Altair as he nodded at Anthony's words and glanced over at Heidi. Watching Heidi nervously ask to go made the silver teen happy. Now he was definitely sure that bringing Anthony was the right choice. "Of course we'll go, sounds like a lot of fun" Altair said as he stood up.

Hearing the fact that Cherno would be there brought some form of relief to the teen. The last time he saw Cherno he was quite upset and something was off about him. Since Cherno was one of the few who he found the most respectable he wished to check up on the teen with his own eyes. "Hey Anthony have you ever ridden in a Lamborghini? Its really cool" Altair said as he grabbed the nearby car keys. With a grin Altair looked at the others "Well then lets be on our way" Altair said.

Lamborghini? Oh, he's heard of those. Apparently that's what the rich and fabulous people drive. Was Altair really that cool, or did he just know someone that was? Either way he was excited now, nearly bouncing in place as he shouted about how they needed to leave right now. He even ran out the door afterwards, going into the passenger seat of the car while he waited for the others. When they got there he buckled up and off they went.

Thanks to the car's speed, throughout the ride he easily pictured them flying in a spacecraft rather than a simple earthing car. All around them were asteroids and a monster of a ship followed behind them, firing lasers. Looking to Captain Altair he told him to hurry, though in real life they were bound to the speed limit. In his head, however, they entered hyperspace.

So they arrived at the station quickly, which was a giant floating community in the middle of space. And they were the first ones there, which was amazing but also worrisome. Where were there allies?

"Space train!" Throwing his arms up at the exclamation the boy ran ahead to look around.

    The Letter:
    Ash-
I've been meaning to tell you this for a while, I've known this ever since 5th grade, and it may drastically change out friendship, but here goes nothing....
I'm gender-blind, or as some people call it, pansexual.
You may think of it as bisexual, but pansexuality is different. I don't care whether I flirt with a boy or girl.
And I've told you this because I have a crush on you. I've had one ever since I figured out that I'm gender-blind.
You're a good leader, beautiful, and friendly, so it's no wonder I have one on you.
I hope this doesn't change our friendship a lot. I know you're straight, but I still wanted you to know
    Love Your friend,
    Lisa

Alyssa read it over in her room again and again.

"My stepsister and one of my only friends.... gender-blind?" She asked herself.

Then she checked the date Lisa wrote the letter:
    12-4-11

Alyssa remembered that was the day before Ash died in that explosion. Ash called in sick that day, so Lisa could never give it to her.

"Hey Alyssa," Lisa popped her head into the doorway.

Alyssa hid the paper and looked up, "Yes?"

"A few people I know are heading to the train for Brookridge right now. The Black Angels and I are going, wanna come?"

"But what about the Youth Music Contest?"

"Renee's mom works in Brookridge, she'll drive the band to the Rec. Center."

Alyssa hesitated, "Ok, I'll get packed up."

A few minutes later, Alyssa found herself in the back of her stepdad's car with Lisa and the other Black Angels (Piper, Ginger, Sophie, and Renee) with a suitcase at her feet.

"So.... Where are you girls staying in Brookridge again?" Her stepdad asked.

"At the Academy of Excellency," Renee replied, "Bellhurst is locked up, remember?"

"Ok. Oh, look, here we are! Frontier Station!" He parked his car in the lot, "I'm gonna get your tickets, you all can unload your luggage and hang out."

While the Black Angels chatted around the car, Alyssa walked around to find some people she recognized.

Then she noticed Anthony running around the station, and she had the urge to walk up to him and say, "Hi Anthony, umm... What are you doing?"

