"Good Morning, Brian." Brian lifted his head as he heard a familiar voice from behind. His face, previously wedged between two pillows, looked to his best friend. "Hey Brian, what's this?" His eyes moved to the letter in Aileen's hands and he replied, "Oh, it's a letter from the Brookridge... Academy of Excellence, was it? Anyway, that's where we'll be going to school for now because Bellhurst High is out of commission." He nodded to Aileen as he stood up and walked behind her, peeking at the letter.

When the ground began to shake, Brian rested his hand on the coffee table right beside him. As he descended, he grabbed onto Aileen's hand so if she lost balance, he could support her. To make matters worse, the lights flickered off. He gulped and stared outside, watching Coy City tremble and shake. His eyes widened in amazement as he watched the sun slowly fade away. His head registered it as an eclipse, and immediately covered his eyes with his cardigan sleeve. He prayed Aileen would too so she wouldn't go blind. Solar eclipses were a rare occurrence, but Brian resisted admiring its magnificence. The duo were soon engulfed in darkness.

Beau finished off his bowl of oatmeal and moved to the sink. His outstretched arm quivered as the ground below him shook. He dropped the bowl and it shattered, some of the pieces puncturing his ankle. He bit his lip in pain as he collapsed to the floor. Pins of pain shot up his leg as he gripped it and squeezed.

Beau closed his eyes in pain. He didn't notice the power go out, or the solar eclipse. Warily, he opened his eyes and saw blood dripping down his ankle to the floor. It wasn't gushing, but it was definitely not a minor cut. As much as he wanted to, Beau stopped himself from pulling out the shards of the bowl. He'd seen too many teli shows and movies to know more blood squirts out when someone does that.

His whole situation was crazy. He was bleeding on his kitchen floor because of an earthquake, which apparently caused a power outage while, simultaneously, a solar eclipse progressed. What the fuck was going on?!

Matt stared at the scrunched up piece of paper in his hand, what to do, what to do. He really didn't know. He'd read it over and over and over so many times since it got pushed through his letterbox but he was still no closer to coming up with an answer. He'd only returned home a few days ago, was it the right thing to do to move out? His home had been damaged by the floods but it could still be lived in. However dorms could be interesting, a great way to meet new people and so so much potential for pranks. That would be awesome. Still he was divided. He needed to talk to someone. Badly.

He still didn't have anyone's number as he'd managed to lose all his contacts in a prank gone wrong a while ago and hadn't managed to get them all back. That meant if he wanted to talk, he'd have to do it the old fashioned way, face to face. He'd have to knock on their door and hope they were in. That was exactly what he was going to do. Grabbing his coat and crumpled letter in hand, he set off from his house, off to go surprise Zoey.

It was the strangest of journeys. It was fine, if a little nippy but he'd never really felt the cold that much so that didn't particularly both him. Then it got weird. It started raining and snowing, which was normal enough apart from the fact that while it did, it suddenly got really hot. Like to the point he was sweating and wanted to take off his coat, yet it was snowing. Was that even possible? Was he ill? But before he could figure it out, it got weirder. The ground started seriously shaking, he nearly fell. An earthquake? It wasn't just him being ill or something as he could see leaves falling as well as tiles off houses. Something was definitely up.

Darkness.

Had he gone blind? In this weirdness, he wouldn't be surprised. No, he could still see a little. An eclipse, something had blocked the sun out. Was this to do with the email? He had no idea anymore. He braced himself for things getting worse.

Nothing came. The sun came back out, the weather went back to normal and the world kept on turning like nothing had happened. Okay then. A tiny bit freaked out Matt, sped up and hurried up, the sooner he got to Zoey's the better.

With that in mind he was on her doorstep before he knew it. Just hoping she was in, he sorted himself out and calmed himself, he put his hand on the door frame to support himself in a flirtatious position and knocked.

Crystal began to lay down on her bed for some rest. However the weather took a dramatic turn. It first became overwhelmingly cold. She had to go to her closet and dress much more warm for the sudden change. In a near instant though, she had to strip the clothes she had just put on to stay warm, for the weather had now become scorching. "Is this the weather, or is it my mind? Am I still this damaged from the fall?" However once that was said, the earth began to shake beneath her. An earthquake of this magnitude here? It was definitely out of the ordinary.

