Anna watched the others silently as she waited for her brother to return. As time passed she began to wonder if he would even come back from wherever he left to and she was already too tired to go out and search for him. Sighing, the girl laid back on her bed and stared up at the ceiling. She thought about trying to talk to the others but with how Soren was acting putting her in not such good of a mood, she knew she would not be very fun to talk to. Anna closed her eyes, hoping to just take a nap, since it wasn't late enough for her to really turn in, until her brother returned. She soon fell asleep anyways before Cal even left the room. Of course, if she had been awake to see Cal leave, she would have joined Mali in teasing her.

Soren on the other hand had been spending the last couple of hours in the training room. He visited it before but did not see the point in staying there to practice. It didn't feel any different to him than any other place. Other than a name he saw no purpose for it until he found that he had outgrown any the mirror room. Luckily, no one seemed to have been there to notice the damage he had done to it. At least not yet. He leaned against a wall to take a short break, looking over at the entrance to stare at the strands of mist barring anyone else from entering without the use of force. Soren did not want anyone just walking in after him, he needed this time to himself.

He took in a deep breath and leaned his head back, digging a hand into his pocket to pull out a shard of glass from the mirror he had broken. It was sharp but did not cut his skin. As he turned it over he wondered if it, even it its broken state, had the power of a complete mirror. That was the only reason he kept it. Soren closed his eyes and tried to focus on something he wanted to see. When he opened his eyes the same fog as before covered the mirror, obscuring whatever it was supposed to show him.

"...that's what you need to focus on. Not what triggered your abilities in the first place. Power comes from understanding, not emotion."

This voice was so much less...aggressive than the first voice he had heard. It was distant yet so familiar to him. Whoever this was, whatever this man was speaking of, even out of context, connected with him in such a way he couldn't explain. Soren could only wonder if he should have known who this person was and even if he had heard the voice before he had never met this man. The fog vanished as quickly as it came. "It comes from...understanding, not emotion." If this was true, was using his anger to fuel his power wrong? As the mist began to swirl around his arm Soren stared at his own reflection in the broken shard. The more he thought about it, the stupider he felt. This whole time he had been allowing his hatred, his rage, guide him without any thought to what truly could make him strong. Whether or not this man was right, he gave him something to think about.

Soren stood up and clenched his fist, taking in a deep breath as he did his best to let all the anger he felt subside. It was easier said than done. Once his mind was clear, for the most part at least, Soren drew his fist back and thrust it outwards. The mist followed through with his punch and did not stop at his fist as it continued to roll forwards before colliding into the opposing wall with explosive force. It dissipated along with even the mist Soren had been using to keep the entrance sealed. He took another deep breath as he tried to steady himself. "That was...new." He gave himself a few moments to regain his composure and catch his breath before doing it once more. And again...and again... He continued to throw punch after punch, allowing the mist to flow with his arm like an extension to his body. The first few tries were met with varying results. Sometimes the mist went out in a weak puff and sometimes they were violent and uncontrolled but the longer he did this the more consistent it was and the longer he continued the more time he needed to rest in between several bursts of power.

"I just thought I'd come check on you. You've kind of got everyone worrying these last few days. You're always in here training and you seem way more agitated than before."

Soren immediately froze mid-strike, leaving a trail of mist behind his arm that was meant to be so much more. He stared at Cal with what could only be described as a stupid blank stare. As he tried to gain some composure his cheeks burned from either exhaustion or something else. Maybe it was a good thing she interrupted him. His body was sore and until she barged in he hadn't noticed that it was starting to get hard to just stand. "Um..." Was he really that angry? No, of course he was. He knew it too. "Sorry..." He muttered, keeping his head turned away from Cal. If he didn't look at her, maybe the burning sensation would go away. He glanced her way, hoping that maybe he was really just hallucinating. Going crazy was the better alternative to having Cal walk in on his training.

Nope. She was there all right. "I didn't worry you, did I?" No, of course not. If anything, Anna probably set Cal up to this. Why would Cal care about his attitude if just a few days ago they had not been getting along. "Um..." Once more, he was at a loss for words. Was he supposed to say something nice in return for her checking up on him? "You look..." Nice? No, he didn't want to say that. Not that Cal didn't but-Well, no other words came to mind so, "...nice. I'm sorry. I'm don't know what I should be saying. I don't know if it's good that you came to check up on me."

