Kayate continued run his hand over the strings of the guitar, when a small noise caught his attention - someone was finally entering the room! He realized it to be a girl, maybe another student... He tilted his head, catching her eye. When a squeak escaped her lips, a small smile sprouted from his own. "Hello." he called out to her, quickly going back to his business, strumming his guitar.

[ OCC ] Wooh, uncreative RPing.

 

Well, it was time to face facts. He was lost.
Not just ordinary lost. Completely lost. As in; the not-having-a-clue-on-Earth-as-to-where-to-go kind of lost.
"Well this sucks." he stated bluntly, continuing to wander around the street he'd found himself on. He wondered silently as to why the streets were so empty, but then recalled that the first post leaflet had said there were few people around Heart's Content at the moment and sighed.
Makes for less awkward situations though, I guess. Like talking to people. he mused to himself, as he approached what looked like a small café. Nervously, he stepped inside, figuring that somebody would know their way around the town.

 

No, you can’t hit him, idiot! That certainly won’t you get you any friends! Kelly shuffled her feet nervously, her cheeks slightly red in colour. How pathetic she was.
“U-uhm..Hey†She gave a small, sad excuse for a smile and looked down at the floor, too frightened to meet the boys gaze, in fear she’d say something stupid.

 

Midnight smiled, now that her job application had been completed and sent in, it was simply a matter of waiting to see if she'd got the job. She had some time to kill, she wasn't technically at work at the cafe today but she needed a drink. She'd be company for the staff working there at least, it had been rather quiet of late and she just hoped someone would be in. She walked quickly as she thought about it, she knew the layout of the place quite well now, well at least the way to the cafe and she reached it fairly quickly.

She sighed as she entered, quiet as ever, but she couldn't say she'd been expecting any different. She felt the need to go into the back and change into her work clothes but had to remind herself that she wasn't working today. While she was thinking this she very nearly walked into the back of someone standing arkwardly near the enterance, looking rather confused. She'd somehow not seen them when she entered which, considering where they were standing, seemed like a big achievement.

"Oh sorry" She said to them, she wasn't sure if she'd actually bumped into them in a way they'd noticed but it still felt like she should apologise for not seeing them. She looked up at the guy, they were quite tall. She knew everyone was tall compared to her as she was tiny but she was pretty sure he was actually properly tall. He was also not that bad looking and she did a quick check to make sure she wasn't staring. "Are you okay? New around here?" She asked as she was pretty sure that she'd have remembered if she had seen him before.

 

"Uh, yeah, I'm fine." he replied to her, timidly. So much for being brave about these things.
"New? Yeah." he muttered, before thinking to himself.
Come on, you came in here for directions, so stop being such a coward.
"Yeah, I was trying to find the Academy. I've probably passed it about three times knowing me, but I can't find it."
He neglected to mention the fact that he could easily have printed off a map for himself.

Heartless thought, what were his classes again? "Just the core classes for now. Y'know, Math, English, and the like. I've been thinking about joining the Drama class, though..." He said to Jayn. "What about you? Maybe we'll be in the same classes?" He asked her.

Midnight laughed affectionatly, for someone so big he didn't have much confidence. "Forgive me. Well I'm glad you're alright, I can take you to the Academy if you want. I should really go there myself, I might just have a new job there." She brushed her hair out of her face with her hand as she looked at him. He seemed quite nice, if a little shy, maybe she could get him to open up a little. "Or I could simply give you directions. What do you say?" She added, thinking maybe he didn't want to walk with her and that gave him an escape if he wanted it.

 

"You're working there too?" he asked. This was an interesting coincidence, that was for sure. "Honestly... I'm not so great at using directions. Kinda why I'm lost in the first place. Showing me is probably the best idea."

 

"Yeah, well hopefully, if they give me the job. With a bit of luck, you're looking at their new science teacher." She said with a grin and a slight curtsey. She was well aware she'd be smaller than half the students and still looked old enough to be a student but they'd have to get used to that. "You're working there as well?" She asked, working it out from his last question. "And that's fine by me." Without warning she grabbed his hand and led him outside the cafe, "This way, it's not far to go." She paused, as if realising grabbing his had might have been a little inappropriate and let go, "Um sorry but yeah, this way"

 

He was a little taken about at how up-front the girl was, taking his hand straight away and dragging him off, but he wasn't about to complain.
"I'm supposed to be the new Drama teacher." he told her, before she let go of his hand and appologised.
"Uh... yeah, it's no problem." he said, a little embarrassed, but not much more. He continued to follow her, feeling a little awkward because of how quiet he was being.