Darkness then fell. It was no where near night however. Crystal went to the window to see what had happened. Now the sun had regained its complete fury of fire and heat to bestow light among the world "A Solar Eclipse? Was I gone longer than to weeks? No the calender says otherwise. What is going on?" No one was around to ask really. She was alone for now. Only Silver was with her, but that wasn't enough right now. "I am alone..."

John's face showed nothing but hopelessness. His dual colored eyes were nearly lifeless orbs in his eyes sockets. The tears fell unbidden as he found that he couldn't support himself any more. He had too many thoughts to take in all at once. He couldn't believe this. The bit of information he got and the price he paid was minutes of chaos! She was right, he was an idiot. His breath was coming in small short breaths, he felt light headed and woozy, and so alone and exposed. His head turn quickly to the left, then to the right, again and again. He felt paranoid and trapped, like someone would come and accuse him of all of this. Because it was his fault! He clenched his jaw and slowly his hands wrapped around his shoulders, the amount of comfort it gave his fluttering heart was useless. His tears began to flow in trails now.

So many things could be suffering right now. All the people on the list, the church with Mr. Shannery, his already wrecked home. He brought his gaze fully forward, to the young girl who housed a true Witch inside her. He thought he'd hate her, he thought he'd be outrageously upset and blame it all on her. Because she was the witch after all. A villain, right? Wrong. Hell the Witch inside Eleanora said it herself. He tried to use the girl to end the game and it blew up horridly. And literally. He opened his mouth, his chest felt so constricted and tight and yet he felt compelled to let loose the pent up scream that was contained within his chest. He didn't hate the girl. No, far from it, instead he'd keep an eye on her, he had to make sure that the 'vessel' couldn't be used without proper precaution. But that could wait, it could wait while he dragged his nails up to his skull and tugged furiously on his hair in wide eyed frustration. He closed his eyes tight and images of the destruction around him played before his eyelids, accompanied by the mockery of Enny's voice. It just wasn't fair. It all wasn't fair. This game. These bastards running it. None it was fair. And it just seemed so hard.

Who was dead now? Who was still alive but injured? Was his mother okay? Did he inadvertently kill her in this little stunt? No, no, she wouldn't target those not in the game just because of what he did, right? He hoped Cherno, Eleanora, Madeline were okay, were safe. He didn't want them to be killed for his mistake. He actually liked those despicable sinners. His heart kept pumping blood and his nose kept taking in oxygen so he kept living. But his mind was in a different place, a darker place where the world was a big ball of horrible demons and the witches that fucked with humans. And it was just not fair.

Moving to Brookbridge, huh? It would definitely give her enough time away from her parents and it wasn't like they wouldn't allow her to go. She had to continue with her education- that's what they wanted. But moving there would mean that she would have to leave her dance studio and transfer to one close to or on campus grounds. From what she knew, the Academy had huge campus grounds, and if she remembered correctly there was a Faculty of Arts. Perhaps she could negotiate with them about ballet. There would not be any other reason for her not to go to school in Brookridge. She read through the letter, then up at Brian. "I'll go," she said with a smile, "Are you?"

Before he could answer, the ground shook and nearly knocked Aileen over. She felt Brian grab her hand, probably to save her from doing so. The lights went out, and she looked outside to see what was going on. An earthquake, and a solar eclipse at the same time. "W-what's going on?" she managed to say as Brian used his cardigan sleeve to cover her eyes. Once the sun disappeared, the room was pitch dark. Aileen wasn't scared, but she was worried. It's one disaster after another, isn't it? This can't just be a 'natural' disaster.

When everything went back to normal, Aileen looked over at Brian. "Brian, do you think that she had something to do with this?" Aileen asked. She could never bring herself to say her name. It was either fear or superstition, but she could not tell which. She stood there waiting for her best friend's response, though, he probably thought the same as her.

Cristina stood outside the orphanage for a couple of minutes, thinking about where to go. The church? The ballet studio? I only have a few more weeks before I have to go back to school, so maybe I should explore more of the city... She decided to do so. She figured that there would be more places south than east, so she got on a bus that was heading south. She got off in front of the Downtown Corridor because it looked interesting.