Soren turned to her looking surprised and red in the face. He must have been having quite a workout. He didn't reply until she was completely finished talking, but even still, he seemed to disoriented to have much to say. "Um... Sorry..." He muttered, keeping his head turned away from Cal. When Soren glanced her way again, just smiled at him.

"It's fine. You don't have to apologize." she assured him.

"I didn't worry you, did I?" he asked her. For some reason, that made her blush and she looked away, unable to meet his gaze. Of course she was worried. They were all a family.

"Well, yeah, I mean ... It's like you said. We have to look out for each other." Cal lifted her red eyes and gave him another smile.

"Um..." he stammered. "You look..." Soren trailed off. Cal cocked a brow and really hoped he wouldn't say 'nice.' The last time he tried to tell her she looked a certain way, he said 'nice.' Something about being told she looked nice just seemed so blah and unsatisfying. "...nice." Figures. "I'm sorry. I'm don't know what I should be saying. I don't know if it's good that you came to check up on me."

Cal sighed and placed a hand on Soren's arm. "It just seemed like the right thing to do. As for looks, you look really tired. You shouldn't overexert yourself." she chided. Cal gave his arm a slight tug and she turned them towards the door. "You should rest Soren. If you want, maybe tomorrow we can train together. I haven't really been able to do any of what you just did yet. Mali and Anna can join us. Apparently Mali is getting really good and wants to rub it in your face or something. She's been really competitive ever since she came back." The corners of her lips tugged into a bright smile and she lead him out of the training room.

A part of Jun Tae didn't know what on earth he was thinking, but the other part was completely charged by his hurt pride because of Taekwoon and his stinging words.

When Lauren sat back down, he was still thinking of a song to sing and trying not to think of that it was in public and that others would hear him. Just when he was going to open his mouth, his phone vibrated in his pocket and he looked at it again. His eyes widened upon seeing the messages and he clamped his mouth shut once more.

I . . . he started, unsure of what to say. Sorry. Some other time. I promise.

He quickly stood up from the table, internally bit his lip, looked around, and then headed away to his room.

When getting in, he checked his phone again.

Rubbing his forehead, Jun Tae collapsed on his bed and thoughts rushed through his mind. How easy would it be to readjust to his old life once all of this was over? The heavy thoughts fell on his eyelids to close them and they didn't open again.

    Joslyn Taylor Jones
    DAY: 53 - 5/5 | DATE: November 13th, 2013 [Wednesday] | LOCATION: Hotel in Taupo, New Zealand

"Hmm yes, your friend Elise already told me your name but I still appreciate being introduced like this. As you know my name is William...pleasure to meet you Joslyn" Will said giving her a nod before turning away. "well then as much fun as this is I'd best head home" William said turning away raising his hand in farewell "I shall meet you here tomorrow so don't fret and think I am ditching" William said as he walked off with a final wave.

"O-oh, okay! B-bye!" The girl said waving back.

"You know, for being so little, he sure acts mature." Azazel commented.

    "You think so?"

"Definitely. I'm not sure if it's the angel's influence or not, though." It seemed like she was wracking her brain over it.

"Well, alright then." Her stomach growled loudly once more.

The fallen angel giggled at the sound. "You should go get something to eat, honey."

"Okay..." The albino teen said as she laughed in an embarrassed manner. Her face was a bright red color as she went to get her food.

After having a nice, filling meal, she made her way back to her room. It was definitely comforting to know that Will would be joining them. When she thought about it, she started to wonder about something, humming.

    "What's the matter?"

"Well, I just thought it'd be strange having a little kid with us. I mean, we're constantly in danger, right? The others might not be so keen on having such a small boy in the group."

"You're right about that." The angel said in thought. "Well, we need everyone we can get if we want to succeed. We may need to have his training be a priority so that he can at the very least survive."

"Maybe we can talk to Leo about training." The girl remembered that Leo was the one who wanted to train her. "Oh yeah, we need to talk to him about training again..."

"Well, hopefully now with things hopefully calming down, there will be more time for that." Azazel said reassuringly.

"Yeah... Hopefully." The young woman said with a yawn.

"At any rate, you should go to sleep, honey~"

    "Okay. Good night, Azazel~"

"Good night." The albino lay her head down on the pillow by her side and quickly fell asleep.

