At the sheer mention of beating up the Fairwyn guards, Asterion didn't respond at Garret with words or a scoff, but merely closed his eyes as a small grin crept across his face at the sheer thought of it. It would have been quite the blast to do that and he was so looking forward to it, but he knew it was foolish to even do something like that.

Going back into the Hall probably meant that whatever held them back would take action once more until Marina's game was over. He wasn't sure about this but they needed at least some caution. He was pretty sure none of them held a masking spell like the guard had before and he was unsure if his power negation would stop whatever held them there.

His thoughts were drawn over to the familiar drunken female valen that had walked into the bar and Asterion merely groaned as he rubbed his temples. "So...while the others are out doing things, I do hope we don't waste our time here getting drunk..." Asterion said. Closing his eyes as he crossed his arms "We could always return to Aether...or...possibly we could explore around Fairwyn as well and possibly get in contact with whoever rules this place?....or just get drunk and stay here..." Asterion said, saying the last one with a groan. He was getting tired of merely doing nothing and though he wished he could have joined the others, he figured their group was big enough.

In the time that Vex had spent listening to Gale speak, he noticed that some of them had left the bar, another one walked out but for different reasons from what he could tell. Now since he wasn't sitting with the group that had walked off, he was curious as to why they walked out the bar.

It was possible that they just left just to get some fresh air, and it was possible that they left to look around. Both options were likely. The question was however, which was it

Garret looked around the library, looking for anything that might be useful. Though, to be perfectly frank, he wasn't liking being in there one bit. The dilapidated excuse for a building didn't exactly seem to be holding up too well. Not to mention that a few of the books he was picking out had an ungodly amount of dust caked all over them. It was wholly disgusting.

" HelloooooOoOOOooo? " He heard from within. He wondered who it was for a little bit before returning to looking for anything that might be useful in deciphering that book Marina had.

It wasn't too long before the source of the voice revealed herself. " Hey, you should tell me what you guys are doing here. " The juvenile Valen commanded. Well, he didn't like the tone she had, but he also didn't see any reason not to tell her.

"Oh, well, we're just looking for information on ancient and foreign languages." He said as he put a dusted-off book back where he found it. "We're trying to decipher what's in the book Marina had with her. So far, no luck. Though, I would've preferred if we could find the necessary information in a, well, cleaner place than this one." The thief quipped as waved at the particles flying about. "Wanna help?" It would be better if there were more people actively looking for this information.

Only a few people noticed Sienna reenter the bar after she ran off from her "sister."

How rude, she thought, why isn't anybody noticing me? I should be respected, even though I'm not the most popular Valen or the Valen that is the nicest.

"Hey...." Sienna started to squeal again, "....why are all of you ignoring me?! I might not be so popular around here, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't interact with me!!!!!"

A person she didn't recognize (it wasn't even a Valen) turned to her and asked, "... you O.K. missy?"

"No, I am NOT alright," Sienna replied, "Everyone is ignoring me, except you, and my sister said I had too much to drink!!!!"

"Well, your sister's wrong, there is never too much to drink. I
t always feels better to have more."

She smiled,
"thank you, sir, for proving that my sister was wrong. Now I just need to get more people to notice me!"

The man looked puzzled,
"Sir? My name's not 'Sir', it's Xanthias."

Oops, I guess they don't use titles in Fairwyn, "Oh, sorry Xanthias. I'm Sienna, by the way!"

She sat down and decided that instead of Khortytsa, she will order a glass or two of the bar's finest white wine. After she got one glass, she gulped it down,
ahhhh....

Then, she got up, but only to collapse again, after which she screamed,
"Help!!!! I fell down and I can't get up!!!!!"

Daphne waved goodbye to Mimi as she departed with the group bound for the library, leaving the Valen alone outside the chaotic bar. He sighed, and balanced between her heels and the balls of her feet, her blonde hair rustling slightly. She didn't feel like going back into the bar, but with Mimi gone, she had nothing to do out there anymore. She grumbled to herself softly as she walked back into the bar, a regal appearance in every step. Her eyes peered around the bar, no one really catching her interest. Instead of sitting in solitude, her best bet would be to travel to the bar where, most notably, Sangria was.

Casually she walked over to the drunken Valen and took a seat on one of the bar stools. She smiled at both her and Asterion. She stretched and signaled for the bartender to come over. Daphne nodded at him as he approached her, asking what she'd like. She cheerfully replied, "Can I have a Shirley Temple please?" The bartender acknowledged her order, and soon began to prepare her drink. Meanwhile, she turned to the two Valens and asked both of them, "How are you guys doing? The stuff that happened earlier was really silly, right? I'm glad everyone is okay though."

