Elizabeth had found the house of the fiends who dared to break in to her house. It was easy, as she's been here before. It was the Williams' Household, and say about a block from Brian's house.

She had been watching it for a little while and it did not take long before it was obvious that the parents were out, leaving their sons, David and Adam, home alone. How convenient. Now she just had to put on the gloves she bought back at the clothes store and finish this.

It was rather easy, they even invited her in. They moved to the living room to chat, hiding their monstrous selves. Maybe they found it to be fun, acting so innocently as they spoke casually to one of their victims thinking she knew nothing. Yes. This was a game, wasn't it? A much smaller, simpler one than the one she was forced into but still a game. One which she was going to win.

Pulling one of the pillows on the couch on to her lap she slid out the gun under it. Not only did it hide the weapon but if TV was correct, it would act like a silencer was well. She only needed to wait for one of them to leave the room, but when that wasn't happening she requested a drink. The gentlemen Adam went to fetch it.

Standing now she moved over to David who sat on a nearby chair, holding the pillow in one hand and the hidden gun in the other.

"You really shouldn't have broken into my house."

Surely he went to say 'what are you talking about?' but never did he get to finish that sentence. Then, on her way to the kitchen, she ran into Adam. Now he didn't even get the chance to even begin a sentence. Though he did look a little confused, perhaps after hearing the noise. Didn't seem that loud though. Was it loud? It couldn't have been.

Still, now paranoid others would be drawn to the house for whatever reason, Elizabeth exited and started back for the stadium.

Finished with breakfast Anthony began staring at The Prince. He wanted to send his thoughts to the only other male in here so he did not have to speak outloud, but so far there was no reaction.

Had he equipped an item to block out all mental signals? Maybe that was what the scarf was for.

He kept trying though, staring harder and harder until his head began hurting. At that point he put his head to his temples to increase his focus but there was still no progress. What about leaning in closer? Nope. No good. Keeping one hand on his temple and putting the other on Brian's forehead?

Yeah, this should work. If it didn't he was out of ideas.

Altair released a sigh of relief when he heard the situation did not involve the old man, but that moment of relief did not last for long. After listening to the rest of the girl's words he calmly glanced at the girl."another one of Crestatia's chosen...how interesting" Altair said closing his eyes with a little smile. The prospect of more members hadn't really crossed his mind and he began to wonder just how many people were involved with the game. Was the old man a part of the game?...and then for some reason Altair could only imagine the old man bitchslaping Crestatia....with sunglasses and a cigar on....oh dear lord his head hurt.

Opening his eyes Altair was about to continue his discussion, only to pause the moment the door to his room opened up "huh? oh hey Temperance I....how...interesting" Altair said letting out an awkward laughter in order to hide the shame of being related to the two situations that he was being told about. Temperance was one of the last people would expect to visit him, but at least it was nice of her to do so. Excluding the painful kick he received from her, Altair never really felt any negativity to her. She never did anything wrong to her so why should he hate her?

"Ah almost for got...Temperance this is Heidi, Heidi this is Temperance" Altair said as he smiled. Though he would have liked to talk about Crestatia with Heidi, it would have been impolite to talk about it with Temperance just entering. It was only yesterday that they decided to kill Abby and Crestatia made her appearance once more. Talking about it and awakening uncomfortable feelings would be insensitive. "so Temperance, if you don't mind me asking what bring you here?" Altair said to the girl.

When she finished, she stood and sighed softly. She thanked Brian for breakfast, under her breath, and shimmied away from the table. Once she realized yet again that she had no where to go or any method of transportation, she asked Aileen to borrow her phone. She stepped back into the now-empty kitchen and made the quick phone call that would hopefully change her situation. Her voice was hushed and drowned out by the occasional chatter from those at the table and she was grateful for it. Despite these recent events, she was still a very private person.

After the call, Madeline decided to write up a text to Kallisti--who was luckily in Aileen's phone.

She left out the part about considering her a friend, and hoping she didn't die; deleting the message from Aileen's sent folder and returning it to her with a thankful nod.

"Well, I'm off. Thanks, Brian." Maybe he wasn't that bad after all. Maybe. Without waiting for acknowledgement, she went into the bathroom and changed quickly back into her still-damp clothes, went to the front door and slipped on her shoes.

The cold hit her like a cement wall. The dark clouds swirled and sailed ominously through the gray sky. She shivered, and wrapped her arms around her waist as she walked about a minute to the curb. His apartment was about ten minutes away, she figured he wouldn't be too long. He didn't often keep her waiting.