But it wasn't as interesting as Cristina had wanted it to be. The stores underground were just plain boring and uninspiring. She decided to continue walking south. The streets weren't overly crowded, but crowded enough that people ended up pushing her around. She was petite, so this was not new to her. Cristina held her bag closer to her and tried to maneuver herself around people. Sometime while she had been making her way south, the number of people on the streets began to decrease, which relieved her. She sighed and looked around. To her right were different buildings. Boring. To her left, was a large cathedral. She smiled. It was definitely a lot bigger than the church by the orphanage. She stepped into the building and scanned the environment. There a couple of people quietly walking around the cathedral. The ceilings were extremely high. The architecture, as well as the art inside, were both beautiful. Feeling inspired, she sat on one of the benches and began drawing.

Tyler yawned. That was the first thing as he woke up.
"Tyreese!"
Then he heard his name. Except... it wasn't his name. Who the hell was Tyreese?
Oh wait... Tyler was still half asleep. Surely he had heard wrong.
"Tyreeeeese! Where-- where in gallivanting's name did you run off to, brother!"
Nope. He had definitely heard right... and then connected it. ...Why did people seem to keep getting his name wrong? Was 'Tyler' that hard of a name to remember? Sheesh. Anyway... Tyler pulled himself out of bed and put on a T-shirt over his bare chest before going to find Cherno.
"Yo man... what's up?" Tyler asked groggily while scratching the back of his head in his habitual way. He came into the room and noticed Cherno reading a letter. Seeing it was from Bellhurst, Tyler read it over Cherno's shoulder.
"Brookbridge Academy of Excellency huh? ...Well, I guess we got no choice. We can't just NOT go to school as awesome as that'd be." he shrugged while expressing his thoughts out loud. Although, he did wonder what other people would think about it. His mind wandered to Quin before remembering Cherno had still called him for something.
Suddenly, Cherno seemed to panic and start looking for something.
"Yo man Tyreese! Did you see some kind of little old letter anywhere, friend?"
"Letter? Can't say I have, buddy. I pretty much just showed you this room and told you to make yourself at home, and then you conked out on the bed right there. So I just left you to it." Tyler told him, and then realised the name thing again. "And it's Tyler, buddy. Not Tyreese. Come on Cherno. We go back a bit ya know? Am I that forgettab-" but suddenly, Tyler was interrupted by chaos. Suddenly shaking occured like a minor Earthquake, and then everything turned dark like someone had eaten the sun. "What the hell is going on?!" Tyler exclaimed, grabbing onto something to keep his balance.
Almost as strangely as things had started... they suddenly stopped, and light was restored to the world, and the shaking ceased.
...What the hell had just happened? "Hey, Chern. You alright, man?" Tyler asked him, shortening his name.

Knock knock knock!

Zoey stirred from her sleep at the sound of the knocks on the door. Zoey was and always had been an incredibly deep sleeper, so it should be mentioned that she just slept through the minor Earthquake and Eclipse etc and actually had no clue that anything strange had happened.

Sitting up, feeling the covers fall down around her bare midriff, she scratched the back of her head and let out a deep yawn. Who could it be at this time in the mor- she checked her clock... uh... okay. It's not as early as I thought. She sighed and she stood up, yawning yet again and headed to the front door. Peering through the peephole, she spied Matt and started to unlatch the door before realizing she was completely naked. She face palmed. As amusing as it would be to see his reaction, she should probably put something on. "Give me a sec!" she called out and headed to her room. She found a fresh pair of panties and a bra and quickly put them on deeming them sufficient enough and headed back to the door before opening the door. Matt had his arm propped against the wall and was trying to look rather... appealing and flirty.
Amused, Zoey folded her arms underneath her chest and offered a smirk. "Ah, my dear Matthew, to what do I owe the pleasure of your surprise visit?" she asked, putting on a fake and bemused tone, still completely not caring that she was only in her underwear in front of a boy (frankly, she didn't even see the significance).

Finally, but not soon enough, the quake ceased. Brian was still attached to Aileen's hand. He let go and wiped the sweat from his forehead. That was frightening, as every other damned crazy incident was. It made him think of... Crestatia. "Brian, do you think that she had something to do with this?"

