His golden eyes stayed locked on her blue one. Lu felt the wrap on her face slipping slightly, but did not bother to fix it. "Come now...ease my boredom...give me something to entertain me...killing is so dull...give me something more exciting...if it works for me, then what reason will I have to mess with your goals?"

She looked mildly amused. "Begging are we? Well, maybe if you beg a little more for me." Temeluchas bit her lip and heard a crashing sound in another room. She let out an exasperated sigh and stood up straight. "Nephilim children, far more of a handful than those pathetic human babes." She folded her hands together, the fingers intertwining with one another. "If you really want something to do that badly, you could always come back with me. I need ... help training the children." A smirk tugged at the corner of her lips. Alistair would make for wonderful help training them. "If that interests you by any chance."

Adam fell back from the sheer force of getting his by Remus' blade, and quickly moved thanks to the cloud-mist again, and while he was at a distance, he put his hand up to the cut on his leg and started to heal himself. Remus took the time to look for him, but Adam was behind one of the stone structures on the landscape.
"Where the hell did you go?"
Adam took a deep breath as he felt his leg was slightly more healed, and he could stand. He knew he didn't have the time to just sit there and heal it entirely, if he even could heal it entirely. Adam peaked his head from behind the rock, to see Remus going in the opposite direction, towards another rock.
Adam looked at Nahkosh. Can you turn into anything for long distance?
The sword hesitated, but transformed into a throwing axe, with the dragon's head shifting to the blade. Adam looked at it for a moment, and then positioned himself. He felt mist come off on his hand, and he decided to take advantage of that. He threw the axe and used the mist to help it keep the speed. He watched as it lodged itself into the back of Remus' head.
Adam grinned, but then heard laughter come from the other side, as Remus pulled the axe out of his head. It was still bleeding, but he took the axe and transformed in back into a sword, "You have thrown away your only defense, and gave me a vague idea of your location."
Adam quickly ran back behind the rock before Remus turned around. He tried to process what to do now, but the second he turned his head, Remus was right next to him, with the mist still fading off of him.
Adam didn't have time to react before he felt his leg cut off, and then his arm. He dropped to the ground screaming, and right as Remus was aiming to stab Adam in the back, Adam closed his eyes and woke himself up.
YOU WOKE UP. DID I TELL YOU TO WAKE UP?
Adam breathed heavily in his spot on the bed, quickly moving his arm and leg to know they were still there. He had no idea if he screamed in his sleep, but he was still recovering from the fear.
Adam quickly moved his hand towards Nahkosh on his neck, and then got himself out of bed. He put on his sweatshirt and shoes, he needed fresh air.
He opened up the door to head outside and saw a figure standing in front of him, with a hat blocking their face.
    "Can I help you?"
The figure looked up, and his eyes widened and he backed away from them.
"Go back to sleep, Adam. We aren't done yet."
    "Semya-"
"Don't talk out loud unless you want to look like Joslyn."
Adam swallowed and shook his head. I'm not going back to sleep, hell no.
"You can't escape a fight by simply waking up. That is cowardly. I'd rather you swallow defeat. I wanted to see what you'd do in your last moments. You need to be a man and face it."
    I'm not doing it.
Semyaza laughed for an extremely long time before they turned their head, their eyes glowing a bright gold, "You can't stay awake forever kiddo. Just like you can't escape reality forever."

"Ah well you see, we originally went there to find someone who I believe had wronged those two females. However instead, we were met with a dark angel known as Danel. He explained to us that the person we were seeking out was already dead and he proceeded to render us immobile. During such time he explained to us that an angel named Ariel was in grave danger and that he would pretty much be killed off soon if we didn't hurry up. After that was finished he let us go and left. It was quite the interesting experience really."

I see, so it was a revenge trip then. Well that was one reason why they didn't want more people to tag along with them. If it was just to go get another person, then more people could've gone with them. Still, this Danel person sounded like he was quite a threat if he could do something like that. "It does sound like quite the experience."

"So I guess I should ask you a question of the same nature. What was done here while we were gone in Rome?"

While he couldn't speak for everyone else, he didn't really do much while they were gone. "Well everyone sorta did there own thing."

Henrik raised an eyebrow when Brandon asked him that question. What did he and his wife do? Well at least it seemed like things weren't going as awkwardly as Henrik thought they would be. His eyes shifted over towards the university as it came in sight. It looked smaller than it did during his first visit. "Iris and I are professors of physics back at Norway." Soon the taxi came to a stop leaving the two to exit. Henrik lead the way towards one of the buildings before continuing with, "I met her when she was still a student. I was visiting the university she was studying at, gave a seminar, and afterwards she stuck around to interrogate me on all sorts of things." He smiled to himself. "She was pushy to be honest but until I met her I had no interest in starting a family of my own." Henrik decided not to go any further into the details of his personal life, thinking it would have been boring to Brandon anyways.