"nice to meet you." she glanced over to younger brunette once more. She looked familiar, but couldn't place it. Temperance moved her gaze to Altair as he asked what she was doing here. ha!. She rolled her eyes and moved further into the room, leaning against the wall opposite his bed and inspecting her nails. "don't flatter yourself. I came here for me. It has to be a coincidence. Or...well you know. Like I said, the doctors down the hall were being gossipy."

she sighed and flicked something off her nail before returning her greens eyes to him. "I just figured that if you were here, I thought I'd see how you were doing, after yesterday.". Her voice was flat and almost sarcastic. Visiting people in the hospital wasn't like her and now she wished she had just left, but there was no where to go. She couldn't stay here after all.

    ****

Heidi remained silent while Altair introduced them and temperance spoke. She was kind of rude. The young brunette triggered with her hair some more and risked a glance back at the rude girl. She was from school too, that was for sure, but she couldn't remember where at school she knew temperance. Heidi didn't really know what to do. She needed to escape, but now there were too many witnesses. There was so much she had to learn. It was already the tenth day. Only ninety left to go.

that wasn't much time, but she was okay with it. Then she wouldn't't have to be locked up anymore. This C person was actually setting her free. Heidi really hoped it was real. It would be better, but maybe not everyone was as open to the idea as dying as her. She would have to show them that it was okay.. what does it matter? You don't know them. But they should be happy. Not sad. Screen's. Let'em suffer. No! I can't! I can't. "stop it! Leave me alone!". Heidi began rocking in the chair, pulling at the hair on her scalp. They had to stop. They couldn't bother her while she was talking to people. They would find out. Call her crazy. She hates being called crazy.

"stop it! Just leave me alone! I want to help them!" her eyes were shut tight and her teeth were clenched so tightly her jaw began to lock up. "just stop..." she whispered and a small sob escaped her.

When the familiar silver Lexus pulled up on the curb, she had to take a few steps back to avoid getting splashed with water. Her eyes narrowed, but she wasn't sure anyone could even see her glare. The windows were tinted. She made a move to open the door to the passenger's seat, but heard a muffled voice direct her to the back. She rolled her eyes but complied, climbing into the car and buckling herself in.

    "What even happened to you?"

"Don't." She didn't want to hear it, especially if it wasn't just them alone. Reuben perked and eyebrow, muttering something to the male in the front seat, and then flashed her a cool smile after.

They weren't on the roads long before he asked her where exactly she wanted to go. He was busy tonight. He offered her stay at his apartment, alone, but she would have to leave later anyway.

    "I need a job."

Her voice was strong, but she felt nervous. Her stomach was doing back-flips, but she didn't know what else to do. She didn't want a standard job. She wanted one that would pay well, but didn't demand too much out of her schedule. Not that she had much of a life or anything. She needed clothes. She needed a new phone. She needed a car.

    "How badly?"

His friend laughed. She flicked a gaze at the stranger before directing her attention to outside in an attempt to distract herself.

    "...I really...I really need one."

And of course Temperance was one that could not be spoken to kindly. Raising an eyebrow he just stared at the girl "...I'm flattering myself?" Altair said confused and suddenly began to chuckle "looks like you misunderstood, I wasn't implying that I believed you came here just visit me, just curious as to why you were in the hospital in the first place" Altair said as he closed his eyes with a smirk "seriously that haughty attitude of yours will be the death of you one day dear little Tempy" Altair said. Despite what he said, he said it in an extremely nonchalant way.

"But either way whether you wanted to or not I really appreciate that you decided to check up on me and for that I thank you" Altair said with genuine gratefulness. It felt nice to have company that did not make him unleash his rage.It was nice until the sudden sound of a sob reached his ears. Glancing over at the source of the sound he glanced over at Heidi. "hey Heidi are you alright? Whats wrong?" Altair said

The doors of the subway train opened.

Funny. Cherno had been the only one in this particular car. Was it this particular train? It was getting late, after all. And he was so, so far from everything - far from the other ones at Brian's home. Far from his own home. Hospital Station, called the voice. Hospital Station. As if taunting him. He slinked out of his seat and quickly stepped onto the platform. The doors of the empty train slowly slid shut behind him, and rushed quickly back into the tunnel, sending debris, dust, and paper scattering around in the turbulent winds of a then-departed subway train. Cherno's robes blew around in the dusty uproar.

It was getting late. Could he make it to the hospital on time? The station was only a short walk from the largest hospital in the city. He was bound to find something better than his normal painkillers there, right? But he yawned. Did they day already pass by so quickly?

He looked at his bandaged hand, and took out his phone from his pocket. Still indecisive in regards to whether or not you should reply to Temperance, huh? Oh Cherno. It definitely was a bit late for him.

He looked at the nearby benches. The station terminals were surprisingly clean -- at least, for what subway stations could be. It was fitting considering how this station was right next to an institute of sanitation.

Maybe he would go get them earlier in the morning. The lines must have been long tonight. Not to mention his problem wasn't even that serious.

