She stood there watching him with her red eyes. He placed his hands on his hips and met her gaze. "Well then, honestly...I don't even know why your mama wants me to teach you." Momma Lu would not like him calling her Mama. She would be downright irate. Azrael shut his eyes and let out a chuckle. He crouched down and ruffled her hair. Cal lifted her small hands to the top of her head and smoothed out her hair. She glowers up at him. "You're a smart kid...don't let your mama make you feel otherwise okay?" he said softly with a smile.​

"Momma Lu makes sure we're real smart. She says we have to learn faster than we grow and I was real little before." She crossed her arms over her chest and glanced down the hall. Footsteps were coming from around the corner. Momma Lu's meeting must be over. "She'll be here soon. Momma Lu doesn't like wandering." Cal rocked on her heels and slipped down the side hallway, entering one of the big rooms. She stuck her head out the doorway when she realized Azrael didn't follow her. "If you don't wanna get caught, you should follow me. Momma Lu won't like seeing you down this way." Cal stepped away from the door and walked further into the room.​

DAY: 40 - 4/4 | DATE: October 31st, 2013 [Thursday] | LOCATION: Warehouse in ???, Russia

The warehouse they found themselves in was really old and very much rundown. If someone was hiding in this place, they must be in some really deep shit. He looked around in the dark and checked where he was stepping to make sure he didn't trip over something. There was rubble all over the place, and if he tripped, he might actually fall through the floor.

Eventually, they got to a room where something was standing in the center. It was some kind of figure, like a jester or something. He wasn't sure what the hell it was, although it was pretty off putting that something like that was just standing in the middle of a room in an abandoned, rundown warehouse. It seemed like this set up was pulled straight out of a horror film. Hana had called out to the figure in what he assumed was Russian. Afterwards, she spoke in a manner he could understand. ❝Is someone there?❞

After staring at her for a while, the figure twitched a bit before pointing it's bladed hand at her. Instinctively, he put himself between her and the jester-like figure. He took his weapon from his pocket and let it take its sword form. Whatever the thing was doing, he didn't like it one bit. Its movements were definitely odd. "Does that thing count as a 'someone'?"​

 

Upon Samuel's interference and sudden weapon being drawn, the figure begins to flail about it's body and twist it's body about. Tilting its head as it stared at Samuel it immediately lunged straight at him, raising it's bladed hand and swinging downwards.

The cute little glare she gave him when messing with her hair made him chuckle a bit at the fact that even the little kiddos raised by Lu actually liked keeping up their appearance. More and more he heard about Lu being a mother made him more curious about what her overall goal was. Surely she didn't take these kids in for the feeling of being a mother, just what use did these kids have?

The footsteps were heard, but Alistair really didn't react. Lu told him to do as he wished and it was quite clear he wasn't really one to follow Lu's rules. Cal informed him of her mother's appearance and Alistair realized maybe this little girl actually had potential. Sure she was incredibly afraid of disobeying her mother, but the fact that she wandered about when Lu hated it meant that the girl had the potential to grow and disobey her mother.

He chuckled at the thought of throwing a wrench in whatever Lu had planned, but Cal's voice caught him again and he looked over at the hiding girl. Despite having no need to go hide about, Alistair decided to follow the girl, thinking her little help was cute.

After Sam stepped in between the jester thing and Hana, it started to flail about and twitch like crazy before lunging at him. It brought its metal claws high up into the air before bringing it down on the unsuspecting man. He brought up his sword to block the attack. "Oh, this is gonna be good." With a forceful push, he shoved the claw aside and punched the figure in the face.​

 

The figure falls to the floor and it's body begins to flail about like a fish out of water. It flails and flails until as last it jumps to its feet and points its left hand at Samuel. Unlike the right hand the palm is made out of metal instead of flesh and a trigger rests on the middle of the palm. The figure's thump reaches towards the trigger.​

After his punch connected with it, the figure fell onto the ground, where it flailed about. It flailed until it eventually got back on its feet and pointed its left hand at Sam. The barrels that made the fingers stared him down as its thumb reached for the trigger in its palm. He dashed in, pushing the hand aside and pierced the figure with his sword. "You ain't gettin' a shot off that easy."​

Calamitosum pulls a cord in the center of the room and the lights flicker on. ​

Rows upon rows of weapons stand in displays and hang on the walls.​

Blood splatters about as the figure is stabbed, blood trickles down the mask of the figure, but the twitching figure stops. It raises it's hand but instead of stabbing the open Samuel it points it's bladed fingers at it's chest area. The blades are ready to pierce the chest but...