The flight was boring, but a part of Hay Sun was only too glad that Uriel pulled his sleeping trick on Pretty Boy. He suited her far better when he was sleeping peacefully than when he was being . . . strangely clingy. It was nice to know he was safe, alive. Well. Healthy. Okay.

Despite Uriel's reassurances, she didn't know if he would really be useful in battle or not, and that worried her. It would be better to just take him back to France to stay with her dad, but they were already almost to South America.

Upon trying to flex her fingers like she normally did when she was thinking, Hay Sun's attention alertly turned to her left hand. What was she going to do about it? It was dead. Useless. She couldn't feel it. Now she was at least two times weaker because of that; what good was her right hand? She wasn't ambidextrous either, though that really would have been convenient if she had kept training herself to be in the past.

As her eyes lilted closed, she came to a drastic resolution. If her hand wasn't better by the time they got to the islands . . .

Soren shifted slightly as Cal tugged on his arm, unused to anyone outside of his sister doing that. He was surprised she was actually worried about him. Cal even took his words to heart apparently. They had to stick together. Though the blonde probably thought "they" included the adults as well. "I didn't know Mali was the bragging type." Soren muttered. "It's not so hard to do actually. You just..." He wanted to tell Cal how he could do what he had just been doing, there did not seem to be any words for it. Maybe Anna could have explained but she wasn't the one who was able to do it. "Well maybe I can show you tomorrow."

As she led him out of the room Soren stared at Cal. True, he was tired, but he didn't want to sleep just this second. Taking a moment to calm down was all he needed to get his thoughts together. It just took him a little while before he could form words out of those thoughts. He pulled away from Cal before tugging on the girl's hand to get her to stop just before they reached their room. "Wait a second." Soren wasn't sure why Cal was smiling so much, maybe she thought it was funny catching him off guard like that, or maybe she was just faking it to seem friendly. Whatever it was, he tried not to think too hard about it before he allowed it to influence what he would say next.

"I'll rest. I promise." He assured her just so Cal wouldn't think he was doing this just to put it off. "But..." He sighed. "I'm sorry." He repeated. "I'm not good with words. I'm better at doing not saying." He wasn't stupid, he knew his attempt at a compliment just a few moments earlier did not really do anything for Cal except maybe make her think he was...well, he didn't know the word for that either but it wasn't something good. "Anna thinks I used to pick on you because I like you." Maybe Cal already knew that but he felt like it was something worth saying. His sister already put that on his mind leaving him to think about it while he was alone. "Maybe she's right."

Sheer pain in his chest pierced him as immediately the aristocrat arose from his bed, holding his chest in pain. "God fucking damn it" Alistair grumbled as he looked around noticing he was in the operating room. All sorts of corpses, both humanoid and not were scattered all over the place and in the middle of it was Regulus working away on a corpse as usual "quite the subtle bastard aren'tcha" Alistair said scratching the back of his head with a lazily groan.

"Ah...Alistair...it seems your awake...careful...we do not want that heart of yours to explode on you...I won't be giving you a replacement" Regulus said no even giving Alistair a glance as he continued to work on the body before him.

"Yeah yeah, I'd thank you but I damn well know you wanted to do that for your own interest" Alistair said rising to his feet but noticed a woman holding up a new jacket for Alistair. "hmmm so this is the bitch that went off and shanked me from behind...impressive" Alistair said taking the jacked that belonged to Regulus and swapped the bloodied one for the fresh one. Crossing his arms he stared at her "so this is your little pet...I'm quite surprised the transfusion actually went through" Alistair said cupping the emotionless girls chin and he stared at her "Just a mere doll" Alistair said with a grin before letting it go and took grasp of a little bottle that held the other half of Danel's heart. For now Alistair merely placed the organ away into his pocket so he could return it to Danel.

"Well then...I have no business here...I'm off to sleep and then early training for me" Alistair said with a grin before leaving the room. Eventually the two head off from the room and head to sleep. Regulus went off to his room while Alistair decided to hijack Araquiel's room and sleep there. Azrael was getting restless and training was like an addiction.

Lauren was a bit upset about Leo not being able to sing for her, but she didn't pay too much mind to it. She spent much of the rest of the day just kind of laying around and doing nothing. That seemed to be what the majority of people were doing anyway. When she was done doing nothing for the day, she went to bed.
Adam left the hospital after the visit with Brandon and having a boring conversation with Ahranna. When he got to the hotel he just went to bed.

