As soon as Tyson got up he went into the bathroom and splashed some cool water on his face to wake himself up. After that he fixed himself something quick for breakfast and took a quick shower. When he got dressed he turned on the news for a minute. There wasn't much new about the crash. Tyson still had a good while until he needed to be into work so he decided to practice a little more with his powers. He set up the same beer can and tried to move it. Finally the can moved a couple inches, but a siring pain spread through his head and blood began to pour from his nose. "Son a whore! Damn it!" Tyson yelled out in pain.
After his pain subsided he went on out to work. When he got outside covered his eyes from the sun, even though it was early in the morning and it wasn't that bright out. He felt for lack of a better word weird, like his skin was about to jump off him and run back inside. He got into his car. He pressed down on his Hellboy bobble head and started the car up and went on to work.
While on the way he turned on the radio. Of course the only thing on was more plane crash coverage. "Like I can't keep it off my mind anyways." Tyson said as he turned the stations hoping to find some music. "Come on, I'd take some dumb pop music." But after a few minutes he gave up and turned the radio off.

Hana woke up in pain. Her back was stiff, her neck ached, and her hand was throbbing. Blue eyes rested on the spiderweb cracking in the side of the tub and the bloody knuckles on her hand. Just great. She tried to flex the muscles in her hand to no avail. Something was probably broken. Her hand wouldn't go flat without serious pain shooting through it and a whimper slipped out of her mouth. Her lips mashed together so fiercely they turned white and with her good hand, she pulled herself to her feet.

Her laptop rested on the bathroom floor. With the side of her foot, she nudged it lightly under the sink -- in no mood to deal with it right now. The bathroom door was cracked open and the light in there flooded the room. Her eyes took a minute to adjust to the dimmer lighting, but then she could see that Hay Sun had already left the room. Beside Cassandra's sleeping figure the bed looked a mess. The headboard had scratches and there was some down poking out of the duvet. Just great. As if the incidental charge wasn't going to be high enough on the room the way it was with the tub. She would probably end up paying more on incidentals than the room alone. She clicked her tongue to the roof of her mouth in annoyance.

She wanted to change out of the filthy clothes from yesterday, but there hadn't been any clothes in her backpack. That was all in the cargo hold of the plane. They would need to go shopping today -- all of them. That might actually be a little nice after the night/day they had. She sighed and quickly rinsed the blood off her hand in the sink before leaving the room.

Hana made her way down to breakfast. Her head was pounding and she could use a large cup of dark black coffee to help clear her mind. Hopefully it would also help take her thoughts off the pain that was radiating in her hand, not to mention how jacked up it looked. She should really do something about that... Hana stopped at the coffee station and rather difficultly poured herself of cup of coffee with one hand. When she turned around, she saw Hay Sun was already down there. Well at least it wasn't difficult to find her. She sighed and took a sigh up of the drink, burning the roof of her mouth and probably all of her taste buds as she did so. She managed to balance a chocolate chip scone on the lid of the cup without spilling, and took a seat across the table from the other girl.

She gave Hay Sun a weary smile and set her breakfast down on the surface. Do I dare ask how you're managing? It seemed risky. Hana wasn't clear on how Hay Sun was feeling about Ariel, and saying the wrong thing might set her off. She had been so emotional prior to him being taken away that she didn't know if the continuation of her crying was just because of the plane, or because of what happened after. However, she could tell that he had clearly been breaking the conditions of his agreement for quite some time [ if not since the beginning ].

    FREEZE.
Danel stood in the dark hotel room. There were three sleeping figures, but only one of them he needed. The other two could remain the way they were for now. Shadows danced around the room, the only light coming from a crack between the curtains. He leaned over Samuel's sleeping figure, brown hair falling into his eyes. Danel pushed it aside and stretched his arm out, yanking Samuel upright. "Get up." he said authoritatively. Danel wasn't as bulky as Samuel, but he had no problem wrenching the other guy out of bed. The other two sleeping figures did not move or make any sound, as expected. They were still frozen.
He debated on whether or not to take Samuel from here to talk, or just get it over with now. Probably the former. Danel snapped his fingers and a plume of smoke rose up. When it was gone, they were outside. Morning light shone brightly in London. He had to squeeze his eyes shut for a minute to readjust them to the sudden change in lighting. An annoyed look rested on his face as he slipped his hands into his back pocket and leaned against a railing on the street.
"So, you better have some good explanation."

Hay Sun heard the distinctive footsteps before she saw them. Over the weeks, she had come to learn the sound of everyone's footsteps in case there was a stranger approaching. Luckily for the person, they were Red, and Hay Sun could find the patience to tolerate her.

She took a sip of her hot coffee, not bothering to meet Red's gaze as she moved around, and then decided to share the table. The other girl didn't look that great either, but there was no comment on it as she continued to stare down into her drink, finding little solace from her tired reflection.

Do I dare ask how you're managing?

