Angela had just kept quiet. It had all been far too much. Losing all those people; and among them... Sophia. Her best friend. She couldn't shake the thought at all. She noticed Ayer raising an ice barrier. But... Why? Oh. A girl was collapsed over Artan. How awful. Everyone was dying and no one was doing anything. She sighed. "I'm scared..." She said, not meaning for it to be out loud.

Memories came flooding back to her about all the times she got lost as a child. In the store, walking home from school, and more. That was until Luna was born. At that point. She perked up and ended up teaching Luna not to do what she herself had done. No thanks to Julia either. Julia had always hated them for being there and taking attention away from their father.

"We're all scared, sis." Luna said, tryingto comfort Angela. Luna was the youngest, and this wasnt easy for her AT ALL. At this point, she was being a lot better about it than her older sisters. "We'll get out of here, I promise." But by now, she didnt really believe it herself. It sounded like a lie.

Ayer watched to the girls now, overhearing Angela's fear and feeling down about it. He couldn't take putting the girls through this any longer. Quickly grabbing their hands, he pulled the away from the others without another word. There was only one place he could think of to go and it wasn't too far from their current location. No matter what, he had sworn upon himself to protect them. And naturally this was the only place he could think of for them to be safe. It was a shame that he couldn't take everyone with him. But all that mattered now more than anything was the safety of his friends.
"Look, girls. I know this is sudden but I just can't stand seeing you two like this anymore. I know that Kendric guy said we should stay together but I have no idea if the other's even have a place to escape to. So I have this place that no one knows about. Not even the police or anyone would be able to track us. It's the best place I can think of for us to be out of harms way for the time being." He sighed, but still held on their hands tightly as to not lose them and make sure they didn't get hurt.
Quickly looking about, he dashed out into an alleyway, disappearing into the dark shadows. Although he lived in the outer parts of the main town, he had always had a place where he would go to. It wasn't the best kind of place to be or even walk around, but he knew for sure that no one would go looking for them. "You two need to trust me. Please." He looked back to them, smiling as he made his way towards his safe haven.

Grace patted the last of the dirt onto her makeshift grave, sticking her spade into the ground as she wiped her forehead. She stared down for a while, closing her eyes and bowing her head in regret. "I'm really so sorry... I wasn't able to protect you..." She placed her hand to her chest, getting down on her knee and holding on tightly to the chain around her neck. "I couldn't live up to our agreement. It really should of been me who was hit.... It should of... been m-me... I should of the been the one in the back... doing much m-more to help..." She bursted out in tears again, placing her hand to into the ground. "Please forgive me... I tried so hard!"
She trembled terribly before slowly calming herself down, digging her hand into the dirt and kissing the top of her hand. "But believe me when I say this... no matter what... no matter whom I have to take down... I WILL avenge your death. You can count on that... my dear Artan." She stood back up, brushing herself off as she picked up her bag as well as Artan's. Although she had much to carry on her own, she just couldn't leave his valuables alone.
Standing for a second, a small smile spread on her face. "Rest well, for you no longer need to suffer. And remember, I will always love you and keep you in my heart..." That being said, she turned around and dashed off, quickly making her way in the direction she knew she had to go. Even if she didn't live or grow up in Tasnica, she knew the area well from years of study and exploring around with her now deceased friend. But even now, she could never forget the one place that always felt more home than anywhere else.
After making her journey, she finally arrived to the right street, happy to have made it without being spotted. Yet as she turned the corner, her face had suddenly turned cold once she saw who was at the door. It was that idiot Kendric and his gang! What in the world was he doing in such a place?! Did he think that just because Artan was gone that he could just use his house for cover?! This seriously infuriated her, causing her to rush over and push Kendric on the back of his shoulder to get his attention. "Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing here?!" She glared at him, showing that she demanded and answer as soon as possible or she would have to use violence.

