For what seemed like forever, they just kind of cried and leaned against each other. It was comforting, but also made her feel a bit ashamed. It was dark outside, now, and she wondered where Quin was, and if she was still safe and unharmed. It made her cry harder, but she found that no tears were actually coming after a while. Eventually, her sobs quieted into sniffles and then into nothing. Still, though recovered, she leaned against Temperance, afraid that if she moved away, the tears would come back.

A bit after that, Temperance was the one to move away. Madeline shuddered, but accepted the water she was offered with a hollow thank you.

The bus drove on for hours and into an area she had never seen before. This was a city, alright. Tall buildings rose up in every direction and the streets were busy with people. It seemed they were in some kind of downtown area, and before she had time to really process what was going on or where they were, the bus parked at a transit center.

Harley laid on Marina's lap, lapsing in and out of a restless sleep. His mind couldn't stop reeling on everything, but when he felt the bus come to a stop, he knew he had to get his shit together. He stood up, grabbed Marina's hand tightly, and led her off the bus into a city he felt he had never seen before.

He stood on the sidewalk, looking around for anything familiar. People passed by them in goes, no one really noticed a bunch of raggedy teenagers getting off a bus.

Madeline stood and wiped her eye. This **** was getting hella claustrophobic up in here, so she waiting for Temperance to move and exited the bus, weaving through the disgusting crowds of people until she was on the outskirts of the center. It was cold.

Jessie walked off the bus with her hands in her pockets and a strong urge to cry. She didn't know if the others knew the names of any of the 3 others but wasn't in the mood to ask.

She walked away from the bus as soon as she got off of it.

Eventually the bus finally pulled up to a station. With a long tired sigh, Bernie shouldered the bag she was carrying and stood up from her spot. Careful not to jostle everything around too much, she made her way out into the isle and off the bus. She stood by the bus stop waiting for the others.

"Time to go," she told Madeline. Temperance stood up a bit shaky and grabbed the bag off the floor. She held a hand out to Madeline to help her stand before exiting the bus. She slipped the machete off her waist, not wanting to draw attention and shoved it inside the bag.

When the bus pulled up to the station, Harley pulled himself off of Marina's lap and grabbed her hand. They stood together and she scooped up the box she had been carrying. She exited with him and stood on the cement waiting for the rest of them to get off, still holding his hand. The gun was hiding inside the box and the phone resting in her pocket.

Devyn didn't seem to have a problem with the both of them sleeping in the same bed, but that was to be expected. She didn't want Kallisti to run away. Before, she had said that she didn't want Kallisti to be afraid that she was going to be killed, but she was. To stop existing sounded . . . scary. What was that abyss like?

She wondered if she would get to see Madeline again before that time. Would Devyn keep her by her side until she was killed, or . . . ? Kallisti gave a little laugh; Devyn might offer her up to Crestatia. Haha. How funny. What was she worth to Crestatia? Nothing, probably. She had not been an effective pawn or player. She had been possessed once. Once. And that was to be killed.

It made her feel a little sour. If Crestatia had a soft spot for anyone, it was rightfully Devyn. Then again, without the chance meeting in this session with Chester, she might not have even . . . Part of her success was luck. Kallisti was a little jealous of that luck. The rest of it could be mimicked.

Still not fully sure of sharing this large bed ( she had a tendency to snuggle up to close things in her sleep - it was quite embarrassing ), Kallisti slipped under the covers and laid her head on the pillow

    " . . . Good night, Kallisti."

    " . . . Good night, Devyn."

Kallisti curled up with emotion and sleepiness washing over her, closing her eyes and drifting off.

Folding her arms across her chest, she wondered what the hell they were supposed to do now. Casually, she regrouped with the others and gave them each a meaningful look, clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth. Her eyes were red and puffy with tears.

"Does ... anyone know where we are?"

"Does ... anyone know where we are?"

Bernie looked around the bus station. From the windows she could see that it was a busy city and they sky had gone dark. She redirected her gaze back to Madeline and shook her head. They definitely weren't in Brookridge anymore and she would know less about American geography than the rest of them. "N-no. We... we need tsu find zomewhere tsu stay." They could explore the city and learn more about their new destination tomorrow. All she wanted now was sleep. That wouldn't happen so long as they stood at a bus station. It was late. The station was nearly empty. She wondered what time it could be that a transit center was so empty. A heavy sigh escaped her. She felt weary. Sleep--that was the only thing on her mind.

It was pathetic, his behavior, but he was glad Marina didn't let go of his hand. He needed something tangible to hold on to, just to make sure he wasn't losing his perception of reality. Some reality this was. Vanille was dead. Kallisti was going to die. He knew it was true. Marina kept saying she would live. He doubted it.

