Mya looked around the streets. Something doesn't seem right. Why are the streets empty? And why are the police on their way...here? She frowned. Usually, police get their orders from the head chief or her father. Even still, why would they be directed here of all places?
"Celeste, Zauriel, Mya, and Drei. You guys are coming with me."
She wasn't really paying attention as she still thought deeply. Hmm...evacuation of street where we are conveniently...police coming to our area...She then snapped a thought in her head. Could it be...they're trying to frame us for this? But it doesn't make sense! Even if they led the police here, it would be illogical to find the president here! She turned back to the group. Having a high social ranking, she could ask the regular police for some information on what's going on. She was gonna ask the group about that idea until she was interrupted.
    BANG!
Her eyes widened as the gunshot rang through her ears as blood splattered on her clothes as a body near her fell to the floor dead. It was another one of them dead. Another one. It wasn't a theory now. They were being picked off by someone. She didn't care. She turned back to the group. "Everyone move north! Don't stop for anything or anyone!" She grabbed both Drei's and Zauriel's arms and ran as fast as she could with Kendric. What's going on? Dad...would you know anything about this?

Zauriel followed the others up the ladder as he forced his ears to extend ever so slightly. His body finally decided to follow along with his wishes and aided him, allowing his eyes to round even more and his pupils to enlarge. With his longer ears and eagle-styled eyes, he looked around and listened closely. The weapon room moved farther below them and he was able to see all -every detail of every weapon, every crack in the wall, the threads of the clothes on his classmates' back- but he could not see the source of this oh, so very helpful voice. Zauriel gave up, allowing his eyes and ears to return to normal (though normal for him still included pointed ears) and scrunched his face in frustration. So this was how a cat felt when the magical red dot disappeared...and just how the angry cat vows revenge against the evil red dot, Zauriel swore to find the magical voice, at least to satisfy his curiosity.

"Finally!" Zauriel called out as he leapt onto the street. His hair ruffled as he spun quickly, spreading his arms. "Oh, fresh air, how I've missed you so! Let's promise to never forsake each for so long again, k?" He mused as the sound of his metal boots clanged against the stone of the street. There was a slight breeze as Zauriel felt the universe agree with him and the young shapeshifter smiled. Perhaps, now it was time for him to allow his magic to flow naturally and allow his body to take the form it wishes. Zauriel smiled at Drei before he focused his eyes on Mya, as she was the one more...intrigued about his shapeshifting. He closed his eyes and smiled as the bones in his torso started to shift. It hurt, but not as much as one would think. He could feel them move as his shoulder blades started to protrude from his back, growing a nervous system and leathery scales as they formed small green wings. His spine followed suit and became a thick, but small tail. His fingernails grew and sharpened, his pupils slightly thinned, his teeth sharpened a bit, and his tongue narrowed. Zauriel considered this his natural form, even if his real form was without all of animal features, this was the form he felt the most free in.

As the others discussed splitting up into groups, Zauriel was torn on the subject. So he stopped caring about it. Instead, Zauriel absentmindedly wandered away slowly, his pointed ears picking up the sound of soldiers nearby. So something was going on. Was this about the attack on the president? Or perhaps about the missing students? Surely, the attack on the president would take priority over a group of missing students, even this one with all of its wonderful individuals, as much as Zauriel wished otherwise. This was clearly an adult matter...so why were they involved? Were they simply the scapegoats that Professor Fey had called them? If so, now that they were free, could they help the authorities with the information that they had...that would make their rescue relevant, right? Zauriel's thoughts were racing and he was unable to expel the unnecessary ones, causing him to scrunch up his face again and grumpily wiggle his nose. He was so caught up in his own head that he didn't catch the group assignments. Zauriel started to spin, his sharp eyes scanning the horizon for the Academy so they could figure out which way to-

Sharp teeth became fangs as Zauriel jerked around.
Long nails turned into claws as he growled.
Round eyes changed to vertical slits as they focused on Mya and Drei.
Small wings and his small tail all grew as his body tensed for danger.
But the biggest change? Inner happiness at the fresh air around him was now utter despair as three bodies hit the ground. Three souls were now one with the universe...but too soon. For what reason were these lives cut short? What could possibly justify endangering young students with their entire lives, bright futures, and unknown potential ahead of them? Zauriel demanded a reason!
As Mya grabbed his and Drei's arms and pulled them away, Zauriel gave one last look at the three bodies whose names he never bothered to remember. While his insides screamed in confusion and his body ached to protect his friends, his cheeks felt tears run down them.