He stepped towards a bench and laid down, looking upward at the elegantly painted marble ceiling. The entire station was designed like a Greek architectural fantasy - black and white marble floors, engravings, elegant pillars, and bright paintings on the ceiling resembling the Sistine Chapel frescoes. It seemed a bit too extravagant for something like a train station, but for all Cherno knew, Coy City could very well be their very own Moscow.

He slipped a few painkillers into his mouth and gulped them down. Just take some rest, Cherno. Just some rest. Everything will be okay. God, you feel like a bum.

And with that, Cherno's eyes slowly closed as he fell asleep on the subway bench, alone.

It was impossible for her to stop wiping her hands on the way back to the stadium. They were blood free and yet over and over she wiped them on her pants or shirt. It wasn't too repetitive though, as she was also trying to hide the fact she was even doing it.

Didn't she thought to herself earlier that it hardly mattered if she was caught? But now...getting caught meant this would end. If this ends there will be no more killing. No more killing equals no more fun. No more fun no more reason to live.

No. No she was doing this for Anthony, not for fun. Hehe...but it really was fun. Especially considering the fact that she never done this before and yet she felt as if she was rather good. Though the fact she had been staying miles away from either scene helped. Last one was closer though...too close...

    Haha.

Once back at the stadium it became apparent that they all could be killed off and it would be fun. Most looked depressed. She could save them! Some were rude and cruel. They would have it coming. Who needed a reason though? It's so much fun...

But for now she would have to stay on mission. Already it was obvious that without this focus she wouldn't have functioned so...perfectly. She would have messed up, gotten dirty. Gotten covered in blood. Gotten caught.

Finding an empty spot on the bleachers was hard but when she finally got one she laid in it to rest, smiling all the while. "I do this for you...baby brother. So please be happy." She uttered to herself before drifting off.

Anthony missed Brian's reaction, so he was unaware if it was weirded out or just annoyed. Well, whatever it was it became obvious that this wasn't working, that he needed to talk out loud now. So he did, asking for some clothes to borrow and to use the shower. Both were answered with a yes.

Smiling he made his way upstairs with Brian, since he needed The Prince to tell him where his room was and to find out which clothes were okay to borrow in case some were not. After that he left the crowned boy in his room and headed to the bathroom. It's going to be so good to be clean again.

Smell reduced to zero! Aha, this way it would be easier to talk to people without having them become disgusted and walk off. Wait, that was the Sims, not real life. In real life everyone smelled. Slaying monsters did that after all, with the guts and stuff.

    Ew. Guts.

Shaking his head after making a 'blah' sound he finished his shower, got dressed, and returned downstairs. Another night on the couch! ...How was it night so quickly. Did they not just have breakfast? Breakfast all day? Lame!

"Boo!" He shouted, displeased, as he jumped to the couch before nuzzling in it. Though to him this was a guest chamber in The Prince's palace, therefore it was the softest bed he's ever laid in. He did not even have to wait before he was completely out cold. However, once out it seemed that an evil witch had decided to mess with his dreams.

Her spell plagued him with visions of deaths that one could not come back from, dragons who were viciously slain, possible romances lost before they even had a chance to form, and an endless night that would never turn to day.

Just about everyone at the table seemed to have something to do for the rest of the day. Quin mentioned that she would go home, and Madeline borrowed Aileen's phone to text someone. Aileen assumed that it had something to do with her plans. Not long after, Madeline thanked Brian and left. "I have to return home as well," Aileen answered. She briefly glanced at Brian. "Maybe you should just get some rest, Brian. I will be alright on my own," she suggested, with a reassuring smile on her face. She walked to and from Brian's house all of the time, and the area around here was not too badly flooded, so walking would not be much of an issue.

After finishing her food, she waved goodbye, smiled at the two and walked out of the door. The sky was still cloudy, but other than that, the weather was not terribly bad. It was chilly, and her semi-wet clothes did not help, but it could have been worse. As she headed towards the intersection, Aileen decided to visit her dance studio. She walked through the door, to see her instructor mopping the floor. "Oh hello, Aileen. Glad to see that you are safe."

Aileen nodded and asked, "Do you need any help?"
"Haha, that would be great. Just grab a mop. Oh and one more thing, there is a girl sitting in one of the practice rooms sketching. Tell her that I plan to close the studio soon."

A girl? Regardless, Aileen began mopping the hallway leading to all of the practice rooms. She had to wring out the water a couple of times. As she moved down the hall, she looked through the windows on the doors. It was not until room 5 that she saw someone. Before entering, she knocked on the door. She took one step into the room. The girl looked a couple of years younger than Aileen. She was sketching so peacefully, perhaps she did not hear her knocking. "Hello, I just wanted to let you know that we plan on closing the studio very soon."