Oh thank goodness she mentioned her first.

Brian nodded his head and replied, "I think so. I mean, there's nothing else that can explain it. Unless ****-" He immediately cut his sentence short. He remembered one of the email rules. He wouldn't even think her name. "Uh... anyway, yeah, I strongly think it's the work of Crestatia."

VIBBBBBBBBB!
Alyssa's phone was vibrating shortly after the lights came back on, she got it out and noticed she got a text from Anthony:
hey guys. you all have to of felt that right?
and the eclipse...
it seems over now but it has to be c right?
so checking in on everyone to see if you all are doing alright
-Hero Anthony
Alyssa responded to it saying:
Hello Anthony. Yes, I did feel that earthquake.
As for the idea of it being Crestatia's handiwork, I agree. But my stepsister probably is thinking that all of that was on surprise.
So yeah, I'm fine. No other supernatural occurrences here.
-Alyssa
After she hit "send", Alyssa walked back to the counter and finished preparing her oatmeal.
"Well that was shocking." Lisa said as she threw away her yogurt cup and walked to the piano.
"Indeed." Alyssa got her oatmeal out of the microwave and began to eat it.

Brian seemed to agree with her after all. He seemed as if he was going to suggest something else, but quickly cut the sentence off and went back to agreeing that she was the cause of all of this. She had been a huge impact on the entire city lately. The storm and the flooding and now the earthquake. These were costly. Aileen wondered how much damage the earthquake had caused. It wasn't huge, but it must of caused some problems somewhere in the city. She thought back to the email.

"What if someone else..." she paused for a moment and inhaled. "What if someone else died today, Brian? She doesn't come down here often to cause trouble for no apparent reason, right?" Aileen explained. She bit her bottom lip.

What if she...if she...got rid of another person...?

Darkness...and then a burning sensation pulsing up and down her spine. Her eyes snapped open and she gasped, taking in deep lung fulls of cold air. Her heart drummed violently against her chest and her stomach flipped suddenly. Nausea. Shakily, she pulled herself up onto her hands and knees and threw a hand over her mouth, eyes scanning the area desperately for a place to empty her stomach. Finding none, she forced herself with difficulty to swallow it back. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes. What happened?

She turned her eyes to John and sat back on the heels of her shoes. What did she do? Where was Simon? ...Did it work?

xxxxxxxxx❝...John.

What was that--?!

Her voice had a much blunter and almost shrilly tone than she was used to hearing from herself, so she shut her mouth and pulled herself a bit closer to the hunched up blonde. It frightened her. What was wrong? What did she do? Did Simon do something? Where was Simon? These questions flew around in her skull but she couldn't find the courage to speak again. She just sat there on the wet grass, holding her hands in her lap and trying to find a bit of comfort in sitting still.

xxxxxxxxxx Just as she was about to step out of the shower, the earth began to shake and she immediately dropped down to sit, covering her naked body in the shower case. An earthquake, here? No, there were never any earthquakes in Coy City, they weren't even near a fault line, or anything like that! She thought it was going to last longer than just a few seconds, but when everything stilled once more, she looked around the bathroom; just a few things had fallen off the shelf, but everything was in tact. She placed a hand over her chest and calmed down.

" Everything alright? " she heard from downstairs. Oh, right, he was still here . . . Why hadn't she kicked him out yet?

" I am fine! " she shouted back, sighing after, " Are you okay? " But that last part, she only said to herself. Sighing again, she stood up and wrapped a towel securely around her body and left for her room. About fifteen minutes later, she joined Harley back in the kitchen, where a wonderful smell had been flowing from. Breakfast, her favorite meal of the day, but he must have known that. She sat down at the kitchen island and rested her chin on her hand, watching Harley move around, humming to himself. It was strange, there was a part of her that wanted him gone, out of her life, but . . . there was the other part that wanted him to stay.

Her mind flashed back to the first night of being locked inside the school, where she had interacted with him for the first time in a very long time . . . She thought he moved out of town, out of state . . . But no, he was still here, still behind her. Watching her. Why did he come back? Oh, and those words . . . Were they really true? What she feared . . . Who she feared . . . Visibly she shook her head as Harley began to set food down.