The question made Hay Sun's eyes flash white, and she put a tighter grip on the mug.

You're implying the question anyway.❞ she hummed in reply, remaining relatively calm. She wanted to ask Red a lot of stuff, but none of it seemed like stuff she could answer. ❝Ariel, right? His name. Your . . . buddies. They took him. Where? Why? What did he do wrong?❞ It seemed like she was saying these things before she could stop himself.

What kind of angels are we, anyway? Aren't we supposed to help people, or something? Save them? What did he do that was so wrong?

    KRCK.

Hay Sun looked at the spilled liquid from the broken, ceramic mug. It was burning her hands, but for a long moment she didn't move. The pain made her feel better, somehow. Fortunately, the table was a wooden surface and wasn't covered with a cloth. She picked up the pieces of the cup and then wiped away the liquid, setting the mess aside.

. . . I'm obviously upset about this, Red.❞ Hay Sun told explained. ❝Who were those people, anyway?❞ She wanted to remember their names for when she hunted them down at snapped their necks.

Two figures stood at the edge off a cliff, face one another. With weapons drawn, they look into each others eyes. The sun was setting, coloring the sky a mix of red and orange. The light of the red sun glints off of their weapons, swords stained by blood. Both figures were bloodied and wounded, signs of their impending limit. Their breath was slow and heavy as they assumed their stances. Each knew that the next blow would decide the winner.

Both had focused their minds, preparing themselves for a strike that may or may not come. It was uncertain who would stand victorious until the clash took place. And so, their minds singled each other out. Everything else seemed to fade from existence. Everything except for the person standing opposite to them. Time seemed to pass by slowly. Seconds became minutes, minutes became hours. The wait seemed excruciating.

Suddenly, they charged towards one another, letting out a savage war cry as they did. When they got within striking distance of each other, time slowed even further. Their arms inched towards each other ever so slowly as they swung their blades. After what seemed like a century had passed, the expected impact came. Time moved at its regular pace as they staggered beyond one another. They stood there, backs turned to each other, wondering what happened.

After some time passed, one of them collapsed to the floor. There he lay, a bloody mess and barely hanging on to the slowly breaking thread called life. Everything became dark to him, The cold filling his body. However, on his face, there was something that was unexpected: A smile. Even though he was dying, there was a smile on his face. With nothing left to him, he uttered his final words to his opponent. "Thank... you..."

Suddenly, Sam was pulled into awareness by someone tugging at him. When he opened his eyes, Chicken Wings was standing right in front of him. He had his hand on his shirt and was holding him upright. "Get up." His voice was demanding. It was obvious there was a problem here, Maybe it was because he hadn't held up his end of the bargain yet.

The other guy snapped his fingers and a plume of smoke rose up. When it disappeared, they were outside of the hotel. Sam had to squint his eyes to adjust to the sudden change in lighting, After letting him go, Chicken Wings slid his hands into his pockets and leaned against a railing. He wore an annoyed expression on his face."So, you better have some good explanation."

Sam dusted off his shirt, "Well, it's called sleeping, and human beings need their sleep so they can function during the day." His voice was filled with a smug tone. "Well, I know that's not why you're here now, but still. Needed to break the tension somehow, you know?" He shrugged his arms and shook his head, chuckling as he did so.

You're implying the question anyway. Hay Sun hummed in reply.

True. Hana sighed and looked across the table at the other girl with sad blue eyes. She didn't understand. Hay Sun was clearly upset, and she probably didn't even know why.

Ariel, right? His name. Your . . . buddies. They took him. Where? Why? What did he do wrong? Hay Sun seemed filled with questions. It was understandable. Hana nodded along slowly as she nibbled at her scone. She wasn't really hungry, but it was necessary to eat. What kind of angels are we, anyway? Aren't we supposed to help people, or something? Save them? What did he do that was so wrong? The smile on her face was sad as she watched the angel sort through her emotions. Hay Sun really didn't know how to feel, did she? KRCK.

Her blue eyes were wide as the coffee mug shattered. Dark liquid spilled out everywhere and Hana frowned. She hopped to her feet and quickly gathered up some napkins to clean the mess. It wouldn't stain -- hopefully -- but she still felt guilty about it. There was no way she could just let the breakfast person be in charge of cleaning up such a mess. Hana patted the napkins over the coffee, watching as the towels absorbed the liquid.

. . . I'm obviously upset about this, Red. Hay Sun explained. Who were those people, anyway?

Hana sighed. So many questions. Right. Start at the beginning. It would probably be easiest. She stopped patting at the table after a minute and threw the napkins away. When she returned to her seat, her expression shifted from soft to serious. The people you saw, they were ... well, the woman was Gabriel. Even you must have heard about her before -- the Archangel. You're an Archangel as well. The other three were members of the guard. They just patrol Paradise. They don't really do much unless one of us has broken a rule. Even in heaven there are rules to follow, just as there are here. Unfortunately, our rules are much stricter than the humans. They extend past the Seven Deadly Sins and the Ten Commandments. They took Ariel back, probably for Judgement. She took a sip of the bitter coffee. It helped calm her nerves. Hana had been dreading this talk since the moment Hay Sun arrived in Mexico.

