Ryan watched as Jex gave him a tour. Everything looked so elaborate, and clean. Errol must be well-off, but how could he with these powers? Weren't they secluded from the world? The elevator had a modern steel look to it, and the sign saying "Boy's Dorms" with fancy writing in particular impressed him. Everything looked so ornate. The security in the dorms kind of made him nervous though. Why was there so much security in the mansion? Are they expecting attackers?
Jex broke his chain of thought when he pointed at his door. It was black and gothic. To be honest, Ryan didn't expect him to be into that. He always assumed whoever was like that was disturbed in a way. That was his family talking. Always perfect, but always accusing others of not being like them or being different. He was starting to unravel the nature of the perfect suburbia lifestyle he lived throughout his life.
I wonder what they'd think of me now. Being gay. They'd probably hate my guts. They'll just have to accept it.
He learned that he doesn't matter what people appear to be, and he didn't care whether or not Jex is a goth. He is a caring person and looked after him. It was time to erode those old ways of thinking. He felt glad that this happened for an instant before realizing the other horrible things that occurred during the day.
"You'll get to know everyone else as time goes on."
    "I look forward to it!"
After using his card, Jex pushed Ryan into his new room. He wished he could get up from the seat and look around. The room had ocean blue paint, a bedside table, and a soft bed awaiting him. He was smiling as he noticed the window. As he was at a lower height than standing, he couldn't see the entire view, but he was able to see the tops of the mountains in the distance. That was his favorite part about Nevada's scenery.
    "I really like it!"
    And then he realized...
He had no clothes. All he had were the clothes given to him after the incident: a pair of jeans, and a plain red shirt.

"I just realized I have no clothes with me! They're all left at my house! I can't go back there though. This is all I have," he said pinching his shirt to show that that is all he had. He also left all his video games, and his uniforms back at home. What about school? Would he be going back there?
"How about school or my soccer team? Will I be able to get back?"

"Marry you?" Isabella asked with a questioning look on her face. "Hello what is going on in that brain of yours?" She asked making it appear like she was in his brain knocking on some metal door. "I don't want to marry you. I don't want to marry anyone. I am not interested in that kind of relationship. I don't have time for them Sorry for giving you any ideas." She told him earnestly. "As for my dreams, I have plenty of those, like how I can use my powers for another joke, and I have a dream of making the most colourful bomb that can completely paralyze people in a moment. They don't need to even inhale t stuff. It would be so cool, and a great weapon, though hard to do so it wouldn't harm the person throwing it. I have a dream of one day making that a reality." She explained to him as they got in a car and left for the park that Lukey spoke of.

Upon reaching the park Isabella looked around and saw a mother pushing her child on the swing. It was cute, she almost didn't want to read their minds. How could a family so innocent have powers, plus she couldn't kidnap either of them if she wanted to. In the end she didn't bother with them. There was no guarantee that her experiments would be safe and she certainly didn't want to break up this lovely family. She soon moved on to the shady kid by the tree's. Sure enough just to their luck he was what they were looking for. So Isabella did what she did best and made a scene about pointing it out to Lukey.

Colton did not turn to Nicole as she started yo yell. He didn't even bat an eyelash to be honest. His mind was far off thinking about if he was right about what had happened to Carter, what Carter might have gone through or was currently going through. No matter how much she yelled at him or cried he wouldn't believe her until they found Carter and he was safe and there was full evidence that Nicole hadn't done it.

After Nicole's fit came Christie's lecture. What the hell was his problem? Oh she didn't know the half of it. She didn't know what he had went through. She didn't know the reality of this world that they lived in.
"You can't deny it isn't a possibility." Colton said masking what was going on in his mind with a monotone voice and a hidden face. He had nothing else to say to her and felt no need to justify himself in any way.

The next thing that happened was even worse than the yelling and the Christie lecture. Jean had called Errol in and here he was. Great even going out for once he could escape the man. He was here to torment him no matter where he went. Though don't get him wrong, Errol was the closest thing he had to a father of any sort anymore, but that didn't mean he didn't hate his lectures and such, they were pointless. He was not about to change any time soon anyways. Luckily Errol kept to business and even asked him to leave if he wished. There was no hesitation to take him up on that offer.

As the door slammed shut behind Him and Christie he turned to her.
"I am going to check out the park see if I can find anything. Prefer you not follow me." Colton said as he shoved both his hands in his pocket and started to walk off still never once turning to face Christie. He needed his space. He didn't want to screw over the entire mission because of his emotions. He did want to help the boy, he wasn't that heartless. He had gotten in trouble as a kid on the street with his powers, nearly getting himself killed, so he was scared what Carter could be going through if he was still alive. If suspicion was correct he had powers so he would be going through horrors if certain people found out, those who feared powers.

It wasn't long before Colton arrived at the park. There wasn't much around, a mother sitting on a bench watching her kids play, some trees around, nothing worth noting really. What Colton had to find out was were was it possible for Carter to be taken without anyone noticing or hearing. He didn't imagine the kid would go without a fight, but then again he didn't know the kid very well. Colton started towards the trees to see if there was anywhere dark enough over there for someone to hide. It did occur to him that he probably looked rather shady himself but it didn't matter at this point, solving the case was what mattered.

Cynthia tried to block out Tobias as he rambled on about what he knew. She knew most of the same stuff until he brought up the book. Gross. Cynthia turned around and gave Tobias a swift kick to the nuts. "Too bad that you will never be able to try out anything you learn. That would require, you know, getting yourself a real live girl." She stated as she flicked her hair behind her back and walked the rest of the distance to the library. Entering she made her way to a computer and began her research. Checking for things like where the last ten kills by the Silent Killer were and their dates. If they could figure out his next time and place then all they would have to do is figure out target and they would be golden, well on their way to catching this killer and gaining the reward.

The pictures were...disturbing. While they themselves weren't particularly scary, the story they made up was. After looking at them, Christie began to think about everything that had been said, and just as Jean called for uncle errol she arrived at the same conclusion as Jean; Molly was no ordinary little girl. However, before she could expand on it Errol had already been called. Jeez, thanks for giving me a chance to solve this, Jean, she thought to herself.

As Errol arrived and asked her and Colton to step outside, the girl obliged. She had no issues with waiting outside. Not surprisingly though, Colton wasn't completely finished with what he had been saying. "Sure it's a possibility...isn't it also possible that the kid just got lost? I don't think either of them work, but hey what do I know? I'm just the ditzy girl dragged along because she's got nothing better to do" Christie chirped, shrugging her shoulders as she did so. Colton had specified he didn't want her following while he investigated, and he was annoyed enough so maybe it was a good idea to actually listen to him. Besides, she was thirsty anyway. She'd go find somewhere to get a drink, and then she would go and help Colton whether he liked it or not!

Tobias bent over in pain as the kick hit home. Damn, what a *****. Though, despite all the pain going through his body, he couldn't help but enjoy it. He loved it, really. So, a *****, but a damn attractive one at that. What a fox. Getting up, he followed behind Cynthia. "Please, getting a girl is no problem for me. Look, just cause you want it but can't have it doesn't mean eeeeeeevery other girl doesn't want some of this" Tobias said, modest as ever. "I can prove it to you. Pick any girl in this library that's around my age. Any at all, and I'll go get her number in seconds. If I do that, you have to give me yours" he proposed, confidence not hard to see in the slightest.

Lucas raised an eyebrow as he heard Isabella's dreams. "So your dream is to create a bomb that will cause mass chaos among everybody? While I don't approve of it, I can see how it would appeal to yourself. That being said, I would most certainly have to stop you from creating a bomb, so I wouldn't suggest doing it whilst I am around" the government agent said. He kind of hoped she tried, kind of hoped she gave him a reason to put a bullet through her skull. Wouldn't that be interesting? He'd killed plenty of psychos before, never one quite like her. Most were insane in the sense they were trying to kill too many people, but Isabella brought a whole new meaning to insanity.

Once they had arrived at the park, Lucas got to work immediately. He was to look for anyone that appeared even the slightest bit suspicious. It wasn't too hard to search, given that there were only three people there. There was a mother pushing her son on the swings, and a short distance away there was a relatively annoyed-looking teenager. Nothing about those stood out too much, but the teenager looked almost too innocent. He was annoyed, that much could be seen from the way he walked, but he had his hood up and hands in his pockets. While that was normal for most teenagers, it was the most suspicious thing that was there, so Lucas decided to make his start there.

He hadn't taken a step before Isabella made things a lot easier for him. She had used her illusion magic to make it appear as though there were dozens of neon arrows pointing straight at the teenager, all with the word 'telekinetic' written on them. Well, he had expected her to be useful, but not that useful, not that he was complaining. Strolling over casually, he wandered over to the mother and son. "Don't react to what I'm about to say and do your best to appear perfectly calm. My name is Lucas Beaumont, I work for the government and I've been assigned to watch dangerous criminals. We believe the boy over there is one of them, and I believe for your safety it would be optimal if you left immediately" the investigator said.

