apparently her roommate, cooking. She sat up rubbing her eyes looking at her trying to recall the name because she knew it was told to her. After a minute she hit herself on the side of the head and remembered, Eleanora. It was one of the names on that list. No Bronagh don't do this.
Bronagh looked at the time on her cellphone and smiled, turning to Eleanora and saying, "Good afternoon."

It occurred to Tyler that he knew nothing of Altair and his family other than knowing his Grand Uncle, Mr. Heckles. Tyler had worked part time with Heckles on a few occasions which is how he knew the old fisherman. But either way... so this girl was Altair's sister? Well, that would make sense in a way he guessed. "Well, it's not like I mind. I mean... it is a guy dorm, but I was never one who cared about formalities such as school rules that much anyway."
Tyler couldn't help but sigh. ...At least people got the Ty part of his name right. Maybe he should just go by 'Ty' from now on. ...Oh?! HE REMEMBERED HIS NAME!
Tyler didn't know why he was this pleased. But it felt like a big deal that his name for once had been gotten right. "Yeah. Big coincidence, we were room mates at the... um... yeah..." he referred to the hot springs but didn't finish what he said due to the events that had happen. Altair knew well enough since he'd also been there. "And now room mates here," he said more cheerfully. "I'm glad I have someone I remotely know," Tyler grinned showing he was pleased with this turn of events.
"I'll go. N-nice to meet you."
The girl mumbled as she slipped outside. "Oh uh... Nice to meet you too, Um... Heidi?" He'd heard Altair mention her name before, so he slipped it in albeit feeling unsure. Albeit... she was then gone. So...

The air was catching her waist length hair and whipping past her face which made Zoey feel truly alive. She jumped walls, climbed drainpipes, slid down banisters and most of all she ran free. Zoey had made her way around various places on the campus looking for the best areas to truly maximize her full running potential and keep herself moving. At some point, now that she was away from the track, she'd sorta lost track of where she was... but she thought she must be close to... the boys dorm maybe?
She was approaching an edge, there was a railing. Zoey instead of slowing sped herself up and as she approached it, bought her arms down and used her momentum to spin over it and land on the other side before ejecting backwards and landing neatly on the floor. Sorta...
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" Zoey found herself asking. For she had literally just fallen from the sky and in front of a girl. ...Literally, if she'd descended a few moments later, she'd probably have landed on top of the girl, it was that close. Zoey's breathing was harder than before, but she had a healthy glow in her cheeks and her blood was still pumping from the adrenaline rush. Even so, it didn't hide the concern. "I'm really sorry. Really." she mumbled again between her breaths and panic.