We are supposed to help people, but we also are not supposed to meddle. It's confusing. There are times when it is appropriate and times when it is not. Basically, we only come to Mid-World and involve ourselves with mortals when we are commanded to by Father. Any other time is strictly prohibited. Occasionally they will look the other way if your visit does nothing to hinder the flow of the mortal world, liking going on a field trip of sorts. A rogue angel here or there will go to visit a local human hot spot. Anyway, she sighed, Ariel -- Leon, as you know him -- is forbid from being here, from seeing you. She emphasized that last bit to get the point across.

Hana shook her head, red hair shifting back and forth. I was there after you were cast out Uriel. It wasn't until later that I willing left so that I could protect Azazel. He was going to leave and give up everything so that he could follow you. Where Uriel goes, I go. You never seemed to be able to stand him and yet he was always wanting to be by your side. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to guilt you into feeling bad for him or anything. The decisions the both of you made were completely your own. He watched you for a long time, remaining glamoured so that you couldn't see him. A few times you seemed to have caught onto his ruse. So did the others. He was given a choice. Fraternizing with the Fallen was more forbidden then than it is now. He could walk away from Paradise and become mortal like the rest of us, turning his back on Father and never being able to regain the ability to access heaven, or remain there. If he joined us, his memories would fade in time like the rest of you. He didn't want to forget you. At least if he remained in Paradise he could still watch over you, just not as closely. He was to have no interaction with you of any sort. Ariel felt like he was betraying you by staying behind -- that you would never forgive him for being so selfish.

She finished the coffee and tossed the Styrofoam cup, along with the half of her scone, in the trash before continuing. He's involved himself with you quite a bit recently, hasn't he? They no doubt figured it out. Gabriel said something to him about having been warned before they all left. It's likely he's receiving the punishment they warned him of centuries ago. If that's the case, he'll be here somewhere, but he won't remember who he is or what we are. I might be able to find him with this, she tapped the compass at her throat, but I have no idea where he'll end up. It could take too long to find him. We don't have a lot of time to begin with.

Danel rolled his eyes. "Is that supposed to be funny?" He was really lacking a sense of humor these days. Since Lu appointed herself as lead on the recruiting, he had very little to do these days. There were others he could seek out, but they weren't as crucial as the ones that had already been contacted. He felt tired. Danel rubbed the bridge of his nose, between his eyes.
"Why haven't you held up your end of the deal yet? Xathanael has already gathered too many members. If you take any longer, then you're going to be responsible for killing the rest of them as well. Unless, that's something that might actually enjoy doing? I noticed you've slowly been gaining powers once more. You could easily take out ever last one of them, but that's not the point." He narrowed his brown eyes on Samuel. "We had an agreement."

Morning had arrived and the sunshine that had been absent for quite the long while had finally arrived and welcomed Alistair. With a yawn Alistair rose and stretched with a sigh as he arose from his bed with a smile. "Well now this is quite interesting" Alistair said he silently walked from his bed over towards the window in order to observe the outdoors. After getting so used to used to the rainy weather, Alistair was a bit disappointed to see it end. The question was just what caused the rain...was it because of the plane crash the other day?

After a shower and getting dressed, Alistair headed down and soon enough made some tea for himself before sitting down and placing on his television to see just what was going on in the world. The migraine that had assaulted him earlier was something that had now passed and it merely felt like having the horrid feeling of a hangover now coming to an end. As Alistair placed on the television he watched on and witnessed just what was the latest news going on. The news about the airplane crash in New York was certainly the main issue going on and about and many people were now starting to get a bit terrified about even entering the plane. Sure people began to speak about this, but another bit of news caught his attention. The news began to speak of 4 men who were found out in the streets who were found brutally murdered and gutted. The report went on about how the police were out searching for this man and how people should be wary.

"Interesting..." Alistair said narrowing his eyes with a small smile as he watched on. Seeing something like this on the news always made life quite interesting and added a little spice to it, making this far more...enjoyable.

"We had an agreement" It was true, they did have an agreement. But they never agreed on the manner of how it would happen, nor did he give any specifics on anything about it, In fact, the only thing he said was to kill Red and kidnap the white haired one. That is the only thing they had certainly agreed on.

"Well then, maybe you should've been more specific in what you asked for." Sam started to get really up in his face. "Maybe if you said to kill her as soon as you meet her, or maybe within a few days of meeting her, she'd be dead by now. But no, you just told me to kill her and kidnap the other one." Sam was saying everything that was coming to his mind. Truth be told, Chicken Wings pissed him off a little bit. Just looking at him made Sam angrier. "And besides, I'm the one doing the job, so I'm the one who decides how to carry it out." He grabbed him by the shirt. getting caught up in the moment. Sam was chuckling as he held him close.