He waited until the woman and child had left, simply watching Colton the whole time. A tad unfortunate for you, but very fortunate for me. You'll be the key in figuring out how those freaks with the powers can be taken down, and you'll have no idea just how much enjoyment that little bit of information is going to help me, he thought to himself. Once the coast was clear, Lucas nodded to Isabella. The girl was insane, but there was no doubt she was intelligent enough to know what came next; capture. Pulling out his handgun, Lucas pointed it straight at Colton. "Stand right where you are and turn around slowly. If you even think about using your telekinesis on me, I won't hesitate to shoot a bullet right between your eyes" he shouted at the boy.

Jean could never get used to the whole mind walking thing. Bad or good visions, they were all the same. It was the equivalent of a dream you're conscious about. It made it worse when the emotions sometimes bleeded over to the person tagging along. Hands remained still, rigid while holding on to Errol and Molly's hand. From what he was seeing, his suspicion about the father being cruel was spot on, however he was wrong about Roman Geero being the one behind Carter's abduction. A small wave of disappointment fell on Jean. He was doing so well with this investigation too. It was another person, or something. Yellow eyes were staring back from the darkness cast by the hood this woman was wearing. It was unsettling to be honest. Jean could feel what Molly felt, those fingernails that trailed the little girl's soft cheek. The words that were spoken from her left him dumbfounded. They were enough to leave an impression. The memory soon blacked out, being replaced by a blinding light. Eyes quickly looked away as they adjusted to the scene around. They were in the park now, and Molly was watching Carter enjoy himself by a stream with a friend.

"That must be Isaac." Jean's words echoed.

Nicole's voice could be heard chatting away. Suddenly Molly's heartbeat echoed in this dream as the abduction took place before the little girl's eyes. Fear was becoming prominent. Jean did his best to remain calm, knowing full well that these weren't his emotions, but Molly's. Mandible tensed, and breathing shifted slightly as heart rate struggled to remain calm. It was those yellow eyes again, staring back at Molly while a gun was aimed to Carter's head. Molly's viewpoint shifted to Nicole for a brief moment before looking back to where the hooded woman was. She was gone, and Molly's desperation became evident before the memory ending.

Eyelids lifted off of brown eyes as Jean awoke from the mind walk, immediately letting go of Errol and Molly's hands. Head felt light as if he had been drugged or something.
"I can carve a building out of a mountain, but when it comes to sharing minds I start with the druggy symptoms... Mind walking sucks..." he uttered while shutting eyes and letting a hand rest on forehead. Letting in a deep breath, he sighed. "Too bad we don't have enough evidence to take you as well... Just what the hell did that woman mean...? Is she working for some abduction agency that specifically targets gifted people?" he let out, voice filled with ambivalence of groggy and irritation. After giving his forehead a good massage, he lowered hand and slowly rose to his feet in order to better get his balance. Brows were furrowed, the mind contemplating the woman he had just witnessed. Just what on earth was going? This woman was different, what with those yellow eyes; It creeped him out. Seeing what Molly saw, no wonder she was quiet. Roman Geero, and then this woman.

What did the woman mean by evidence? Jean slowly walked to the wall nearby and placed a hand against it as he slowly settled his back against it. Pupils dilated as they stared off into the floor contemplating on all the details gathered so far. Mr. Geero was not the abductor. It was that woman whom...they could not I.D. because she was wearing that cat eared hoody that cast a strong shadow over her. Well, they knew something about her at least. Yellow eyes. Oh how Jean would never forget those eyes. It was rather an unnatural coloration for eyes.
"Tch..." Jean uttered as he reminded himself to focus. "Evidence... What was she talking about?" he thought. Hands found themselves hiding in jacket pockets while the scholar reviewed what Nicole had said; the relevant information. It only took a moment before he remembered something the mother had told him.

" After this story was run, it felt like someone was always watching us... I swear some cars tailed us many times, but I never saw anyone suspicious, it was just the feeling I had..." Nicole's words wrung in Jean's mind. Eyes narrowed as he began to put pieces together in his mind.

"Too bad we don't have enough evidence to take you as well..."

    "
After this story was run, it felt like someone was always watching us..."

"They posted this photo without my permission... I didn't want anything out because the chance of his father finding out where we were was terrifying."

Molly's drawings resurfaced in his mind, taking into account what Errol had told him about the two different black figures. He specifically remembered one of the pictures having the yellow eyed woman behind Nicole, Carter, and Molly.

"it felt like someone was always watching us..." Jean uttered as Nicole's words wrung once more.

Jean's eyes suddenly shut themselves in frustration as everything was becoming clear. A small grin appeared on Jean's face as he just let out a frustrated chuckle. "Those bastards..." he muttered out loud, realizing what the so called "Evidence" was that the woman was talking about. Bangs cast a shadow over eyes as Jean's head cocked forward slightly. "That woman with the yellow eyes... She's been watching you guys for a while already... ever since that newspaper article about the Guardian angel with Carter's face slapped right on it was published... She's been waiting for the opportune moment to strike."

Jean took a good look at Molly before turning to Nicole in order to explain what he was on about.
"Your daughter saw who took your son. My hunch is that this person was most likely watching you guys for a while. I think the abductor might be working for people who took an interest in your son AFTER the article was published..."

As Colton searched through the trees he glanced back at the park to notice that two more people had arrived, a young man and a young woman. The woman wore a lab coat while the man there wasn't anything that particularly stood out about him. He studied the two people for a moment and decided that it was probably a young couple sneaking off from their jobs to go for a afternoon walk in the park. So that being said Colton went about his business finding where around there that someone could hide then abduct a child without anyone seeing at all.

The search was going okay, Colton hardly noticed the mother leave with her child even. It seemed there was a couple decent hiding spots, but he was pulled out of his search by the mans voice. Colton raised his hands and turned around slowly because sure enough the man had a gun pointed at him a short distance away. His mind quickly ran through his options, what he was good at with his powers, what he wasn't, how he was going to get out of this.

He started by creating a telekinetic manipulation track to try to curve the bullet away from him, at least away from an area that would kill him. He was not good at getting it completely off track so if be shot off the gun it would still hit him somewhere, just less vital. The next thing he did was prepare himself mentally. A small breath to calm himself down and he was off on his plan, or as much of a plan as you could call it. He used telekinetic push pull to push Lukas' arm/gun out of the way so it wasn't aimed at him. The next thing he did was charge at Lukas, closing the distance to put his training to good use. He knew various forms of hand to hand however depending on how much this man knew it may or may not work out to his benefit. He could keep up with a lot of people however if they were evenly matched or better he could easily be beaten because of his disorder. But he had to try, he couldn't just sit there and let them take him away.

As Colton reached the man the first thing he attempted to do was go after the gun in his hand. He grabbed Lukas by the wrist and twisted it a certain way to try to make Lukas release his grip. Colton had positioned himself so that if he shot it would go straight past him. As he did this he also elbowed Lukas in the stomach.
"You'd be damned if you thought I was going to go with you without a fight." Colton told him.

Isabella smiled and waved goodbye to the mother and son as they left the park following Lukey's instructions. With them gone it was time to proceed with their operation. Lukey gave her a nod, and she stepped back to let him do his thing. She knew better than to get in a trained fighters way. She was insane but not stupid. She watched as the boy turned around, he didn't look too happy but he was planning something. At first it was hard to tell what he was doing, it wasn't liked she could see the telekinetic manipulation yet, but as Coltons plan came together in his mind she heard every word. However she didn't have as much time to react as she would have liked. She never had to use her powers in a serious situation like this.

"Lukey! Look out!" She called out just as Colton used Push/pull. Hopefully at least Lukey would have time to deal with the kids assault on him. "Lukey he is worried about his disorder being his downfall, something about breaking a bone. Hee is frail, use that to your advantage. But don't kill him! I need him!" Isabella shouted at Lukey as he hands rested by her bombs. She knew better than to use one now, Lukey was to close and she would get both of them if she used it, that wouldn't be a good thing.

"I don't know what is going on in that tiny brain of yours Tobias, but I don't want to, no girl in their right mind ever will." Cynthia said over her shoulder before going back and focusing on gathering her information. "But I will take that bet if you want, just to prove you wrong. Good luck with it and have fun. I will be doing something actually productive with my time." She commented. Cynthia highly doubted that he would complete it but if he did she would simply give him the number of the lead investigator if she could ever find it and get him to get the details they needed instead of whatever she could find on the internet. She didn't so much feel like talking to people so she would avoid it as much as she could and make Tobias do it instead.

Jex grinned from ear to ear, happy that Ryan liked his room. "You have a remote to control the blinds too." The older teen picked up a remote by the nightstand and pressed a button, lowering some blinds that went at the same angle as the window. The room was a bit darker now, and Jex hit the remote again to lighten the room again by bringing the blinds up. Then the rapid fire of questions happened , and the teen waited till they were over. Jex went over to the bed and sat down at the edge of it, looking at Ryan. "School... maybe you can go back... But with one of the guys still out there that wanted to kill you... It's probably not a good idea right now." Jex could sort of understand what it was like to have a normal life come to a stop, and to live through a live or death situation. "You can probably go back to school eventually... I did."

