During the travels that the group done, Logan had done some training with Samael. It was something that he definitely wasn't expecting, especially with how little Samael told him. Still he was glad to actually to do some physical training, especially since he finally got his wish and punched Samael too. It was a good thing that he did it early cause that was one of the few hits he actually got in him.

Right now Logan was resting in his room. He'd never thought the day would come that he would've glad not to be doing anything with Samael, but after training for almost every day he could use the break. There were quite a few things he learned and started doing, one if which was find a different fighting style since his current one wasn't all that effective right now. While he did have an idea on how he wanted to fight, but it was still early to be certain about it.

His eyes closed all to instantly upon hearing the newcomer make her presence known. His gritted his teeth as the two of them separated as Lu began to speak. He really had no hope for the curse and true the end he desired had a good chance of not including him, but he believed in Danel's words opposed to Lu's own words. Lu was know to lie a great deal so his decision to believe in Cal's words was obvious.

The argument began and what Cal said surprised Alistair quite a deal. She had actually said something quite insulting to her adopted mother and though he felt like ripping off Lu's head for slapping the girl like that, he still felt a sense of pride in what the girl said...she must have been learning from him after all. Before he knew it his hand was taken a hold of and he was dragged off by the angel of torment. He didn't want to go, but it was better for Cal if Temeluchas wasn't here. "alright alright, whats the rush? what do you want" Alistair said lazily with a sigh.

Today was the day for him, he felt all to nervous and worked so long an hard for it, but he needed to give it to her. It was only a mere week since then but he still remembered the seen all too vividly. Through all the pain she stood before him, protected him, and showed that she cared for him. She was special to him and he wanted to at least thank her for all she had done.

He arose from his bed and got up on his feet. As usual Soren's bed was empty, but strangely Cal and Anna's bed were empty as well. A surge of despair crept into him as he sighed and slouched "d'oooooh....this is going to make things harder...I knew I should have woken up earlier" Caius said silently to himself sadly. He had planned to leave his gift over on her bed and run away...but that plan was now shot down. "hmm...maybe I can use this time and improve it or something" Caius muttered taking a seat on the ground and began taking out some mechanical parts and well as some tools. His long hair was quite the bother, but she always did like to play with his hair so maybe that's why he never cut it.

He began tinkering with the items before him, but the sound of the door opening caused the boy to jump and try to hide everything before him "whaa!....oh its just you Anna.." Caius said with a calm sigh as he began to drop all the stuff he tried to hide. Unlike her brother he actually got along with the girl so it was nice to see Anna.

[/url]"Alright everybody, just calm down. This is America, this can't be the first time you've seen a gun being waved around." Frantic shouts and screams of people ducking for cover in the corners of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Already Manhunter had made short work of the security, not by killing them, but by shooting each and every one of the guards in the arm. Milo was glad to see that their investment in a little extra muscle for this heist was paying off.

"Tie 'em up, Wonder." Looking at that mask made him cringe behind his own, why did she have to pick something so creepy? Even if she was the only woman on the team, that didn't mean she had to play the part. As Wonder lassoed the tourists and employees Green and Flash stood by, rifles at the ready, to ensure no one tried to play hero and ruin the fun. As he passed Flash by, yet again he had to resist choking from the nightmarish mask chosen by his colleague. Apparently being part of the most elite organization of thieves in the world meant that they could not get a decent mask.

Leaving the four members of their league behind to deal with the hostages and sure-to-come coppers Milo (aka "Bats") headed towards his first stop at a display of a full one million dollars in singles that was meant for tourists to stop by and take pictures with. He smashed open the glass bulb with the butt of his rifle. He planned on letting the others worry about the had job of collecting the cash as there was another easier target for him. A briefcase with yet another million, also on display, full of Benjamins. Milo cracked his knuckles and tilted the case on its side to check the bottom for any trace of attachment to the stand in which it was displayed on. Nothing. He turned his head to the sound of sirens and cracked a smile. "Two million out in the open and all I had to do was break some glass and pick up a briefcase." He flicked the locks on the case and carried it out to the lobby where his partners were. "No wonder this economy's in the dumps."

He tapped Green on the shoulder, "Any word on Aqua and Supes?"