He closed his eyes and took deep breath before letting him go. "Well... As for the others, I'll kill 'em if I feel like it." Sam turned his back on Chicken Wings, trying to calm himself down. For whatever reason, his emotions were really getting to him. "It might be fun, might not." He was inspecting his nails, almost mockingly. "I can't guarantee I'll kill 'em, though, since that wasn't part of the original agreement."

As soon as he finished talking, Samuel seemed to step into action against him. It was to be as expected. Samuel was just as hotheaded as his angel counterpart. He sighed. "Well then, maybe you should've been more specific in what you asked for." Samuel started to get really up in his face. He shouldn't have had to be more specific. For being so appreciative over the fact that he was out of jail, he should have been jumping at the opportunity to do something he excelled in such as killing one girl. "Maybe if you said to kill her as soon as you meet her, or maybe within a few days of meeting her, she'd be dead by now. But no, you just told me to kill her and kidnap the other one." He just kept ranting. Danel listened impatiently. "And besides, I'm the one doing the job, so I'm the one who decides how to carry it out." He grabbed him by the shirt. Sam was chuckling as he held him close. He sounded like he coming to a close on his speech. It was about time. Samuel closed his eyes and took deep breath before letting him go. "Well... As for the others, I'll kill 'em if I feel like it." Samuel turned his back on him. "It might be fun, might not." He was inspecting his nails, almost mockingly. "I can't guarantee I'll kill 'em, though, since that wasn't part of the original agreement."

Danel huffed out in exasperation and sent blast of black smoke towards him, slamming Samuel into the wall. "Are you done now? I don't give a flying fuck what you do with the others. I was just letting you know it was an option, should your blood lust flare up. And instead of bitching about how you're doing all the work, remember that it was me who let you out of jail. You could still be rotting in that prison, living out your life sentence and getting in fights every thirty seconds of the day. If you want you can go back. I can put you in there as easily as I took you out. If you can't get your job done, then I'll send you back. And if you so desperately need a ' set date ' you have four days. Think you can handle that?" He looked at Samuel like he was stupid -- he probably was. If he needed to further explain himself, he just might kill the man right here and now.

"Fine. Four days to kill Red and kidnap the other one. I gotcha." Despite the fact that he was slammed against the wall, he was laughing. The pain that shot through him when he hit the wall made him feel alive. It was a rush to feel that kind of pain. Even in jail, he hadn't been slammed into anything by anyone. It was usually him doing the slamming. But now, he was slammed up against a wall, and it felt good. "Though I gotta say, this just got a little more exciting."

Sam remained silent for a little bit after making his last quip. "Alright, I'll kill her in four days. But I'm gonna make this last. I'm gonna squeeze every last bit of enjoyment I can get out of this. So expect something to happen in four days, and not before then." A smug look crept across his face. "Oh, and by the way, I intend to pay you back for slamming me into this wall. so you can look forward to that too, Chicken Wings." As he laughed at him, he raised up his hand and stuck out his middle finger. He couldn't wait for that to happen, to put this smug bastard in his place. Maybe he would rip off his wings and make giant fried chicken wings. Or maybe he would cut him up limb from limb. The possibilities of what he could do to him started to excite him more.

Red had a lot to say on the subject, and even though Hay Sun wasn't feeling patient this morning, she had listened to all of it intently, taking in all the details she could. According to the tale, she and Pretty Boy had a long history together. He was like a puppy.

When Hay Sun heard that he would be up for Judgment, the Judgment, she forced herself to stay in the chair and not do anything drastic, aside from gripping the sides of her chair and creating imprints of her hand in it. Fraternizing with the Fallen, her ass — but it wasn't a wonder that she — err, Uriel had been cast out of Heaven; according to him, he didn't much want to be there in the first place, and so leaving wasn't much of a punishment. Judging souls and being an Archangel was tiring business, apparently.

Just as soon as Red was done telling the story, Hay Sun was out of the chair, storming away with a chilly wind following her. She walked through the hotel, all plant life seeming to wilt in her path. Eventually, she had made her way to an empty courtyard and walked until she was far away enough from the doors. This was bullshit.

GABRIEL!❞ she shouted, ❝I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME, GABRIEL.❞ Ahhh, what was she doing? Too late to stop now. ❝I WANT TO TALK TO HIM, AND I WANT YOU HERE TO LISTEN. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO MESS AROUND.

She couldn't let it happen. With Red bringing up her — . . . Uriel's being cast out, she remembered it so well. It had been painful, and terrifying, but she faced it with full force and little regret. Ariel wasn't like her, though. She couldn't let him be cast out. He was such a baby, such a little defenseless puppy. There was only one option left; she would have to make him quit writing his own fate, and then she would become powerful enough . . . Strong enough.

    HURRY UP, NOW.

It seemed like there was a storm building.