Alayah sniffled as she walked behind Rogan, her arms folded, staring at the streets.
Now that the adrenaline rush of the escape had passed, she found herself struggling with more emotions than she had ever dealt with before. She was scared to death that she was going to be hunted down and shot. She was completely torn up about all the people who had died. She was extremely anxious about what was going to happen now that the president had been assassinated. And over all that, she was developing a headache from all the running and crying and fear, and the headache was intensified by her powers, as she kept building up charges and then releasing them as short bursts of electricity. She had never learned discipline like Rogan, she always let her emotions manifest themselves through magic, and now she couldn't stop.
Stumbling slightly over a loose rock, she sniffed again and wrapped her arms around herself even tighter. She just wanted to go home and go to bed.
But she couldn't go home. She knew she couldn't go home. They would search for her there, for her and Rogan. Home wasn't an option.
This train of thought led her to another; what would happen to the rest of the Crowfests? Her mother, her father, their relatives? All the servants who took care of their mansion? Would they be hurt, because of them?
Her thoughts were interrupted when she ran into Rogan; with her head down, as deep in thought as she was, she hadn't noticed him stop.
"W-what?" She whispered. "What is it?"

Rogan put a hand up to silence his sister. "I thought I heard someone running," he whispered back. "It can't be the police, too small, too quiet, and there was only one. Hide, whoever they are, they're coming and we can't be seen."
He and his sister ran to a nearby alleyway and ducked behind some boxes that were there, and as they watched, a girl ran up to a door, in clear view from their hiding place, and knocked on the door. She tapped her foot impatiently as she waited for someone to answer.
Rogan frowned in concentration. He had seen that girl somewhere before, he was sure of it. "Alayah," he whispered. "Was she with us this morning?" Alayah had a way with remembering names and faces, if that girl had been in their original group, Alayah would remember.
Alayah frowned as well, before she nodded. "I n-never caught her name," she said. "But she w-was definitely there."
"Well," Rogan said. "In that case, we're in the same boat. Come on."
Stepping out from behind the boxes, Rogan made his way over to the girl, and Alayah hesitated before following him.
"Don't be afraid," Rogan whispered to the girl when they got near enough. He put his hands up to show they were friends. "My name is Rogan. This is my sister Alayah. We... well, we're more students, from this morning. Can we, um, stick with you for awhile? Power in numbers, and all that."

Alastair leaned against the wall thinking about what the four had wanted in the basement "What do you three know about the teachers?" he asked, he didn't really know anything about the teacher or the other guy, he looked like an officer. But he knew about Sarah, that was a given seeing as she was his mother. But why would she help the other three, her goal was what ever destroyed Tasnica long ago, she had good info on what ever it had been when she killed his father. 'Wait is that it?' Alastair thought to himself 'Are they seeking whatever it was that destroyed Tasnica years ago, did his Sarah hit a brick wall and recruit the others to help her? Or on her search did they recruit her?' Alastair looked at the other three, they need all the info they could get, he would rather tell them later but what he knew could be important and if he died they wouldn't get the info he knew "Hey guys, I know who that woman with the elemental powers was my mother and I don't know if this has anything to do with what those four wanted, but she was a historian trying to find whatever it was that destroyed Tasnica long ago"

Mya hesitantly made her way into the home they barged into. Worse case scenario, the owner will probably put charges on them for trespassing and stuff like that. Not that it should apply to her since she's pretty influential, but she was more concerned about the others. Speaking of being influential...how would she explain this to her parents? They were on a field trip and all of a sudden they were being targeted with some of them already shot dead? not to mention they were also framed for killing the president. Of course they wouldn't believe in that. Sure they might have to agree to keep their social face up, but they wouldn't believe a group of students would kill a president...would they?
Despite all that, they needed help, and fast. Their killers aren't too far behind. Seems like Celeste and Kendric had the same idea as well. She thought of contacting her parents or anyone, in fact, but at this moment, outside help shouldn't be considered since they were now also being targeted by the local police. She looked around. To her relief, everyone was safe as of now.

As Drei continued to run, he was getting progressively tired as he continued to try to keep up with everyone else. Though when he felt a hand on his back, he turned and was relived that it was Zauriel.

"We are as fast as our slowest, correct? So I shall be our slowest as I am fast with my wings...so we shall all be fast!"

    I've got you."

"Thanks." He said. This made him felt better that he'd made friends with him and Mya. Beyond the fact that he'd actually talked to someone else, now he had people who could watch his back. Now that he had Zauriel's support, he could worry less about becoming a hindrance to the others and go back to focusing on making it out of here alive.

Continuing to follow behind Kendric, he was surprised that they headed to a manor like this. Was this Kendric's home? Or a relatives of his? Whoever this palce belong to, maybe they could finally relax a bit.

