DAY: 74 - 5/4 | DATE: December 5th, 2013 [Thursday] | LOCATION: London, England

After the newbie's got in their training, they retired to a hotel and let the others sleep. Though, to be honest, Sam probably wouldn't be getting much sleep this night, just like all of the previous ones. He lay in bed as Leon stood out as a guard for the night. Although, he stared at the ceiling the entire time, thoughts of what he's gonna do when this is all over whizzing about. He sighed and waited for his turn to guard as he relaxed in the bed.

Richard had decided that they would probably leave tomorrow to meet back up with the church duo to help keep it all the more defended. Leon was right, the more guarded it was the more secure it would be. He had felt that after overseeing the training of the new recruits for the past two days that he was rather fine with the progress that they had made. There weren't any extreme outliers, but they all at the very least had a basic handle on using their swords and using their powers. With nothing more to do, Richard simply went back to sleep and waited for the next day.

In a surprising really weird and inexpiable turn of events, Brandon and Heinry had managed to drive back the Nephy, Malo. Well that was pretty awesome on their part. Granted she didn't really throw much at them, figuratively of course, but Brandon was sure this was not the last they would see of her. Oh well, Guardsman's job well done, Brandon had decided to go to bed right where he was so that he would remain ever vigilant for the oncoming threats that would try to break in tomorrow.

Blades pierced through his flesh as he used them to slash. The numbers were quite big, but they were on no true concern for Alistair. He had trained himself a fair deal and the demons before him began to fall one by one. For now it was all they could do as they awaited the return of Mali.

Far earlier than he expected, it seemed Mali had returned and there was no sudden apocalypse. Whether she actually did something the others were unaware of or the sheer fact that she decided to retreat was unknown as the three decided to retire for the night. Eyes closed, Alistair drifted off to sleep.

The morning started out the same for Soren as it had any other day. With training. Even when the usual room was occupied by someone else, he could find somewhere else to practice. He had spent enough days using his teleportation to feel comfortable with traveling any distance he pleased but without mastery over the power to stop time, he still felt weak. Being physically stronger than a demon was not enough, being able to kill any number of weaklings would never amount to being able to kill a Dark Angel on his own. His progress had been coming to a stop and soon the only way he knew he could be certain to get any stronger was if he killed one of the angels residing in Hell. There would be no going back if he went all out.

His last battle with Regulus had not been about killing him but, rather, learning how an angel like him fought. He had observed the others enough to get an idea of where they stood in terms of power but that was nowhere near the same as actually fighting them. Soren sighed out and scratched his chin, looking around the empty training room. Each day the room looked worse as his fighting continued to wear the place down. He wondered if about asking Cal or Caius to spar with him but the last thing he wanted to do was hurt either of them. At the same time, not doing it only meant he was being too soft with them just as he was with his sister. It would only do them more harm than good if everyone was not at their best when it came time to fight.

Unsure of what to do, Soren left the training room to head back into the nephilim room in hopes of finding the others already awake.

Opening his eyes were far more harder than he had expected but when he thought about it this fatigue made sense. He was away from hell for far too long and now he was enduring the consequences. No matter where he went it seemed it would bite him in the ass in someway or another.

Alistair merely smiled softly as his eyes finally opened fully. Staggering to his feet, Alistair held himself up by placing his hand on a tree nearby and held his other hand over his mouth before he began to cough out some blood "heh, what a pain" Alistair said nonchalant as he removed his hand and stared down at his blood covered hand.

The still had work to do, but in this state things were going to be a great challenge. Mali had returned, but it barely even looked like she took any sort of damage. He was curious to see why she decided to flee, but then again the girl was like a doppelganger to Lu and Lu's mind was just so crazy to comprehend.

Sal had awoken on the plane and had realized the compass had ended up pointing them to a north western part of the North American continent. As their surroundings would indicate, and the plane driver himself, they were now located in Alaska. More specifically they were in the fair town of Fairbanks. With compass in tow, the group had exited the private jet and got ready to complete their recruitment operation as usual. Hopefully they would continue to get these rather easy cases to recruit people and then go about their merry business as things were. Getting an automobile, as was per there standard procedure, the group piled into the transportation and made their way to wherever the compass may guide them.

