Hana's breathing slowed to a stop and the
sound of shattering glass echoed through the forest.
The barrier broke with the last beat of her heart
and she was left motionless in Sam's lap.

Soren raised an eyebrow at Cal's comment. Sleeping in? He didn't know he had done that but the important thing was that he was awake now. He smirked and tilted his head until it popped, rolling his shoulders afterwards. If she was intending to fight him he would have to stretch out a little. He had just woken up and his body was still a little sore. Thankfully, Cal did not look so fresh herself either. "That's right, you should go after someone your size." He motioned for her to come at him. "Or at least close to it." He teased right back at her given that he was the tallest of the bunch.

Trails of mist began to form around the tips of his fingers. Not exactly how he wanted to start the day off, but it would be fun to see if Cal had really gotten any stronger. Soren was unsure if he would be comfortable if he actually hit Cal but at the same time, he knew she would probably take it as an insult if he tried to put on the kiddie gloves with her. His eyes shifted towards the small knife in the blonde's hands. He didn't need anything like that. He was his own weapon. "I'm ready when you are."

They had been following Hay Sun for quite some time now. Her phone had apparently been showing them where to go. That was extremely convenient that they had access to that kind of tech. It made things infinitely easier on them. Without it, they might have been searching for days on end trying to look for them. Actually, they probably would've been all the way on the other side of the planet looking for them over there. That definitely wouldn't have been good for them. Definitely not.

After hearing Hay Sun start to call out, he followed suit and called out to the group they were looking for. Apparently they were close by, though he couldn't see anything. However, soon, the sound of cracking glass rang through out the forest. The group looked all around and found the source of the sound as the trio they were looking for slowly came into view.

"Hana? Hana?!" The sight of the large man shaking the petite red-headed girl was unnerving. "C'mon, quit it, this isn't funny! Wake up. Wake up, dammit!" Fearing the worst, the Italian rushed over and grabbed her wrist. No pulse at all. "Wake up! Please, just open your eyes!"

"That's not gonna be happening unless I do something about it." Vincent tried to reason with the delirious male. "I know you don't like me being touchy-feely with women, but in this case, I need you to trust me."

He looked up, a faint glimmer of hope in his eyes. "I-If you can help, please! Anything, I don't care, just help her!" As quickly as he could, Sam lay the girl flat on the ground. Immediately after, Vincent placed his hands over her heart and began to do chest compressions. It had worked once before with Leon, he had hoped that it would work again this time. Based on how they found them, her heart stopped not too long ago. That means that there was hope yet. With a sense of duty to the others, he continued to administer CPR for as long as it would take to get her heart to start again. The pressure was daunting.

Hana woke to find herself standing at a crossroad. The sky was gray and lacked any sign of sunlight. A figured stood not too far away, waiting expectantly. She ran her hands down the front of her shirt, only to realize her clothes had changed. She looked over the rest of her body and it reminded her of that dream she had where Danel impersonated Gabriel. Hana pulled her hair over her shoulder, just to be sure. It was still red, but worlds darker. This was her true self. And the man coming towards her --

Xathanael, his voice was strong, commanding, and yet warm and inviting, it has been a long time, sister. He stepped into view and she was taken aback. When was the last time that face was revealed to her?

Michael, she said breathlessly, What is going on? I died. I should be moving on.

He nodded his head slowly. Glorious wings spread out behind him and she was momentarily distracted; until he spoke again. Ah, yes. But, like countless mortals before you, your soul is not at rest. You are still clinging to your life, and so you cannot move on. Xathanael, you are at the Crossroads. You have a choice to make.

What kind of choice? she asked Michael. Gabriel was the messenger, not Michael. For him to be here, meant it was serious.

You left Paradise selflessly. You chose to cast aside your wings to protect Azazel and that is exactly what you have spent your life doing, until recently. You always held true to your oath. Today, you have made another selfless act. You died to protect those humans and Abaddon. None of them deserved your selflessness, and yet they received it.

It was the right thing to do! she cut in. Xathanael did not appreciate Michael talking about them in that way.

He nodded his head and lifted his hand to silence her from any further outbursts. It was. That is why you have been given a choice. For your years of selfless actions you are being pardoned. Large black wings burst from her back and she screamed in pain. You may return to Paradise with me.

She reached over her shoulder and felt her wings they were really there, in all their glory. It wasn't an illusion. Xathanael flapped them a few times and it was like true happiness spread through her for the first time ever. She lifted her head to look at Michael. You said there is a choice, what are the other options? she asked.

His expression was collected and patient. Return with me and fight by our side, or return to your cycle. We could use your help if Lucifer does manage to find the Gates.

She shook her head. It seems like the only real option is Paradise. It's what I've wanted since I left. I won't be any help to any one as a child and by the time I am, it will be too late. Xathanael took a step forward, then hesitated. But the others ... I would never - I could never see them again. I can't just go back to watching them from a distance, only to be forgotten. It's too painful and Father ... It was such a hard decision.

There is another, said Michael, interrupting her thoughts. She looked up at him confused. You may return to your current body, but there is a price. For turning your back to Paradise twice -- this time for a selfish act, not a selfless one -- you shall never be given another chance at Paradise. You will be cast out in the same sense as the others, and when you die next, you will sleep. Your reincarnation cycle will be just the same as everyone else, leaving Azazel exposed. Those are your options -- Paradise, rebirth, or return.

Xathanael sat down on the ground, her wings folded around her. How much time do I have? she asked without looking up at him.