The violet eyed teen stood up, coming over Ryan. "
Don't worry about the clothes, I think we have some in storage... I might have even a few things I can give you. But we'll worry about that later, lets get you settled in." Jex picked up Ryan and then gently set him in the bed. "There..." Jex stood back as he pulled out the medications from his pockets and placed them on the nightstand. "Ready to get loopy?"

Nicole stood up from her seat as soon as the circle broke, watching Jean pace and then heard what he said. "Who? Who was watching us?"

Errol sensed something and stood up from the ground. "I'm not sure... But you're not safe here."

Something's wrong with Colton, Errol sent to Jean's mind. They wander off to the park, something is up. I'm going to find them. Stay here with these two. If someone has been watching them... They need to be safe.

Molly watched the adults walking around in a frenzy. So many things were happening, the little girl was confused.

Errol looked to Nicole, who was frightened with the sudden pace of things. "You need to stay calm. Pack up the things you'll need. We're going to take you to our academy... With Molly having powers, and your life being threatened, you two need to be in a secured location."

Nicole took it all in. It felt like the world was caving on her even more. She nodded her head. "Okay..."

"Jean will watch over you. I need to go take care of something... You will be safe. Hurry." With that, Errol excused himself and ran out the front door, going to the place where his spatial sense pulled him. I hope I'm not too late. Realizing he was missing someone, Errol reached out with his mind. Christie, where are you?

Nicole looked at Jean, taking in a quick breath. "I'm going to go pack. I'll be back in ten minutes." Nicole then rushed out of the living room and to her bedroom, quickly pulling out suitcases and began to throw things in.

Molly walked cautiously over Jean, looking up at him with her hazel eyes. She was unsure what was happening, but she knew she was going to leave the house with her mother. She was scared. Even though she didn't say anything out loud, she felt like she was asking for danger to come.

Ryan grinned when Jex controlled the blinds. That is so convenient! He thought about having lazy days, just playing video games on the bed.
"School... maybe you can go back... But with one of the guys still out there that wanted to kill you... It's probably not a good idea right now."
Ryan's grin turned into a frown.
He's right. I can't put everyone in danger. I might not be able to go back there.
He had to have a completely new life. No more normality, and no more safety anymore except for Jex, Errol, and whoever else was in this place.
"You can probably go back to school eventually... I did."
Ryan wasn't too sure. Would more people know about his case as opposed to Jex's. They did cause quite a lot of commotion today.

Jex then picked him up the same way he placed him in the taxi. His heart jumped a beat still even if it was the third time, and he just stared at his violet eyes while he placed him down. He normalized around Jex, but the fact they were by themselves in a room as opposed to an open outside space made him a little nervous.
    "Ready to get loopy?"
Ryan chuckled a little. "I guess. I hope they don't knock me out though."
He looked straight up at Jex's eyes and gave a sincere stare towards him.
"Thank you for everything today. If you and Errol weren't there, I wouldn't be here right now," he said, clutching on to the white bed covers, wanting to distract his mind away from the idea of dying. "You were there for me throughout the whole day." He repeated "Thank you" wanting to make sure he really was appreciative.

As Colton made his approach to Lucas, the investigator showed no signs of being visibly shocked. As he had said, Colton wasn't the first with powers to be taken down, so when his entire arm moved he really was not surprised. In fact, he had expected it. Predictable as always, he thought to himself. The boy reached him and grabbed his wrist, pushing the gun away from where it was aiming even further. He'll probably try to physically attack me now, Lucas thought. He was correct, indicated by Colton trying to elbow him in the stomach. "Wouldn't expect your kind to give up easily" Lucas said as he stepped back slightly, narrowly avoiding the elbow before retaliating with a swift kick from his legs into Colton's. Now for the arm. He focused his attention on resisting the telekinesis, and while he couldn't resist it entirely he did manage to move it slightly.

He saw the surprise on Colton's face. Even that, Lucas had expected. Using the moment of confusion and shock, the investigator did something that would shock Colton even more; he dropped his gun. The very second his fingers were no longer curled around it, Lucas stepped forward and rammed his shoulder into the boy, pushing him back with his full body weight and knocking him to the ground.

Not quite done, the detective picked up his gun before dashing forward. He remembered what Isabella said about his frail bones, and stood on the elbow joint with as much force as he could muster. The bones shattered immediately, rendering the boy's arm useless. He then lifted the boy up with his arms, before putting the gun to Colton's back and walking him into the car they had.
"It's a good thing you're just as stupid as the rest of the criminals i've captured" Lucas whispered coldly.

Christie felt Errol speaking to her in her mind. I just went to get a drink, no need to worry. I'm going to go get Colton then we will make our way back, see you in a bit came the response. Christie skipped along, the girl made her way over to the park she suspected Colton would be at. She was right, kind of. He was there, but from the looks of things he wouldn't be for long.
"Colton!" she shouted, sprinting towards him as the car started driving away. It didn't get very far before Christie formulated a plan. She grabbed onto the car telekinetically and pulled, causing the tyres to screech from spinning but not actually moving anywhere.

The moment another person showed up, Lucas raised an eyebrow. If this was a regular person, this would be no problem, if she had powers...well, things would be interesting. It turns out she did have powers. The car no longer moving, there wasn't much of an option here. "Isabella, take the wheel" he ordered, swapping places with Isabella then climbing into the back seat of their convertible. He had chosen a convertible for 2 reasons; for a situation like this, and because it looked kinda cool. Unlatching the top of the car, it came off and Lucas pushed it over the edge. "Release the vehicle or I will fire!" he boomed.

"Release Colton and I'll release the vehicle!" came the response.

    "That's not an option!"

"Then neither is releasing the car!"

"Then I guess we're taking casualties" Lucas said quietly. He glanced at Colton, seeing him now handcuffed and restrained, before pointing his gun straight at Christie and firing. He saw the girl grab her shoulder, unusual since he aimed for the head, but she did release the car and they then sped off into the distance, their mission a success.

Christie screamed in pain as the bullet hit her shoulder. She'd never felt anything like it, and it hurt quite a lot. Tearing a bit of her shirt off and wrapping it around her shoulder as best as she could to stop the bleeding, she gritted her teeth and then did what she could to focus her mind. The bullet shouldn't have hit her in the shoulder, not with the way the man had been aiming the gun. Had Colton just saved her life? She wasn't sure if Errol was still listening, but it was all the hope she had. Uncle Errol...they got him...they took Colton, she thought, crouching on the ground and beginning to sob. The mentor, the teacher, she responsible one...the one that had failed to protect Colton. That was her, that was Christie Yashiro.

He had avoided the the elbow to the stomach, something not that surprising. He also managed a kick to his leg almost bringing him down. He could hear the lady near by yelling something about his concerns about his bones. She must have had powers as well. He knew enough about telepaths to know when certain this were the work of one. Colton grunted but remained standing as he felt the resistance against his powers, the man even got is hand to move even. Colton was surprised and put all his effort into trying to hold control of his power and not so much paying attention to other things around him. The gun hit the ground, it still worked.... or not.

Colton was not quite sure what had happened as he hit the ground. Something had rammed into him, probably the mans body and now he was on the ground. He hadn't expected it to happen like that and it was such a quick transition. He looked up slightly dazed as Lucas approached him, not allowing him change to do much before he stepped on his arm crushing the bone in his elbow. Colton grunted and gritted his teeth as he did his best to choke down a scream but even then it could be heard through his grunts.

Colton went to reach over to grab for his broken arm, hold it as steady as possible when Lucas grabbed him by both of his arms. Picking him up by both Colton released the scream that he had been holding back. His eyes watered from the pain as he looked the man in the face before being forced to turn around, a gun pointed to his back. No way of adjusting the trajectory of this one. Besides the pain was causing him to feel light headed, chances were that he would pass out before he would ever be successful at getting it to a point a bullet would do no, or no serious harm to him. Colton didn't even really have the mind to react to the comment Lucas had on his intelligence. It was not like it was anything knew, everyone thought all he was was an idiot, nothing more. It wasn't true but that was what they thought of him.

Colton had been restrained and forced into the back of a car, not a common car for a police or government person or whatever this guy was, not that it mattered much at all. It wouldn't be long before he made his escape, his powers made that quite easy actually. Though he had to be careful not to plan things out too much because of the telepath messing with his plans. He only glanced at Isabella when he heard his name.

Isabella watched as the entire thing went down, the fighting and all. It did seem to be unnaturally easy for the boys bone to break. She couldn't help but be curious what he had that caused that. This boy seemed like he would be interesting to study indeed, and given his demeanor he might have some interesting things going on in his brain that India would enjoy. Five hundred million dollars, here they came.

