With the last of the Bonding runes marked on both of their bodies,
Joslyn collapses to the black marble floor.
Her body starts to glow and the form shifts from the white - haired
albino to a petite brunette with large white wings.
Lucifer helps her to her feet and presents his newly eternity bound partner
to the crowd of angels present in the Throne Room.

A beam of light shoots up into the sky before the rest of the church and abbey crumbles to the ground.
There's a loud explosion and a blast sends every person, angel, and demon flying.
The demons are wiped out and everyone else is knocked unconscious.

It all happened so suddenly, so fast. A blinding light had shot up from the church and only signified one single thing and that was that Mali had either succeeded or done something that she shouldn't of. Such immense power, it was a fearful thing, the power of Leviathan. They had actually done it, the beast was released. It was surely something not to be celebrated, but he couldn't feel sorrow. Even though he would die, it was up to fate to see if the world would end. The end was inevitable...and no one could ever fully predict how it will come. True it was thought that Azrael and Abbadon would be the ones there to end it all, but maybe Lucifer and Leviathan were the ones who were destined for this role.

How long had it been since the beast had awoken? His eyes slowly opened up as his body began to move. With a groan, Alistair slowly began to fully awaken, lifting his body off of the ground and sat up. "What the hell..." Alistair muttered rising up to his feet only to stumble downward and hold his chest with one hand and cover his mouth with the other. Blood spilt out of his mouth, rushing out like a stream that was unable to be held back by his mouth. Throwing up he began to cough and pant. This was not the doing of that blast, these symptoms were all too familiar to him, they were the curse taking form. "Damn, how long was I out..." Alistair muttered coughing out some blood once more. It had to of been more than three days and even now he was finding it difficult to even stay awake. His head was spinning and a migraine started to form at an intense rate.

    "Mali...Mali"

The boy repeated that name as he pushed away the rubble tiredly. He knew there wasn't a likely chance that the one he was looking for was still around, but he had to check. His eyes were dull and his face was wet with what seemed to be a mixture of tears and dirt. The boy just wanted to make everybody happy, he just wanted all the fighting to end. Still repeating the name, Caius continued to dig through the rubble, holding onto the hope that she wasn't dead. He would accept any punishment, so long as he could tell that Mali was alive.

Mist exploded on the wall behind Henrik who paused to take a moment to look at where it had hit. "Were you even trying to hit me?" Feeling that they were done here he transformed Nakah back into its original state and placed it back in his weathered coat. He needed a new one already.

    "We're not done here yet!"

"It's been three days. We need to do something other than fight. You're my son."

"I don't care! I don't want to talk. I need to beat you."

I know every trick he could possibly pull with my powers. I expected more from your kid. He hasn't even killed an angel yet. Henrik shook his head, ignoring Araquiel, and looked his son in the eyes. Despite how cold Soren's gaze was he could still see resemblance between him, his sister, and his mother. They all had Iris's eyes. It was almost ironic. Despite the violent behavior Soren adopted from Araquiel, Henrik could see that there was more than just hate within Soren. He cared a great deal about the other nephilim and it was obvious that pushing himself was only to ensure he had the power to protect them. "You haven't asked me many questions. You haven't tried talking about that bonding ceremony that you witnessed either."

    "I don't want to talk."

Henrik smiled. "I was a lot like that when I was younger. Well, I still am. I found it so hard to talk to anyone just because I was different. It would have been a lot easier if I wasn't smarter than everyone."

    "That sounds arrogant."

"Maybe. But it's true." Henrik stepped closer towards Soren who, instinctively, backed up and tensed. "Relax. Fight's over. Do you mind checking on that mirror?"

"I guess..." Soren pulled out the fragment ready to say that the situation had been unchanged when people suddenly started to move. Including his mother. "Th-they're waking up. How? Shouldn't they be dead by now?"

Henrik rushed over to look at the image shown in the mirror, feeling as if a heavy weight had been lifted upon seeing his wife waking up from what had happened. He patted Soren on the shoulder, who flinched in response, and left to the other room to find Anna thinking it would do her some good to see her mother. Unlike Soren, Anna was a little more accepting of him although she seemed to be a little frightened of him. She did not speak to him the entire first day and Soren was...Soren.