"They're coming." And in a hushed tone the masked man added, "What kind of cut are the rest of us taking?"

"Seeing as how I'm the bigshot around here..." He counted off the numbers in their league and nodded contently. "It'll be a six-sway split."

    "There's seven of us, idiot."

A muffled gunshot rang out, the barrel of Milo's rifle being pressed into Green's gut. "I don't count dead men." The others turned around to look at their dead comrade. "That's for the shitty movie. You know your jobs, get to work people."

Cal was left standing alone in the classroom, clutching her cheek. Momma Lu struck her -- she actually struck her. She was left in a daze, staring blankly at the wall, with tears dripping down her face. They stuck against the burning cheek. There was a knock coming from the doorway and Cal slowly shifted her gaze to see Soren standing there. She blinked at him, but said nothing. "Hey," He quietly spoke up, "is there room for one more here?"

    She nodded once.

Her eyes didn't leave him as he entered the room. Maybe Soren was right. They could only count on each other. They only needed each other and it was time for them all to go. That is, except for Alistair. He wasn't like Momma Lu. He always tried to help them. He apologized for what happened to her mother. He didn't need to, but he did. They could trust Alistair. She would convince Soren of that.

He stopped beside her and her bottom lip quivered. She wasn't used to crying, especially not in front of other people. Usually Cal was the one comforting Caius while he wept from his father's abuse. She wasn't the one that received comfort from anyone else. She bit back a wave of tears, but couldn't help herself. Cal threw her arms around Soren and buried her face in his chest. It wasn't fair. Her cheek stung and her eyes burned, but all she cared about was having someone hold her again. "Soren," she sniffled, "you were right. We need to get out of here. I don't know how, but we do."

That smart - mouthed little brat was going to be in a lot more trouble for the things she said. Lu's blue eye caught the sight of Soren hurrying off into the classroom right after them. She rolled her eyes and came to a stop, dropping Alistair's hand. "Alright alright, what's the rush? What do you want?" Alistair said lazily with a sigh.

She clicked her tongue to the roof of her mouth and pressed her lips together. "I want us to leave. There's things to do and little time to do it. I'm on a schedule and as you told Calamitosum, you agreed to follow me." Lu snapped her fingers and mist swirled around their ankles, pulling them out of Hell.

When it cleared, they were standing on the sidewalk of a busy city street. Temeluchas turned to Alistair looking bored and unamused. "Welcome to Little Rock, Arkansas. You're going to reap some souls as the Angel of Death. We're here to destroy." The wild look was back in her eye and she scanned the city streets. "I told you I was done doing as anyone said and intend to create my own chaotic paradise." Mist shot out from her wings and blazed down the city streets.

Anna raised an eyebrow upon entering the room to see Caius...doing something. She tilted her head watching as he tried to hide what he was doing upon realizing that she was really someone other than he had expected to come barging in. "Hi little one." Anna sat on her bed as her eyes shifted to the things the boy had begun to drop. "What are you doing?" She smiled faintly. "Do you want any help with whatever that is?"

She walked over to the boy and ruffled his hair, frowning at how long it had gotten. Soren did not seem to care how long his hair was getting but maybe Caius did. "I could cut it for you." Though, admittedly, she had never tried such a thing before and would likely make it look terrible. But Caius did not have to know that.

Soren froze as Cal embraced him, he could sense something bad had happened but he had not expected it to be enough to get Cal to do anything like this. He slowly wrapped his arms around the girl and sighed deeply. She admitted he was right but even that did not leave a good feeling in his stomach. "I'm working on it, Cal." He stared down at girl and squeezed her gently. "It'll be okay. I promise." Soren assured her softly as he ran a hand through Cal's hair feeling more than just uneasy by having her so close, but whatever word for that there was had been lost to him. After a long moment Soren pulled back and placed his hands on her shoulders.

"I know this isn't a good time but there's a lot I want to tell you." Soren's eyes met with Cal's before he averted his gaze. "I know I've been a jerk. I know I haven't said any of the right things to you. I've spent more time training than speaking with you or even my sister." He lowered his head and chuckled. "So much is eating at me that I don't know how to process it. I've always been angry and most of the time I don't even know why. I'm sorry." He shook his head. "I feel something different for you and I've been meaning to talk to you about it ever since you kissed me." Soren took in a deep breath, realizing this had been the most he had spoken in days.

