"Yes, thank you, Brian." He heard Quin reply as he walked away. A small smile formed on his face; he couldn't believe she said yes. He figured she didn't like him, so it sure took him by surprise. He then heard Cherno reply as well. "Sure thing, brother. I may be a bit late." Cherno paused and looked at his hand. "I already went there. They can't really help it right now. Just, don't ask about it kid. Thanks." Brian nodded in acknowledgment. Another one said yes! He was practically giddy now... which still would look odd.

Brian noticed Quin turn to Madeline and ask if she wanted to come over his house as well. He frowned slightly and sighed. The dislike between the two were mutual, so he figured she'd decline immediately. He barely heard her agree. He was... dumbfounded, to say the least. Brian looked to Quin with a little disappointment in his eyes. Even if he liked Madeline, it would still be rude to invite someone over with the house owner's permission. Still, it was understandable. Those two became much closer over his whole ordeal. Brian shrugged it off, and said happily, "Sure! It'd be great to have you over!" Maybe he sounded a little too excited...

Quin prompted to leave the auditorium, leaving the group behind. ...Another rude action. He looked to Aileen. If his house was okay, her house most certainly was. But still, maybe it wouldn't hurt to have his best friend over. "...Want to come over? There are a few others, as you can tell. And... I don't want us to separate just yet..." They were still holding hands. He looked to the doors of the auditorium to see Anthony and Elizabeth. Maybe they were rendered "homeless" as well, at least for the time being?

Brian walked over to the siblings. He repeated the question he asked Quin and Cherno. He eagerly awaited their reply.

None of it felt real while it was happening. Living so passively seemed to do that. Even when you make plans to do something and speak throughout the event, it feels like a dream until it is over.

Abby was dead, and she allowed it to happen. It was... different than the other deaths. Thomas, Ash, and Xavier were nothing more than strangers to her. Passing thoughts, ones she cared little for. This time, though, she had gotten to know the victim. She heard her worries and saw her pain. She even held the girl...

Footsteps were nearing, snapping her out of the daze. They belonged to Anthony, it seemed. Good. He seemed unharmed.

However after speaking to him she learned of a break in shortly before their house flooded, and after a fight with the two assailants he heard their voices. Fellow students, he said. People they both knew... Traitors.

Now another set of footsteps approached them. Good, they were offering them a place to stay. After hearing Anthony accept she quickly said no and left the building. She had matters to attend to now.

    [ LEVEL NINE - BGM - STATUS: ??? - UPDATE: N/A ]

Anthony looked to Brian when he started speaking. A wide grin appeared on his face and he nodded happily. "Yeah!"

He began bouncing around, missing Lizzy's leave. A sleepover? His first sleepover! Oh this is going to be so much fun. And with it, he nearly forgot everything that just happened. "I got to go back for my bag." He started back, realizing his jacket was also left on the chair back in the auditorium. However he then stopped. Everything was soaked. And it was back with Abby.

"Or... You know I don't have a change of clothes. Oh my house is so ruined now I bet. Can I burrow some? I don't have money to buy anything new yet." Thinking about it now, even if his house could be repaired and his things replace he didn't exactly want to go back there. In fact he marked it off as an unapproachable zone.

He'll be fine at Brian's. And once he had to leave...Well he'll think of something. But more importantly...

    "And food! We need food."

xxxxxxxxxx He had left the school before the flooding had gotten too bad. He smirked to himself, thinking what a pity it was that he left her behind. Was she okay, he wondered? Probably. Tough as nails, that one. Not even his dad could knock a dent in her - and man, oh man, did he do her a good one. On the surface, he was perfectly calm about this, but deep down, he was raging with the fires of a thousand suns. His dad, that bastard, touching what wasn't his.

In any case . . . This flood hadn't been an ordinary one. Crestatia - that cute little girl - probably caused it in one of her fits. Oh yeah, he knew the lady could strike him down then and there, but he wasn't afraid to die. There were few things he was afraid of, actually, but he'd never tell any of them to anyone. No, that'd be no fun. Instead, he liked to find out other people's weaknesses, use them against them.

He pulled his cigarette pack from the pocket of his black jeans and flicked one out, and in one smooth movement, he had it lit and felt the delicious fire on his tongue. This was a bit of a serenity for him, and there was no one to stop him - like they could anyway - since he lived alone. It was nice to be your own caretaker, gave you a sense of ownership, of domination. He sat on the roof of his condo, looking out into the flooded Coy City. Man, there were tons of places that looked like shit. Off in the distance, there was Sealand, and in the trees of Sealand Park lived the elegant princess. Her house was probably alright. He wondered if Uncle Lee was alright. Probably, the guy was pretty resourceful when he needed to be.

