Its annoying, it had been getting warmer here than it had been, but now its gone right back into a cold snap. Though apparently I'm imagining it because no-one else is cold. I am wearing three layers, and I have a blanket, and I am shivering ;-;

I have not, people keep telling me to but idk, despite the frequent recommendations, I haven't heard anyone say its anything special.

That is actually sadly true, and if they are then they are made figures to poke fun at. Personally, I find it hard to find someone attractive if it looks like I could snap them in half with my little fingers. Though I am probably biased on account of being female and supporting a shape that isn't straight up and down.

Its the same for society in general though really, I mean, we tend to look away from people with physical problems and issues and we view those who have them with pity or mockery, whereas we find mental issues to be something we can't take our eyes off, see: the crazy person stood yelling in the street, or the weird old lady that eats her hair and talks to chairs. And one thing anime has a lot of, is mentally flawed characters.

Plus, tragic past cliche etc

We should investigate this, it is a little bizarre, maybe the artists find it hard to draw wheelchairs? Because now I think about it, I can't think of many western animation examples either o_O

You know, neither can I, which considering how many animes there are, and how diverse the range of characters are and the number of issues/ailments/disabilities etc that a lot of them represent, it is quite strange o_O and the one character we BOTH thought of is one of the scariest that there is, Japan clearly has a thing against people in wheelchairs, how awful D:
