Stuck. That was her current predicament. Josielyn scoffed, sitting on her roof. She stared at her cellphone, had opening the news channel website for updates. Zombies,Zombies,Zombies,Parasite. "I think I'm gonna cry if those things get any closer!"she thought, now giving a glance to the Zombies below her. From what the News Site read this was because of a parasite that came through cats and that it was spreading slowly. "Not Slow enough"Josie rolled her eyes. She'd have to get to the school, good thing it was just about five blocks away; thank goodness her mom found this house....Was her mom a mindless Zombie now? Oh well. Good thing about school being close: She heard the megaphone shout from her house, Bad thing: so did the Zombies. She would have to jump roofs.

 

Mya nodded and casually made her way to the school. Fortunatly, it wasn't too far as her home was close to school. She jumped over a wall and waited for Akira to follow. Hope the school grounds isn't full of zombies or else we're gonna have to fight a hell load of zombies to get through.

 

Ally was sitting at her desk practically lifeless. She had her arms extending out holding the front of her desk with gentle fingertips. Ally's eyes were wide open, showing every shade in her light orchid color eyes. Ally looked alot paler then usual. Like someone scared every tone of color in her body. But, as students came in the classroom, she just sat there, deeply thinking.

 

Josielyn walked to the back of her roof, ran forward as fast as she could and lunged for the next roof, luckily it was just two feet away. "Thank you architects" she thought joyfully as she clung to the roof. A pain suddenly made her gasp. She had a scar about three inches on her left leg going down knee and thighs were sore from the sudden hit. "No pain no game." she groaned. She stood, checked to see if her side bag was intact; luckily it didn't have much but, her phone charger,two note books and a pencil case with color pencils and pens. She then ran again and lunged for the next roof. "I hope Zombies don't smell blood"

            She could hear them, but she refused to see. They were nearing the school, she could tell that for sure. But the growls and groans were increasing. The air was becoming thicker. Her body was crushed to Xioimara's back, eyes clenched tight. This was all she had. Blind faith. That they would make it through the swarm she knew was around them. That the motorcycle could handle it, and that this woman knew had to weave and turn properly. She was scared out of her mind, but this girl...the girl that had followed her, and saved her, the one taking care of her. She managed to appear to brave and strong and confident. Vani admired her already, without knowing much anything else about her.
            
            “You can do it.” She murmured to her gently, knowing she could hear her. Childish, yes. Ineffective, probably. But it was all the young girl felt she could do at the moment. Cheer her hero on.

            Rosalie couldn't figure out if she had found his actions to be reckless and stupid, or clever and brave. Instead, she simply blinked up at him and narrowed her eyes with a quiet sigh. Her fingertips found her forehead and she massaged the spoke softly. The headache had finally come. A bit late, when she thought about it, but adrenaline could work wonders. Her chin tilted upward, eyes finding the windows.
            
            “A military bus...?” She could see humans flocking to the cafeteria as they spoke, rapidly searching for doors and knocking on the windows. Her heart was pounding. If so many humans could hear the call, there was no doubt the zombies could. This is when she finally decided that the plan was stupid and reckless. “What military bus?”
            
            She snapped, turning her attention the boy and drilling him with her eyes. Her lips were firm, pressed together. He hadn't made it up, had he? She hadn't heard anything about a military bus.
            
            

 

Sammy hurried into the house and immediately set herself to searching for the antidote to her personal parasite problem. Where was it? Where was the parasite killer that she got from her friend Tom Wu? She practically trashed her own house trying to find it as Sammy gradually felt herself losing her own willpower. Panting harshly, Sammy collapsed onto the floor of her living room, surrounded by junk, as zombies roamed about outside. Her arm fell and knocked a basket. Slowly, a bottle of pills rolled out near her head. She turned her head to look at it. There it was! Quickly taking it into her hand, she opened the top and took a few pills down. Soon, she felt her own self returning again. Breathing a sigh of relief she got up slowly and froze as it suddenly felt as if all surrounding zombies had keyed into her position adn realized that she wasn't going to turn into one of them anytime soon. Oh crap....um....what should I do? As she began to slowly panic, she heard some kind of loud murmuring in the distance that lead most of the zombies away. Phew....sounded like someone on a loud speaker or a megaphone. Wait....if I have to head in that direction to the other survivors then...oh crap. Sammy thought dismally before she heaved a sigh began searching her house again for a weapon. Well....I guess I could use this metal rod. It's definitely not going to last long. I need something that'll act like a sword. Taking a breath, she opened her door and began heading towards the source of the noise.