Hana blinked here eyes open to sunlight. Every muscle in her body ached and she squeezed her eyelids shut. Her head was spinning and there was an overwhelming sense of dread weighing heavily in her chest. She pressed her hand down on something firm in order to get into a seated position. As Hana reopened her eyes, she noticed that 'something firm' was Vincent's chest. Her fingers curled together into a ball and she slid her hand away. Hana attempted to focus on her surroundings and remember what exactly happened. Her memory was a little groggy.

The sound of crying caught her attention. She turned her head in the direction of the voice. It kept calling a name out over and over again. Her blue eyes landed on the source and widened in horror at the surroundings. Her breath caught in her throat and her chest constricted. Hana fought to swallow the forming lump in her throat and struggled to her feet. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no, no, no, no, no. She broke out into a running stride. Her legs felt like gelatin and more than once did she lose her balance and stumble forward. This was a terrible sign. Hana ran past the horned - Nephilim boy that was digging through the rubble and the Dark Angel standing near him.

She couldn't breathe. All this destruction could only mean one thing. The ground crunched underfoot as she passed over rubble and debris. She used her powers to move whole chunks of church out of the way in order to find the buried alter. Her hands were shaking and she could barely stay on her feet in the desperate panic that had overcome her body. It had to still be there. This had to just be a coincidence. Rubble continued to fly around until she could see what was once the alter area of the sanctuary. There on the floor where the seal used to be was a gaping hole. The same with which she had recently exited. Her heart sunk. God have mercy ... she whispered, collapsing to her knees in the rubble.

DAY: 82 - 2/4 DATE: December 13th, 2013 [Friday] LOCATION: Obsidian Palace in Hell

It had been three days since the ceremony had ended. Three days since she forcibly took over Joslyn's body. The process was a painful one that left the girl writhing in pain on the black marble floor of the Throne Room as everyone did nothing but watch. Locks of brown hair hung in front of her eyes as she sat in her bed, staring at the door in front of her. Ivory wings wrapped around her as she continued to gaze distantly at the door. It was so strange, having her wings back. So strange, and so wrong. These weren't the wings granted to her by the Father. These were the wings that came at the cost of an innocent girl's life, not that it mattered to most of the others there.

"I wonder what it's like to fly with your own wings... " The familiar voice rang out in her head.

"You know, to be honest, I don't remember what it's like. It's been ages since I had these wings, and frankly, I could've gone ages more without them. " The angel solemnly replied. "Again, I am sorry that you had to go through all of that. "

"You don't have to keep apologizing. After all, I still exist in your mind, don't I ?"

"Yes, you do. " During the Bonding Ceremony, in a desperate bid to do something to help the girl as she writhed in agony from changing, she managed to contain the girl's existence in her mind. So now, as luck would have it, their roles were now reversed. The albino teenager was now a voice in the mind of the angel.

"Hmm, so if I exist in your mind, does that mean I'm technically immortal ?"

"I guess so. I hadn't thought of it like that... " The angel really had to think about it now. Since she didn't have an actual, physical body, that meant she wouldn't age or be killed.

"I have to say it feels odd being the voice in another person's head. Almost surreal that I'm even in this position. And it's even stranger that I can see what you see. "

"Now you know what I felt like, " The angel quipped.

"I guess so. " The angel's lips curled into a faint smile as she continued to converse with Joslyn.

Temeluchas woke up on her stomach coughing. She pulled herself up to her knees and dug up fistfuls of grass as she did so. Feeling terrible was an understatement. Golden eyes searched the battlefield, only to determine that there was no fighting. She looked to see the wreckage and a smug grin spread on her lips, only to be interrupted by another cough. How long had she been out for? Lu spotted Alistair who looked even worse for wear. It was time to go.

She got to her feet and marched woozily over to him. Caius's whimpering voice drifted to her and she spotted the boy digging through the rubble. It took her a minute to realize what he was saying -- 'Mali.' Lu hadn't actually seen the girl since she left with the child. She shook her head at his foolishness and grabbed Alistair by the back of the collar, dragging him along. "Caius," she called to the boy, "it's time to go. Mali isn't here. I sent her away." Temeluchas trudged through fallen debris and grabbed him by the arm gently. "We need to leave."