It was actually not so cold inside the building as compared to outside. The heaters seemed to be working just fine when they entered. Seeing as how Brandon asked what he and his wife did for a living it seemed only fair to ask what Brandon did for a living. If he did anything at all that was. "So, what about you? How do you put bread on the table?"

After some walking, Henrik came across an office. The same one Iris had called from. Of course the name on the door was spelled out in Cyrillic but at least Henrik could read it. He looked over at Brandon for a moment, unsure of whether or not to tell him to stay outside or follow him in. So instead of telling him anything, Henrik simply pushed the door open, immediately finding himself being pushed back as Iris ran into him and wrapped her arms around him. "Iris!"

"It's been a long time, Henrik." A woman's voice came from behind Iris. She was a brunette not much taller than Iris with cold eyes that were now fixed on the man. She was Kalia Alkaev, head of a department here in MIPT...and also an ex of Henrik's from before he met Iris. In a strange twist of fate, Kalia had met and befriended Iris during one of their trips to Russia.

Henrik looked down at Iris then back towards Kalia, giving a weak wave to the young woman. "Of all the friends we have here, you picked her." Henrik whispered towards Iris.

Iris pinched his shoulder. "I spent days in Hell. I think you can manage a few minutes here." She retorted before slowly pulling away from Henrik.

He had too much to say to Iris but now wasn't the right place to say those things considering the company the two had at the moment. "Thank you." Henrik muttered towards Kalia, hoping she wouldn't drag things out and just let the two(and poor Brandon who was a witness to the awkward situation) leave.

Of course, Kalia was too angry to just drop her questions and let them go. "Why was she out alone in the middle of this country with no money and no-"

"It's a long story that you wouldn't believe. Thanks for your hospitality but we have to get going."

"Who's your friend, Henrik?" Iris was the first to take notice of Brandon and thankfully, it kept Kalia from pursuing answers long enough for Henrik to change the subject.

"This is Brandon." Henrik paused and scratched the back of his head. "He tagged along because he had nothing better to do." It was partially true at least and Henrik couldn't spend time explaining the whole situation to Kalia. Iris knew what was going on but they couldn't start dragging everyone they knew into this mess.

Hana was surprised to see that Joslyn was up and out of the room before her. The girl had even left a note. This felt like a role reversal. Hana remembered the couple times she had ditched Joslyn in the hotel, with only a note to go off of. It was strange, but after what happened in Rome and later in Samuel's room ... Well, it had taken a lot more out of her than she anticipated. She wasn't even sure where it left things between Samuel and herself. All this human emotion was weird. Hana glanced over the note again, debating on what she wanted to do.

It would be good to talk to Jun Tae, but if Joslyn was with him, then it could wait until later. She folded up the note and deposited it into the trash before heading out of the room. Perhaps it would be good to talk things over with Samuel. She started down the hall in the direction of his room even though he was probably already out and about. If he was doing the same as everyone else, then he was probably getting a good training session in. As she walked towards his door, she noticed Adam lingering in the threshold of another hotel room. She came to a halt in front of him.

You okay over there? He looked a little on edge. Hana turned and took a step towards him, leaving a reasonable amount of space. You look a little out of it there.

    You okay over there?
Adam almost jumped at the sound of the voice, because he wasn't expecting it. But he instead quickly turned his head to see Hana standing there.
You look a little out of it there.
"Yeah Adam, you are looking a little out of it." Semyaza mocked Hana's tone of voice. Semyaza walked directly behind Hana and spoke, "Maybe you should go back to sleep."
Adam blinked and tried to avoid looking to the side of Hana, where Semyaza was standing. Instead he looked Hana directly and spoke, "Yeah, I'm alright. I just woke up."
Mm, I see. Right after she spoke, she turned around and continued, I know you're there Semyaza. Just because I can't see you doesn't mean I can't feel your exterior presence.
Adam's eyes widened a bit, as he looked over to Semyaza, "Well then?"
"Don't look so sure of yourself Adam, I knew she could sense me here. I'm not worried about Xathanael."
"Leave me alone." He realized his response was verbal, but he wasn't sure if Hana could hear Semyaza, so he quickly reassured her, "Not you."
You look like you have a lot more going on then just waking up.
"She calls it mental preparation. Who needs sleep when you can die instead."
You can't die in your dreams Adam.
Adam made a noise of question before he heard Semyaza, "Aw you didn't need to go and tell him that. Seeing him with the fear in his eyes every time the blade comes towards him..."
"Then how the hell was I still feeling pain?"
Semyaza froze in their pacing and looked towards Adam, "Ugh don't tell her that... then she'll know I've been..."
What do you mean you were still feeling pain?
"Why don't you just shut up now?"
Adam felt almost like a toddler tattling on a sibling, but he was afraid of what Semyaza was doing, and was willing to spill, "Mental training has included me getting my arm and leg cut off and various other injuries."
Semyaza quickly approached Adam, "I thought I told you to stop it."
    What other injuries?
"Sliced with a blade, nearly strangled to death-"
    "I SAID TO ST-"
"I got a leg injury similar to one I got before."
He remembered the ankle injury he received when training with Lu, and almost shuddered.
These injuries ... Are they affecting your physical body?
Adam thought about it, he always woke up completely healed, but who knew, "Not that I know of."
Semyaza made a face at Adam, as if he had crossed the line, and he watched as Semyaza walked away from him and went up to Hana and placed a hand on her shoulder. The second she did, Adam's head felt in incredible pain.