The girl looked up at Aileen and did not seem satisfied. Regardless she nodded her head slowly and started putting her things away. Aileen waited for her to leave the room, then turned off the lights and locked the practice room door. She watched as the girl went up to her dance instructor and bowed, then left. Is she new? I haven't seen her around... Aileen then put her mop away and began to walk home.

Her home was dry. It was as if the flood did not even make it to her house. The garden was semi flooded, but that was really it. Maybe everyone should have just stayed at her house. Aileen took the keys out of her bag and walked inside. She took off her shoes and walked to the kitchen. She was hungry again. Grabbing a granola bar from the cupboard, she ripped off the wrapper and took a bite. She walked towards the kitchen table. There was a note from her parents. It was exactly what she expected to see. She picked it up and threw it away. Afterwards, Aileen got changed and decided to go to bed. She was still tired. In bed, she thought about what she could do tomorrow. Perhaps go back to the studio? She didn't know, as she was thinking, she began to drift off to sleep.

Cristina had spent the entire day at the ballet studio. Just having switched orphanages, she did not know the area very well and was glad that she found such a beautiful place. It was amazing how it immediately sparked inspiration. She had 'talked' to the nice instructor-lady about coming here often to sketch and she seemed okay with it. In reality, she had just used her speech keyboard. Maybe the lady was only nice to her because she could not speak, but Cristina did not mind. She wished that she could thank her with her own voice though.
She was sketching in one of the practice rooms. She did not care to look at which number it was. Time was going by quickly however, and soon a girl came into the room. She spoke quietly, but it was loud enough for Cristina to hear. Why in the world are you speaking so quietly when you can actually speak? Cristina was irritated and looked up at her with a frown. Her clothes were wet. Had she been walking through flood water? Why in the world- She decided not to think about it and began to pack up her pencils. She put her pencil case into her bag and held her sketchbook. On the way out, she bowed to instructor with a smile to try to express her gratitude.
She walked 'home' to the orphanage and into her room. All that walking made her tired- she was not used to walking such long distances. Maybe I should find out how to take the bus. Cristina decided to skip dinner and go to bed before her annoying roommate returned and began blaring obnoxious music.

"Why you were in the hospital in the first place?"
"That's none of your business," she snapped.
"Seriously that haughty attitude of yours will be the death of you one day dear little Tempy." He smirked. Did he think it was funny? Wow could he start pushing her buttons so quickly. Temperance's eye twitched and for a brief moment she wanted to strangle the white-haired schoolmate in the bed.
"Don't you ever call me that again." She was about to say more when the girl, Heidi, started shouting and sobbing. What was her problem? Her green eyes studied the shaking figure as she rocked back and forth in the chair. Temperance ran her fingers through her ratted hair nervously and reached out to rest her hand on the girl's shoulder. Comforting people wasn't her strong suit, but Heidi seemed rather...disturbed. "Oh my god...Now I know why you seem so familiar. You tried out for cheer leading last year."
Her eyes flashed to Altair nervously and bit down on her lip as she continued to watch Heidi rock back and forth. She jumped under Temperance's touch and she recoiled her hand instantly. "You're the one the doctors are looking for, aren't you? The one that went missing from the Psych Ward?" This was bad. Why was she even in Altair's room. They couldn't know each other, could they?
    [/url]

    {tumblr Psychosis-Abnormal Mood-Freaked}
Heidi felt herself panicking. Altair's concerned voice went in one ear and out the other. There was a hand on her shoulder that made her jump. Don't touch her! No. Please. Nobody touches me. They're too scared. Don't be a baby! Please, just leave me alone! We'll never leave you Heidi, not like all the others. We're here for you. Her body shook violently in the chair and tears streamed down her face. She was trying to control it, but her disease was slowly taking over. She should have just stayed put and taken the medication.
"I don't want to hurt anyone. Not today. I...I have to help save everyone..." She sobbed and choked back a lump in her throat. Temperance said something about her trying out for cheerleading. Yes that's it! That's why she looked familiar. The cheerleader. The cheerleaders laughed at you! They ran in fear. I was attacking them. Lies! Who do you believe? Us or them? "Please. Go away. Let me just be norm...normal...please!" Heidi pleaded with the voices in her head. Would they ever let her be?
Of course. They would leave when she died. She opened her eyes, seeing spots and jumped to her feet, searching for something, anything sharp. They could stop right now. Heidi could end them right now. The rules! What are you doing? You can't end us. It says you aren't allowed to take your own life. They were right, and she knew it. They were always right. Her fists were full of hair as she stretched out her fingers. She had ripped chunks out again without realizing.
Firm hands were around her biceps and pushing her back into the chair. She looked up in a daze to see the cheerleader shoving her back down into the chair. Had she said something? Heidi vaguely remembered hearing her saying something about relaxing. How could she relax? They were taking over again.