    "Is Artan with you?"
Well the owner of the house became clear by this, not that he knew who Artan was exactly. The only thing that he could hope was that they would turn them into the police.

    "Help us. We're innocent!"

"P-please, we are- are sorry for intruding. But please sir...! You have to help us...!"

"Y-yes please." He didn't know how well this would go, but from the looks of it luck just might be on there side again.

"Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing here?!"

"Now's not the time for arguing!" Kendric retorted quickly before even realizing it was Grace who had pushed and shouted at him. He pulled her inside Artan's house before shutting the door behind the group. Grace wasn't supposed to be here. He had told her to go with some of the others. Kendric couldn't even remember what group she was supposed to be with. Most likely, it had Artan in it given her attitude...

    "Where's my son?"

Right. There was still Artan's father who had no idea of what happened other than the news reports. "We've been set up. The police opened fire as soon as they saw us..." Even those actions confused Kendric. Why would they open fire without warning? The other students didn't even attack. Perhaps they were deemed too dangerous to be allowed to be taken into custody. Or perhaps the police weren't the ones who fired the first shot. In either case, everyone's lives were still in danger and several of them had already lost their lives. "I'm sorry."

Kendric looked out towards the window. The sky was beginning to darken. It was sunset already. It only felt like the morning was just minutes ago to Kendric however. Artan's father left the entrance hall without another word to, Kendric hoped, inform his wife rather than alert the authorities. "We didn't have any other options, Grace." Kendric muttered lowly. "I think most of the police followed this group. Maybe the others are hiding out in another house. Maybe another group managed to make it to the desert expanse just outside Tasnica."

He folded his arms and took a few steps further into the house, looking around what seemed to be the living room. It was quite large and filled with furniture that went out of style a few decades ago. Oddly, most of it seemed to be wooden. The chairs, the armrests of the couches, even the tables. This was something that only appeared in homes within Wendel. At least, that's what Kendric believed. "I...think we'll be safe here for the night." He paused. "If he lets us stay here..." Kendric didn't have the will to chew out Grace for splitting up with her group. There was too much death today and now that things quieted down for his group, he wanted some time to just take it all in.

Artan's father came back in the room. The sound of a woman crying could be heard upstairs. "I want all of you gone by the morning." This was all he had to say before leaving the group to themselves in the living room.

"I want all of you gone by the morning."

She let out a deep sigh as Artan's father exited the room. She felt her body wobble, feeling like it had turned to gelatin or jellyfish (luckily, it hadn't done that... yet, and hopefully not any time soon). She was loosing her grip on the weapon she just attained. With a couple of rapid blinking, she gripped the handle of her hand-cannon tightly. Her lanky limbs reached forward, scampering over to one of the wooden chairs in the room they were now in. She collapsed on it, hanging her head back and shutting her eyes. She drops the large weapon on the floor beside her. She was so tired.

Her always-alert bunny ears twitched as it picked up on the depression sobbing of a woman from upstairs. Celeste pressed her lips together, her eyebrows furrowing as an even more depressing thought entered her mind. What happened to Artan? Had he died in the chase? People have surely died. Who died again earlier? Those three girls was it? Being shot? Yup. Yup that's how it happened. It just want bang. Bang. BANG.

The exhausted shape shifter bent over as her forehead rested on her knees. Her hands were on her pearl-white bunny ears, folding them to lay flato n her head frustratingly, as if trying to block out the reality of what was happening. Gosh, what was she even thinking? Why did she make herself remember all that awful, morbid event? She felt like bursting into tears and probably vomiting too. Everything was just so wrong. She just wanted to escape. She wanted to go back home. She wanted everything to be alright, but no, that wasn't an option. That wasn't going to be one for a while because apparently, they were criminals now. Stepping out of this safe house (though they weren't so welcomed) could mean stepping into their deathbeds. That was right. She was going to die wasn't she? She was going to die. Just like that. It would go bang. Bang. BANG. Then she'd be dead.

Small whimpers escaped her as she remained hunched forward. Tears weren't flowing out of her eyes even though she felt like breaking down. She just wanted to know what's going on, but asking that would be pointless - none of them knew what was going on. Nothing more than what they already knew, at least. It was the wrong question.