If you wish to return to your body, not long. They will prepare your funeral pyre if you do not wake up soon.

And the Nephilim?

It is currently still alive, sustaining istelf with the remnants of your leftover magic. It will die in the fire. It is too undeveloped to last outside of your body just yet. his voice was matter - of - fact. There was a long silence. It seemed to stretch on for ages. Finally, Michael grabbed her hands and pulled her to her feet. Time is up. Do you know what you wish to do?

She took a slow steady breath and nodded once. I do.

Then so it shall be done.

Her chest hurt. There was pressure against her sternum and hands moving up and down. She couldn't make her eyes open, but air filled her lungs and there was warm contact against her lips. Hana exhaled after the breath was taken from her. The compressions continued and her fingers twitched at her side. Water droplets dripped down onto her face and she reached up to wiped them away. There was a collective gasp and sigh of relief. Her lips parted and the hands fell away from her chest. Everything was still dark as she struggled to open her eyes. There was a flutter in her stomach and she rolled onto her side to vomit.

Her eyelids parted and she stared down at what was primarily saliva and stomach acid. They hadn't really eaten since arriving on the island. Her body still burned with the fever and it was like someone shot an arrow through her head from temple to temple. She struggled to get to her knees, only to fall back onto her side. Her throat burned with the taste of acid and large warm hands wrapped around her arms. Her blue eyes met Sam's face before she noticed the four other people that had come to join them. The corners of her lips turned up into a smile even through all of the pain and she was glad to see the faces that were there. Vincent was knelt next to her -- no doubt the one that revived her body --, Hay Sun and Sal were there as well, along with Ariel. They found him and he looked to be in relatively good condition. That was great.

Hana leaned back against Sam's chest feeling dizzy. Tears cascaded down her cheeks. She was back and Raziel had heard her. Thank you Father, for everything. Her chin tilted up and she smiled with puffy eyes and tear stains down the front of her face. Everyone's okay. She could hardly believe it. Everyone's okay, she repeated more to herself in disbelief than anything else. Hana swallowed a lump in her throat. It hurt to talk, but she looked to Vincent and spoke anyway. I could ... use a little more ... help. She curled up in between Sam's legs and arms, choking back a relieved sob. They made it okay. She was alive. No one was in Hell. It was going to be okay.

The sun had shone on his closed eyes and William began to twitch as he slowly began to open his eyes and block out the sun with his hand "Man...I should really try and remember to close the blinds..." William muttered as he arose from his bed groggily, scratching the back of his his head. The sun was always a pain for him, but at the same time it was something he really felt a connection with for some odd reason. After a shower, he was out and began to comb his long hair, getting ready for the day that he figured was going to be a really complicated one.

Breakfast was devoured and he was soon out of his apartment with the small important things secured safely in his backpack. It was odd thinking about how he was going to go on this wild crazy adventure and he really did not know what to actually do about it. His body was that of a child and as much as he hated it, his muscles haven't really developed as well. What use did they have for him? wasn't he going to be a liability to their group? could they really do it? it was far too early to judge the competency of the group, but so far they really weren't proving themselves to him... not that they really had to do so.

With a sigh he walked into the hotel once more and returned to the lobby where he said he would meet the others. All of this was really giving him quite the headache so he just sat down on a nearby chair and began to rub his temples too annoyed from it all.

As he watched Hana receive CPR from the blondie, he could only watch worriedly, waiting for any sign of life to return to her. Each time he pressed down felt like a press against his own as time went on. His heart beat furiously as nothing was happening. Slowly, ever so slowly, he was starting to lose hope. When he saw her formerly lifeless hand reach up to wipe away the tears from her eyes, he let out a sigh of relief. She was alive. Thank God. His heart slowly started to calm down as he watched her roll onto her side and vomit.

Sam went to her and wrapped his hands around her arms. He couldn't express how much of a relief it was to see that she was still alive. Seeing her smile again, even if it was a pained one, was just wonderful. She leaned back into his chest, no doubt still feeling under weather. He looked around to see the group of people that had just come to save them. It was just a small group of four people, but they were all familiar faces. Hay Sun, the blondie, the other guy they got from Italy, and someone that he was sure he had seen before. He didn't remember where, but his hair made him seem familiar.

Everyone's okay. He heard her say. Everyone's okay, she repeated to herself. It seemed that way. It was a miracle that the guys even found them that fast. I could ... use a little more ... help. Hana directed it to the person who had revived her. He was sitting down, supporting himself with his hands as he leaned back.

"Okay, give me a sec. All of that pressure is just hitting me." The blondie was sweating bullets from doing all of that CPR. He let out one big breath before standing up. Blondie was about to put his hand on the curled up red-head when he stopped and put his hands up. "Oh wait. Is it okay with you if I lay a hand on her?" Smart ass.

"It's fine. As long as it's not somewhere too private, pervert." Sam gave the guy a deadly glare as he stood there, his hands still up.

He laughed nervously as he reached out to grab her arm. "Scary~" Still, despite the glares and the attitude, he was deeply grateful for what he had done. There probably wouldn't be any way he could find to repay his kindness. As much as he couldn't stand the guy, he couldn't really hate a guy who saved a life. As he did whatever it was he doing to Hana, he commented on Sam's appearance. "Y'know, you don't look too good yourself. Do you need me to patch you up, too?"

"I'll pass," He said simply. There really was no need to bother with it. The scars on his body were pretty much healed up, and they didn't really hurt any more. Definitely not as much as they had when he first got them. "I gotta know, though: How the hell did you guys find us so fast?"