She honestly thought he was begging and whether he really was or not was up to anybody's opinion. He was just so horribly bored that Alistair was just willing to do what was needed to get the hell out of the boredom, even if it meant giving up a moments pleasure and stop teasing and pissing off the woman. She wanted him to "beg" some more, but at this point Julius was wondering just how long until he would break.

The sudden sound of something crashing occurred and Alistair's attention and Lu was quite exasperated from Alistair's point of view. Being a mother was surely tough for the woman and it was just amusing to see the woman have any form of love for these little kids. A smile formed on his face as she talked about the children and what came next was expected but unexpected at the same time.

"Me...babysit?" Alistair said as before he closed his eyes and began to laugh as he began to hold his temples. "oh man seeing you as a mama is still too funny to even get out of my mind, and now I'm gonna be watching over some kids?" Alistair said as he chuckled "Ahh...they are gonna eat me alive...but then again boredom compels me to accept this" Alistair said leaning back on his chair with a sigh.

"Everyone just sort of did their own thing." Well that was a rather...light response. Sure he wasn't expecting something big but you know, maybe a tad bit more detail as to what he actually did for the day. Oh well, he figured that based on his response the group didn't really do much together. Oh well, Sal continued to sit there not really sure as to what to say to this boy. The man beside him was still sleeping as well. Was he waiting for something or what? Furthermore was he nocturnal? Those questions didn't really seem like being answered at the moment so he decided to not think about them any further. Instead he turned his attention back to the boy he was talking to. "Well that sounds enjoyable to say the very least. Anyway it is getting late and I think I have to be on my way, so goodnight."
With that Sal got up and waved to the kid. As he was walking down the hallway he continued to think more on the angels and what being an angel actually entailed. In fact, he was quite curious about one key part. What were they supposed to do after everyone was recruited? Oh well, that wasn't something to be worrying about at the here and now he supposed. He eventually went to his room and fell asleep there.

Adam was struggling through their conversation, clearly at war with the angel in his head. All Hana could do was wait and be patient with him. She felt something on her shoulder. There was no one there, but the presence surged through her body at the brushing of her shoulder like electricity through her veins. A sound echoed in her mind. I kindly ask you to mind your own business as to how I train this weakling. Adam clutched his head and looked to where Hana presumed Semyaza was standing.
What the hell are you doing over there?

Hana ignored his outburst and spoke to the Infamous Rebellion directly. I kindly ask you to bear in mind that if you exert him too much in the Otherworld, he will be too exhausted to help in this one. She didn't take a liking to Semyaza telling her what to do.

It's too bad he's lazy in this one then. It's too bad he has to keep so much in his head. Semyaza's voice was a familiar whisper through her mind. Oh how it had been ages since the last time Xathanael had heard it. Adam staggered back into his room and sat down on the bed, still clutching his head. He left the door open wide and Hana watched him from the threshold as she conversed with his counterpart.

Perhaps you're not doing something right. she told her. It was plausible, after all.

Me? Possibly... but he was fine until Harbonah meddled with him. He was such a different person. But I've said too much already, take care Xathanael. I don't want the boy to die of exhaustion.

Adam lifted his head and looked in her direction. What the hell did you j- He was cut off. A moment passed before he rose to his feet and approached her. What did Semyaza just do?

Hana decided to go with the most direct way of explaining it to him. The easier the explanation, the less likely she was to have to repeat it. Communicated with me, without having to possess you. The angels can manifest themselves like apparitions to their hosts, and through physical contact they can communicate with other angels without having to possess the mortal they occupy.

"Me...babysit?" Alistair said as before he closed his eyes and began to laugh as he began to hold his temples.

"I didn't say I wanted you to babysit." she snapped.

"Oh man, seeing you as a mama is still too funny to even get out of my mind, and now I'm gonna be watching over some kids?" Alistair said as he chuckled, "Ahh...they are gonna eat me alive...but then again boredom compels me to accept this."