"Can we...do something? Today...or even tomorrow if you want. Just us. No training, I promise. Anna can take care of Caius." Though his sister would probably ask him for a favor in return if he asked her to do that. To Soren, trying to deal with any emotion other than anger was foreign to him, it was as if he was stuck with every negative emotion while his sister remained the most normal out of all of them it seemed. Soren sat down on one of the desks in front of Cal which put that at even height for once and stared at her, saying nothing more.

Soren wrapped his arms around Cal and sighed. "I'm working on it, Cal." He gave her a gentle squeeze. "It'll be okay. I promise." he assured her softly. Soren ran his fingers through her hair and it felt nice and comforting. She liked it. It reminded Cal of all those times she stroked Caius's head to ease his restless soul. After a long moment Soren pulled back and placed his hands on her shoulders. She looked up at him with confusion and tears in her eyes.

"I know this isn't a good time but there's a lot I want to tell you." Soren's eyes met with Cal's before he averted his gaze.

"What do you mean?" she asked him.

"I feel something different for you and I've been meaning to talk to you about it ever since you kissed me." Soren took in a deep breath.

Cal blushed at the mention of the kiss. It had just been a friendly kiss on the cheek, nothing more, but had she meant for it to be more? She wasn't really sure. She hadn't wanted to completely brush off Soren's confession. It was her way of saying that she heard his feelings loud and clear, but she hadn't been sure how to react after that. Cal bit down on her bottom lip and wiped the tears out of her face. She probably looked really gross like this.

Soren looked at her with a mixture of fear, nervousness, and hopefulness before speaking. "Can we...do something? Today...or even tomorrow if you want. Just us. No training, I promise. Anna can take care of Caius." He let it end at that, clearly waiting for her input.

She gulped down a lump in her throat and lifted her hands so that they were resting on the ones he had on her shoulders. She nodded her head slowly. "I would like that. We could do something now. It would be nice to cheer up. I even - I think I might know why you're so angry all of the time. I could tell you, if you want to know." Cal smiled up at him and pulled Soren's hands off of her shoulders. She held them there between the two and gave him a small tug, leading them out of the classroom.

Temeluchas was impatient as ever, and as he sighed the two began to be transported out of hell and into the busy streets. He raised an eyebrow as he stared around and stared around before letting out another sigh. All this really spelt out for him was pure tragedy and it was definitely not going to turn out well. They were here to kill and he would not be able to weasel his way out of this. Temeluchas was serious and he had no other choice but to follow her.

His golden eyes opened up slightly as he glanced down at his right hand that began to glow. Clenching the fist, Alistair rose his fist into the air and slammed it towards the ground causing a black distortion to appear on the floor around him. Inhuman moans roared from the distortion from the ground and blood-lusted ghouls climbed out of the distortion. "Devour..." Alistair said calmly as ten ghouls were released and immediately let out a blood-curling screech as they rushed off to find whatever flesh they could devour.

As the ghouls were spread out, Alistair took a step forward and crossed his arms. "Lu...this is merely a request, but...if your planning on punishing Cal for what happened...please let me take it instead. It was my fault she even said that in the first place...I was the one who taught her after all..." Alistair said calmly as he unfolded his arms and formed blades from the arms.

Caius froze at the sudden question Anna had asked him and he honestly had no real idea how to respond to the girls question. "U-um...n-no..I..." Caius begna to stutter trying to find the right words to actually say to the girl. Would she blab his secret over to Cal? Anna was a nice person so it really wasn't likely that it would happen, but it still made the boy unsure. The relief of the fact that it wasn't Cal entering had totally made him forget that he was also hiding this from the others as well. He didn't really like being called little one now that he was practically the same age now, but he didn't complain.

Caius' eyes immediately widened upon feeling the girl ruffle through his hair and the sudden offer to cut his hair made him begin to thing. For a second he began to think about how it would be quite convenient for him to get it cut, but regardless there was something that had made him not want to cut it at all. "No thanks, I really appreciate it, but I like it long...maybe next time...." Caius said with a small smile.

