Anyway, I know how to follow rules, but sometimes it's hard on forums like this. Haha!
Also, how much stricter?

If I recall correctly, sometime (shortly?) after I joined here, post count was disabled completely on everything due to abuse or something.

Also, here are the rules, and like I was telling Stardust, that's why I have a hard time adjusting to the rules here since I tend to usually go back and forth between the two forums, which will turn into three when the SEGA forums are back online, which will make it even harder. =/ They're somewhat stricter than FF Shrine, but still only have rules for the whole forum like FF Shrine rather than section-specific rules like here. Like FF Shrine, all sections count posts.

Plus, most of the rules on FF Shrine don't really even get enforced. Really the only thing they do is ban spambots, but other than that, it's pretty rule much free.

What got me curious is that some of those posts, you and RvR went by them and didn't do anything, but Stardust cleared that up for me and said that post deletions are left to moderators or super moderators, while administrators do site maintenance.

It's fine if not, or it'd be too much work. Haha, just thought it'd be convenient instead of having to click go advanced each time I try to add a prefix. /lazy

Anyway, my mom had already gone to bed, and she usually shuts hers down, but I don't think she remembered that it was on because it had been idle and the monitor had gone into sleep mode. Haha!

Usually, when it's our ISP, the DSL and Tx / Rx (whatever Tx and Rx mean) lights go off, but, obviously, nothing's the same all the time, even when there are problems, now is it? Haha!

It may have been our ISP, Fairpoint Communications, having trouble, too, but, yes, it's connected directly to the modem, as is my mom's computer -- there's a hole my closet wall for her cable to go through to reach the modem.

Yeah, I'm not sure what caused the Internet to go out. All I know is that I last refreshed the index page at 12:02 AM for this forum and at 11:57 PM for the Final Fantasy Shrine forums, and when I went to refresh both indexes at 12:07 AM, nothing loaded.

I tried leaving the modem off for a few minutes, and that didn't work, so I tried restarting the computer and resetting the modem while it was restarting, and that didn't work, so I tried leaving the computer and modem off for about 10 minutes, and that didn't work. After that, it was about 12:27 AM, so I just gave up and went to bed.

I was planning on logging out of here and FF Shrine around 12:30 AM, anyway, but I'd rather have had Internet until then than not. =/

Unfortunately, I'm not skilled in networking, so... =/

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I turned the modem off so it would be off all night, and when I turned it on this morning at 5:45 AM (yes, I naturally got up that early today), the Internet was working.

Anyway, here's something I posted on Stardust's profile after the move that you might find funny. Not haha funny, but ironic funny:

"Meanwhile, on the Final Fantasy Shrine forums, still no server timeouts since the one on July 18th..." :)

Anyway, that means that we can now fix all of these issues within the database, such as the ones I mentioned. The more major ones come first, of course, as those take top priority.

It should be noted that the New Posts link hasn't broken since the move.

I did notice that the loading speed is now the same speed as the SEGA and Final Fantasy Shrine forums' loading speeds. Isn't that great? :)

Perhaps I should remove the 7:20 PM - 9:45 PM time period from my thread since it was most likely from the server move? :)
