Indeed, which is why I'm thinking that I'd bring in the alternate Shinji from Campus Apocalypse. In that series, Evas are weapons that can be projected by certain individuals, a la Persona. Shinji's is a gun.

Evangelion isn't 100% mecha. The 'mecha' they pilot is actually alive, and 90% biological.
I may just include Shinji in CC, though I think him and Eva 01 might be a little overpowered together.