Bronagh walked back into her house shivering, because within the stress of the moment she had forgotten it was snowing outside and she wasn't wearing a coat. When she walked in however her mom was sitting on the couch staring at the door.
    "Where have you been?"
"Outside." she replied quickly, walking into the kitchen and grabbing my toast. she walked out and took a bite into it and spoke, "The earthquake uprooted Dad's tree. I fixed it up."
Her mother frowned, "You're still worried about that damn tree? After all it's gone through you should just let it die."
"Mom, the tree is only 5 years old. That's nothing compared to the life of a typical tree."
"Weeping Cherry trees are meant to be twice that height and much thicker. It's supposed to be the size of a weeping willow with cherry blossoms. It's weak, and not worth leaving the door wide-open and refrigerating the house!"
    "I didn't shut the door? I'm sorry, I thought I did..."
"You know what else you haven't done?"
    "Cleaned my room?"
"Unload the flipping dishwasher... don't worry about your room. You're dorming aren't you?"
"Shoot!" Bronagh yelled running up the stairs and pulling out her suitcase. When she heard about the dorming she was intending on leaving early enough. She had got distracted by the tree and now she was probably running late. Behind her, Bronagh's mom had followed and was leaning in the doorway.
"You know, Your aunt went to Brookbridge. She flunked out and had to go to a GED program."
"Relapse?" She shouted as she jumped up on my bed to pull down a poster she had of a unicorn on a mountain with wolves behind it.It was one of her favorite posters. She rolled it up and threw it in the suitcase.
"No actually. She relapsed after the GED program, it was her first time at Brookbridge." Her mom went into her room and brought out a stuffed animal... a giraffe. And held it up to Bronagh, "So you can remember me while you're gone!"
She turned around and gasped in horror at the animal and backed against a wall hyperventilating. "No mom... no."
"Pleaaaaase? Georgey wants a friend." She said waving the beast in front of her.
Bronagh glared at her, took the giraffe shrieking, and threw it into her bag. She did it only to make her happy, and was successful. She grabbed her coat and put it on and her mother tried to kiss her on the forehead, she backed away, "Don't be getting drunk at friend's houses... I can't come and get you."
    "How dare you!"
"I don't mean to offend you... but I can't do it."
"...alright... don't forget your cellphone. I got it repaired after you dropped it in that puddle." she grinned at me and laughed, "They upgraded it so you can check facebook and emails on it."
"Okay..." I said as I walked down the stairs, grabbed my phone and started to walk out the door.
"Bronagh... I love you." she replied standing at the door.
She didn't turn around or reply to her, because she didn't have to. She kept on walking and didn't turn back to acknowledge her, probably a mistake. But to feel better, she waved without turning around and kept walking down the street, checking her phone as she started walking towards Frontier Station,

She did not talk to Anthony very often, but he seemed genuinely nice. Aileen turned her phone off just as Brian had suggested. Now packing... She did not have enough of her belongings in the duffle bag that she had brought with her. Which means I probably have to go home and pack some more...

Although she had already been away from home for a couple of days, she still did not feel ready to face her parents. She didn't know when exactly she would be, but she figured that she would have to return home at some point. It was a weekday, so her parents would probably be at work until late at night. She probably wouldn't see them anyways. Mmkay, let's do this.

"Hmm...once you finish packing here, can we go over to my house for a bit so I can get more things?" Aileen asked. Brian probably wouldn't mind, but she wanted to make sure.

Cristina held her sketch an arms-length away from her to get a better look at it. Maybe if I do a bit more shading here...okay. She looked at it again. Good. She smiled as she signed and dated her finished sketch. Pulling out her cell phone she checked the time. I should probably get back before they begin worrying. She packed her things and stood up quietly, leaving the Cathedral.

Cristina took the bus back north all the way to the intersection where the orphanage was located. As she walked up the front steps, the icy wind blew into her eyes causing her to tear up. She immediately wiped it away with the soft mittens that she was wearing. Inside, the younger kids were running around like they always did. She took off her shoes and walked to the dining room to help set up for dinner. Already there was Tamora, who seemed like she was negotiating with Mrs. Kerring. Cristina walked towards them.

"Can we leave sometime this week? Please? I've already packed my things, Jeremy is almost done, and Cristina...she doesn't have a lot to pack anyways," she stated. Looks like really does want to get out of this place. Jeremy walked up to Cristina from behind and tapped her on her shoulder, startling her. She jumped.

Mrs. Kerring sighed. Tamora was clearly giving her a headache. "Can you please just wait until Jeremy and Cristina come down." Tamora pointed at the two. "Oh, you're already here," Mrs. Kerring gestured for them to sit down beside Tamora. Jeremy took a sip from the glass of water in front of him. "Would you two be okay if you moved into the dorms tomorrow afternoon?" He choked on it forcing Cristina to suppress her laughter. That's karma for earlier!

"Tomorrow?! I only have a few more things to pack, but isn't that too soon?"

"Please?" Tamora pleaded in the whiniest voice Cristina had ever heard. She looked at Jeremy then Cristina.

Jeremy thought for a moment and then agreed. Mrs. Kerring turned to her, "What about you, Cristina? What do you think?" So soon? I like this place though...I would have to pack right after dinner...and then discuss pregnancy things with Mrs. Kerring...but Tamora would give me hell if I didn't agree...and maybe once we're there, she won't be my assigned roommate anymore. Cristina nodded her head to show her agreement. Tamora put her arms around Cristina to hug her, but Cristina pushed her off immediately. Get away from me.