The sounds of screeching, snarling, and roars echoed throughout the training room. Glancing over his shoulders Alistair could only smile as he noticed the very thing that he had been awaiting for the day. "Well then its about time" Alistair said narrowing his eyes with a grin as he stared over at the doorway. Standing by the entrance stood the stoic professor holding a chained leash. Grotesque beast-like demons remained chained by the professor, chained like rabid dogs, the demons struggled for their freedom.

"quite the surprise...I thought nobody was going to be in here..even the stress of a new heart would not hold you back it seems" Regulus said calmly as his grip on the chain remained strong.

"Damn straight" Alistair said with a chuckle "I guess we can share a bit" Alistair said glancing over at Cal and Soren as he crossed his arms "well then why don't we go about killing some demons? shouldn't be hard...much more fun then slicing up each other" Alistair said as he smiled at the pair before turning Regulus and gave the man a nod before the man released his grip on the demons.

Out for blood the mindless beasts rushed forth towards the group ready to make an attempt to mangle the others. "A small warm up should be fun" Alistair said awaiting for one of the demons to head towards him. Raising a claw, the demon rose in an attempt to slash at Alistair, but a blade pierced forth from Alistair's chest and impaled the demon.

LEON HAD REMAINED SILENT SINCE THEY WOKE UP ON THE PLANE. URIEL HAD PUT HIM TO SLEEP YESTERDAY FOR NO GOOD REASON. HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE PUT TO SLEEP AGAIN, SO INSTEAD HE WAS BROODING IN SILENCE. THEY HAD BEEN WALKING IN CIRCLES THROUGH THE WOODS. DID THE THREE NOT REALIZE THAT IF XATHANAEL WAS SHIELDING HERSELF, THEY WOULDN'T FIND HER? HE SIGHED UNTIL THE SOUND OF A BARRIER BREAKING ECHOED THROUGH THE WOODS. THERE WERE CLOSE, INCREDIBLY CLOSE. THE REASON THEY HAD BEEN WALKING IN CIRCLES WAS BECAUSE THEY HAD BEEN WALKING AROUND IT -- CLEVER GIRL. OR AT LEAST, SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN CLEVER HAD THEY NOT FOUND HER DEAD AND ABADDON'S HOST SHAKING HER LIFELESS BODY.

THEY ALL WATCHED IN MUTE HORROR AS RAPHAEL'S HOST ATTEMPTED TO RESUSCITATE THE GIRL. LEON SET AN ARM ON HAY SUN'S SHOULDER AND HELD HER TO HIS SIDE. AS MUCH AS SHE WOULD NEVER LIKE TO ADMIT IT, THIS WAS HURTING HER. HE DIDN'T SAY OR TRY ANYTHING AND THE MOMENT THEY ALL SAW HER ARM MOVE HE LET GO. LEON DIDN'T WANT HAY SUN TO THINK HE WAS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION. HE SHOVED HIS HANDS IN HIS POCKETS AND GLANCED AWAY FROM THE SCENE IN FRONT OF HIM. RAPHAEL WAS HEALING XATHANAEL NOW. SHE WOULD BE FINE.

"I gotta know though, How the hell did you guys find us so fast?"

LEON COCKED A BROW AND LOOKED OVER AT SAMUEL. HE WAS ONE OF THE ONES HAY SUN HAD ASKED FOR HIM TO RESCUE FROM THE PLANE. "RAZIEL IS AN ANGEL OF MANY MYSTERIES. RAZIEL'S HUMAN JUN TAE SENT US HERE. I DOUBT EITHER OF THEM WILL BE WILLING TO DISCLOSE THE SOURCE OF THEIR KNOWLEDGE."

"That's an easy one." THEIR ATTENTION WAS REDIRECTED TO THE WOMAN BEING HEALED. ALREADY HER COLOR WAS RETURNING TO HER FACE. "Father. Father helped. I prayed while you and Alice slept. Asked Father to let Raziel hear me. I told Raziel to find us. I wasn't sure if Raziel would actually hear me, but I had a feeling my message went through." THERE WAS A SMILE ON HER FACE AS HER BLUE EYES RESTED ON THE FOUR OF THEM. "Raziel heard and Father helped." THERE WAS A LOOK OF SOLEMNITY THAT CROSSED HER FACE AND XATHANAEL BURIED HER FACE INTO SAM'S CHEST. "I don't regret coming back."

HE CRINKLED HIS BROWS AND LOOKED AT HER CURIOUSLY. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?"

SHE SHOOK HER HEAD. "Nothing. It's not important. All that matters is that everyone is okay. You appear to be doing well, Ariel."

"SURE," HE SAID BEFORE TURNING. LEON WALKED AWAY FROM THE GROUP.

They had been hiding in a barrier that collapsed when things started going to shit. By the time Hay Sun and the others had reached Red's side, she seemed like she was already a goner, which made her panic on so many levels when she tried to reassure herself that there was some sort of backup plan – because Jun Tae always had a backup plan.

That reassurance didn't stop her from begging Ralvie to do something because holy shit, it was like people were dying all around her all of the fucking time now and honestly, her soul couldn't take it anymore. It wasn't just anyone this time though; it was Red. Stupid Red. Stubborn Red. Goody-goody Red. Red whose real name was Hana, whose real-real name was Sadie-Clare Renvick. Mexico. New Jersey. The plane. London. The warehouse.