"Fine. Four days to kill Red and kidnap the other one. I gotcha." Good. So he wouldn't have to repeat it again. Samuel was laughing for whatever reason. Whatever -- not like Danel really cared. Let him laugh. "Though I gotta say, this just got a little more exciting." All right then.

Danel just kind of stared at Samuel with his dark brown eyes. "That's cool," he commented lightly. There was an air of arrogance about him and he was pretty much done standing here listening to Samuel.
Samuel had remained silent for a bit after that. Danel was just about to leave when the other man spoke up again. Real mature.
Tch. "Whatever. As long as the job gets done, I could care less." There was a boom of thunder in the clear blue sky. That was odd. Danel's eyes flicked up at the sky and even though all seemed harmless, he could tell that something was very much wrong. "Well," he started, shoving his hands into his back pockets, "I think it's time for me to go. Something bad is about to happen, and it's not from us." He gave Samuel a nod before letting himself become engulfed in smoke and disappear.

There was a long pause before Hay Sun finally just got up and out of her seat. This couldn't be good. Hana scrambled to her feet and chased after her. Where was she going? What was she doing? When the other girl finally stopped walking, they were standing in an empty courtyard away from any nearby doors. She gulped nervously. Her heart seemed to hammer in her chest in anticipation. What did Hay Sun expect to accomplish out here? Did she just want to get up and take a breather? Unlikely. The wait didn't last long.

GABRIEL! Hay Sun shouted, I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME, GABRIEL. I WANT TO TALK TO HIM, AND I WANT YOU HERE TO LISTEN. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO MESS AROUND.

Oh sweet mercy! May heaven have mercy on their souls! Hay Sun, what are you doing? she seethed. You don't piss off Gabriel or make demands because you're angry.

    HURRY UP, NOW.

Oh Father forgive her! Hana felt like she was going to be sick. Her knees gave out beneath her and she collapsed onto a nearby bench. There was a boom of thunder and her blue eyes automatically flew to the sky. It was still a clear light blue with the occasional fluff of white cloud here and there. It was no natural thunderclap. Her head felt like it was spinning. Please don't let them come. Please don't let them come! Her hands were clasped together and she began to pray for forgiveness.

A rustling of leaves caught her attention. Her blue eyes snapped open in time to see a small whirlwind of the things fly around and then settle delicately on the ground. Where the leaves once floated, now stood two figures. Hana bit her lip and rushed to Hay Sun's side. Her legs trembled the whole way there, but she had to be near the vengeful Archangel in case something happened. In front of them, standing tall and proud, was Gabriel. She looked as radiant as ever with her flowing long brown hair, sharp emerald green eyes, and angled features. Beside her, in shackles and wingless, stood Ariel with his head hanging low. The platinum manacles hung from his wrists and ankles, connected in the front. His bare back was bloody where wings had once been and his golden - ivory hair seemed to have lost its luster.

Uriel, Gabriel greeted. It's unfortunate we have to meet under such a circumstance, but there is nothing you can do for him. Ariel's sentence is already beginning. Of course they were too late. The Guard waited on no one. His Judgement would have begun the moment they returned to Paradise. This was bad. Sunlight reflected in Hana's eyes and she had to shield her face. Hanging from Ariel's throat was a necklace. It was the one he had been wearing when he saved them. It must have been important for it to not be taken. It also seemed to be the source of the glare that wouldn't leave her face.

Hay Sun, Hana whispered the girl's name beside her. Ariel lifted his slowly and her breathing hitched. His expression looked so full of shame. There were marks on his lips -- a silencing spell -- and his lips parted into a small smile at the sight of the girl in front of him.

    BOOM!

A thunderous clap woke Dante and he shot up in bed. His breathing was shallow and quick for a little bit before calming back down.

What the hell was that? It sounded close...

His attention fell back to the room. It had a vulgar, evil air to it.

What is this madness? Where is Samuel? I bet this is his fault. His lips curled into a snarl. I knew that we couldn't trust him.

Icicles formed on his back that resembled spiky wings and frost cloaked his hands.

He's up to no good. I know for sure.

Salgiel threw off his sheets and ran out the door in the clothes he was wearing the day before, his eyes glowing brightly. Hana and Hay Sun could be seen out in the hotel lawn not too far off. He didn't notice the other angels in his anger.

"I told you he was bad news! Why didn't you listen to me!"

He started down the stairs to get to them. The grass was nice and soft, yet it didn't soothe his anger.

"Whatever. As long as the job gets done, I could care less." There was a boom of thunder in the clear blue sky. That was odd. Chicken Wings looked up to the skies. "Well," he started as he shoved his hands back into his pockets, "I think it's time for me to go. Something bad is about to happen, and it's not from us." He gave a quick nod to Sam before being engulfed by black smoke and disappearing.

Whatever. After Red, you're next on the list. Sam tilted his head from side to side, a popping noise sounding each time he did. He was curious, though. The thundercloud came out of nowhere, so something must've caused it. If Chicken Wings said it wasn't from him, then it makes sense that it would be from those other angels that showed up yesterday.