I really hope they do, she thought. Lu smiled darkly at him and held out a hand to pull him from the couch. "Children!" There was a scuffling sound as they made their way back into the living room. "Well then pet, I look forward to working with you." The Nephilim stood close close to her and she wrapped her arms around the twins' shoulders. Cal weaseled her way in front of Temeluchas. "Looks like everyone is here." Mist swirled at their feet and a black void opened beneath them. Her blue eye bore into Alistair's gold ones and she groaned. "Are you coming or what? I don't feel like waiting."

He always seemed to take too long. Alistair was forever testing her patience. When he joined them, the blackness swallowed them whole and they left his Irish home.

Adam's headache had disappeared faster then he expected, he wasn't quite sure what caused it, "...what did they say?"
Not to question her teaching methods.
    Sounds about right.
Adam sighed as he whispered under his breath, "...and you call her "her" and she doesn't freak out..."
Semyaza prefers the form of a female, does she not?
    Currently
Adam held up his fingers and air quoted, "Currently."
Well so do I. Do you call me 'they'?
Adam raised an eyebrow and looked her over for a moment, "Wait. I thought you were human. Or are you referring to the angel?"
I am the angel, Adam. I thought you knew this. There is no human soul in this body.
"No. I didn't know this. Why would I know this?"
    I mentioned it once, briefly.

Adam took a moment before he continued, "Look, other than history lessons, I know next to nothing about anything going on."
    That is a lie.
"But no, I don't call you 'it' or 'they', I refer to you as 'she' or 'her."
Hana eyed him skeptically, I find it hard to believe that all the time you spent with the Dark Angels, they only told you history lessons. After all, they were training you.
Adam sighed and crossed his arms, "It's because I never asked anything... I obediently went along with everything..."
That sounds odd for a host of Semyaza. Normally the humans take on the traits of their angels.
"Normally. But I am a sucker for the girls I like." Adam looked away from Hana sadly and sat back down on the bed, then continued, "For some reason they all had to die around the same time..."
Hana took a seat beside him and rested her hand on his shoulder, Ya' know, I do feel bad about Harbonah dying. The idea of any angel being gone forever is a hard one to conceive. Every time one of us dies for good, it's like the world gets a little bit darker, even if they weren't good anymore..
Adam closed his eyes and spoke, "Sorry to hear about that one on your side... well..." he looked back over to Hana, - "I actually... saw everything that happened there..."
And yet you were attempting to sway everyone over to the side of the Dark Angels?
"I told you I'm afraid of dying."
Did you stop to consider that maybe the others are afraid of dying as well, and that's why they are fighting to stay alive?
Adam stopped for a moment to think it over, "No. I didn't. Because from what I have seen, everyone here has jumped in voluntarily from their everyday lives to fight a cause some of them haven't seen yet. If I was in school, and going about everything normally, and you all came up to me and asked me, I would have said no. But I had to watch people I knew and loved drop dead in front of me... afraid that it could happen to me too... I'm not thinking towards the future... I'm thinking of the immediate... I wish I never had to..."

Hana couldn't help but take a bit of offense to what Adam said. He really didn't know anything and yet he spoke as if he knew everything. While some of them jumped in haphazardly -- to which I am amazed by -- others experienced first hand the chaos that ensues from the Dark Angels before they really had the possibility to think it over, like yourself. Ariel whisked Hay Sun from France and dumped her in front of me in Mexico. Cassandra, the one you witnessed die, watched as a plane crashed down near her home and had been visited and harrassed by Danel before we ever even met her. Henrik was attacked by Temeluchas. Samuel was released from prison by Danel under the orders that he was to dispose of me and abduct Joslyn. Need I go on?

Adam looked defeated. No, you don't. I'm sorry, I assumed too much. Sounds like Lu and Danel have been busy though.

I hope your time with us has helped you realize where your loyalties should lie. And if it hasn't ... I pray that changes very soon. I've had enough 'rats' in our God Squad, as Hay Sun puts it. She referred to Sam, although she didn't like thinking about him like that, but it was true.

You've had 'rat' problems? asked Adam.

... Why does that surprise me?" she countered, Were you listening at all when I mentioned Samuel?

Oh... yeah, I was... it was more towards the end. My bad. Adam chuckled lightly.

Hana patted him on the knee. If Semyaza starts to inflict damage to your physical body through the Otherworld, please let me know. She stood up to leave the room.

He shook his head. I will... don't worry...

All right. Well, even though you claim to have just woken up, you look like you could use some rest. Take it easy, she told him. Hana started to walk out of the room.

W-wait Hana? he called out to her.

Yes Adam? she asked while turning back to him.

Thank you, for jumping in... if you ever need anything, let me know.

A smile played on her lips. Will do. Glad I could help. Hana walked out of the room.

She headed out to eat for a bit by herself. It felt weird to be on her own at this point in time. Hana was becoming so used to being around other people that time spent alone was foreign. She didn't feel like The Hidden One anymore. Part of her identity had slipped away. She needed some time for self discovery or some dumb thing like that. When she returned, Hana decided to turn in early, going to bed before Joslyn had even returned.