His mind slowly began to be made as he turned his attention back over to the trinkets over before him. "Um...I'm making a gift for Cal...she has done a lot for me and I want to thank her for it" Caius said softly with a warm smile as he grabbed a small gear and played with it "Its...a hand made locket...It was okay before but now I wanna at least try and add more to it...something like music when it opens up or something..." Caius said.

Alistair released ghoulish souls of the dead to devour the spirits of the humans in MidWorld. She watched as they took off and fire spread between the buildings. Shouts and sirens began to fill the air and bodies hit the ground. Alistair took a step forward and crossed his arms. He was giving her a look and she rolled her eyes. What was his prissy problem now? "Lu... this is merely a request, but... if you're planning on punishing Cal for what happened... please let me take it instead. It was my fault she even said that in the first place... I was the one who taught her after all..." Alistair said calmly as he unfolded his arms and formed blades from his arms.

"Are you serious?" Lu pressed her fingertip to one of the blades and pushed his arm away. "Don't you go getting all defensive now. I have no desire to do anything to Calamitosum further than what I have. She's already breaking and that's more than I could ask for right now." A smile spread on her face and she coiled her arms around his neck. "Do you honestly expect to fight me Alistair Grey?" Her wings stretched what little they could behind her back and she tugged at the hairs at the back of his neck.

Anna eyed the gear Caius started to toy with, kneeling down to pick up one of the many trinkets laid out on the floor before turning it over to gaze at it. "That's sweet." She spoke quietly before placing the small thing on Caius's bed so they would not step on it. It would be a shame if anything got broken. Her thoughts wandered over to Cal who was likely with Soren now. She was glad to have her around as that meant even when she could not be with her brother, someone else was there to look after him. Even though Soren had gotten so strong and took the role as the elder sibling between the two, she often felt like she did all the worrying.

"I feel terrible. I haven't thanked her." Anna sighed. "Cal's done a better job keeping an eye on Soren than I have." She glanced at the locket. "He doesn't hate you. He's just..." Anna crossed her arms and hunched over to stare at the trinkets Caius had gathered. Though she had offered to help she had no idea how to do anything with those things. "...Angry." She closed her eyes and hummed softly as it made her feel better. The melody that came forth was one she had the vaguest memory of hearing when she was little. Something she had known even before she could form words but she knew she had never heard it from anyone she had met. It was a slow and simple tune, Soren even called it depressing, but it reminded Anna of home. Not where she slept but the idea of home, the idea of being with family. She liked to think that her mother had taught her that song and only held onto the hope that someday she might see her.

The pained look in Cal's teary eyes soon vanished as did the knot in his stomach when she smiled at him. Even if everything wasn't alright they could still make something out of this moment. "I would like that. We could do something now. It would be nice to cheer up. I even - I think I might know why you're so angry all of the time. I could tell you, if you want to know." She spoke up as she took his hands in hers and tugged gently to lead him out of the room. He followed without questioning where they would go, nervously glancing down at their hands.

"I just thought something was wrong with me." Soren looked back up at Cal and picked up his pace to walk beside the girl. "If you have any answers I'd like to hear them." He bit on his lower lip as he eyed Cal, thinking over something he should have done or said days ago. Before he opened his mouth Soren turned away feeling like he would only look like a fool if he tried anything. Taking a deep breath and reminding himself that the only ones around were just themselves, Soren refused to let his nerves get the best of him.

Even so, looking back at Cal only gave him a strange mix of feelings none of which were easily distinguishable for him. None except for fear. Fighting demons was becoming more like child's play to him, ironic considering his true age, but not once had he ever been afraid. "You're a good person, Cal. Much better than me." No, that wasn't exactly what he wanted to say. He smiled slightly looking her in the eye hesitantly. "You don't just look nice." For the longest time that was the only word he had for Cal and he thought it was time to change that. "You're the prettiest girl I've ever seen." Though he had not seen many one of which was his own sister. "Just...don't tell Anna I said that." He lowered his head, trying to keep his face from burning up.

"I just thought something was wrong with me." Soren told her as they walked. He glanced over at Cal before continuing. "If you have any answers I'd like to hear them."

"Well that's good," she replied softly. Cal never thought there was anything wrong with Soren. He was just angry and it was understandable.