Isabella climbed into the back of the car with Colton watching him closely. She was trying to resist the urge to mind walk, though she would like to know what went on in that brain of his. Since they were still in the middle of a kidnapping she knew that it would not be wise to do such a thing, she needed to keep herself vigilant.
"I am going to have fun with you. I have never gotten to experiment on a telekinetic before. It should be fun. Just be a good boy now, wouldn't want Lukey to hurt you more." Isabella commented not mentioning how she planned to hurt him in the process of her experiments. However she couldn't talk to her precious test subject anymore due to someone calling for the boy and Lukey ordering her to take the wheel, so she did as she was told.

Colton turned around as the top was put down and the car slow. Behind them stood Christie trying to stop the car. The government man, Lukey had switched places with the girl, Isabella and was now beside him yelling at Christie to release them. Colton stared at Christie, surprised anyone was caring enough to help him. She was trying to stop them from taking him. However it wasn't long before he heard Lukey, or Luke or whatever the hell his name was, talk about casualties and lift his gun. He did the only thing he could think to do at that moment and used his telekinetic manipulation to create a track of sorts to manipulate the path of the bullet at Christie, however he was unable to get it completely away before the gun was shot. He heard her scream out which was good, it meant she didn't die instantly, he hoped he had did enough to save her life. He owed her for trying to save his, but it was a lost cause.

Through all of this Colton did gain an advantage. As Isabella took off driving like a mad woman and Lukey was focused on Christie who was now on the ground crying he found it past the pain and the grogginess of using his powers so much to get to unlocking his hand cuffs, now only to unlock the door. He would jump out. He may break a couple more bones but a small price for his life in his opinion. That was if Errol or someone who could help him would be up the road soon enough to help him before Lukey and Isabella came back for him.

"Lukey!" Isabella shouted from the front seat. "The experiment has gotten his handcuffs undone and now is thinking of jumping out of the car. We can't let that happen can we? I need the money from the experiments. They are going to give us lots of it if we can find how exactly his mind works." Isabella explained so calmly, foiling Colton's plan without having to look at him. She had kept a telepathic link with the boy, they were forged easier than they were to get rid of. In a large group it was easy to forge more than intended and cause it to be hard to focus anymore. She used the telepathic link to keep an ear on her experiment. She didn't want to lose him after all.

Jex grinned, giving Ryan a thumbs up sign. "Hey, don't sweat it. We're used to these kinds of rescue operations. Let me get you a glass of water." Jex went over to a small door in the bedroom where Ryan would have his own private bathroom and found some paper cups set by the sink. They only had Disney ones with Mickey Mouse, Donald, Goofy, and Minnie on them, but it was alright. The older teen grabbed on and filled it up, bringing it back to Ryan. "You're lucky, you get your own bathroom. I have to share one with some of the others."

Jex took out the pills from the containers, whistling lowly when he saw the size of them. He knew pills and he knew their effects, but these ones were monsters. "
This one," he said, holding up a yellow large one "is for pain. The small white ones are you antibiotics... The pain one you should take every six hours as needed, and the antibiotics once everyday. The pain meds will be the thing that will wipe you out. As for your dressing, Errol knows how to change them, but we also have a nurse too. I think you're suppose to get it changed every day. I would offer to help, but..." Jex chuckled nervously, handing the glass of water and medications to Ryan "Yeah. I'll probably pass out on you."

Jex sat down on the edge of the bed, smiling at Ryan. He was adorable, that much Jex could fathom through this haze of emotions of the day. "
Hey, if you need anything, just give a little whistle." The teen laughed at his own joke and then tapped his forehead. "I mean, try to send me a thought. I'll keep my line open to you. Even though you don't have the same level of power as me, I can still read thoughts and communicate through them. I'll come as fast as I can. Is there anything else you need before I go?"

Christie, don't go. Whatever you do, stay-

But Errol was cut off when he rounded the corner and saw the scene unfold before him. It was the one he had only in nightmares, but it was real as it could be. "COLTON!" Errol shouted in dismay. This wasn't happening, this COULDN'T happen. A gun shot sounded as Errol rushed to chase after the car, and he heard a scream. Christie. Looking to see that the girl was only kneeling on the ground, Errol kept in the back of his mind to go check on her later. There was a bigger emergency on hand.

Uncle Errol...they got him...they took Colton.

    I know.

Errol looked at the vehicle before him, taking in all the fine details in the chaos. He held out his hand like a gun and began to "shoot" pebbles and small debris at the speed of an M64 (high caliber gun) at the tires to try to pop them out or cause the car to skid with little to no control. He then aimed for where the driver would be, firing more "bullets" that would ultimately at least get through the back window. The car was getting farther and farther away. There was no way to stop it, but he could try. He then put his free hand to his left temple, reaching his hand out to the car. He felt the telekinetic pull get weaker and weaker, but Errol tried to lift it from the ground with levitation. If he could just slow it down somehow without crashing it badly and kill everyone inside.

Colton, I'm here. What ever happens, if I can't stop this... I WILL be looking for you. WE will be looking for you. Stay strong. You already showed so much strength these passed few years. I'm not saying that to be nice, it's true. Keep fighting, no matter what.

The man was glaring at the car as he continued to try to stop it. His eyebrows were furrowed heavily, his arm shaking as he tried to exort more energy to grab the vehicle. He wasn't going to let one of his students get taken away so easily, not on his watch.

    [IMG][IMG]
Moments later, Nicole came back to the living room with two suitcases packed. One was more adult looking, the other one was purple with flowers on it, obviously Molly's. Through the stream of the moment, Nicole had grabbed Molly's floppy teddy bear, handing it to the little girl. "Are you ready?" the mother asked her little daughter, feeling like they had little to no time to stay around for very long. When Molly nodded her head while hugging her teddy bear to her chest, she looked up at Jean. "We're ready," she said quietly, ready to move.

Lyle Richard Strain had left his lab hours ago. He was at a different location, his own private lab. There was no need to stay around his cowokers, especially if they were completely focused on other things. And conducting his own experiments away from the eyes of his associates seemed to be ideal to the man. Why would he share his work with everyone else? It was flawed, incomplete. He wanted to be sure he had all the research underway before pushing his theories and ideas on others. Everyone else was leaving him alone, so he would do the same.

Classical music was playing in the background of his observation area as he watched a scene unfold before him on the other side of the eight inch glass that separated him from what was happening.

A brunette girl with light brown eyes was crouched behind some wooden crates, locked in a tiny room with a dirt floor and a setting that felt like she was in a warehouse of sorts. She was panting hard, sweat was pouring down her face, dirt and grim smudged her bare skin, and she was wearing a stained white shirt with ragidgy black pants that had holes and rips in them. She looked as if she missed a few meals, and she had cuts and bruises on her still healing dotting her whole body. A black collar of sorts was wrapped around her neck, almost like a choker.

A robotic figure rounded the corner where she hid, finding her. The girl gasped as she looked up at the red optics, barely rolling out of the way as the robot punched downward. Wood splintered everywhere, and the girl covered her head as she ducked behind another crate. Quickly looking around, she found a piece of wood and took it in her hands. Shakily, she jumped out of her hiding spot, crying out when she swung at the robot. The robot was quickly to move, countering the attack with a punch to the girl's stomach, hard.

The girl grunted as the piece of wood fell out of her hands and then was kicked by the metallic being to the wall. The girl cried out in pain when her spine collided with the hard surface, eyes shutting in agony as the pain washed over her whole body. She slid down the wall, crumbling into a ball on the dirt floor.

    "
    Get up," Lyle commanded coldly.

The girl's eyes snapped open, doing as she was told without hesitation. She touched the collar out of habit, praying in her heart that she did the right thing quick enough.

Lyle hummed out, happy his subject obeyed him. He was careful how he obtained his "resources" for his studies, and knew he couldn't dispose of them easily. They only lasted so long though... However, this one proved resilient. The female supernatural human lasted him around two years after all... Had it really been that long? However, he knew she was getting to the end of her days. It was time to make things interesting now, no need to focus on the grim aspects of having to obtain more subjects like her. He then pressed a button on his robotic arm, watching with anticipation of how this was going to play out.

The robot's optics changed from a red to a yellow as it formed it's hand into a gun, firing something small at the girl's neck.

The girl jumped and then flinched when something hit her, but it wasn't that hard surprisingly. She gasped when she felt something dig into her neck just above the black choker, and then felt her head begin to pound. She grunted, doubling over as she slid down the wall to grab her neck where the thing was. She tried to pull at the circular metal thing that was digging into her skin, but she realized it was fusing into her.

The robotic figure stood there, scanning the girl's prognosis and waiting for the little gadget to take affect. Soon, a small, feminine voice could be heard, but the girl's mouth wasn't moving.

    "
What is going on?! What is this?! Get this thing off of me!" The girl gasped out loud as she realized her heard her thoughts reverberating through the small room. "No! STOP THAT! GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"

Lyle smirked from the other side. It had worked.
"How does it feel to have the tables turned on you, my dear?"

The girl was tearing up now as the pain of the gadget pulsated at her neck and into her head. "
I want to go home," she thought, which the robot played out loud. "... I want to go... Please..."