...Pardoning, of course, those unlucky Valens that were chosen as Magnus' playthings.

"Hey.... why are all of you ignoring me?! I might not be so popular around here, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't interact with me!!!!!"

Daphne turned towards the outcry, the source being Sienna, who seemed to have a little too much to drink. She was about to speak up, before noticing another person begin to chat with her. Well... more like be shouted at, but whatever. Moments later, a cry for help pierced the Valen's ears. She sighed and shook her head slightly; Daphne didn't particularly enjoy being around those under the influence, with the exception of Sangria because she could actually manage herself.

"Pardon me."

Hopping off the bar stool, her high heels clacking against the hard floor upon landing, Daphne hurriedly walked over to the fallen Valen and offered a hand of assistance. "Are you okay?" The question was redundant, but it was a nice formality no less.

It wasn't long for someone to notice that Sienna fell down. A valen, Daphne, it looked like, got up from her stool and reached out her hand, "Are you okay?"

She accepted the hand,
"Yes and no. Yes because I feel great from that wine and vodka, but no because NO ONE IMPORTANT IS PAYING ATTENTION TO ME! Well, except you," She smiled.

After she got up (with Daphne's help), Sienna looked at her and said,
"Thank you for helping me, I'm glad that someone was able to notice me," she looked around, but there was no bar stool nearby to sit at. The one she was sitting at was occupied by a large fellow, and she decided not to deal with him.

Anthea wasn't in the bar yet (or if she was, she didn't find her yet), so Sienna decided to talk with the valen that helped her up until her "sister", who was now later than the White Rabbit, arrived,
"So...Daphne... how are you today?"

When Sienna ran back into the bar, Anthea's first thought was, I've seen her go through this before. She'll usually be back outside sober in a minute or two.

After 3 minutes, she still didn't come outside, Ok, I have to go into the bar, darn it.

The bar was just like what it was before, only a bit crazier, Now, where is Sienna?

She wasn't in any of the booths, and she wasn't in the restroom either,
"Darn it, where is Sienna?!" She mumbled.

Short post - on phone, no mouse yet for the computer. :C

--

The journey to the library was short and boring, and when they got there Annalynne couldn't help but to laugh. What a pathetic little library! Did they really expect to find anything here - in Fairwyn? Maybe if they were looking for breast enhancement tips or muscle growth spells. Nevertheless she held her tongue and paced through the halls, tracing her fingers elegantly over the spines of the poorly written novels and magazines.

Honestly, she wondered why they were trying so hard to decipher a stupid book. If they were supposed to be able to understand it, they would have. There was nothing so special about the Hall of Games, in her opinion. Things were strange, of course, but nothing completely out of the ordinary for a place created by the King, she thought. When she became God, her castle would be ten times more extravagant and particular!

She smiled at the thought.

Morgiwhina made her presence known and Garret explained the situation to her, asking her to help. Annalynne tuned the situation out at that point and continued looking herself, wondering what exactly Crestatia was up to and how those ding dongs in the Hall were doing.

Once she had decided that entirely too much of her valuable time was being consumed here, she stepped away from the books and rolled her eyes with an obvious pout on her lips.

"I don't think we're going to get anywhere here. It's a waste of time. If you want to read that stupid book why not take it to one of the linguistic realms? Fairwyn isn't any good for this sort of thing." She trailed off, watching as an attractive Valen strut his way past her. "It's plenty good for other things, though ..."

The last time I, Gotterdammerung, recall visiting Nibelung was a time period that feels distant enough that much of it is in a haze, yet close enough that I am able to still recall a number of key events, though perhaps not in sequence. I, Gotterdammerung, am unsure what to call this period of time, as I am unfamiliar with the concept, but from my understanding of how my Mimi-mistress views time, I feel that it was a good while ago, and so my memory ebbs. So alas, I only recall bits and pieces of the place, but no doubt my glorious mistress knows more about it than I, Gotterdammerung, seeing as she controls every gear, cog, and mechanic of that place. I, Gotterdammerung, included.

I observed the library to be dank, musty, and decrepit for a place that was called the Library of Champions. I followed behind my Mimi-mistress, who followed the other immortals, and I watch her gaze suspiciously at the crags of dust and dirt lining the empty shelves, as if she were threatened by their very existence, her feet tapping gently on the yellowed wood of the floor. My Mimi-mistress retrieved a black licorice lollipop from her pocket and stuffed it in her mouth, her cheeks bulging with bittersweet flavour. I, Gotterdammerung, personally felt it to be absurd that the party would decide to visit a library in this particular land of all places, but my Mimi-mistress felt slightly differently about it all. My mistress bore her typical half-smile of contentment when absolutely bored out of her grandiose mind, and if I, Gotterdammerung, were to feel similarly as my Mimi-mistress, I would feel just as curious about this particular realm as she did.