"You're a good person, Cal. Much better than me."

She glanced up at him, still holding his hand, and shook her head. "That's not true." she muttered.

"You don't just look nice." said Soren.

    She laughed.

"You're the prettiest girl I've ever seen. Just...don't tell Anna I said that." He lowered his head.

Cal laughed again and nodded once. "I won't. It'll be our secret." They reached the staircase leading to the main floor and she pointed her thumb at it. "This way." They ascended the stairs and walked quietly down the hall, rounding the corner to head through the large marble doors that lead outside. She let go of Soren's hand to push them open and shut after they made it out. "I wanted to show you what it looked like out here. We're not supposed to go outside, but sometimes I would hide at the door and watch Lu sit along the banks of the Phlegethon and dip her feet in." she revealed.

She stepped forward and knelt down in front of the River of Fire. "It's not exactly romantic or anything, but I kind of like the way the river looks. I mean, I've only seen rivers through the Mirrors, but personally, I think this is way better than any river made of water." Hesitantly, Cal dipped her fingers into the flames. It didn't burn her up, but a tingling sensation ran up her arm and she smiled.

Everything was just so strange and him joining the group was just so pointless. Ever since leaving home they had made their way to some place he had no idea about and now they were apparently training. William had managed to at least get to know the others a part of the group and it was now that he had at least believed their words after seeing them preform quite the unnatural feats they they considered training.

He himself had made an attempt at this training, trying to see if he could preform such inhuman feats like they could, but there was absolutely nothing. Maybe there was some sort of physical increase he must of gain, but he felt there really was no improvement in the slightest. It pissed him off severely and it just felt like a sheer waste of time for him. If they were to be attacked all he could really do was merely run away and try not to get in the way.

Maybe he wasn't meant to be a part of this group, maybe it was a mistake and that he was not one of these angels that they spoke about, it would have made a lot more sense if he wasn't. What could a kid do for them? more and more he felt like a nuisance and he hated it. He walked outside and sat upon a rock with a sigh, closing his eyes as he shook his head. Maybe he should just head home and move on with his life, forget everything that happened and live his annoying life.

The ghouls had the sheer luxury of numerous victims for them to devour. They did not have to be picky and they rushed off to devour anything that they saw. Even if they did not finished their meal they would simply move on to a different one since they had food to spare. The screams were loud and the busy city had been louder than it had ever been in history. Alistair merely bore witness to such a scene and merely allowed it to happen.

Temeluchas had answered him and as usual the woman stood before him with her arms wrapped around his neck as usual, keeping the obviously false sense of affection. His eyes narrowed and a smirk formed on his face as he stared down at the woman "my my my...I honestly do not know where you got that idea from my dear" Alistair said placing on finger underneath her chin.

"You've been quite unpredictable as of late...maybe that is what has been keeping my interest piqued recently." Alistair said. He must have given the woman some form of credit. Despite the vulgar form of torture she had used against him over the many days, he was quite surprised to see her actually use some form of mental torture. He knew it well, that he was to blame for the weakening of Cal's mind and maybe if he didn't speak to her things may have been alright for the girl.

He hated blaming himself for so much, but he knew it was something he was guilty of. Despite all this he did not show hate or concern when thinking about this...no his smirk simply remained. He knew that Cal was strong and he knew that she would not break down due to Lu. Even so, he would do whatever he could to make sure the girl was safe.

"T-thank you" Caius said thanking Anna both for the compliment and for her moving his items off the floor. As Caius glanced down at the locket that was taken apart, he listened to Anna's words with his attention locked on her words. He was too nervous to really look at the girl so he merely continued to stare down at his work, hoping he didn't upset the girl in any way.

He felt a bit sad that she felt terrible and he wished he could do something about it, but what she said next about Soren immediately made his eyes widen in surprise. All that time he always thought Soren loathed him. He never understood why, but even he hated himself sometimes so it wasn't a real surprise. What was a surprise however was hearing that Soren didn't hate him. It made him smile and he was glad.

His eyes closed as he listened to Anna hum and Caius opened his eyes and stared up at Anna with a smile "that a really nice tune...you have a pretty voice" Caius said starring back at the trinket. "Ummm....well...do you still want to help me with this? I can tell you what to do and...um..we can give Cal this together and show our thanks together...." Caius said nervously.