After a good deal of driving, the group had eventually reached the destination that the compass was pointing to. It was to...a mansion. Well that was wonderful. There was a rather large gate that would impede their process...if not for the fact that they could just sort of buzz in, tell the gatekeeper that they were here to see the owner, and the entire thing just sort of opened for them. Well that was easy. Imagine if they had to jump over or break it down. After getting past the gate the group buzzed at the front door and awaited someone to answer it.

It only took a mere moment but a loud beep echoed forth as the large gates begun to open up beckoning the others to walk through the large area at head towards the manor. Passed the snowy courtyard and towards the large doors that led into the manor, the group walked on until they finally reached the doors that suddenly opened forth upon their arrival.

There awaiting the group, standing ahead of the group stood a man of silver hair glancing down upon the book in his hands. The moment the group had made their entrance the silver haired man immediately shut the book and spread out his arms with a bright and cheerful smile "Greetings and welcome dear travellers and welcome to one of the most luxurious places this snowy land has to offer? to what brings you to the residence of Markov Delight? shall I fetch you a cup of tea my new guests?" he spoke.

For Lucius Nero meeting new people was quite the adventure, quite the rush. There were so many things that could happen, so many ways his story could go. What was their background? what was their objective? what will be their future? will these people have story he needed? or will the flop and disappoint. Suspense was usually a good thing to have in a story

Sal and the gang had ended up going through the mansion to end up to who he supposed the owner of this luxurious palace was. There sat a white haired man reading a book and greeting them rather cheerfully. It was good to know that despite being a rich man he was still rather polite to everyone else. Sal felt the burning of the compass reacting and Zachariel merely confirmed his suspicion. This man was Kiraman Katibin, the Noble Recorder. Well that certainly made their little hunt all the easier.

Sal ended up being the one to respond to the man first and simply said,
"I'm fine without the tea, though the offer is appreciated. As for what brings us here, the answer is simply that we are here for you. You see, as insane as this might sound, my colleagues and I, are actually fallen angels who are tasked with helping prevent the destruction of the Earth. As you've probably seen on the news, major natural disasters have been happening without warning, and something that has been mistaken as a zombie uprising has transpired as well. These are all due to the forces of hell coming forth, wanting to destroy the world on their conquest towards Heaven. You yourself are a fallen angel and we've simply come here to recruit you to our cause." Sal had basically told him everything that they normally told everyone and hoped that this would be enough so that they could be on there way.

Lucius raised an eyebrow and stared over at the group before closing his eyes. "Unbelievable" Lucius said before a smile crept across his face and just continued to grow. "SUPERB! REMARKABLE! INDUBIOUSLY FANTASTIC! THEY HAVE ARRIVED! THE MOMENT I HAVE BEEN AWAITING FOR HAS COME AT LAST" Lucius yelled in sheer glee as he placed his hand on his chest and raised his hand up in the air

"OHHH HOW LONG I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS TIME! HOW LONG I HAVE ANTICIPATED THE ARRIVAL OF THE PROTAGONISTS" Luicius yelled as he lowered his hand and pointed his finger straight at the group "YOU MUST TELL ME THE STORIES OF YOUR ADVENTURES! I MUST MAKE A CHRONICLE OF IT!" Lucius yelled before bringing back his hand to his chest and closed his eyes as he lowered his head.