For you see, I, Gotterdammerung, observed in my careful capturing of scenes and soft-stepped observations that Fairwyn was nearly the complete opposite of our home, lying so far away at the very boundary of the Aether realms. My Mimi-mistress felt nearly uncomfortable with the noise, the life, the crowdedness. A billion and one bodies hustling together, in what I, Gotterdammerung, felt as a sordid reflection on what the immortals these days considered images of perfection in their world. Or perhaps, I mused as I, Gotterdammerung, held on to the back of Mimi-mistress' coat as she poked her head through the aisles, this was simply the thoughts of my mistress, the greatest and most respectable of all mistresses and a mistress of time immemorial, to be those that were channeling through the mind of I, her servant.

The walk here had not been very far, and I, Gotterdammerung, questioned why immortals still required the need to walk, but my thoughts were silenced by my Mimi-mistress, who called upon me to briefly stay quiet as she sucked on her lollipop out there while hearing the voices of the others speaking around her upon the streets. I, Gotterdammerung, wished to get a hurry with reaching this "Library of Champions", but my Mimi-mistress was distracted and took her time. I, Gotterdammerung, understood that the choices of my mistress were immutable law, and I had no choice but to follow, for why shall I follow not that which I, Gotterdammerung, know to be god to my consciousness?

As much as the people, the streets of Fairwyn were very much unlike Nibelung, yet from the other places that I, Gotterdammerung, had visited, my Mimi-mistress allowed me to understand that many locations in the great realm of immortals took heavy inspiration from construction and cityscape, especially those created by creatures which were more humanoid beings before ascension. And I, Gotterdammerung, following my dedication towards my Mimi-mistress as we had continued on our way to the library back then, saw no exception in the streets of Fairwyn, which roared with sombre drums and bagpipe tones, laughter and voice and cat-calls of jeering mockery, where the slender buildings rose jagged and arched like the fingertips of smashed plank-ends tickling the pink, star-speckled sky. My Mimi-mistress would stop from time to time and gaze at the goods behind windows, shining in golden street-light, watching her kind little eyes dance as she pressed her tiny hands to the glass. I would occasionally recommend my wise mistress to continue with her trek and move away from her kiddish desires, and although I would initially be silenced, my voice would grow loud enough to the point where she made me agree with her own desire to continue with the others. I, Gotterdammerung, understood it to be a slow trek.

But now that I, Gotterdammerung, and the companions of my Mimi-mistress, the purest and kindest mistress of all mistresses and whom I am in debt to existence to bear the pleasure of serving, were now present in this empty library, the fears that I, Gotterdammerung, and my Mimi-mistress shared in our conjoined sense of emotion appeared to come to fruition as the building stood completely empty, with no help but a few scattered books here and there.

My Mimi-mistress took three of them. I, Gotterdammerung, felt a surge of curiosity run through the stuffing of I, and as I turned to my Mimi-mistress with her books in hand, I noticed a childish giggle light her face as she placed the books down on a table a bit a ways from the other immortals.

I jumped onto the table, and my Mimi-mistress placed the three books in a sequence in front of me. Bending down, I racked through my indexes of memory to recall an understanding of the Faer text that these muscular immortals all spoke and wrote with, but the refreshing of my mistress' power through my own consciousness immediately made all the word clear to me. My beloved mistress let out a giggle.

. . . Read!

I complied.

The first book was titled the Lannis-naecht leabh Reachta, or the Court's Landservants. I, Gotterdammerung, expected this to hold some information on what I perceived in my limited observational capacity to be the strict immortal individuals who called themselves the Elite Guard and had taken possession of the enormous castle that my Mimi-mistress felt very uneasy in and gave my entire existence a headache-inducing rattling. I, Gotterdammerung, found instead the tale of a young immortal named Seirbigh who came to life in the realm of immortals in an earlier age, where the conflict between opposing parties was much more ruthless. The young Seirbigh took to gathering a group of similarly low-placed immortals and create an army ready to protect those in need from constant torment. Seirbigh established sets of rules that slowly helped change the nature of this older realm, yet his army grew larger and larger, gaining more power. Eventually, Seirbigh was on the cusp of fighting God himself, but in a desperate power struggle among the very courts of peace he established years before, he was slain by his own army, claiming that Seirbigh had wandered beyond the ideals he originally fought for. My Mimi-mistress was solemn through the entire story, and I, Gotterdammerung, would turn up to her numerous times as I read it out, noticing how absentmindedly she slumped her head upon her arms, sucking her lollipop, deep in thought yet closed off to my emotional connection with my almighty mistress. The book never made known what happened to the landservants, or whether or not it was an agent of God who orchestrated Seirbigh's downfall himself.