Oh dear fucking Crestatia, this was quite migraine starter. Temperance was just being a bitch and Heidi...well he had no idea what the hell was going on. He had absolutely no idea how to approace Temperance and had absolutely no idea how to handle the situation. Now there was a tip the old man had on how to deal with bitchy girls...but what was it again?

    "Slap her"

    "...what?"

"If the bitch is being a bitch then slap the bitchiness out of her"

    "....your mad..."

Recalling it he sort of began to understand the crazed old man's mind...but only a bit. Of course there would be none of that since Heidi was the main concern at the moment. He watched her mumble on about things that were all gibberish to him. Her mind was a mess and it was easily shown before him. Things were getting wild and sooner or later the nurses will soon walk in. Though the girl quieted down when Tempy shoved her down but he knew she was not alright.

Getting off his bed, Altair walked up to the girl and gently placed his hands on her shoulders "Alright thats enough lets calm down a bit...kay?" Altair said gently as he used his right hand to wipe the tears from her face "You can stay here and I will do my best to make sure they don't find you...but all I ask is that you remain calm, it will make it easier for me to hide you" Altair said as he closed his eyes and smiled "Does that sound alright?" Altair said

John read Cherno's text and replied letting him know that he was okay. And letting him know that whatever sin he committed to get is hand's wound, didn't mean he should risk catching an infection. John texted his mother and pastor again. No replies from either of them. He frowned with worry before weaving through crowds and taking a seat near a familiar looking heathen girl. He was so drowsy already.

"That's it John. Let the Lord embrace you. Forget everything."

LATEST TUMBLR UPDATE | OOC: less than an hour left until the end // post rated n for nothing can really be described because this is a "kid's site"

The drive back to Reuben's was a long and annoying one. Somehow, they had ended up going to the store to pick up things for some party later. Then, they picked up a 'few more' friends of his and Madeline ended up squished and near suffocating against the right-side window of the back seats. No one paid much mind to her, which she appreciated, but the more time she spent in the back of that car, the further she sank into her usual behavior.Something was clicking off and on for her...It was a tug-of-war between feeling superior to everyone around her and reveling in absolute self-hatred. She was disgusting.

Her clothes clung to her lanky figure and her hair was stringy and shedding...She needed a shower, and to wash her face and brush her teeth...and maybe to purge. She felt fat again. Her fingers trembled as she made a mental note to check her weight as soon as possible and she found herself pressing her face harder into the window. The urge to die. To unbuckle her safety belt, open the door and pray that an 8-wheeler was tailing Reuben.

The drive that should have only taken ten minutes, now seemed to go on forever. Alarm didn't flare up inside of her until the Lexus whizzed past Welcome to Coy City sign. Her heart was pounding, but she didn't say anything. Not yet, at least. She held her tongue, assuming that they were simply picking up another friend.

One stop at a gas station and forty minutes later, she realized she was wrong. It was nightfall by this point, and Reuben was pulled up to an immensely large house...Or maybe a mansion? Madeline didn't know. She hadn't ever seen a place this large before in person. Music was blaring from the house, but the windows were blacked by thick curtains. She stayed in the car as everyone but Reuben exited with the things from earlier.

The silence was an awkward one, which wasn't strange or anything between them, but this time the tension was just a bit thicker. Reuben seemed conflicted. Her kept running his hand through his hair and gazing down at his cell phone as if he were expecting something. Madeline relaxed a bit in her corner, but her fingers were burning with the friction by her usual fidgeting. Her deep green eyes were wider than usual, assessing Reuben's behavior and the house, and then her fingers again.

"Do you still want a job...?" Her heart drummed steadily at an all-too-fast rhythm. "Listen, precious, I don't want to hurt you, you understand? I just want to help you. It's not so bad. But you...Are you listening?"

    Tears.

"Hey, lovely, shh. No crying, just listen. I just want to help you. It's not so bad, you remember."

"You brought me here for that...?" She knew it. She had asked him for this, though, so it wasn't so bad. It wasn't so bad. If it wasn't Reuben then it was her mother. She didn't want to see her mother. She didn't want to see her house. She was afraid it had gone up in flames. She never wanted to go back, she would rather not know.

Reuben climbed into the backseat within seconds of a stomach clenching sob escaping her throat. Her stared at her with electric green eyes. They were paralyzing in comparison to her own. She had a much...gentler hue, and his gaze always shook her to her core. His rough fingers brushed some tangled hair out of her face, and then his thumbs smeared her tears over her cheeks and lips. He leaned forward and Madeline's spine arched against the door. Her shifted seat belt locked, twisted around her hips and torso.

"You can't tell anyone...But you know that, lovely. I just want to help you."