" So, did you think anymore on that Brookbridge deal? " he asked as he pulled up a stool to the island, making himself a plate of delicious breakfast foods.

As she herself grabbed a plate, she looked at him. How surreal this was . . . " . . . I still do . . . not know . . . " she admitted quietly, " But if I do not go, I cannot graduate, so I feel I truly have no other choice. "

" That's the same for me. " he added, digging into his plate, " Guess we're still gonna go to school together. You think they'll have an orchestra? "

" I certainly hope so! " she exclaimed without even thinking about it. When she caught herself, her face turned red, " I h - hope so . . . "

The two ate breakfast and then assumed doing their own things. Perhaps they could do something together, later, Harley suggested, but she wasn't so sure.

She, she, she, why can't you refer to yourself as your own name? Ah . . . I did not know I was not. You have been, and it's kinda annoying.

Kallisti. She breathed. Kallisti. It's not so bad, is it?

. . . No, it is not.

Aileen's comment startled Brian. He... hadn't even thought of that. He wondered on who it could be. Maybe it was someone he didn't even know. At the hot springs, he saw many new faces. He figured those people don't check their emails very often. Maybe it was one of them. Yeah... yeah, it wouldn't be someone like Quin... or Cherno, or Anthony, right? Of course not, they were all smart and resourceful people... in one way or another. But still...

Brian shook his head. No no! "I don't think anyone died... at least I hope not," his expression was solemn, but his voice rang of disbelief. "Do you really think someone died?" His head was titled slightly at his best friend. Brian wondered what she truly thought. Did all of these experiences really make her his negative?

No, it wasn't negativity. More like realism, something Brian apparently lacked. He sighed and looked into Aileen's eyes, trying to decipher what she would say next.

His shoulders shook as he struggled with regaining some grip on sanity. His stomach hurt, his heart ached and he couldn't get rid of the guilt he was feeling no matter what he thought. Finally despite the tears still flowing and the last tremor leaving the city, John's first sight was the ground he knelt on, and an uncomfortable looking Eleanora. He should do something with her. Whether he liked it or not, he was not the only one affected by his action. And maybe he could find redemption if he lived long enough to find it.

He rose up to his own to feet, shakily. He had to assign himself something or he'd get lost again. So he focused on the imperative. Giving out the bit of knowledge he learned and protecting Eleanora. John had purposely broken a rule. He could feel paranoia creeping up his neck as the tears began to dry on his cheeks when she spoke his name. Protect Eleanora, spread the word. Now he didn't want to risk getting her killed, he needed to keep his wits about him, at least until he was cleverly killed. He prayed to the being that protected him at Lacey's and and even asked Enny to protect her vessel before he directed his gaze to her small sitting form. "Things didn't go as planned ...I need to get to a computer. And we should head inside. When stuff like this happens, people forget their sense."

He felt like any further talk would be a waste of time so he took her hand in his and began to tug her towards the cathedral, he needed to get his things.

Matt raised his eyebrows as Zoey came out wearing, well not very much at all. Damn. To say he was the master of getting reactions out of people, Zoey wasn't bad at it at all. Although this was quite typical for Zoey and he wasn't at all that surprised. This wasn't the first time she'd answered the door wearing only her lingerie. She did have the body for it, to say she was only 14, damn, she was pretty hot.

"Hey Sexy, looking good, though I must say you're wearing a bit more than usual, getting self-conscious?" He asked, gesturing to her attire, "And what's wrong with wanting to come round and see a very sexy girl? I don't have your number nor any way to contact you, so to get to talk to you I had to come round and see you and damn am I glad I did." He grinned, his ever so cheeky grin, there was nothing wrong with a bit of harmless flirting and Zoey was as used to it as he was to her willingness to shed clothes.

"I was hoping I could talk to you anyway, there's a few things on my mind that it'd be good to talk about, like have you got the invite to go into dorms?" He asked, holding up the crumpled letter in his hand. "Also something really weird is going on, like did you notice the earthquake, eclipse and weird weather earlier? Either the world couldn't handle your sexiness or something majorly strange is going on. I think it might be to do with the email but that's only a guess. Still, could you spare a little bit of your time for me? Or are you too busy being jaw-droppingly hot?" He asked awaiting her reaction.