Kendric didn't have time to respond to Alastair. If he stayed still any longer, he would have been next. Even though he didn't give a confirmation, Kendric mentally agreed to head to the fallen city whose name he couldn't even pronounce. It wouldn't be too hard to find a bunch of ruins, would it?

Kendric took Celeste's arm, pulling her to run faster as he looked over at Zauriel, Drei, and Mya. "Come on!" He shouted as he suddenly changed directions, making a hard right to head into an alleyway. It was so instantaneous that the pavement cracked under his own boots, probably causing poor Celeste to stumble. He wouldn't let her fall behind though as he kept in front of his own group. Everyone would have to find their own way out of the city. At least that way they would have a chance.

He slowed his pace to allow the others to catch up, almost forgetting that his own abilities made him faster than them. "Are any of you hurt?" Kendric asked as soon as they lost sight of the soldiers, not stopping their escape. "We'll make it out of this!" He tried to assure them though he wasn't sure how he could make that promise when several of them had already died.

It was all because they were playing the part of scapegoats. They didn't deserve this. As much as he wanted to stop and process what happened, he knew that only meant more would die. 'Keep running, Kendric. We can't mourn if we're dead and we can't make things right if we bite the bullet!'

Off in the distance as fire continued to rain down on the students, another fell to his death. His name was Artan. He was no longer amongst the living.

OOC: Just remember everyone, 10+ lines in your posts. Quoting someone else doesn't count! Also, Artan(controlled by Kanji Tatsumi) is dead.

Sorry the RP hasn't moved forward in awhile. I've been busy. You all have two weeks to post starting from today! 5/19/2013

Alayah shrieked as the sound of gunshots fired off in their direction, still running, she staggered for a few steps as she ducked her head down and closed her eyes. She heard Rogan yelling out as well, and then she heard a scream. She couldn't help herself; she turned and looked back.
The boy who had been running with them fell to the ground, dying. There was blood everywhere, and Alayah let out another small shriek and almost slowed down to go back and help.
The second round of gunfire kept her running, though, and the hysteria and panic she had been trying unsuccessfully to keep from taking control jolted through her, until she was practically teeming with electricity, her hair standing up as well as it could under her hat.
She lost all sense of where she was going, she lost all sense of who was following her; she just ran.

Rogan looked behind when he heard his sister shriek, suddenly certain that she was dead. A moment of "ohmygoshshe'sdeadandit'sallmyfaulthowwillIeverforgivemyselfmomissogoingtokillme" ran through his head before he realized that it wasn't his sister.
A feeling of relief washed through him, followed by a feeling of shame and guilt that he would be happy that it had fallen to the now-dead boy instead of his sister, then a feeling of grief that the boy had had to die at all, finally followed by the realization that the enemy was still firing and they had to keep running.
He hated to leave the boy behind, but he had no choice, so he took off after his sister. There were only four in their group now. Him, Alayah, um... Grace, and Julia. Yes, that was right.
"Grace, Julia," he said, loud enough to be heard over the pandemonium of the battle but not quite a shout either. "We have to keep moving. We have to run!"
He couldn't do more, he had to trust that they would follow and get himself and his sister out of the situation alive.
Concentrating with all of his effort, he let go of his control and let himself turn into the last thing he had been. Although he might be fully animal, the lion in him was tame enough to recognize friend from foe, and in that form, he could protect his sister.

The bunny eared girl shut her eyes tightly as she ran. She could feel her body morphing again as she ran, pumped up by the fear that swelled up in her insides. She was so scared. The gun shots were making her ears ring. She just wanted it to stop. She was tired and more so, confused. What was happening? Why were they being chased down? Why did their teachers betray them and what was the black stone she had in possession earlier?