Her fingertips curled as his hands locked around her wrists, his voice a chilling purr against her ear. He pushed his stomach into her hip and her throat tightened, refusing to let another sign of weakness escape her.

He pulled away from her and clicked his tongue, then he pulled out one of the back seats to reach into trunk and throw some much-too-shiny outfit towards her. He climbed back into the front seat and reached into the glove compartment, tossing a comb and some lipstick at her.

"...Clean yourself up, Madeline. You look awful. No one will want you like this."

    What time is it?

    It doesn't matter.

    I can't feel anything.

    It's so dark.

    Am I sleeping?

    I hope I'm sleeping.

    No, I hope I'm dead.

"It's alright. It's okay. Deep breaths, Maddy."

    I want to die.

It hurts a lot. I had forgotten.

    "What do you mean?"

    I was changing, I think.

I think I like Quin, more than I should. I could die if it weren't for her.

"There's nothing wrong with that! I mean...you liking her...and not dying yet."

I want to be with you. I can't be with both...And she doesn't care about me. No one really care about me. No one wants me.

    "I want you."

    You're dead.

And so the day had finally ended and things got a bit more calm. Since they decided to hide Heidi, Altair decided to stuff her under the bed with some blankets to keep her comfy. It seemed Tempy-chan didn't feel like going out today so Altair offered her his bed. He really felt bad to have a lady sleep on the chair while he had a bed. In the end though he was a patient, Altair sat on the nearby chairs, ready to endure whatever Tempy had in store for him tomorrow.

heidi was curled up in a ball under the bed. the tile was cold but she liked the feel of the chill pressed against her cheek. it was nice. Altair was sweet to her and they managed to help her calm down. the doctor's would blow a gasket in the morning when they finally found her, but for now she didn't care. sleep sounded like a good idea. she had promised to try and calm down and he had wiped away her tears. it made her smile slightly.

maybe he didn't find her too scary. yes he does. they all do. shhh....i'm not talking to you now. the smile stayed on her pale pink lips as she dozed off into the night. the floor wouldn't normally be the most comfortable location to sleep, but underneath a bed sounded like her new favorite spot.

    **********

temperance had managed to sit heidi back in the chair and altair jumped out of his bed and subdued her. how on earth did he get her relax? they managed to get the situation handled before anyone came walking into the room. it was a relief not having to explain that situation. she debated over what to do once the girl was neatly tucked away under his bed. there really was no where to go and now it was dark and cold outside.

honestly, how had she managed to spend the entire day at the hospital? temperance pulled out her phone real quick and checked the messages. cherno never texted back. was he okay? quick thinking about it. but she couldn't. she tapped away at the screen briefly deciding to send him another message.

there. that didn't sound to desperate for information, did it? temperance nibbled away at her lip before finally just deciding to hit send. "Do you want to just stay here?"

her eyes flashed back to altair. now he was trying to be sweet on her. the silly boy. his charm may have worked on the crazy girl, but it didn't fool her. unfortunately, at this point, she didn't have much of another option. she sighed and nodded her head without verbally responding. Altair insisted on her sleeping in his bed, even though he was the patient. temperance rolled her eyes and set her stuff in a pile on the floor. oh chivalry.

if he was going to make her sleep in the bed, she would at least give them the pillows and blankets. temperance pulled the blanket off the hospital bed and laid it over heidi's now sleeping form and threw the pillow at altair in the chair. the bed was barren aside from the fitted sheet and she climbed on to rest her eyes for the night.