I, Gotterdammerung, closed the book and stood up, walking to the other, before plopping down and moving closer to my Mimi-mistress, who pulled one of my limbs nearer to her. From aside, a few of the other immortals appeared to be searching, I, Gotterdammerung, observed. The second book was titled Cuilainnarach Eoirealta, or Crusaders of Stardust, and I, Gotterdammerung, found it to be a very strange book. As I looked through the pages, my Mimi-mistress' curiosity surged through my consciousness, and she peeked ever closer. It was a cookbook, detailing recipes from a number of territories well known for their cooking. I, Gotterdammerung, am happy to say that my mistress' eyes sparkled in delight upon eyeing the section of the sweets. At the same time, however, the pages in between reflected an ambiguous, almost disconnected story. The story told the tale of a star-shaped cake that was divided equally among six children. No child finished their slices completely, and the cake was put into storage for future use. In the middle of the night, one child visited the storage room and consumed all of the cake. The next morning, all six children disappeared and did not return. My Mimi-mistress found the story ridiculous, and attempted to channel her powers through my body to identify the meaning behind this piece of communication.

I, Gotterdammerung, noticed my almighty mistress' face briefly turn dark.

Like the slamming of a heavy door, her connection with I, Gotterdammerung, was severed for but a split, infinitesimal moment in time, where I found myself nearly falling through infinity before my consciousness was caught upon the arm of my almighty mistress' mind. My Mimi-mistress was back to smiling, as if nothing had ever happened. But when I opened the book, I noticed that the words had been contorted and changed into an incomplete star-cake recipe. I, Gotterdammerung, being the humblest and greatest of servants, did not question this usage of my mistress' power.

The final book was titled An Cailín sa Uiscedhathanna. My Mimi-mistress had trouble understanding the title of this particular text, even with her immortal powers, for it appeared to be written in a form of Faer that was much older. Nevertheless, I, Gotterdammerung, the greatest of all servants to a humble and wise mistress, took it upon myself to understand as much of the text as possible. A dusty tome, bits and pieces of it spoke of the story of a young princess who found herself in a foreign realm she had ruined mercilessly in her pursuit for the death of her enemies. My Mimi-mistress had her head tilted. Channeling her power, it was hard to make out, and my Mimi-mistress was tempted to think that this book was written in nonsense, or the message was spread out among multiple tales. A seemingly disconnected story told of a prince who would kill himself to move between worlds. The book became more and more incomprehensible. I, Gotterdammerung, asked my Mimi-mistress to note when we would be able to move on and discover more on the contents of the book found within the immortals' enormous hall.

. . . Fine fine.

She let out a childlike sigh and took out a third black licorice lollipop, placing it on her tongue. I, Gotterdammerung, leaped off the table and trailed behind my mistress, who was truly the greatest of mistresses. The books were left on the table, open.

Eventually, I, Gotterdammerung, noticed the congregation of the others contemplating what else to do in this empty library. My Mimi-mistress shuffled her feet in place a bit, placed her hands in her jacket pockets, and looked down. I, Gotterdammerung, cleared my throat.

My Mimi-mistress relayed this information to me, and channelled my being to relay this information to the collection of immortals that were present.

- - - - -

It is of course I that always feels the deepest connection with my mistress.

I, Gotterdammerung, feel the thoughts of my mistress flow through me.

Mimi-mistress, in her travels, recalls the realm Twercania as a center for
studies, of the linguistic kind. I, Gotterdammerung, am in agreement,
from my limited, memory. It is possible that information on the book that the
Deviant Demoness had uncovered may be found in the realm my Mimi-mistress,
had previously, mentioned, however, it is to be warned that the immortal in
control of that particular territory is someone my Mimi-mistress,
considers very inappropriate.

The more Vex just sat there idling passing time, the more bored he became. In fact it wasn't boredom that was getting to him, it was his wondering on where some of the others had left to. His eyes kept making casual glances over towards the table, which helped little in keeping his mind off of it. Eventually he decided to get some answers, so he got up from his seat.

"Hey....why are all of you ignoring me?! I might not be so popular around here, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't interact with me!!!!!"