As they walked back to the Cathedral, she took in the bits of destruction. Fallen trees...ambulances rushing by every few seconds. What happened? She didn't do this, did she? Her knees felt weak again, but she continued to keep up with John. His hand was warm and it brought her a bit of comfort. Still too afraid to speak, she kept silent and tried to keep herself from bursting out into tears.

She waited for John by the steps. He told her he was going to get his things, and that they were going to leave. Quietly she had murmured that she still wanted to go home, and she was both surprised and relaxed when he actually agreed to take her back. Simon was angry with her...He did not like her 'pretending' to be a witch. He just wanted a 'normal' little sister. Eleanora could not help it though. You cannot escape destiny, after all.

The walk to the bus stop was quiet as well. ...Until...

xxxxxxxxx❝...John...What happened?

Her fingers remained grasping his as they waited for the bus that would bring them to their street.

John hastily packed his things when he arrived. Not even stopping to say goodbye to Mr. Shannery before he went out the door. It was a bit difficult to do with one hand, but he fired off a text to his mother and winced when he saw his past messages to Cherno. He shoved his phone into his pocket while making sure he still had enough cash for fair. His cigarettes and lighter were safe and his grip on Eleanora's hand was secure, it made him breathe marginally easier. She felt so cold, his grip was even warmer. His gaze kept sweeping up and down the street they stood on as they waited for the bus.

His posture was tense as he stopped moving his head but kept his eyes and ears open and peeled. He had to get a message out. Meeting with everyone was too big a risk. But meeting one person seemed safer. However, two people would be the safest. She could posses one person, but she couldn't possess two, right? As long as they protected this girl and got this information out, he could leave her in another's safety until he said his goodbyes. Jesus this bus was taking a while. He sighed and began tweaking his plan. That is until she spoke.

"A bad lady didn't like the person I had you summon. So she messed up the city till I stopped. Don't you worry though. You handled the person I wanted you to call with ease. You must be a very strong witch. I'm jealous." He had sweat on his brow, a bit warm it was, for winter. He had them paid and settled on the bus solemnly.

He wiped his brow with his free hand while watching her with a patient expression, but internally hoping she would keep it at that one question. Jesus take the wheeeeeeeel. Take it from my haaaaaaaaands. The was pretty fast, like Coy City's news team. He nervously used to waited on her reply, it wasn't soon before long that they were a being dropped off at the same stop they were dropped off on the day of the hot springs incident. After that it was a short walk to their homes.

{OOC: took fo'eva to get caught up Wearing!! Day 15.2}
Heidi managed to pull herself off of the bed and began tearing through the stacks of clothes. They were all too nice, too fancy. Why would the old man get her things like these? It had to have costed a lost. She shook her head in dismay. There had to be something normal to wear. Picking up a tank top and a red sweater, Heidi finally managed to settle on something a little more low-key. This was all too much.

She stared at her reflection in the mirror above the dresser. The scabs on her neck were still visible, but the ones on her arms would be hidden by the sleeves. That made her smile slightly. At least there was one less thing marring their opinion of her. What does it matter? You look terrible regardless. N-no...do I really look that bad? Of course. Why does it even matter how you appear? It's not like they'll think any differently of you. You're just the strange girl Anthony saw scratching herself profusely. You're just the crazy girl Altair has caught screaming and ripping out hair and has had to free from the hospital twice. N-no...they don't think that. Don't they?

Heidi pursed her lips, trying to hold back a small sob. She had managed to find a hairbrush and began tearing through her brown locks in the mirror. She hated mirrors. Aunt Stacey always made her stare in the mirror-- to reflect upon the person she was. Heidi hated it so much. Halfway through a stroke, the brush got stuck. Her hair really was knotted badly. It had been an extensive amount of time since her last proper grooming. Heidi yanked down on it hard, and choked out a broken sob. "Ow!" It hurt, badly. Her eyes watered and and a teardrop trickled down her cheek.

She sniffled and continued to brush through at a much slower pace. Her eyes wandered to the door and thoughts of the people downstairs. Why was Anthony here? She was pleased to see him, since he left so quickly before, but that was just the thing. He left. He was happy they could work together, but then he melded with the crowd-- eventually fading away all together. Had Altair invited him? Why didn't he tell her? How did they know each other-- from school, or was this more about the letter?

