heres a thought (call me psycho if u want) knowing as gaint space is there is know way that we're the only planet with life like for example didn't N.A.S.A discover a planet approx. 200 million lightyears away from are moon and has more different conditions then earth but yet it's possibly habbitable. But earth can be destroyed at any second so if we ever need to move out because of war, population, pollution, etc. and we find a planet with life 1. how would we be able to get over there 2. if we move over there what if we make contact with a unknown species

Yes, I believe there are aliens. And you're not crazy for believing so.

On Mars, there was a trail left from bacteria and bacteria is life so right now theonly kown aliens are a kind of bacteria on Mars. I don't know if there are any more now but still...

I believe there might be another world like ours out there, with alien beings very similar to us.

ahh but bacteria is a living thing and mars has horrible living conditions so rather than virus it could be a "virus"

like ours i can belive but in like other worlds like for example lets say Pluto was to be come 23F there i'm sure some kinda of sea life would form but then again Pluto is solid rock but isn't there like parts on there that are.......agh my head hurts just thinking about it.

For the third time in a row, we can not travel through lightspeed at all we would die if we did, and the speed of light of a large object takes along time and a lot of power to move towards it, so much power that our conventional engines are unable to. Secondly 200 million lightyears away, it is approx. 93,000,000 miles to the sun and it would take about 4 - 7 months to get to the sun(don't quote me that is off the top of my head.) Now 200 million light years may take either decades or millina to get there. And for reference, Lightyear is the distance light travels in one year, now it takes light 8 seconds to go from the sun to the earth 8 seconds, now how many seconds are in a year. There are 31,556,926 sec. in a year now times that of 1 AU which is 93,000,000 miles equals 2,400,000,000,000,000 miles yea...thats a long way to go.

Just because there is bacteria doesn't mean that there is life. Mars doesn't have a very strong atmosphere which doesn't support to much O2 there forth, if thats a big if there is life it doesn't breathe air.

i know that would take like for ever and "currently" we do not have the technolgy to do so but if all goes well in the future i belive we will have a better understanding of space and all it's wonders but i don't see that happening anytime soon

Yea but the future looks bleak, not for technology there are a few things out there that stand a chance of making it, but as for the world itself I doubt we will be able to utilize it as needed. And i don't care how advanced technology gets I still don't think lightspeed is reachable.

well to help the future the world is going have to enforce some things so we don't end up like the movie idiocracy and if we can devolp a extremly strong Metal and have enforced seats to keep the module intact and have harnessed cold fusion then just maybe there would be a smaal chance but i doubt.

    1) Your post is Grammar Nazi attractive. Simply put, learn to spell.
    2) NASA did not discover Gliese 581c; a team of astronomers in Sweden or something found it.
    3) It's 20 lightyears.
    4) Gliese 581c is not habitable. It's neighbor, Gliese 581dmay be habitable to unknown life according to computer models. However, it is only theoretical.
    5) Earth itself will not be destroyed by us. Earth is built to last. The human species, however, can end quickly. But, I don't see that happening anytime too soon.
    6) We cannot get there. One cannot pass the speed-of-light. Worm holes are theoretical AT BEST, and it would be very hard to build one if they did exist. We're basically stuck in this solar system.
    7) On the aforementioned planet, there IS no intelligent life, regardless if there's there or not. The planet is too young to have evolved an advanced species. Also, if they WERE on that planet, we would hear something by now.

My verdict: There are no technology advanced lifeforms in this galaxy besides us. Life? Definitely. Intelligent life? Possible. Life advanced enough to communicate using radio? Not in this galaxy.

Other galaxies, there are most likely other advanced lifeforms. Perhaps more advanced than us.

EDIT: Please, kids. LISTEN IN SCIENCE CLASS!!

    1) You misspelled our, you, giant, no, the past tense of discover, replies, quotes, and habitable. You also made many grammar mistakes and punctuation errors.
    2) Not cosmonauts. They are merely Russian astronauts. I'm talking about astronomers.
    3) No prob. However, you must understand the concept of a lightyear. No offense, but your understanding of science is very flawed.
    4) No prob, once again.
    5) Impossible. You CANNOT go faster than light, and worm holes are either nonexistent or insanely difficult to work with.
    6) Only a meteor could be here in the near future. Black holes won't kill us, and the human species would have died out by the time the sun destroys Earth.
    7) We could not live there. We are adapted for life on Earth, and only Earth. The gravity and atmosphere is probably very different.
    8) Your sentence is very hard to get. -_- Out of our reach is anywhere past Pluto, which is an insanely small boundary.

    Completely off-topic:

Oh yes I can. I could spell plenty of big words when I was thirteen years old. It's quite easy to do actually. You should try it sometime.

    On-topic:

At this point in time, I don't think it is possible for human beings to travel light years away. It takes time to travel in space and it puts strains on the human body. Maybe someday in the future we will find a way to travel in space but at this point it's not possible to do so.

Here is the thing that if that you used takes all intelligence and reality out of the idea of the conversation. I can easily say, IF the covanent came to earth and killed us....blah blah blah. We all know its not going to happen, and chances are reaching c will never happen either because its an unobtainable speed that quite frankly humans or any human built machine can withstand.

    1. I wouldn't have the slightest clue but it sounds just about impossible. 2. Let's hope that they're intelligent and that we're able to communicate some sort of peace.

Now, I believe in aliens of course. How could, in all of space, that we're the ONLY itty bitty planet with life.

    Just not logical or possible.