"Hmm...once you finish packing here, can we go over to my house for a bit so I can get more things?"

"Yeah, of course. But do you mind if we sleep at your house for the night? Then maybe we can head out in the morning?" He paused and casually walked up the stairs. About halfway, he halted and said, "I'm going to pack now. I'll try to be as quick as possible." Brian briefly made eye contact and smiled at her, then continued up the creaky stairs.

Soon enough, Brian had finished packing almost everything in his room. He didn't know how long they would be attending Brookridge, but he had to be safe. He carefully made his way back down the stairs, suitcases and carry-ons noisily falling down each step. He smiled awkwardly at his best friend as he reached the foot of the staircase.

    "Do you have an answer?"

xxxxxxxxxx Kallisti let out a contented sigh after laying back onto her bed. How comfortable . . . But for how long? Reluctantly, she had decided that she would go to Brookridge, and so she would leave all of this behind . . . It wasn't what she really wanted, but it was what had to be done . . . Of course, nothing was stopping her from coming back to her home, and it wasn't like she'd be away forever, but . . . From her case, Kallisti lifted her violin and brought it to her shoulder and chin, pulling the bow across the strings for a clear sound that resonated throughout her room.
Despite things, she really never had time to sit and ponder the situation she was in now. Originally, this had all been a joke to her, something that was silly, a waste of her time, but . . . Now, she had no time left. Less than eighty-five days were left. Her views on dying still hadn't changed, if it was her time to go, then it was her time, but she hadn't expected her life to be cut so short so . . . quickly. She sighed.

She wasn't afraid of dying, wasn't afraid of having her life taken away from her, but she was afraid of her life being meaningless, that no one would remember. Not even in her own thoughts did she pull out this card, it was a cheap one, but she couldn't help but think that she had been through too much to die for nothing. Her body had been made worthless, yes, the markings on her proved that, as did the scars inside her body, but her mind could still be of so much use to the world! She had barely even yet to love, though, yet to be loved . . . Yet to know what it was like to be sky high in emotion, to hit rock bottom. There was still so much to experience in the world - so much that surely one hundred days wasn't enough to let her see it all, do it all . . .

The music ended and she looked to her bed, just in time to see the light of its screen shut off. After gently setting her violin down, she picked up the phone and checked it. Ah, there was a reply from Cherno.

    Yo, Quin.
I'm uh-- well, I could be better.
Look, about Brookridge. I'll be attending the jive place, yeah.
In fact, why not meet up at Frontier sometime this evening so we can go take a look.
A few others will be there.
Namely because I need to inform you of something.
    - Cherno

It sounds like a plan. I feel Harley Jackson will be
coming with me, I hope you do not mind.
He is like a lost puppy, sometimes.
    -Quintus
Inform her of something? Something specifically, or . . . To address the group? She wondered who else would be going. Well, at least he was going to Brookridge as well. Wanted to meet up at Frontier, did he? She would certainly be there. But what of Harley? Ah, he would probably want to come, too, since he seemed to apt in not letting her stray to far from him. Bodyguard? How annoying . . .
. . . Maybe she didn't mind it so much, though.

xxxxxxxxxx Harley listened to the beautiful music that echoed from the upstairs. He leaned back in the recliner and closed his eyes, feeling at peace. There was no other player, no other music in the world that could make him feel this . . . comfortable, happy. With her music, the whole world and its problems melted away. This music, though, was dancing, angry, frustrated. Just by listening to it, he could tell Kallisti was deep in her mind, thinking out something of a serious nature.

    What was it, he wondered?
Just a few minutes later, Kallisti came down stairs dressed differently than before and he raised an eyebrow - was she going somewhere? " My, my, you look nice. " he commented with a cheeky smile, " Going on a date? " Though he really didn't like that idea - he was playing around, after all.

" You get dressed, too, " she said.

" Oh, this is a new development, " he began to tease with a raised eyebrow, " I didn't know you were into incest, Kallisti. "

At hearing her name, Harley expected her face to flash that same angry look she always had when she heard it, but this time, it was slight surprise, and that was all. Anyway, what did she want him along for? Earlier, she barely wanted him near her, but now this? Ahh, what a change of demeanor. " Oh, be quiet. " she told him, annoyed, " We are going to Frontier Station, to meet Cherno Plume and scout this . . . Brookridge Academy. You will be attending, too, I assume, so it was only right to invite you . . . "

Cherno Plume, huh? Harley wondered to himself how that kid's memory was coming along and if he had solved any of his issues. " That, and I wouldn't even think of letting you go anywhere alone, " he added, " Nope, not in your condition, not alone. " So a few minutes later, Harley came back downstairs wearing jeans, black Converse, a white tshirt, and a black blazer. " Am I fit to be seen with you, princess? " he asked.

