Why do they do that? The alarms are spread all throughout the school, it wouldn't hurt to have it a good few notches quieter. That way we would be able to move faster because we won't be concentrating on how to block the noise out and save our ear drums.

Lucky... the schools I went to, it was unbelievably loud. One time I thought I couldn't hear anything by the time we got out of the buildings.
