OoC:// Oh look, I'm back. :3 With a new character... Uhm, I need to make a picture... Or find one... Hmm...
Uh sorry if I'm missing some things. Didn't have the time to read anything except for skimming here and there....

Devlyn's red eyes opened. It was nighttime. He wasn't really too sure on what was happening. His home was ravaged and abandoned. Light from a lamp post outside flickered. He spotted blood on his walls. His windows was shattered. Devlyn shook as he stood up. His body ached with bruises, cuts and shock. The world had gone to Hell and he managed to slip through its claws for now.

Devlyn quickly and quietly padded out of the room and towards his kitchen. The power was out in his house. He was thankful the lights outside were still working if barely. Devlyn opened one of the drawers and withdrew a flashlight. He moved silently to the bathroom and shut the door behind him. He knew he was temporarily safe here since there were no windows. Devlyn flicked on his flashlight and pulled out his phone. He scrolled down the list of names in his phone. Devlyn dialed his mom. No answer. He dialed his dad. No answer. He dialed his sister.
    Ring.
    Ring.
    Ring.
'This is Xioimara. Leave a message.'

Devlyn leaned back up against the door. He shakily shut his phone and ran a hand over his face. 'I need to go check on mom.' Devlyn decided. He paused for a second. Devlyn opened the doors of his sink cabinet. He reached way back and pulled out a small bag. He unzipped it and withdrew a small handgun. It wasn't much but he was sure it would hold him off if just for a little bit. Devlyn huffed and opened the door to the rest of his forsaken house. Devlyn cautiously headed for the exit, his flashlight and gun at hand. He found his way out and decided to cut through backyards rather than take the streets. It was safer and easier.

Devlyn arrived at the apartment that his mother lived at with his father. He ran up the stairs to find the door already ajar. He didn't want to go any farther. Their car was gone anyways. He hoped they decided to evacuate. Devlyn backed down the stairs and ran towards the school. Unless his sister skipped, which he was aware she was quite notorious of, she would have been at the high school when this went down. He silently thanked his mom for having moved so close to the school.

The school was empty except for the lifeless walking souls that prowled the area. Devlyn started to hate the night. He couldn't see around him. Devlyn ran down towards the lots. There was still a lot of undead around the parking lots but it had cleared out once the activity of the high school disappeared. Devlyn caught sight of his sister's bike and slowed as he neared it. He shined his flashlight on the ground. There were plenty undead around it and blood. Lots of it. Devlyn followed the blood with his flashlight and decided it would be best to start moving again. He might be able to find his sister or somebody. Plus the light was attracting unwanted attention.

Devlyn started and stopped after a few steps. He turned back and took his sister's motorcycle. He didn't know how far away or what he was being led to. Devlyn pushed it though as to keep quiet as long as possible or until he was starting to tire. He quickly found the source of the trail though as well as his sister. She had managed to pull herself onto a roof before she died. Devlyn felt tears stain his face. He shook his head and almost screamed.

He couldn't do anything. He was too late. Devlyn felt guilty as he took her weapon and knife. He needed it more though. "I'm sorry..." Devlyn left the roof and went to the motorcycle. He felt it was best to leave town. He didn't know where to go but just to find some survivors would be good enough. Devlyn started the bike and took off. Devlyn raced down the street, just trying to get away from anything and everything. He soon found himself passing crashed cars and more dead people.

Devlyn passed a series of buses that were crashed. He strained his ears. It didn't sound too dead in the bus. There were plenty of undead lurking on the outside. They could have easily crawled inside. Devlyn's concious got the better of him and he stopped the bike. Devlyn took his flashlight, and handgun. He kept the knife at his waist. 'They would have just used the emergency window exits if they were there..." Devlyn shook his head and quickly realized he had caught the attention of a deadhead. He kicked them back and ran towards the bus. Devlyn made his way through a small horde with some difficulty. He was scratched and bruised already. Devlyn stood on the small bumper that stuck out on the back of the bus. He put the flashlight in his mouth and handgun near his knife. He pulled himself up ontop of the bus and looked for one of the exits on the top of the bus.

Devlyn pried open a small opening at the top of the bus. He looked down on the inside of the bus. "Hey!" He called. Devlyn was quick to grab his gun again. He peered down to see if there was any living souls with his flashlight.

Mya jerked her head up and saw a person outside the bus. Hey! In here! There are a few of us who survived. We need help to get out! She doubted it though. More zombies appeared in a distance. [/We won't make it. There's too many. We need a distraction of some sort. Maybe... She looked down. She still had a gun and a flashlight on her belt. Could she buy them some time?

Josielynn looked up as well. "Hey!" she grinned happily. This was good, well it sounded good in her head. They could escape to the top, but then they'd be stuck on top with Zombies moaning below; like a cat stuck in a tree. "We need to make a distraction...Like throwing something far away!" she walked to the middle of the bus, behind the people with weapons."Like a blow horn, we'd just need tape....I also need a weapon.....Wow this is stressful." Josie bit on her left thumb.

Mya shook her head. It's not gonna work...there's too much blood and bodies. They won't go for the sound. She took a deep breath and headed to the front of the bus. I'll try to make a distraction to draw away the zombies. I'll try buying some time to keep them away from the others. Especially the children.

"Hey!" shouted Sammy as she grabbed Mya on her good arm. "No one is going on a suicide mission, all right? We'll get out of this mess just fine. Don't go wasting your life and being a hero," she said sternly, her eyes narrowed. If it's one thing she thought was unfair in the world was kids dying too early, unable to live to their fullest potential. And now in this torn up world, there's a greater chance of that happening. Even that one girl on the motorcycle. Never. Ever. Again will I let that happen on my watch she thought fiercely to herself. "Now come on, help us open this door," said Sammy waving her arm to the emergency exit. Through the window she could see some zombies coming to the bus and pushing on the door. Well god, no wonder why. But man, who knew they were so strong. Wait a sec.... Turning around, it was then that Sammy spotted someone to the side, coming from the emergency exit that was on the top of the bus, now on the side since the bus fell. "Hey dude! Go take care of the zombies on the other side of the emergency exit will you?" Sammy turned to the girl and said a little reluctantly,"All right fine. You want to play hero right? Go help the guy, but come back as soon as we're all out and moving."

Everything was a blur until she heard his voice. There was a boy on top of the bus, having pried open the top. This seemed to be their only escape so Vanilla took it. Jake was distracting the Zombies in the front of the bus, so the little girl, listening to the words of the woman to her side waited for Mya to make her move, knowing she had to be ready when the escape commenced.

"What ever we do. We need to do it now." Jake winked at the youngest girl on the bus. Just to reassure her. "Get out through the opening that guy has made. And think. A sound could work. But it'd have to be loud, long and so distracting that we can get away before the bigger horde comes." He swung forward then downward being careful to avoid splatter, and he connected each time. Acquiring a grenade from a soldier who fell on the ground. This he kept up until the bus was empty. Taunting each zombie closer and slowly exhausting himself with each swing after the first two. It allowed him to clear a way to the front of the bus which was his goal.

Grinning and pointing upward he spoke again, "Have the little one, Vanilla, go up first then everyone else. And me and the other guy down here will climb up last." He then glanced down at the radio and the grenade. "The man was using a radio to talk to us through speakers on the top of the bus. This could be our way out." With his bat the young boy bashed the radio's talk button in and used the spiraled cord to hang it so that it gently laid next to the AM/FM radio speakers for the bus's interior.

Quietly he prayed for the bus to still be alive and not knocked out from it's tip over. His prayer was answered since the engine revved upon his turning of the key and with a switch of the dials mixed with the increasing of the interior speakers volume. Smooth jazz was being channeled through the mouth piece of the dead commander's radio receiver then emitted to blare out of the megaphone shaped speakers on the top of the tipped over bus. He frowned because Jazz was nice but it wouldn't keep the zombies here as long as something with Bass. Rap. As soon as he found a Hip Hop and R&B station he got all the bus/ground vibrating Bass he could ever want. "Sound and vibrations! GO!" He didn't have to say why it was necessary to get away from this bus ASAP.