In reply, she rolled her eyes, and pushed his keys into his chest, " You are driving. "

The two teenagers stepped out of the house after Kallisti wrote a note to Lee about where they would be ( though Harley doubted Lee would see it at all ), they stepped out into the cool, late afternoon air. Walking down the driveway, both of them hopped into Harley's car, and he cranked up some classical music for the both of them to enjoy. This genre of music was Kallisti's soft spot, so she would feel better through the thirty-or-something minutes to took to get to the station.

letters from the past | hawking's spacetime singularity

When Cherno had entered the post office, there had been a few letters waiting for him.

    To: Cherno Plume

    Dear Cherno,
    PIN #90423042

Enclosed is a debit card connected to the bank account of your Benefactor.
However, your Benefactor has imposed a limit of a monthly $300,000 only.
This should cover expenses regarding your tuition at the Brookridge Academy of Excellence, along with costs for food, education, leisure, and other possible investments.
Your Benefactor understands that you were to notify them beforehand about moving to Brookridge.
However, your Benefactor already received prior notification, and is now making arrangements.
In accordance to the new transfer, your Benefactor has begun the transfer of the items in your possession to the Brookridge Academy of Excellency.
All uses of the money provided by your Benefactor must be used in a way deemed suitable by your Benefactor.
If your Benefactor finds that the money is used in an unsuitable manner, access to the funds will be immediately terminated.
A deal must then be reached with your Benefactor.

Thank you, and have a nice day.

    Your Benefactor

-- This message has been sent to you by the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmaceuticals, Brookridge Academy of Excellency, Dated December 15

    Dear Student #9302

Enclosed is a small box that must only be opened when settling into one's room in the Brookridge Academy of Excellency.
Evidence of opening the box beforehand will result in immediate termination from the school roster.

-- This message has been sent to you by the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmaceuticals, Brookridge Academy of Excellency, Dated December 15
The first letter made him think about what sort of person his Benefactor could be, if he could remember their real self. But the second letter threw him into suspicion. An unopened box? It was a letter from the same people who sent him a copy of Temperance's letter. What was going on?
He did not have time to ponder them right now, though.
The first letter had still put him in shock. But the very fact he had Temperance's letter so close to his heart was a good thing. A wonderful thing. Did Cherno feel happy, sad, or confused? He had no idea, but as he ran up to the station and saw a few of the others, he called out. He did not immediately recognize some of the others. How could he? He barely remembered what they looked like -- save for Anthony, whom he shot a quick smile.

    Bing.
Ah, they were not here yet. He still was a bit shaky on this "Quin" person, but ah well. Harley, huh? At least it was someone he was able to tell the face of more specifically than in just a few memory tidbits.

"I can pay for the tickets, friends." He held up the shiny card that the Benefactor had given him and swiped it into the nearby ticket machine. He typed in the PIN slowly onto the touch screen, and after a few moments, the ticket selection screen popped up.

"Are we all here? Grab your tickets guys. We've got to leave soon, probably. The-- the sooner we're on the monorail, the better it'll all be." He was having second thoughts about telling these nigh-strangers about his amnesia.

Which ones were his friends and which ones weren't?

    ...

He looked at his phone, currently on sleep.

    "I--is, is John ... here?"

Despite her curious nature, she spent the time at the library staying close to John. Her fingers were still trembling from earlier and her mind was reeling with questions. Why had she gotten like that? This was the second time something snapped inside of her. Was this the effect of the magic she had used earlier? It was a very dangerous and powerful spell, after all.

They left the library rather suddenly, and John led her outside and to the bus stop. She had never ridden so many buses before, and briefly wondered if John had a car somewhere--and why he wasn't using it. Then again, not everyone had the funds...That made her wonder if she would be receiving a car for her sixteenth birthday. The thought of driving scared her a little bit.

They arrived at the station a while later, and she flushed again as John grasped her hand and led her off of the bus. He was right. She would definitely enjoy this train ride. She had never been on a train before, though she had always wanted to. She stayed quiet and close, gripping his hand tighter as they weaved through people.

xxxxxxxxxx It seemed that she and Harley were not the first people to arrive at the station, which Kallisti was a little disappointed for because she liked to be early. There were a fair few familiar faces - all from the e-mail, of course. Though . . . It felt like she hadn't seen some of them in eons. She decided that it was best to stick close to Harley, while seeing some of the others converse among themselves.