With one hand on each of them, mist swirled up around the three. Lu coughed again and the blackness engulfed her body. They had succeeded. Whatever happened in there meant that Leviathan was free. Now, she just needed to get to him first, wherever he was.

"Good morning, Cal." Henrik greeted the young blonde as he entered the room, finding Anna still laying in her bed as he walked in. "Good morning An-"

Anna turned away from saying, "Five more minutes." It seemed no matter what happened she refused to get up unless she wanted to. Henrik sighed and sat on the edge of Anna's bed, watching the girl try to get some more sleep. It was only until he was rid of the illness that he remembered what a light sleeper he used to be. Something Soren had in common with him just as Anna took after her mother. Araquiel did not approve of Anna's "normal" behavior though. For some reason or another she was spared of Araquiel's violent nature which Henrik was thankful for.

"I'm sure your father would have been proud of you." Henrik directed this towards Cal, glancing her way before looking back down at Anna. "Lasting this long in Hell without letting it turn you into someone like Lu is impressive." Henrik slowly stood up being careful not to disturb Anna. "Thank you. For being here when I couldn't be."

    "Anna's still asleep?"

Henrik nodded and watched as Soren walked in. "The four of us should get going. It's safer if we get back with the others." There was a phrase he never thought he'd say. "Wait..." They couldn't leave yet. They didn't have Hana's stolen child with them. Henrik had never planned to just let the kid stay in Hell. He had been so caught up with his children that he had almost forgotten there was still another nephilim somewhere in Hell. "Make that five."

"You're joking, right? That's not funny."

Cal had a mixture of wariness between Soren and Anna's levels on this man that called him their father. She wasn't as violently offensive about the idea of him, but not so quick to warm up to him either. The point being, he wasn't her father so she had no need to like him. Instead, he was just a stranger sitting in their bedroom when they had come back from the Bonding Ceremony. Had those big angels not come in here forcing them upstairs, they never would have gone.

She had yet to speak to him, or anyone really. Not much had come from Cal since then. She curled up into the far corner of her bed and held the box from Caius. Now she felt to guilty to open it. She felt like she betrayed him. His feelings were in this box. If she opened it up, what would happen to them? Would they go away or grow stronger? This was her fault. Caius probably wouldn't be in danger right now if it wasn't for her.

"I'm sure your father would have been proud of you."

I doubt that. She didn't look at Soren and Anna's father. She couldn't. They had a father, Caius had a father -- albeit, a very unpleasant one -- everyone except her. Cal thought she was fine with it, but now she was watching the way they interacted with theirs and felt lonely. Her parents were dead and her sister was gone. There wasn't much left for her.

"Lasting this long in Hell without letting it turn you into someone like Lu is impressive." Henrik slowly stood up being careful not to disturb Anna. "Thank you. For being here when I couldn't be."

She didn't deserve praise. She never did anything. If she had done something, things wouldn't be the way they are. Her father wouldn't be proud of her -- not that she wanted the praise of a dead man anyway. There was no reason for him to be thanking her.

    "Anna's still asleep?"

She looked up to see that Soren had walked in. he was just another person to think highly of her when she didn't deserve it.

"The four of us should get going. It's safer if we get back with the others. Wait... Make that five."

"You're joking, right? That's not funny."

Cal's ears perked up and she slid to the edge of the bed. "What do you mean five?" There was only four of them, unless he meant that angel from the Bonding the other day or something.

Upon the gentle touch of Temeluchas, Caius merely closed his eyes and lowered his head. He knew the girl was in there the last time he checked, but even know he had no idea what he would have happened to her. There was no response or resistance as he allowed Temeluchas to transport the three of them towards hell once more.

Upon there Caius helped Alistair up onto a bed in order to relax and let out a sigh. "Im....going out for a bit" Caius said before walking out of the room, leaving Alistair and Temeluchas alone. He didn't know what to do, whether to run back to Cal or just hide away from the girl. Aimlessly he walked down the hallway, not knowing where he was going. He continued on up until he came across two figures up ahead. His father and the doll that he always walked along side stood up ahead, but something was odd. In the hands of the doll rested a familiar child.