The sudden pull on her arm brought her out of her thoughts. Her eyes opened wide. Kendric had grabbed her arm and started hauling her away. Man, he was fast! She tried to keep up but she could barely stay on her feet! She stumbled every once in a while. His speed was far greater than hers, and her body felt that: She began to adapt quickly by shapeshifting.

Her legs suddenly began to keep a steady pace with Kendric, trotting with little hooves sounds. They had transformed into deer-like legs from her calf down. They were covered with beige coloured fur, decorated with white spots and tough hooves at the bottom that broke through her shoes. She felt fur prickle at the sides of her face as well, only slightly, as white dots freckled across her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. Her ruby eyes changed into hazel ones with wide, alerted pupils.

She felt Kendric slow down after a while, with the following words come out of his mouth:

"Are any of you hurt? We'll make it out of this!"

Celeste looked back at the others, who came running along closer to them. They all seemed alright - which was great. As she continued to run alongside her friend, she looked up at him with a worried expression as she said in between pants, "Wh-when are we... stopping?! What's going on?"

Angela continued to run while her sister pulled her. Julia had also come from behind and was tailing them. What for though? She didn't really care about them.

Angela was just tired. She wanted to lie down and sleep or let herself be killed. But if she did, Luna would be screwed. She knew Ayer was capable of looking after her and likely would, but if he ended up being gone, what then?

For now, everyone just ran, but she knew they couldn't keep it up, at least not much longer.

Luna ran. She did not stop, she just ran. All of this was too much. She had already lost Sora, and she didn't want to lose Angela, or even Julia. She'd feel too alone. And Ayer clearly liked her... So what happened if one of them died?

Alastair wondered to himself what to do next, the Police weren’t following procedure, they were shooting first and not even bothering with actual capture and who knew how the four from the tunnel would act when they finally catch up, would they be hostile to the police or would the two team up, he hopped the two groups weren't on the same side or they wouldn't stand a chance. He shook his head to try and focus on what was happening, first they needed to get out of sight and hide for a few hours at least, running through the streets and alleys would only work for so long, then they should find supplies and go into the wilderness and head north to the regroup sight. Alastair stopped in one street that seemed empty for now so he could catch his breath, he wasn’t built for endurance and he was already exhausted from using so much magic earlier, plus his leg was hurting. “Okay so has anyone got any ideas to get us out of our immediate problems?” He asked his group, he didn’t like having to ask others for ideas but if they were going to work together they needed to cooperate and share ideas, he had a feeling some of them probably didn't get along to well.

Xane stopped against a wall, watching as Alastair was catching his breath. He knew that Alastair couldn't run as long as he could, and the same went for the others. While Xane was willing to go and scout ahead, he wasn't sure he wanted to leave the others behind, just in case some of them couldn't fight against the police. They were in a serious situation, being on the run from the police, as well as having to keep from being shot. He knew if they were found by the police, the first thing would be a gun fired, instead of them trying to catch the students.

Right now the group was situated in a alley between two streets, but luckily for them the streets were off the main roads, so they should have a few minutes at least. He was sure that Alastair was thinking they needed a break as well, if only to fool the cops that they had gotten out of the city. The problem with that plan would be once night came they would have to be more careful, since there would probably be more security. Their only options were to wait till nightfall and try to sneak out through the shadows, or get out of town now and try to catch a break after. Xane knew he could get out without too much trouble, unless some heavy artillery was brought in, but he couldn't leave the others.

Xane decided to take his chances and spoke up.
"I think I'll scout ahead and see what's going on. We're not near the main roads, so we should be fine, if only for a little while. I'll go as quickly as I can and check the next few blocks to see what's going on. Does anyone disagree?" He looked at everyone, waiting for their answers.

When they turned into the alley and lost sight of their pursuers, Drei felt a little bit of relief. Clearly it was too early to start celebrating, this was good enough for the moment. If they could keep it up, then they would be home free, more or less.

"We'll make it out of this!"

Yes they will, as long as they keep moving away from the current threat. What may come next was unknown, but it was also of a lower priority at the moment.

"Wh-when are we... stopping?! What's going on?"

