Aurora raised an eyebrow. "All right. If you're sure." She walked them up the road to the entrance of her large home. The sweet smell of fresh fruits and flowers greeting them as they walked onto the porch. She opened the door, revealing a large entrance room with a staircase and various other doors branching off. There was a large window directly in front of them, overlooking the large strawberry field. She smiled at the sight. Being home always made her feel happy, that is until she would see her mother. Nothing about her mother ever made her feel joy. Aurora set a hand on Poke's shoulder and moved him towards the staircase. "There's an open room by mine upstairs. If you want to get cleaned up, I'll find you something to wear."

 

He sighed. That totally went well... He decided to move what he did out of his mind, before returning to their trip to the house.

He was surprised at the sight. It was a large house, like a mansion in his opinion. He took in the smell of fruits and flowers, smiling. "Pretty cool..." He said to himself. When he entered, he looked around before being moved towards the staircase. After being told about the open room, he nodded. "Sure, I'll go get cleaned up."

She nodded and led him up the stairs to the empty room, pushing open the door. "Here you go, if you need anything my room is just across the hall there." She pointed to the white door kiddie corner from his. Aurora was excited to finally get out of her suitor clothes. Just the thought of ripping off the dress and ridiculous accessories gave her chills from the overwhelming excitement. She left Poke standing in the threshold of the room and crossed the hall to her own room quietly. Her thin fingers pushed open the door and she stepped inside, leaving the boy out in the hallway by himself. Once she changed, Aurora would instruct one of the housekeepers to send up some clean clothes for Poke to wear. He would probably be awhile anyway, needing to get cleaned up and all. However, he is a boy, so maybe his version of clean would be something much different than hers. She shrugged and sat down on the large bed, kicking off her shoes and rubbing her feet. It had been awhile since she had to do that much walking.

 

OOC: I fell further behind than I thought! Sorry, guys! I've been working on a massive RP project and I seem to have neglected the ones I'm currently in :/ Won't happen again!

"No, don't!" Within a mere second, Icarus was standing over Clover. He had used his superspeed to rip a curtain off the window and lay it upon her body before he could see anything. Though he had given away the fact that he was more than human to both Jayden and Clover before easing them in, as he had planned, he could not bare to see anybody treat themselves like this, let alone a Demigod! He sighed and looked at the floor. "I guess...I should reveal my true nature." He looked up to Jayden, the Demigod of Hera, and then back down to Clover, Demigod of Aphrodite, and smiled faintly. "My name is Icarus," he began as his body began to float towards the ceiling without aid, "And I possess the abilities of flight and speed for," within another second, he was across the room with his staff in his hand, "I hold the essence of the fallen God, Hermes." He pointed to Jayden, "As you possess the essence and spirit of Hera, and you," he moved the staff to aim at Clover, "have the nature of Aphrodite. We are fallen Gods...reborn." His smile disappeared as his body slowly lowered, "Now please," he looked at Clover, "redress yourself." It was a request, not a command.

Kalas was getting angry at the Demigod. Though Kaji may not have understood him, as Icarus was the only one who could, the eagle easily understood the Demigod's words and he was greatly insulted. Eat him?! In all his glory? Kalas should have clawed out Kaji's eyes for the insolence...but that was against his best wishes. The bird let out a screech and jumped at Kaji, flapping his wings angrily. Perhaps a more direct approach would work.

 

Clover scurried back against the wall into a corner as she watched Icarus hover in the air. Her pale fingers clutched the curtain to her body. Thick as they were, they were only cream with embroidery of blue in the shapes of flowers. They wouldn't hide everything, mearly throw a thin sheet on what Estes was paid to give to people. "I...b-but...this is a dream. I'm dreaming. Or...this is a trick... Please, I beg of you, I am not strong enough to handle games." Clover buried her face in her hands and curled into a ball on the floor, the curtain slipping off her legs.

 

Everything has the potential to be great; you only need the wisdom to be able to use it.​

Myrina smiled and clasped her hands together as they decided to trust her. She'd never met them before so to see them actually listen to her and value her opinion was a great relief. "Thankyou. Okay, well unfortunatly we don't have the plans for the actual temple here but most temples are fairly similar and I've been in that one several times so I know it roughly." She took a piece of paper and started sketching out a rough layout of the building. "Now even though, they're shouldn't be that many people defending it, we're still low on numbers. In my opinion our best chance is stelth. Take out as many of there men on their own, without alerting the others. Hopefully by the time the alarm is raised, then we will be in a much stronger postition. That make sense? Now if we enter through the..."

She went on to describe her idea for how they could best go about taking the temple. She stopped regularly, looking round to see how she was doing and trying hard not to overstep their boundries. She allowed them to ask questions and she'd answer the best she could. She understood that it might not be easy for them to have a complete stranger telling them what to do, nevermind a little girl. Still, this was her area of expertise. She loved doing this, planning out the best way to go about things. Looking for potential obstacles and finding ways to over come them. It was what she was good at and the ideas came thick and fast. Her eyes seeming to light up as she spoke with increasing passion. However she was well aware that for all the planning she did, you never knew what might happen on the night. The battle ground was unfamiliar territory to her, she just hoped she'd be able to cope.

Finally finishing, she looked to Orpheus, "How'd I do?" She asked, like a school girl waiting to be judged. He had the power to just throw everything she'd just said out the window and somehow his opinion mattered to her. "If you're happy with that plan, I don't know when you want to do it. We could do it today if you wanted or wait a few weeks, I don't mind." Her attitude had vanished for the moment, she liked these guys and just wanted to be accepted by them.

 

Kaji covered his arms. He was being attacked by a bird who was apparently angry at him. As the bird flapped its wings and squawked, he looked around. The people passing by were starting to stare, and he didn't want to attract any kind of attention. "Okay, you know what, instead of flapping your wings like an idiot and attracting attention to yourself, and me, why don't you just actually use those wings and show me what you're trying to say? Otherwise you'll end up seeing a bright light in my palm and find yourself without feathers a second later." He pushed the bird back, getting it out of his face.

A smile washed over Myrina's face, more of relief than anything. "Great. Thanks. And yes, today sounds good. Let's show the world how it's done." She grinned, pocketed the plans and began to fold away the map as she spoke. Although she stopped before she folded the map completely, "Does everyone know where we're going? Take a good look, I'd suggest going seperatly and meeting here" She pointed to a spot on the map, down a backstreet near the temple. "Okay?" She let all of them have a good look to plan out routes before putting the map away. "I trust everyone can be discrete"

She waited for the men to leave but placed a hand on Orpheus's arm to delay him a moment. "Um, okay, this is arkward but can I walk with you? I can pull off a pretty good innocent little girl look but a young girl walking alone on the streets of Athens? People won't think I'm doing what I am but they might pick me up for why I'm alone. It'd be more normal if I was with someone, like a big brother? It'd draw suspition away from you aswell." She looked down, she didn't like this asking for help lark. In her opinion it made her seem weak and people would lose respect for her. Respect meant a lot to her, she was used to being treated like a child, like she was useless, she just wanted to proove she wasn't. "I mean, I can get there perfectly fine on my own as well so if you want to go seperatly, sure. Just an idea."

 

He watched her leave, before looking in to the room. "Wow." There was a bed, a drawer, and a body-length mirror. Normally, this wouldn't be very impressive, but for Poke, this was 'cool' for him. He walked over to the mirror and looked at himself. "...Dear god, I'm REALLY dusty." This was the first time in a long time Poke saw himself at full view. And his first opinion of his image was that he looked disgusting. Nice way to greet your own body, Poke.
He looked back at the bed, before going over and sitting on it. It was rather bouncy. He lied down for a moment, legs hanging over the edge, looking up at the ceiling, lost in to his own world.

Aurora ripped off all the annoying accessories attached to her body and let her hair down from the curls. The long brown locks hung loosely around her body as she dropped the accessories on her bed. The thick white sheets appeared warm and inviting, but she had to resist the urge to climb into her large bed. She had invited a young man into her family's home after all. She couldn't just leave him to himself. It was a big house and if Poke decided to go wondering, then he would probably get lost. Aurora grabbed the base of her dress and pulled it up over her head to change into something else. She used to love the dress, but had come to resent it since it was the one her mother insisted she wear every time there was a suitor. Just the sight of it drove her mad.

She opened the wardrobe and sifted through until she found a long simple black dress. The bodice fit snugly and hung loose around the waist, covering everything down to her ankles. The straps were thick and covered the majority of her shoulders. Aurora inspected herself quickly in the mirror before exiting her room to find one of the servants. There was a maid just down the hall and she stopped to speak with her. "Excuse me. In the guest room across from mine, there's a sweet young man in need of some clothes to wear. Will you fetch him something clean and then bring his current clothes down to the wash room. He would like them back right away, so please be quick about it." She watched the older woman nod and hurry off to get Poke something to wear.

 

Daa daaa, kick you in the face, daa daa-- He got up, hearing footsteps. Naturally, he felt alarmed, so he reached in to the back(inside back)of his coat, before remembering. Aurora said that he'd get new clothes, so that's probably what the foot steps were about. He sighed, before the footsteps faded away. Must have went to get clothes, or something else? Even with the nice hospitality, he was still cautious.

Soon, the footsteps came, and just incase, he placed his hand behind his coat. A maid came in holding some new clothes. She set them on the drawer, before saying "I'll be waiting outside for you to change," then left with a bow. Poke got up from the bed, leaving it bouncing slightly, and walked over to the new clothes. He picked up a long-sleeved shirt. It was red all over, and red was Poke's favorite color. Long sleeve in this temperature...Oh well, I have awesome powers anyway. He took off his coat, revealing some kind of double-holed scabbard with a long stick. It was really an extendable staff. He took it off and placed it behind the drawer in an angle that the maid wouldn't be able to see. He took off his shirt, put on the staff scabbard, and then got in to his new shirt. Good thing it's big enough so that the scabbard wouldn't be seen. He thought to himself, before looking at the sweat pants. Pretty much black. Taking off his jeans, he put them on, and to his surprise, they were rather comfortable. That's it, I'm stealing me one of ​these when I'm outta here. He saw some (white)socks, so he took off his shoes and socks then put on the new ones. He folded the jeans, shirt and coat neatly together then stacked them on to each other, the socks and shoes on top.

He gave a knock on the door, stepped back, then in came the maid. She took the dirty clothes and went off, closing the door gently. He looked at himself in the mirror. This seems weird... He gave a yawn and stretched, before once more taking a seat on the bed, and lied down so that he was in the same position he was before when waiting for the new clothes. Daa daaa, kick you in the face, daa daa~

While he was confused seeing Icarus move at super speeds, he was glad that he'd manage to cover Clover. "So what your saying is that there's basically a God living inside of me. Do I get any abilities like your or does it vary?" He asked before Clover fell to the the ground. Eventhough they were currently in a brothel, she'd must've gone through some horrible things for her to be in this state. "I pretty thing this isn't a trick, though it's very hard to believe." He said as he moved to where Clover was and carefully place his hand on her shoulder.

Aurora sneaked off into the kitchen unseen. There didn't appear to be anyone inside and it made her relax. Sooner or later she would run into her mother, preferably later. The longer she could prolong the inevitable encounter the better. It always went the same way. Her mother would shout at her, tell her she's wasting her life and their money away by being selfish, slap her for talking back, and then say that the next one will definitely be the right one. It irritated her every time. Her parents picked out the men each week, but pretended it was still her choice by having her choose between them.

She gathered up a few things to eat and set them on a large tray. Sure she fed Poke, but it wasn't a lot and he didn't look as if he'd eaten much recently. The little guy was adorable and didn't seem to act the same way around her that every other man did. Maybe it was just because he wasn't trying to marry her. Hopefully that was it. If people acted so crazy around her constantly, then she would probably go crazy too. The tray was filled with a variety of breads and cheeses, along with some dried goat meat and a pitcher of grape juice. Giving a kid wine just didn't sit well with her. She grabbed an older bottle of wine off the shelf, slipping it under her arm for herself and two glasses. Aurora smiled satisfied and turned to leave the kitchen. If this didn't help cheer up the kid, she didn't know what would. He seemed rather sad, which most likely had something to do with why he was in Athens by himself. Nobody would allow their children to travel to the city alone. It was madness.

Aurora carried the tray up to the room she assigned him to and knocked lightly on the door. "Hey Poke, it's Aurora. Are you done getting cleaned up? 'Cause I brought you a surprise." There was a smile on her face as she waited for a response. Having someone to take care of made her happy. She loved caring for the fruits, but a person was another story.