His efforts were a success! maybe he wasn't so worthless after all! Cal was actually smiling and she even managed to laugh a bit. He sat down on her lap and smiled happily as he listened to her speak about him and his future. The more he heard her speak about it the more excited he grew. When he was bigger things were going to defiantly change. His dad and mama were going to be so proud of his new found strength and he would be able to do so much more!

When he was older Cal would not have to look after him any more, no it was going to be the opposite! he would help Cal out as much as she wanted and she wouldn't be sad. Though Cal was the one he was mostly thinking of, he still did not forget the other children that were like him. When he grew up he was going to try his best and be able to help them as well! everybody would be happy and it would be because of him.

When Cal decided to leave, Caius rested on his bed and snuggled in as he watched her leave. He didn't understand the whole talk about boyfriends and all, but nonetheless he raised his hand up energetically and waved in farewell as she left. With her gone Caius let out a yawn due to the fatigue of the day. He hoped he would be able to grow even faster despite growing at a ridiculous rate already. There was nothing more for him to do except rest his head on his pillow. With that he drifted off to sleep instantly.

Anna thinks I used to pick on you because I like you. Maybe she's right.

Cal didn't get much sleep. She spent the entire night awake, laying in bed. Soren had thoroughly surprised her before they went back into the room and she panicked. He hadn't let go of her hand after he stopped her in the hall. The contact mixed with the things he said had been overwhelming, to say the least. She had to look up to him now. He stood a good four inches taller than her and the height gap was ever - increasing. When she met his dark - eyed gaze looking so open and vulnerable, she wondered if this was how Soren always felt -- at a loss for words. He never seemed good at saying the right thing.

The most she could manage to do was give his hand a light squeeze before letting go. Her cheeks burned and she ran her fingers through her short locks nervously. "Well that's ... nice." she had managed to say. By the angels, she sounded dumb. If he hadn't told her that she looked nice prior to that, some other words might have been possible to come out of her mouth. It made her seem uncaring of his confession. She laughed awkwardly at her mistake and her heart rate quickened. Cal chewed on her bottom lip, trying to think of something else to add, but she was drawing a blank. "Well good night," she told him in a panic. She went to open the door and walk in. Her hand rested on the knob before she turned back around and stood on her tiptoes to give him a kiss on the cheek.

When she pulled away, she rushed inside without another word. She just hoped that the kiss on the cheek might clarify what she was unable to tell him verbally. Cal sighed heavily. Her eyes were tired and she felt sick to her stomach. Did this happen to other people that didn't sleep? She did not care for it. She pulled open the changing divider and decided to dress herself for the day. There was no point in wasting more time laying in bed. Cal put on a pair of jeans and a loose sweater that would be good for working out in the training room. The sweater was kind of big and slid off her shoulder. She had to pull it up and tie the bottom behind her back to make it more form fitting.

She closed the divider and slipped out of the bedroom silently. Cal had no intentions of waking the others, especially Soren. They would join her when they woke. Her bare feet padded lightly against the marble floor as she made her way to first the Weapons Room, followed by the Training Room. A few target dummies stood in the middle of the room and she rolled the handle back and forth between her palms. She hadn't really trained like this before, but she had watched some of the others enough to get the gist of it. Cal rocked on the balls of her feet, and approached one of the targets. She kind of felt silly doing this and really didn't want anyone to watch her. It was good that they were all still asleep. The look on Soren's face was imprinted to the front of her mind and she had to try her hardest to block it out for now. She would try to talk to him about it later. After all, how much more could she screw it up? He probably already didn't think she was interested at all. To be honest, she didn't really know if she was interested in him. [ It wasn't like there were many options to choose from -- Caius was still a little boy and everyone else was an adult. ]

Soren had really started to be a lot nicer to her and she appreciated it, but as for romantic feelings, he hadn't really done anything so far that made her stop and think she might be in love with him. Cal lunged forward, plunging the knife into the target. She ripped it out and repeated. Cal kept doing it over and over again -- lunge, stab, rip; lunge, stab, rip. She tried to make a game of it, to see how many targets she could get in a select amount of time. She weaved between them and only aimed for the spots she had learned were vital to survive. Cal was quick and agile. Her footwork was fast and steady. In her opinion, bare feet were better than shoes no matter what anyone said. Sure, when the time came for battle she would probably be wearing shoes, but for now, she would take advantage of not needing them.

