OOC: Thank you, Jayn! Now to breathe some life into this thread.

IC:

It was early in the morning, or at least Early by Heartless's standards, when the alarm clock began to go off. His face still buried in his pillow, he smacked the clock until it finally shut off. He dragged himself out of bed and got ready for his first day of work at the Heart's Content Inn, his first job in ages. After getting ready and putting his uniform, he grabbed a poptart from his pantry and ran out the door. The light burned his eyes, but he kept on making his way to the Inn. He looked at his watch, he still had about 25 minutes before he was considered late. "No worries, I've got time." He said to himself.

~Time Skip of about 15 minutes~

Finally, Heartless made it to the Inn, with about 10 minutes to spare. "Whew, got here early." He said as he took his place behind the check-in counter. "Now we play the waiting game."

 

Midnight walked into the cafe for another shift. It had been a bit quiet of late but with a bit of luck that would soon change. She tied back her hair and rested on a chair as she waited for the first customers of the day. Hopefully she wouldn't have too long to wait.

I hope we can keep this thread active, it looks like alot of time and effort was spent putting it together! Effort from both the creator to the people who used to post. But anyway. Hi, I'm Kelly and I like cute and creepy things.

Also...Remember, if you want an achievement, request it from me! I've been manually looking to see who did what but that's the ultimate bs, especially since so many people just vanished anyway. Not worth the effort, atm.[/IC]

Jayn was bored like a mother trucker, so she decided to actually role play here for once in hopes that it would inspire her to continue to do so and maybe spark some life back into whatever was supposed to be happening. She liked the Amusement Park, Inn and Cafe, but she was most excited to get settled into the school. She still had a couple of jobs to do, but first she would attempt to attend classes.

She figured Sumi was gone forever and that going back to chat with her would prove useless and heartbreaking, so she just skipped from her position at the Amusement Park to the car she randomly has now and straight to the school. Just to make her heart happy, she decided to pretend she needed to get dressed in a kawaii desu Japanese schoolgirl uniform before she grabbed her bookbag, swung the single-strap thing over her shoulder and marched into the teacher-less school.

Nobody wants to be a teacher anyway so they'd just be NPCs and she hadn't figured out her classes yet, so she just wandered aimlessly until her creativity kicked in full-gear because she just woke up despite it being 1pm where she lives irl and she's tired.

A long sigh emerged from Heartless's chest. There had barely been any customers all day, except for that one guy who came inside to use the bathroom and the old couple who've been making some disturbing noises from their room. "Well, they're obviously not going anywhere 'till tomorrow. Might as well check out the school if I'm gonna enroll soon." He mumbled as he checked out, leaving his uniform coat behind the desk. After a boring walk sequence, Heartless arrived at the Heart's Content Academy. "Nice place. I wonder if there's any classes going on." He thought before taking a look through the parking lot, only finding one car parked. "Isn't today a school day? There should be more than just one car here...Weird."
He stepped inside the school building, only to be met with silence, except for the faint sound of footsteps in the distance. "Well, at least I know someone's here...Maybe I'll run into them while I look around."

OOC Again: Regardless of the amount of people posting, you can rest assured I'll be a regular, Jayn. This looks like too much work was put into it for it to be ignored.

The school was barren, void of all life, except for whoever else was exploring the school. "I coulda swore there were more people when I first moved here. Mass homicide maybe?" Heartless joked to himself. He approached the Algebra classroom, opening the door to see if maybe there were people inside the classrooms. He was wrong. Sort of. There was an NPC teacher, but he was just writing mindless garble on the chalkboard within. "People still use chalkboards?"
Heartless exited the room and made his way to the main office to enroll. "Hello? Anybody here? I'd like to enroll." He said as he entered the office. He was just met with the NPC's staring blankly at their computer screens, so he just grabbed an enrollment for and left. Okay, more like ran. He took his form to the library where it was large and away from the NPC's. He placed his form on a table, grabbed a pen and sat down to fill it out.

Huzzah! We're slowly growing. This good. Real good.

 

Oh no, there was thread lurkers/guests looking at the thread when I posted.

 

The first thing Jayn tried to do was attend class, of course. As she roamed the hallways, she noticed nothing but silence. She even peered into the classrooms occasionally. NPCs, of course, stood like pillars in front of the class. The classes themselves varied in size. Some of them had a couple of students inside, others had nothing but rows. Nonetheless, the teachers would stand and 'teach'.

She was about to begrudgingly enter a class that may or may not have been one of her's and just sit there, but then she heard a noise and stopped herself. She peered out into the hallway again.

"Hello~?"

No answer.

Nonetheless, she decided to avoid the classroom until she found out where the source of the sound had come from.​