Anna shook her head at Caius's compliment, laughing to herself. "Thank you." The boy seemed to be glad upon hearing that Soren was not truly angry with him. She knew what kind of impression her brother had made and was happy that she could at least comfort Caius. She looked once more at the trinkets on Caius's bed when he offered to give the locket to Cal together. "Really?" She smiled at him and nodded quickly. "I'd like that." Anna picked up one of the pieces and held it up towards the boy. "Where would this go?" She asked, eager to help.

His eyes focused on the large marble doors even after Cal had pushed them open. He had rarely ever been this way and even then he had never put much thought to what was beyond these doors. He regretted never having gone through them until now. The River of Fire seemed to be the main source of light around the area, the flames appearing to have some kind of liquid quality as they actually flowed like water. Unlike Cal, Soren had never seen a river, he had never used the mirrors for such a purpose anyway. Cal knelt down and began to reach for the river. Soren quickly stretched out an arm to keep Cal from touching the fire, freezing when she only smiled as she dipped her fingers into the rolling flames.

He went over to kneel beside Cal as he held his own hand over the flames and rather than feeling searing heat there came a comforting warmth rising from the river. Soren had never imagined something so...nice could be in a place he hated so much. He brought his own hand into the flames and smiled back at Cal.
"I don't know anything about romance." He admitted, though Anna did once mention that girls liked flowers. There weren't any flowers around and he had only seen a picture of them once so he was unsure of how Anna could say something like that. There seemed to be nothing he could actually give her. Soren sat down and crossed his legs, an idea coming to mind. "But maybe there is something I can do."
Mist trailed down Soren's arm and condensed into the palm of his right hand. He closed his eyes as he visualized what he wanted to make, it had not been the first time he had created something with the mist, but it was the first time he tried anything like this. He opened his eyes to find that the mist had now begun to rise into jagged shapes as if they were broken shards of glass. Soren shook his head and willed the mist to flow closer to the center of his palm, rising into a stem as rounded petals began to take shape leaving a monochrome flower resting in his hand. Its form was not exactly stable as it continued to waver about as if it would dissipate at any moment. "I'm sorry I can't give you the real thing right now." Soren sighed and looked down at the river.

"Maybe we should take a swim." He suggested, only partly serious.

"Ah right here!" Caius said happily pointing over at a certain piece of the locket. He really didn't need Anna's help and with her helping things were definitely going to be far more slower then if he was working alone, but he didn't care about that at all. He found it much more fun to have somebody to work with and it only made the gift to Cal much more special.
With them working on it eventually their task had finally come to an end and Caius could only close his eyes and sigh with a smile "and with that we are done" Caius said holding up the locket for the two of them to marvel at. "It looks so amazing...I really couldn't have done it without you..." Caius said staring at the locket almost awestruck. He truly believed that without Anna it wouldn't have turned out great at all. "thank you so much" Caius said. Cal was special, she needed this...

But does it make up for all the stuff she had to deal with?

Almost as if broken from a trance his eyes widened slightly and his hand shook before he dropped the finished pendant onto the bed he sat on. His eyes stared down at his shaky hands before he stared up at Anna shyly. "U-um...would you...um..could you...give it to Cal tomorrow? I mean...I'll just mess things up a-and I think she'd like it more if it came from you instead of me...you can take all the credit if you'd like" Caius said looking downwards scratching the back of his head.

    DAY: 62 - 1/3 | DATE: November 23rd, 2013 [Saturday] | LOCATION: Forest in Stanley, Falkland Island

Sam stood in the middle of the forest yet again. He had been going back to that place to do more training under Abaddon's guidance. Over the week that passed by, he learned to quickly switch weapon forms as he fights, as well as more ways to use his flames in combat. Creating pillars of fire, increasing the range of his weapon attacks by extending flames from their edges, causing powerful explosions when his fist connects, as well as using fire to propel himself forward and upward. His volatile temper also improved, though very slightly.