"Yeah, we can't keep running forever." Eventually they would have to stop and rest. "Is there any safe places for us to stop at nearby?" If they could fine one, then resting and waiting off the cops would be easy. They just needed to find one. While Drei did have some stamina he wasn't a skilled runner and his power didn't help that either. Still he would keep running as for as long as he could. The last thing he wanted was to be a hindrance to the others around him, especially he new found friends.

No time left, he had to run now. He almost started, but he felt someone hold on to his shoulder. Thinking that it was Berial trying to push him back, he reached for his sword as he turned around, but saw that it was only someone else. Lucas, right? Lucas apologized, then Poke nodded to show his understanding. He gave a quick glance at Berial one more time, then started to run off, only to be stopped again when he heard another gunshot. He hesitated, but knowing that staying any more longer would most certainly meet death, he turned around, and looked around for anyone that got shot. Then, he found him.

Artan was the one to die. He was the one that Poke saw run off after pushing down a girl. A coward that could've turned out to be a hero was on the list of the fallen. Grinding his teeth in anger, he ran off, this time making sure that nothing would stop him. He recalled the other group members. Berial, Lucas, and Xane. Easy enough.

After a while, when they arrived in an alley, Xane spoke up. Something about scouting ahead. Alone?
"Are you nuts? We've already lost over two people! I don't think that we need any more blood to be shed! But if you're really that confident, then I can't stop you. If you really do go, then just promise us that you'll be careful and won't do anything stupid." He was serious. He'd seen so much deaths that saying heartwrenching a thousand times over couldn't describe the grief he's been holding back. He then wondered what had happened so far with the other group. Did anyone there die yet? Hopefully, not.

Zauriel was shaking. Mya had him by one arm and, even though he was sure that he was faster than her, was leading him and Drei, who she was also holding. The trio was following Kendric and the other Shapeshifter...whose name he still hasn't learned. The metal of his boots clanged against the street as they ran. Or maybe it was the sound of him shaking so much? He wasn't sure. His simple life has been shattered by actions out of his control, represented in his mind by those students killed by bullets. Even though he had wings and an animalistic body, Mya was still pulling him. His wings barely flapped as he half-ran, half-flew, not able to fully comprehend the world around him. Just this morning, Zauriel shared an apple with a strange-looking lizard that had found its way into his room. He didn't have a single care in the world, aside from how the lizard had entered his room. And now...now he was a wanted fugitive with police literally gunning for his head...an unwilling pawn in some grand and apparently political scheme around which he couldn't wrap his mind.

"We...we must stop sometime, r-right?" Zauriel asked aloud, tears still visible on his face. He was shaking because of his own fear, but he was crying at the unnecessary loss of life. What if...what if a bullet found its way into Mya? Or Drei? Or Kendric? Or bunny girl? Zauriel gulped before noticing that Drei was having a bit of trouble keeping up. Wait a minute...that's right. Zauriel had sworn earlier that he would protect his new friends...and yet, Mya was the one leading him and Drei was falling behind. The shapeshifter swallowed once more (hoping that he wouldn't get hiccups) and pulled his arm from Mya's grip. He smiled, albeit weakly, and unfolded his wings. The wind pushing against them slowed him down and Zauriel placed a hand on Drei's back. "We are as fast as our slowest, correct? So I shall be our slowest as I am fast with my wings...so we shall all be fast!" His resolve wasn't reaffirmed -far from it- but his focus shifted from freaking out to helping the others. He attempted to smile again at Drei. "I've got you."

