"Wai-" Rhone struggled to find the words. The girl was so bright. He didn't mean she was smart, he meant that she literally looked like she was glowing. Could she be an angel? He wondered. It finally started to dawn on him that he died. He was a firm Christian, but it didn't occur to him he could be in Heaven, Hell, or purgatory. Purgatory? She said trials..He figured it out right then. "So you're saying that we-!" He started to say quickly but was interrupted.

"One second," Axel said as he swung the sword to point it at the pale girl. "Where exactly are we?"

 

Seth looked at Klover trying to make sense of what she was telling them. Seth still had the two swords in his hands. He still held the swords in his hands but didn't feel he need them for protection at the moment. Seth looked at the others that he was supposibly supose to work with. Of course all of them were older than himself

 

Alianne rolled her eyes, turning and looking. "Some of us do better alone." She voiced aloud. "Sometimes people drag us down, hold us back. If this is the way to Heaven, it might be best done alone." She smiled to herself, not a nice one. "That way no one gets hurt." Turning, she eyed the girl, then the others, and lowered her arms. "So can I go now?"

 

James clamped his ears. Everything everyone was saying was making his head spin, swimming even. He couldn't get the voices out of his head. He fell to his knees, hard. He screamed, at the top of his lungs.

"STOP IT!"

 

"These woods..." Eden looked around, seeing eyes upon her. "Parma... I'm scared..." To which on that statement, Parma became a cutlass which Eden wielded. "Where is this? Is anyone there? Help me!"

 

James stopped screaming all of a sudden. He felt it...a pulse...his sword was pulsing, showing in the glowing runes. The runes were pulsing rapidly, getting faster. The red glow slowly starting to change. James, still in shock, listened. Some way or another, he just knew where they were.

"The demons...they've...they've found someone..."

 

"You're in a world of worlds." Klover stood slowly, the point of Axel's blade directly in front of her face. A small smile appeared on her face as she looked downwards, walking past him, laying a warm hand on James' shoulder as she glanced at Eden.

"Hush." She passed a wave of soothing warmth through his body, her head tilting as she felt his muscles relax under her fingers. "Nothing is wrong with you, don't be afraid. You will remember in time. Just try to calm down, this won't last long. As for you, Alianne," She turned to face the girl with hard eyes before pointing a finger to her left. "Passed those trees, you'll find a door. Go through it is you please."

Klover took her hand from the boys shoulder. She took a deep breath.

Ann Marie looked down and crossed her arms, huffing softly. Who was this girl? She looked over at her with thoughtful eyes, wondering what path she would chose. Or how this system even worked. Was there a door in each world? That's what it sounded like she was saying. But how? It was just so unreal. But then again, this was the after life.

Ann Marie took a step back and sat on the ground, deciding to listen to more.

 

Eden looked to the girl, then to the direction she pointed. "... Who are you?"

 

James shut his eyes, gritting his teeth, shaking his head vigorously, "My head...it feels like it's being ripped in two...," He clutched his head again, his sword pulsing once more.

 

Alianne smiled sweetly. "I'll give good references for your future job." she replied, then grabbed her staff and headed through, to what, she didn't know. She didn't care either, she just wanted away from all those people, those possible links. Just links to a chain that would drag her down. If she couldn't handle it alone, she would die. Simple as that. That was life....or death. She passed the trees, and gently pushed the door open with her staff, closing her eyes, and biting her lip as she walked through.

 

James struggled to get up, the noise and pulsing getting louder in his head, "What's...happening?" He stumbled forward a bit before falling on his face again, his vision blurring. He tried watching Ann as she went off, but could barely make out her figure.

 

Seth looked at the others and sighed "A little kid like me will only get in your way. I shall go alone so I wll not be a burden" Seth said as he held the two new swords he found and put one over his shoulder and walked

 

James mind suddenly flashed: He seemed much smaller, wearing different clothes, almost child-like. An adult was walking away from him, wearing a suit, carrying a briefcase, walking towards a cab. Everything around either of them was foggy or white. He cried in an infantile voice, "No! Don't go! Please!"

"NO! DON'T GO! PLEASE!"

James' hand was raised in the direction of Seth and Alianne. He blinked. He was breathing hard, with fresh tears falling down his face. "Please...," He barely managed, choking, "...don't...don't go..."

 

What's with this kid? Ann Marie wondered, staring at James with a nervous look. Maybe all of these people were just crazy. She stood up, eying Klover carefully.

"Will you be accompanying us?" She asked, putting a hand on her hip and watching Alianne walk.

"No. I can't." Klover smiled slightly before turning away from the group. "I actually have to leave in a second here. Any more questions?" Her eyes flashed as she turned back to them, a small smile on her face.

 

Alianne blinked as the light faded, then cussed madly and threw herself to the ground, her hands over her head. Something crashed above her. What a way to enter a world. Slowly peeking up, she blinked, the glare fading. It had been a..lightbulb? She stood up, brushing her knees off, hiding her shaken feelings, though there might not be anything to hide them from. Or anyone, she added as an afterthought.

 

James was breathing heavily, sweat coming from his forehead, as he stared into the ground, "I....I remember....my dad....he did this....exact same thing....when I was smaller......he left us f-for some reason....almost same....as this....wanting to go it alone...." He was shaking from trying to sit upright.

 

Rhone just stood there in shock. It seemed that everyone was going crazy. He wanted to ask the angel why this was going on. Why they couldn't just go to Heaven. Why they had to literally walk through Hell to get there. Was his faith, everything he believed in false? He had just gotten out of church that day...He knew his life wasn't as virtuous as it should be, but a test in Hell? That can't be true...then again, he was staring at an angel...yes, he was sure of it. This girl was an angel. So his faith was right...to an extent. He started to raise his hand, to ask her something, when he noticed his hands were empty. The guns? "Where did they?" He started looking around. He was just holding on to them a few seconds ago.


"Shut up," Axel growled. He was talking to all the kids around him. He couldn't give a damn less what problems they had, breaking down and crap. He spun around and pointed the giant blade at the pale girl again. "What do you mean, any more questions?" He demanded, "Of course we have more questions! A world of worlds? What do you mean by that? Is this Heaven or Hell? Just what are you? And what are those?!" At this point, he swung the sword again and aimed it at the forest. "They listen to you, apparently. Is this some sick game?" He started ranting, not giving any room for the answers he was expecting. "You seem strong, why can't we travel with you? What's the point of all this? Are we really dead? What are these weapons? Where did they come from? Answer me, damn it!" His voice raised into a yell as he squeezed his hilt.

 

Klover glanced at Rhone, smiling gently and laying a hand on his shoulder. "Your weapons will come back when you need their aid." She looked up at Axel.

"It will be revealed to you in time." She murmured before turning away. "Please, be safe." She looked down before walking into the woods, disappearing from sight.

Ann Marie groaned, looking in the direction Alianne went in. She looked down and sighed deeply.

"Damn it all." She turned to the others. "Well. Any ideas?" She asked, raising an eyebrow and staring them down, making sure she was far enough away from Axel's blade encase he decided to go on a rampage.

 

Len laid there on the floor, staring up at the whiteness. He had no idea how long it had been, just that he had 'woke' up here with Rin next to him. Sitting up, he looked at Rin and shook her slightly.
Rin stirred in her sleep and then sat up. Looking around, she frowned. "Where are we?" She demanded.
Len shook his head. "I do not know. I 'woke' up here awhile ago, no idea where we are."
Rin sighed and stood up. "Well.... Whats the last thing you can remember?"
Len stood up and looked at her. "Kids, jeering at you. Me stepping in the way to protect you from their harm. Then you ran away and across the road. Before you could do anything, I jumped out in front of you as a truck came."
"Oh yeah. A truck was coming towards me and you moved in the way of it, protecting me... then white...."

 

Looking up, Alianne inhaled sharply, then stood up. Now she was in the dark, and there was no sense of light. She was so screwed now. Gently feeling her way, she yelped silently as she cut her finger on something sharp, probably broken glass, and gently pulled her hand back.