"If you don't remember, your parents are the ones that gave you up. And you can forget about your dear old grandmother, she's probably dead by now." Lyle wasn't one to beat around the bush. His was secretly ecstatic this thing had actually worked. After years of experimentation and research, he had finally tapped into how to become a telepathic himself... This was all too good to be true.

As Jex was getting water for him and his pills, he was reminded of how kind the telepathic was. He watched him as he was getting his water. When he turned around to his side, he was still entranced by those eyes. Violet. That was his favorite color. His smile as well just made him go gaga too. His long brown hair obstructed his vision as he shuffled his head slightly. He wiped it away. When returning to Ryan, Jex had two sets of pills; Yellow ones and white ones. He explained what they did, and Ryan nodded every time he said a sentence so he knows he understood. He then explained about having to change bandages every day.
"I would offer to help, but...Yeah. I'll probably pass out on you."
Wow, he helped me out back there, but still held strong...for me.
He shook his head and chuckled a little at his own thought.
    I'm so pathetic.
Ryan looked up at him, and grinned. "I don't mind. I'll catch you when you fall," he replied. He rolled his eyes at his own comment. That was pathetic. He blushed once more. How many times was it now?
"Hey, if you need anything, just give a little whistle." The teen laughed at his own joke. Ryan was confused, and just sat there trying to figure out why he was laughing. He then tapped his forehead. "I mean, try to send me a thought. I'll keep my line open to you. Even though you don't have the same level of power as me, I can still read thoughts and communicate through them. I'll come as fast as I can. Is there anything else you need before I go?"

There was one question on his mind. He needed to know for certain about how he felt. He always got his hopes up to be turned down by the girls at his school. He didn't exactly want to be direct either.
"What...do you think of me?" he asked, looking intently at Jex with his golden eyes.

Tyson sat with his daughter on a rickety worn brown leather couch, watching the latest episode of Dora The Explorer with his little girl. He was stroking her hair to try to get her to sleep, and noticing that she was finally asleep, he began to sob. He turned off the TV, and thought about his wife, Lucy, his son, Ethan, and now his friend, Rick (otherwise known as Bruiser). He's almost lost everything that is close to him, and he squeezed his daughter, Rebecca, closer. She was the only thing he cared for in this world. Tears began to slide down his neck. If it wasn't for these psychic creeps, his daughter would be having a much better life. Now she grieves as much as he does. She stays silent most of the time. She used to be such a cheerful child. She always was jumping up and down, excited about the day. Now she stays inside, reads, and keeps to herself. It crushed Tyson. He looked up at a picture of the four of them together with large smiles on their face.
"I miss you both. I wish I could get you back."
He looked down at his daughter. "I will keep her safe along with many other families. They need to be stopped."
The thought of there being innocent people around these psychopaths came up in his mind time and time again, but there was no other option. They're too dangerous. He picked her up and walked down the once happy hallways of the household. As he passed the door, he remembered the time he was holding his wife in a wedding dress into her new house. He remembered Ethan running around the house with his hands up like an airplane. Tears rained down his cheeks as he carried his daughter to her room. He placed her down onto her princess pink bed and kissed her on the cheek.
He left the room, and turned left into the front doorway. Behind the door were his AK47, bulletproof vest, knife, and shotgun. He grabbed them with a frown. It's been one year since his wife and son were killed. This problem needed to be dealt with now. He left the house, locked the door, and headed for the headquarters.

Before Errol left, he had tossed Jean the keys to the car they would be using to leave the residence. Left hand held the keys tight while the other gently patted Molly's small head, taking a lot to remain calm. "Everything's going to be ok. I won't let anything happen to you or your mother." Jean said softly, giving Molly a tender smile. Face meant what it was portraying, but the heart said a whole other story. It was thumping a bit fast, which was normal. It only meant he was feeling anxious at the moment. This was the first time in a while that any action stirred within the city, and it honestly concerned him. Even more so now that he had the responsibility bestowed upon him to keep them safe. Removing said hand off of Molly's head, he pocketed hands into Jacket and leaned head against the wall, exposing his small Adam's apple/trachea while allowing eyes to gaze at the ceiling. A small sigh escaped nostrils while he contemplated on the situation. It was Colton who was apparently in danger. Considering everything that had started to unfold, Jean could only assume it was the same group of people involved in Carter's missing persons case. Oh how he hated the amount drama. Unable to hold back, foot began to tap against the wooden floor as time went by; specifically ten minutes.

"Errol." Jean called out with his mind. He was no telepath, but if Errol was attentive, then surely he would hear him even if something came up at the park. "Errol... Is everything alright with Colton? What's going on?" thoughts queried while footsteps reverberated off the walls.

Jean looked away from the ceiling to momentarily lock eyes with the woman of the house. Nicole came walking towards them with bags ready, taking a moment to hand Molly a teddy bear.
"We're ready," she said quietly. Giving her a nod, Jean took point and opened the front door, not really bothering with manners as he needed to make sure they were safe. Left hand was already out of pockets with thumb ready to press the unlock button while Nicole took the time to lock he house door. Making quick work with time, the scholar escorted the two to Errol's car. For the sake of safety, he had the two sit in the back. Injecting the key into the ignition slot, right hand turned the key until the engine came to life. Foot held the breaks for a moment as made a quick shift of the stick from park to drive. Upon hearing the click, he turned the wheel in order to drive out of the side of the street and into the weak traffic. Hands were on the wheel, and eyes were looking straight ahead onto the road. It only took a minute to reach the red light at the end. He sat there contemplating for a moment as the lights did their job to guide the streets traffic. Thumb tapped away on the leather wheel, pupils dilated a big decision weighed on him.

"I can make it to the park if I make a left on the stop sign a few blocks down after this avenue... Perhaps..." the thought lingered in his head. Lower lip was unintentionally being nibbled on. Another sigh escaped Jean, this time a heavy one. "God I hate drama...." he uttered to himself as the red light became green. The gas pedal was pressed as the car moved on to the next avenue across the street. Buildings were reflected off the windows of the car as they moved past several structures. Thumb continued to tap away at the wheel, the weight of responsibility becoming more and more harder to deal with. Colton was under HIS care, and now he had to take care of Nicole and Molly. If something happened to Colton... it would be his fault. If he went to park to assist on whatever the problem was, then he'd also be putting Nicole and Molly in danger.

The car stopped at a stop sign. He was now wishing he never brought Colton into the investigation. Jean quickly looked at the rear view mirror to get a quick glance at Molly. Her little arms were clinging to her teddy real tight. Brown eyes shifted to Nicole's reflection before averting themselves back to the street. He knew what he had to do...

His mask received a small hairline fracture. Letting go of the brakes, he led the car forward and on-wards to the Academy, trusting Errol to deal with what should be his own responsibility.

Tyrant was driving down the streets of Reno, seeing the lamps begin to flash on as the surroundings became covered in darkness. Men, women and children were beginning to leave convenience and novelty stores around the area. Tyrant had an intercom as he was heading towards Las Vegas, and he heard reports of shots fired.
"We've had reports of shots being fired at 111th Street. Please mobilize."
Tyrant at first ignored the message. There was nothing about any psychopaths. 99% of the time, this was the case.
However, the officer spoke again in a shaky voice. "Reports are coming in of a levitated car. How do we want to proceed, sir?" he said afterwards off the microphone.
It seemed like they were used to incidents like this. In usual towns, these cases would be seen as strange.
"Do not engage. Repeat. Do not engage. We will send in a task force."
Tyrant grinned. "It's time to kill some of these freaks," he muttered. He stepped on the exhaust, and accelerated down the streets of Reno, hoping to catch them.

The teen nearly fell off the bed when the question was suddenly dropped. What did he think of the boy? Like... Love? Looks? Powers? Jex was almost confused, and then he forced himself to look at the brown haired boy's eyes. Love... What does think I think about him concerning... love. Jex blushed deeply, clearing his throat. He never really thought much about it. Hell, he didn't think he would have a chance with it because of what he was. But here he was... Staring at it in the face. Jex clapped his hands together, nervously rubbing them together. "Um... Well... I just met you... But you seem really cute, fun, and..." Gosh he was sounding sappy. "Easy going... You seem like you're a very good person." Jex smiled, masking how nervous this was making him feel just blurting this all out. He never really knew how to flirt, he just watched shows and others around him intently to figure out how they did it. Now? He was wondering if this pounding in his chest, the hot feeling around his ears and neck, feeling this freaked out about telling someone honestly what he felt, was natural.

    [IMG][IMG]
Molly watched Jean as things were progressing quickly. Thoughts of stress, drama, pain, a sense of failure... Molly only understood them as heavy, dark feelings. She clutched the bear tightly to her chest, hearing something from down the street. She looked up, only to see nothing but cars, street lights, and houses. The wind was blowing eerily in the breeze. She heard her mom smack her neck, and looked up at her. "Mosquitoes," Nicole muttered under her breath, hurrying Molly down the sidewalk to the car. Molly took one last look behind her before she was made to go in the back seat of a car with her mother. Molly thought she saw a shadow of sorts on the roof and gasped, only to see nothing again. Scared out of her mind already, Molly quickly got into the car with her mother and clutched her teddy bear tightly to her chest.