The squealing definitely was unexpected and did as a temporary attention grabber as his head turned to see Sienna as the source. Odds were likely that she was drunk, thus explaining her actions. Though just like that, his attention was turned back to what it was previously on, since it seemed Daphne had gone ahead and approached her.

As he was still standing by his seat, he made his way over toward the table he's been watching. once there, he turned his attention towards Asterion and spoke.

"I take it that the others left somewhere." It was finally time to quell this curiosity that was eating inside him. Even with the little information that he had, he figured that they all didn't just get up to get some fresh air.

It had seemed everybody preferred to just sit around and drink, which was not a real surprise to Asterion. The observer merely took a seat upon the free seats and with a sigh he let out a groan before noticing Daphne ahead. The girl smiled at him so it was only polite to smile back, albeit it was a exasperated smile. He really wished to get out of there, but he had to at least wait and see what the others had found out before they could all leave Fairwyn.

Sighing seemed to be of the norm as he turned and glanced over at Crestatia "So I am assuming that trip must have been quite the tedious one...how are you fair-" Asterion began to say before closing his eyes and cringed in annoyance at the sudden drunken yelling of Sienna.

Could nobody in this bar control their liquor? Sangira most likely could have, but it was in her nature to be the carefree idiot she normal was so it was no surprise to him. Daphne had taken care of the idiot yelling about so Asterion was quite glad he didn't have to deal with the girl trying to gain attention to her drunken stupor.

Vex had joined the group and surprisingly the valen was not actually drunk. Leaning against his chair he crossed his arms and looked up at Vex "Yeah, they went off to try and get that book they found translated" Asterion said.

i t felt like ages before Garrett actually replied, but Morgiana was just anxious to see what these crackerjacks were trying to do. She wondered if any of the others from the bar were doing things like this, too.

Oh, well, we're just looking for information on ancient and foreign languages. Garrett replied, and her first thought was why would anyone need to learn about the languages when she could just as easily make them speak it, but then he let on more of an explanation about the book that Marinara had and she raised her eyebrows.

. . . Well, the stuff in the book could be worth looking into, but why in a ratchet little place like this? Gosh, these people must have been completely blind to see that there really couldn't be anything of use here.

Old foreign languages? she asked once more, and then started backtracking to another shelf. You'll want something deader than dead. Something that no one uses anymore.

Actually, she really didn't know, but it seemed like a good place to start. She hadn't been able to look in the book Mary had, but she assumed it could only be written in something dead that no one used anymore, not even spread throughout the different regions.

Before she could get very far, Mimi and her – OhgodwhynoCREEPY DOLL – abomination were telling them about Twercania, and she remembered studying there once, but the librarian kicked her out before she could get anything done there. She shivered as she tried to collect her thoughts and not think about the thing in Mimi's arms.

Do you think we'll be able to leave Fairwyn, though? she asked, trying not to sound shaky around the little monster. We would have to take the book, too . . . The others would come with us? Her face screwed up in thought of so many having to travel together.

"I see and they just left you guys behind then." It was quite the situation that they were put in. One group goes to gather further information while the rest of them waits inside a bar. Instead of standing the who time, Vex simply took a seat at the table.

"Did they say what they were planning on doing if they found anything out?"

They had been pointlessly looking in this crap - tastic library for some way to translate this flashy, shiny, golden book. They were not getting anywhere. The people of Fairwyn did not care about education. Back at Brookridge, they had the most excellent of libraries in the school. She had never seen one nearly as nice until the Hall of Games. It actually looked a lot like it. The library made her wonder if that was the inspiration for the one in Days. It did not matter, but the thought still crossed her mind.

They were all becoming demotivated by this endeavor. That was until Annalynne mumbled something about a linguistics region. She could not clearly make it out. Marina reached just below the neckline of her dress with pointer and middle fingers, feeling the letter tucked safely within. She blew out a deep breath after and sat down.

Do you think we'll be able to leave Fairwyn, though? Marina looked up to see it was that sleepy Morji girl with the ever - changing eyes. She tried not to sound shaky and Marina could not help but be reminded of those cheap mood rings that always changed colors depending on your mood. In reality, it depended on warmth. If it was cold, the ring usually stayed blue, black, or purple. If it was warm, then a yellow or greenish color usually dominated the rings. Those that believed in mood rings were dumb, so what was up with Morji's eyes -- did they really change with her mood? We would have to take the book, too . . . The others would come with us?

No. She did not want more incompetent fools joining them. They others that stayed behind at the bar should be at the bar. Their purpose was best served there. They would be out of the way and it was not like the others had anything good to contribute. They were a bunch of clueless wastes of time -- aside from Crestatia. Even the ones present seemed like a bother, but at least they had taken some sort of initiative to figure things out. We should not bring along the others. They will just slow us down. she said flatly.