Ah, there was one face she wasn't really familiar with . . . A girl, with unnaturally pinkish hair and blue eyes. That overall effect reminded her a little of the Final Fantasy XIII character, Lightning Farron. Kallisti shook her head, this girl didn't look competent, nor like a good way to spend her time. Anthony, she noted, looked a lot more colorful than he had since she had last seen him, and she was glad for it. He deserved to be happy.

" Good evening, Cherno. " she said to him, bowing her head slightly. This was the first time she had seen his face since the auditorium incident - he had hated her then, she felt, but now there was something different about him. His posture was straighter, his face was clearer. Definitely something different, " It has been a while. Oh, you do not have to worry about our tickets, Harley and I will buy our own. "

She looked at the others, but kept her attention mostly on Cherno, as he said he would be telling them something on the train. " Who else do you think will come? "

xxxxxxxxxx There were already some other people by the time they had gotten to the station, and there was Cherno, rallying about the others. He picked Anthony from the group right off the back, " Hey there, Hero. " he said with a smile, " How've you been? "

He wondered to himself how all of these people had been since the hot springs incident. There was Heidi, too, " How're your scratches doing, kiddo? " he asked, looking at the little exposed skin for anymore damage that might have appeared since he'd last seen her, " I hope you're doing better. " There was Altair, too, but Harley merely nodded at him in acknowledgement.
Upon Kallisti mentioning tickets, Harley went to go buy both of their's before she could protest, and returned to Cherno asking a question in a small, nervous voice. " I - is, is John . . . here? "

Oh, right the religious one. Harley scanned the others and only found Alyssa, but no one else, " He's not here yet, but maybe he'll turn up soon. " he said, slightly reassuring. He wondered who else would come. " We should probably get a move on soon, if we want to see Brookridge by the end of the day. " It seemed that the way things were going now, they weren't ever gonna get to their destination, and he didn't want to be out in this cold too long.

[/url]Heidi got one look at the girl nearby and glowered. She grabbed Anthony by the bicep, dragging him away. Would he find it rude of her? The brunette shook her head, not caring. "Come this way!" The ride there had been exciting enough. She road in the backseat again and stared out the window in wonderment. The Lamborghini was incredible. Maybe she could convince Altair to teach her how to drive.

A familiar figure approached Anthony as they made their way away from the girl. It was that guy from the police station, the one Temperance wrote the letter to. Suddenly, she didn't feel as enthusiastic anymore. He looked nervous as he gave them their tickets. Heidi carefully took one from him and inspected it between her fingers. "I--is, is John ... here?" What was that? She barely heard anything.

"Uh...um...Ch-cherno, right?" She had been wondering how he was after reading the letter. Heidi had been hauled off before she could say anything. Did he hear her shouting in the hall? She looked up at him timidly. At first Cherno seemed to be in a cheery mood, but it changed after whatever he mumbled. "A-are you...okay? After the other day..." she trailed off.

Before they had left, she had run up to the bedroom to pack a few things, even though Anthony ran out quickly. One of them being Temperance's sweatshirt which was now over her current attire. Heidi begun to grow attached to it, and it was rather sad. She could never give it back to the cheerleader. She looked over at Altair, a bit melancholy. They were all her friends? Friends. It was a strange feeling, having friends. Never before had she been around so many people that wanted to be around her. Heidi held onto Anthony's shoulder. Hopefully, he wouldn't mind.

"How're your scratches doing, kiddo? I hope you're doing better." Harley's gaze made her uncomfortable.

She dropped her hand and shifted nervously. "F-fine..." He was another that was trying to be nice to her. He even saw her freaking out. Harley had tried to help and she ran away. It was for the best, unless you wanted us to come out. N-no. I don't want you. Heidi chewed on her lip, but was careful not to break skin again. Soon enough, he walked away to buy tickets for himself and the not-Temperance girl. She still didn't know her name. They really didn't look that similar, just long dark hair.

Heidi hoped they would be getting on the train soon. Then maybe they would be a little more spread out and she wouldn't feel so uneasy.

By the time Bronagh had gotten to the station, her feet were killing her due to her bag. Sure, she could have taken the bus, but the money she had on her was only enough for the train and for food if she decided to stop. She wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to eat if she had a chance.
She entered the station and passed through a couple mobs of people. She bumped into one person and shouted, "Sorry!" and helped them pick up the things they had dropped due to the collision. At one point she had to stop and wait in line for a ticket. The line was bit long so she started humming to herself.
One of the chords she hummed was from one of her favorite songs and she found herself starting to sing it quietly, "I'm fifteen for a moment... caught in-between ten and twenty and I'm just dreaming, counting the ways to where you are."
She kept humming thinking about the events of the day, when she got up to the chorus she found herself thinking of the email she had finally read the day before. She decided to open it up on her phone and started reading it, in the midst of the moment she found herself changing the words.
"Fifteen, whatever comes next I know it's a gift... cause I know I've got 100 days, to live."

Getting up from his nap, Alex decided to see if his mom had gotten up yet. She did, and had also saw to letter downstairs since there was a note right next to it.

    Alex
Read the letter, sounds like a great opportunity. I think you should take it.
    Love Mom.

How like his mom, always looking out for him. Maybe he would head to Brookridge, at least to check it out.. Grabbing himself a jacket before he left, he left his home and headed towards Frontier Station.

    [ LEVEL FIFTEEN - BGM14/3 - STATUS: PANICKED - UPDATE ]

Anthony turned his head to talk to the one that had greeted him, but his words were thrown together in a 'Whoa!' as he was suddenly dragged away. He was not exactly sure why this happened, but his thoughts derailed the moment he saw Cherno. Oh good, the guy was alright. The realization that someone without memories could end up very lost did not hit Anthony until now, which made him regret not going looking for the Master of Logic during the hot springs episode.

But before he could express his gratefulness to Cherno another had spoken to him. Turning he saw that it had been Harley, the hero of the springs. "Hi. I've been....fine." The delay in his response would surely make his lie obvious, but it could not be helped right now. Instead he just went on the train, fleeing from the gathering group of people after grabbing his ticket. This was a bad idea.

It's been ages since his Claustrophobia had given him any problems but now it suddenly hit him. There were just...so many people...in such a small place. Before just sitting in a car gave him problems but he obviously overcame that, mostly due to pretending it was something else. He could do that now, right? Just...Heidi was clinging to him earlier. Was she still there?

"Haha, what a cool thing..." Oh. He was so excited earlier at the thought of his first train ride but now it felt awful. It was getting hard to breath and his legs were feeling weak so he found a place to sit, waiting for the others to join him. Sure that meant more people, but people he knew and could distract him. "When are we going..." he continued, voice much quieter than before and still unsure if Heidi had even followed him on or not.

    serenade of subways | frontier

    He heard nothing from John.
Was he here? Did he not come after all. Ah.
Cherno deserved it. He was a terrible friend, after all. Making John have to text him a million times without reply. And-- and letting Temperance--

    ...

    Ack!
    What--

Oh. Cherno turned. It was Harley and ... and Quin, right? Ah! His best memory with her, hm-- she was a really good violin player. A very good one. He could remember the serenade. That's right! Those ... those horrible Bach jokes in her gift ...
"Hey there." Cherno said, putting on a mask of foxlike joviality. John wasn't here. "Buying your own tickets? Sure thing." Quin had turned to him and asked him about the others. Where did John go? Cherno looked down at his boots momentarily, before glancing around at the few others who were here. Hey. Was that Heidi over there?

"Uh," Cherno began. "I'm-- I'm actually not in the best sureness, you dig? People have invited all their little friends as well. I guess my little text spread around, huh?" Cherno chuckled, filling the air with a warm laugh. "It's getting late anywho, friend. Maybe we should all go some place after we look through Brookridge tonight, ya hear?" He scratched his head in contemplation. "I'm-- I'm pretty sure Brookridge has a bunch of nice restaurants. Or we could always just grab some coffee, haha."

He felt someone approach him from behind. He held up a finger to Quin, indicating a quick pause, as he turned around to meet the other person. My oh my, it was-- it was Heidi. Right. The young girl. The ... the one ... Temperance mentioned in that letter.
    Cherno's bandaged hand twitched.
"Heidi! H--hey, yo, friend." He snickered and closed his eyes. "Glad to see you came. Oh, and yo, Altair, buddy."
Cherno wasn't really fond of Altair being here right now. Something about the man threw him off key, as if he was hiding something.
Heidi asked him if he was okay.

    Goddamn.

What happened back in that room? Theodore left him alone. His-- his hand. He glanced at his bandaged hand. It was not in throbbing pain or anything, but it served as memento for his inability to control his temper. Was old Cherno like this? Altair even saw him. Smooth, Cherno, real smooth.

"I'm-- I'm fine," Cherno lied. "It's nothing. De nada. Forget about it, friend." He stepped forward a bit. "Did you get your ticket? The monorail will be here soon. There's a bunch by the machine I've paid for, so go get them soon."

    Where was John?