Slowly, she releases the grip she had over her bunny ears, until she was hovering her shaking hands above them. She slowly sat up and while her lip trembled she looked at her other classmates and school mates, "What's going to become of us once we step outside?"

ooc: sorry Marushi I didn't notice until afterwards. But thank you so much for being flexible.
Meara realized nobody had followed her, maybe she wasn't paying as much attention as she had thought. She heard movement within the house, walking down a staircase it seemed, so she waited patiently but still cautious of her surroundings. She heard footsteps behind her albeit soft ones but still footsteps and she uickly turned her head
"Don't be afraid, My name is Rogan. This is my sister Alayah. We... well, we're more students, from this morning. Can we, um, stick with you for awhile? Power in numbers, and all that."
Oh weren't they just in that group a few minutes ago. She recognized the names and luckily could put the faces together with them. She would remember them easily and she smiled, "Hello I am Meara W-" she decided not to say her last name in case people heard. She then turned and spoke, "Yes, you can. I would just be glad not to be alone."
She heard the door slam open and a man with the face of a fox stood in the doorway. She stared for a moment as the face settled in as her familiar friend, "Zeke. Please help us."
The boy who stood at the door had long red hair and a fox-like face, which was why he transformed into a fox so often, he just was a fox. The boy held up his hands and did quick motions with them and then he stopped. Meara growled and then spoke, "Look I understand what could happen but we just need somewhere to be... please Zeke."
He did out the hand motions again, this time with more exaggeration on the words he had previously signed, "We won't be staying long enough for you to get hurt I swear on it."
The boy motioned again before Meara pulled out the folded knife and cut her palm and held the palm out towards him, "You have no need to swear on blood..." she listened to the dogs in his house bark and she giggled slightly, all of the dogs were dogs, why did he like dogs so much she never understood... she expected him to be a cat person.
Zeke accepted her hand and waved everyone in, moving his dogs out of the way. Meara turned over to
Alayah and Rogan and whispered, "Come on, it is okay."

Xane kept running, hoping to make it back to the group before anything might happen. He kept an eye out for any signs of movement around him, as well as listening for any noise that might seem out of place. He might have seemed paranoid, but they were on a run for their lives, and he wasn't sure he wanted to be taking anything by chance and ending up seeing more people shot and killed.

Just as he rounded another corner, he could see he had finally gotten to the block where the rest of them were waiting. He knew he hadn't taken too long, maybe six minutes or so, but he wasn't really keeping track. Xane wasn't really afraid to admit that he had a bad sense of time, and that when he was thinking about a lot, even calmly, time seemed to either slow down or speed up, depending on what he was thinking of in what situation. It was kind of funny how he himself couldn't fully explain how his mind worked.

As he turned a corner in the ally, he found the other students in the same spot, waiting for him still. He was glad nothing happened, which made him ease off a little more, but he still kept a watchful eye, hoping nothing would happen. He canceled his energy and paced over to the group.

"So it looks like it was clear for about 8 blocks, but the problem is I didn't see any sort of living soul. I don't know what's going on, but I've got a really bad feeling. If we're going to move, I'd rather we do it now then wait till later, because if they're not being around has to do with them blocking the exits to the city, we're in hot water."
Xane waited to hear the other's responses, hoping they had the energy to keep moving.

Grace's emotions hadn't change, anger still filling her up from whom was in front of her. How could he use Artan's place as such?! It was his fault as well that he had not made it. It would of been better had she split away from them earlier so her and Artan can worry about fending for themselves. Nothing felt right about this, not one bit.

Yet, she knew that arguing it would be rather pointless, knowing that she had more important things to deal with. Besides, they would be forced to leave by morning as her friend's father had mentioned. This didn't really concern her anyways. She had planned to leave by early dawn. She had quite a few things to deal with before she left and didn't want to waste much more time hanging around these people she either disliked or hardly knew. They just were not worth her time right at that moment, and she could always just seek her vengeance later on when she had completed her current self-mission.

Walking over to the living room, she set down the bags that had began to strain her shoulders. Although she was of Biokinesis magic, she was still achy if she didn't use her magic constantly. She let out a small sigh, stretching out her arm before taking a seat down and relaxing for a moment before she began her work. After all, it would probably end up as an all nighter and she would hardly get much sleep in before she needed to go. Not that she cared much for sleep at a time like this, even if most people would need it for energy. She had been sure to be trained to have good stamina and learn to conserve energy very well.