    DAY 11

A bed had been her best friend for these past few days. It never left here, it never even went anyway. So no matter what she did or how hard she punched it or screamed into the pillow it remained there. Surely it was more loyal than anyone she had ever met. And it was especially more loyal than her.
"Why did I do that?" He hurt you. The email said no romance. It's better this way. He hurt you. He was mean. You deserve better. It was abuse. You shouldn't have taken it at all. You'll find someone better. He had it coming. Abuse. "If I hurt myself can I replace myself then? Do I need to find a better 'self'?"
Don't hurt yourself. Don't do it. Please don't do it.
There was only pleads, never any actual reasons. Still, she had no energy to do it let alone move. And at least the bed tried. So the only thing she did was lie in bed, hugging a pillow and pretending not to exist.
Today would be different though. Today she finally had the strength to pull herself out of the bed and leave the dark room, though granted the rest of her house was barley any brighter. The only actual light was the one from the fridge which presented her with the food she had longed for throughout her days of depression, though simply could not make. She could have died like that. Would have saved that Cresitla, or whatever, person the trouble.
Ha...a game with humans? They were far too boring and cruel for her taste. Why, if she was a demon she would just set fire to the world. Yeah...watching it burn would bring her the ultimate happiness.
But for now she simply settled for the small bit of joy the cold pizza slice gave her. She needed it, as there was no way she still had a job. Those phone calls she failed to answer yesterday was probably her boss firing her. And her mother...oh god her mother...
Standing in a quick motion sent her head spiraling which resulted in blurred vision, though she cared little for this or the pain that would soon come as she punched the nearest wall. Russian swears even poured out despite her hatred for the culture. It was just...that WOMAN. And oh god. Her father and...THOSE PEOPLE.
Shutting her eyes the girl ran her fingers through her hair and started to breath heavily. She needed...to calm down. Yeah, chill the fuck out. And go outside, after all that laying down her poor legs must have needed the walk.
Inhale. Exhale. Whew... Okay. Now she was ready to return to the streets and see what's changed in the world. But before that...to shower and change and grab her bag.
Okay. Now she was ready to go. Though there was no detestation in mind... Maybe her friends wanted company? If they even knew she was still alive. But before anything...there had to be fire. Something needed to burn in some ally. Near or far it just had to be somewhere and it had to be soon, because at this rate she may just kill someone.
Though, even with her crime spree she wouldn't actually do that. That was just some crazy shit, and even if some thought she was already too far gone, she wasn't. And no way would she get on the level of those insane freaks anytime soon.

The rise of the new morning came with a sense of clarity and calm. Tyler was surprised to find that he had slept most of the previous day away due to complete exhaustion, and the annoying fact was... he was sure that compared to everyone else, he entirely had no need to be exhausted. Tyler had now evaded danger from the 'game' twice in a row... And one thing was for sure. Not that he wanted to put himself in danger, but he was positive that if he didn't do something soon, Crestatia would get bored of him. It was as simple as that. To stay safe and not trigger some massive backlash by Crestatia, he had to put himself into the dangerzone more than he had. It was a double edge. Stay safe by being in danger.
Of course, this was a game... it had to be entertaining, but all the same, Tyler knew that he didn't want to drag others around him into the danger either, but that to try and not was likely impossible. If this was a story/roleplay/visual novel as Tyler kept likening the events around him to, right now... Tyler was probably the most irrelevant character involved, easy enough to be erased and not have major consequence.
It was amazing how his mind came to such a conclusion, almost like some external force behind a screen was typing his thoughts for him. Or maybe it was his keen mind and deductive reasoning that came with the imagination that a novelist like himself possessed. To be able to analyze all possibilities was a powerful skill if it could be used in the right situation. Regardless... Tyler's mind slipped it's focus onto the most important things at hand. His friends...
He still hadn't heard anything from Quin or Abby and the worry was making him feel ill. Tyler was always able to be positive, but right now action was important, and he needed the knowledge that they were alright.
He put his phone on charge and headed out. Quin lived just down the road from him of course and providing she were home, the fastest way to confirm her safety would be to pay her a visit directly.
He dressed himself as he usually would and was outside the door within minutes, heading down the road with speed. Soon enough, he was outside her door. He... couldn't knock for a moment. He found his breath caught in his throat. What if something had happened to her? To Quin? To his best friend? The reality of a world without Quin hit him hard and while he wasn't religious... Tyler found himself almost praying to 'something' that she was alright - that no harm had come to the girl he treasured so much.
Tyler took a deep breath and calmed himself. He had to be strong, for if she were okay, he had to be able to support her without worrying her. Tyler remembered his vow to protect her and his vow to always stay true to himself. He would never go back on his word. It just wasn't his style.
At last, finding the strength he needed to move his arm forward. He knocked.

xxxxxxxxxx She seriously didn't know how she got home, it was a wonder to her, but the next morning, she had woken up in her bed and stared at the ceiling. It was almost as if she were in some sort of dream-like state, and everything was extremely ethereal. Had she seen her dad? Had her house really been okay? Kallisti sat up in her bed and looked around, a few things were on the floor, but it seemed that everything was as she left it all those days ago . . . All those days ago . . . That sounded like years, centuries . . . A far away nightmare.

Kallisti sat up in her bed and twiddled with her fingers, her pale hands clasped together. It relaxed her, gave her peace of mind when she did it, always allowed her to think. How were the others doing . . . ? Madeline had left her, yesterday. Kallisti felt . . . almost an overwhelming sadness that she had, hardly letting her say goodbye. Was she going to be able to see her again? Or would one of them abruptly die before that could happen? It was a bad idea to get close to Madeline, for several reasons; the least of which . . . if Madeline died, Kallisti would be extremely affected - it was the same for Tyler. It was the reason she had few friends . . . She couldn't stand to get close to other people. Getting close to others meant that she had to care. She could only care so much. No, that was a lie. She could care infinitely, but it would sap the life from her blood.