    Where did they go now?

"Does . . . anyone know where we are?"

Harley looked at Madeline. Her eyes were red and puffy. She had been crying a lot. He didn't like Madeline for a lot of reasons, but they had something in common now. It was probably better not to think on it too much but he found comfort, some only, that they were going through similar things.

He looked around some more. He had been traveling a lot, when he was younger. Lorinda used to take them to all sorts of places, especially him when he would get kicked out of one of the many schools he went to. After searched around, he saw a tower that was familiar. A landmark. It was an old cathedral . . . Something clicked.

Something clicked. "I know where we are. Kind of." he announced tiredly, "The city of Percival . . . North of Vashington . . . Far away from Brookridge, I think." God, of all the times not to know a place . . . "What do we do?" It was one thing to be in another state, but to be in . . . another country. Candiah wasn't a pad country, but it was weird, here.

They needed to find somewhere to sleep. To keep a place for a while.

With a nod, she turned on her heel and gazed around. There had to be a hotel around here, somewhere, and assuming they had enough cash--or the hotel owners were kind enough to let them stay anyway, they should be fine...Yeah. Yeah. Madeline found herself not caring much for where they were. The was no one back in Brookbridge, or Coy, for her anyway.

"Should we walk for a bit, or maybe...a couple of taxis? I don't know if anyone has any money for. I don't..."

It didn't feel nice to say, but she shrugged and gazed back to the bus. It's not every day you're forced underground to hide from bombs, summon a demon and get kidnapped by some pyscho cunt. For a moment, she thought she imagined something moving in the corner of her eye. Her body was experiencing chills, and she still needed a hospital pretty badly. As she went to turn back towards the others, she saw it again. A shadowy figure dashed into the crowds, seen from her peripheral. Her heart started to pound in her chest and she swiveled back towards the bus.

The front window of the bus was sprayed with blood so badly, she couldn't see inside anymore. Had the driver been ... killed? Panicked, she turned towards Temperance--trying to get her attention. When she was unresponsive, Madeline tugged on the corner of Harley's shirt and nodded towards the bus, afraid of saying anything and causing any chaos. They needed to get out of here. Now.

Jessie cringed at the answer to where the city was. Of all the places they could be dropped off they were in Candiah. Lovely. Absolutely lovely.

Jessie closed her eyes, she was starting to feel the tired everyone else looked like they were feeling. It was all just awful. Jessie scratched the back of her head and spoke, "Oh..."

Jessie had reached in her pocket and sighed loudly as she spoke, "The last thing I was worried about there was checking to see if I had lost my wallet..."

And I wasn't worried at all when I was dead.

Jessie looked at the group and shrugged, "I could go and ask someone in one of the stores if there is anywhere we co-" Jessie stopped herself when she looked over at the stores and the ones she looked at appeared to be closed, "Well, it's a city... maybe there is somewhere open 24 hours... is it a Sunday?"

Harley responded oddly to the tug on his shirt, and looked down to see Madeline, looking urgent. When she nodded towards the bus, he looked at it. It was night time, so he couldn't tell if the lights were off or . . . Oh. Shit. That was blood. There was something moving around them.

All of his focus and energy went into observing the area around them and the best place to go in this situation. God, his head. Ugh. He couldn't think right. They needed a place to go . . . At the corner of the block, he spotted a hotel. They needed a place for the night.

"C'mon . . ." he murmured to the others, trying to subtly alert them to the danger. He began to walk down the block, casually as he could, towards the hotel. It felt like an eternity was passing, but the crosswalk was reached. He even whistled casually, waiting for the light to change so that they could cross. Everything felt different, here. They were in a completely different world than the one they had been in before . . .

"We need to blend in, somehow . . ." They didn't have any money, how would they do that? A bank . . . Harley needed a bank. His college fund would never be dove into . . . Was that really okay? He never really planned to go to college in the first place. "Any ideas?" he asked Madeline as he walked along, looking out for anything suspicious. He was leaning towards going to a bank to withdraw money, to use for clothing and a hotel . . . "I wanna get a hotel room."

The hushed tone of the girl named Madeline caught his attention and his eyes trailed over towards where the girl was directing to, Septimus raised an eyebrow at the sudden scene of blood on the windshield of the bus. It was only a mere moment since they merely got out of the bus and already this had happened. None of the other civilians had managed to notice the blood so far, so for the moment they were safe. Septimus knew this would definitely not last long an for now they needed to get out immediately before the police arrived. Sure there really was not much proof that would lead to their arrest, but the questioning of the police would be a tedious and wasteful moment.