    Lunge, stab, rip.

    Lunge.

    Stab.

    Rip.

Alistair was not one to sleep in, he always had much to do and he did not want to waste time idly by. He wasted enough time with the recovering period for his new heart and he was quite eager to make it up with some new training. The chest hurt like hell, but it would have to do for now, he wouldn't let pain hold him back. He let out a loud yawn as he got out of the room and walked off. With new jacket on he walked towards his next destination.

Scratching the back of his head lazily he let out a sigh as he walked on towards the training room, but paused instantly. To his surprise there was somebody inside the training room before him. Usually Regulus would come in at a later time and Samuel was now gone, so he was quite curious to see just who was it in the training room. The training room was like his second room so he needed to see just who was it that was taking his turf.

He silently opened up the door and entered without a sound and raised an eyebrow as he watched a girl act train. It took him a second but that girl seemed all too familiar and a soft smile crept across his face as he watched her train. He raise his hand and pointed his finger like a gun. With the finger a small blade was shot from the fingertip, soared past the side of Cal's head and hit the head of a dummy i order to get her attention. "My my my, It's been quite the while since I last saw you...you've grown into quite the beautiful girl Cal" Alistair said walking deeper into the training room and crossed his arms.

Cal had been concentrating hard on the slicing and stabbing. Thoughts of Soren had eventually made their way out of her head. The only thing going through her mind was where to stab and when to slice. She didn't even notice the blade fly past her head until it stuck into the dummy's would - be - face. She stopped immediately, her face red and a thin layer of sweat all over her body. When she turned, Cal saw Azrael standing in the doorway and smiled. "My my my, It's been quite the while since I last saw you... You've grown into quite the beautiful girl, Cal." He crossed his arms and approached her.

"It's nice to see you're not dead," she replied cheerfully. Cal stabbed the knife into the face of the dummy, beside Azrael's blade and walked over to him, meeting half way. She gave him a hug and tilted her head to the side as she looked up into his golden eyes. When she pulled away, there was a smirk evident on her face. "You're not so giant anymore. You used to seem so big."

She rolled rolled up the sleeves on her sweater and rocked back on her heels. Azrael had obviously come here to train; it was the only reason anyone came here. She hadn't trained with him before, just studied during class, and the opportunity seemed like a good one. Cal wanted to be stronger too so that Soren didn't feel the need to take it all on on his own. If she could be strong and help him with whatever it was he was keeping to himself, then she wouldn't feel like dead weight. If she were stronger, she could do a better job helping Caius. The poor thing already felt so terrible about himself. She just wanted him to be happy. That didn't seem like so much to ask. Cal looked up to her instructor with serious eyes and straightened her posture. "Will you teach me?"

    "Wakey wakey."

Soren's eyes slowly cracked open to stare at his sister leaning over his bedside, he yawned and rolled over wanting to get back to sleep. "No." He responded quietly. Immediately his sister placed her hand on his shoulder and began to shake him. Soren sighed out and sat up, rubbing his eyes. "What is it?"

    "Good morning to you too."

"It's morning already? I just went to sleep..." Reluctantly Soren pushed himself out of bed.

"What happened last night between you two?"

"Huh?" He blinked at his sister, wondering what she was on about. He scratched his cheek for a moment as he tried to remember what happened. Then it hit him. Soren nervously turned away from his sister, rubbing his cheek where Cal had kissed him last night. What did that really mean anyways? Did that mean Cal liked him? He wanted to ask Anna but she would only tease him about it. "Nothing." He looked around the room, hoping to see Cal but she was already missing from her bed.

"She's not here. I think she left before we woke up." Anna grinned and pushed him on his shoulder playfully. "Something did happen, huh?"

"N-no. I'm going to look for her. " Soren muttered as he started towards the door only to be stopped by Anna stepping in front of him.

"You can't go out like that." Before he could ask her what she meant, Anna reached for his head but rather than smack him she attempted to smooth out his unkempt hair. He frowned at his sister and her ways of making him feel like a small child but even so he did not fight it. "There. Much better." He opened his mouth to thank her when she said, "What will you say to her?"

"Um..." Right, he hadn't even gotten that far. He knew he would likely make a fool out of himself if he went after Cal without thinking. Seeing that he had no answer, Anna took it upon herself to teach him a few things that he couldn't learn through throwing a couple of punches.

He was glad to be out of the room finally, as learning that kind of stuff from Anna was awkward and he was not even sure if he would be able to say the right kind of things to Cal anyways. At least his sister did not come along with him to search for Cal and see what would come of him speaking to her again. If Mali had not been around, the first place he would have checked was the mirror room seeing as how Cal used it to check up on Mali. But where would she go now that Mali was back? Without having to go to another floor, Soren's thoughts came to the training room. That's where she found him so he thought he might find her there this time around. Though he wasn't sure why she would be there. Cal did not seem to be too interested in training...

    "Will you teach me?"

If the question had been directed to him he would have said yes, but as he entered the room he was quickly disappointed to find Alistair there as well. Still, he was glad he found Cal. "Hey Cal. I didn't think I'd find you here." What was she doing training anyways? He could only wonder if it had anything to do with him constantly being away to do so himself. "Now you're sneaking out to train also?" He teased.

She thought he was dead? did she hear about the whole incident at Leon's or maybe she saw the little session he had with Regulus. Either way he smiled as the two of them approached each other gave a quick hug, which felt all too strange for him. She went from a mere child all the way to a teen in such a short moment. At the rate she was going he was soon going to have to call her a granny or something. It was now that he hoped to god that the girl's growth would at least slow down.

When they separated Alistair could only grin and return his smirk with his own "Heh I used to be able to carry you on top of my shoulder...now look at you...ahhhhhhh your making me feel so old" Alistair said with a hearty laughter as he looked over at her and crossed his arms. Her expression had turned serious and Alistair raised an eyebrow at the girl before her sudden request for him to train her was said.

It really shouldn't have been a surprise for him as it was obvious she came here to train, but it still caught him off guard for some odd reason. He let out a chuckle as he stared back down at her "and how can I deny my most diligent and hard working student?" Alistair said raising his right arm as a blade popped out it. "well then shall we begin? I don't have to tell you to not hold back" Alistair said lowering his arm ready to go into the defensive, but stopped instantly the moment he noticed the newcomer appear and chuckled as he noticed Soren. "well then...the training rooms going to be quite the party today" Alistair said.

When Hay Sun woke up again, she was curled against the wall of the jet and their pilot was announcing that they were at the Mount Pleasant Airport and that he was going to call her brother.

Here,❞ Blinking the sleep away from her eyes, she looked at the pilot's hand and saw it had a touchscreen phone in it. ❝Jun Tae had me purchase and modify this for you. Don't lose it.❞ Hearing that it was modified made her eye it warily, but at that point in their situation, Hay Sun thought that maybe, just maybe, Jun Tae knew best.

Her eyes trailed up to his face and she realized that he was one of two pilots she kept seeing. ❝What's your name?❞ she asked.

He frowned and then looked to the side. ❝Chang.❞ he murmured, and she thought that sounded familiar, and that he looked like someone she might have known. ❝You should get going. Jun Tae tells me your on a timetable and there isn't much time left.

Wondering what that meant, Hay Sun slowly nodded and then unwound herself from the chair to wake up the others. ❝It's time for us to get going,❞ she said with a yawn, ❝Seems like there's not time to fuck around, so we need to hurry.

Chang opened the door to the jet to let them out and it seemed like there was a car ( something out of the 90's, a slightly rusted paint job ) waiting for them. If they were short on time, she hoped that it could get them where they were going. The inside was surprisingly spacious and nice, and there was little to no noise from the world outside the doors.

Sometimes, Hay Sun wished that things would actually be whatever the fuck they appeared to be.

After settling in, the phone beeped and she frowned, fiddling with it until she opened a received memo from Jun Tae.

    ————————————————————————————————————————

    Subject: Directions

There isn't much time left. I've already talked to the driver.
You're here to find Hana, Alice, and Samuel. They're somewhere
in a forest. when you get closer you'll have to walk. They're
in danger, so be quick about finding them. Don't waste time.

    ————————————————————————————————————————

Hay Sun was all emergency at once. How the fuck did Red end up all the way in godforsaken South Africa?! And why the fuck was Paco with her? Wasn't it that dumbass' fault that she was gone in the first place? Alice was that chick's wife, right? Laura, Layla . . . Laurie . . . Some name she didn't give two shits about at the moment.