Brandon sat there in the taxi listening to what Heinry and Eris did for a living. Physics professors huh? While it might not seem like it, Brandon was actually interested in physics. It was all full of cool science stuff to explain the universe and junk. Not to mention with the advent of his lightning powers, and how physics did explain electricity and its properties and stuff, he had found a fondness to it even more. Though while Brandon was only curious about his occupation, Heinry continued to go on about he and Eris met each other. It was quite the nice story and Brandon could tell that he really did care a great deal for his wife. Though after he told the story of how they met he posed a question to Brandon. "So, what about you? How do you put bread on the table?"

Brandon did...absolutely nothing for a living. "Well I don't actually have a job or anything like that. My mom basically provided for us both. The closest thing to an occupation I can think of is me playing tennis, but that doesn't actually pay any money." They had done some walking through the building and it felt a good deal warmer in here then it did outside. As such Brandon let up on his electric jacket and continued walking until the both of them stopped at an office door. Brandon had literally no idea what the door said, but Heinry seemed to as he burst through the doors and yelled for his wife. The two of them then proceeded to have a reunion that touched his heart and they met up with some other woman. And boy did she seem mad at Heinry for having Eris just living out on her own here in Russia with nothing at all.

After berating Heinry with questions he simply told her that it was a story that he didn't seem believable and then his wife actually took notice of Brandon. When she asked who he was Brandon simply gave a wave as Heinry explained that he was here simply because he didn't have anything better to do. This was false. There were many things Brandon could be doing at the moment. He could be with the main group shooting lightning bolts at people for training purposes. "Well I'm more here because people were getting impatient and left with me volunteering to keep track of him. And good thing I did, because boy did he leave in a hurry, like a man on a mission. There wasn't anything keeping him from finding his wife at that point." Brandon said this all gleefully, though failed to take into account that context was kind of important.

As he watch the man leave, Logan soon to his leave and returned to his room. Well he certainly learned some new and interesting things just from talking with him. What he really wanted to know was more about Danel. It was pretty clear that he was against them in their goal. All the more reason to know more so that there wouldn't be any surprises.
With all these thoughts in mind, he went ahead and showered before climbing into the provided bed. Not too long afterwards he son drifted to sleep.

From what Lu had to say, Alistair was right, he was going to be the play toy to these little children before him. Pain was sure to be waiting for the aristocrat, but he was more than ready for it all...it was going to be quite fun...maybe he should go by the name of Julius Menon for some reason...another time maybe. There was nothing more to say and Lu seemed quite impatient as always, but after being so nice for such a long while, Alistair felt he earned enough leisure time and just took his time to get to the woman. Before he knew it he was off to hell and soon enough he went to sleep after being given the right sleeping quarters.

Ooc: Short post because bed time

Brandon had ended up listening to all that had to be said and ended up staying at wherever the fuck it was that they went to bed at for the night. Brandon was pretty happy with the way things had turned out and would probably inform the rest of the group tomorrow what had actually happened. For now though, he had to get going to good old fashion sleepy time.

"Like a man on a mission?" Iris repeated before nodding to herself. "That sounds like him."

"What's going on here?" Kalia questioned impatiently.

"Enough. Just stop with the questions. If you want I can explain it all to you later but not now." Henrik growled lowly. "Not now, Kalia. Just let us sleep and I'll be out of your hair by the morning."

Kalia blinked at Henrik as her expression softened, her head tilting down slightly towards the ground. "...Fine. There are some dorms not far from here. You know the way, Henrik." Kalia turned slowly towards her desk and picked up two keys that were resting there. The message had been passed along to her that they would be needing a place to stay so she already had something ready for the trio.

"Thank you." Henrik took the keys, handing one over towards Brandon for a room of his own before glancing at the room number embedded on the key Henrik still held onto. His eyes flicked up towards Kalia for a brief moment before returning to the number on the key. He took in a deep breath and stared at the key for a moment longer before leaving the office without another word.

Once at their, pathetically small room, Henrik and Iris talked about what had happened since they last saw each other. Because, you know, she got abducted. Then they fell asleep.

After Hana left, Adam with through a partial moral dilemma that didn't last too long. He shut the door, found himself ways to occupy his time, then when it was around nighttime, Adam ate food and then turned on the television. He wasn't tired, and he sure as hell did not want to be. Him reimagining the pain only made him flinch.
I know you are curious, so here. You have been feeling pain because I have been inflicting pain on your body while you sleep, and then healing it as soon as I can. I have found that you tend to respond best to pain, based on your reaction to Lu's training. But... it isn't really an approved method. Which is why I wanted you to shut your mouth in front of Xathanael.
I'll go back to sleep if you promise not to use the pain method without my permission.
I'm not that desperate. When you fall asleep the fight will continue where it left off, I am not changing my mind.
    Then I guess I won't sleep then.
I'll see you in a couple of hours.
Adam turned the channel to an English station and kept himself distracted from Semyaza, yet awake, for the rest of the night.

