xxxxxxxxxx There had been people in the library after all, and though Kallisti hadn't seen them, there had been voices whispering. She didn't much care for the atmosphere of the library anyway, there was something about it that disturbed her nerves. Normally, she wouldn't have let it bother her, but she was more set on edge than normal because of . . . Well . . .

Kallisti had found one of the balcony entrances of the auditorium, usually reserved for special guests such as the superintendent of the district, or the mayor, and one a rare occasion, the governor. To her knowledge, none of the other students really knew how to get up here without getting caught, but seeing as this was something of a special occasion, Kallisti thought she'd take the chance.

The auditorium lights lit up the giant room very dimly, and with her elbow propped on the railing of the balcony, and her chin resting in her hand, she watched the students below. She recognized some faces, like Brian, Chase, and Aileen, and then she saw others that were familiar in passing. She looked to the stage, seeing some of the students with sleeping bags on the wooden surface. Her sight was just able to reach the wings on the right side of the stage, and behind the curtain, she saw who she had been avoiding thinking about since she woke up.

Perhaps the library was a better place to be, after all.

In between the bookshelves, she found that there was a startling lack of students in here - was there even anyone in here? With so many students, one would think they'd take up all the space available, but she guessed that the school was bigger than she ever thought. Humorous, how these kinds of things put other things into perspective for one.

Her eyes widened a little in surprise when she saw a familiar figure laying on the floor, near the back of the library and just a few feet away from the computers; Madeline. Kallisti wondered why she was in here, and why she wasn't awake yet. It was nearly eleven o'clock by now . . . The girl looked very uncomfortable, and so Kallisti bent down and observed her a little; she looked really peaceful when she was sleeping, but there was something wrong.

" Madeline, wake up, " she said as softly as possible, " It is a little late. "

John fustratedly mashed the buttons on his phone. His fellow club members were once again muttering about recent events while they talked in the darkness. He kept his eyes on the ever rising water outsid, all the while he kept hoping his phone would start up again. Thus far it'd been hours and it still was unreceptive, same thing for all the others in his room. His mind would drift to the idiots on the email's list. God, why did he know the list but not the names. He grumpily rubbed his stomach as it rumbled his disdain.

Without answering the questions thrown at him by his fellows, he left them, stalking to the cafeteria in the dark. There's food there, there's always food there. And with no contact with his mother, Cherno, or his drama shows, John was reaching his limits of entertainment. He wished he had a rosary, anything to keep his idle hands busy in this insufferable darkness. Oh God, a heathen touched his shoulder in the dark, as if it were feeling him up. Shaking that shoulder clean he burst into the cafeteria and surveyed the crowded interior. The scent in the air made his nose curl, he shut his brain down before they could identify something he'd rather not known about. With that done he made a quick prayer that was sent up to the Lord before digging his way through the bodies littering the area that housed their only source of food.

The rain wasn't letting up, and the flooding was getting worse.

    "-to hold a candle
In the cold November rain!" Axel Rose's voice boomed from Tyler's headphones. Irony that this song plays the moment I turn the shuffle on on my Ipod... he sighed. ...How long would it rain for?
...Was this also Crestatia's doing? Somehow, Tyler had the feeling this just couldn't be a coincidence. He wasn't having luck with deciphering the code either. He'd have to try again later. At least he'd written it down... his laptop was nearly dead and obviously, with no power, he couldn't hope to charge it.
He decided to check the news while he could, hoping for some news about what was going on. He found a news site using 'Poodle' The Worlds Number One search engine whose mascot/logo was a very long dog of the appropriate breed spelling out the word on page, and he quickly located an article about this storm and the area he was in.
There wasn't much news other than it being wet and floody... which was obvious. Oh... and a little bit about how people were taking advantage of the storm to do bad stuff. ...Hmm? Apparantly two prisoners had escaped:

"in the chaos following the floods two convicts escaped from Bitter Point Penitentiary Prison, but not much information has been released. There is no-"

Unfortunately, it was at that moment the power on his laptop was completely consumed, and the screen went blank leaving Tyler surrounded by darkness, as the glow of the laptop had been the only thing illuminating his room.
Tyler picked himself up from his chair and flung himself over to his bed, laying down and facing the ceiling. He took out his phone... He needed to check on Quin. He hadn't heard much from her since this whole thing had started, and well he was obviously worried. Crestatia could kill any one of them. ...Quin was in danger alongside everyone else. Tyler figured he should probably text Abby too. However, he was unable to check on anyone else as those were the only two numbers he had from the list. ...He needed to remember to make an effort to exchange numbers with the others at some point. It could just prove useful.