But as she had heard Celeste's question, she had curiosity growing through her mind now. What in the world was Kendric planning now? Although many others had set him out to be the leader type, she could tell that he really wasn't too certain about what he was doing. In a sense, she had a bit of sorrow for him, having so much pressure put onto him just out of nowhere. And although she didn't want to bother with him, she still knew she wasn't making things any easier for him. She closed her eyes for a moment, thinking over how things had turned out. There was just too much going on for her to hold a grudge for so long. There was no use in such a thing when it was best for them to figure out a way to deal with things. Or at the very least, get them to a safe place while she fought back.

"Look, I apologize for my behavior. I'm just not steady at the moment, for reasons I'm sure you can guess." She stood back up, holding herself as she walked back up to Kendric, looking out the small crack in the window's curtain. "There's so much going on all of a sudden. I know it was cruel for me to part from the group, but I just couldn't leave Artan or have them follow me and cause more deaths. It was much better that I was alone and not just dead weight,"

She pouted a bit, turning back to look at him once more. "But there's just one thing I would like to know. Do you plan to do something about what is happening, or just keep away and hide yourselves as fugitives?"

Zauriel calmed down as Artan's father walked away, demanding that they leave the following morning. The shapeshifter's body was so tense with the suspense of their fate that when he was told that they could only stay the night, it calmed down simply because at least some part of the future was set in stone...no matter how much he hated it. As he relaxed, his body started to revert back to normal...but he wasn't able to finish the process. Small wings -too diminutive to support any kind of flight- were visible from the back, but not the front. His horns shrunk as well, but were still clear amidst his hair. There was even a small, lizard-like tail protruding from his spine. Even if he tried, Zauriel doubt that he could calm his body down enough to appear completely normal. He sighed with sad eyes as he picked up the woman's crying. Here they were, running into a couple's home in the middle of political chaos; a couple that feared for their son's safety and were just told by these young and framed fugitives that their son was dead for no reason. Zauriel attempted to take a step forward, hopefully to comfort Artan's mother, but his legs didn't move. Of course not. Why would his body allow him to comfort the mother of a dead child...a child who he couldn't remember. His eyes were red from quiet tears and Zauriel expected that Artan's mother's would be worse...but why could he not remember Artan? Were the other students so insignificant to the him, aside from Mya, Drei, and Kendric, that he simply didn't bother to learn who they were? And now...now several of them were dead and Zauriel still wasn't sure who they were. Why should he be allowed to protect his friends if he couldn't even REMEMBER his fellow students? Zauriel wanted to ask the others which one was Artan...but couldn't bring himself to do it. Instead, he simply stepped forward and stuck his right hand towards the newcomer (Grace) and said, "My name is Zauriel." He did not answer her question, but he didn't have an answer. He wasn't sure when Kendric became the leader, but Kendric was much more suited for the role than himself. Realizing that he hasn't officially met the other shapeshifter either, Zauriel awkwardly stuck out his left hand in his direction. "My name...it is Zauriel," he told her as well. It was awkward, his standing there with both hands aimed at two separate girls for a handshake. Now was not the time for an introduction, but he would be damned if he didn't get to know everyone. No one else will die unnamed....no. No one else will die at all.

Mya sighed, weighing her options. She-they didn't have a choice. They didn't have much time to stay here. They only had until tomorrow morning. By then, the whole nation will have them branded and the number one enemy of the state, guilty or innocent. She didn't want anyone else falling from false accusations. Whoever was responsible for this would pay...
Mya looked at Celeste and gave her a small smile before hugging her. "It's fine. Don't worry. I have a plan or at least an idea when we can do tomorrow. I'll be sure no one else would die. I swear on it." She gave her another smile before turning back to the group. "Listen guys. You may know my father and my mother. They are both powerful political members of the council. I know they may say in public that we are not to be trusted and all that stuff, but they say it to make sure they as well do not become targets. They wouldn't believe people like us could kill the president. Tomorrow morning, we'll go to my father's home and stay there until we can sort things out and make a plan. He...he'll make sure we're safe." Of course, she was skeptical. What would her father say? She wasn't too sure, but she was confident in him that he wouldn't call them out or reject them.