    Joslyn Taylor Jones

DAY: 36 - 4/4 | DATE: October 27th, 2013 [Sunday] | LOCATION: Abandoned Apartment Building ==> Hotel in Venice, Italy

Leo had put her through a rigorous training session during which she had passed out a minimum of three times. During the training, she wondered if she really could keep up with it. The way Leo was going at it, she started to think she would fall apart. It was apparent he had no intention of going easy with training. Why he was so intent on training her, she had no idea. All she knew was that he was going to be training her.

After training, when she caught her breath, they both made their way back to the hotel. This time around, Joslyn walked on her own two feet instead of being piggy-backed by Leo. Whether or not it was because of yesterday, her legs were less sore than before, albeit slightly. At the hotel, before parting ways, Joslyn made sure to give back his jacket.

She opened the door to her shared hotel room and found Hana asleep on the bed. This was a first for her, coming back to see her already asleep.

    "Aww, Xath is already asleep..."

    "Who?"

"The one on the bed. Umm... you call her Hana."

"Oh, I see..." She fell on her bed to let her feet rest.

"I'm not really sure about the details, but I do know that she's been with me for a long, long time."

    "Really?"

"Yeah. These two can attest to that, can't you?"

    "It's truuuuuuuuueeeeeeee~"

"Yeah, as insufferable as she's been, Xath has been there for as long as I care to remember."

"Wow..." She lay there, thinking about how long that would be. It must've been a long time, that's for sure.

"Yeah, she's been so good to me." After laying on the bed for a few minutes, she got up and went to the bathroom to take a hot bath. She took off all of her sweaty clothes and tossed them aside. At this rate, she would run out of clothes she could wear.

After getting out of the bath and drying off, she made her way back to her bed. The worn out girl lay down on the bed as she finished drying off her hair with a towel. She looked over to Hana's sleeping figure on the opposite bed.

"Hmm, she's so pretty in that body."

"She really is..." Tiredness laced her voice as she spoke.

"Sounds like you should go to sleep, honey~"

    "Ok then, good night~"

    "You two-"

"I got it, I got it. Good night."

    "Good night, JoJoooooooo~"

"Please... don't call me that..." After saying good night, she quickly fell asleep.

He had spent most of the day cooped up in his hotel room, fiddling around with whatever he had gotten from their little shopping trip. The Rubik's Cube wasn't the only thing he bought to keep him busy. Although, he wasn't using them much because the Cube was occupying his attention. He still hadn't solved it, though at the very least, two sides of it were solved. Figuring that would be the best he could do, he left it alone in the bag.

Sam lay in his bed, thinking about that kiss. It felt so good, definitely better than punching the lights out of low-life scum in prison. He wasn't sure where that kiss put them relationship-wise, but he was certain that he'd like to do that again. And maybe stuff beyond that. Hah... As if she'd go for that... With those thoughts in his head, he drifted off to sleep.

    DAY 37

Sal had re-opened his eyes to be met with quite the different scenery. He was no longer sitting in the hotel bed sleeping a peaceful sleep. Instead he was in a place he had only been once before. It was a place that had a large boundless blue sky, sparsely populated with white clouds, gently moving around. There he stood on the crystal clear endless ocean, ripples outstretching from his feet. The only other being to be seen in such a vast and clear world was none other than that same dainty figure that had been here the first time he was here. She was sitting down, ripples outstretching from where she was sitting, and softly smiled at him. "So, you called me here for something?"

"Ah yes. I brought you here to better yourself as a fallen angel." He raised an eyebrow to this and she began to explain to him. "You see despite the fact that as a collective unit these fallen angels most likely work terribly together, as of right now I can see that on an individual level they are quite potent. As such, you too need to gain some form of individual talent. That is why you are here now. Do you understand my purpose?"

Sal shrugged both of his shoulders and looked back at the angelic figure. "Yes, yes. I suppose I do. So now, what should we be doing?"

Zachariel said nothing to this. Instead she simply disappeared in the blink of an eye. Afterwards the sky started to turn a crimson color and the clouds, a black color. As Sal just stood there he noticed something about the place where Zachariel was sitting. There was a black wisp coming out from it. He stared it for longer as it started to climb higher and higher until it was about the same height as Sal. Once it had reached that height it stopped growing taller and started to stretch out. Once it had stopped it looked as if it was a body made entirely of black smoke, with nothing more than two arms and two legs. Once the body had completely formed where the "head" was, two piercing red orbs formed, something he could equivocate to eyes. While this shadowy figure had no definable features, Sal could still tell that the thing looked ready to fight. Believing this was Zachariel's doing, Sal figured he'd rather just comply right now and as such, got ready for what this thing was going to do.