Xioimara glanced at Vanilla quickly as Vanilla spoke. She felt a beat of courage pulse through her. Xioimara looked back in front of her. They were at the entrance of the parking lots to the school. The undead seemed to only grow in numbers as the beasts swarmed towards the school. An undead caught her off guard. It got caught under the bike. Xioimara lost contorl of the motorcycle and tumbled off. Panic raced through her as she looked around to see if Vanilla was okay.

The stench hit her before the beast as she came face to face with one of the undead. Xioimara stifled a scream and managed to kick the monster off of her. "Vanilla!" Xioimara called. She pulled out her blunderbuss. She only had two shots left.... Xioimara scrambled to her feet, looking around to find Vanilla. Xioimara couldn't even see her bike through the oncoming horde. She bit her tongue and dared herself to call for Vanilla again. "Vanilla! Go to the school! I'll catch up!"She used the butt of her gun to try and keep any oncoming zombies away. It was futile. She was afraid to fire at the horde. What if Vanilla was there?

 

Josielyn stopped about two blocks away from the school, sitting on a roof. she panted and held back the small tears that threatened her eyes; her legs were completely white-scratched from the jumping, she had gained more scabbed scratches on them as well, and her cut was bleeding slowly still. She heard gun shots off somewhere near the school, and that seemed to attract one or two zombies from her horde. "Poor person. Must be stuck." She thought, conserving energy. She shook her head and forced her self up. School would be a safe ground, she could get some food,Gatorade,medical supplies and perhaps a weapon from the P.E equipment. Great plan. Now to just get there.

 

Brandishing her "weapon", Sammy slowly walked outside. No doubt a few zombies would be attracted to the sound of the door, but she tried to be quiet. Before she had thought about running with a great battle cry as she tried to make it to the school. But then she thought better of it and decided going at it the ninja way might be better. All right.....all right...we've got to hurry but not too fast. She thought nervously as she fast walked as quietly as possible down the street trying to avoid the zombies and get to the school. Sammy was unsure whether she should run or not. Maybe when I get closer to the school. You know, surprisingly there aren't a lot of zombies about. I wonder if I should call anyone and make sure they're okay. She instinctively reached for her bag...which was not there. Oh crap! Rushing home as quietly as she could she found her bag with everything important in it and left quickly towards the school to make up for lost time. Running silently through the streets she dodged and avoided zombies until she found the horde nearing the school. Trying not to gasp aloud at the size she retreated back around a corner. Oh man....how am I supposed to get through that? How are the survivors over there supposed to get through that? Puzzled by this dilemma, she decided to wait and watch for an opportunity of some kind.

OOC; Sorry I haven't posted in a bit, guys. In LA right now, extremely busy, but I'll post (and have Fuzzy post) shortly.

 

"You should watch more T.V., Rosalie. Just keep up and close. Do you have our stuff?" Normally he would have made a normal to him but corny to others joke about that little rhyme in his sentence but now wasn't the time. Along with humans on rooftops he spotted something else that was more important than survivors to him. His fingers clutched his bat securely, while his free hand clasped itself onto Rosalie's more firmly. He pit himself against the men and boys holding the hordes off the door. "Any second now.."

HONNNNNNNNNK HONNNNNNNNK!!!

The sounds of the horn rang and rang, the military of course knew that the sound would attract them to the bus. And that's what they wanted. Before the buses screeched to a halt their spiked and steel plated buses crunched, slammed and mowed down a clear bloody, mangled mess of undead brethren before the men inside began to mobilize. Men atop the buses manned the heavy artillery and began to rapidly fire into the crowded horde of citizens that are now walking corpses.

"IF YOU ARE IN THIS CROWD, TAKE COVER! WE REPEAT! HUMANS IN THIS CROWD TAKE COVER! COME OUT ONCE WE HAVE MADE A TUNNEL FOR YOU!"

This was the chance Xioimara and young Vanilla could take. If they didn't get shot. Jake braced himself. The doors to the buses folded upon themselves and quickly shoots rang out. A human stream of dark navy blue clad men began to shoot and push back the invading undead, almost unending they made two deadly human tunnels of raining bullets. Their guns pointed at the zombies and backs to the tunnel itself. No one would lend a helping hand for the two young women in the carnage outside.