Grace ran a bit quicker, wanting to get out of the firing range as soon as possible. Although she was very confident in her abilities to protect both her and Artan, she wanted to get him out of there so they would no longer be in danger. But as long as she had him with her, she felt really good about being able to make it out of there. She had been training and building up her strength for moments like this after all, and she knew that she could do it. She would do almost anything to make sure he was safe and sound. Right now, although she didn't seem like it, that was her one goal out of all this ruckus. Panting heavily, she held tightly onto Artan's hand, dragging along without a single stop.
Yet suddenly, she felt a splash of warm liquid hit her back and side of her face, it causing her eyes to widen greatly. She felt her world stop for a moment, things just freezing all around her. Her heart stopped as well, bracing her for the pain that she was so sure would come at any moment. However, nothing was happening. She grew confused, more than certain that she was the one who got hit. Was it that she had died in an instant?
It wasn't until a second later that the true reality had struck her. It was Artan, her best friend, that had been shot! She just couldn't believe it to be true! How could he of all people be the one to have been hit?!She slowly turned her head back, eye instantly filling with tears as she witness that her friend was now dead. The horror was almost too much for her to handle.
She turned her body quickly, catching him before he could hit the ground. She sank down to her knees, holding him close to her and crying loudly now. "ARTAN!! NO!! Please, don't die! Come on! Wake up..." She trembled very much, hicing and sobbing hysterically from her loss. "Don't do this to me... please, don't leave me..." She rocked back and forth, cradling him slowly as the shots continued aiming towards the students. She just didn't care anymore to run, her just wanting to stay there no matter what.
Ayer chased after the girls. getting jumpy now that they might have too much struggle getting away. More important that that, he was worried about Angela. Losing a friend couldn't be easy, especially from how close those two were. He knew she wasn't feeling well but he was happy to know that she was strong enough to continue living on, even if her little sister Luna had to help with that. He would do his share of help later on if he could, but for now, all that mattered was them being able to make it out of this fiasco.
He ran as fast as he could before suddenly stopping, seeing a girl had fallen with her dead friend. 'How tragic....' He was about ready to head on ahead before realizing who the two were. The daughter of the Leader of Wendel... and a boy named Artan whom he had hoped to be friends with in the future. At the very least, he had to help her out.
Quickly stopping, he built up his aura and put up an ice barrier like he had before, making it strong enough to be temporary for her grieving. 'There, that should be good enough for now. The rest is on her own choice.' He quickly saved up his energy again and made his way back to catch up to his group once more.
Grace cried for a moment long before her emotions had suddenly died off as a fire set off inside of her. She took hold of Atan in her arms before her aura had grown to a great amount, her instantly breaking out of her ice barrier without a bit of effort. She instantly got out of the range of bullets, speeding off in a direction opposite from her group and the other students.

Alayah ran for all she was worth, she didn't stop, she didn't turn around, she didn't look back, until she felt she simply could not run any more. She looked around, they were in the middle of the poorer part of the city, she had never been here before. She couldn't hear the sound of guns anymore, they must've run far enough to be out of earshot.
Rogan was beside her, in the shape of a lion, looking up at her curiously. There was no one else in sight.
She felt a pang of guilt; the two other girls who had been told to follow them... had they been killed? Had they fallen behind? She had been so focused on her own attempt to escape that she hadn't even stopped to think.
Now, however, she fell against the wall of a nearby house and clutched at her stomach, panting.
The lion walked over and sat beside her, and then began to shift before her very eyes.
Soon, Rogan was back, and he took a deep breath. "Oh my..." he said breathlessly, leaning his head against the wall and closing his eyes.
    "Are you alright?" Alayah asked.
Rogan nodded. "That just took a lot out of me," he panted. "I've never shifted for that long before."
Sighing, Alayah stretched her tired legs. "And I've never run for that long before," she said.
Rogan looked at her. "...we really can't rest," he said. "We got away for now, but they'll be hunting us down." Then he frowned. "Where are the others?"
Alayah pursed her lips. "I don't know," she said. "I... I didn't notice if they followed us or not."
Rogan let out a small hiss. "That's not good," he said. "I should've made sure they followed us. I shouldn't have left them behind."
Alayah put her head on his shoulder. "It's not your fault," she said quietly.
They sat there for a few moments, before Rogan took a deep breath and stood up. "Alright," he said. "That's long enough. We have to get to the rendezvous point. Hopefully, the others will meet us there, or on the way."
Alayah groaned as she also stood up. "Maybe we should find a place to hide and rest for awhile. Just until we catch our breath."
Rogan shook his head. "We have to put as much distance between us and the police as possible," he said. "We can't rest. At least until we get out of town."
"...Alright," Alayah said with a sigh. "Let's get going then."