"A tale of a rag tag group, roaming around the world, desperately attempting to prevent the rise of Lucifer and his dark forces. Death! Life! Sorrow! Happiness! surely this tale must hold it all!" Lucius cried out dramatically. "This tale, I shall call it The Fallen! it will be a far greater tale then my prized tale of The Girl in Watercolors!" Lucius said happily

As Sal listened to the man before him speak, he suddenly had some sort of odd feeling come over himself. Every time he went to someone to tell them they're an angel, he felt as though he would be seen as the crazy one. For the first time since Jun Tae told him about himself, Sal felt like he was actually listening to a crazy person speak before him. He started going on about how the protagonists for his grand journey had finally arrived and how he had to now chronicle. This angel was a rather interesting fellow. Nevertheless, the gang had successfully recruited another angel and it was an easy one at that. "Well then, pleased to make your acquaintance. My name is Salvatore, though like most you may call me Sal. I'm sure we can get all of your questions answered to the best of our ability as we go on." With not much left to do, the gang decided to leave the mansion. As they were leaving, though, towards the gate there a car parked near it that was not there own.

---MEANWHILE IN THE SAME ALASKAN TOWN!---

June was not pleased at all with the trip. Yesterday they had not done much at all in the town of Fairbanks. Their flight had been delayed due to some freak snow storm and so they ended up getting to the town later then they were expecting to the point where they had just gone to the hotel and fell asleep. Still, June had managed to entertain herself with a portable DVD player and a load of movies that her parents owned. Even now as she was being forced out of the hotel room she was still watching said movies. She had no real idea as to why she was being forced into this trip to the author's whatever. She didn't exactly care about it that much, but both August and April Summer were fans of this Lucius Nero and figured that this trip would somehow raise June's affinity for reading or whatever.

As her protests had failed, she continued to put her headphones into the DVD player and simply watched it in amazement and wonder. As her expression had turned to one of bliss, she completely ignored the outside world and the car ride seemed to basically be non-existent. Her parents decided to see if they could meet with the author themselves and decided to see if they could actually find someway to schedule some sort of appointment or whatever with him. With that said, they had ended driving to where they had found Mr. Nero's house- er, mansion and stood there gaping for a bit. There beyond the large gate was the esteemed author and a rather odd looking group of people.

Sal looked down at the compass and noticed that it was reacting just as crazily towards this car as it was towards the angel they had just recruited. Well, wasn't this convenient for them. Turning to the group he said, "well, I think we have another angel in that vehicle over there." With that, the group then went to go check the car out.

    DAY: 75 - 3/4 | DATE: December 6th, 2013 [Friday] | LOCATION: Obsidian Castle in Hell

The downtrodden teenager lay in her bed, arms limply placed in front of her. Swollen red eyes, half-closed, inattentively stared at one spot. She lay there, defeated. Everything around her may have seemed nice, but her situation was far from it. A slow sigh left her.

"Look, honey, I know this situation is bad and all, but we need to try to get out of here. " The angel had been trying to get her to do something. Anything that would let her have some ray of hope.

Slowly, the girl shifted in the bed to lie on her back. "Why?", she croaked.

"Why? Because I'm not about to let you get dragged into this whole mess because of me. We also can't let Lucifer have his way. There's too much at stake for us to just idly sit by and just let this happen! " It was clear that Azazel didn't want anything to do with this business.

"But can we really do anything about this? I don't think I'm cut out for what you're asking. It's plain as day to see that I am not very strong." She tiredly lifted up an anemic wrist to look at. "See?"

"So you're just going to give up? Just like that? Let him win and doing whatever he pleases? God only knows what he's going to do to all of the others out there. " Anger seethed under the surface of those calmly spoken words.

"There's nothing I can do..." The albino girl uttered meekly.

"And what about everyone else? All of their hard work and sacrifices, are you just going to let them be in vain? Let it all be for nothing? We lost so many comrades because of these people, and you want to do absolutely nothing about it? Is this really what you want? Is it?! " Joslyn remained silent at the line of questions. Azazel growled furiously as nothing but silence continued to leave the girl's mouth.

"Get up. " She demanded. Not even a faint twitch from the girl. "I told you to get up. Didn't you hear me? " Still nothing.

"I said. Get. Up. " Her voice was no longer its usual tone. It was much deeper than normal, and though it was calm, fury raged behind each and every word. "I see. We're going to have to do this the hard way. " Through no fault of the girl, she suddenly and without warning jolted upright.

The teenager groaned in pain as she forcibly moved her legs off of the bed and started to walk. "Agh! It... It hurts!"

