The second time, I actually blacked out, but thankfully nothing serious happened, I was back after about ten to fifteen seconds.

Not a problem. It's not something I have trouble with, since I'm naturally sensitive to heat (which is why I prefer the cold), but Bushy knows these things.

It's happened to me once or twice.
The biggest danger is blacking out or falling over from numbness in the legs and hitting your head.
That's pretty much it.

The sudden temperature change would have shocked your body or something like that.
The heart would try to compensate for the sudden change in temperature by pumping hot blood around the body
And yeah, when the heart goes too fast it triggers all sorts of other functions like adrenaline and stuff.
The side effects can be partial or complete numbness
*blacking out
*loss of hearing
*loss of sight
etc
It's nothing serious to worry about though, but in future, you need to be careful when transitioning from a really hot shower.