Berial stood with his mouth agape at Lucas speaking to him that way. Anytime before, his younger brother would've whimpered in a corner while everyone else spoke. His mouth curled into a smirk and he scoffed thinking, His new friend must be working out after all. His eyes fell on Alastair soon after and Berial tried to focus on what he was saying. "What destroyed Tasnica..." He uttered, rubbing his chin in thought. However, he drew up blank. Historical facts were never Berial's strong point and as a result he knew little about the world he inhabited. "I'm not following you. So the teacher's decided to-" He stopped as the group was approached by Xane who had returned from scouting.

A soft 'I told you so' rung in Lucas' head as Xane trotted toward the group. He got up and walked over to listen to what he had to say. Apparently, the town was empty. Which could be good...although it could mean the military had issued some sort of order to stay indoors, making it even harder for the students to pass unnoticed through the streets. He folded his arms and nodded, "You're right, we should move now instead of later," He said while looking over the rest of the group. Nobody appeared too tired, but he couldn't be sure. The running, along with witnessing deaths of fellow students could put them into a shock similar to the one he was in. "If we can get outside of the city's limits to that desert we were told about, we should be safe until all of us can regroup."

It’s just a hypothesis but it’s the only reason Sarah would join anyone” Alastair said to Berial, he hadn’t finished asking his question but it was obvious what he was going to ask. He then looked to Zane and listened to his report and pondered on what should be done next “You are right we should move now but we need to be careful as we do, if we are careless they might find us, but at the same time moving to slow will leave us surrounded in no time” Alastair started walking with a slight limp in his leg “My leg is still hurt from the first fight so I can’t run that much, Berial, Lucas don’t forget what I mentioned about my mother, if you manage to regroup with Kendric and I can’t they need to know everything about our enemy that they can. Also be wary of her, never trust her, she will kill you without a second thought” Alastair said to them ‘Just like my dad’ he added to himself. Alastair thought about the desert that awaited them, normally he would avoid the desert, but most people were under the impression that night time in the desert was easier then day time, but in all of Alastair’s research the night was just as bad as the day. At first sand would retain the heat but as the night goes on it gets colder and colder to the point where people can freeze to death if they aren’t prepared and people’s water supply will became more and more limited, add in that they had no way to insulate heat they might die out in the desert, but that could be said for anything they do right now.

Listening to Alastair, he was particularly a bit visually crossed with him mentioning the tunnels. Couldn't blame him, after all, Poke saw what happened after those teachers shot a student to death. It was a terrible experience, something he never wanted to see or have happen to anyone else again, and the memory shook him until he managed to get himself back to reality. He was about to respond, but stopped. Thinking about it, he was right, scouting ahead was a good idea...After all, it was better most survive than none at all. Besides, Xane probably would've went off anyway no matter what.

"...No objections. C'ya, Xane." He said, turning to him to see him run off from the group. Sighing, he sat down, crossing his arms, and waited. Then Lucas told them all to have faith in him and be more patient. "Yeah..." He said absent-mindedly, trying to avoid thinking of anything related to deaths. How many people would still be alive when the groups met up with each other? Sure, they were all probably smart enough to slip through some situations, but what would happen if they ran in to an enemy? What if someone was waiting there? He shook his head. No, that wouldn't happen, no one even knew where they were going. He got up, and finding nothing else to do, he started pacing around, trying to get the stress out through his legs. "I feel like he should be back by now." He said to the others.

And just as soon as he made the statement, he found Xane coming back to them. "Oh, there you are!" He felt relieved that Xane didn't die, then started listening in on his intel. He frowned when he heard the 'no living soul in the streets' part. "Huh....Weird. Well, I'm not complaining. You're right. we should definitely start moving now." He managed to hear that bit about Alastair's mother being murderous. Wait a minute, wasn't that the teacher I saw in the tunnels?

The good thing was that they were let into the house. Though on the other hand, it was only for one night that they were able to stay here so unless they figured out a plan, it was going to be back to square one for them. He didn't dwell on that too long, instead he took himself a seat. This really was a grim situation that they were in now. No doubt that the parents were experiencing mixed emotions by the news of there son and strangers showing up at there door. After hearing Zauriel introduce himself, he figured that he might as well do the same. "I'm Drei, for anyone who was wondering." That was the best getting that they were going to get from him. After all, he was the quiet puppet boy.