 

She was starting to feel like she really should not have done that. She'd only just met the poor man and already she was dragging him off by his hand, what had she been thinking? And he was shy enough already without her making it arkward and embarassed. She failed so badly with the male species in its entirety. "Drama teacher?" She repeated him as he told her, that suprised her as he seemed a bit too shy for a drama teacher. Although she'd probably just yanked him head first right out of his comfort zone. "Nice. Well good luck with that. I'm sure you'll do fantastically" She told him with a smile. He'd muttered that it was fine about her holding his hand but she could still feel how arkward it had left things."So you looking forward to working here? I hope the kids are alright. Just round this corner." She added as she led the way, she was probably overwelming him. She didn't mean too but she just wanted to be friendly and she was probably talking more to make up for how quiet he was.

 

"Oh man, I hope they like me," Dash groaned as she ran her fingers through her colorful hair. "I mean, I don't want to bore them to death and I tend to be long-winded. Heh, we'll just play it all by ear. I'm a bit late registering, but what the hay." Collecting all the papers together and putting them back in the folder, she then put it back in her backpack. "Where is everyone anyways?" Dash muttered under her breath while looking around the cafe. Taking a quick glace at her watch, she smiled and tapped her head as if a light bulb came on in her mind. "Ah! They're probably all at the academy! Guess I can head over there and hand in my application and take a look around the academy or something. Get to know everyone since I'm new here. I may want to be a teacher, but that doesn't mean I wanna be their friends!"

Dash giggled to herself as she slid out of the booth and slipped her backpack again and hurried out of the cafe. She first skipped down the sidewalk, enjoying the morning air around her. Then she broke out into a jog, heading to the place where she thought the academy was at. "New adventure, here I come!"

"I'm better when I know people." he said to her, though he probably sounded unconvincing. "And yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Not that I'm much older than the 'kids' but hey."

BIC: Midnight laughed as she looked up at him, "Whatever you say~ But yeah, I know what you mean, I have the smae thing. However at least you're going to be bigger than most if not all of them. Me on the other hand..." She guestured to herself, emphasising her small size, "Yes. I'm going to have to get them to respect me somehow." She shook her head, her ever present smile glowing. She knew she faced a challenge with getting them to listen to her if they were bigger than her but she'd done it before. Size wasn't everything and she planned on proving it.

 

Scared, Din made her way to the cafe's front entrance and not the back - though she's already been there. She decided to stick with the front door - it would be less awkward than entering the back and that being a mistake then entering the front door since majority of the people entered there anyway. First day of work and she was late. Dang. She was not good at this. Din kind of got lost on the way - which was horrible. Hopefully another dish washer had already started with most of the work.

With one deep breath and an encouraging thought in her mind, she gently pushed open the cafe's front doors. She walked up to the counter, cleared her throat and spoke, "Hi. My name's Din. I'm so sorry for the tardiness but I'm the new dishwasher." Shame and fear was obvious in her voice. Who wouldn't be embarrassed by being late after so willingly getting the responsibility of the job?

 

He looked to the girl's eyes - which were sadly hidden, as she completely avoided his gaze. "Hey. I don't bite." he calls to her, a small smile on his face. Hm, she's actually a little cute - that silly smile on her face and all.
He begins to stand up off of the desk, placing his guitar onto the desk, he slips his hands into his pocket, as they had nothing to occupy themselves with. "I'm Kayate."

"Well it's not so much size that's the issue." he said, still not quite able to look her in the eyes. "It's more like... well it's easier to be a someone that happens to teach than a teacher, if that makes any sense. I prefer to teach as a peer than as a superior."

OOC: Oh god I'm a terrible person look how late my replies are. ;_;

 

OOC: Don't worry, DT, mine is later...In fact, I'm going to have to ask if somebody knows where I was last? I would look myself but...um...Dang, I don't have an excuse for my laziness.