Soon the car was moving and everything was falling into place. Molly still wasn't relaxed though. She watched Jean from the back seat, watching his body language and sensing distress of some sorts emitting off of him. Her mother was almost as tense as him, swallowing constantly and rubbing at her neck. Nicole looked to her daughter though and smiled at her, wrapping an arm around the little girl, who leaned into it right away. Molly looked down to the floorboards, not wanting to watch the world go by. She shouldn't have said anything, should she? Was this going to help them find her brother? Would her mother be happy? Molly was brought out of her thoughts by her mother's movement. It was then the little girl noticed her mother acting oddly. She was blinking her eyes rapidly, turning pale, almost like she was sick. Molly touched her mother's lap, but the woman wouldn't respond. Her breathing started to sound labored, almost raspy.

Jean! Something's wrong with my mommy! the little girl blurted out to the man's mind.

She was scared. What if the shadow she saw was actually really there? What if the threat that her mother was going to die if she told was now being realized?

Nicole was grabbing at her chest, gasping for air. She couldn't speak. She didn't realize anything was wrong until now. The place in her neck where she thought the mosquito had bit her was throbbing. What was happening?

Ryan laughed in hysterics when Jex fell off the bed, and his cheeks felt like a radiator. Jex sat back down. He then looked at his eyes again, and Ryan saw Jex blushing more than ever before today. He was close to the red on Ryan's face.
This is too fast. Why did I ask him?
He watched Jex act like he never did before as he nervously clapped his hands and rubbed them as he was trying to think what he was going to say. He felt his spine tingle, and his eyes began to get teary. Never has someone felt this way towards him before, and he just met him.
""Um... Well... I just met you... But you seem really cute, fun, and..."
    Cute? Fun?
Ryan couldn't believe what he was hearing.
    Me? Cute?
He stopped for a little as he gave a contemplating look on what to say next. Ryan's breath was taken away
"Easy going... You seem like you're a very good person," Jex said, finishing his sentence.
A few seconds passed as Ryan was trying to process what he said. His face was getting hotter, and his heart beat was racing and hitting the wall of his chest. He couldn't even respond as his chest kept grabbing his voice away by how little breath he was able to get. Quickly, out of spark, Ryan stared at Jex's violet eyes, and just leaned in.
No, no, what am I doing!? This is way too fast!
At first, he was going to kiss him on the lips, and then out of nerves, he switched to the cheek. Towards the end. he thought about stopping mid-way, but then he realized. It's too late. He leaned right in, and kissed him on his warm cheek as Ryan put a hand on the right side of Jex's face. He caressed it once, stared at his eyes with a quivering look and then backed away, looking at the window instead of looking at Jex. He was so embarrassed.
"I'm...I'm..." he stammered, getting redder and redder. Beads of sweat appeared on his forehead. He covered his face with his hands wanting to avoid any contact with the outside world. He was even embarrassed about how he was reacting, but there was nothing else he could do. He never was in a relationship, and he never had someone care for him that much.
No, no, no, I can't, I just, why did I do that!?

The sound of a desperate child calling for help was enough to knock anyone out of their own thoughts. The car came to a disturbing halt, as wheels skidded the car towards the side of the avenue nearby two towering buildings on both sides. Surviving the inertia, Jean put the car on park and turned around to Molly's mother. At this point, Jean's mind just focused on Nicole, not really caring for the fact that Molly had just spoken to him via telepathy. "Nicole! What's wrong!?" he queried in grand concern. Irises looked towards the woman's chest as he took note of the way her hands were grasping at the sternum. Her skin was rather pale, as if she wasn't getting any air or something. Quickly unbuckling his seatbelt, he unlocked the driver's seat and ran to the back where Molly and Nicole were. Feet stepped onto the sidewalk, and upon opening the door to Nicole's side, he unbuckled the woman's seat belt and quickly checked for a pulse on her neck. However, upon checking doing so he came across a small area near the left carotid artery. "What the..." he muttered to himself, astonished by the mark. Something did not feel right at all to him. He quickly looked outside the car to see if anything was out of the ordinary. Nothing. Brown eyes caught sight of an old lady walking by. Heart was beginning to race as the thought of them being followed was a possibility. His breathing was heavy, anxious at the potential threat that could be following them. At the same time, this anger was welling up inside of him. A sense injustice if you will. He turned back to Nicole, but only to find that her arms had gone limp.

Jean's heart dropped instantly, and the horror was reflected in his earthy eyes. "NICOLE!" he shouted out of desperation, grabbing her by the shoulders. Heart rate was beginning to accelerate as he could feel the sense of failure crawling closer and closer to him like some predator stalking its prey. Was this woman that was under his protective care about to die? What about Molly? Her brother was still out there, and Nicole...to die without closure. Jean stared at Nicole, feeling helpless. Failure was sinking its dirty filthy jaws on him, and Nicole was about to suffer because of it. Emotional pain welled up in Jean, manifesting as small tears that were ready to burst in through Earthy eyes that reflected Nicole's helpless form. He turned to Molly, lost in what to do. Mandible tensed as Jean allowed that indignant side of him to awaken. Nicole was all Molly had left thanks to these unknown people. Who did they think they were anyway? Just taking as they pleased because **** it. They could do it, right? The world was theirs right? No. Brows furrowed as Jean turned to Nicole, realizing just how much of a scumbag this group of abductors were. Who or what gave them the right to take a life? Or to ruin a life? Everyone was born equally. Just because someone had the power to mess with another's life, didn't give them the right to DO so.

Tears subsided as Jean could feel himself comeback to his senses. Hands quickly pressed themselves on Nicole's clavicles, allowing the sense of touch to guide Jean throughout the woman's entire working of her own body within fractions of a second. It was like a biological systems check. The numbness this woman was feeling around the mark on her neck. Her mouth and lips were numb as well. Heart was still functioning, so that was good. Further investigation led Jean to realize that her nervous system was not responding. Further more, he could see how the woman's lungs were struggling to the point that they might as well not even be functioning. Just what caused this? Was she poisoned somehow? Where? When? What type of toxin was it? What degree of toxicity? Time was running out, and he could feel it. Teeth gritted as he raced against time. It took less than a second for Jean to reach Nicole's bloodstream.

"Ok the facts... The point of the toxins entry was on her neck. Carotid artery would imply that it's already reached her heart, and spread throughout the body. Taking her symptoms into account...it was probably sometime ago...maybe 20 minutes ago?" he queried out loud. IN order to by some time, he did something that was really loathing. He wanted to ask Nicole for permission, but it was futile as she was clearly paralyzed AND there was just no time to debate about this. Closing his eyes, he just did it. Thumb and index pressed against Nicole's nose while other hand expanded the woman's jaw in order to open mouth. "I'm sorry Nicole! But I need to buy you some time!" he shouted out loud. Eyes shut themselves as he focused on the air around them. Reaching out, he met the molecules that surrounded them. The air around them was a mixture of other elements, and he knew just how small of a percentage oxygen had in this mixture. There was Nitrogen, and lots of it, but he didn't need that. Oxygen and other elements like argon, carbon dioxide, and methane danced as one in this mixture of gases. Reaching out to the oxygen and carbon dioxide molecules, he began to separate it from the others. At the same time, he began to reach out to Nicole's lungs. The trachea, the bronchi which connected to many forms of bronchus and on both lungs as well as the tertiary Bronchi. The tiny cells and tissues that helped make this beautiful organ in the human body were tapped into, but most importantly the Diaphragm. Multi-tasking with all this, he got to work. He forced Nicole's diaphragm to contract, causing the lungs to inhale the incoming oxygen and carbon dioxide that Jean was manipulating into her system. It was a form of therapy that would help by them time; by them he meant Molly and himself.

"Molly, keep a close eye out for anything suspicious while I do this, ok? You're my eyes and ears now. I need you to stay focused, got it?" he queried while remaining focused on the task at hand.

Doing this, the air reached the alveoli where the air exchange began to occur. Lungs would thus begin to separate carbon dioxide and oxygen. Through the natural working of the body, lungs would begin to excrete the carbon dioxide through mouth as they exhaled the gas, soon to inhale once again. Jean did this for a while, guiding Nicole's respiratory system in it's natural function. The good news was, they avoided cardiac arrest. Bad news, they weren't out of the woods yet. All the while, the car was motionless, and quiet.

When he was confident enough in his level of focus, Jean would then begin to reach out to Nicole's body. He searched frantically for whatever it was that was causing Nicole these symptoms. He knew it was some kind of toxic agent, because pathogens took hours to incubate in a host before unleashing its chaos in the human body. That was just how pathogens worked, new or old. Mind swam in the woman's bloodstream, searching for the toxin. In a matter of a millisecond he was able to find the abnormality in her bloodstream. It only took him longer because of the amount of toxins in her. Tetrodotoxin, histamine, tryptamine, octopamine, taurine, acetylcholine, and dopamine; with Tetrodotoxin being the neurotoxin involved in Nicole's paralysis. It's what caused her motor paralysis as well as Respiratory arrest. Saliva slipped down Jeans throat in heaviness. There was just too many to focus on at once. There really was only one other way...