"Oh, so now you want to talk. Sorry, but that ship has sailed. You didn't want to do as I asked before, so now I'm making you. " The girl continued to walk towards the door, sores riddling her body.

"P-Please stop! It hurts!" Her legs shook, ready to buckle at any second. "Please!"

"Are you willing to do as I say now? " She struggled to stand in place as they conversed.

"Yes! Yes! Now please, stop it! It hurts!" The teen hurriedly spoke. She collapsed onto her knees and caught ragged breaths as she regained control of herself.

"I'm sorry I had to do that, but I didn't see any other way of getting you out of that bed. " The angel's voice returned to its usual, sweet tone. "Now come on, let's go. "

    "Where?"

"There's gotta be an exit somewhere. We just have to find it. " She confidently answered. "For starters, though, we should get out of this room. "

"Okay." The girl answered meekly. After resting a while, she stood back up and opened the door into the hall and stepped out. There was no way for her to know which way was the right way, but she had to start moving to eventually find it. She looked around the hall as she tried to figure out which path led which way.

    "Do you hate me?"

    "wh-what?"

"Come now, you know I've been working with your father for so long...its only reasonable that you hate me..."

    "I don't hate you.."

    "huh?"

    "...you've looked after me...helped us...and your special to Cal...I can't hate you...I'm grateful for what you've done..."

"Man...you kiddos just surprise the hell out of me...but the thing is I should be grateful to you guys..."

    "....what?"

"Nothing...Its time I leave, soon I'll be heading off...remember the stuff I've told you. This is something you must deal with yourself, but don't be selfish and worry the others. Avoid midworld unless you have to go. Take care of Cal for me would you?"

"...Don't worry...just...make sure to come back alive..."

More and more he thought about his discussion with Azrael. There were so many things he though about and he just didn't know how he was going to deal with the issues he held. He found himself always going into the classroom, it was spacious, empty and a place nobody really went to. He never really shared lessons with the others due to being younger than them, but he knew he was the one who spent the most time in there.

He always scoured around the area looking for whatever he could in order to tinker with things. It was hard but finding what he considered pretty objects was hard to do, but rewarding nonetheless. Self-confidence was something hard for him to acquire, but the nonchalant Azrael had at least been able to help him out a bit in that regard. He had begun to make a lot of progress with Azrael's help, but overall there was still much more left and he knew that what was left depended on his own self.

His newest creation was complete and he raised it upwards and stared up at it as it glistened. It wasn't organic and he knew he wouldn't find such a thing in the depths of hell, but a rose made up of different pretty materials was what he created and he held some pride into it. Caius smiled softly as he stared up at it, but thought more about what exactly he would do with the rose and his face immediately turned red before he placed the item back into a nearby box.

With a deep sigh, began to wrap the box up with shaky hands "...um...c-c'mon Caius...calm down...er...d'oh I cant even speak to myself without being nervous..." Caius said covering his face with his hands. Placing the box away in a bag he had, Caius opened the door out of the classroom and headed out of the door.

Taking in another sigh to calm himself, Caius raised an eyebrow upon noticing somebody up ahead "huh? who's that?" Caius said to himself as he stared over at the stranger "U-um hey there" Caius called out as he walked up to the girl. "A-are you alright? you don't...look too well" Caius asked.

As she looked about in the hallways of the palace, someone called out to her. Reflexively, she jumped and backed away from the horned figure that spoke. The one she saw looked to be about her age, and while he looked normal on all other counts, his horns were very telling.

"Hang on a minute... This kid... " Azazel commented as she looked closely at the kid.

"I... I-I'm f-f-fine." She shyly answered. "What is it?" She whispered to herself and Azazel.

"I can say with all certainty that he is no demon or normal monster from Hell. The horns might scream demon to you, but he definitely isn't one. " The girl had no idea what the angel was talking about, but it might be worth asking.

"U-umm... Excuse my a-a-asking, but... What exactly are y-y-you? You're not a d-d-demon, are you?" She wasn't sure what to expect back, but hopefully, he might know something about a way out, if he was willing to help.