"Welcome back, I was anticipating returning a full fledged demon, but to my surprise you've returned with your mind in tack" the silver haired man said let out a chuckle and glanced over at the child in the doll's hands. "the numbers just keep on increasing...to my surprise I found the poor child under a mere crate" Regulus said

"what did you do to the child?" Caius said tensing himself for a fight

"Nothing...after all I have done far enough research on the nephilim already...here...a gift for your hard work" Regulus said snapping his fingers as the doll walked up to Caius and handed over the baby.

The simple exchange made Caius' eyes widen and as he held the child he glanced forward as the two walked away "wh-wait!" Caius called back to no avail as the duo had already left. Glancing down at the child Caius closed his eyes tightly and fell to his knees "Damn it all..." Caius said as the tears ran down. There was nothing he could do, he did not wish to take the child back to Temeluchas and there was one place that he felt would be best for the baby.

Rising to his feet he walked over to the Nephilim room. His body was worn and injured from the conflict and though he did not wish for the others to see him like this he had no choice. The door to the room was opened up and he walked into it with child in hand.

"There's another nephilim around here that was taken recently."

"So you let another be taken." Soren spoke coldly. Henrik looked hurt upon hearing it. He had expected the fifth to be that angel girl who was transformed in the ceremony. Though he would not admit it to his father, Soren felt guilty about it. He could have done something to stop it and save the girl but instead he did nothing. What was the point in having power if he chose to do nothing? Even if it was to help an angel he did not believe she deserved that kind of fate.

"Would you be able to carry five through the mist?"

Soren sighed. "I could take three times as many if I wanted." He hated it when Henrik questioned his strength. Even during their fights Henrik would ask him not to hold back. Soren only took this as an insult. To make things worse, Anna observed their sparring match yesterday and said the same thing. "I don't trust the other angels."

    "But you trust me?"

Soren didn't answer. He had no idea if he could trust his father. Just before Henrik could press for an answer, Caius walked in suddenly with a small child in his hands. Rather than surprise to be his first reaction, Soren remembered when Caius had been that size.

"Caius!" Anna spoke up as she got out of her bed. She ran over in front of him and looked down at the baby he held. "Is this the little one you were talking about?" She looked over at Henrik.

"Glad to see you're alive. You shouldn't be running off to do something dangerous without me." Soren slowly walked over to his sister's side and looked down at the little nephilim child. "I remember when you were that size."

"And I remember when you and Anna were smaller than that." Henrik spoke up. "We should hurry and get him back to his parents."

DAY: 82 - 2/4 | DATE: December 13th, 2013 [Friday] | LOCATION: Where a church used to be in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Sam opened his eyes to find that he was lying on his back, his body aching all over. He tried to move only to have a sharp surge of pain stop him. When he looked around to see what it was, he found a piece of rebar stuck in his shoulder. Despite the injury, he forced himself to stand up and try to figure out what the hell happened. He remembered he was in the middle of a fight with Lu, and that Leon was seriously injured, and there was some kind of pillar of light that he remembered seeing before everything went to black.

When he looked around, he saw that, for the most part, everything had been destroyed. Not even the church that they were staying in was standing. He tore out the iron bar stuck in his shoulder with much resistance and pain the entire time. Crimson flames danced around his shoulder as the wound seared itself shut. It seemed like he had to heal his shoulder entirely too often.

He walked around, looking for any sign of people. As soon as he spotted a red-haired figure knelt down amidst some rubble, he rushed over to see what was going on. The moment he got close to her, he knew something was wrong. Aside from the fact that his son had gone missing, something serious must have happened. The details were a little muddled in his head, but he remembered that there was supposed to be something trapped underneath this place.

"Hana," he started, his breathing heavy. "What the hell happened here?"

The two siblings in the room were quite pleased with seeing the baby and a discussion immediately began. From what was said it seemed that the group was ready to leave hell for good. He glanced over at the room and noticed the old guy in the room as well, but his eyes were focused over at Cal.