"Toxicology 101. Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and excretion..." he muttered under his breath, eyes still closed. They were in the Distribution phase of this dilemma. That was good because the next step was one that he was oh so very versed in. "Metabolism Phase 1... " Jean recited. The body normally takes 8 to 10 hours after affliction of the tetrodotoxins to wear off, and that's because of the human's natural rate of metabolizing the poison. However, what Jean was attempting was to speed up her Metabolism by manipulating the hepatic enzymes that would catalyze reactions such as Oxidation, reduction, and the hydrolysis mechanism in order to relocate the said poison.

At this point, Nicole would begin to feel strange. It would feel as if the tiniest part of her body was tingling, but it would be such a small feeling that all she would really feel is light headed which would lead her to falling asleep.

Sweat was pouring out of Jean as it was a strainous activity for him. One thing was to do it on himself; which was easy, but it was a completely different story when manipulating someone's microscopic being in such a way. Everyone was different, and their metabolisms varied vastly. Aside from the fact that he was forcing Nicole's body to metabolize the poisons rather fast, but he was also processing Nicole's respiratory system, AND commanding oxygen/carbon dioxide to enter her body while separating them from the mixture that was Earth's air.

"Phase 2..." he recited in order to keep focused. If anyone could see his mind right now, it would be the equivalent of a powerful computer multi-tasking, processing information at such an incredible rate.

Synthesis reactions began to occur in Nicole's body. This was all leading to the Excretion phase. Conjugation occurred and the toxin's were beginning to be processed around. Some would go to the kidneys where Toxicants are removed in the kidney by glomerular filtration, tubular excretion by passive diffusion, and active tubular secretion. Other's would move to the digestive tract where they would be moved to liver and back, and others...well...

Jean's breathing was becoming intense, as his mind was finding itself reaching a new limit it had never discovered before.

Nicole's body would soon find itself feeling hot: face cheeks, forehead, neck, pits, arms, torso, lower body as the tetrodotoxin would be excreted through her sweat glands. It would come out in a weird form of sweat. It was clear sweat, but milky in a sense like yellow armpit sweat.

Jean's mandible tensed as he could feel an intense pressure in his skull. It was over. He made a quick sweep of Nicole's inner body, making sure he got everything out of her. At this point, he felt like a man who was on the final count of a workout where muscles were just so tired but you just knew you had a few more to go. When everything checked out ok to him, he little by little let go of the controls. First the control of the oxygen and carbon dioxide he was guiding into her lungs, then the trachea and lungs before finally letting go of her diaphragm. Hand let go of Nicole's nostrils, and he opened his eyes.

He sat there next to Nicole, looking over her exhausted, and weak. Wanting to check her pulse, right hand struggled to reach over Nicole's neck to check her pulse. Slowly but surely, weighted hand made it to her neck to check for a pulse.

A small smile formed on Jean before tear ducts released moisture. Nicole was going to make it, but she just needed rest; which was suggested by her closed eyes. Thankfully, her chest was expanding the way it would when someone inhaled in order to exhale again. Slowly his head turned to the rear view mirror in front them. It was there he saw his face. Eyelids withdrew in astonishment. His eyes were bloody red, and his nose was dripping with a trail of blood. Jean closed his eyes, and remained seated next to Nicole in small contemplation. For you see, it had been a while since Jean came to a bodily reaction like the one he just witnessed. The blood dripping from his nose. This only ever happened when he pushed his mind beyond a limit and to a new territory.

"Manipulating a human body at such a level... I've found a new limit I must surpass." he thought, a small grin escaping him.

Hopefully Molly was not creeped out by Jean's bloody eyes and nose. They would remain in the car like this, just letting the cars drive by as the day slowly went away; trafficking becoming an inevitable thing to encounter once Jean was good and ready to drive. But boy oh boy, his entire body was tingling.

As Isabella warned Lucas of Colton's attempted to escape, Lucas wasted no time at all. He turned his attention away from Christie and back to Colton. "It won't be that easy" he said, taking the handcuffs off of Colton as he held his gun pointed at the boy. Still holding it there, he allowed the handcuffs to fall to the ground and then he reached over to grab the other ones, handcuffs that had specifically been designed for the capture of telekinetics. They neutralised their powers putting them on, but unfortunately did nothing to them before they were locked around the hands. He was still looking straight at Colton and watching his movements when he showed a look of confusion. Where were those handcuffs? He was sure they'd been there a moment earlier.

    ...

He let out a sigh and out of the corner of his eye, looked down for less than half a second to see them moving around slightly. "Fucking telekinetics" Lucas said in an irritated tone. Pulling the gun back, he swung it with immense force and hit Colton across the face of it with the barrel. "Try a stunt like that again, and you'll lose your other arm. Permanently" Lucas said. Attaching the handcuffs, his attention was diverted yet again by the sound of one of the tyres popping. Isabella didn't strike him as any sort of stunt driver, and given she was a scientist he was reasonably sure she didn't do much off-road driving, so turning around he dove towards the wheel, grabbing it and doing his best to stabilize it before letting go. "You'd be surprised how much this happens. Too often if you ask me, but what can you do?" he said, before grabbing the bag of bombs Isabella had brought along with them.

He chose the purple one and the rainbow one; Paralysis and Hallucinations, respectively. If they were paralysed it made it impossible for them to continue coming after them or trying to stop them, and if they were hallucinating it would make it harder for them to discern truth from reality, which in turn bought them more time to get Colton back to Vegas and the labs. He wasn't going to give Errol a warning, he'd seen how effective that was, not that he'd expected any differently. Hurling the bombs as far as he could manage, they barely made it to the two Powered individuals that had tried to stop them, exploding at their feet. Amidst the paralysing smoke he couldn't see what happened to the older man, but he did see the girl drop flat on the ground before the smoke enveloped her too. Turning his attention back to the road, he pushed Isabella out of the way and took over driving. It was a successful mission, of that he was fairly certain, and that made him pleased. However, with the amount of effort people had put into stopping them, well he was even more sure that they wouldn't let him simply vanish without putting up a fight. Now was where the true battle against those with powers began.

Christie looked up as Errol arrived, watched as he tried to save Colton, and then felt only more despair as he failed. "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..this is my fault. I should've been there, I should have paid closer attention, I'm a failure as a teacher and friend and..I'm sorry.." was all Christie could say. Her eyes opened wide in shock and fear as the bombs were thrown out and bounced towards her. What were they? What did they do?

The moment the bombs exploded, Christie's hallucinations began. In her mind, she saw the car turn around and drive back. From the car, one person emerged. It was the man that had shot her, the man that had shot Colton. She tried to move, she tried to run, and she tried to use her telekinesis to stop the man, but she couldn't move at all; she was completely paralysed. The man walked over to her and shook his head. She couldn't hear his words very well, but she was sure he was saying something about there never being too many lab rats.

The man bent down and seemed to examine her body, checking measurements and such. He scratched his head for a moment, then took out a pen and paper and began writing notes. "What are you doing? Where's Colton? What do you need him for?" Christie asked, but she got no answer, only the occasional glance as the man continued taking notes. After a minute, he kneeled down and lifted up a single strand of hair, before writing more notes. "Don't touch me!" the girl exclaimed. He stopped taking notes, putting away his pen and paper. A grin appeared on his face as he grabbed her arms. Christie began writhing around and screaming, but the man wouldn't stop. He grabbed her and pulled her back to the car before throwing her into the back, where she saw a dead Colton. Her screams intensified as the hallucinations continued, but to the outside world all she was was a screaming girl terrified of the air around her.

Tobias grinned. "There isn't a woman alive that doesn't want me. And if they don't, then after just a couple of minutes they will. Even you, you're just in denial, but you'll get there eventually. They always do" the boy stated, before turning around to look for someone to prove it on. "Be back in just a minute" he said, strolling off around the library. In about ten minutes he was back with a red handprint on his face. Rubbing it as it was sore, he opened his mouth to explain what had happened. "Now that one just wasn't fair. I take back what I said before. There isn't a straight woman alive that doesn't want me. That one was a ****, lesbian, whatever you wanna call them. I tried to talk her into havin' a little fun with her girlfriend and me, and I got given this as a response" he said, tapping his cheek as he said so.

"I'm gonna give it one more crack" Tobias stated, determined as ever as he walked off once more. Returning only five minutes later this time, he leaped over to the table Cynthia was at and slammed a piece of paper in front of her. "See that blonde chick over there? Her name's Summer. She probably mentioned a job or whatever, but I didn't really pay much attention to that. I found like, the book on the highest shelf and asked her to get it. She did, and had to stretch up reeeal high, then I found one down low and asked for that as well. She probably thinks i'm some lazy ass, but man the view was worth it. Point is, I got her number, so gimme yours" the assassin said, childish as ever.