Though she said she was fine, Caius was having a hard time actually believing that. She looked frightened and that was something he really did not wish for her to be. She stuttered, which was something he found odd. All the people he had ever met in this place, they were all strong willed, but this was the first time he could ever say that he had met somebody quite similar to him.

He listened to her speak and ask what exactly he was, but immediately he froze upon what she said and looked downwards "I-I..." Caius began to stutter closing his eyes before letting out a soft sigh and calmed down a bit "you can say something like that..." Caius said quietly almost in a whisper before meekly staring up at the girl once more "Though...I am a nephilim, an angel and human breed" Caius said.

He knew he couldn't falter here and he knew something was up with this girl. He wanted to help this girl, with whatever it was that bothered her so greatly. "So..um...I really don't want to be a bother, but are you sure your alright? I mean...I really don't mind helping you out...I-I insist!" Caius said.

Cal sat on the floor in the Hall of Mirrors, watching her sister over and over again. She kept replaying the conversation from the day before. No doubt if she fast forwarded to the present, there would be more scenes of Mali in that church. That man was Soren and Anna's father. She felt sad for them. He was trying to convince her sister to help, but Mali had a one track mind -- she only did what she found entertaining. He would have no luck with that. Her twin would continue to stand beside the Dark Angels.

She sighed and the images on the towering crystals changed. That golden - haired man Mali had been living with filled the screen and she watched as he fought mortals possessed by demons beside the group of others. There was a man beside him that she had seen briefly here in Hell. If he could get away without being dragged back, why couldn't they? "Samuel would have made for a delicious snack."

Cal jumped at the sound of the voice and turned to see Manitos hovering over her. "You know demons aren't allowed in here." She spat. There was a discernible snort and a wisp of fingers trailed across her shoulders.

"Would you like to play a game Cal? It might help you with your decision."

"I don't know what you're talking about," she replied grumpily. Cal turned back to the crystals, but the images were gone. She sighed.

"You can't decide which you like more. Soren, who made you temporary rose out of mist; or Caius, who gave you that locket you keep playing with." Manitos smirked as Cal let the metal surface slide between her fingers. "It would be pretty easy to see which one likes you more."

"What? You planning to disguise yourself as me and see which one figures it out and resists." Guessed Cal sarcastically.

"That's exactly it. Not so witty, now are you?"

"Oh. And what do you get out of it?" She asked dejectedly.

"Well some entertainment for starters. It's been pretty boring for me. Ahranna is busy with the Bonding preparations. Mammon is off fighting Temeluchas and acquiring Leviathan. We still haven't locked in on the location of the Gates, so I need something to lift my spirits. Plus, I haven't fed in awhile and I can feel myself growing weaker by the minute." She swooned theatrically.

Cal faced forward, her red eyes locked on the crystals. They were beautiful. Even without all the pictures, they were something to look at. "I don't approve of you sucking the life out of my friends."

    "Suit yourself." Manitos replied monotonously.

Cal sighed as the sound of footsteps trailed away behind her. What Mani was offering was crazy. There was no way ...

Soren did not think that he had spent so much time in the training room. He had expected everyone else to be still asleep. As he walked out he turned to see Caius talking to an unfamiliar girl. She wasn't nephilim, she wasn't demon, so she had to be an angel. Why was Caius wasting his time speaking to her? Weren't both Lu and Regulus enough to teach him that angels were not to be trusted? Even Alistair, despite how he acted towards Caius and Cal, Soren could feel that he wasn't as good as he tried to show them. Angels were all just a bunch of killers who would turn on them, the nephilim, the moment they found no use for them. Still, with such violent urges itching at the back of his mind every day, did that make him just as bad as an angel?

"No one's helping you." Soren spoke up as he walked over towards Caius and the girl. "Mali left us to go with Lu and Alistair and just look at how she's acted towards us." Soren directed this towards Caius. "Go back to your own kind." He narrowed his eyes at Joslyn, eyeing her suspiciously. She certainly didn't seem like any other angel he had seen. If anything, she was afraid but that was probably just a mask for her true nature.