"Hold"

A calm and cold voice echoes around the tattered room. Upon hearing the words the figure's body freeze and a concealed doorway makes itself know. Walking out of the doorway was the silver haired man, standing with his eyes closed and a small smirk on his face​

DAY: 40 - 4/4 | DATE: October 31st, 2013 [Thursday] | LOCATION: Warehouse in ???, Russia

As the sword pierced through the figure, blood splattered all over. It trickled down its mask as the figure stopped twitching. Well, whatever the figure was, it was definitely mortal. Anything that bleeds can die, and the wound he inflicted seemed to show copious amounts of the thick red substance. However, before he realized it, the figure had its bladed hand pointed directly at his chest. It was about to go in for the kill.

"Hold"

A cold voice echoed through the room as a hidden doorway revealed itself. From the entrance, a slender silver-haired man walked in. He stood there, his eyes closed with a smirk on his face. Was this the guy they were here for? "Who the hell are you?"​

"You've come into my temporary residence and demand answers without even introducing yourself?" Regulus said calmly as he walked up to the bleeding figure and placed his hand on his chin. It's bladed finger was merely inches away from where it's heart was. "hmm..if I didn't stop him in time Sheer Heart Attack would have set off" Regulus muttered silently to himself as he turned and walked near the door.

With the mere action the figure itself backed away from Samuel's blade and took a step backwards as well and Regulus turned and faced the group as well. "My apologies for the sudden attack, my name is Regulus Astar" Regulus stated calmly as he placed his hand on his chin and stared over at the group. "well then...this place seems hardly suited for a conversation of sorts..come...why not come in for some tea and snacks..." Regulus stated before walking in giving no time for a reply. Past the door was a wondrous and quite large and comfy room one fitting that of a wealthy person. Walking into the kitchen, Regulus began to prepare some snacks and tea and once they were ready he placed them on a table and took a seat.

Like a child at a candy store, Alistair's eyes widened in glee as his eyes set gaze at the collection of weapons all about. "Well...I've found my new favorite room, nice work my dear" Alistair said walking over to a blade and tracing his hand over one of the swords.

He wondered how these weapons fared and if Arondite was either better or worse then these weapons. He didn't know much about Arondite excluding the name he recalled vaguely from his mind. He smiled softly before turning his attention back over to Cal.

"Say, I have a question, why are you helping me? I know your mama despises me, but in that case shouldn't you be trying to avoid me?" Alistair said. He wondered if they got caught what would happen next. He could always stand Lu's torture, but what about the little girl that decided to help him?

"Well...I've found my new favorite room, nice work my dear." ​

Cal liked this room. Everything was so sharp and pointing and shiny in the light. Momma Lu said they were only allowed to spend a couple hours in here at a time. They weren't big enough to be using the weapons unsupervised yet. She rounded a row of swords and stopped front of wall. There were a bunch of strange weapons on it that she hadn't learned all the names of yet. One though, she did recognize. Momma Lu carried it often. It was a real mean looking metal whip she used that usually sliced the monsters in half whenever they went outside. The Ninth Circle was crawling with lots of baddies, and it was really cold too! Mali had it so lucky with her trip to the surface.

"Say, I have a question," she turned around to face Azrael, "why are you helping me? I know your mama despises me, but in that case shouldn't you be trying to avoid me?" he asked.​

"You're our teacher," Cal said simply. She started fiddling with the ring on her finger and reached for one of the small daggers. "Momma Lu says --"​

"What does Momma Lu say?" Mist formed in the Weapons Room and from within it, Momma Lu stepped out.​

​

Cal gulped nervously and hid the knife behind her back. "Th-that spending too much time with Azrael will rot our minds," she repeated the words her adoptive mother had said to her before.​

"Cal, isn't it about time for you to be heading off to bed with the twins?" Momma Lu asked in her most stern voice.​

 

Sal stood around and watched as the scene between Samuel and the Mannequin unfolded. The fact that Samuel was that gung ho about beating shit up, that might cause a slight teamwork problem between him and everyone else. Oh well, that wasn't entirely relevant at the moment. What was, though, was the man who presented himself as the master of the mannequin. What an interesting person he seemed to be. Though he was entirely right, the gang was rather rude to not introduce themselves first. Regardless this Regulus person seemed oddly inviting of them.

The gang ended up walking into a kitchen sort of area and sat down. The man was offering snacks, but Sal was not ready to accept them just yet. While normally he'd eat just about anything, the hospitality of a man with a blade arm automated mannequin seemed rather weird to discern. He simply said, "thank you Regulus. My name is Salvatore, though Sal is fine, and me and my companions here have a certain topic we'd like to discuss with you. It's about all these strange things in the world going on and how you are different from the average person, ya know, other than the unique security system you own."