And was he really pulling off a full Cherno like the Cherno all of these people used to remember?

xxxxxxxxxx Ah, she didn't know Harley knew some of these people. It kind of bothered her; what did he know them for? Had he ever done anything bad to them? Her responsibility, as his cousin, was to make sure he didn't mess with any of these people. Their situations were already bad enough as it was . . .

It dawn on her . . . There were . . . a lot of people in this station, and when her eyes followed Anthony to the inside of the train, there were more people in there. In that closed space . . . Her body grew slightly shaky and she quickly closed her eyes to calm herself down. It would be alright, nothing bad would happen . . . Yet, her mind began to produce every single thing that could go wrong. She wasn't afraid of dying, no, she was, however, afraid of being unable to escape, and with that train moving fast, and so many people . . . The chance of someone escaping it was slim, at most.

A minute passed and Kallisti let out the breath she didn't realize she was holding. If Crestatia wanted to crash that train, wanted them all to die, then . . . then so be it.

Cherno had looked at her with a light of recognition, albeit a slow-to-realize one, and replied to her, but upon hearing it, something was off about him. He was . . . nervous? Eh . . . Maybe it was just her mind, picking at irrelevant details. She shrugged and turned back to the train. Her thought clearing up as she impulsively began walking. She needed to do this without thinking about it. One thing she did thing about, though, was grabbing Harley's hand and dragging him along. She couldn't do this alone.

xxxxxxxxxx Oh, he had almost forgotten - how? Alli was probably going to attend this academy, too. She'd probably like to see the place, so he brought out his phone and typed up a quick message to her.

Hey, me and a couple kiddos are heading to Brookrige
Hurry along, kohai, otherwise you'll miss the train
    - Your sempai, Harley-kun ♥♥♥
( I noticed you, btw, be happy )

He grinned at the message, satisfied with it, and listened to the small exchanged between Cherno and Kallisti. Cherno's attention left Kallisti a little too quickly, as if he were brushing her off and Harley narrowed his eyes slightly, but relaxed when he saw the other's attention turned to little Heidi. Ah, man . . . Why did all of these kids have to cause him so much worry? It was like Crestatia had a . . . a fetish for tragic teenagers.

Soon enough, Kallisti was dragging him along into the train. He was surprised; she remained unusually close to him throughout the time they had been here, and when Harley realized that there were more people than he originally thought, he sighed. Kallisti was claustrophobic, and had been ever since she was young. He didn't blame her, considering what she had to deal with. He sighed and let himself be pulled along, then pushed into a seat as she huddled up close to him. Unusual, indeed.

He hoped the others would hurry up.

Aileen nodded her head in response to her best friend, who was lugging his bag down the steps. She hadn't originally wanted to sleep at her house (because of her parents) but while Brian was packing, she found some things that she needed to discuss with her parents.

After retrieving her bag from the guest room, the pair got into Brian's car and drove to Aileen's house. Aileen dug her key from the bottom of her bag and unlocked the door. She turned the knob, pushed the door open and gestured for Brian to step inside.

There was no one inside, as she had expected. She took off her shoes. "If you want anything to eat, feel free to take from the cupboards," she said, "You know what, let's go there now." Brian followed behind her. On the table was a note from her parents. Aileen picked it up and put it in her pocket. She would read it later. She led Brian to the cupboards and grabbed a bottle of water from inside. Afterwards, she led him to the guest room. He looked tired so she left him there to rest.

Aileen turned the knob to her room. It was weird not being there for days. She stood at the edge of her bed and fell backwards into it. She sat up and got packing. Opening her closet, she found her ballet bag which was normally in her locker at the studio. Everything was inside of it. Aileen remembered the note in her pocket. She unfolded it and read its contents:

For Aileen. Staying overnight at the office. Your school sent a letter about relocation, but you might already be there...We brought your ballet things from the studio. The instructor said you hadn't been there in days...Love Mom and Dad.

Oh, thanks I guess. She finished packing and decided to write a note back to them:

Mother and Father. Headed to Brookridge with Brian. Please treat Alice like you used to. She's getting worried sick. I haven't told her anything. Just leave the issue. - Aileen

She folded the note and put it on the dining room table, where the other note was placed. She quietly opened the guest room door, only to see Brian fast asleep. She smiled. He looked so peacefully. She carefully closed the door to the guest room and went back to hers. She was feeling tired, so she got into bed and went to sleep.

It was announced at dinner to the rest of the kids that the three of them were leaving for school tomorrow. Some of the kids were disappointed, and others couldn't care less. After dinner, Cristina went up to her room to pack her things. Tamora walked in not long after.