Caius' eyes immediately widened upon the sudden voice of Soren and quickly turned to face the older nephilim. Soren's voice was cold and hateful, and even though this was common for Soren when it came to the topic of angels, Caius did not feel what he said to the new girl was right.

Caius didn't know what to do, he glanced downwards at the floor now wishing to speak up against the elder that had helped him out, but it bothered him greatly. "No...." Caius said softly towards Soren before looking back up to Soren. "I'm going to help her" Caius declared.

"She looks lost and scared, whatever little I can do to help her, I'll do it..." Caius said. It was true that he didn't even know this girl, but that look she held just made him wish to help her. He wouldn't forgive himself for turning down somebody who desired help. He didn't want anybody to be sad. "She has done nothing wrong to us..." Caius said.

The very little details he had received were written down quite fast in the huge book that he had carried with him. All that he had needed were securely placed in his bag and with his new companions they were off to begin their journey. His book now closed and placed away securely, Lucius glanced forward and noticed a foreign car drive up to the mansion and a group of people walk out.

He had heard Salvatore spoke, but Lucius had already left from the group and headed towards the family that had decided to make it all the way to his manor. "AH! Welcome fabled guests! Have you come to say good day to I? I, Lucius Nero welcome you to my residence" Lucius said before placing his arm across his chest and gave them a bow "I do so hope you’ll have a magnificent time in these halls of literature" Lucius said before getting upon one knee as he grasped the hand of Mrs. Summer and gently kissed the top before rising once more and pointed to his mannor "Ah greatest day! such guests to have joined me on this day! Tis as if the month of June has come for us to celebrate! If it is a celebration then surely we must return to the manor where we can delve our minds into the workings angels!" Lucius said

The Summers had ended up going outside of their car only to see that the fabled author himself, the fabled Lucius Nero himself had walked towards them to greet their presence here. They were being welcomed quite easily into the author's home and couldn't quite contain themselves. August was bouncing with glee as the unbelievable was happening, and April's heart was simply a flutter. As the man kissed her hand, April's face had flushed and she could start to see spots as if she were to pass out at any given moment. June, however, had not left the car and was still busy watching her movies. She picked her head up as the white haired man had mentioned something about the month of June and the word angels. Something felt pretty off about those words, granted they were just words, and common ones at that, so she quickly let the thought perish from her head as she returned back to her activities.

"Ar-are you quite sure that we can go in Mr. Nero," the clearly nervous August Summer had been quite shocked by the offer to simply march into the esteemed author's mansion.

"Ye-yes. Af-after all, we haven't set anything up at all and we wouldn't want to intrude on your humble abode quite like this Mr. Nero." April Summer was about as nervous and the two were in complete and utter awe. They were obviously going to take the offer, seeing as it was just there and it was their favorite author or something along those lines. But they weren't expecting anything quite like this to happen.

"Intrude? such rubbish you speak of! The arrival of new guests is never an intrusion! Come! your hearts needn't be shy! Guests need only to relax and enjoy themselves! I'm sure you've come from far so the pains of travel shall be eased by the luxury of my manor!" Lucius said with glee before he walked off with the two in tow.

It was a shame really, for he had hoped to see just how the others in the group had dealt with the recruitment, but Lucius could not ignore the guests that had wandered over to his manor. It was fate that another angel was brought over to his manor. Lucius could tell the tactics of the group were not the brightest, but for now he would merely make things more easier by taking away the most oppressive side.

Upon hearing that another angel had appeared at the front gates, Logan was somewhat surprised. It was a good surprise nonetheless, definately made their job easier. Lucius was the first one to approach the family. He acted like any other host did when greeted them, standard bow and kiss on the hand of the female. The usual things.

As Lucius took the people inside, Logan glanced over at the compass. It was still pointing in the direction of the car. So whoever the angel was this time was right in front of them. As the group made thier to the car, Logan decided to get the attention of the person inside by knocking on the window.