Mimi-mistress, in her travels, recalls the realm Twercania as a center for studies, of the linguistic kind. She looked at the bear and then up to the little girl. I, Gotterdammerung, am in agreement, from my limited, memory. It is possible that information on the book that the Deviant Demoness had uncovered may be found in the realm my Mimi-mistress, had previously, mentioned, however, it is to be warned that the immortal in control of that particular territory is someone my Mimi-mistress, considers very inappropriate.

Her brows furrowed together and she nodded at the others. We should go. Marina got to her feet, gathered up her things, and headed out the door of the library.

After some more searching, Anthea finally found Sienna, who was being helped up by Daphne, it seemed.

There you are, Sienna, she thought as she started to approach them, now, we can leave this bar and find an anti-

SMASH!!!!

Anthea looked up, and she noticed that she tripped over... something. She couldn't see exactly what she tripped over.

"Hey, pink-hair, get out of the way!" A man screamed at her.

Annalyne made an excellent point, the library was a bust, and the people in it were even worse then some of the things he skimmed in some of the books. He gathered when the group did. He had hoped there would be a hidden gym of knowledge, like a witch or wizard who could help them. Or another book tucked away somewhere. He was surprised to see that little Morji had found them and wanted to come along. He let Mimi know that the other group should be alerted that they were at least leaving Fairwyn. But he agreed with Marina that a group their size was already too big. He only hoped that Twercania, would yield better results then Fairwyn. He shoved his hands into his coat and strolled out the door behind Marina, he then vanished in a cloud of smoke, making sure know one was near enough to be affected by it. He was gone in at least five seconds before returning with knowledge on where they needed to be. He relied on Mimi to use the same doll used to alert the other party, to ask his wife for Siegfried to give them a lift. After all, who had the power of traveling groups many distances? He didn't know where Arius was, or if he could even magic up a vehicle of some sort. Besides, it was a matter of minutes before a hovering typical UFO craft, with a low curved dome top and a flat, horizontal bottom emitting a glowing light from small black thrusters,. A panel seemed to open and a sliding platform waited for all of them to step onto it before engulfing them inside the ship. Darren tried not to face palm, Siegfried wanted to embarrass him. And he'd done it. He just hoped the ship was fast. Luckily it was, and luckily it had autopilot. He just had to tell it to drop them off at Twercania and sped away. The ride was so fast that talking was irrelevant as the grop was strapped in among technology and other things you'd find aboard a space ship that zipped through Aetherian skies.

A machine like woman announced their arrival and Darren led the way down the platform, accompanied by volunteers from the bar. Garret, Asterion, Morjiana, Marina, Annalyne, Mimi, Vex, Johnis and himself included made up the team. As the ship took off into the distance, Darren had to wonder if the ship was dysfunctional. This gigantic entrance to a city(?), made entirely of flora was not where he was expecting to be dropped off. He had took off to a map shop to browse maps of Aether until he found their destination, a square shaped city with a large spire coming out of it, according to the map. But what kind of valen would force people to walk through a...labyrinth? He wanted to step inside, just to confirm, but he'd read the story if the minotaur as a kid, Greek mythology would only be able to describe this place. Plants galore lined the ins and outs of the place, as far as he could inside without stepping a foot in. He then explained the situation, the place they wanted to go was inside the center of the this city sized hedge. He could hear people inside as he explained. "Anyone know anything about the...weird plant place that apparently surrounds and guards Twercania?" He said, his brow lowered in fustration. God could be wreaking his revenge on Fairwyn for all they knew and then this happened. He released a calming sigh and focused on not whining.

"All I know is that flying is not an option. And I won't go running blindly. Our best bet might be to ask for directions to Twercania." He resisted the urge to pace as he gazed up at the immense foliage of multicolored herb life before them. He didn't even know if they'd be welcomed.

As it turned out, the shitty little library they had gone to was a bust. Big surprise that was. Honestly, he wasn't expecting to find much of anything after he saw that the place was in shambles. Though he did have fun insta-learning a couple of languages. That is, when he still had the language disc in his head. It was a lot of fun saying words he was sure the others wouldn't understand. Tossing out a curse word here and there in a different language made him giggle uncontrollably. After having his fun, he took the disc with the now useless information and turned it back into a book to place into it's incredibly dusty home. Somebody really should clean that place up, it was incredibly annoying to pull out a book and cause a million little particles to fly into the air and into his throat or nose or even his eyes. Irritating to no end.