Tomorrow morning, we'll go to my father's home and stay there until we can sort things out and make a plan. He...he'll make sure we're safe."

The first part of what Mya had said was surprising, this just made it better. "I didn't know you had those kinds of connections." Granted he wasn't exactly the king of paying attention to little details. This was probably there best chance at clearing there names. It was something that wouldn't be passed up.

"You children are making things harder than they need to be." Taras, the man who had thrown Kendric around like a rag doll back at the tunnels, the man who had been in charge with protecting Wendel's own president, was standing before Angela, Luna, Zelos, and Ayer. There had been no warning of his sudden appearance. As a powerful Biokinetic his speed was far beyond what normal eyes could see. He had no problem being out in the open. He was one of the "good guys" in the public's point of view. Attacking the children now would merely be seen as protecting the people of Tasnica and its visitors. "Don't you dare run from me, kiddies." He vanished in the blink of an eye, reappearing behind the group to stand just a step behind the two sisters(Angela and Luna). The two did not have time to scream.

Two vehicles came crashing down at both sides of Alayah, Rogan, Julia, and Meara's group. "Not so fast, brats." Nadine landed on the side of one of the now-wrecked vehicles in front of the group having jumped down from a building above. She looked at the bunch of students. Immediately she could tell that these were not the ones who had stolen the stone. There was nothing to be gained here...but she could send a message to the student who had taken what belonged to them. "I've taught you kids better than to steal." She extended her hand in the direction of the students. Julia was lifted off her feet by Nadine's magic."Do me a favor and find the one who took the stone." Before any of the student's could react, there was a sickening snap. Julia went limp and fell to the ground. "Or else I'll have to punish more of you."

Angela and her sister Luna were both on the ground, dead. Taras rubbed his palms together as if he had done nothing more than take out the trash. "We'll be keeping an eye on you kids. Every day that passes without the stone being in our possession, another one of you will die. Do you understand?" He spoke to the remaining two(Zelos and Ayer).

Kendric would have answered Celeste and Grace but something far off took his attention off of what they had said. It was faint but he knew what he felt. He sensed two sources of power peak briefly before vanishing from his "mental radar". One of them was definitely Nadine and the other he was sure to have been Taras. The memory of the man throwing Kendric around like nothing caused him to shiver. He did his best to not visibly show his concern in case the others did not sense it as well. He only hoped that whatever remained of their number would regroup soon. 'I'm sorry everyone.' He clenched his fists, knowing he could have done more to have prevented so many needless deaths.

"Tomorrow morning, we'll go to my father's home and stay there until we can sort things out and make a plan. He...he'll make sure we're safe."

Mya had a plan at least. Something he wasn't fond of as many would still be looking for them. It sounded like it was worth a shot though. He crossed his arms and bit his lip. "No." He simply stated. "We can't all go. What if your father can't help? Or if the police is just waiting there for us?" He paused. "Or worse. Taras is the head of Wendel's military. Nobody would believe our story over his. He'd probably kill a few of us before we even got there." Kendric's last sentence only reminded him of what he sensed just seconds earlier. Was that why Taras and Nadine raised their power for an instant? To kill? He kept this to himself to keep from worrying the others. They needed their sleep. "Zauriel, Celeste, Grace, and Drei can head out of the city tomorrow. I'll go with you," he was referring to Mya, "to your father's place tomorrow in case things go wrong." And this time, he had no intentions of letting more die.

OOC: HoT is out of the RP(hence the slaughter of his characters). As a recap for the groups and who's still alive:

    Group 1
Kendric, Zauriel, Drei, Mya, Grace, and Celeste

    Group 2
    Ayer and Zelos

    Group 3
    Alayah, Rogan, and Meara

    Group 4
Alastair, Poke, Luke, Berial, and Xane.

"But Arch! Group 2 and Group 3 are tiny!" After you(Groups 2 and 3) have your reactions to what's happened, those two groups can meet up and join together. Sorry I haven't posted in so long and for the odd group balancing! But at least group numbers will be nearly even again!

Grace nodded toward Zauriel, shaking his hand as an acceptance towards his greeting. She wasn't in much a mood to be meeting new people or care much to know names in a situation such as this. But she also didn't want to be rude, knowing her manners well. Once finished, she turned her attention to Mya, who had suddenly spoken up about some sort of plan that didn't make much sense. There was no way then could all make it there without being unseen. But just as she was about to comment, she turned to hear Kendric suddenly speak. What he was saying was what was on her own mind, agreeing with him completely. At least until the final words he spoke.