He walked around and eventually came upon the courtyard where Hay Sun and Little Red were standing. However, he decided to keep his distance when he saw two other figures with them. One of them was the woman who had ordered two others to take someone away, and the other was the guy that got dragged away. Something about him was different though. It's as though something was taken away from him. Upon closer inspection, Sam noticed that his wings were gone. Well then, it looks like someone got his wings clipped.

Sam wanted to get closer, but since they were angels who could've been watching when Chicken Wings got him out of jail, he didn't want to risk getting outed. He decided to play it safe and keep his distance. Maybe he'd get closer after the angel chick left. Though watching from his little spot would be good enough.

"Looks like that's everything." Henrik smiled faintly at Iris now that they had wrapped up their preparations for the next day, taking a seat at the couch before Iris took her place at his side. He reached his hand out towards the remote at the far end of the table in front of them.

"Wouldn't that be an abuse of power?"

"Can a tool be abused?" The remote did not budge on Henrik's mental command. He frowned and tried once more. Once again, nothing happened. With the thoughts of the day to come his concentration kept slipping. He grew frustrated causing black mist to form around his hand as he tried yet again. This time the remote rocketed off the table and soared past him almost smacking him right in the face. The remote crashed into the wall behind the two causing the battery casing to come loose leaving the batteries to fly out. Luckily that was the worst that happened. "Well...not bad for my first time moving something that size." The mist faded as quickly as it had appeared. The pain that came to his head was not as bad as it was when he had first begun practicing.

"Don't scare me like that again." Iris scolded.

Henrik nodded as he knelt down to pick up the batteries and lid for the remote, sticking things back in their place as soon as he had all the pieces. Anger and even frustration made his powers stronger but under the stress of such emotions it made fine control of his ability nearly impossible. At least, that's what he could tell. Though it might have been an obvious observation it gave him a few things to think about. Things he could use to his advantage. 'Vengeance. That's what I do. Is anger really associated to that though? Getting angry makes me stronger...would feeling vengeful enhance that?' That only brought up more questions. What exactly was feeling vengeful? Henrik knew that he wanted to get back at Temeluchas after everything that had happened but was that really enough? Could there be some more righteous "angelic" perspective that would allow his powers to grow faster? He wasn't sure if he should abandon emotions entirely when it came to dealing with his powers.

    "Henrik?"

    "Hm?"

    "You're spacing out."

"Oh. Sorry. You wanted to watch something, right?" Iris shook her head in response to his question. "Oh right, I did, didn't I?" Iris nodded at him. "...Um...remind me what I wanted to watch."

As soon as Tyson got to work he went to his computer. He would easily be able to get some more in depth info on the recent crash. He looked through the crew log, and passengers, just hoping to maybe see what would this plane be of interest to Temeluchas and her people. The plane crash was still too fresh, the wreckage was still being sorted and not even all the bodies were accounted for.
The wreckage didn't hit anything of strategic value, and the people were just people. No one of importance, just a bunch of regular Joes. 'Why go to all this trouble to crash this plane? Their must of been some former angels on that plane. I can't tell by name, but maybe if I had some pictures....' Tyson thought to himself. "Yo Ty." James called out. "What are you doing here so early?" James asked as he leaned against Tyson's desk. "Just getting some work done. You ready to go out?" Tyson replied. "Yeah sure."

    WEARING DAY 17 3/4 WRITING
    LOCATION Library Munchin, Deutschland

Filigrees of rainbow light kissed the golden skin of the effervescent beauty. Her head found its perfectly fitted spot between my shoulder and collar bone. Her long blond hair was feather light against my body, tickling in places where it found bare skin. Her smile, radiant as ever, shone like the golden gates of Heaven. Dark blue eyes as deep as the sea were sharp and penetrating. She never missed a beat. There was a crack between those supple ruby lips - firm, but soft as a pillow fresh out of the dryer - as she opened her mouth to speak. Her golden cheeks had just a hint of flush to them, bringing color to her otherwise pale face. She was like a doll, picture perfect in all the right places. What could someone such as me have done to deserve someone like

He nodded. His light brown eyes flicked back to the words in his notebook. Even with the library being rather empty these days, he never seemed to find time to write. It was like Frau Mienster was trying to keep him from ever achieving his goal. The batty old woman should be proud that he uses his free time there to do something product with the world of literature rather than sit on Facebook and Like status updates. He sighed. Frau Mienster dropped the stack of heavy tomes onto his desk and a loud thunk echoed through the space. Dust, that had been collecting in the crevices of his mahogany desk, seemed to choose that moment to fly up and scatter about. He coughed and sneezed until it began to settle.