Errol felt the car slipping farther and farther away. He was so focused on saving Colton, he barely had time to look up when something flew at him. "Damn!" But it was too late. Smoke exploded at Errol's feet, and the man stepped back, only to instantly be consumed by it. He coughed and lost complete and total control over the getaway vehicle. The left arm that was extended out immediately begin to lose feeling while the rest of his body just felt strange. He collapsed to one knee, waving the smoke away, coughing as he realized the vehicle was gone, and so was Colton.

It was as if something had crushed his heart when he realized what had just transpired. One of his own students, being kidnapped in front of his eyes, and he was too late to save them... The feelings were overwhelming. Screams brought Errol back into reality, and he looked to where Christie was. Forcing himself to stand, he winced as he felt his left leg buckle, but caught himself as he clutched his left arm and hobbled over to her. What ever had hit her was causing some sort of illusion. Errol heavily knelt to the ground, using his right hand to touch her forehead. Though exhausted, the man was using what energy he had left to help the student that he could save.

Christie, I'm here. You are just seeing an illusion. Calm down... Take in a deep breath, you're going to be alright.Nothing is happening, you are here with me. You are safe... It's alright...

What happened next took Jex completely off guard. The older teen's eyes widened as he felt his breath being taken away by how close Ryan was to him. He never, ever had anyone make a move like this on him in his life. Sure he was nice, but he didn't know he could attract anyone like this before. His mind felt lightheaded, it felt like he didn't even have a heartbeat and he felt his cheeks getting hotter. He didn't have time to react when Ryan suddenly changed directions and kissed his cheek instead. What added even more to the excitement of the scenario was that Ryan had placed a hand over his cheek and caressed it so gently. It was the kind of touch Jex had craved for since he was a child. But now he was a teen, and soon to be an adult. Someone around the same age was giving him the affection that he believed he deserved.

When it was over and Ryan sat there, burying his head in his hands. Jex sat on the bed, stunned with what was happening... Wondering what exactly DID happen. He touched his cheek, feeling a tingling sensation there where Ryan's soft lips were. He stared dumb founded at the boy, his moth agape. When he read Ryan's emotions, the teen forgot himself and laughed. "
You missed," Jex said quietly, smiling.

Were they rushing it, maybe. But Jex never had anyone liked him before, not like this. Was this all of Ryan's doing? He hoped so. He hoped he didn't manipulate this scenario. His uncle warned him so many times about that... He almost knew what it was like when he tried to use his powers on a friend to help her. He almost got them both killed though. He sighed out heavily, folding his hands in her lap as he looked to the floor to give Ryan some space. He didn't know whether to stay or go, or if he should make a move or not. His logical side of his brain was starting to kick in, reminding him that Ryan almost died today, that he had a freaking bullet wound in his chest. Maybe the emotions were just catching up to him. Maybe things were getting confused because of that. He didn't know. He just didn't know.

Nicole was panicking for one moment, fighting to live, to survive for her two children. She wanted to be alive when they found Carter, she wanted to watch Molly grow up in a safe, loving environment. No, she couldn't die. She just couldn't die!

Then there was a moment of blackness as a tingly sensation took over her body. She didn't even feel Jean grab her nose and chin to force her mouth open. It was as if Nicole was underwater, not here or there. She swore she heard a male voice muttering something, but she wasn't sure. She really had no thoughts to think, just wondering why she couldn't see anything or do anything.

The sound started to come back to her ears gradually as gravity caught up to her. She could hear her own breathing, and someone else's. She felt a warm hand on her neck and felt a warm presence sit by her. She was alive... She had lived through what ever hell she just underwent. She felt so exhausted, her lungs aching but she was breathing now. She realized she couldn't move though, her whole body heavy. And it felt moist, like she had been dosed with some kind of water, but it was odd. Whatever happened, she realized one person had just saved her life.

Tears formed under Nicole's tired eyelids and spilled out on her cheek. "
Thank... you..." she whispered, forcing her words out. She wanted to say more, she wanted to see the face of the one that saved her, but she couldn't. She felt a heaviness on her chest and throat, but it was just the exhaustion kicking in.

Molly was sitting there, crying silent tears as she kept her eyes peeled on the world around her. She needed to pay attention, she needed to keep Jean and her mother safe. It was a lot of responsibility for a little girl of four to do, but she could handle it. She remembered her mom telling her she was an old soul trapped in a beautiful little girl. She trusted Jean and had a feeling everything was going to be alright. She could sense the chaos behind her was dying down, but she didn't dare look behind her to see for herself. As Molly looked around, she spotted something on the roof.
Jean, she said in warning to the man's mind, keeping her eyes on them. I see someone on the roof...

A figure stood there, crouching down when they realized they had been spotted. Only their mouth could be seen in the shadows for the figure was wearing a hood that was in a shape of a cat head with ears poking up, and creepy yellow eyes on top of the hood glinted in the moon light. The edge of the hood had a look as if teeth were there and the face was in the mouth. Molly could see the figure smirk, and then swiped a finger across their throat. They then waved and began to slink back in the shadows.

She's going away, Molly communicated telepathically, clutching her teddy bear closer to her chest.

As Ryan buried his head into his hands, his mind was a blender with so many questions and thoughts. Did he just make a big mistake? Is this too soon? Did he know him well enough? Is there something as love at first sight? He didn't know. He just didn't know. It was nice, really nice. Is this wrong though? He just kissed a guy. This was a completely new concept for him. Is he taking advantage that he just got shot? So many questions and thoughts were running through his head. It all stopped when he heard Jex laugh and say two words, "You missed."

The problem was, he didn't know if he was ready for that or not. Kissing is a simple gesture, but actually kissing someone on the lips means something more meaningful. He wanted to, but just couldn't get himself out of covering his face. He made his feelings for him clear, but he didn't know what to do. He was stuck, and then he heard him sigh, which made his heart drop. Did he mess up and fail once again? He could feel the heat of his and Jex's cheeks warm the room around them. He knew how Jex felt now. He succeeded in knowing, but now he wasn't ready.

He held Jex's hand, and caressed it with his thumb. He still wasn't able to look at him directly.
"I...I...I just need some time," he murmured. It pained him to say that. He wanted to kiss him so badly, and he turned quickly towards Jex. Ryan put his hand over Jex's hair and caressed his face once again. He looked from his violet eyes to his lips again, but he couldn't do it. He laid his head on Jex's shoulder and put his arms around him. His chest at this point was burning in pain, but he didn't care. He gritted his teeth a little bit, breathed in and out slowly, and took the pain. After about a minute, he let go and for the third time looked at his lips and then, finally, he leaned forwards and kissed him on the lips. He closed his eyes and felt him being so close. He needed someone like Jex right now, and he wasn't going to let go. It felt it was the right moment, and if he didn't act at that point, he would lose him.

Jex felt chills run up his arm and down his spine when he felt Ryan caress his hand.

"I...I...I just need some time," he murmured

The teen felt a twinge in his heart, like someone pushed on his heart with a spoon to hurt just a bit. "
M-me too," Jex mutteredout, but he ended up taking Ryan's hand and squeezing it gently. Words were going opposite of actions. It was so memorizing yet terrifying at the same time. It was as if they were rebelling some kind of invisible force. When hands began to caress his hair, Jex breathed out quietly, moving his head into the touch. That was one of his weak points, and Ryan, who he just barely met, had found it. Anyone who touched or play with his hair would relax him and then knock him out eventually if they continued long enough. Maybe, just maybe this was suppose to be after all...

Jex opened his eyes in time to see gorgeous golden orbs staring back at him so intently. Ryan wanted this, maybe this was okay. Maybe... Ryan touched Jex's shoulder, the place where one of the many scars were on his body from the night he was seven. It didn't matter though. Jex was brought into a warm hug, and he leaned into it, being careful as possible of Ryan's injuries. He sighed out contently, and then inhaled. Ryan smelled like sweat and medical ointments, but that was okay. That all didn't matter. Jex nuzzled his head affectionately into Ryan's neck, hoping that he wouldn't tickle the boy before wrapping his arms around him to return the embrace. Moments passed of them staying like this. Jex could feel his heart and Ryan's heart pounding out of sync, but it was alright. Jex slowed his breathing, keeping himself calm. This felt nice...

Soon Jex felt Ryan move his head back and brought his head up, staring closely at the boy. He could feel Ryan's warm breath on his lips and blushed, but stayed close. Soon, the space was closed by the other teen, and Jex felt his heart explode like fireworks inside of him. He pressed into the kiss, forgetting about taking it slow. This felt right. This felt like the moment he had been waiting for a long time. He ran his fingers through Ryan's hair, kissing the boy longer until he ran out of breath and pulled away, panting as his cheeks flushed a dark red. "
Should we... take it slow...?" Jex asked breathlessly, staring into Ryan's eyes.