"What in the world are you talking about?!" She shouted suddenly, slamming her fist on the table beside her. "There is no way I'm going off with everyone else to go hide like defenseless children!" What was he thinking, coming up with such a bogus plan such as this?! She wasn't just going to run away and leave any of this unsolved. "Hell, I'm not just gonna stay in the shadows and not do a thing about this! There has to be a much better plan than this. I just won't go with it..."

She began tapping her foot against the ground, her stubbornness coming up all over again. She honestly didn't care how she looked to all the other, selfish or just plain bratty. She just wasn't the type to stay behind in the sidelines, especially after the major loss she had endured earlier in the say. "I can't do as you say. There has to be something I can do to help. As much as helping to protect the others would be a noble thing, it's not what I want to be stuck doing. I'm not even certain that going to our parents is the best option in the first place. If that were the case, I would of gone to my own father long ago rather than coming here. But I didn't for obvious reasons being that he's under protection. Even if I wanted to, I would be killed before I even got to speak to him."

She let out a deep sigh, trying as best as she could in order to calm herself and not speak any more nonsense. "I can't be left doing nothing. I'm not much of a plan maker after all. I prefer to take action. Obviously, Kendric, you have more of a knowledge on what to do or what's best. But if I'm going to be forced to hide, I am just going to part and find my own way. Whether I die or not is my own fault. I'm not putting that on you... but I do ask that you reconsider... at least this time."

Ayer panted heavily, not believing what he had witnessed right before his eyes. His last two friends... Angela and Luna... were gone now. He slammed his hand to his forehead, trying as best as he could to hold the urge back to cry. How could any of this be possible? Taking a few steps back, he shortly after fell to the ground, the words Taras had spoken just vanishing into the air and not reaching his ears. The horror his loss was so great, him never in his life experiencing fear like this.

What was he to do now? He could just allow himself to be killed and leave his friends deaths in vain. How was he to get away from this? Taras was much too fast for them and he had wasted too much energy already. Not that his magic would of been a solution in this case anyways. And what stone was he speaking of?! Would that really help them in order to prevent even more senseless slaughter of students?! All of this was just too much for him to take it at once, and he was more than certain that death was crawling down his back. Could they not be saved?

He turned to look at his friends again, the image of their lifeless bodies burning into his mind. "P-Please.... no... n-no more..." He pleaded unconsciously, not knowing much else what to do. His body was practically frozen, his voice cracked as if he was forcing his words to come out. "We... don't h-have it.... j-just... g-g-go...."

Alayah shrieked and Rogan turned to see one of the attackers, Nadine, appear.
"Not so fast, brats," She said. "I've taught you kids better than to steal."
Without another word, Nadine lifted her hand and Julia was raised from the ground, hovering in thin air.
"Do me a favor and find the one who took the stone." With a sharp pop that could only mean one thing, Julia went limp. She was dead. Nadine continued speaking. "Or else I'll have to punish more of you."
Rogan instinctively turned to glance at Alayah, who was crying now. She had never had much control over her emotions. Rogan took an instant to be grateful that she at least was leaning towards incapacitating grief rather than uncontrollable rage. She was no match for the teacher, if she tried to fight... Rogan shuddered.
"A-alright," He muttered lowly. "Alright. Just don't hurt anyone else. I'll... I'll try to get the stone."
"R-Rogan!?" Alayah demanded, but Rogan pointedly didn't look at her. He was lying, of course, there was no way he would ever give one of their attackers the stone.
Although... what was the significance of the stone after all? It had to be more than a monetary value, else they wouldn't have gone to such lengths to get it back. He would have to do some digging, find out exactly what that stone was and why they needed it. In fact, he knew very little about this entire situation. That worried him. He hated being in the dark. He needed to find out what was going on, why they'd assassinated the president. What they hoped to accomplish. Rogan wasn't much for politics, but he knew there had to be a reason. No one committed a crime of this magnitude without a reason.
Suddenly, a deep curiosity rose up within him, and he looked up at Nadine with a puzzled frown. "Why?" He asked quietly. "Why are you doing this?"
