You wouldn't believe how many times, a female friend of mine asks me to do his rants.

I never really had apersonal favourite, never did during Mecha series like Gundam, of course Full Metal painc was mecha but it mostly focused on humorous moments of a soldier trying to fit in with normal school life.

Only other Mecha series I seen thus far is Star Driver and Gundam Wing with SeeD/Destiny.

That's just her guess, I'll tell you this now anyway since it will be revealed later.
She see's other realities.
Basically, what she saw with Maylene dying before... it actually happened. Just in... another dimension if you will. A sort of, what-if scenario.
As for the past events, those are the realities that have already happened in her universe, so that means she won't ever see any other what-ifs from the past since they've already happened. Since they've happened, it means they can't happen any other way for her or anyone else in their reality.
But yeah, basically, she witnesses past events of people she has become close to or of a particular area she is in, or she witnesses other realities from her own perspective. She can see through the eyes of other Haruka's so to speak.
The reason why will come later. But yeah... that should clear some things up lol... (or just aid in the confusion lol)