Her hands curled into tight fists on her stockings and she fiercely bit the inside of her cheek as Ralvie tried for something that might be impossible now. She twitched slightly when a weight settled around her shoulders, but when it was Pretty Boy, she relaxed slightly, thankful for the comfort and leaned into him slightly. When Hana's arm twitched with life, Hay Sun jolted and Leon was forgotten.

Her chest felt about a million times lighter when Red was on the conscious side. She took her moment away from the group.

When things settled down again, Hay Sun was leaning against the trunk of a near tree, deep in thought. Paco's question burned through her mind and her focus was zeroed in on him. ❝You.❞ she ground out unevenly, all thoughts of Red's health and anything else far gone. ❝This is your fucking fault, you piece of shit.❞ She grabbed him by the scruff of his tattered shirt and lifted him from the ground with her good hand, chucking him at a tree.

If it wasn't for you, none of this would have happened!❞ she screamed. ❝First you bang her in the dead of fucking night – don't think I couldn't hear you – and then you just up and disappear! Is it just a fucking coincidence that she just happens to poof away too?!

What even gives you the right to show your face around here you worthless trash?❞ she seethed out, steam practically shooting from her ears. A small, more rational part of her mind knew this was a bad idea; her fighting hand was useless, and she wasn't good at swinging bats with her right hand alone, but she didn't care. Samuel deserved to have his ass kicked all the way out into the Indian Ocean. Out into fucking space. Into the sun.

She threw her arm to the side and started yelling obscenities in French and Korean, mixed with the little Spanish she had learned in class. When the Russian that Uriel seemed to magically know kicked in, she was screaming in a completely new language, ready to tear Sam limb from limb.

Cora’s chest rose as she inhaled. Her eyes were closed and her feet were in a stance in such a way she was standing passed her shoulder width. Though she seemed steady as a rock her arms shook as she lifted her arms on either side of her bit by bit. She was showing signs of undergoing great strain as perspiration dripped down her face in little rivulets. She so badly wanted to stop, but Arariel was watching her extremely close.

Excellent,” the Fallen said, keeping her arms crossed as she observed the human before her. Cora was attempting to raise water on her right side and earth on her left side all at the same time. Introductions were cut short and skipped quickly to training. “Always keep a balance between water and earth. If you use too much of one, you will be a victim of extreme weakness. War is fast approaching. You must be ready for it, my vessel.

Cora hissed through her teeth as if she tried to say something in response to that. She had heard Arariel say this many times during their short time together, and it was becoming somewhat redundant. How long had they been going at this anyhow? It felt like it had been an eternity.

Arariel sensed something and took her eyes off of Cora, looking into the darkness. “Enough.” The Fallen’s fingers snapped and the water and earth were gone. Cora gasped and sank to her knees, resting her hands on them. Sweat was dripping off her forehead and her shoulders heaved as she struggled to catch her breath. “You must wake up,” Arariel stated, staring with ice cold eyes at Cora. “Train with this Henrik and Lei. They will make you stronger. But be wary. There is little time to rest…

Cora sat up on her mattress, panting and trembling. She had been asleep this whole time? But how? Her arms felt strained as if she tried to lift an elephant on her own and her muscles ached. Cora rubbed her cheek, only to find that she was drenched in sweat. She grimaced in disgust. “Yuck.” She forced herself to check the time on the phone and saw that it was nearly noon. “Bah!”

Despite the discomfort of moving, Cora got herself up, grabbing the clean set of clothing she had set out before she went to sleep and stormed to the shower. “Zoh zorry!” she called to Henrik and Iris as she made her way to the restroom. “I overzlepped. Zorry, zorry, zorry. I vill take quick shower and be out zoon!” Ten minutes later, she emerged out of the steamy room, all dressed in new and not so stinky clothes. “Zoh zorry! I vished to make breakfast, but I…” She trailed off and sighed, looking up at Henrik from under her towel that rested on her head. “Ve do more training zoon? Or ve leave zoon?” She didn't feel like discussing much about her training session with her Fallen. It exhausted her just thinking of it.

As they sat there, Hana answered his question. She had prayed that Raziel would get a message from her. It had gone through, and now here they were. The red-head curled up in his lap started to talk to the guy with the white hair. He still couldn't figure out where he had seen him before. The guy looked very distinct, he couldn't be mistaking him for someone else.

His thoughts were interrupted by Hay Sun, who had started to get aggressive with him. You. she ground out unevenly. What the hell was her problem now? This is your fucking fault, you piece of shit. She grabbed him by the scruff of his tattered shirt and lifted him from the ground with one hand, chucking him at a tree. If it wasn't for you, none of this would have happened! she screamed. First you bang her in the dead of fucking night – don't think I couldn't hear you – and then you just up and disappear! Is it just a fucking coincidence that she just happens to poof away too?! Her words stung as she spat them out. What even gives you the right to show your face around here you worthless trash?

The furious teenager started to shout at him in a multitude of languages, one of which he could recognize. It was apparent that she was seething with anger. "Hey, I had no idea that they would take her, alright! Those bastards did that behind my back." Though he expected this kind of behavior from a few of the others, it still agitated him to no end. "I'll admit that what I did was stupid, but you don't have to get in my face about this! If you want to blame someone for all of this, blame that damned chicken winged bastard! Had I known he had her taken after I went with him, I would have torn him apart with my bare hands! So don't start calling me worthless trash, you god damn brat!" His breathing was heavy as he stared at the dark-haired girl. He wasn't about to put up with this kind of attitude. The scars on his arms and body seemed to glow a little bit, steam rising from each one.