 

Poke was stuck between falling asleep and being woken up. If he were to sleep, his growling stomach would wake him, but if he were to stay awake, his drowsiness would only increase. If only he ate some more back at the stalls... Luckily for him, he heard a knock on the door and then Aurora's voice.

'Hey Poke, it's Aurora. Are you done getting cleaned up? 'Cause I brought you a surprise.'

He got up instantly. A surprise...? Poke hadn't had a surprise for a long time, except for finding out he had weird powers. So he called back, "Yeah, I'm finished! What's the surprise?" Thoughts ran through his head, mostly about food. If it were, Poke was going to owe Aurora so much after he finished eating.

Aurora pushed the door open, happily. There was a large grin on her face as she set the tray down on a table and pulled it over to the bed. He seemed rather excited for the surprise. Hopefully he wasn't disappointed at the sight of food. "Dinner! I thought we could eat in here together. My father is out supervising the fields and I'm not sure where my mother is. I'd rather not see her face anyway. I hope you don't mind it being just the two of us." She organized the items on the tray so that one could easily grab at anything on it. She set the bottle of wine and the pitcher of grape juice down on the table alongside the tray and handed a glass to Poke. [color="666ff"]"Here you go. I brought you grape juice. The best you'll ever have." Aurora poured the wine into her glass and started spreading some cheese onto a small piece of bread. She topped it off with a slice of meat and popped it into her mouth. It was delicious, as always. There wasn't anything in the home not worth eating, unless it were in the trash.[/color]

 

He smiled, for he was right. "Yippee, dinner! Hopefully, my stomach won't growl after this." He focused his eyes on the food, marking each one. Wow, that's a lot compared to what I can loot. "Grape juice?" Poke was not a dweller of the modern foods, so he grabbed the cup and drank the juice. "Whoa, this tastes really awesome!" After emptying the glass, he noticed what Aurora did with the bread, cheese and meat. Mimicking her movements, he made his own, and took a bite. "Wow, this is better than anything I've ever ate! Except the juice."

This one called her "pretty thing" he wasn't any different than the rest of the people outside. No matter how strange the blue haired boy calling himself Icarus and a fallen god was...she would earn her food for the day. Inching closer to him, she removed his hand from her shoulder and set it on her chest. "It's impossible to believe... Perhaps you should....assure me at least one of you is real. I don't...get many guests that are as handsome as you are." Letting go of the curtain around her, Clover placed a hand on his thigh. Still holding his hand to her chest, she bowed her head and licked his hand, nibbling lightly on his knuckles.

"Well, I'm glad you like it. Eat up! There's plenty more if you're still hungry." It was sweet having Poke around. It gave Aurora someone to talk to other than the hired help. So many people depended on her family in order to support themselves that if Lord Giges ever managed to put them out of business as well, then it would ruin the lives of hundreds of people. Seeing Poke so happy made her smile. At least she was doing one thing right. Aurora may have been wasting their money, but at least she was helping people while she did it. That's what made her happy. Not this frivolous suitor crap. She took a sip of her wine and giggled as the boy ate. He was entertaining at least. More entertaining than any of the men she had met. The wine was delicious and always seemed to calm her down when life was a mess. It always made her feel less lonely, like it was a liquid best friend or something. It was strange how it never seemed to affect her the way it did other people. She stared down into the red liquid, lost in thought. It almost looked as if she were hypnotized or something of the sort. Aurora smirked at the wine in her glass. "Too bad you're not older."

 

Poke was happy at hearing that there was more food in case if this wasn't enough for him. He started wondering how much money Aurora had, being able to afford this much food for a stranger. I wonder...they DO own a stall...Maybe they earn lots of money that way. Wonder how it's like, owning a stall and having other people do work for you instead of the other way around... Suddenly, memories started flowing in to his head. He started eating his food faster, trying to push back the terrible thoughts caged in the deep depths of his mind.

Even as he were eating,, his hearing was as good as it ever was. "Not older? What does that mean?" All sorts of thoughts once more ran through his head, as he stopped eating. Maybe she means that, if I were older, I could be more smart and play sophisticated games...like checkers or something.