Frau Mienster was a stocky old woman with silver – blond hair ( from the streaks that were beginning to grey ) and beady black eyes. They were probably brown at one point in time, but her features were so wrinkled and sunk in that they only ever seemed to be as black as the pupils within those thinly slit irises. Her cheekbones were puffy and there pox scars scattered about her face. Her wrinkled arms were as brittle as parchment -- she smelled a bit like it too -- and speckled with freckles. The light grey -- maybe it was blue at one time? – dress she wore had a creme lace trim around the hemming. It made her look like and overgrown tablecloth to be completely honest. Her attitude towards Kai always made him a bit peevish. She never seemed to take him seriously as a writer. Something about not being able to express himself probably through words. Please. He expressed himself plenty.

Kai rose from his seat and scooped the leather – bound books up with one arm. He slipped both his phone and his iTouch into his back pocket and flipped his notebook shut closed. He wasn’t a fan of those text – to – speech devices, so most of the time he just typed something up quickly in response on his phone. Texting was easier in his opinion. If the person was expecting a longer response, then he used the iTouch for a larger display screen ( the recipient wouldn’t have to do so much scrolling that way ).

The circulation desk was unfortunately on the other side of the library. He would have to pass through the nonfiction section to get there. The library was a well – used relic. Most of its features were original – flooring, shelves, interior walls, light fixtures, ceiling tiles – with just modern updates strewn about. It was filled with rows upon rows of hundred – something year old books bound in their original leather backing. There were also much smaller and more up – to –date books in their cardboard covers. He enjoyed submersing himself in the classics. If he wasn’t working or writng, then he was on the floor in the classic English literature section with a pile of books at his ankles. He was a fast reader. It seemed like he could fly through a stack of books in just a couple of hours. Knowledge is power.

He laughed silently to himself. The books were heavy and tired out his arm, but he wouldn’t dare put them down until he reached the circulation desk. Anneliese was working today. He enjoyed seeing Anneliese, not that she would ever give him the time of day. She found him as a charming good friend. Good friend -- story of his life. No one ever wanted to be with the kid that didn’t talk. He sighed. Oh well.

Once he passed through the fifth row of nonfiction books, the circulation desk came clear into view. Anneliese brushed her blond hair off her bare shoulder and glanced up at him. She smiled and waved. Ah, new ideas for his story. He smiled back and set the books down on her desk. They made a heavy thud as he had been more graceful about it than Frau Mienster. Her beautiful face suddenly contorted into a scowl. Diese sind nicht alle für mich sind sie?

Kai nodded reluctantly and shoved his now empty hands into his front pockets. He gave her a shrug. Anneliese pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose and inspected them more thoroughly. Ah, das sind die, die Frau Mienster will mich zum Katalog. He nodded again in reply and pulled out his phone, typing quickly.

Ja, sagte sie, sie Ihnen zu sofort.

Anneliese read the message after he turned the phone for her. She nodded and began to open up the first volume. It smelled of parchment and lacquer, a clear sign of an attempt at preservation. Kai erased the message and began to type again.

    Anneliese, würden Sie wollen _ _ _

She glanced back up at him in confusion. Warum sind Sie noch da? Gibt es noch etwas, sie wollte?

He shook his head and dropped his phone back into his pocket, not bothering to finish the message. Kai bowed his head to her to show he was leaving, but her face was already stuffed into the book, making notes here and there on a sheet of scratch paper. He turned his back to her and stalked off in the direction of his desk. There were books waiting to be shelved, and they couldn’t shelve themselves.

Although it hadn't taken very long at all, that was still too long for Hay Sun in her . . . odd state of Uriel-being. Xathanael had followed her, but it was of little consequence, as she was probably asking their wretched Father for forgiveness to be bestowed upon her. She did not need his forgiveness — especially since he had a say so in her being cast out of Paradise.

As expected, two figures appeared and she recognized one immediately as Gabriel. She had once had a fondness for Gabriel, and they had been great companions at one time, but during the conflict of when she was cast, they had become bitter acquaintances, their friendship once lost. Beside her . . .

His wings are gone, Uriel! Of course they were gone — Judgment waited for no one, did it not? A surge of anger circulated through her body and she wanted nothing more than to see Gabriel's head roll. Were it not for Xathanael praying obnoxiously hard, she might have, too. To have turned Ariel into something less than the obnoxiously beautiful being that he was . . . He didn't deserve it. He was not her.

Uriel, It's unfortunate we have to meet under such a circumstance, but there is nothing you can do for him. Ariel's sentence is already beginning.

Her pale eyes roamed over Ariel's destroyed body, and eventually trailed to his lips as he lifted his head. A silencing spell . . . She remembered the cruel experience well, herself.

Gabriel,❞ she began, ❝As you must well know, I am the last person to spare pity, but this is far ridiculous — even for the Counsel. I know full-well the rules of fraternizing with the Fallen; I even helped write the rules. However, I, here and now, ask that you spare Ariel of Judgment. He is fit to be nothing but a member of Heaven. Father would be displeased with this treatment, as he usually is.