She watched Ariel walk away, wondering what his problem might have been. Hana didn't get much time to dwell on it though. You. Her blue - eyed gaze was immediately redirected to Hay Sun, who had found herself a tree to lean on. Judging by the look on her face and the fire in her blue eyes, she was referring to Samuel. Hana glanced up at him, then back over to the French - Korean. This is your fucking fault, you piece of shit. She marched up to them, grabbing Samuel and throwing him against a tree. This was asinine. Hana had been expecting this sort of outburst from Hay Sun since Sam choked her in London -- things were edgy between the two since then -- but now was not an appropriate time.

If it wasn't for you, none of this would have happened! she screamed. First you bang her in the dead of fucking night – don't think I couldn't hear you – and then you just up and disappear! Is it just a fucking coincidence that she just happens to poof away too?!

It was like each of Hay Sun's words was a tiny knife being stabbed into her chest with every breath. It hurt and her face turned red at the mention of that night. Hay Sun knew. She knew and she was mad at Sam and was defending her. Tears started to roll down her face and she turned away from the two to look at Vincent. He was healing the burns around her ankles. She watched the top of his head as he worked, unable to meet anyone's gaze. Hana swallowed down a lump in her throat. She didn't realize Hay Sun cared this much.

What even gives you the right to show your face around here you worthless trash? she seethed out, steam practically shooting from her ears.

Her head snapped back around as the slew of foreign obscenities came spewing out of the girl's mouth. Unlike the others, Hana could understand every last one of them and they weren't nice in the least bit. She shook her head. This needed to stop before someone got hurt. Hana set a hand down on Vincent's shoulder and met his gaze. His hands left her ankle and she nodded at him once with a look of determination.

Hey, I had no idea that they would take her, alright! Those bastards did that behind my back. I'll admit that what I did was stupid, but you don't have to get in my face about this! If you want to blame someone for all of this, blame that damned chicken winged bastard! Had I known he had her taken after I went with him, I would have torn him apart with my bare hands! So don't start calling me worthless trash, you god damn brat! His breathing was heavy as he stared at the dark-haired girl. The scars on his arms and body seemed to glow a little bit, steam rising from each one.

With Vincent's help, she got to her feet. Hana stumbled forward at first and when he tried to catch her, she waved him off. She needed to do this on her own. Hey, she started, completely ignored, Hey. That is enough, both of you. Hana stood between them with her arms extended. Her legs trembled, but she had to face them. This was a dangerous situation and if she didn't stop them, they would destroy each other. She looked to Sam first. I don't agree with everything Hay Sun said, you're not trash, but you know most of it was right. We had the same fight in Hell. You can't trust the Dark Angels, ever. Hana turned to Hay Sun, her arms still up between the two of them, Hay Sun... There was a whole mixture of things she wanted to say to the girl, but didn't know where to start. Hay Sun hadn't been to Hell, but she looked like it. She dropped her arms and wrapped them around the girl's neck in an embrace. Thank you. I'm sorry if I worried you. Thank you for coming to find me and for standing up for me. We've been through a lot together and I appreciate everything you've done for me.

She pulled away, letting her hands slide down to Hay Sun's and giving them a squeeze. You've been so strong and brave Hay Sun White. You can rest easy now. Ariel is safe. We're safe. Soon everyone will be together again. We all appreciate how hard you've been fighting for us. Hugging an angry Hay Sun once, was risky; twice, was deadly. She pulled the girl in a second time and gave her a kiss on the cheek. You don't have to be so angry anymore, she whispered. Hana disentangled herself from the girl and backed into Samuel. There's no reason for all of us to be fighting one another. We have to stand together. If we start tearing each other apart, the Dark Angels will win. We can't let that happen.

Her heart was racing and she felt tired all over again. She leaned into Sam for support and one of her hands rested on her waist. She felt it. There was a small smile on her lips as she looked at the others.

Hey, I had no idea that they would take her, alright! Those bastards did that behind my back!

Hay Sun clicked her tongue loudly and it sounded like the snapping of a thick tree branch.

I'll admit that what I did was stupid, but you don't have to get in my face about this! If you want to blame someone for all of this, blame that damned chicken winged bastard! Had I known he had her taken after I went with him, I would have torn him apart with my bare hands! So don't start calling me worthless trash, you goddamn brat!

She huffed a sigh and rolled her eyes. ❝Oh, spare me your pathetic excuses, Samuel.❞ she hissed back, stomping a foot forward. ❝It would be a hell of a lot easier for me to blame that piece of shit Danel for this because yeah, he's caused a lot of trouble – but you know what? You didn't have to go with him, you should have known better that it was a fucking dumb-as-shit idea to go off with him. I don't give a damn what he offered you.

Her good hand ran through her dark hair with frustration. ❝Jesus fucking christ . . .❞ she murmured, feeling the tears coming on again. ❝I have to get in your face about this because it was fucking stupid, and how do we – How do I know you're not going to do this again? Hana almost died, and you wouldn't have even known. Leaving in the middle of the night, no words, no nothing, and she just happens to disappear? Do you think that was an accident?

Dumbass, dumbass, dumbass! I can't believe I trusted you!❞ She tried to bring up both hands to rub her temples, but flinched again when her left hand did nothing but remain limp. Just as she was about to pull through with her resolve, Red's voice joined the fray and broke through her insanity-clouded mind. Hay Sun was on the verge of shooting finger-hellfire at her because the burst of vibrant ( but dirty ) red hair was just a screaming target, but Uriel seemed to be holding her back.