Throughout the week, he had also tried to start that fire without using his powers like the pretty boy asked him to do. After each training session, he'd spend at least an hour attempting to start a small campfire. Each time, he'd fail to do so, greatly frustrating him. He tried and tried, but that entire week, he couldn't manage to do it at all. Every time he failed, pretty boy's words rang out in his mind. "IF YOU REALLY WANT TO BE A POSITIVE INFLUENCE IN XATHANAEL'S LIFE, YOU CAN'T BE SO ANGRY ALL OF THE TIME."

After finishing his training session, he gathered what he needed and sat down to try again. "You're really intent on doing this, aren't you?"

"You heard what the pretty boy said. If I want to be a good part of her life, I need to control my anger. And if I want to marry her, I need to be a better influence." He said as he tried to start a fire yet again.

    "Whatever. Do as you please."

There had been some form of weight lifted off of Lauren's shoulders when she found out Alice was still alive. When Lauren had seen Alice she had rushed to embrace her and was crying like a baby in happiness knowing she was okay. Alice really didn't explain to Lauren what exactly had happened, all she heard was that she was in Hell.

For the next few days, everyone was training with powers and everything, except Will and herself, but Will was avoiding her, so she felt alone in this. She decided to train herself through hand to hand combat for a bit, but things kept getting boring for her. She was too used to it.

When she had woken up that day at the hotel, she felt something in the room with her that wasn't Alice and she quickly turned to look for it. For a moment she saw a shadow, and then it disappeared. It made her jump for a moment and she nudged Alice awake and spoke, "Love, I think there is a monster in here."

Alice quickly shot up with a face of nervousness and looked around frantically, she got up out of the bed and opened up closets and looked under beds and the look of fear changed into a face of pure anger, "...Lauren, you aren't five years old, I don't appreciate being woken up over something like this..."

"You're the one who freaked out..." Lauren mumbled as she stood up and walked over towards her, "I was in Hell, where there are actual monsters. I-" Lauren quickly pecked her on the lips and grinned as Alice shot her a look.

Lauren walked into the bathroom to get dressed as she replied, "Well, it is gone..." Right as Lauren shut the door, she turned around to see the shadowed figure again and Lauren let out a quick yell and fell against the door.

Alice knocked and hollered to see if Lauren was okay and she mumbled in reply, "I'unno..." Lauren stared where the shadow once was and did nothing for a good long while.

"My, my, my... I honestly do not know where you got that idea from my dear." Alistair said placing on finger underneath her chin. Really? He didn't know where she got the idea that he wanted to fight her when blades started to shoot out of his arms? Alistair couldn't trick her, not matter how dumb he believed Lu to be. "You've been quite unpredictable as of late... Maybe that is what has been keeping my interest piqued recently." Alistair said.

She rolled her eyes and pulled away from him. He was so insufferable. Temeluchas clicked her tongue to the roof of her mouth. "Just get to work will you? There are lots of souls to reap and buildings to destroy. I don't want a single person in this city left untouched by my torture. Everyone should suffer." She turned away, watching as the chaos began.

"Alistair," she said coolly with her back to him, "If there were a way to break the curse, would you really want to leave me?" asked Lu. There was a hint of sincerity in her voice and her shoulders tensed.

Cal pulled her shoes off and dipped her feet into the river as well. She looked up at the sound of Soren's voice. "I don't know anything about romance." He admitted. He sat down and crossed his legs. "But maybe there is something I can do."

She raised an eyebrow. "Hm? What do you mean?" He didn't have to do anything for her. Mist trailed down Soren's arm and condensed into the palm of his right hand. He closed his eyes and reopened them a moment later. The mist swirled and a strange shape was taking form. It started out jagged, but the whorling mist started to look like a thorned stem followed by rose petals. He was making a flower. That was amazing. Cal gasped in surprise. It was still smoky and black, but beautiful nonetheless. A smile spread on her lips as it fought to lose its form. "Beautiful," she breathed.

"I'm sorry I can't give you the real thing right now." Soren sighed and looked down at the river. "Maybe we should take a swim." He suggested.

Cal laughed. "I really don't need anything, but thank you." Her eyes shifted to the River of Flames in front of her and looked uneasy. "I don't think it's a good idea to go swimming in this. Just because I can stick my feet in doesn't mean its safe." She laughed again before pulling her feet out and resting a hand on Soren's shoulder. "This was nice." she told him.