Of course, it wasn't like he was around to be displeased. This gave all of them what Hay Sun constantly referred to as daddy issues, which she didn't quiet understand. She glanced at the necklace and almost smiled; he would fight tooth and nail to keep that around his neck, wouldn't he? Fool.

You would know how much it meant to me, Gabriel, if you spared this ridiculous boy.❞ she said more calmly, ❝And if the moment should ever arise . . . I would smite him myself for his blasphemous actions against the board.❞ She was being genuine, and Gabriel should know that. It was a troublesome situation, especially as the Fallen Archangel she was, but Gabriel had always been one of Father's favorites ( It wasn't as if she had much of an issue with that ), and if anyone could pull off the sparing of Judgment, it was she.

She made her way over to Gabriel's side, trying not to make eye-contact with Ariel, and then leaned into the other to whisper, ❝Please, Gabriel.

A sudden feeling of weakness swept through her, and she knew she couldn't pull out much longer in this body, but she forced herself to wait for her brethren's reply.

Gabriel stood tall and proud, as she always did. No matter the circumstance, she always appeared strong and confident. Even now, as another of her brethren was being ripped from Paradise, she looked like the picture perfect Archangel. There really was nothing she could do. Ariel's sentencing had been swift. He had been consistently breaking the terms of his conditions and there was more than enough evidence to hold him accountable for it. There really was nothing anyone could do. He didn't even try to fight it. Ariel took his sentencing easily. He looked broken, but not angry in the least bit. Well, he wasn't one to be known as hotheaded.

Gabriel,❞ she looked up in time to see Uriel begin her protest, ❝As you must well know, I am the last person to spare pity, but this is far ridiculous — even for the Counsel. I know full-well the rules of fraternizing with the Fallen; I even helped write the rules. However, I, here and now, ask that you spare Ariel of Judgment. He is fit to be nothing but a member of Heaven. Father would be displeased with this treatment, as he usually is.

Yes, yes. That was all very factual. She could not deny it, but there was simply nothing more that could be done. It doesn't matter how much Uriel protests on Ariel's behalf. What's done is done. There's no reversing Judgement. It there was, don't any of them believe she would have done so a long time ago? Gabriel didn't want them all torn apart, some living in Mid - World while the others were in Paradise. It wasn't fair. [ Life isn't fair. ] She just wants for them to be happy. Unfortunately, they were cast out and there is no true happiness for those that have fallen. This now includes Ariel as well. Green eyes darkened with guilt. Oh Uriel -- the Counsel is made up of many. She is only one voice -- one powerful, voice -- and is thoroughly out ruled by Michael. She had done what she could for Ariel before he was sentenced. She could only help him before. So many times did she warn him and now look. He would be no help to Uriel in this state.

You would know how much it meant to me, Gabriel, if you spared this ridiculous boy.❞ she said more calmly, ❝And if the moment should ever arise . . . I would smite him myself for his blasphemous actions against the board.

She shook her head disdainfully. A sidelong glance to Ariel told her that he wanted to say something, however, his silencing spell would not allow it. Gabriel pursed her lips and brushed her long brown hair out of her face with her fingers. There was just nothing. He would be condemned to walk about the mortal world with no recollection of his past. He would be what the humans called an amnesiac. While most every other fallen angel retained their memory for years, his would be wiped clean. It was too dangerous for him to have this sort of knowledge now. Plus, it wouldn't be a punishment. He would remember Uriel and know of her whereabouts. He would be able to rush to her side, not walk the Earth as a wanderer for centuries.

Uriel approached her in the small for of Hay Sun White. The fellow Archangel hoisted herself up high enough to whisper into Gabriel's ear and her green eyes widened with a bit of shock. ❝Please, Gabriel.❞ Such sincerity was usually found lost on Uriel. Perhaps it was the human whom she shared a body with that made her so humble?

Gabriel set her hands on Hay Sun's shoulders and put distance between the two of them. She shook her head again and looked up, almost to tears. The morning sunlight made her eyes sparkle and there was a very sad smile on her face. "I truly wish there was more I could do. I warned him countless times. Counsel decisions are decided upon by Michael, not me. I cannot go against his word, just as I cannot go against the word of Our Father. He has given onto us more than we could ever thank him for, and he can just as easily take it away. Ariel was supposed to keep from meddling in your affairs if he wished to remain in Paradise. The possibilities of the land being tainted with the Morning Star's new threats is no small matter. Every time Ariel has come in contact with you, he risks putting the rest of us in danger, along with causing harm to the souls that have passed on and are resting. Is that really what you want?"

She shook her head once more and clapped her hands together. The silencing spell on his lips vanished. "This visit wasn't wholeheartedly about paying you a visit. I was just coming to make a delivery. I am the Messenger Archangel. I have to drop Ariel off at his new home." There was no lighthearted humor like the days of old. Gabriel's tone had been consoling yet unfriendly. She understood the circumstances, but did not feel the pain.