"Oh my gosh, thank you for agreeing," she said to Cristina. Cristina continued packing. Just ignore her. Maybe she'll take a hint and shut up. But she didn't Tamora continued rambling on and on about things that she could care less about. It was giving her a headache so she took the nearest pillow and threw it at her. It seemed like Cristina's aim was improving, because it hit Tamora square in the face. She suppressed her urge to giggle and went back to packing.

Tamora was clearly offended. It wasn't like Cristina did not expect her to be. She tried throwing the pillow back at her, but with her weak attempt, it barely hit Cristina's lower back. Nice try. "Do you know what the best part of leaving here is?" she asked angrily. Her voice was beginning to raise. "Getting a friggen new roommate so I don't have to deal with you anymore!" Tamora smirked, as if she expected Cristina to be as offended as she had been.

Good. Nice to know we're on the same page. Cristina turned back around, smiled and folded the last outfit that she had to pack. Frustrated, Tamora stormed out of the room. Cristina thought for a moment. Perhaps I should just leave tonight. She didn't want to deal with Tamora during the ride tomorrow. She went downstairs with her bags and told Mrs. Kerring, who was reluctant to let her leave at first, but eventually agreed.

Cristina took the bus to the station. There were a bunch of kids already there. She spotted a few familiar faces. Namely, the boy that she had briefly conversed with at the resort the other day, as well as the girl who had fainted. Thank goodness she's alright. Before she could go up to any of them, they got onto the train. She followed them on.

Cristina walked up to the boy, tugged on his sleeve with one hand and pulled out her speech keyboard from her bag with the other. She typed, "Hello, I met you the other day. My name is Cristina."

John let his guard down a little on the bus. He vainly ran his fingers through his once immaculate curls. He felt hagard and wondered if he was looking how he felt. Time seemed to move slowly since she merely nodded her consent to his plan, but he was glad. It gave him a false reprieve. His thoughts were able to gather and store in his head. Cherno said he lost his memory. What kind of psych test was he trying to run on him. Whatever, John just needed to tell someone before he could be stopped.

He almost smiled as she helped him weave through the crowds coming and going into the platform. Her hand was a bit energizing so the thought of her and Cherno made him put a bit of pep in his step. Hold the fuck up. John halted them both, making sure to keep El in his vision, he critically observed the scene before him. Too many emailed kids in on place. This train would was a death trap. He promised her a train ride, but at this point it would be safer, leaving her with them. He didn't want to leave her. But the only reason he would have to worry is if they were on the train while C deduced that he was the rule breaker.

Sh|t. How could he tell them without them missing their trains, Cherno clearly showed his ticket. John frowned in concentration, it would make no sense for her to kill them all on this train. She would target him. So he could drop her off with someone who could turn her into child services and then he could seclude himself in the back of the train to keep them all safe once his message was heard.

Yes! He took a deep breath, gave Eleanora a squeeze and a smile and then walked up directly to Cherno, his face a mask of furious anger. "WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN!? God have mercy on your soul because I sure as hell won't. " He shouted loudly, loosening a can of drama directed entire at Mr. Plume.

    Damnit all. I'm crying again.

ooc question: Did the train arrive? I'm assuming based on recent posts, but only that.

When Bronagh finally got her ticket she still had the song stuck in her head, but only kept singing her made up lyrics in her head. It was starting to irritate her.
Come on silly, it was a spam email. Sure it seemed official and such but they do that all the time. It's an intentional scam. Stop over-thinking it.
She got tired of rolling her bag and picked it up, when she walked towards the train she started to recognize some of the faces, but she would not remember their names. Not because she didn't want to learn them but because no one really talked to her. Probably her own fault.
A couple of the faces, from her point of view, looked rather nervous and she couldn't really figure it out. She probably figured it was a post stress thing, after the odd earthquake eclipse. When she entered the train, she looked for an empty seat. She didn't sit next to anyone, but didn't distance herself. When she sat down she leaned back in the chair and pulled out her phone again, intensely examining the email.
"Now I'm just paranoid." she whispered as she felt a twitch in her neck and dropped her phone on the floor. She didn't pick it up because at that point she started rubbing her temples from a killer headache she received after the twitch.

Alex soon arrived at the station where he saw that he wasn't the only person who'd showed up. Guess were all going to the same place then. he debated with himself whether or not should he speak to anyone right now. Even if he didn't saw anything at the moment, he would still have the ride to Brookridge. Maybe I'll wait for a bit. Now having his decision, he waited to see if anyone noticed him.