When they were all loaded into the deceiving car, Hay Sun barked at the driver to get on with it, and then they were speeding away from the somehow-familiar Chang and his jet plane.

    Samuel Riviera
    DAY: 54 - 1/5 | DATE: November 14th, 2013 [Thursday] | LOCATION: Forest in Stanley, Falkland Islands

Slowly, Sam started to regain consciousness. There was a dull throbbing sensation as he started to move around, slowly. The leaves underneath his body softly crunched as he began to move. A familiar warmth was coming from his side as he slowly opened his eyes. He groaned as he struggled to lift his head to look at the source.

"Ah, up already?" The voice rang out in his head as he lay his head back down, unable to look. "I'm impressed. I was sure you were going to be out at least a few more days from all of the strain. Perhaps I was wrong about you."

"Ugh, what the hell..." He raised a hand to block the morning light from his eyes. "How many days was I out?"

"Just one. Though I'd be less concerned about yourself and more cautious of the state that woman is in."

"What?" Sam tried raising his head once more and found that Hana was asleep by his side. However, as he looked at her, he could see that she was slowly getting worse and worse. "Shit, this isn't good."

"You'd best start praying that your friends will come and find you soon. I don't think she'll be able to hold out much longer." The Angel of Destruction calmly commented. Sam stayed silent as he sat himself up, shifting the red-haired girl's head to his lap. He slowly brushed the hair out of her face as he worriedly looked over her.

"Dammit... There's nothing I can do about this?"

"Unfortunately for you, no. There isn't. As much as you try, my powers are not meant for healing." The large man held his scarred arm over the girl as he stared at her ailing figure.

"I really hope they find us, and fast..."

There was a tickling against her forehead and Hana's eyes slowly began to flutter open. Her once bright blue eyes were pale and dull as she smiled weakly up at the face hovering over her. She felt as if she had only slept for a few minutes. All she did was shut her eyes and then she was awake again. Sam was awake now too. That was good. He was incredibly resilient. She had not expected to see him again before -- she pushed herself up into a seated position. Hey, you're awake, said Hana softly.

Yeah, I am. Though... He said in a concerned manner, You're not looking too good.

The fever hadn't gone down any and the very act of sitting up was taking a toll on her body, but she wanted to. She already felt pathetic enough for being sick. Hana didn't want them babying her or being forced to lay down all of the time. If she wasn't using the last of her energy to hold up the barrier, the she would probably be in a better stat than she currently was. All that work in Hell mixed with her desperate need to keep these humans alive, was pushing her past her breaking point at an alarming rate. Given her current status, there was no going back this time.

Between the barrier and the Nephilim inside of her, she was all tapped out. Her body was still human, so to keep the angel child from destroying it, she needed to focus, splitting her power reserve in half -- one half for the barrier, the other for the child. If they tried killing it now, she would be too weak to recover and the barrier would fall. She would die before the others arrived, leaving Alice and Samuel exposed. Hana wasn't willing to take that risk.

Hana scooted closer to Samuel and rested her head against his shoulder. The fire crackled in the morning sunlight and everything seemed so peaceful and serene for the first time since all of this began. It was almost hypnotic -- making her never want to leave this ( what she eventually learned was an ) island. A heavy sigh escaped her and she lifted her gaze to look up at the large Mexican Man. He was watching her, with obvious concern for her well - being. Both of the humans seemed to be. Alice was apparently up as well. She shook her head lightly and shut her eyelids. The both of you should relax. I can hold the barrier until the others get here. Everything will be okay, she assured them. You will both be safe. She couldn't let on how bad she was doing. They would make hr take down the barrier and that was not an option.

Are you sure about that? The concern was clear in his voice. I'm more than capable of holding my own in a fight. And besides, you look a little worse for wear. Are you getting that sickness again?

I promise. I'm doing better. There's nothing to worry about. her tone was definite and unwavering. She wanted no more questions asked.

The large man groaned as he worriedly continued to watch the ailing girl in front of him. Alright. But if I can do anything to help, let me know.