He didn't respond, but that was okay. She was too embarrassed by how open she was being with her feelings. It was just so comforting knowing she wasn't alone anymore. They were just sitting there on the raft and the current carried it back outside to the onslaught of the downpour. Her body was colder now and definitely wetter. She just hoped nothing would get ruined.

The current carried them for what seemed like an eternity. Temperance didn't want to risk pulling out her phone to actually see how long it been. This was perfect, even if they were drenched and freezing. She would take this over being stuck in that gas station. This part of town now officially harbored some very bad memories. She would never come here again. Sleep was beginning to feel inevitable. She was just to tired and with the heavy rain it was damn near impossible for her to keep her eyes open anyway.

Just as her body was about to give in, there was shouting. Not from cherno, he seemed to have passed out beside her, but from ahead. Boats. Boats! Thank god there were boats and police officers inside them. She breathed a heavy sigh of relief and waved her arm at them. They pulled up next to the makeshift raft and began to pull them into the lifeboat. It rocked a little as all the weight shifted to one side, but then righted itself once again.

"Th-thank you." Temperance's whole body did one huge shiver as they handed her a dry blanket and a cup of coffee. The lifeboat had an overhead tarp, helping minimize how much water they got hit with. The coffee was disgusting, but she didn't complain. She watched as they laid cherno down beside her in the boat. It wasn't until then that she noticed his hand? What happened to it? Why was the bandage all bloody? Temperance was pulled out of her reverie as the cop began asking her questions.

"Miss, can you tell me your names?"
    "M-my, my n-name is t-temperance and...and th-that is ch-cherno."
"Do you know how he injured his hand?"
    "N-no s-sir."
    "Where do you live?"
"Near the cemetery. It's pr-probably flooded."
    "And your friend?"
"I don't know." What was the point of this? Couldn't they just take them somewhere to get warm and dry? The Q&A seemed unnecessary. "Where are you taking us?"
"We would normally suggest the hospital, but it's been evacuated for emergency purposes. The next best place would probably be the high school. It's on high ground. You're both students correct?"
"Y-yes sir." She nodded and yawned quietly. The officer didn't say anything else.

temperance ran her fingers through cherno's wet hair as he slept silently beside her. He wasn't so bad after all. She shook her head, trying to clear her mind of any unwanted idea. Nothing could happen for any of them and even if they could, there was the big looming question of the box in her purse. If it was true, no one would want her anyway.

Temperance sighed and watched as the rain poured down around them. Would this storm ever end?

She recognized Quin's voice without looking up. This was upsetting. Everything was upsetting lately. It felt as though nothing would remain unchanged or untouched during these 100 Days. Everything would shift and eventually fall through. She did not want to change. It took far too much effort to become who she was. Changing...No, reverting back would be devastating not only for her but for anyone around her.

Her body still ached, but it was getting better. She would have to ask Yuna what happened. She was disturbed by the fact that the girl seemed not to be around anymore. Still, Madeline swallowed her anger and turned her attention back to Quin.

"Yeah," she flicked a glance back towards the windows. "still raining, huh...?"

How long would it last? This was clearly Crestatia's doing, but why? They were wasting so much time ... unless there was something they were supposed to accomplish here. Her stomach flipped and she pulled herself up on shaky legs. This was humiliating, but what could she do? The world spun so she tried to steady it, furrowing her brows and focusing her eyes on the front desk. She took a few unbalanced steps forward, feeling like a child who was walking for the first time and hating herself for it.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what happened." She muttered. When she reached the desk, she steadied herself on it and turned to face Quin again. Little by little, she was finding the need to disguise herself around the dark-haired girl needless. It was inevitable she would slip up again.

When she finally faced Quin, she got a vibe that something wasn't quite right. She was tempted to ask what it was, but she didn't feel as though she should. She wasn't sure if she truly cared yet, and with care or not it would feel invasive. Maybe she would ask later.