Following Harley's words, Septimus followed the others and silently walked along with the others. "Money should not be an issue at the moment" Septimus told Harley calmly as he glanced forward a bit. "At the moment I have a good share of cash on me...a simple visit to the bank would remedy any other future outcome...but regardless we should still be wary of our spending in case we should run out when we most need it" Septimus said calmly. Money was a trivial thing that was needed to survive, but it was something Septimus wasn't really all that stingy about. "A hotel would be the best place to head off to...that way we have a place to stay and we do not have to move around in such a big group" Septimus said warily in case other civilians had been keeping tabs on them.

Following along swiftly, she set her eyes on the hotel as well. That was convenient. The place did not look very ... nice, which was odd to her, but maybe it'd be cheap. It was probably just fine...Her standards had always been a bit too high, and after being in such elaborate places since the start of this game, they had shot up through the roof.
"Any ideas? I want to get a hotel room"

Madeline pressed her lips together, ashamed.

"One idea, yeah." They continued walking and someone else spoke up.

"Money should not be an issue at the moment. At the moment I have a good share of cash on me...a simple visit to the bank would remedy any other future outcome...but regardless we should still be wary of our spending in case we should run out when we most need it"
She exhaled. That would save her the trouble of executing her plan. Her cheeks flushed. What was wrong with her? She missed Quin. She missed Thomas. She missed having someone. Her eye burned with tears and the other...the 'bad' one stung. Ugh.

"Motel might be better. Less people. Low maintenance and much easier to get rooms. Plus we look like we're about to have a filthy orgy, and I think that girl," he pointed at Madeline, "Is about to drop or something. I don't think she can even see out of that eye..." he quieted down and tried to dissolve back onto their little crew, sticking to the side closer to the street invade a car got too close. He kept an eye out for exploding cars ever since he emerged from his safety tree and rejoined the bus kids. He couldn't believe they were dragged all the way to the north. He hoped his parents were alive, he just wanted to help these guys and see his old stupid room at home again.

Harley listened quietly to Septimus' voice over the crowds of people. Fantastic - seemed like he wasn't the only loaded one. They needed to find a bank. He had been mostly walking without direction, but since he knew what he needed, he began to scan around for a bank.

They really stood out in this area, didn't they? People seemed to notice them left and right, and since they were moving in a big, sort of awkward group.

Well, if Septimus had money on him, then it would be fine. He quickly found a hotel, asked Septimus for his money, and checked them out one large room that contained three beds and lots of chairs. He didn't know how long they would be here, so he reserved a total of three nights for them. It cost them a pretty penny, but it would be alright.

They took a ride up the elevator, towards the fifth floor and Harley opened it to reveal a large room with three neatly made beds. The beds were pretty big, but he had a feeling people wouldn't want to be sharing them with one and other. He decided to snag one for himself, Marina, and Madeline, if she wanted it. Or Bernie. He'd rather none of the girls sleep on the ground.

"Alright. We're here for the night, take a shower if you want, but we don't have other clothing . . ." he said, "Or you could go down to the gift shop and buy something to change into. We'll go out for clothing when we wake up."

He yawned, the days catching up with him. He didn't know what day it was. He didn't know if Kallisti was still alive. He didn't know what would happen to them next. All he knew is that he was exhausted, and he crashed just a few minutes after laying down.

Grateful, Madeline took off her shoes and climbed into her bed quickly. She was exhausted. The feeling of the cool sheets against her skin felt orgasmic, to say the very least. Before going to sleep, she shyly offered Temperance half of her bed. Then she curled up and closed her eyes, going the fuck to sleep and hoping they weren't followed.

He was ignored. This seemed to be some kind of idiotic theme for this group. He made sure to keep his head down until they reached their shared rooms, which only made him groan outwardly before he tugged a top blanket off the bed furthest from everyoneone and curled up on the floor to sleep. He was out likes light.

Septimus though heard somebody speaking earlier at what he thought was saying something about an orgy, but in the end his mind tuned it out and he went along with what he was doing with the other. After handing over the money that was needed Septimus walked along with the others and entered the room that they obtained. Sharing really was their only option at the moment. They really couldn't afford to stay separated and it would have been far more costly to merely book more room. The room had three beds and it was obvious that all of them were not gaining a bed. Septimus really did not feel right about having the ladies and weakened sleep on anything else that was not a bed so Septimus merely chose to sleep on a nearby sofa. Without a word Septimus collapsed on the chair and closed his eyes as he drifted off to sleep.