Lucas caught his footing and began striding heavily behind Alastar and the rest of the group. Too many of the group had died now for any one person to be considered safe. Lucas was in a group, but had to think for his own survival...he couldn't even account for his brother. The synchronized stomp of the troops behind them motivated him more than anything and in a mad slide he turned into the alley. He skidded to a stop and nearly toppled over trying to catch his breath. "Haaaaah. Haaa. Where do we even go now?!" He got out bewtween gasps for air. It was obvious he wasn't as physically seasoned as his brother who just stood with a withering expression on his face.

Berial stood stoicly against the wall, blowing out his frustrations with a rushing sigh. He folded his arms and frowned at Xane's proposal. "No way. That's stupid! Have you seen how many other students have died?!" He broke from his pose and swept his arm out, pointing back where Artan and the others had just died. "They're corpses aren't even cold yet and you're quick to join them." He blew out another small gust and frowned. "However, scouting ahead is a good idea. Lucas'll go with you so you won't be alone. Alastair should go with you guys too and me and Poke will stay here until you come back. We could, at most, hold off some foot soldiers while we run after you, if it comes to it." Berial cast a wry glance to Poke and awaited replies.

Alastair faced Lucas “We need to escape the city, I already told the others where we will regroup but first we need to get outside, it won’t take long for the military to catch up” Alastair said to him as Xane offered to scout ahead and then Poke’s protest and Berial’s plan. “Blood shed is inevitable at this point Poke and for someone who doesn’t want more to die choosing to hold this ground with just one other person is suicide Berial” Alastair said to Berial before looking to Xane, Poke and Berial had a point about Xane wanting to scout ahead on his own being stupid but they needed to take the risk and Xane seemed more than willing.

“Xane go, focus on finding us a clear path away from the city, we need to avoid fighting as much as possible, the rest of us will follow, if you find and military or police in our path come back to the group and we will come up with a new plan” Alastair said to Xane and then faced the others “We will give Xane a few minutes to scout ahead then follow after, we should minimize how much we split up, unfortunately I don’t think I can use my magic anymore today since I used it so much in the tunnels, if they catch up to us Berial and Poke will need to hold them off to give Lucas and me time to escape, just don’t make it a fight of attrition you will lose” Alastair said to the group and then looked back at Xane “If we get caught up in a fight do not comeback for us, we can’t risk the whole group getting taken out, so long as one of us survive we have a chance of stopping our real enemy, any objections?”

Xane nodded at Alastair's reaction to his proposal. He wasn't sure he felt like he could stay behind if they ended up getting attacked while he was away, especially since he knew how to deal with the military in a fight, but he couldn't say that out loud. It was at this point that Xane was glad that he wasn't the one with the leadership roles.

He looked over to Poke and Berial, thinking about what they said.
"I know you think it's dumb for me to go off alone, but in this sort of scenario, where I've been fighting for years and able to take care of myself, as well as my magic, I think it'd be best if I went alone anyways. There would be no way I'd be able to watch out for someone else. Besides," he looked toward Alastair, "we'll need as many people as we can who haven't had real life combat experience to group up in case you guys are found. I won't try to get into any fights, but I promise you this, I will come back fine, and I won't let anyone harm you."

After saying those words, Xane took off from the group, using his magic to increase his physical abilites by about five times their normal amount. He was already fast without them, but he wanted to scout as close to the edge of the city as fast as possible, without tiring himself out or giving away his position by giving off an aura. He was lucky that he had gotten experience training with his father, but while he was scouting ahead, he felt like he could use so many more years worth of training. While he had real life experience, he and his father never fought to the death, but he wasn't lying about how to fight against the military. With his father being a military personal himself, it was easy for Xane to get used to the movements of most officers, as well as knowing small bits about how the units work. He wasn't going to say anything like he was the best person for this job, but he was counting on what little he did know to get him through this.

He passed his 4th block without any sign of the police, which made Xane begin to wonder. They weren't hidden for that long, but he couldn't hear a thing near him. He had stuck to the alleys and smaller streets to get through, but even still he hadn't heard any sort of sound from any military. There was something wrong, and Xane knew it. If the police were already waiting for them at the exit of the city, they were in trouble. Xane felt like he should get on top of the buildings to check things out, but that would make him an easier target as well; plus he had know idea if there were any enemies waiting on the buildings.

When Xane reached his 8th block, he realized just how far he had managed to get from the group. While it was only 8 blocks, he had gone the long way around everywhere, but it still had only taken him about 3 minutes or so, which made his bad feeling get even worse.
    "Something isn't right here."
He looked around, not seeing a trace of anyone. The scary thing was that they could still hear the police looking for them back at the alley where the others were, but there was dead silence where he was. It felt like he was in a dead zone right now. He figured this was far enough, since it was only a little bit away from the exit of the city, and he figured he should go back and let the others know it was safe....at least up till this point.

He increased his magic to nine-percent, just below the point where he would give off his position, and high enough he should be able to get back fast enough. He knew he could make his magic last long enough if he did it in small spurts, but he was really hoping he didn't have to go higher than ten-percents. When he trained, he managed to keep his magic up at about ten-percent for almost three hours, but when he got to fifteen-percent, it was only about an hour and a half to two hours, and twenty-percent was maybe thirty minutes, and at the end of it he would get incredibly exhausted; almost to the point where he could barely hold a sword and fight off a person one-on-one, depending on how good they were, and even still with a bit of trouble.

The others were right. They couldn't keep running forever. As they passed through another alleyway gunshots echoed in the distance. The sheer emptiness of the streets started to get to him. Tasnica was always a bustling city, filled with vendors on every corner, massive markets, "tourist traps", and yet nothing remained on the streets. Aside from a sign here or there one would never have been able to tell that they were ready for a celebration.

A projection on the side of a building they ran by displayed the local news. Kendric just barely had time to read the headline on the projection as well as the large moving image displayed on it.

    LORIMA PRESIDENT ASSASSINATED

With how fast they ran by the image Kendric couldn't tell what exactly was displayed on it. He could only guess it was them, the students, attacking the security at the Tower. Nadine and the other adults had given them more than enough reason to believe that they had been framed for it. The panting of the others brought him back to reality. They had to get out of the streets as soon as possible.

An idea struck him. One that left him terribly guilty and sick inside. The Tasnican Police would only be looking for the students who were still alive. They had already killed several students, one of which Kendric knew to be from this very city. Artan. Being a student at the academy for so long meant that Kendric knew were most students lived. At least the ones who originated from Tasnica. "Hang on...Just a little further..." There was another student he knew that lived in this city. But Albina lived too far from where they were now and the police probably had no idea she was dead. They would likely search her house...

It took less than a minute for them to arrive at a large manor, though similar in design to the many others that populated the outskirts of Tasnica, whose double doors were painted with a sickly yellow color. Artan's parents had more things to worry about than their choice in color however. "Just trust me!" He said in a hushed voice, not bothering to waste time explaining. Kendric banged his fist against the door. No answer. He knocked again as the wood began to groan under the stress of his hand. Finally, it cracked open as a short blond man peeked his head out.

    "Is Artan with you?"

"No but-" Kendric snapped his hand out to stop the door from closing shut, pushing his way in and motioning for the others to follow. Now wasn't the time for showing manners. "Help us. We're innocent!"

OOC: Sorry for the delay guys! THIS RP ISN'T DEAD. Dead characters aren't nonexistent! Woo.

Celeste could barely think. Her legs were aching so bad, and she was panting terribly. Some time between all their running, her powers eventually brought her back to human form - erasing all her agile deer skills. She was just so out of energy from everything. All was left was her bunny ears, like always. The edges of her dress were torn and her shoes were just, well, pretty much gone.

Kendric had finally let go of her though, and they stopped. Oh! Heaves of the animal kingdom they stopped! Her legs felt like jellyfish tentacles and she dropped down to her knees, trying to catch her breath. Her rabbit ears folded downward as she panted. She could hear Kendric slamming his fist at the door. Her mind was completely blank, just trying to get herself to breath properly. What was even going on anymore? She didn't know. She didn't care. She just wanted everything to stop.

The creaking open of the large door alerted her snow-white bunny ears and she looked up. There was a blonde man standing at the door.