He inhaled another mouthful of smoke, the slight burning sensation on the back of his throat feeling pleasant. He smiled at it. He saw a girl, one with brown hair and green eyes, making her way shakily to his home. Ah, she was here. He hopped down from his roof, onto his balcony and swung into his room.

" Hey there, beautiful. " he said smoothly, as her glittering green eyes sparkled into is pale gray ones, " You're just on time. " And she shivered as he caressed her face, down her neck. He moved out of the way so she could come in and observed her; she was pretty, but not beautiful. Nothing like a certain pair of lightning blue eyes that attracted him so much. Regardless, he'd have a lot of fun with this one, " Why don't we get started, " he told her, closing the door and shirking off his jacket.

It was always a pleasure to be Harley Jay Jackson.

As Brian approached Elizabeth and Anthony, the sister immediately left their company. Anthony didn't seem to notice, or even care for that matter. The boy happily accepted Brian's invitation which put a wide smile on his face, matching quite nicely with Anthony's. He was so oblivious, it seemed, yet so peppy. It was practically contagious!

Brian walked off towards the exit, with Cherno, Anthony, and Aileen following close behind him. The group of four exited the school and walked to the parking lot. The water was up to everyone's thighs, which made it extremely difficult to navigate through the lot. He noticed Quin struggling as well. Speaking of her, he needed to tell her where his house was so she could make it there with Madeline. Brian hurried his pace, which wasn't by much, and finally reached the shivering girl. He quickly said to her, "My house number is thirty, on Waverly Place in South Bellhurst by the sushi place. I'll see you there with Madeline." He flashed her a smile, then continued on.

Naturally, it took the group quite a while to reach Brian's house. The distance between the school and his home was quite great, but the water only made the situation worse. Pulling his house key out his pocket (which he remembered to bring to school and, luckily, didn't lose on the journey home), he hurriedly unlocked the door. Everyone was soaked to the bone, and freezing their asses off. Expecting some warmth from his house, Brian was rendered disappointed. He guided everyone inside and said, "There are a few places you guys can sleep. There's my bedroom, the guest room, and the living room right here." As he listed off each room, he gestured to their location. His and the guest room were found upstairs, while the living room was the room they were currently in. "It's totally up to you guys, because I am fine with whatever." With that, he began to head up the stairs towards his room.

Having no family home made him nervous. Brian was worried about where his family could be. He figured that his parents came home and they, along with Lindsy, evacuated to a safe location in the city. He wondered if they were worried about him, or if Lindsy was their primary concern right now.

Walking out of the school, Aileen had calmed down a bit. To keep her mind off of what had just happened, she looked down at the flooded ground and counted the steps it took for her to get to Brian's car, but lost count after realizing how difficult it was to get there. During the car ride, she just stared through the window observing all the damage that the storm had done.

When the four of them entered Brian's house, there was no one there. Did everyone evacuate? I wonder if Mother and Father did, too. She decided to call her home to see if they were there. Aileen pulled her phone out from her bag, dialed and pressed the green call button. She held the phone to her right ear. While the call was connecting, Brian spoke to the group. "There are a few places you guys can sleep. There's my bedroom, the guest room, and the living room right here." Aileen nodded.

Dial tone. Dial tone. Dial tone. Dial tone....She then heard her sister's voice. "Sorry that we're not here to take your call right now. Please leave your nam-" Aileen hung up the phone. Her parents not picking up the phone was enough to tell her that they had evacuated, or at least went to visit her sister again. She sighed.

"Is it alright if I take the Guest Room?" she asked the group, but before they could reply, she added, "Oh, and also, let's make something to eat. I can't be the only one that's starving..." She started walking towards Brian's kitchen. She practically knew where everything was. Now...what to make... Aileen yawned. Maybe I'll just stick with toast, and then go to bed... She grabbed a slice of bread and put it into the toaster.

Nearly the instant they got to Brian's house Anthony found himself looking for the kitchen. Once there he opened the fridge, only to see the light was off. Lame.

Without even looking to see if anything had been spared of spoiling he closed the door and moved to the cabinets. Cookies! Yes, this was food fit for heroes. So he grabbed all of them that he found before moving back to the living room. Oh. It seemed that Brian had left the area.

No matter. That just meant more food for him.

Plopping down on the couch, still soaking wet, he laid back and began munching on the cookies. Also, this spot was now his. He even made sure to call dibs on it to sleep on later that day.

    [ ◦ ◦ ]

For the most part she was inside throughout the storm, making her perhaps one of the driest of the lot. However that changed the moment she stepped outside, as she had to make her way through a small pool of water. It went above her knees, causing her to become cold. Though as she was focused enough, this hardly mattered.

Elizabeth withdrew her phone while she made her way south, though paused. No. A pay phone would do. It took longer, as she needed to reach the dry areas. But at least this way her call would not be traced so easily.

"No, I'm more interested in your more...dangerous inventory. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. No I can't pay the full price but you know I'm good for my word. And I always pay my debts." There was an agreement so she hung up, replacing the slim phone in her pocket.

However long it took to get to Madison Park was lost on her, though at least she didn't have to walk all the way, as she managed to find a taxi and had enough for the toll. How lucky, having just enough... Maybe there was something out there who felt pity for these poor souls trapped in this death game and was giving them some luck.

Once at the park she marveled in how untouched this place seemed, as if it was states away from the chaos north instead of being so close. It almost felt like another world, a safer one. Maybe she could find a place to live down here... She's saved up enough. And to separate from her family would be a blessing. Anthony would come too, of course. And here they could be safely tucked away...

    "Yo, anyone home?"

Apparently someone had been calling for her attention for a while now. With her thoughts derailed she turned to see her supposed pal, Andrew. He was someone who could get his hands on anything, making quite the profitable salesman. Most of his clients simply came for drugs though, which was viewed as a waste in Elizabeth's mind. So she put his skills to use, asking the strangest requests and yet he had never failed her.

So this was quite the shame. But once they talked some and after seeing his 'example' of his dangerous inventory she said it would do and took the small handgun. He waited for the money as Elizabeth played with the gun. No one was in this area of the park, otherwise there was no way the trade would be done here. And perhaps people were staying indoors more with the storm, or out helping those in need. How nice of them.

"You trust too willingly." She stated, pointing it at him now. He seemed shocked, which was fun. Even laughed, thinking it was some joke. "In your next life, don't."

    Bang.

She moved to take his wallet, phone, and anything else that looked valuable before leaving the scene. Maybe someone saw her come this way, or would see her leaving. But for some reason she trusted the luck to still be on her side. Even if she was caught it hardly seemed to matter. She'll be dead in an hundred days anyway.

As long as she could get her actual targets before then she'll be content.

xxxxxxxxxx Getting to Brian's had been . . . easy enough, after she was able to find her car three blocks down and almost on its side, next to another car that looked like it was going to fall apart. The waters of the flood had receded slightly, and when she opened the door, buckets of water came out. She was shocked that it was still in once piece, but surely wasn't complaining. The seats were leather, so their only retained tiny drops and puddles of water, so she quickly removed her long sleeve shirt under her vest and cleaned up what she could . . .

Kallisti was so tired . . . So tired . . . But she tried not to focus on the last two days and drove to a clothing store that was open - luckily a thrift store - and picked out a new set of clothing to wear, and bought some nightwear as well, seeing as she was staying at Brian's for the night. Would Madeline want clothing, too? No matter, she bought extra clothing, anyway.

On the way to Brian's house, in her slightly tattered car, Kallisti pondered to herself many things; if Peter had cleaned up that wretched mess she created, if she would ever be forgiven by herself or anyone else that knew of her deed, and if any of them hated her. All three thoughts made her choke back tears; she couldn't be seen crying, ever. No one would see her cry . . .

She was happy that Brian hadn't commented too much on her inviting Madeline to come along for the night, but she didn't know if she could face all of those people by herself . . . Madeline made her feel more comfortable, less . . . quiet. She knew it was rude to invite people, but they were all in the same boat, and Brian seemed like the type for always making new acquaintances . . .

Normally, Kallisti wouldn't care for what people thought of her, in any aspect, but this was . . . different. It was different. They had all seen her kill that girl - regardless of her being voted the one to do it. It was a repetitive set of thoughts, but she just couldn't get it out of her mind . . .

" Good evening, Brian. " she said in a soft voice, after she had walked into the house for him answering it. It was a lovely home, very warm and comfortable feeling - in a stark contrast to the school and the auditorium, " Thank you for letting me come, tonight. It is most appreciative . . . "

After she finished eating, Aileen put her plate in the sink and began walking towards the guest room. She opened the door to it. Everything looked so organized, orderly and welcoming. I guess they're always ready for guests. Aileen closed the door behind her. Suddenly her phone rang. Without checking who it was, she picked it up.

"Hello? Aileen? Are you alright?" It was Alice.
"Yes, I'm fine, Alice," she replied, "Mother and Father are with you right?"
"Yeah, they came up here before the storm started, luckily." Of course.
"I'm staying at Brian's, so take care of them for me," Aileen said as sincerely as she could.
"Yup, stay safe! Love you. Bye." And with that, Aileen hung up.

Since her phone was already in her hands, she decided to go on Tumblr. She scrolled down her dashboard, seeing some amazing posts. She even reblogged a couple of them. However after scrolling down a bit more, she fell to her knees. A painting that included a bow and arrow. A bow and...arrow..? Aileen gasped and nearly threw her phone to the ground. She began hyperventilating again. Abby. Aileen covered her mouth with her right hand. I'm sorry. She began crawling towards the bed. It should have been me. Tears were now streaming down her face. I'm sorry. Making it to the bedside, she sat on the floor with her head rested on the bed and covered it with the thick blanket. She did not want anyone to hear her. I'm sorry. There, alone in the guest room, Aileen cried herself to sleep.

    "I'm...sorry...Abby..."

John walked about in a days. His tears had long dried. His legs wanted to take him home but he held off, he just kept walking. Until he stumbled upon a station. It wasn't soon before long that he heard his phone beep twice, alerting him that he was almost out of lower. There seemed to be not anothet soul around as he wandered through the water logged town.

Soon he was called out for, not by name but as a sir. An officer of the law and two other men were offering him a ride to the stadium. Where a makeshift city awaited him. Briefly his mind connected that his mother might be there. So he nodded to the men, suddenly these coppers had a very comfortable car. As the car whizzed through the streets, more people filed into the squad car. Two more before John was on an unhindered stop to the Stadium. He couldn't be dropped off at the entrance. Instead he had to walk two full blocks because of the damages done to the city. He rubbed the area where his heart beat as he stared up at the doors and stairs leading into the ticketbooths. People brushed past him to get inside and he didn't care. Didn't mock or even think of them. He felt nothing but a dull beat that said, You're alive."

It was funny to her how everything had gone from positively chaotic to back to normal, for the most part. Everyone started to part ways and before she knew it, she was standing out in the wet halls of the Bellhurst High--alone. She was grateful to Brian for not denying her a place to stay tonight. As prideful as she was, she knew she would eventually have to go back home. She wondered how many times her mother had tried to reach her on her blown up cell phone--and then her thoughts drifted back and forth between her mother and Reuben, and then briefly to her father.

An electrical pop! made her jump back into the auditorium for a brief moment, reminding her of how potentially unsafe the school was. When a few seconds had past, she trudged carefully back out into the quiet hallway. School will probably be out for a while... It wouldn't make much of a difference though, as Winter Break was scheduled to come up on the 12th anyway. If she were completely honest, she was no longer concerned with school. She was tempted to drop out. Maybe she could get her GED or something. She was convinced she would die before the 100 Days were up, so what did it matter?

Madeline felt terrible as she approached the exit to Bellhurst and memories of Thomas invaded her skull. She pushed herself quickly out into the open, greeted immediately by a gigantic puddle. She shivered as the water made contact with her dry knees. She felt like crying, but knew better than to unleash here. Of course it seemed the Quin had avoided the puddle completely somehow. She was both amazed by and a tad envious of her grace.

The car ride to and from the thrift store was uneventful and quiet. She liked that. Madeline was getting more and more comfortable with this kind of silence. There was no obligation to speak, and it was nice. Quin had let her stay in the car during her shopping, and she used the time to take a short nap and distract herself from hunger. She found that the more time she spent alone, the more she more guilt she felt about Abby. She wondered when that would go away.

Quin thanked Brian as soon as they got into the house. Madeline did not. She wanted to, she did, but she couldn't muster one up. She felt ashamed at being here--at tagging along with Quin like a lost puppy. Even if she had asked her to go, she wondered if it were just out of pity.

"There are a few places you guys can sleep. There's my bedroom, the guest room, and the living room right here."

How awkward. She was tempted to offer to just sleep in Quin's car, but that felt even more invasive somehow. She had no idea where to sleep, but the thought to do so quickly vanished from her mind as she watched Aileen go into the kitchen. She took her wet shoes off by the door, and snuck away into the kitchen herself. Her stomach growled.

Cherno was pleased with how clean Brian's home was. Very pleased. It seemed a stark contrast from many of the other homes that he had visited during his time in the enormous city. He was stylish and clean. South Bellhurst as well, what a trendy place. Cherno had the shaky fear that he would have to spend the night in a pig sty, but that did not seem the case. He was almost tempted to vocally thank the young boy, but at this point he was too tired to even speak. Brian informed the congregation about the available rooms.

He saw the others move off to different parts of the house. It was small and quaint, but sweet. Where was Brian's family? Did he live here alone? Cherno himself was used to living alone, so he would not mind it very much -- if anything, it seemed it was another connection between him and Brian. He slowly walked into the living room, where he saw Anthony plopped off on the couch. Oh goddamnit, what was he doing here.

The others seemed to be out in the kitchen or the guest room. Cherno had no choice. He sighed. Time to share the living room with Anthony. Please, please, he begged to the parabolas of the universe, do not let the kid wake him up. He had been unable to sleep for how long? It had been almost an entire weak now, and his legs were shaky.

    Fuck. His hand.

He sat on one of the warm cushioned seats directly opposite the sofa where Anthony lounged casually and grabbed his painkillers from his pocket. Gulp. Down three and four of you little things go. Cherno coughed a bit. His bad hand numbed. Was he getting dependent on these? Nah.

They did make him sleepy though. Cherno looked around, in a bit of a daze. It looks like most of the others from the auditorium would be here, huh? Even Madeline. Odd. But-- but something was off.

Johnathan had moved off somewhere. Were there any shelters nearby? He was resourceful. Heck, he could probably stay in one of the churches without any fear and with much more peace than wanting to be here.

He turned back to Anthony. The girl with him wasn't here, or anywhere. Where did she go? And --

    He looked at his phone.

Right. Temperance. Where was she going to stay? Her house must have been completely flooded. Things could not get any worse for her, could they? Why was he so worried about her anyway. Dear lord. I suppose it would not hurt to check on her. She was strong, she would be okay, right?

So Cherno sent her a text message.

Sent. He shut off his phone and placed it back in the tattered remains of his jacket that he used as a robe. The claws of sleep grabbed at him and he felt his eyes dimming slightly, his body feeling slow as he sat upon the chair. Cherno felt as if he would be off into a deep, long sleep.

Elizabeth, John, and Temperance. Everybody else was here. Funny, they weren't considered the most popular bunch out of the team, those three. Could it truly be that everyone in the team would be able to congregate in one place peacefully?

Everybody else was here, except those three.

    And Abby.

    ...

As he slowly began to fall asleep, Cherno rose the tattered robe around his head to act as a hood, so nobody could see the single tear that crossed his cheek.

xxxxxxxxxx One thing Kallisti was happy for was that Brian had peanut butter, jelly, and iced lemon tea. She ate in a corner of the kitchen, facing away from everyone else, becoming a little more emotional as she chewed on the delicious food. She was so sad . . . And eating didn't look like it was helping. She was lucky to be alive, and the house had received her well enough . . . considering. Madeline hadn't said much to her either, but they seemed to have an understanding of silence between each other and they were comfortable with that.

When she washed down her god-sent, childhood favorite, she made her way back to the living room and grabbed a blanket and a quaint pillow and huddled up in a corner, becoming warm on herself. This was kind of . . . nice. She was comfortable here, despite it not being her home. She would go home tomorrow, surely, all the water would be drained out and her father would be on repairs. It would be nice to sleep in her own bed again. Kallisti knew she was going to sleep horribly tonight, but . . . Maybe she deserved it.

Her blue eyes fluttered closed and she fell into her dreams, tears streaming down her face.

He was sitting up in his slightly messy bed - of course it would be messy, considering - and had his arm stretched out over the bed board, his other hand to his mouth with a lit cigarette already in it, being burnt away.

The girl knew she was only being used, of course she did, he could tell she wasn't that much of an idiot. He'd been courteous, given her a good hour to recover, to revitalize herself and realize what had happened. Maybe she regretted it. Maybe not. But she wanted the attention - she had daddy issues. Not enough of a father figure in her life - that's to say, not a strong, firm figure in her life. Her mom was a wreck, her sister was a brat. For a little while, he'd given her sanctuary, and she was grateful. He smiled behind the wisp of cloud that came from his cigarette.

When he finished it, he rubbed the stub into the ashtray by his bed and slid comfortably under his covers, thinking of this or that, and then his phone rang. Sighing, he picked it up and put it to his ear, " I'm just about to get to bed, what do you want? "

" You'd think you were talking to your brother or something, Harley. " came the sound of his dad's voice.

Harley rolled his eyes, " What do you want, dad? "

" Kallisti made a mess today, and she asked me to clean it up. " he explained over the line, and he perked up at the mention of her name, " In exchange, she's gonna give me a favor. Just thought I'd let you know. "

The line went dead and Harley shot up in his bed, looking at his phone in disbelief in the darkness of his room. That guy. He wasn't going to be getting that favor. But for now, Harley would let him think that. Sighing again, he slid back under his covers and went to sleep.

    ~~Tumblr~♥~ Mood: exhausted~~OOC: time for bed~~ Day: Nine~~
Temperance moved her legs slowly through the streets. The December air bit at her bare legs as she made her way through the city. Her house was a couple miles from school. The walk would take up any last energy she had left. Eventually, she would have to check on her car at the gas station-- maybe tomorrow. The walk took much longer than intended due to the fact that she was trying to avoid any flooded streets.
Walking in freezing water without any pants afraid of hypothermia wasn't even her concern. It was just the water in general. There was so much and some streets were so heavily flooded she began hyperventilating just at the sight of it. Her shoes were soaked from the standing water in the school and the damp ground outside. Eventually, she made it to her street. There was no choice but to wade through the water near her house, but at least she was home.
The bitter cold water stung her legs and a violent shiver went up her spine. The large oak tree in her front yard had been ripped from the Earth and crashed through the living room box window. It was both a blessing and a burden. Her keys were in her purse all the way back in her gym locker. She left school without grabbing the bag. Temperance checked to make sure her phone was still secure to chest and tried to walk through the water as quickly as possible. She took deep breaths, in an attempt to stay calm, and climbed up the trunk of the tree.
The water in her house was only to about her knees. It wasn't so bad. Temperance moved to the kitchen first and grabbed some food out of the cupboards. She didn't even care what it was, just something. Her legs moved through the cold water and over to the staircase. She climbed it as quickly as possible and once she reached the landing, Temperance ran straight to her room. She was grateful it was on the second floor. Everything seemed to be relatively intact.
She tossed the box of cereal on the bed and moved to the walk-in closet. Temperance pulled open the dresser drawer containing her pajamas and grabbed the robe hanging from a hook on the wall. She changed quickly and buried herself under the covers of her blanket. The house was eerily quiet, except for the noises of water splashing throughout the first floor. She was alone again. It was a blessing and a burden. Temperance wouldn't have to worry about anyone else getting hurt, but she hated being alone so much. He always came for her when she was alone.
Temperance nibbled at the cereal under the covers for a bit, before finally closing her eyes. Sleep was beginning to consume her. It was a welcoming embrace. When was the last time she really slept? Before Lacey's. The night before the explosion at Lacey's for sure. When she had forced her body to sleep, not wanting to wake up. She never wanted to wake up. Temperance just wanted to close her eyes and escape this cruel reality forever. Her phone sat snuggled next to her pillow on the bed. How much longer would the battery last? She was lucky it had held out this far.
Her phone chimed and a new text appeared. Funny, who was texting her? She figured after responding to all the other messages, they would leave her alone. Temperance checked the sender's name and felt a lump in her throat. Cherno. Why was he texting her? Couldn't he just let be for five minutes.

Why? Why was he telling her this? It didn't matter. She was already home anyway. Where did Brian even live? She figured it must have been in South Bellhurst since he mentioned that region. South Bellhurst was on her way to her father's house. Maybe she would stop. No. It was a stupid idea. She wanted distance between herself and Cherno. Between herself and everyone. Temperance sighed and sent him a reply.
Her mother wanted her to go stay with her father, but she would be better here in the flooded home alone. Maybe tomorrow, when she wakes up. For now, she typed up a quick post on tumblr and closed her eyes. The phone lay beside her pillow once more and she buried her face into the cool pillow case. With one long yawn, she drifted off into unconsciousness.

First she got some water, and then she nibbled on some bread. She knew that if she ate too much, her stomach wouldn't be able to handle it, but she couldn't help but to scarf down everything that touched her lips. She decided not to touch anything in the fridge and vouched instead for some apples that were laid out in a bowl. Her body thanked her. Eating had never been so orgasmic.

When she was through and satisfied, she used the bathroom to wash up and prepare for bed (thanking Quin for the extra clothes). She found some rubber bands in one of the drawers and used one (with permission) to tie her hair up in a messy bun on top of her crown, and gathered her dirty clothes up in a now-empty bag from the thrift store.

She felt crazily uncomfortable now. There was no way she was sleeping in Brian's room--that was weird. She wasn't sleeping in the guest room--that was weird...And she wasn't going to sleep in the living room because...Her stomach fluttered and she sighed.

She found a lonely corner of the hall and leaned against the wall. Her head was pounding, but eventually calmed. She toppled over childishly into a fetal position and stared at the wall for a few moments. She really...Oh, how far she had fallen. She didn't really feel like she belonged anywhere anymore.

Her eyes closed and she started to drift in and out of sleep. It was cold in this corner. That was okay, though, it was out of the way. It was the closest thing to being invisible.

    Everything span and became blurry,

He didn't know exactly where he was and what exactly happened, but what he did know was that he collapsed. From what he recalled he heard a few voices and after a while it felt like he was being taken away somewhere. To hell? nah it was not his time yet. He struggled on to hold onto his consciousness as long as he could. Though it was blurry he could see bright light, but that was all. He soon fell unconscious and that was the end of the day for the silver haired teen.

And so the old man managed to survive the dreaded flood that ruined his house. His past experiences proved to be the greatest tool he could ever hope to obtain. The threat was over and there was nothing to worry about. Closing his eye the man let out a sigh as he reached into his pocket and brought out two items he really needed at the moment, a cigarette and a lighter to light it. Lighting the damn killing stick and taking a puff out of it, the old man sighed as he reached into his jacket pocket once more. Once he grasped it he pulled out what seemed to be a newspaper article.

With a sigh the old man read the piece of paper, he had read the paper numerous times and it brought a sense of unease to the man. "The boy will soon figure it out...so many things might go awry and everything I taught the boy will be for nothing...but still...its best he is informed by me" the old man said as clenched the paper in his hand and sighed "that damn idiotic child" the old man muttered as he began to walk off.

    DAY 10
    December 9th, Saturday
    [IMG]
    [ ◦ ◦ ]

After completing task one of her mission she lost the drive to move on. When was the last time she's slept? It was hard to recall. Everything was just so fuzzy and her body felt weak. Food would also be nice.

Being able to handle no more she collapsed on a bench somewhere. She would just slept there if it were not for a passerby that woke her and told her about the shelter given at the stadium. He even offered to give her a ride.

After accepting it Elizabeth ended staying the night there, finally restoring her body's strength with some well needed sleep and food in the morning. They even allowed showers in the locker rooms, though it took forever to get a turn. However, as nice as it was to be cramped there in the endless sea of people, she decided to leave.

The first stop was a clothes shop where she was able to buy something new to wear with the stolen money, changing into them in the store's changing room afterward. She had almost slipped up and used a credit card, but wouldn't they be able to trace that? Wishing to avoid making this mistake in the future she dumped everything in a dumpster outside, keeping only the cash. And now she had just that, in a pocket, and her dirty clothes in the shopping bag along with the gun. It was amazing how no one noticed it tucked away up till now as only her sweater had covered it before. Thank you, Lady Luck, for being on her side. Though she had a feeling she used up all of this magical luck already. So from here on out she had to play it smart, and rely on nothing but herself.

But now she really wished to know how Anthony was doing. However there was no answer when she tried to call. Had his phone been ruined in the storm? She could try and visit him, but she had no clue where Brian lived. And besides...could she really face him before even finishing this? Perhaps...just a tumblr post would do for now.

Sighing she stuck to areas near the stadium, unsure of what to do now. Should continue on with her mission, or wait for the heat of her first kill to cool off? However...since the city was focused more on the flood now did seem like the best time to get on with it. So she headed north, and ironically walked past Brian's house.

After shoving his face full of some cookies his stomach finally stopped complaining. He was going to put them away, honestly, but had passed out with them still resting on his torso. Crumbs everywhere.

He felt as if he would never awake but as morning rolled by the couch just seemed to of gotten smaller, causing the boy to fall off of it. As he would never do that on his own, no, he wasn't clumsy like that.

But even after his face made an impact with the floor and his body crushed the box of cookies he still didn't wake right away. It took a few moments for his mind to realize what had happened, and even then he only slowly got up, still dazed and groggy.

"How did I get on the floor..." he mumbled, standing up to look around. Oh. The master of logic was here, too. Sleeping. Maybe?

Rubbing his eyes he stumbled towards the stairs, however encountered a table before he could even make it a step towards his destination. He fell over it, deciding to just lay there until his energy levels were restored.