It had seemed that Cal's efforts were for naught as mama Lu finally made her appearance in the weapons room. Just how long did Lu know where they were? just how much did she know about what happened? he questioned what she was up to but merely set the thought a side now that she was inside the room. Alistair merely crossed his arms and leaned back a bit as he stared over at Lu "dawww how mean, whats wrong with spending a little time with me? somebody is cranky today..." Alistair said holding the tip of his hat "But then again your always cranky" Alistair said with a small chuckle.

With the way he had dealt with Lu he wasn't surprised that she was wary of him. From their past experiences he could tell she was quite the dullard and if anything the only thing she was good enough for was the act of torture. If they wanted somebody to think for them then it was obvious that Danel was the right choice for the matter. She only knew how to kill and soon enough these kids would surpass her not in power, but in brains. He could only hope her ego didn't cloud them

"Go," she demanded. The child took off running, dropping the knife on her way out.​

"Dawww how mean, what's wrong with spending a little time with me? Somebody is cranky today..." Alistair said holding the tip of his hat. "But then again you're always cranky," he said with a chuckle.​

​

Lu narrowed her gaze and her nails grew out into their long talon forms. She took a step forward and was standing directly in front of Alistair. She hooked her finger under his chin and pulled him in close. "Maybe I just wanted some alone time with you now. I'd start to get the wrong idea if you spent too much time with my children pet." Temeluchas dragged her nail under his chin. Crimson liquid dripped its way down her finger and she sucked the blood off her skin. It had been awhile.​

​

"What makes you think I'm cranky? I could very well be in a good mood right now." She wasn't. "Maybe I'm just hungry." She was. Lu had not been eating. She was too preoccupied to feed. There was a lot to do and little time to get it all done.​

​

A fine cup was in hand and with it Regulus took a sip of the piping hot beverage. He had been expecting some form of crude reply or somebody to have at least taken offence by his words for some odd reason, but to his delight it seemed he gained quite the dignified response. After taking his sip he closed his eyes and merely continued to listen to the boy named Sal speak.

"ah yes...I figured there were other with such...unique powers, but I did not they would walk up to my front door" Regulus said taking another sip. There were many strange things going on. There were natural disasters, zombie attacks and now these kids. They were merely young adults yet they did what a police squad could not do and found this building. Not only that, but they were able to fight off his little toy with what seemed to be a sword. His toy was something that surpassed human strength a bit...but in the end it fell quite easily. True there were still things that needed tuning but from what he witnessed on the cameras he knew that this group was special, and it was this very reason he stopped Sheer Heart Attack from detonating.

"Now then, shall we go into more detail about these special phenomenon?" Regulus said closing his eyes. Maybe it was time that he finally got answers. It was quite dull that he would be given these answers so easily, but there was nothing he could do about it. For all he knew this could be a mere stepping stone to something much more greater.

 

"Yes, yes, the thing that makes us special." Well this man seemed quite ready to learn about this situation they were in. He had wondered if the others were as willing to listen to this explanation as Regulus, and admittedly Sal himself were. "So we are all humans who possess a second soul within our bodies. That second soul belonging to that of a fallen angel. The angel then provides its "host" so to speak, with diluted versions of its own abilities and physically the "host's" body tends to be more able than that of a non-angel. Essentially our goal at the moment is to simply find the fallen angels who are scattered around the world and prepare ourselves to stop the oncoming apocalypse. I know it sounds crazy but there really is no easier way to explain it without sounding that way. Though I suppose what really matters is what your thoughts on this are. So care to share them?"

Alistair chuckled as he raised his hand up "Okay sorry sorry" Alistair said with a smile before crossing his arms "But come now when is it that you ever even want me around?" Alistair said looking down at the girl. She was as cranky as ever but maybe it was just because she was hungry...or maybe she hadn't been torturing anybody for a while so there was always that too.

"So tell me, what does this alone time entail?" Alistair said. He was sure as hell that alone time did not mean what most human believed it would be, but why would she need to be alone with him? was this some kind of lame joke? In any case he just awaited an answer from the girl. It could have been another task for him to do but all he could an prepared for whatever was to come next.

Every single word was quite fascinating to say the least and never in his wild dreams would he have ever thought about something like this. It was something he definitely had to but some thought into and soon enough he began to chuckle softly "Such an interesting tale.." Regulus said glancing up at Sal before placing his hand on his chin. Never would he have thought things were to turn so interesting in such a short time span.

"I assume you wish for me to travel alongside your merry group, hunting down the others like ourselves to prepare for this unknown apocalypse...but" Regulus said closing his eyes. They surely had something to find the other angels, which would explain how they found out about this place, but there was one unfortunate thing "Alas...I feel no desire nor intrigue to join you..." Regulus said. The whole concept of angels was interesting, but travelling along with these people and running around like heroes did not interest him enough.