"LADIES! WE SEE YOU! BUT I'LL BE DAMNED IF I WASTE A SOLDIER ON TRYING TO GET TO YOU! MAKE IT OR DIE! WE WILL SHOOT ZOMBIES ON SIGHT SO TRY NOT TO GET CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE! AS FOR YOU PEOPLE INSIDE! WE'VE SECURED YOUR DOOR! COME THROUGH THE TUNNEL AS QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY AS POSSIBLE TO THE BUSES! WE WERE NOT SENT HERE TO GET ALL OF YOU, WE WERE SENT TO RESCUE ALL WE COULD WITHIN THE TIME LIMIT! 45 MINUTES TOPS THEN THE ZOMBIE HORDE WILL BE TO BIG FOR OUR SQUADRONS! GO! GO! GO!"

It was passed through the lines to open the doors of the cafeteria. And the exhausted boys finally relaxed as the military men took over, not looking back as Jake himself was one of the first civilians to get the cafeteria's door open. He didn't want to see anymore zombies. So trusting in the armored men around him, he gripped Rosalie's hand even tighter and took off at a run for the open doors of the front most bus.

There's our ride out, but we have to get there quick. Akira thought hearing the military bus arrive. They only have 45 minutes to make it through the tunnel and not get shoot in the crossfire. "Come on, we have to get to bus before it leaves us. He said to Mya.

 

Josielyn heard the honking, and luckily so did the Zombies; her whole horde crippled its way to it. The young woman sighed in relief and finally made it to the last roof, just across the street from the school. She slowly and cautiously grasped the ledge and fell to the ground behind the trees and bushes around the house. The sight of all the Zombies being murdered was sickening but, not as sickening as the smell. Josie plugged her nose and covered her mouth with the same hand. Hiding behind the tree was easy but, being up the tree would be better. Though, was the schools doors open? How would she get in?

((OOC: Good point Program. I should have described that better. The front. The entrances to the buses are point towards the school. So you people outside the school have it easy too. The guards atop the buses can take out any zombies in your way as you just simply make your way towards the front of the bus doors, where the human tunnel is. Get it?))

            At first she hesitated, scared out of her mind. Her gut twisted and wrenched, her head spinning and throbbing still. Her lungs felt like they were being squeezed, and she was holding back nausea. Instead of fainting, like she wanted to, she realized that the only way Xioimara would have a clear shot is IF she ran. She didn't want to be a burden so she yelled as hard as she could,
            
            “I'M GOING! DON'T HOLD BACK!â€
            
            She didn't know how far her little voice would carry, but she turned in that instant and ran as hard as she could. She could hear the military, the revving, the shooting. They weren't coming for her. This had to be one of the most intense moments of her life. Weaving through a horde of zombies, dodging bullets, all the while her vision blurring and steps getting heavily and heavier.
            
            Somehow, she made it. She just hoped Xioimara could do the same.

            As soon as he mentioned their stuff, she made sure of it. Grasping it routinely and blinking at him shortly, before turning her attention back to the chaos outside. She realized this was their only chance. A gateway. She still wondered how in the world he would have known about these buses, and that irked her inside. But she had no time for it, because as soon as she felt that small tug on her hand and that quick pull, her mind went blank. She was focused and running along.
            
            

 

Josie sighed and decided just running was good enough idea; the military were shooting Zombie butt. She'd have to get a weapon later; she took a deep and ran out for the bus. The Zombies kept at the horn, while some smelled the blood that was dripping from her cut. She kept her eyes on the bus and her hand over her nose and mouth, and just like tagt those Zombies were shot in the head. Josielyn jumped slightly from the loud noise but made it. She jumped into the bus and fell to her knees, crawling from the doors so others could enter.

Jake didn't pray much during the day. Mostly when a test was coming his way or when someone in his family got sick or hurt. He mostly saved his talks with God at night, right before crawling in his bed. But today as he blushingly let go of Rosalie's hand and took a seat in the middle on the empty bus, he closed his eyes on the bloodshed outside his window and slowly he made the sign of the cross before opening up a list of names and prayers of safety in his mind. So there he was, the invisible kid, with a pretty girl on his left in the seat beside him, and his own head bowed and a emanation of business oozing from him as he prayed.

 

Mya nodded at Akira and headed into the tunnel, weavig through cover to avoid incoming bullets flying towards her direction. She then saw Vanilla running as well. She was grateful she was alive and not eaten. She continued running along until a stray shot hit her arm. She winced, but ignored it and made it at the end, hoping Akira made it as well.