He had not said a word and stayed silent as he listened to Cal speak up about finding Azazel and bringing her along. If Azazel was who he thought then Caius really wished for her to join them. The girl looked so depressed the last time he saw her and all he wanted was for her to smile.

Caius closed his eyes and let out a sigh before handing over Ruben to Anna "I...have to go...I'm sorry" Caius said staring over at Cal one final time before turning away and staggered off. If Mali was still out there then the best for him to find her was to stick with Temeluchas. Either way he had abandoned them before and did not know when he would break, he didn't want to burden them any further. Exiting the room, Caius stopped walking and glanced down at his shivering hand.

Eyes closed for a good while, Alistair took the time he needed to rest and make use of his time in hell before they headed off to go do something he considered suicide. It was such a soothing feeling to not be coughing out blood and the spinning feeling was gone for now.

Caius was not there and probably off to get a breather or something. Right now he really wished to see Cal but at moment he needed some rest and doing so was going to at least take a while. All he really hoped was that the girl was doing well and that she at least had managed to escape from hell.

A relaxed sigh escaped his mouth as he opened up his eyes and stared over at Temeluchas with a smile "Well, I'm assuming that went quite successful...despite the whole falling unconscious and all.." Alistair said closing his eyes once more. "Do tell me, what do you have planned ? Going to keep things hush hush as usual my dearie?" Alistair asked.

Hana just sat there in the midst of the rubble, staring down the center of the gaping hole in the ground. They had been fighting so hard to keep it sealed. She didn't understand what could have happened to break the barrier. The fighting -- they just weren't enough. Everything she had been working towards was falling apart. Joslyn and Azazel were gone. Reuben had been taken. Leviathan was free. How were they supposed to do this on their own. I should have taken the offer. Sam would have moved on soon enough. I could have helped more in my true form.

Hana, Sam called her name between heavy breaths, What the hell happened here?

She turned in the rubble to face him. Shards of broken glass cut at her shins and hands. Her crystal blue eyes were glossy as she gave Samuel an empty look. He's free ... she said desolately, Leviathan has been set free. A world of weight came crashing down on her shoulders as she said those words. She still didn't know how he was set free, but it didn't matter. The Serpent was set free. They no longer stood a chance at stopping things. She failed.

Sam, she choked his name out. Her gaze fell to the mountains of rubble beneath her. Sam I need to speak with Abaddon. The empty tone of her voice implied that she wanted to do it in private, without him being able to hear it.

Anna held onto the baby and raised an eyebrow. She felt uncomfortable holding the small thing. "Um..." She looked to her brother hoping he would take the child from her but Soren just shook his head in refusal. "Why do I have to hold it?"

    "It won't be for long."

"Fine. But I'm dropping him if he throws up on me."

Soren's eyes followed after Caius as he left the room as quickly as he came in. With the way Caius said that he was going Soren could not be sure if following him would be a good idea. As he thought this over, Henrik took the opportunity to head towards the door.

"Stay here. I'll be back. Just...stay here. All of you." Henrik left, likely having considered Cal's words on taking Azazel with them. Soren didn't want her to be coming along as well. It would only remind him of what he could have done to save the girl from such a fate. Could Azazel, the angel not the girl, even be trusted? What if she was just as bad as Lu?

"Why did you want to bring Azazel along? I guess I would have been okay with her host coming along...but we know even less about Azazel than we did of that girl who was transformed."

He's free ... she said desolately, Leviathan has been set free. It was something serious, alright. Some kind of monster was loosed on the world, and they couldn't do a damn thing to stop it. Shit was getting worse by the second.

Sam, she choked his name out. Her gaze fell to the mountains of rubble beneath her. Sam I need to speak with Abaddon.

By the sound of it, it was a serious discussion they needed to have. "Sorry, kid, but you're gonna have to sit this one out. "

"Wait, what !?" Before he knew it, he lost control of his body, and his senses of what was going on were being blocked out.

"You wanted to speak with me?" He walked over to a nearby pile of rubble and stacked several chunks of it for him to sit on. "If you're worrying about the idiot listening in, don't. I'm keeping him from hearing or seeing anything going on right now, so speak."