She nodded her head against his shoulder and tried to think of something to change the subject. Hana needed to distract him. She waded through the killer migraine for something worth preoccupying his mind. When she landed on what had been plaguing her thoughts the most as of late, she decided that was good enough. I have a confession to make, but you can't tell anyone. she announced softly. Her eyelashes fluttered and she opened her lids to meet Sam's gaze. That's to Abaddon. He's such a gossiper that I wouldn't want the rest of our brethren to know. She paused with a joking smile on her face. Hana curled up closer into Sam's side before continuing. I envy the rest of you. I've never said this out loud before, but it's true. Sometimes, when I'm especially lonely, I wish I was like the rest of you. I wish I would have chosen a different path and the humans whose bodies I inhabit didn't have their souls depart prior to my arrival. Watching the way everyone bonds -- you teach one another, fight with each other, work together -- makes me feel so alone. I wish I had a human to look after as well, no matter the trouble it brings. I start to wonder what the real owners of the bodies I inhabit might be like -- if we would get along or butt heads. The only real company I've had in the last two thousand years has been Azazel, but she slept through most of it.

Now, she doesn't even need my help. Raziel has been doing a much better job at taking care of her. I sort of feel like I've lost my sense of purpose. I turned my back on Paradise for the soul purose of protecting Azazel, and I've failed. Now I have no direction and I just wish I could forget during each cycle, like everyone else. Never being at peace is such a burden ... she trailed off.

Hana felt incredibly tired and a yawn slipped out. She needed to take her own advice and relax. Samuel and Abaddon were awake now. Even though she just woke up a little bit ago, a nap seemed in order. There was a flutter in her stomach that seemed to agree. They could keep watch without her. Hana needed to sleep in order to maintain her strength for the barrier. The others would be here soon. She could feel it. She only hoped to live long enough to see them again. I'm sorry, she apologized, I didn't mean to dump all of that on you. It must be the fever talking. Hana chuckled awkwardly before letting out a yawn. I think I'm gonna just ... lay down ...

She lowered her body and curled up with her head in his lap. Her skin was burning up. Tears wet her face from the migraine. Blood pounded in her ears like a bass drum. None of it mattered. She was too tired to let any of it stop her from sleeping. It took nothing at all for sleep to overcome her ...

Maybe Hay Sun didn't know better, but she had to honestly say that the phone was probably made of some alien techonology because it didn't run electrically, was solar powerd, didnt have any OS she had ever seen before, and . . . Jesus, the phone was probably some organic, nanotech animal.

    Jun Tae was scary sometimes.

Completely focused on the task at hand, Hay Sun made little to no conversation with Italie, Ralvie, or Pretty Boy. Every now and then, she would remember her resolution and flick at her left hand to see if anything about it had changed. There was nothing. But there was no time to worry about that.

The phone beeped and a map was pulled up without anything being done to it. There was a single blinking light with the initials of JTW next to it, and Hay Sun assumed that was where he wanted them to go. The phone, in red, marked their own location and they were relatively close, but she couldn't find any traces of life that wasn't wild. They scaled hills and maneuvered around trees until they started getting closer. The atmosphere started growing more heavy, and eventually they came to a stop.

She looked at the other three boys of the group and then shrugged, slipping the device back into her pocket. ❝. . . Hello?❞ she called out tentatively, and then motioned for Ralvie to come near. If any of them were injured, it'd be a good time for Raphael to work his healing powers. ❝Red, can you . . . Are you here? It's Hay Sun.❞ she tried again.

    . . . Anyone?

Azrael chuckled as he looked down on Cal. "And how can I deny my most diligent and hard working student?" Alistair said raising his right arm as a blade popped out it. "Well then shall we begin? I don't have to tell you to not hold back." Azrael said lowering his arm ready to go into the defensive. She smiled and nodded her head. As Azrael lowered himself, she was able to see directly over his shoulder and her eyes fell on the raven - haired boy that entered the Training Room.

"Hey Cal. I didn't think I'd find you here." Her cheeks burned and she diverted her gaze. "Now you're sneaking out to train also?" He teased.

She cleared her throat nervously and flexed her fingers behind her back. "Oh, hi Soren. Who said anything about sneaking? I was the one that suggested we all train together, after all. It's not my fault you sleep in so late." she teased back. Cal gave him a joking smile before glancing back to Azrael.

"Well then...the training room's going to be quite the party today." he said.

Cal turned around to pull the knife she had been using out of the dummy's face. She spun on her heel and pointed the tip at Soren. "I hope you came prepared. I've been in here for awhile now."