With boiling blood, she watched Red tell Samuel things she didn't even care to hear about his stupidass-self, and then . . . and then she turned to her.

Hay Sun . . .❞ she started tentatively.

Butterflies of anger, embarrassment, and worry exploded in her stomach as she gnawed on her bottom lip. ❝Don't you – . . .❞ she started, but then she was enveloped in a hug that reminded her of arriving in London.

Thank you. I'm sorry if I worried you. Thank you for coming to find me and for standing up for me. We've been through a lot together and I appreciate everything you've done for me.❞ Hay Sun was suddenly putty in Hana's hands as she stubbornly fought back the tears that seemed to be constantly threatening her today. With a wobbly bottom lip, she clicked her tongue more gently this time.

She was still angry. Beyond angry. Livid, even, but even though Hana's red hair made her a walking target, Hay Sun couldn't bring herself to do anything. ❝You've been so strong and brave Hay Sun White. You can rest easy now. Ariel is safe. We're safe. Soon everyone will be together again. We all appreciate how hard you've been fighting for us.❞ She could only feel one of her squeezed hands.

Her blue eyes widened with many emotions when she was hugged a second time. What did Red think she was, some sort of goddamned sap?! Some sort of porcelain doll that needed to be taken care of whenever it was cracked? She was just fine as she was. Cracked and glued. Ready to fight. Ready to kill. Seventeen-years-old and a killing machine – Hay Sun White was just fi – . . .

One kiss on the cheek. ❝You don't have to be so angry anymore.

Baffled, bewildered, stunned, completely floored, Hay Sun didn't realize that Hana wasn't hugging her anymore.

She didn't register whatever was said after that. ❝I – . . .❞ Her voice was raspy. She numbly felt around for the phone Chang had given her. ❝Jun Tae.❞ she choked out, as if that were enough explanation, and then spun sharply on her heel and sprinted away.

What was that even? Hay Sun didn't know the meaning of that.

You don't have to be so angry anymore.

LEON WAS SITTING ON THE GROUND THROWING ROCKS AGAINST A TREE. HE WAS FAR ENOUGH AWAY FROM THE OTHERS THAT NONE OF THEM COULD SEE HIM, BUT JUST CLOSE ENOUGH WHERE HE COULD STILL HEAR HAY SUN SHOUTING PROFANITIES AT SAMUEL. HE SIGHED. ONE OF THE ROCKS WENT THROUGH THE TRUNK OF THE TREE, LEAVING A CLEAN HOLE FROM END TO END. HE GRIMACED AT THE SIGHT OF THE DAMAGED TREE AND DROPPED THE REST OF THE STONES ONTO THE GROUND. CONTEGO HUMMED WITH LIFE AGAINST HIS CHEST, BUT HE DIDN'T BOTHER TOUCHING IT. HE KNOCKED THE BACK OF HIS HEAD LIGHTLY AGAINST THE TREE BEHIND HIM.

HE POINTED HIS FINGERS AT A BLADE OF GRASS ON THE GROUND AND SNAPPED. THE BLADE COMBUSTED AND A SMALL FLAME BURNED BESIDE HIM. LEON DIDN'T USE FIRE VERY OFTEN, MOSTLY BECAUSE HIS FIRE ABILITIES WEREN'T OFFENSIVE. THE FIRES IN A HEARTH BURNED WARM AND BRIGHT, INVITINGLY. THEY WERE MEANT TO COMFORT AND STRENGTHEN, NOT DESTROY. THE GOLDEN FLAMES LAPPED AT THE GRASS AND HE BLEW THEM OUT. IT HAD GROWN QUIET. HAY SUN MUST HAVE STOPPED SHOUTING. HE LEANED INTO THE TREE AND STARED UP AT THE CLEAR BLUE SKY.

SHE WAS UPSET BECAUSE OF HIM. HE COULDN'T BEAR THE THOUGHT OF CAUSING HER DISTRESS LIKE THIS. IF LEON HADN'T BROUGHT HER TO MEXICO, THEN SHE MIGHT NOT HAVE GOTTEN INVOLVED. THERE WAS A POSSIBILITY -- SLIM, BUT STILL A POSSIBILITY -- THAT SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN OVERLOOKED AND HER LIFE COULD HAVE CONTINUED PER USUAL. HE RIPPED HER AWAY FROM HER FRIENDS AND FATHER. HE BROUGHT HER TO MEXICO. HE BURDENED HER FOR WEEKS AS SHE SEARCHED THE GLOBE FOR HIM AFTER HE FELL. HE WAS THE REASON SHE LOOKED SO BROKEN. AS MUCH AS THE DARK ANGELS MIGHT HAVE DONE TO HER SO FAR, IT WAS ALL BROUGHT ON BY HIM AND LEON COULDN'T HELP BUT BLAME HIMSELF. HE WAS THE ONE TO BLAME.

CONTEGO BLAZED AGAINST HIS CHEST AND HE RIPPED THE CORD FROM AROUND HIS NECK. IT SHIFTED INTO HIS SWORD AND LEON STABBED IT INTO THE GROUND BESIDE HIM. THE WAND WAS DIRECTLY LINKED WITH HIS EMOTIONS -- THAT'S HOW IT MANAGED TO HELP HIM WHILE HIS MEMORIES WERE GONE. HE WASN'T IN THE MOOD TO DEAL WITH HIS PARTNER. A SPIRAL OF GOLDEN FLAMES WRAPPED AROUND THE BLADE PROTRUDING FROM THE GROUND AND HE LOOKED AWAY.