There was a moment of silence as a Sam clearly lost control of his own body. You wanted to speak with me?

    I do.

Abaddon walked over to a nearby pile of rubble and stacked several chunks of it for him to sit on. If you're worrying about the idiot listening in, don't. I'm keeping him from hearing or seeing anything going on right now, so speak.

Her gaze was distant as she looked out at all the others that were either still unconscious or just waking up. It was still undetermined how much time they had lost. They had very few precious days left to begin with. I'm not. I had faith you would suppress him. I just don't think Samuel can handle this right now. She turned to face him in the rubble, looking up to the man sitting on piles of debris. When I died before -- after we left Hell -- I was given a choice. Michael came to me and offered to let me return to Paradise; to stand beside them. I chose to come back, which makes me like everyone else now. After this cycle, I'll finally go to sleep. I don't want him to blame himself by knowing. But now, all I can think is that I would have done more good had I gone back. We've lost so many and the war has hardly started. Our enemies have been strong for thousands of years. These people have had a couple months tops. We've lost Azazel, our son, and now ... now Leviathan has been released.

I see. So you're giving up? The fallen angel asked her flatly. Honestly, how disappointing. I thought you'd have more tenacity than that. Let me be frank with you, if you think you would've done more good with the others up there than down here, I can kill you right now. An angel that's lost her faith is nothing but dead weight. He had been poking at the surrounding rubble with the bloody piece of rebar Sam pulled from his shoulder. Things have been getting progressively worse for us, I won't deny that. However, they happened, we can't change that now. All we can do now is do whatever we can. I imagine we have some time left, we've got to make the most of it.

Hana shook her head and got to her feet. In an attempt to dust herself off, she managed to dig bits of glass deeper into her hands. She winced, but stepped closer to Abaddon without healing herself. I haven't given up, she said pointedly, that's why I asked to speak with you. She stopped in front of him and set one scraped up hand on his shoulder. Someone needs to find Azazel and Reuben and someone needs to go after Leviathan before anyone else finds him. I can only hope he hasn't gone to Hell already. Going after Leviathan was insane. That kind of encounter could easily mean death for even those that were at their strongest.

Well then, he stood up. We'd better get a head start on that. Who knows how long we've been out? It's possible he already is. And it's also possible that the girl that used to hold Azazel no longer exists. I can't say for sure, but we need to consider the possibility. They had to be prepared for any eventuality, especially mentally.

Hana's hand slid down from his shoulder to his elbow and she gave him a strong nod. I truly hope that is not the case. She looked away, her eyes roaming from body to body. Take Richard with you. With Maalik's help, the Hellfire Mist is less likely to wipe out all of Samuel's energy from that jump. Bring them back safely. I'll get everyone here settled somewhere new, then start looking for Leviathan. Hana gave his arm a squeeze before starting to step away. She noticed Kai starting to get up and remembered something crucial. Abaddon, she said his name without turning back to look at him, Dumah knows where the Gates are. I don't think our travels are over just yet.

He popped his neck from side to side as he started to walk towards the man she pointed out. Abaddon, she said his name without turning back to look at him, Dumah knows where the Gates are. I don't think our travels are over just yet.

"Hmm, is that a fact? Well, that's going to be immensely helpful." The angel stood next to her and rubbed his injured shoulder. "But, just in case, ask if the gates are in Italy. If they are, then we might not have the advantage over them we thought we had." He took a few steps before stopping in his tracks. "You know, this moron is a lot more like me than I care to admit. If you hadn't come back, we would've been likely to kill ourselves after going on a self-destructive rampage. So," he started to groan uncomfortably. "I'm," He let out an uncomfortable breath of air. "I'm glad you chose to come back."

When he finished, he made his way over to Richard and let Sam take control again. "Aaagh! I hate it when you do that !"

"Quit your whining, we've got work to do. " Abaddon said uncaringly.

"Whatever. What did you two talk about ?"

"What we need to do. Now quit dawdling and wake this guy up. We have to go quickly. "

"Where ? He asked as he crouched down and started to poke at his face with the bloody rebar.

"Rescue our son and Azazel. "