Temperance felt like a rock when she finally woke up. Her body was sore, still depleted of energy, and the cold December air made her shiver. There was no heat and at some point in the night, the cold managed to settle itself in her bones. She couldn't sleep anymore. It was too damn cold. She yawned and slowly sat up, pulling the blankets up with her.
The house was still and feint breeze passed through her room. She needed to get out of here--head somewhere with power. There was no way she could stay in her bedroom until the power eventually gets restored. She would freeze and would consistently have to wade through water to get food. Her cold fingers trailed across her waist and her breathing hitched.
Pregnant. The test said she was pregnant. Temperance was pretty certain as to whom it belonged to, but she didn't know for sure. She could go to the hospital, get tested. They would tell her just how far along she was. The idea of knowing scared her, but not knowing was just as bad. She really wanted it to be Josh's. It wouldn't be so disgusting then. It wouldn't be a monster then. It wouldn't be such an abomination.
She slowly started to climb out of bed and wrapped the blankets around her. In order to stay dry, she would need two sets of close. Temperance made her way into the closet and and dug through the piles on the floor for her old backpack. It was buried in the corner and she quickly threw a pair of jeans inside-- along with tennis shoes, a dirty towel, a pair of socks, a long-sleeved shirt and a sweatshirt. Once she were to get through the street outside her house, she would need to change immediately so she would no longer be wet.
Temperance decided to put on light clothing for the trip through the street. No point in loading on the layers just to take them off a couple minutes later. She decided on a pair of black yoga pants, a red t-shirt, red flats, and a zip-up hoodie. Temperance changed quickly and put the backpack on over her shoulders. She shoved her phone inside, along with the charger that had been plugged in by her nightstand, and began to descend the stairs.

    >Brian describes what a nice day it is compared to yesterday. He puts on kawaii, ice-cream bottoms, white shirt, and white slippers. He feels like this is a clean palette after all the bitterness that has happened so far.

    >Brian walks into the hall and see Madeline sleeping. He doesn't wake her up because he's afraid she'll slap his hand again. He heads downstairs to see Anthony collapsed by the stairs, much to his confusion. He heads to the kitchen and inspects what food is missing (just the cookies which are crushed thanks to Anthony). He opens the fridge and everything seems fine, but he ponders about how long the freshness will last. He grabs eggs, milk, bacon and then heads to the pantry to grab Bisquick and Pam. He's making everyone breakfast and hopes they appreciate it.

    >Brian finishes making breakfast (pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs) and lays the dishes on the dining room table for everyone to enjoy if they want to. Brian reflects on how he is getting into cooking, and loves that he has this opportunity to show off his culinary skills.

"Ow..." The realization he had fallen finally hit him. As did the pain.

Pushing himself off the table he moved to a sitting position, glancing around in hopes of figuring out where he was. Oh. Right. The Prince of Scarves' Palace. This was a pretty sick guest chamber, too.

Standing he looked at the fiend that tripped him, a monstrous thing of some sort. Was it laughing at him? How dare it! To teach it a lesson he kicked the thing, only to have his foot rebound in pain. However he would not show this, instead stomping it down, laughing madly. "There! Now you're know who you're messing with. I AM THE ALL POWERFUL AND ALL KNOWING ANTHONY! HAHAHA!"

Wait. The Master of Logic still slumbered! But none could sleep in his presence, his energy woke all! So...had he been taking by an evil spell?

"NOOOOOOOOO!" Sliding over the table Anthony nearly fell on Cherno, though managed to stay standing and only grab his shoulders, which he then began shaking. "You musn't fall victim to this evil! Hurry, wake now before death takes you!" This had to be The Evil Temptress' doing, it just had to! Just by staying close to her for so long this had happened. And he even warned him!

"You're still too young to die!!!"

The scent of food wafted right up the stairs and all up into Madeline's face. Her eyes opened and she yawned, groaning when she finally registered the pain in her neck from her strange sleeping position. She pushed herself upright and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. A few moments later she was up on her feet and walking slowly down the stairs. It took her a moment to remember where she was and when she did, her face flushed. Strands of frizzy hair tickled her cheeks, and her pajamas were half-twisted around her like (metaphor here).

She straightened herself out and waltzed right into the kitchen, away from whatever that kid was doing. Brian had cooked something and it smelled like heaven and great sex blended up with sunshine and rainbows. She stood awkwardly by the entrance of the kitchen and forced her eyebrows to relax. She knew she often woke up with a scowl and she didn't want to frighten scarf boy this time.

    "Do you need any help?"

The food and stuff was already out, but she was curious about drinks and the dirty dishes that would inevitably come. If not, she would possibly eat something small and move on with her life or something.