"Do you know where everyone else is?"

xxxxxxxxxx " Yeah, " Madeline replied, and Kallisti hadn't realized that she had already been awake, " Still raining, huh . . . ? "

She peered out one of the large, thick-glassed windows of the library; indeed, it was still raining. She wondered if it would ever let up because at this rate, it was going to flood worse than what it probably was right now . . . " Yes, it is still raining, and I doubt that it has any intention of letting up soon . . . " She watched as Madeline stood, obviously shaky on her feet, and she frowned as she took unbalanced steps.

" I'm sorry. I don't know what happened. " Kallisti perked an eyebrow, she didn't know why the girl was saying sorry - she didn't even know anything happened, just being locked in the school and all, but that wasn't Madeline's fault at all. She decided to reply to her like anyway, " You do not have to apologize, I merely thought you were sleeping in here. It seems almost hellish everywhere else. " And her thoughts fell back to her late-night encounter . . . " I - I would have preferred the solitude of the library, had the Orchestra Hall not been available. " She quickly chided herself for letting her voice falter.

" Do you know where everyone else is? " Madeline asked her, and the air around them felt comfortable. It was no longer hostile or fake like before.

" . . . I spotted Aileen, Brian, and Chase in the auditorium together. " she began, " And last night, Jonathan came to me with Cherno's number - who does not appear to be here, and I have not seen Tyler, Miss Abigail, Miss Temperance, Miss Elizabeth, nor Anthony. I assume the good part of them are at home, wading out this storm . . . " she explained, " What of yourself, has anything happened, or have you seen anyone? "

Chase was a little confused, what was Aileen pointing at? After a few moments he noticed Brian "Oh, good morning Brian" Chase smiled "Sorry I didn't see you there. Really it's just that it's still dark" He apologized "Have you two been okay? The weather seems to be a little bad" Chase giggled to himself. 'A little'

"What of yourself, has anything happened, or have you seen anyone? "

"Yuna was with me...Then I blacked out and woke up here feeling awful. I wrote down a code I found from the email, but... " She looked around from the piece of paper, her shoulders falling. She didn't see it. Of course not. Crestatia wouldn't let her keep it, woulds he? ...Unless Yuna had run off with it, the bitch. Maybe that's why she left her here. She felt the same aggression that had launched her towards Temperance at Lacey's build up inside her, but there was no one around that she wanted to slap so she released it and smiled briefly towards Quin.

"I think we should go...I'm getting the feeling we're meant to be doing something here, and this storm won't end until we're done. It's just a hunch, but... Well, it makes no sense to keep us trapped in here for no reason."

She had no idea what they could possibly do, but alas. She didn't want to drown...She wondered about the condition of her house. Her heart ached with the thought of her tiny little basement room being flooded. All of her dresses and technology. She didn't think once about her mother or her safety.

Instead of standing around, M pushed herself away from the desk. Her knees felt like sponges and she was just a little bit tempted to kneel back down on the floor and resume her crawling. Instead, she took slow steps towards the library door. Today was eating day. She wasn't going to starve to death of all things. She had to be very careful about what meals to skip and how long she went without food.

When she opened the door, she was greeted to absolutely nothing but empty hallways and the sound of relentless rain. What time was it? Surely someone had to be about, even if it was a teacher. It wasn't...too strange yet, considering that this was just one hall, but on her way to the auditorium (hopefully with Quin) she found no one.

"Mm, Quin? When you were headed to the library, was everything this...quiet?" M reached out to open a door to the auditorium as she spoke.

Nope, nope, nope. No more bullshit, no more crazy, please.

xxxxxxxxxx When Madeline mentioned that Yunalesca had been with her, she gazed around the library, " I wrote down a code I found from the e-mail, but . . . " But, what? Yunalesca didn't take it, did she? And if she did, under what circumstances? She better not have stolen it, or Kallisti would be very mad. Madeline said no more on the subject, and for a moment, they could only hear the rain, " I think we should go . . . I'm getting the feeling we're meant to be doing something else here, and this storm won't end until we're done. " the other went on, and Kallisti looked at her strangely, " It's just a hunch, but . . . Well, it makes no sense to keep us trapped in here for no reason. "

Did she think Crestatia had something to do with this? Originally, Kallisti might have thought her mad, but with everything that's happened in the last week and a half, the idea was no longer so far fetched. School was one of the only places where all of the people in the e-mail were at one time or another . . . " I wonder, " she began calmly, " If we are to do something, I am curious to what it might be . . . "

Despite everything, her mind came to home; was her father okay? Was their house okay? They lived around very many trees, so perhaps they were safe, for now . . . But if this rain persisted, she didn't know what would happen. And what of Tyler? Surely, he was okay - he had to be. Perhaps she was stressing for nothing, and he was at home, waiting for this wretched storm to end like the rest of them.

Madeline was still quite shaky on her feet, and although Kallisti wanted to help her, she wasn't sure her companion would want that. Despite everything, both girls still had their pride. So the two left the library and by a few minutes of walking, Kallisti could tell they were going in the direction of the auditorium. Her face paled - she hoped he wasn't in there, she almost even prayed. She didn't know what she would do if he came to see her, and she was with Madeline. If looks could kill . . . she was sure Madeline would die. The halls were empty, and while her companion wasn't looking at her, she focused and breathed. Everything would be okay.

" Mm, Quin? " began Madeline, breaking their silence, " When you were headed to the library, was everything this . . . quiet? " They were at the auditorium now, and Kallisti's breath subtly hitched. Closing her eyes for a moment, she focused on the question and then her surroundings of here and before.

" There had been small murmur among the other students, but nothing more than that. " she replied calmly, " Though I do suppose it was . . . more audible than it is now. I do not recollect it feeling so . . . tense. " Her mind quickly turned to the code, " What do you assume was the fate of the code you had written down? " she asked, when they were walking down the aisle, " Do you suppose that . . . Miss Yunalesca took it? "

"Oh, good morning Brian. Sorry I didn't see you there. Really it's just that it's still dark. Have you two been okay? The weather seems to be a little bad.

Brian nodded slightly. "Good morning Chase. It's okay." He looked to Aileen, in hope that she would reply, but she just seemed frozen. He let his tense shoulders fall as he looked back to Chase. "Oh, don't mind Aileen. She seems to have... zoned out at the moment." Brian chuckled awkwardly and continued. "I think I'm speaking for both of us when I say that we're doing fine, thank you." Another chuckle and a smile. "How about you, Chase? How've you been holding up?"

In wait for Chase's reply, Brian let his mind wander to his home. He worried at how it was holding up with the flooding... were Mom and Dad even home? Maybe they couldn't leave work because of the inclement weather. With a barley audible gasp, a realization came into view. Lindsy... if Mom and Dad weren't there... she'd be home by herself.

His heart began to race. Oh no, oh no, oh no. His breathing quickened, his chest rising and falling rapidly. No, no, no, no, no, no! With her poor heart conditions, the flood would most certainly do a number on her. Sickening scenarios played through Brian's head. Lindsy having a heart attack. Lindsy drowning. Lindsy crying in the corner of her pale rose room.

No... no... calm down Brian. Mom and Dad are probably home, and Lindsy is safe with them They're going to be okay...

They're all going to be okay.

" Do you suppose that . . . Miss Yunalesca took it? "

She didn't want to just flat out accuse Yuna, but the girl had left Madeline there to basically die and she was no where to be found now. Still, M shrugged without another word,as though she wasn't totally convinced and pulled the auditorium door open. When she did, it was basically empty except for a few other's. Of course, they were schoolmates she recognized. They were on Crestatia's list. She ran a shaky hand through her tangled hair and sighed. She did not want to be social, really. She was already regretting coming here to the auditorium--surely there had to be somewhere else to go and some way to stall this.

She was hungry. She wanted something to eat, or at least to drink. She had to wonder at that point if it was even worth being here and trying to interact with these people. She saw Brian, Aileen and Chase.

    "Hey!"

Her voice was louder than she had meant for it to be. It sounded more like a warning shout rather than a greeting. Her cheeks burned.

    "Um. Are you guys okay?"

She didn't care, she just didn't know what else to say.

The boats pulled up to the edge of the water, surrounding the school. Temperance was still shaky and Cherno unconscious. The police officer helped her out first and then stepped out after, lifting Cherno's limp body up. The rain poured down on them. The tarp had been a nice reprieve from the onslaught of rain. She helped the officer drag him up the damp grassy walkway. Wet grass squished beneath her feet, but honestly, she didn't know if it was the grass or her socks. She was so soaked. They rain was working against them for sure.
The trip up to the doors took what felt an eternity. The weight on her shoulder slowly started to grow heavier. Temperance looked to her left confused, only to see that the police officer was now gone. Cherno's body weighed down on her and she almost toppled over. Where did he go? She looked back over her shoulder to see that the boats had vanished as well. What was going on? Temperance dragged him the best she could the rest of the way to the door.
Thank heavens it was unlocked. She pulled open the door with her free hand, but Cherno's dead weight was making it difficult to move. The halls were eerily quiet and it appeared that the backup generators were on. Where is everyone? Did they evacuate the school before the flooding? Wouldn't the cop have said something? She moved to a nearby wall and tried to set him down as gently as possible. Temperance slumped down next to him and elbowed in his side. "Cherno. Cherno wake up. Something's not right." She lightly patted his cheek and poked him in the side some more. "Wake up."

Lindsy... Lindsy... Lindsy... must find Lindsy.

    "Hey!"

Oh shit! Brian looked up, startled. This voice... it sounded familiar. He groaned under his breath. It was Madeline... oh, and she had company. He squinted to see Quin, which relieved his tension slightly.

"Um, are you guys okay?" Like she cares anyway. He looked to Chase and Aileen, who were both silent. With a sigh, Brian shook his head and replied with a blunt, "We're fine, thank you. How have you two been holding up?"

...Why the hell would they come over here--especially Madeline? Just to slap his hand away again? The memory left a bitter taste in his mouth. He hated bitter things.

Madeline took a few more steps, inching closer to the trio. She could feel the tension swirling around the auditorium, but she didn't care. It actually gave her a bit of a confidence boost. Madeline was most uncomfortable around those who seemed to genuinely like her. She was most uncomfortable with loyalty and kindness. Tension was okay.

    "Fine..."

She answered for herself, leaving out that blackout and pain aching throughout her.

"It's too quiet around here. I haven't seen anyone not on the list since I woke up...
" She murmured, taking a seat in the middle of the back row. Her legs thanked her. "Have you seen...Yunalia today?" She never bothered learning her full name. She was bad with names, but she knew Brian's and Chase's. Then there was Aileen...?

    ...Whatever.

    W-- w-what?

Cherno jumped awake, letting out a yelp. W-was someone poking him? Half frozen, with his arms up held defensively in the air, he slowly turned his head with a cartoonish expression towards his right side. Was-- who--

    Temperance?

    ...

    Temperance.

"Jesus! What happened! Where are--" Crack. A strike of lightning. He looked around. Familiar hallways. Everything was dark. Was this the school? He cocked his ears to carefully hear the loud thundering and the familiar machine-gun pelting of the rain outside. It was the school. Right, the school. Ugh-- shit. Cherno slowly brought his wounded hand up from near his wet coat that lay beside him. Fuck! It stung violently, sending darts of pain through his arm. He clenched his teeth and began padding around for any bottle of painkillers. He tried to move onto his knees but his legs were still shaky, and he slumped to the floor. Something. Anything. Cherno flopped his arms around his coat like a fish, desperately looking for water. There! That!

He mashed around to grab an open bottle of painkillers with his shaky hand and poured a few pills down his throat as if he were taking a swig of whiskey. Ugh. He coughed for a bit. Terrible bitter taste. But slowly -- slowly, the pain in his hand subsided, and it did not seem as bad anymore.

He shifted his body back next to Temperance.

    Temperance.

She almost died back there. Fuck. He-- he "saved" her, right? She was okay. She had to be okay. Everything out there seemed so surreal that Cherno's mind seemed to want to just block it out. Did he just get her further into this mess? He felt terrible. So terrible.

"T-- Temperance." He said, taking in lungfuls of air. Large droplets of water dripped down from the strands of his wet hair. Having just awoken, his chest heaved. He was too exhausted from everything. What the fuck was he thinking back there?

"T-- Temperance." He turned his head. "Y--You aren't hurt, are you?"

Temperance cocked an eyebrow in confusion. Hurt? Was she hurt? Her hands patted at her body quickly and then she shook her head. "N-no. I think I'm fine. Thanks to you." She smiled at him and then frowned. Her saliva began to get warmer and her throat seemed to be closing on itself. There was a knot in her stomach and her hand flew up to cover her mouth. How long had it been? What time was it? It had to be about noon. Noon... That's about what time it started yesterday.
She still hadn't been able to check inside the box, but it seemed pretty obvious. Temperance rushed to her feet and ran over to the nearest trashcan, her body shaking. She held the edge of the trash can and buried her face inside. It smelled foul and only made things worse. How could there even be anything to throw up? A couple granola bars, a bottle of water, and a cup of coffee. That's what she's consumed since the vomiting ended yesterday. She needed the nausea pills in her purse, if they were even intact. They could have been ruined. Temperance had no idea what the state of her purse was like right now. Please. Please just stop. I just want to be fine.
Temperance closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and heaved again. Would it ever end? After everything that had happened so far, would vomiting get the best of her? She was ready to pass out. Exhaustion had already been heavily wearing on her body and now this. This infernal puking. Temperance groaned between heaves. Finally it seemed to subside, but she didn't leave the trashcan. It was safe there. If it started again, she didn't want to have to run some more. She sighed and rested her cheek on the edge of the lid. It was undoubtedly filthy, but she didn't care. She just didn't care.

Some kind of soup, that what was being served over at the cafeteria. It look like some chicken soup but he wasn't really sure, all he knew was it was warm and it tasted quite alright. With bowel in hand Altair began to walk away and begin to eat it as he walked. As he walked on he noticed a familiar face in the crowd. Taking a few second to recall the name, Altair smiled once he recalled it and walked up to the teen "yo John nice to see you. I take it your off to get something to eat?" Altair said with a smile. He recalled the plans with Cherno but that was obviously cancelled

    Uh.

Cherno was confused at this display. He was, he was-- happy, that she was fine. Thanks to him! Ha. Haha. Ah lord. Cherno had blushed then. Scratching the back of his head. Why was he so awkward. But right now? She had rushed over to the garbage can and -- and eeeeergh fuck did she just ... vomit? Shit that is disgusting. Oh goddamnit. Cherno's eyes widened. He was confused.

She said she was fine! He tried keeping his palpitations at this display of uncleanliness to himself. Come on, Cherno.

"H-haha. Did you-- did you just. Uh." He struggled to find the words. Come on Cherno. Fuck! You rafted down Coy City on a makeshift sign and you can't even do this?! Useless! "You s--said you were fine just, just a second ago ... h-haha ..."

He gulped as he thought back to any previous interactions. Oh right. Right. The entire reason she went to the pharmacy. The nausea. Shoot, she had been sick all this time too! Cherno grit his teeth. How could he forget?

"What in the world did you eat? What's with that nausea of yours, sister? Goddamnit. Is there anyone-- anyone else in here? We-- we uh, need to get you some medicine!"

He struggled to raise himself. He did very slowly, his legs quaking like trees, but he was eventually able to hold himself against the wall, panting.

Yuna sat up after sleeping at school. What happened yesterday seemed to be too much, because this morning she was as sick as a dog. Yuna put her hand in her pocket, and felt something. She pulled out what was a crinkled up piece if paper. She straightened to t I see if there was anything of interest written in there, and there was!

Numbers. All random. They seemed to miss something. Is this what Madeline had been doing in the library on the computer? She got her phone and started searching, just to see what the numbers meant.

temperance sighed heavily. She didn't look over to see him now standing, but she could hear it. He really was being sweet. She shook her head and took a deep breath. It was...it was okay. For now. She felt remotely better. "I'm fine. R-really. Just...just a bug." she took another deep breath and then stood up straight. Water. There was another bottle in her purse, which was inconveniently located next to cherno.

temperance wiped her mouth off on her wet sleeve and stumbled back over to the wall. Her knees buckled and she hunched over the small bag defensively. Somehow, she had to manage to pull out the water and nausea pills without him seeing the rectangular box beside them. She kept it hidden underneath her and cautiously pulled out the two items needed. Untwisting the cap with her cold shaky fingers proved to be a challenge, but she managed. After popping the pill in her mouth, she shoved them back in her purse and closed it quickly. How long could she pretend like nothing was the matter?

she slumped down completely on the floor and rested her head against the side of his knee. "we need to change. We'll get sick if we don't dry off." temperance coughed lightly and sleep almost consumed her, at least, until she remembered how quiet the school was. "cherno," she murmured, "why is it so empty?" it was why she woke him up after all. Something was amiss. When her phone restarted, it had buzzed to life with messages from the other cheerleaders. Some saying how exciting being trapped in the school was, others complaining.

they couldn't have possibly been evacuated while they were on their way here. And the police...they just vanished. Was this like before, with the auditorium? Was Crestatia trying to make it so that no one could interfere?