Smoothing her fingers over the soar spot on her scalp, Heidi sighed and decided her hair would have to do for now. It appeared to be in a relatively better display and that was good enough for her. She moved towards the door, but hesitated. Her body kept her from coming any closer to the outside world. She had run away so embarrassingly. Maybe Anthony would be just as repulsed by her and her mind as everyone else. Why is Altair the only one that seems to not mind. Because he doesn't know the truth, deary. You haven't told him what you are, or about us. You haven't told him what you've done. I didn't do it! You did! Sure. Whatever you say.

She shook her head again, trying to rid herself of their badgering. It was already starting to build. She needed something, soon. Heidi could hear their voices from downstairs as she approached the top of the staircase. The small girl cleared her throat as she grabbed onto the banister and began her decent down the stairs. "ah..ahem...uh...h-hi." Heidi glanced down at her feet as she reached the bottom step, not looking up at either one of the boys.

Aileen shook her head at Brian's question. It wasn't that she thought someone had died- she definitely did not want to think that- she just needed reassurance. Everything that had happened over the past two weeks had made her very cautious and somewhat paranoid. Her family issue had narrowed down the number of people she could trust down to one. Her best friend. She could trust Brian.

"No, it's not that. Sorry for asking such an odd question," she apologized. Aileen sat down on the couch and relaxed a bit, letting out a deep sigh. She was becoming overly stressed, partially due to the fact that she hadn't been able to dance in days. I'll probably dance again once I move into Brookridge. She looked back at the letter that they were talking about before, then back at Brian. "Should we start packing?" She suggested, gently waving the letter in the air.

Home sweet home at last! Her heart filled with warmth as John and herself walked up to her porch. She pulled the backpack off of her shoulders and dug through it for her keys, brushing her fingers up against Simon's cell phone in the process. She did not know what John meant by 'bad lady', but calling her a powerful witch...well, she would be happy off of that for quite a while.

Twisting the knob to her home open, she took in the familiar scents and breathed out softly. The static of a television could be heard coming from upstairs. She would have to confront Simon, wouldn't she? Her shoulder still burned from his grasp.

Once her shoes were off, she dragged the backpack from the doorstep and set it against the wall, spotting an envelop on the floor from the mailbox slip. She knelt, seeing that it was addressed to her, and ripped open the top.

...Brookridge? Dorms? Was the flooding really that bad?

With a sigh, she handed John the letter.

xxxxxxxxxDid you know about this? ...Are you going?

The last part was said a bit shyly. She set her umbrella into a corner and stretched with a quiet yawn. Then, timidly, she turned.

xxxxxxxxx...Thank you very much for bringing me home, and...staying with me up until now. I'm glad I was able to help you.

He smiled down at her. She seemed happy as she entered the quiet, cold and empty house. John stood in the door way, he let her have her moment. His head had a slight ache and he was too tired to point out what was wrong with her. That and he was a smidgen scared of this cutie. When she turned around to ask him about the letter he nodded that he knew about it, he even told her that he was attending when they were allowed to go home.

She was thanked several times until he realized what he was saying and closed his mouth immediately. He glanced behind him as he spoke. He detected that she was trying to leave him and go back to living in this husk of a home. He couldn't leave her here to eat sticks and steal very expensive looking clothes so his mind conjured up a meager amount of options for them to stay together. Brookridge Academy of Excellence. There was no way she could get there alone. He still couldn't figure out how child services didn't know about this quirky weirdo. He had to focus before she lost interest or something crazy happened. He turned to check if the coast was clear behind him before speaking to her.

"You did me a very big favor, and I owe you for it." He rubbed his chin as if he was actually considering something before he spoke again. "It looks like your folks don't have a car right now," he gestured to her driveway. Empty. Good. It gave him a smirk that he quickly changed into smile. "I can get my mom to take you with us when we move to Brookridge. You can even come with us after asking your parents now, and we can be the first to take a trip to check out the dorm rooms. It will be a little adventure! I can tell you stories about the Jews, and you can tell me if they were a spell or not." Haha blasphemous, witchy, fun. You are clutching at straws, but hopefully Jesus has the wheel, and is steering things John's way.
