Anyway, your friend code is located on your friends list. On the main 3DS menu, there should be a button on the top of the touch screen that had an orange face. Touch it, and you'll be brought to your friends list. Then, hover over the square with your mii in it. It should be displayed on the top screen along with your friend code.