    "Is Artan with you?"

    "No but-"

Her expresion was very confused as she looked at that two. It happened so quickly. Kendric held the door open for them. Could they really just go in like that? It did beat staying out here... she got to her feet, wobbling, and made her way through the door.

    "Help us. We're innocent!"

She had to hold it to support herself but looked at the blonde man with a pleading expression - one so desperate and confused and innocent. She still hadn't caught her breath properly. "P-please, we are- are sorry for intruding. But please sir...! You have to help us...!"

Meara's silence throughout everything was the result of gunshot shock. Granted, at some points she could have thrown comments in, as soon as she tried she was cut off by the sound of a gun. Oh how she hated guns. She didn't have a real reason to. When she grew up with the wolves it was just instinct for wolves to hide.
Meara had looked in the weapons room in amazement. Everything within the room fascinated her. She wouldn't dare touch half of the things though, what with her fear of guns and all. Meara found a small dagger within the room that folded up very very small. If she wanted to kill someone without them noticing that knife would be the perfect thing to have.
Not that she planned on killing anyone.
She put the dagger in her belt and listened to the chaos as the voice appeared once more with it's booming voice
"Must I do everything for you children?"
Meara jumped when the ladder dropped and let out a growl at it for a moment before she forced herself to stop. She climbed up the ladder and waited for everyone to regroup. When they did Kendric, who had become the de facto leader of the group, finally spoke, organizing into groups. When she didn't hear her name called Meara blinked and tried to speak up, "W-wait, what about m-"
    Bang!
    "RUN!"
    Bang!
Meara didn't need to hear that instruction twice, she with the first group she saw, which was the group with Grace, Artan, Alayah, Rogan, and Julia. Meara kept running and shut out her mind, so much that when the sound of a bullet was heard and Artan fell, Meara only slowed down because she noticed she was way ahead of the rest of the group.
Meara couldn't think about the bullets or the deaths of the kids, if she did she would break down right there and never stop. This was too much for her, but her face clearly showed she was holding it all inside and trying to stay calm and strong. She took a deep breath and spoke.
"Grace, Alayah, Rogan, Julia." She spoke trying to get their attention. She honestly didn't know who the names belonged to, she just knew those were the people in the group, and she knew Artan was the one that fell dead. Meara held her breath for a second before she slowed down a bit to speak.
"I have a friend who lives not too far from here named Nicko. He will probably help us. He owes me a favor anyway."
Meara motioned for them to follow her as she ran around the corner. Hopefully for the first time this entire day someone other than the teacher would listen to her. She didn't bother to turn around and check, if they didn't follow her then oh well. She would rather be out of gunfire.
Meara knocked on the friend's door quickly and tapped her foot as she waited for them to answer the door. She resisted the urge to bark and annoy his dogs.

Berial crossed his arms and tapped his foot impatiently, ever so often peering around the corner of the alleyway for sign of Xane or soldiers. He was just supposed to scout. He should be back by now... He pondered, walking from end to end of the alley. He eyed the other three: Lucas, Poke, and Alastair; and pondered what they could be doing while they waited. Or if they should be moving to meet Xane. "There's no way he should be gone this long." Berial finally spoke. It was directed at no one in particular, but he still awaited a reply from someone. More to calm his imagination, if anything. The other students had dropped like it was nothing, so what was the difference for them?

Lucas did his best to stay calm, though breathing raggedly. He sat on a discarded air conditioning unit with his arms dangling loosely to his sides. He'd told himself he was going to be independent of Berial when they were underground but it was proving hard to live up to already. How could he steel his resolve when people that appeared stronger than him were shot down? The youth brought his left hand up and rested it on the hilt of his sword, his fingers making circles over the jewel in the center. It calmed him a little to know that he was armed. Though he wasn't as well adapted to swordplay as his brother, he figured he could continue using it in conjunction with his Telekinesis until the situation absolutely called for close combat. He raised his head when his brother spoke and surprisingly didn't find a lump in his throat. "Just be patient. He said he'd be okay, so let's have a little faith. We should wait a little longer and then go after him." Carving his own path, indeed.