There was a knock, and Kallisti looked at her door. No, it wasn't her door. Who could it be? Peter, here for his favor? Harley, checking up on her? Melissa? Elizabeth? . . . Dare she think it to be . . . Madeline? No . . . Perhaps it was . . .

" Tyler . . . " Kallisti breathed, as her closest friends stood in front of her - and all in once piece! For just one moment, she stared at him, bewildered that they were once more face to face, both alive, both breathing. Tyler looked like hell, but then again, so did she. They'd both been through a lot . . . How silly she was, not being able to hold back the tears that came down her face . . . " T - Tyler! " she cried, throwing her arms around him, and burying her face into his chest, " I am s - so glad - you're o - okay . . . " she said, her face muffled in his shirt. Immediately, she pulled back from him and looked at him seriously, tears still coming down her face, " Y - you are okay . . . right? "

xxxxxxxxxx This morning, he had gone to check out the damage that had been dealt to the city. Man, most places looked like complete shit. There were district maintenance everywhere, still pumping water out of places and the streets and parks. He helped a few people here and there, feeling like today was going to be a good day. Maybe he'd go see his mom or his dad. Would they be happy to see him? Probably not his dad, but his mom always loved a visit, even if she was with her new husband. He wasn't a bad guy at all, though.

Harley sighed, adjusted his black jacket, and looked at his watch. It was just about to be 10:30am; he had all day. What should he do all day? Perhaps he should go visit his favorite little musical princess. Was she alright? She'd probably had a hell of a time at the school, what with the little mess that she made. Harley still didn't know what that was - his dad hadn't said anything to him, and it was kind of annoying.

He decided he would go to her house. She'd be thrilled to see him. The thought gave him a smile, he loved his small cousin. So adorable, so small. So Harley drove to Sealand, humming to a song by Mozart as he turned on to 62nd Avenue. When he pulled up to her house in the midst of all of the trees, he looked at her door and saw a boy there, with shaggy brown hair, and she was . . . hugging him.

He narrowed his eyes and his face became dark and dangerous. He wouldn't get out of the car now, but he knew who that boy was - and he didn't like him being so close to his princess.

Weak sunshine passed through the window and illuminated on Brian's face. Annoyed, he shut his eyes tighter and tried to relax. But it was pointless. With a sigh, Brian stood up and threw on some fresh clean clothes. He opened the closet door, and carefully picked out the perfect scarf. This lovely green one would do just fine.

He grabbed his phone and headed down the stairs. Seeing a body on the couch shocked Brian so much that he jumped back slightly in recoil. He'd forgotten Anthony stayed over again. He found Anthony a pleasure to be around, those his comments were sometimes childish and silly, which irked him a bit. But still, the boy was great with lightening the mood. Biting his lip, Brian contemplated whether or not he should wake Anthony up. He was sleeping so peacefully but it was already--he pulled out his phone--11:34!

Brian shook the boy gently and whispered, "Time to get up Anthony~" His voice sound melodic as he spoke, which would be quite soothing to any open ear willing to listen. He shook him again, a little more vigorously. He hoped he'd wake up so maybe they could do something together...

    Relief.
    "Qu-Quin..."
That was the first thing to set in. Pure relief that she was alright. Then came numbness as Tyler suddenly felt his bottom lip quiver almost at the sound of her saying his name. She was alright... she was alive! She looked a state, but it was to be expected, and regardless of how she looked for whatever reason, right now, she was just... quite frankly; beautiful. The fact she was alive was a beautiful thing. His eyes were almost in disbelief as they took in the sight of the girl, tears coming down her cheeks. She hardly ever cried, but all the same; this felt natural right now. How could she not cry? She'd been through so much. It was only fair.
"H-hey..." his voice cracked as he tried to speak through a wave of emotion. Tyler had been about to pull her into a hug on his own when he was surprised as she flung her arms around him and buried her face into his chest. He immediately returned her embrace by wrapping his arms around her too, holding onto the shaking girl like she were fragile glass which would break if he dared to let go for even a second. "I am s - so glad - you're o - okay . . . " she said, her face muffled in his shirt. Immediately, she pulled back from him and looked at him seriously, tears still coming down her face, " Y - you are okay . . . right?" She'd been this worried about him? ...Tyler couldn't believe himself - that he'd put her through such worry, even if it wasn't any fault of his own.
"...Of course I am. No worries... You know me. I can survive anything," he mustered up a half fake grin. "You-you're... alright too... right?" it took all he had to keep himself from crying as well as he asked her the same question in return. He had to remain strong for her. He couldn't make things any harder for her than they already were.
He shivered as an ominous feeling settled over him like something else was amiss elsewhere, but right now, he didn't care and just wrote it off to all the craziness that had been going on of late.
The most important thing right now was the girl in his arms. His best friend in the whole world.