Nothing had happened during the time that Elsie slept. Andela felt like Elsie wasn't in the right mind to train with her at the moment. As being intertwine with a human, especially this one, Andela had memories that were not hers embedded in her mind. Some were pleasant, and some were not. And those that were not had burned deeply within the Fallen as much as it was burned into Elsie. Elsie had been milling around for nearly all morning, not even pulling out her creative writing prompt book to work on or her laptop to do homework. She was just floating around, showered, ate some breakfast, but was staring mindlessly into space for a good few hours. Andela just had enough of this.

"Elsie Malone. You will get up right now and march down to the lobby and greet my brother like a warrior." Elsie groaned and rubbed her forehead, not so thrilled with it. "Stop feeling sorry for yourself, mortal. Wallowing around in sorrow is not becoming of you. You are outgoing, you are kind. You will get out of this room right now and go down and greet Will, or so help me I will set your whole body aflame... You will feel it, believe me."

"Alright already," Elsie muttered under her breath and pushed herself to stand up. Having a voice in the back of her mind was getting really annoying. It was as if she had turned into the Blue Beetle. At least her voice didn't tell her to incinerate everyone, it was just threatening to incinerate herself.

"I was not going to incinerate you," Andela miffed. Elsie sighed out under her breath and picked up her backpack, slinging it over one shoulder. Almost getting cold feet again, Elsie pushed herself to leave the room and walked downstairs. Soon she was at the lobby, glancing around worriedly. She really didn't want to face Will again after that first day, but by the sound of things, it went well. She spotted the little boy looking man and felt anxiety swell inside of her. "Elsie, you will not go back to your room. You will not leave this lobby. You are staying put." Not wanting to fight the Fallen within her, Elsie mustered some courage and walked over to Will. "Hey Will," Elsie hesitantly called out, waving at him. She sat a good distance from him on a couch that was set in front of the chair. She didn't want him screaming for mother again because of her. She cleared her throat. "How are you?"

Lu sat with her feet dipped in the Phlegethon. The river's flames lapped at her toes and her miniature wings flapped behind her back. Her blackened eye scanned the lands as demons roamed about. None would dare mess with her -- most feared, the rest were wary. Nails dug into the earth and her hair floated off her shoulders. Alistair Grey was going to die. Everyone was going to die. They would all pay for humiliating her. This was the last straw. She would start with the easiest target.

Temeluchas rose to her feet and blinked. When she opened her eyes, she was standing in the operating room, hovering over Jehoel's mutilated figure. A dark grin spread across her face as he lay there helpless and barely alive. She held out her wrist and a knife appeared in her hand. The glimmering black blade stuck out menacingly and she pointed it downwards. Lu slipped off the ring, placing it in her pocket, and let the tip of the knife graze Jehoel's heart. "'Ello Pet. Time for you to say goodbye." She ran the blade through his heart; then slit his throat and wrist. Lu watched at the little bit of holy blood left in his body drained out. His eyes were locked onto hers and she smiled wider went the life left them.

She flipped the blade in her hand. Who's next? To continue in Hell, or move to the surface? Her jagged teeth bit down on her bottom lip and she walked out of the Operating Room barefoot. She would destroy Mid - World. Their damnation would be because of her. It would be beautiful and no one could call her a failure then. No one would call her a failure ever. There would be no one left to judge or mock her. Lucifer would have no reason to doubt her capabilities. Everything would be hers.

Lu stood in front of the Training Room doors, her eyes bugging out of her face. She could hear the sounds of snarling from demons and grunts from the others fighting them. So beautiful. Everyone would burn -- here, there, everywhere. Something snapped in mind. Her fingers became itchy with anticipation. She curled them, ready to start the Training Room on fire. She was going too. Everyone in there would d --

"Momma Lu?"

She turned to see Mali standing in front of her. Her brow twitched and a smile spread across her face. "Mali, dear, how are you?"

The girl had grown so much. She was becoming quite accomplished. "Fine. Are you okay? You look off."

Lu nodded her head slowly and stroked the girl's hair with her hand. "Just wonderful. You are my greatest endeavor dear. Remember that." The girl looked confused, but nodded her head before walking into the training room. She turned away from the room and disappeared down the hall.

Thought all the inner groans that he had due to his thoughts, a voice had managed to capture his attention and immediately made him open his eyes. Raising an eyebrow he stared up at a face that he didn't see yesterday, but was all to familiar to him from the other day before. "Ah yes...your Elsie" William said as he stared at her. Her discussion about the whole entire scenario was far to blunt that it was obvious that he would run away, but he couldn't hate the girl or anything, no he felt some sort of kinship from her or something.

Closing his eyes he brought his fist up to his mouth and cleared his throat "errr...yeah sorry about my uncouth reaction the other day...it was...immature..." Will said rising up to his feet. He still held some shame in the technique he used to get away and now he really held some regret in doing so. If he knew he would encounter these weird people he would have never done something like that in the slightest.

Opening his eyes he walked up to the girl and raised an eyebrow as he noticed her nervous expression. Why was she nervous? it was one thing that Joslyn was nervous but if the whole entire group was a nervous train-wreck then he definitely did not want to be a part of this disaster. Regardless, Will put his hands on his hips and crouched slightly forward at the girl with his eyes narrowed all child-like "Alright, why are you so nervous" Will said.

Elsie watched as Will stood and then came over to her. Oh, he didn't seem so weirded out by her. How strange... It was like she was seeing a completely new and different person. He apologized for what had happened a few days ago and then he seemed to stare at her for a moment. He put his hands on his hips and then leaned in sort of close, but kept his distance, which made Elsie even more agitated.

"Alright, why are you so nervous"

"Um, why?" Elsie's eyes shifted away from Will's childlike ones, choosing to look at a vase that was close by. Oh that vase looked so lovely with its pale-greeness and fake flowers protruding out of it. "I thought I would scare you away again... I mean, the way you reacted, I felt like I was..." She sighed, not finding the right words. Kai was much easier to talk to than this guy. She wanted to say that she felt like she had no confidence in herself, that she was the new person and because she was new, she felt looked down on. And because she made Will run away, she felt as if she wasn't reliable for anyone. But she didn't want to tell all of that to someone she barely new. She could ramble on forever in her head, but that would only make her feel sad and more lonely. She found herself wishing back the old life she had weeks ago before all this; traveling around, writing books, not having to talk to barely anyone or worry about having a social life because how much she moved around. She felt better not being around so many people and having to get to know them. People were dumb and cruel.

Clearing her throat as well, Elsie forced herself to look at Will and gave a pleasant smile. "I guess there's no reason to be so nervous now... I heard you talked to Joslyn yesterday. She's a really sweet girl." Get the focus off of her, that seemed like a good goal right now.

DAY: 54 - 3/5 | DATE: November 14th, 2013 [Thursday] | LOCATION: Forest in Stanley, Falkland Island

The asian girl sighed and rolled her eyes at his response, clearly dissatisfied by it. Oh, spare me your pathetic excuses, Samuel. she hissed back, stomping a foot forward. It would be a hell of a lot easier for me to blame that piece of shit Danel for this because yeah, he's caused a lot of trouble – but you know what? You didn't have to go with him, you should have known better that it was a fucking dumb-as-shit idea to go off with him. I don't give a damn what he offered you.

Her good hand ran through her dark hair with frustration. Jesus fucking christ . . . she murmured. I have to get in your face about this because it was fucking stupid, and how do we – How do I know you're not going to do this again? Hana almost died, and you wouldn't have even known. Leaving in the middle of the night, no words, no nothing, and she just happens to disappear? Do you think that was an accident?

Dumbass, dumbass, dumbass! I can't believe I trusted you! Each and everyone of her words stung. It was like a knife being plunged deeper and deeper into his chest. And alongside each cut, his blood boiled even more. Silently, he stood there, taking each and every word, each insult. He clenched his fists so tightly that his untrimmed nails dug into the flesh of his palm, drawing some blood.

Hey, she started, suddenly cutting in. Hey. That is enough, both of you. Hana stood between them with her arms extended. Her legs trembled, but continued on even so. She looked to Sam first. I don't agree with everything Hay Sun said, you're not trash, but you know most of it was right. We had the same fight in Hell. You can't trust the Dark Angels, ever. Hana turned to Hay Sun, her arms still up between the two of them, Hay Sun... The red-haired girl seemed lost in thought as she looked to the other girl.

Don't you – . . . Hay Sun started. However, Hana quickly dropped her arms and wrapped them around the girl's neck in an embrace.

She pulled the girl in a second time and gave her a kiss on the cheek. The she seemed to whisper something into her ear that really got to her. Hana disentangled herself from the girl and backed into Samuel. There's no reason for all of us to be fighting one another. We have to stand together. If we start tearing each other apart, the Dark Angels will win. We can't let that happen.

Suddenly, Hay Sun bolted off in some other direction. At that point, he didn't give a damn where the hell she ran off. He was in an absolutely horrible mood. His anger was peaking as Hana leaned up against him for support. This was bad, his urge to destroy was getting to the point where he needed to act on it. He wouldn't be able to contain it for much longer. After letting her get used to standing up, Sam started to walk in the opposite way of where Hay Sun went.

Sam, where are you going? The red-haired girl asked him.

"Blow off steam..." He said harshly back at her, not even bothering to look. The furious man just continued to walk and walk. After a good while of walking, he figured he got far away enough to start acting on his anger. He slammed his fist into a nearby tree, causing it to fall over. After it crashed to the ground, he let loose a cry of fury. His emotions were really getting to him. Hearing what Hay Sun said reminded him of just how much he hated himself. Another punch, another tree fell down.

After felling a few more trees, he fell to his knees and stared at his own hands. His knuckles were bloody from hitting those trees with extreme force. Looking at his own hands, which were only capable of destruction, he wished that he could just be able to use them for something else. Something that could help people, not just hurt them. Be able to restore, not just destroy. As much as he couldn't stand some of the people in their group, he was really envious of them.

"I won't deny that my powers can only bring harm," the dark angel chimed in. "But I can assure you that with proper training, you'll be able to keep from pointlessly destroying."

"What's this all of a sudden, are you showing concern?"

"To a certain degree. I really hate seeing people like this, all depressed and what not. It gets on my nerves." Abaddon stated dismissively.

"I just... Don't want to hurt anyone unintentionally. Especially not Hana." The large man lay down on his back, staring straight up into the sky.

"Then we'll need to train. I have a lot in store for you." Silence fell between them as Sam continued to watch the skies. "You know, believe it or not, I actually do care for Xathanael. It may not be the same way you do, but I care nonetheless. To be honest, she was far more beautiful before. Nothing could compare, but her humanity muddied up that beauty."

"Why are you telling me this?" There was no possible reason he could think of for why he was saying any of that.

"Because, kid, you're a lot like me."
