I brought up the Live one, and am listening to that as we speak. I brought up the second one, listened for two seconds and remembered exactly what it was from Gears of Destiny, which is how I came to a conclusion so fast. I guess you've got a point there, about the lyrics not overpowering the words. Though I think the faster pace of the instrumental one would fit better. Of course, if you could find a fast paced one such as the second with with lyrics, that'd be cool too. Either way, the choice is yours.

I think the instrumental version may work better. Whenever I choose music for my characters, I try to keep it instrumental. Except for Eddie. In Brutal Legend, most (if not all) of the songs are real songs from real bands, lyrics included. Anyway, when I choose music, I think to myself "What if this was an anime or video game? Would the lyrics clash with the character's dialogue?". It's up to you in the end, but IMO the instrumental might work better.