As everybody waited outside, they were greeted by a UFO looking ship, complete with beaming onto it. Garret had to stifle his urge to burst out laughing at how cheesy the damn thing looked. It was almost like it came straight out of one of those old movies with the crappy looking effects. Well, at the very least it was functional, and extremely fast. Still, somebody's sense of aesthetics needed updating. The moment it showed up, he half expected little grey people to jump out and say "We come in peace." He couldn't help but snicker the entire time.

When they made it to their destination, they were met by a giant hedge maze. What the hell was it with Aether and having gigantic things all over? Giant Bells, Giant Towers, Giant Mazes. If you asked him, it felt like someone was trying to compensate or something. Regardless, it would be unwise to go in without knowing anything about the labyrinth first.

"Anyone know anything about the... weird plant place that apparently surrounds and guards Twercania?" Darren said, his brow lowered in frustration. "All I know is that flying is not an option. And I won't go running blindly. Our best bet might be to ask for directions to Twercania." It seemed like he was trying to refrain from nervously doing something, but that didn't matter right now. He had the right idea about trying to find a guide of some sort, though.

"I'd say burn it all down, but then that would probably piss off more than just a few people." He stared up at the giant plant-life filling the tangled road ahead. "But holy shit, man, that is a big ass maze. Seriously, who the hell designed this thing?" The thief nervously scratched at the back of his head. Some of the plants strewn about within the labyrinth seemed a little less than friendly. "I mean, somebody is compensating for something, am I right?" He let out a sigh, hoping someone would miraculously show up and guide them to where they wanted to go. "It's not like someone is just gonna show up out of nowhere and help us through, right?" At this point, he was just swinging and praying his little remark would actually cause something helpful to happen. "Please work." He whispered to himself.

Mood: Lonely ☾ Location: Bar ☾ Theme: Clothes: Rosaline's Notes:

Rosaline sighed. She took a look at her Notes, reviewing what she already had written. Soon she began to feel dizzy, maybe because of the alcoholic drink. She got another, letting the taste burn through her throat and mess up her judgement.

It wasn't a lot but it was sort of a start It was no fun sitting all by yourself, especially in a bar. She started to wonder where everyone had gone off too. Though she knew none of her powers would be able to help her find them. Sitting alone like this, made her remember a time that seemed long ago. She remembered sitting around the town, reading books. She always was reading. But while the other Valens would play games with each other, no matter how hard she tried to make friends, no one would invite her to play. They though she was the weird, overly competitive bookworm girl. She didn't mind it at first, but after a while, she started to get lonely. That's when her goal was recognized by herself. She wanted to rid the world of the ignorance, that had stopped the other Valens from thinking she was something that she was not. She thought about that time once again, it did feel like it did now. All alone.

She was starting to wonder if the others had left her here on purpose. She probably just didn't see them walk by. That burned an angry inside of her, that she was so easily forgotten. She tightened her fists, but then ended up ordering another drink. At least she could wallow in her own self-pity.

INTOXICATION

Sangria stood to her full six feet and walked over to the congregation of collapsed folk, swirling an orange liquid in a shot glass. Ah ... the young Benevolent Sorceress, of course, and the two immortals who never seemed to leave each other. A congregation of irritated-looking Fairwyn boors were at attention around them, ready to break things in half.

"Now now, dears."
One of them turned to Sangria. "And you! I don't--"
"Ah ah."
She reached over and stroked the man's cheek. Immediately, he lost his sense of balance and fell backward, quickly being caught by his gaggle of friends. Sangria took this time to lurch over and drop the contents of the shot glass in the man's open mouth. His eyes widened. There we go. She quickly walked back to the other three and shuffled them in arm away from the rest of the dancing immortals and their ridiculous concept of having fun.

"These guys need to loosen up a bit, don't you agree?"
"Mmm ... there's only so much fun you can have with the people of Fairwyn, you know? They only know how to party with themselves." She took a lone bottle on a table and sipped its ends. "And you know? There's muuuuch more fun to be had, yet these don't know a party if it hit them in the back of the head ..."

"Now, I didn't have the pleasure of asking you three about the castle ..."

At one of the far tables, where Asterion, Vex, and the business-lady herself found themselves sitting, an overturned wine glass seemed to vibrate ... something directly in front of them.
Oh?
Sangria walked over.

"Looks like we're--"
"This is the party that had previously attempted to visit the Library." The voice was coarse and robotic, and the sound was produced in the vibrations of the crystal rather than any central point. The familiar sound of Mimi's strange bear throwing its voice. How did she manage to use a glass for this--
Ah, wait.
Sangria looked closer at the glass. There were still a few droplets of light alcohol sliding down the edges, and the rim was slightly wet.

Ohoho.
"The we of immortals are heading to Twercania to discover more information on the book."
Sangria almost dropped the glass on the table. The we of immortals?
"Twercania?" Her voice was briefly ice-cold, disgusted, as if spitting muddy water.

She looked at the others, slowly composing herself.
" ... Well, well. " Sangria found a seat, a bit aways from the other three. "It certainly sounds like the others are having a better party than we are, dears. <3"

Eventually, a few of the bar Valen decided to join the expedition.
Sangria refused, because she had her own work to do here, for now. Twercania would be their effort. She tapped the voice-thrown glass and it vibrated a bit.
Even the darkest of liquors could not penetrate that overgrowth ...

WEARING OOC INTERACTION:

The sweet sounds of life within the maze came to a halt. It was all eerily quiet to those that did not live within the kingdom. The rosebuds at the entrance allowed for their Lady to see and hear everything that went on. She scowled at the image shining in her mirror and rose to her feet. The little cottage in the maze surrounded by flower beds gave birth to its Lady as she stepped outside into the fresh air. The edge walls encompassing her property separated into an archway.

The land only bent at the will of its residents. What would normally take travelers hours, if not days, to go from the west entrance to her cottage, was just a matter of minutes for Akantha. she smoothed a lock of dark purple hair behind her ear and progressed onward. She doubted this group of Valen had any interest in her garden. The looks on their faces before she left the safety of her home showed one thing and one thing only -- Twercania. It was all anyone ever wanted. No one came here to enjoy her beautiful world of flora. They only ever wanted safe passage to Twercania, that god - forsaken land. Those in search of the linguistics city always got what they deserved. A nice lonesome journey through her maze until they went mad or were eaten. The residents -- mostly those with plant affinities or humanoid plant creatures -- were under strict orders to help no one without her permission.

The last wall separated and arched open, revealing the woman to the group. She stepped out with a smile on her face and stood at the entrance. Akantha was always willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe someday someone would actually be coming just to take a safe walk through her glorious kingdom. Her mud - caked knee high boots dug into the grass and she made a whimpering noise. Even grass deserved respect, but since she could not fly, she was forced to walk on it anyway. Welcome travelers, she greeted as sweetly as she could, I am Akantha, Lady of this land. What brings you to Silva est Herba?

Greetings, my name is Asterion and along side me are my fellow companions. We are on route to the land of Twercania and we need to cross this labyrinth to do so.

Her smile fell quickly. Figures. It was no surprise. No one ever came for her plants. Twercania this, Twercania that; not today, not ever! She pursed her lips and took a step back into the maze. Unfortunately for you, that is not allowed. this labyrinth was set up to keep people from getting in and out of Twercania. No one ever comes here for my land, only safe passage to his land. Not anymore! If you want to get there, you must do so on your own. My people only guide those that come to take a leisure stroll through our kingdom, not to travel to that awful city. The wall opened up behind her. Turn back now or suffer the fate of so many before you. Akantha took a step back and it closed in front of her.

Pathetic. This was a waste of a trip. Her flowers needed her. She should never have bothered coming to the entrance in the first place.

Johnis had arrived with the rest of the major party in search of a linguistic society to translate this mystery book. Good old side questing to proceed with main questing. However, there was just one thing that stood in there way. And that was...a maze. A maze made of plants no less. Holy plant life it was probably the most beautiful assortment of vegetation he had ever seen. Sure, he had the capability to make all of this himself, but never would he think to make natural art with it. It was then that the wondorous mistress behind the plants had shown herself, only to ask why they were here. To which Asterion replied the good honest truth...granted the truth was apparently not something plant lady Akantha wanted to hear. With that she was gone and so was there hope of getting a guide through the maze.

Ah well. It was a maze after all, and having a guide, while extremely convenient, slightly defeated the purpose of going to a maze in the first place. Well that is the first time around. Not to mention Johnis could just destroy the entire maze and walk through it, but that would both defeat the fun of the maze and even if he did bring them all back to life, would not truly encapsulate how awesome it once was. As such, he got psyched, but first.
"Goodbye Ms. Akantha, I hope to have fun in this plantae masterpiece. As a token of my appreciation towards the plants," Johnis then proceed to create a small flower, a different color on each petal casting off a rainbow effect, "a gift." He throw the flower to the maze and then turned towards the group. "Alright, no need to be glum chums. Let's go straight on through this maze, after all a maze is supposed to give off a sense of adventure of thrill. And when something is as exquisitely crafted as this, we must take all the time we can to enjoy that."