Round one got underway but calling it a fight would be giving Sal far too much credit. Round one should better be known as a complete and utter smack down on behalf of the shadowy creature. The thing started to charge Sal and so Sal...didn't actually know how to react to this thing. He was actually pretty green when it came to any form of fighting and while he had seen much action in differing forms of media, trying to execute in real life had always proven to be next to impossible. So all Sal really did was brace himself for the attack and got slammed into by the full force of the thing. Despite being made of some sort of shadowy smoke thing, it felt like he was getting hit by a wall of bricks. He felt the wind get knocked out of him and was launched across the water like ground he was standing on. Skipping across it like he was some sort of stone being tossed across a pond, he felt his arm take quite the beating. After that had stopped he picked himself pack up only to see the thing continue to charge him.

With having no time to react at all the creature let out a feral roar as it uppercut Sal in the chin. If it wasn't for the fact that he still felt it, he would've been sure that the blow shattered his jaw. When Sal fell back down to the creatures level it punched him in the gut once more and making him cough out some blood before it sent him sailing through the air once more. As he started flying the creature continued its relentless assault and grabbed his leg before he even landed. It flailed him, smashing his body into the water ground and tossing him back into the air. When Sal had come back down the shadow creature grabbed his head and started applying pressure.

Sal could start to feel his skull cave in from the sheer force of the things hand and tried desperately to break free from it, but his body had basically stopped responding at this point. He was positive that he was going to die, and there was going to be nothing he could do to stop it. Just as he felt the end coming the shadowy figures arm was severed from its body and it retreated away from Sal. Sal had dropped to the ground and lie there, bleeding and unable to do anything.
Sal continued to lie there until he felt some heavenly power wash across him. What made it heavenly? Who really cares. He felt feeling return to him and was to move once more. Feeling completely re-energized he stood up and examined himself. Apparently he was entirely fixed up. Well that was convenient. He figured it was Zachariel's doing, but wasn't really sure whether to thank her for it or not. Oh well, the shadow creature's arm had reformed and it snapped its attention back to Sal. It then started charging in for a second round.

Sal realizing that trying to just brace himself for the fight would probably end the exact same way as before, started to pay attention to what the creature was doing. Acting like some feral beast it was only actually charging him, so Sal did the only thing he could think of to counter it. He quickly jumped out of the way when he figured the correct time was going to be and avoided some of the charge. The creature still knocked into hum and still sent him flinging back, but at least he wasn't helpless this time.

However the creature was clearly not done with him. The shadow creature started charging Sal once more and he decided to side step it again. This time the creature stretched out its arm and grabbed him while he was in mid air, and pulled him in closer. Well this was bad. Having not dodged at all the Portuguese man did the only thing he really could in this situation, which was use his free arm to punch the shadow in the face. It reeled back from the hit, but was not deterred. In fact it responded by breaking the arm it was holding. Sal let out a scream of pain and the creature continued to beat him down until Sal could feel that most of his bones had become like pellets, scattered throughout his body. The creature was about to deliver a finishing curb stomp when it just stopped and walked away.
Sal felt his body be repaired once more and stood up, coughing out some blood as he did so. It took him a good minute to get himself fully stable before he was ready for a third round. He looked at the creature, who was now staring at him. The two of them were going to be at this for awhile, Sal could tell. In fact he probably wasn't leaving this dream world until he had beaten the thing. And based on how things were going so far, it wasn't going to be an easy task.

The creature began its charge at Sal, as per the usual, and Sal got ready to dodge. This time he noticed the creature was getting ready to stretch out the same arm it had before to catch Sal's dodge. So what Sal did to counteract this was shift his weight to that very side, which the beast responded to by preemptively stretching out its arm to grab him. With that Sal then jumped the other direction avoiding the beasts attempts to stop him. This time Sal successfully dodged most of the charge. It still hit him, but was more of a glancing blow this time. However, this time Sal still had his balance and as such went in for a counter attack.

Going for a straight right at the beasts face he hit it square on and caused it to stumble a bit. However it wasn't just going to be beat by the that. Using its closer arm, it swept in Sal's direction and was carrying enough force to break his skull in two. Sal, however, had been able to react in time and ducked under the beast's swing, which then followed up by uppercutting it in probably its jaw. Hard to tell what the anatomy of a complete shadow creature was. After it got uppercut, it jumped upwards. While that was happening it tucked in both of its legs close and kicked Sal right in the rib cage. Sal felt the wind get knocked out of him and was sent flying back, shattered rib bones now piercing through his lungs and heart. He felt that same feeling of oncoming death when the creature merely stopped its advances and stared up blankly.
Sal felt his rib cage reforming and his heart and lungs start to regenerate. Really this whole healing process felt quite uncomfortable. Furthermore it meant that he still had to fight this thing. He figured Zachariel had a purpose behind him fighting this thing over and over again in a never ending brawl, but didn't exactly enjoy the straight up brawl situation. Though his angel wanted to strengthen him, most likely, and Sal had to comply with it. With that in mind, it was time to go down into round four.

The beast seemed like it had the ability to adapt to each time Sal managed to harm it. This time it did its usual charge, but got ready to catch him from either side. Sal figured that in order for him to dodge this, going side to side would not be viable. Instead, he started shifting to one side that made the beast preemptively bring out that arm. Then he shifted to the other side which caused the beast to bring out both of its arms. With them both out Sal simply jumped backwards, away from the beast to avoid it. The beast had been expecting a side dodge and as such slowed down to more easily catch him. However because of that, Sal had been able to avoid the charge. With the beast momentarily confused and slower than usual, Sal took the opportunity to kick it in the chest. It reeled a bit from the attack, which Sal continued to beat down on it by hitting it in the face three more times.

The beast, while it did seem was being pushed around by the force of his attacks, it did not seem like they had any real effect on it. Instead after Sal had delivered two more punches to the things head, it grabbed his fist and...crushed it. Sal immediately let out a wail of pain, while the creature didn't actually feel like stopping its counter attack. As such it started to punch Sal in the diaphragm, making it nearly impossible for Sal to breathe. After a couple of punches had been delivered, Sal collapsed to the ground, while meekly trying to raise his fist against beast. It simply responded by crushing his other hand. With no power to really fight back, Sal lied on the ground limply, unable to fight back. The beast did not continue to break his bones, but simply walked away from the broken man.
Sal felt his hands start to reform in an extremely painful shifting manner. This angel had an odd way of helping him out. Sure he had been getting better with each passing fight, but that was simply because he was readjusting himself to match the beast's fighting style, not because he was actually getting stronger. Not to mention getting continuously beat down and healed was rather unfortunate, because Sal enjoyed not being snapped in half all the time. As reluctant as he was becoming to this "training" Sal pressed onward. It was true that he was the weakest amongst the other people, and he truly did need to fix that problem. As such he collected himself and stood up, ready to take on the beast.

The beast predictably charged at him and Sal figured he already knew the beast wasn't going to make the same mistake it had made these past few rounds. It was going to grab at both sides and not slow down at all. So what is a man to do. Of course the only thing he could do at this point. With the beast charging him, Sal calmly stood there waiting for the beast to get close enough. When it did, he reacted accordingly and punched it in the might be jaw. The beast was not expecting a frontal assault and as such was knocked completely off balance by the attack. This caused it to be knocked off its feet yet still go forward due to its momentum. The momentum ended up causing it fall flat on its back and land on the surface of the water ground hard. Despite having the upper hand in this case, Sal was not going to blindly rush in there to take the thing on while it was down. Seeing as it had enough strength to break his bones easily at any given moment, it was not the wise decision to just charge in against it.

The creature began to pick itself back up and let out a roar towards Sal, clearly not happy with what had just happened to it. It charged Sal again and while that punch had worked before the thing had constantly been correcting its behavior to counter everything he did. As such Sal was at a loss of what to actually do and could only brace himself for the oncoming attack. The attack however, completely ignored his bracing. The creature stopped in front of Sal mid charge, and punched straight at him. With the punch connecting it sent Sal flying backward across the water ground. The punch felt stronger than all the other ones before hand, and Sal couldn't really do much to keep himself upright. After he had been able to collect himself on the ground he noticed that the beast was still charging him and was ready to completely and utterly kill him. Sal kicked at the thing while he was still on the ground, but the beast merely caught his foot, spun it like it was some sort of wind up toy, and completely destroyed his leg. With that out of the way, the beast curb stomped his chest in until Sal felt the familiar feeling of his rib cage breaking in. With that the beast marched itself away as it usually would, waiting for the next fight.

Sal woke up from that experience extremely tired and fatigued. He was sure that he was going to continue onward with the fighting until he was the victor but apparently that observation had been wrong. "Well of course I couldn't have you fight until you were the victor. The strength gap between you two is too great at the moment and going any farther would exhaust your body far too much." Wonderful. Oh well, he merely hoisted himself out of bed and decided to go down to eat something for breakfast.
The trip down was not an easy one. Sure he had taken the elevator instead of just walking down the stairs, but the short walk from his room to said elevator was pretty tiring. Training in your sleep sure did a number on the bodies stamina, that's for sure. By the time he made it to the actual breakfast area he was dead tired. To compensate this he ate a breakfast that an entire village couldn't match that amount. When he felt satisfied, though not full, he simply walked out into the lobby to see the blue haired man still sleeping in the chair. Did he even move at all last night? Regardless Sal took a seat and contemplated falling asleep, he still felt extremely fatigued after all, but nevertheless he kept awake and waited for everyone else to arrive.
